“Okay, everybody, okay!” Griselda tries to get all your attention, but everyone is more or less pooped from all the fireworks from last night and the night before, not to mention the surprisingly close match yesterday. All of you sit on benches in a makeshift briefing room in a tent set up for precisely that purpose. “Yesterday’s match was very close, I don’t want that to happen this time. This time, we’re all going to stick together, and force our way into their lines and nail their flag tank. And today’s flag will be…” She opens up an envelope. “… Serafina.”

“What!?” Serafina yells out, now suddenly surprised. All the Poles groan and shout in frustration, in Polish of course. “Can’t we make someone else the Flag!?”

“It’s random, Serafina,” says Iris.

“Hmph!” Serafina folds her arms. “Random my-“

“Okay…” She holds up a hand, silencing them. “It will be Ellie’s responsibility to keep you safe. We’re now starting on the opposite side of the field this time, which means that GWMA will get the benefit of the village. So today, let’s not get ahead of ourselves, okay? We have a simple plan, let’s make it happen in…” She rolls her sleeve up to check her watch. “Five hours.”

Everyone grumbles a little, tired. “Come on, wake yourselves up,” says Iris. Everybody stands up and starts filing out. Griselda sighs in frustration, rubbing her forehead a bit.

I doubt it past matches had no one bringing back damaged tanks since there is some penalty or risk of them not working as well.

Not to mention the over abundance of spare tanks
>>
> Stay with Griselda a bit, make sure everything’s squared away.

You and Griselda look over the map a bit. “So I’m thinking, we do what they did, maybe try and split them up once we see them. Fast tanks will try to lure out what they can, big tanks will try and draw the major amount of damage.” She sighs. “It’s a shame that our flag is the Pershing again. I really wish I could find the Poles something that more fit their particular er… quirk.”

“Yeah, they’re pretty impatient,” you say.

“Mhm.” Griselda rubs her chin a bit. “Other than that, I’m banking on Iris being a miracle again with her kills. She could reach 30 this round you know. That’s the fastest anybody in NATO has ever reached 30 kills in a single season,” she explains. You smile a bit, as does Griselda. The both of you are proud, that’s for sure. “Are you okay with taking care of the Poles for now?”

“I am,” you say. “It’s nothing I can’t handle.”

“Well, alright then.” Griselda sighs, rubbing at her eyes. “Augh, last night was heck of a thing.” She snaps her fingers, looking at you.

“Yeah, fireworks are always nice,” you say. “Think we can get them today?”

“If they don’t deploy the Hellcats, yes,” says Griselda. Oh? Is she not confident? “I’ve made a horrible mistake, I thought GWMA would be a pretty easy team to put away but this…”

“You’re right,” says Griselda. “Today we’re going to stick together as one group. If they try to spread us out or herd us into a kill zone, we can definitely fight our way out of it. We’ve got the better tanks.” You nod, that’s the Griselda you want to see. She smiles happily, rubbing her hands. “Alright, well, get outta here. I’ll look after our tanks.”

“Alright, Griselda.” You start walking over to the tent flap. “Good luck, okay?” She nods, giving you a thumbs up.

Denise, Serafina, Winona, Ingrid, Josephina, and Stack were all crowded around last night’s reward, Lang the cream-colored draft horse. He neighs a bit, definitely docile. “Aw, he’s such a darling!” Denise holds his reins, gently petting his head. “Does anybody know how to ride him?”

“I rode a pony once,” says Stack. “This ain’t no pony though.”

Ingrid scoffs. “Pony’s would still be too big for you.”

Stack fumes a bit. “Why, I oughta beat you like a rented ass, Ingrid!”

Winona folds her arms. “He’s not like Cuddles though. I can see why girls like horses though, they’re so pretty!” She looks over at you. “Oh, oh, Elodie! Want to try and ride him before the match?”

“Look, I have very good transportation in my assistant, Denise. Her Kettenkrad gets me everywhere and I-“ You blink, and see that Denise is trying to climb up onto the saddle with some great difficulty. “Denise, get down from there!” She gasps, then drops down, ashamed. “You’re going to get hurt!” Lang huffs, hanging his head low. “Oh, don’t you start!” Wait, you’re talking to a horse!

Serafina smiles. “Boy, what I would give to get a horse of my own! I’d ride him everywhere! And adorn upon his flank some wings and be like the heroic Polish Hussars of old!”

“Well, technically, the horse belongs to LGA,” you say. “Anyway, are you all prepared for the match today?” They all nod, except for Serafina. “Serafina.”

Serafina grumbles a bit. “I hate being important. I just want to charge in and destroy them! Can’t we do that this match!?”

“Serafina, you’re the flag tank,” you say. “You can’t.”

“Why not?” Serafina pouts a bit. “It’s not like this is the 2013 ITL. There’s nothing at stake!” That-… that is very true. Still, you have to convince her to be a bit more… cautious. How?

“1. I’d be very unhappy. 2. Griselda will be very unhappy.” Serafina grumbles, holding her arms. “But 3. If we win, I’ll let you ride the horse.” She gasps, grinning happily. “Got that?” She nods quickly. “Alright. Get outta here.” She pumps her fist, running off to join her crew.

You and your crew watch as Serafina leaves. “To be frank,” says Winona. “She’s right. There really isn’t too much at stake for us. It’s not like we’re fighting for our school’s survival.”

“Well-“ You sigh. “Fight as if you are, okay?” To be frank, it’s kind of disappointing that you’re not. It would really motivate the teams into doing more. It may even get the sportscasters to stop projecting LGA as dead last with the likes of say… what team did Ingrid always bash, the Braves? Ah, forget it.

All of you commanders have assembled on stage in front of the huge crowd. The Judges were still making preliminary preparations. That left some time to talk casually. You and Griselda were striking up conversation with Carolina “Swamp Fox” Greene. “So, Carolina. What tanks you bringing today?” asks Griselda.

“Hm, the brave horses I intend to bring are a secret for the next five minutes.” You look out to the bleachers, folding your arms. “Oh, Elodie? See someone you know out there?”

You-…

You gasp. Oh no.

“Whoooo! Ellie!” IT’S YOUR PARENTS! WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING!? Dad is sucking on a bottle of beer, jostling the unfortunate guy next to him. “THAT’S MY KID DOWN THERE! HEY, ELLIE! ELLIE!” Mom as well is waving her arms, trying to get your attention.

“ELLIE! ELLIE!” Mom screams to you, waving her arms up and bouncing up and down. “HI! ELLIE!” You gently wave back to them, trying to smile. “SHE WAVED AT US!”

“SHE NOTICED US! WOOOOOO!” They chestbump each other, waving their beers and hands around in excitement as if it were a football game and not a much more refined Tankery match. You slowly bring the lip of your helmet over your eyes and over your cheeks, trying to hide your blush. Ooooh, what are they doing in Ohio!? They must have driven hours to see you! “HEY ELLIE! ELLIE!” You wave to them again. “ELLIE, KICK THEIR ASSES! YOU GOT THE BIGGER BOOBS, ELLIE!” AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Griselda giggles a little. “They’re charming.” Oh shut up.

The Judges step up between you and GWMA. “The Flag Match between George Washington Military Academy and Lafayette Girls Academy will now begin. The objective of this match is to eliminate the opposing team’s flag tank!”

“Alright, everyone,” you say. “Let’s exercise a bit of caution this time. The Hellcat’s armor is paper thin, but it has excellent range and blinding speed. I have a hunch they’ll be using the dust again to their advantage, so let’s try and keep our heads.”

The Pershing rumbles next to you, twitching forward and backwards periodically. “Right!” says Serafina.

Griselda in the Sherman next to you nods. “Elodie, you have point.”

“We’ll move north first. Iris, Regina, get on either side of Serafina. Suvorov, Earnhardt, and Griselda will bring up the rear.” Everyone shouts affirmatively. “Alright, let’s go!” Your tanks start advancing, kicking up a fair bit of dust, but not so much that you’re blinded. It’s still dry out here it seems. You’re lucky no wildfires have happened.

“I see dust!” yells Griselda. “To the southwest, moving east!” You pick up your binoculars and peer through. That dustcloud is indeed expanding eastward.

Hm. Maybe they’re intending to flank you? Strange though, that cloud is a lot smaller than the last one.

“Let’s get on the bounce and start moving southwards. We’ll move down the Bowersville road.”

“Got it,” says Iris.

“Yeah,” says Serafina idly.

You look down into your turret to see Stack and Winona kicking back in the turret, reading some Crimson Skies comics. “Hey!” They all yelp, flinching. “Stop goofing off! We’re in the middle of a match!” They immediately resume ready positions. “Ingrid, Josephina, how are you two?”

“We’re fine,” they both say.

Hm. You turn out again, then look out your binoculars. The dust is still moving east. You take another look. You do see a Chaffee, or at least the shape of a Chaffee in the cloud way out of your range. But you can’t ascertain their numbers. You take a look at the trees to the far west. Nothing you can see at least.

“I think they’re baiting us.” You point to the dustcloud still continually moving eastward. “They want us to move towards that dust cloud. I think they might be moving other tanks along the western border behind that foliage.” Griselda pulls up her binoculars, squinting through them. After a minute or two, Griselda nods.

“Alright, we’ll hold position and start digging ourselves in. Bowersville will be our fallback position. Serafina!” She looks back to the Pershing, and finds Serafina idly drumming her fingers on the cupola hatch. “Serafina! Roll back about fifty meters! We’ll do a loose elliptical formation around Serafina!”

Everyone stares at Griselda.

“…” Griselda sighs. “Look, let’s just start digging ourselves in. Grab your shovels.” Everyone starts dismounting, grabbing shovels and pickaxes.

Stack turns out. “What do you want us to do?”

> Move back with Serafina

“Alright, Serafina.” Your tank moves onto the pavement with the Pershing. The Pershing twitches forward, then back again, then forward. Serafina’s driver apparently can’t get used to sitting still. “I’ll stay back with you. Remember, if you die, no pony ride.”

She nods. “I understand.” The Pershing rocks forward again. “Hey, quit it in there, I know you want to get into the action but stop it!”

As the rest of the tanks start digging in, with Iris forming the southern block and Regina the wester, you pick up your binoculars and start peering through them. You see them to the south. Uh oh. Chaffees, moving out east. They’re slowly starting to move westward however, intending to turn your flank. And directly south are the Scotts, moving westward, firing off periodic smoke shells to obscure their movement.

“Hellcats!” yells Regina. “All of them!” You turn west, then spy the Hellcats advancing full speed from the west. Among them is the flag tank all the way in the back. There it is! But they’re waaay out of range! Damn it! And at that range too they could easily dodge most shots.

“They’re looking to envelope us,” says Griselda. “Stay strong.”

> Keep back with Serafina

“Keep back, Serafina!” You park up Oliver right in front of the Pershing, making sure they don’t get any funny ideas about charging. Serafina groans in frustration, turning in. The Scotts continue laying down smoke screens as they fly around the battlefield.

“They’re looking to blind us,” says Griselda. “Hold steady.” A shot flies overhead. A few more too from the west. The Hellcats are beginning suppressive fire. “Keep calm.” One bounces off the IS-2, ricocheting into the air.

The smoke starts building up enough that it manages to obscure their lines. You do know for a fact that they’re rallying to get behind that smoke so they can attack all at once, and from a shorter distance which defeats your range. They’ll win in a close quarters fight with their sheer numbers.

Griselda seems to know this. “Ellie. Take Serafina back into town! It looks like they’re going to rush us all at once!”

They've already got us surrounded. The fact that they have faster more mobile tanks means that hit and run attacks will be ineffective in the open, the town is small so it won't work there either.
Could break out to the quarry and try to hold out there because the steep nature of the walls might prevent them getting enough gun depression.

“Back into town!” you yell. Serafina grumbles loudly over the radio, but elects to follow you into town proper. The two of you find a nice clearing behind the church in the center of town, then begin waiting.

“Serafina, calm down. I want you to take a defensive posture next to the church facing eastward. We’ll cover west and south.” It’s going to be difficult protecting an entire town with just the two of you. But, it appears it has to be done.” Your tank crashes through fences and gardens until it finds a nice place square between two buildings. You face your hull perpendicular to the southern road, and poke out to see what’s what.

“This is Serafina!” You hold your headphones up. “We see two Chaffees broken off from the main engagement and moving up the east side!”

You look over to see a trio of Hellcats as well moving upwards on the west too. They don’t appear to notice you if they’ve seen you already.

You got any info on that? I'll see if it's possible.
>>
>>47864532
It was initially designed for mounting in a fast tank destroyer, but eventually that project died and by the time it came out, the autoloading system was used only on Motor Gun Boats and a modified version with higher capacity in the Mosquito MkXVIII. The naval version used the early L/43 barrels and flashless charge rounds for night ops, but there's no reason it couldn't be modified to use the L/50 and regular rounds.

The main question would be size, while the Churchill's pretty roomy, it's mainly in the hull, not the turret and as pic related shows, the Molins, like all autoloaders, took up more than a little space.
>>
>>47864609
If it doesn't require modifying the turret externally, yeah, it's perfectly alright in the eyes of NATO. If you can get a specific size on that autoloader compared to the turret of a Churchill IV or VII, we'll see what we can do.

>Mollins autoloader

I don't think its going to be allowed.

http://www.quarryhs.co.uk/Molins.htm

>THE MOLINS GUN

>In order to meet a perceived need for a rapid-reaction vehicle-mounted anti-tank gun, the notion was developed of fitting the 6pdr 7cwt with an autoloading mechanism and mounting it in a fast, armoured tank destroyer. The Molins Machinery Company (previously mainly noted for making cigarette manufacturing machinery) duly designed and produced a suitable mechanism. By the time it emerged, however, it had been realised that the 6pdr was not powerful enough to defeat the new Tiger tank so the British Army dropped its requirement.

The autoloader was only used for a ship gun or a anti-aircraft gun.

Weren't several tanks made that used guns originally intended for naval craft anyway?

>>47864678
Its probably more reliable with virgin maiden's blood, which we have easy access to anyway.

Your comparison with Battletech falls a bit short seeing as BT mechs are required to use autoloaders by there very nature.

> Deploy Smoke (2/3)
> Retreat to support Serafina

“Alright, one more shot!” you yell. “Fire!” Winona delivers, sending it into the Hellcat’s fragile front. It goes flipping end over end, landing on its side.

> KO: TERESA STRONG (M18 Hellcat “Thunder”)
> KILL CREDITED TO: ELODIE R. ZUMWALT (Cromwell III “Oliver”)

The other Hellcat, and the shot goes exploding off the house next to you, sending wood shards and shrapnel all over you. “Agh! Fuck!” One managed to cut your cheek. You turn in. “Deploy smoke!” Stack fires off a smoke bomb, covering your retreat.

You arrive at Serafina’s position, and take up a position on the other side of the Church. The pursuing Hellcat moves in to try and get a rear shot in, but you scare it away with a near miss. It immediately brakes and backs behind a building. “Fuck,” says Winona. She looks back. “Ellie, are you okay!?”

“I’m fine!” You reach into the medkit and pull out a bandage. “Serafina, how-“ There’s a loud rumble next to you. That wasn’t a 76, that wasn’t even a high velocity 75. Those are Scotts!

“Agh, they got Scotts shelling us now, and I can’t even see them through the smoke! I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!” yells Serafina.

Agh! “Hold fast, Serafina! Griselda, what’s your situation!?”

“They’re letting up on us! They still got a Chaffee and another few tanks suppressing us!” she says.

A Chaffee’s shot dings off the Pershing. “AGH!”

The Hellcat from before pops out of cover then fires a shot, plinking another shot against the M26. “AH! THAT’S IT! I’M GOING FOR IT!” The Pershing starts to rush out of cover.

And the .50 Cal on our cupola was never mounted on a Cromwell, because historically they didn't have cupola mounted MGs. NATO allows ahistorical mods as long as they don't require major modifications to a tank's superstructure.

> Charge in, you might as well
> Deploy Smoke
> Deploy WP Flares

You mount up on the turret .50 Caliber. “Josephina, follow that Pershing! Stack fire all the flares and smoke we have!” You speed on towards the Pershing, attempting to support it as best you can. You fire a smoke shell, dousing the target destination first in obscuring smoke. Then you fire WP flares right at the enemy. The Hellcat makes an attempt to snipe you from behind, and almost succeeds. You fire off a wild burst from your .50.

The shots… penetrate!?

> KO: SAMANTHA O’HARE (M18 Hellcat “Jim”)
> KILL CREDITED TO: ELODIE R. ZUMWALT (Cromwell III “Oliver”)

“… huh.”

The Pershing rolls past the smoke, with Serafina firing her .50 wildly and firing the main gun in the general direction of the Chaffees. “AAAGH! ATTACK!” You move past the smoke as well, attempting to find a bead on something, anything.

“They’re not attacking us!” yells Griselda. “We’re moving to support!”

Oh shit, damn it, that was their plan! The two of you rush through the smoke, and immediately are beset upon by the pair of Chaffees and the Scotts. One of them nails a lucky mobility kill on you. You go spinning out of control wildly and end up crashing into a rock. “FUCK!”

> MOBILITY KILL: ELODIE R. ZUMWALT (Cromwell III “Oliver”)
> KILL CREDITED TO: HEIDI SMITH (M8 Scott “Mister Ed”)

“Get them! Get them!” Serafina fires her .50 wildly at the Chaffees and the Scotts, but their superior speed and maneuverability means they have the advantage. And unfortunately for you, you’ve moved into the open.

Carolina’s Chaffee speeds right under Serafina’s gun and plants one into the turret ring.

> KO: SERAFINA MACZEK (M26 Pershing “Sokol”)

> - 30 MORALE TO ALL CREWMEMBERS

-

All of you sit around the trucks to go back home, dejected. That was supposed to be an easy match. How did that happen?

All of you glare at the much more dejected and angrily sulking Poles. Oh yeah, right. Serafina prods the dusty ground with her finger, blushing intensely, trying to stave off everyone’s disapproval.

Carolina meets with Griselda however. “That was a good match, a good match indeed!” The two shake hands amicably. “We look forward to facing you again if that happens in the postseason perhaps.”

Griselda smiles. “Yeah. Um, do we like-“

“Oh goodness, no. I’m not going to force you to give up a steed if you do not practice it,” she says. “But I look forward to seeing fellow members of American tankery get better, and maybe even surpass the likes of J. Walter Christie and Robert A. Heinlein in the future.” You check the news. JWC swept their opponent this weekend. The rate things are going it’ll be a miracle if you place first in the division. “I will watch your career with eagerness, Griselda. And to Elodie, I will meet with you soon, I can teach you how to ride Lang. Goodbye for now.” Carolina bows to her, then turns away and leaves.

Griselda walks over, then sees the very faint mood in the camp. “… um. Well, I mean, come on guys. We were bound to lose a few matches. Don’t worry.” Everyone grumbles. “It’s nobody fault.” Everyone looks to Serafina. “Now, this week, we’ll practice extra hard, try not let this happen again.”

Everyone dejected nods, starting to climb into the trucks. Serafina walks over to you however. Her lip quivers a little. “I’m sorry for costing us the match, Elodie.”

> “No, I should be sorry for not being a better commander to you.”

“No, I should be sorry for not being a better commander to you. I realize I might’ve neglected to teach you better,” you say. Serafina shrinks with that, even more guilty now. “As long as you know what you did wrong. And I’m sure the rest of the team will let you know that.” Serafina turns around to see the rest of the team immediately looking away.

“Yeah, you’re right.” You look up to see your own crew also looking pretty dejected. “I-… I didn’t make you look bad in front of your parents, right?”

“No, of course-“

OH SHIT YOUR PARENTS.

“ELLIE!” NO NO NO NO NO. “ELLIE!” Your Mom and Dad drive up in what appears to be a very beat up pickup truck towing a trailer. They stop up, and immediately dismount. “HOW’S MY BABY GIRL!” Dad immediately picks you up. “Oh, I’m so sorry you lost.” DAD PLEASE NO NO NOT IN FRONT OF THE TEAM. You look back and see people giggling at you. NO NO NO NO NO

Mom hugs you as well once Dad drops you. “Aw, look at that!” Mom gently caresses your cut cheek. “Your first Tankery injury! Oh, sweetheart!” She looks back at Dad. “Remember when I used to do Tankery?”

“Yeah, you always did come back with a lot of bruises, people seemed to blame me for some reason! Haha!” He laughs it off.

“Wh-… what are you doing here?” you ask.

“We drove up from New Jersey. I decided to take a vacation day, get a truck and a trailer together, visit you on one of your matches,” they say. He waves to the rest of the team. “Hey, everybody! Sorry you all lost! Guess you all can’t be my like little girl here.” DAD! STOP IT! PLEASE!

Yes it does, but to compound that with something backhanded like 'Oh, it my fault' because she was sad is disgusting,

We warned her prior to the match and she did it.

She did it during the exhibition match and she lost.

She broke formation during the elimination match and Naval Rescue was lost as a result.

We seen how she plays and instead of reigning her in like we did for this whole match, we decided to indulge her knowing it was a bad idea.

A good dose of consequences is a good way for them to wake up their idea.

Look at it this way. After this, we'd not have this problem again.
>>
>>47866072
Yeah, but we studied how they fight, we planned what to do.

The reason why we did so good was because we fought smart not because of GS's grace (for the most part) if it was GS would have graced us with Serafina running over the Chaffee's like a monster truck.
>>
>>47866132
They should have learned that from the Elimination match, hell they should have learned from the exhibition match. Even during the match when she was last flag should have been a sign that we knew what we were doing.

>>47866124
>Holding position/Putting up smoke.

Hell a fighting retreat by taking out the Hellcat in our way and Serafina backing up would have been smart.

Both had ways of winning since we were in a defensible position.
>>
>>47866139
You mean the schools that decided to play fair and only bring out an equivalent number of tanks against our depleted numbers isn't GS's graces?

What would happen if we were facing a 20 tank kursk.
>>
>>47866132
>A good dose of consequences is a good way for them to wake up their idea.

You say this but immediately right after she shows a quivering lip, we decided oh don't worry its both our faults.
>>
>>47866212
Did you see how she reacted.

This was twisting the knife.

Its not going to happen. Again.
>>
>>47866205
We fought a 20 tank team during a flag and elimination match.

We won and lost, but at least when we lost against a 20 tank formation was because we thought our Cruiser tank was no good.

This is not the same, we new charging into superior numbers was a bad idea. Not to mention she was the flag, she and we knew that this and she fucked up despite not wanting to be 'important'

The difference was between that match and this match the former was decided due to reason, while the latter was either stingy/rookie mistake

and also we still lost against Kursk in the Elimination match. Despite GS's 'grace'.
>>
> Forget it, just get in the truck

You get up in the truck, and pout furiously. Ugh!

“If it’s any consolation.” Winona rests her head on your shoulder. “I know what it feels like having embarrassing parents.” Please! You shrug your shoulder, forcing her away. “Aw, don’t be so sad, Ellie! When we get back, Carolina’s gonna give you horse riding lessons!” The trucks start moving along, back to the airport and hopefully back to LGA.

“I don’t want to ride a horse,” you say.

“You’re going to ride a horse,” says Ingrid.

“I don’t want to,” you say quickly.

“If you ride a horse, we won’t tell people about the pictures,” says Winona. Is she blackmailing you!? The nerve of her! You turn your nose up, grumbling. “Come on, cheer us up a little. I mean horse riding can’t be all that bad, right?”

“Hmph, all that bad…” you mutter to yourself. “Fine, I’ll take the free lesson, but I better not get injured by the end of it.

“You’ll be fine,” says Stack. “That Lang is as docile and passive as a husband to Yoko Ono.” You roll your eyes.

Well, if there’s anything you get to learn from this match besides keeping the Poles in check, it’s horse riding. Yeah, really useful that horse riding.
>>
>>47866283
We lost once, we won once and so we drew. How else could we have conceivably drawn against a top tier team.

Yeah because of GS's grace on how he worded the response, it could have gone the other way entirely if we took the blame.

Holding out!

They left a Chafee and two or three Hellcats swarming around. Iris and Griselda could have picked those out with ease since they had the square.

We had good defensive cover as well. Hell if could have taken out the Hellcat and made the Pershing retreated by backing up. It was a matter of time but we blew our wad early like a teenage boy.

Because it's like that match with Peru vs Colombia, it was a very close match where the key player at the very last moment fucks it up.

and unlike the Colombia vs Peru match, we had the advantage, Serafina knew she was 'important', and her attitude about it prior was terrible.

>>47866559
Poles were desperate in 1939 and unprepared. We were neither.

I saw the GUP movie and despite the 'cuteness' I wanted the slap those girls and yell 'LOOK AT YOUR FUCKING TANKS AND LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE FACING! PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS IS A GOOD IDEA!"

Hell, anons should know better but knowing them they should heavy tank, that should work. Despite a high velocity 75mm can pen a tiger at close ranges which in the map they were.

>>
>>47866871
For EXP sure, then i will love them.

but their the last people you want as allies, Look at Miho even she was like 'WTF'

Fuck the reason why I'm hating on Serafina so much is because a couple of anons who made that dumb decision to indulge her, made a couple reference to CHi-ha-tan.
>>
>>47866896
i'm comparing ourselves to Nishi.

We are better tactically then Nishi, we knew better. Yes despite that we pulled a Chi-ha-tan regardless despite the position we are in.

It was embarrassing, annoying, and frustrating especially from anon who for the most part of all the matches that we did even the ones in which we lost, did this despite common sense of her being a flag tank.
>>
Okay, can't find any measurements/dimensions for the Molins gun assembly but by examing pictures with my Mk IIC eyeballs it looks like the smallest configuration possibly achievable (aircraft breach setup/hopper with naval clip size/positioning) would NOT fit inside the turret of a Churchill IV without a decent redesign. Maybe you could finagle it into a VII turret though, if you booted out the loader and/or reduced the clip size to 3 or 4 rounds. Wouldn't be very comfortable for the turret crew, but I think it would work.
>>
>>47866933
and if it gets damaged i guess there'll be know way to manually reload in the remaining space?

Also booting out the loader would be a crass thing to do.

Here are the standings for Week 4 of the NATO World Tournament.

Lafayette Girls Academy still stands in the first Wildcard spot. J. Walter Christie is still currently undefeated in WL Central, of which LGA is also in.

Current division leaders are:

WL - NORTH: Hugo Gernsback School for the Arts (Salome Del Rio)
WL - CENTRAL: J. Walter Christie Polytechnical Institute (Perrine Hobart)
WL - SOUTH: Robert A. Heinlein Military Academy (Diana "Dix" Hauser)

Wild Cards
1. Lafayette Girls Academy
2. Sherbrooke Girls High

Notable highlights this weekend:
- (LGA) Iris Blackbourne reaches 25 kills. Flirts with NATO history and almost earns 30 kills faster than any other tanker (Current record is 29 kills by Oryola Kuznetsov at 4 weeks)

- (GWMA) Carolina "Swamp Fox" Greene executes double kill while firing only one killing shot.

- (KGB) Oryola Kuznetsov arrives on short notice, ISU-152 unavailable, elects to drive SU-76B. Earns 7 kills.

- (SGC) Rosehip and Orange Pekoe successfully entrap and encircle Sherbrooke Flag tank with excellent cruiser tank mobility and infantry tank sturdiness. Earn 17 kills between two of them.
>>
>>47866925
That's what we meant by
>“No, I should be sorry for not being a better commander to you.”
We knew she was a loose cannon and didn't plan for it nearly as much as we should have. Between now and the next match we should see if there's enough room in her tank to accommodate a political officer to keep her reigned in.

We knew she was a loose cannon and didn't plan for it nearly as much as we should have. Between now and the next match we should see if there's enough room in her tank to accommodate a political officer to keep her reigned in.

We did plan it, we had anons mentioning this is a bad idea, don't do this. but the people got taken up by POLISH FURY. and outvoted the people who said this was a bad idea.

No one listened. We are the better commander. We knew Serafina will fuck up and she did.

>- (SGC) Rosehip and Orange Pekoe successfully entrap and encircle Sherbrooke Flag tank with excellent cruiser tank mobility and infantry tank sturdiness. Earn 17 kills between two of them.

Too fast. Rosehip a best.

Damn, so close.
- (LGA) Iris Blackbourne reaches 25 kills. Flirts with NATO history and almost earns 30 kills faster than any other tanker (Current record is 29 kills by Oryola Kuznetsov at 4 weeks)
>>
>>47866989
Guess we have some work ahead of us. I have faith we'll pull through.
>>
>>47866989
Fucking Serafina, preventing Iris on making 30 kills.

Also German, despite the two or three post since we ambushed the Hellcats and Chaffee, why didn't Serafina fired a single shot?
>>
>>47867057
But if we're all just voices inside a high school girl's head, doesn't that just mean she should have listened to our own doubts?
>>
>>47867082
She was trying to be patient and wait for a sure shot on one of them (they haven't figured out fast reloading just yet), but they kept poking in and out of cover too much for her to handle.
>>
>>47867089
If that was the case then German would have wrote it as such but he didn't.

I'm not blaming German for that but goddamit, why did no one listened?
>>
>>47867106
I....don't know how to feel about that.

So they were patient enough to do that and just threw it all away in a reckless charge knowing she was the flag tank.

Knowing despite being a heavy she was knocked out by a 'light' chaffee, in the elimination....
>>
>>47867082
It isn't guaranteed Iris would have made it. She might have been knocked out or just failed to shoot enough tanks. The possibility exists of course but it is not 100%
>>
>>47867137
76mm wouldn't have properly pierced a Churchill's frontal armor and she was proven to take out multiple tanks (especially light tanks)

She had taken out multiple heavily armored tanks then the Hellcats and with them in the square formation her rear was safe.
>>
>>47867106
Time for a training montage of repentance for them then.
>>
>>47867137
76mm wouldn't have properly pierced a Churchill's frontal armor and she was proven to take out multiple tanks (especially light tanks)

>>47867193
It will be a cute montage.
>>
>>47867179
Agreed, I think we'll have to help them along (not to mention gain some assistance from Gris-Gris who knows failure and Iris who knows composure)

>>47867193
Well, we could always take a concerted effort to try and help them after work. Maybe use a vacation day for training?
>>
>>47867210
There were two to three Hellcats and a Chafee.

It took forever for the IS-2M to fire one round, and Griselda would have taken 1-2 tanks out. Iris would have taken the rest or leave one for the IS.

Then moping up the Scotts. or hell even going for the flag.We couldn't hold out because we left our bunker and walked into a machine gun.
>>
>>47867220
Why would we take a vacation day? to our mc Work>Tanks and frankly she knows what she is doing. Griselda's the captain and she has to handle it.

But oh wait, the Poles don't really respect her because she promised to learn polish. Fucking hell.
>>
>>47867232
Who cares. It's not like we can make it unhappen.
>>
>>47867265
>But oh wait, the Poles don't really respect her because she promised to learn polish. Fucking hell.
What's polish for "youze a bitch" or "YOU HAVE FAILED ME FOR THE LAST TIME, MORTAL"?

It isn't guaranteed Iris would have made it. She might have been knocked out or just failed to shoot enough tanks. The possibility exists of course but it is not 100%

In which anon expresses doubt but seeing past performance and how the current match was going before Serafina fucked up, Iris would have most likely have succeeded.

That was the point I was trying to make, not a matter of what we couldn't change it.

Also How does German does Flags, because this is the second time in a row Serafina was a flag.

The standings work similarly to the baseball standings system.

Basically, you're divided into three divisions grouped by geographical region (LGA is in central with its hometown being the general northern Virginia area). Each Division has its own leader who lead the division in points.

The Wild cards are calculated as having 4th and 5th place in terms of points and tanks killed (TK) Wild Cards are reserved for teams who have better records but are knocked out of division lead due to another division leader owning the standings.

Wild Cards in the postseason will eventually face Wild Cards from the other league, then fight their Divisional rival in the postseason.

Also, I haven't calculated the actual 1st, 2nd, 3rd place stuff.
>>
>>47867501
still which is worth more, tank kills or points because even then we beat Hugo for the latter and their in the same division, I think?
>>
>>47867537
Hugo's in WL North.

Also, points are worth more. Tank kills are for resolving ties in points.
>>
>>47867537
taking a stab here, but like most sports leagues with points/goals/runs/etc it goes points, and then tank kills.
>>
>>47867565
Then wouldn't we be in third in the western league then?

I'm not sure about the divisions since that chart doesn't say but we should be third in terms of points since Points > TK

Or am I wrong?
>>
>>47867609
Hugo leads their division which makes them technically third in the Western League.
>>
>>47867609
Hugo Gernsback's division is actually listed as WL-N for their division. And since they lead the seemingly weaker North Division, they trump us.

Closest analogy I can think of is the Seattle Seahawks a few years ago being sub .500 and making the playoffs because their division was shit.
>>
>>47867639
>>47867652
That....is kind of bullshit. Who else is in our division? Also I get it but for someone who doe not know much about baseball it's confusing.

I mean wouldn't it make a lot more sense to rank up the score by division rather then league?
>>
>>47867675
Sorry, my analogy was American Football. And as a Seahawk fan, yeah it was kinda bullshit. That hasn't happened in baseball, to my knowledge.

Our division has J.Walter Christie and Perrine Hobart. So you can see that we've a mountain to climb to get on top. George Washington is the other team in our division.

It is technically both. The way GS presents it is just how most newspapers and sites do a whole league table. I'm sure if GS wanted to, had the time, he could create three separate tables to better show the divisions and the wildcards. But because there is only two teams that are wildcards, I would guess it just doesn't matter enough to make it worth it. But that's just me guessing here.
>>
>>47867728
Rather, J. Walter is LEAD by Perrine Hobart. Sorry if this causes confusion.
>>
>>47867675
>>47867728
I had planned on dividing it into three tables for separate divisions, but overall it wouldn't change much.

Also having the two wild cards insures that teams with good records aren't completely buried. It's sort of like getting a second chance.
>>
>>47867728
>>47867739
I guess it's still confusing.

>>47867760

>>
>>47867780
Yeah, I can understand if its confusing. It's a little different if you're into any NA sports and grew up with the way the systems work.

On the one hand, we technically are not on an unbeaten streak, which isn't something to slouch at. That said, we're going to have to pull out some more wins over draws, and hope that Walter Christie drops points in cross league matches or against someone like 'Dix'

>>47867791
Good to know, its a good chance to make a statement and bounce back. And by then we'll have at least 8 tanks. Maybe we'll trip over two more to make it only a 2 to 1 disadvantage in elimination matches.

We'll just put in some extra work in training to get us back up to speed. It'll be right as rain soon enough.
>>
>>47867837
are ON an unbeaten streak. Damn its late...
>>
>>47867837
More than tanks, we're low on crews. What clubs/cliques/societies could be left to recruit?
>>
>>47867850
Maybe there is an Equestrian club...I'm just saying we have an in road now, should it exist.

And maybe we can get some more military staffers on our side.
>>
>>47867850
>>47867868

That's one of Griselda's problems. Because Gertrude's natural charisma draws in so many people to join the ITL Tankery team, there's actually very few people that Griselda can meaningfully recruit. Due to issues with ITL and NATO philosophies, ITL tankers tend to shy away from NATO with a few exceptions. And even if GrisGris wanted to recruit them or if they wanted to join, many of them are back on the mainland on summer vacation or taking a break from Tankery for the summer.

In essence, GrisGris is working with far less than her sister.
>>
>>47867897
Well to be fair, I like Trude more then GrisGris anyhow

Well, maybe we put that on the to do list for the week.

1.Work on a sidequest/generate a few new ones since only one really feels like it could lead to a team.
2. Work on training up Serafina's discipline
3. Try to help Gris-Gris recruit some teams

Seems like a solid plan, at least to me.

All of those things include cute girls and will likely be executed in a cute manner.

Cute girls are still cute when they work hard at stuff.

CUTE
TRAINING
MONTAGE

I kind of wonder what a cute training montage for Serafina would entail...the only thing I actually expect is that she stays willingly stays after practice. And just trains for hours after everyone else is basically gone. And maybe shenanigans involving etiquette club training her in their own special way.

It's going to be fun, either way.

And what this guy said. Recruitment drives and fumbling our way through side quests seem like a very easy way to get things done.
