>You are Princess Zelda, heir to the fallen throne of Hyrule

>Your father, corrupted by Power, died in a coup, your Kingdom shattered in a civil war 10 years ago, the Hero in Green giving his life to ensure you escaped the conflict

>An uneasy peace has returned to the land, but omens of a descent into greater chaos than before loom on the horizon

>You, Zelda Hyrule, have the potential to claim your birthright and restore the Kingdom to what it once was, bring back true peace to the lands. Your path ahead is not set in stone; you must chisel it in yourself. What kind of Legend will you create?

You walk with Lynna back to the Zora's Domain, having said your goodbyes to the River Zora and searched through the Temple a little, finding little else but another Red Rupee Lynna agreed to hold onto. You reach the elderly Zora and quickly give him the fresh water. He breathes out and seems to quickly recover some strength. He looks at you and Lynna with a warm, welcoming smile. "I... I see that you have succeeded."

"We have, sir. I-it was mostly Termina that did the footwork, but the Temple is back to normal. Ah... its guardian sends his wishes that you recover soon." Lynna tells the elderly Zora, sitting down on a stool.

"Did you manage to find Tijo and Toto?" the younger Zora asks eagerly. Lynna flinches slightly, trying to avoid eye contact.

>A. ...yes

You look to the young Zora with heavy eyes. You're not going to lie to the boy. "...yes. They... are at peace."

You see his heart sink, eyes start to water. "...no..."

"The one who did the deed has been vanquished. A monster created of the blasphemous arts that have plagued other Temples. They will not threaten the Zora again." You give the boy an assured look of grim determination. "And I will stop the one responsible for this."

The boy nods, but hides his face. The elderly Zora sits up. "I thank you for letting us know. We will try to get word out soon. You both have saved many lives, and saved our home. The Zora will be in your debt."

You head out with Lynna, the woman giving you a worried look. "Termina, are... w-well, I mean, if you'd rather keep up your quest, I won't stop you. But I do think you should take some time to rest..."

>A. I did say we'd head there after we were done with the Temple, didn't I?
>B. I would like to press on, but I promise that I'll head to your town soon. Within the next day or two
>C. So long as there are no further comments on swimwear being too small, I shall

You look back to her. "I did say we would head there after the Temple was over, did I not?" you ask, then, with a slight smirk, add "So long as there are no more comments on swimsuits being too large for me, that is."

She giggles. "Hey, it's true. But I'm sure I can find one that'll fit."

After exiting the Zora's Domain, the vast Hyrule Field before you. It's barely been a couple hours since you arrived, but it feels almost like it's been a day or two.

'Heeheeho!' Child, do you intend to head to the village on your own with the girl?'

Ah, Keaton...

>A. The more scenic route will help calm the nerves, and I'd wish to talk with her while I walk

You give a soft smile. 'That I do. The scenic route will help calm the nerves. And I wish to talk with Lynna some on the way.'

The Keaton's voice echoes laughter in your mind. 'Very amusing, child. You continue to have some rather interesting traits.'

'Meaning what, exactly?'

'You're a clever girl. You can figure it out.'

You look at the mask's location under your poncho and smile, still walking with Lynna. You make it past the entrance to the Lost Woods, causing the woman to recall something. "One of the town's kids ended up going in there on a dare. Will, I think it was. As soon as his parents found out, they panicked, leading a massive search party for the boy. Some started to give up hope as the sun began to set, but the strangest thing happened. My father found him, accompanied by three other children, dressed in green. They claimed to live in the place. Will seemed to have become fast friends with them, but after getting the boy to my father, they ran off, telling him to be more careful next time. He chased after them, but couldn't find the kids. Only three small trees." She laughs. "Ah, dad loves telling the other children that story, gives them goose bumps. Will being there to corroborate it leaves them all the more enthralled."

You rub your chin as you listen to her story. Reminds you of some things you used to hear about from Impa, the children of the forest, the Kokiri. But she always said they haven't been seen hundreds of years. Anyway. "You seem to like your father quite a bit, Lynna. But what about your mother, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Never met her. Dad said she was gone shortly after 'the stork put me on his doorstep.'" she says, giving quotes to the last part with a short laugh. "He never remarried. Raised me himself. Wasn't always easy for him, but we made it work." She gives a bit of a stretch, skipping the next few steps ahead of you while humming a little tune. "Was the one who taught me to fish, ah you'd probably like him. He's really friendly."

"He certainly sounds it." you comment.

"How about your father, Termina? Or mother?"

>A. I lost my father when the war started... or perhaps before, depending on how you look at it
>B. I don't have a high opinion of my father, I'd rather not bring it up
>C. My mother also died when I was young, sad to say
>D. Was raised by my Aunt, Yuga, for most of my life, if you want to talk about parents

"I was raised by my aunt, Yuga, if we're talking parents." you reply, avoiding talking about your late mother and father. "She's raised me since the start of the war."

Lynna seems to get the hint fairly quickly. "A-ah! I see! Well... what's she like?"

"Kind. Protective. Assertive. She was the one who taught me most of what I can do now. She made a living keeping monsters clear from the area around Kakariko, taking odd jobs on occasion. She's currently away with an important job."

Your friend listens attentively. "So, does she... know about you heading off on your own?"

You laugh. "I couldn't keep this a secret from her if I wanted to. She's aware, though she probably wishes she wasn't."

"Yep. That's family all right." she adds.

You smile, but your mind can't help but go back to the Gossip Stone. Eyes... of red. N-nah, couldn't be. You come over a hill as the sun starts to lower in the sky, thankfully no sightings of monsters anywhere nearby, having stuck close to the river. Lynna makes a soft but joyful sound. "There it is! Home sweet home!" She spins around, smiling sweetly, walking backwards as you arrive, arms behind her back. "Welcome to Gaebora Town, Miss Termina!"

It's a small village, but seems to be fairly cozy. The orange color of the sky giving it an oddly welcoming glow to it as you spot ships in the sea heading to and away from port. You continue walking as you see kids playing, a group of people chattering amongst themselves loudly.

"I'm telling you, it worked itself out, didn't it? The Zora know what they're doing up there." a tall, scrawny man with prim and proper clothing states.

"Water kills the fish for a few days, only to suddenly get better JUST NOW? Don't you find that a little suspicious?" a more portly one in fishing clothes asks. "We should still send a party to investigate."

>A. The issue was solved

"Lynna, why don't you tell them? I'm sure they'd believe you."

She gives a nervous gulp. "Ah... w-well, maybe, but..."

"Not one for praise on saving your home?" you question.

She gives a laugh almost as nervous as the gulp. "I mean, not that I'd mind... but I don't want to make a scene."

"Have them spread the word, they don't need to start speaking on who saved them if you do not wish it." you suggest, starting to walk towards the two.

She hesitates, but with a sigh forces herself to come with. "...here goes nothing."

The two men stop their arguing as they hear you approach. "Lynna? Why, what are you doing here? Your father finally catch something? Well, he isn't the only one with good news."

She pouts slightly. "I haven't been here for the last few days. I went down there myself."

The larger man guffaws at that statement. "You... lady, you feeling okay?"

She looks away, hands balling into fists. "I wasn't going to wait for the council to just sit by while more people got sick. My new friend Termina here found out the cause. A terrible monster in the Temple of Nayru."

The two men look you over. "A bit young. You barely look like an adult, lass."

"I am sixteen." you reassure them. "And what she claims is true, there was a monster."

"Forced the Zora to evacuate, the few left behind were... not doing so well." Lynna continues. "In any case, it's been slain. The water should be safe now."

"Why that's wonderful news! We'll have to let everyone know tomorrow!" the scrawny man states.

"Y-you do that..." Lynna states, quickly turning and trying to walk away.

You follow after before the two start questioning you. She moves far quicker than she was before, you almost having to sprint to keep up. "Is something wrong?"

She reaches a smaller house by the beach, cheeks reddening. "I'm not good talking in front of crowds. Hope they don't make me have to explain to everyone."

>A. Is that all?

You bow your head humbly. "My apologies, then. I didn't mean to force you into that."

"N-no no! That's not what I meant, just..." she rubs the back of her neck. "Eheh, it's something I have to overcome some day, I guess."

"If you wish, I could speak for you." you mention.

She giggles. "You're too nice, Termina. Thanks, but... I couldn't ask that of you." She opens the door to the cozy little home. "Dad, I'm back! And we have a guest!"

You walk in with her, a sense of nostalgia coming to you. You find yourself reaching for your house key almost instinctively. Maybe... you should stop by there before you head to Death Mountain. Or not. Time to rest shouldn't lead to distractions, after all. You still have a Hyrule to save.
