You send back and "lol" along with a picture of you smiling, more pale than normal, and covered in your blood from your recent fight. Momo says that you should be saving yourself for the exam, you respond with an esoteric laughter equivalent that your sister told you about from message boards, "kek." You have to explain that to her on your way back to your house to change. You stay home for the rest of the day after saying goodbye to her, and it's a pretty uneventful night.

The next day is the day your team is to meet for your payment for the delivery mission. You spend the morning at home, your father giving you some pointers on hand seals, and you learn a bit from him. You meet Jimmaru and Hakurin in front of the Administration Offices, Hōōmaru-sensei showing up about five minutes later. When you're all there, you retrieve the standard payment for a C-class mission. There are a few more missions on the board displaying them.

Sensei and Jimmaru seem inclined to take a C or even D rank mission, you manage to get Hakurin on your side, and persuade them to choose a B-rank mission. Hōōmaru-sensei chooses one, not letting your team see what it is, telling you that you'll know next week. After she winks at you, and seemingly prepares to leave, you stop her.

"Hōōmaru-sensei," you take a deep breath, "I think that our team should participate in the upcoming Chunin Exams." Hakurin appears excited by this, and Jimmaru less so, which is the opposite of how it normally goes.

Hōōmaru-sensei takes a deep breath and sighs, "Alright, I'll sign you up when the time comes." She pats you on the head, "I'm sorry I can't do anything with you guys today," she smiles happily, "I have prior obligations..." She pirouettes on her way out and disappears.
