>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirteen year old boy named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

You say hello to Giran as he lands, causing the other creatures to look at their boss in confusion.

"You know this little pipsqueak?" one asks.

"This "little pipsqueak", is the one who beat me in the tournament," Giran answers. "So show him some respect."

You begin to explain to Giran why you've come, but he cuts you off rather quickly.

"Yeah, I heard everything," Giran tells you. "The water here's held back by a dam. It's old, older than any of us, and a real beautiful work. I'd gladly release the water for you, but I can't. See, the dam's held together by Merry-Go-Round Gum. It's completely indestructible."

Nam looks down, letting out a broken sigh.

You tell Giran that you can break the dam.

"Think so?" he asks. "Well, go ahead, kid. Knock yourself out."

You make your way down-river from the dam, and several of the creatures gather to see if you really can break it down.

Standing on a rock, you look up at the towering structure, and cup your hands at your side.

"Ka....me....ha....me...."

You thrust your hands toward the dam.

"HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!"

A blue beam of light shoots from your palms, flying upward to strike the dam. You were right, your blast had the power you needed, and chunks of rock begin to crumble away, allowing the water to flow freely.

But, with how exhausted you were from the tournament, the Kamehameha takes too much energy, and you slump forward into the water, being swept down the river.

You're too tired to fight the river, and you don't want to waste what little energy you have left. So, you just focus on keeping your head above the water, and let yourself be carried away.

You see Goku come flying down on his Nimbus Cloud, and he reaches down for your hand, managing to grab hold and pull you out of the water.

Your friend directs his cloud to the spot where Nam is waiting. Several of Giran's people are discussing what you just did, and Giran compliments your strength.

You take Bulma's advice, falling asleep after telling your friends to wake you if they need you.

How much time passes isn't exactly clear, but it hasn't been nearly as long as you would have liked before you're jolted awake by the airship taking off quickly, climbing high into the air and accelerating in some unknown direction.

"Slow down!" Oolong shouts.

"What's going on?" you ask groggily as you look around.

It seems the others went for a swim without you. Bulma's wearing a bikini and is absolutely dripping wet, apparently having to rush out of the water. Krillin doesn't look much drier, but unlike her, he's clinging to his seat for dear life and trying not to scream.

Oolong is calling Bulma crazy and shouting for her to slow down before she gets you all killed.

"What's going on?" you repeat, louder this time.

"Someone stole the Dragon Radar!" Bulma shouts, bringing the ship lower and flying it just above the trees.

You ask them if you saw who did it.

"No," Bulma snaps. "Oolong was SUPPOSED to be be watching our things."

"I was distracted!" Oolong protests.

"If you didn't have to be a pervert twenty-four seven, we wouldn't be in this mess!" Bulma yells at him.

"Where's Goku?" you ask, trying to stop their fighting so you can focus on fixing the situation.

"He said he could smell something, so he's down there following his nose," Krillin tells you.

"Look out!" Oolong shouts as something shoots out from the trees in front of you.

Bulma narrowly avoids crashing right into Goku's Power Pole, which has risen above the cluster of trees that surrounds it.

"Do you see anything?" you ask Bulma as you peek out the window and try to see what's going on below.

"No, the trees are blocking everything," Bulma tells you.

You see that she's right. As you look below you can't see a thing besides trees trees and more trees.

Goku, who you notice is completely naked, swoops down on the Nimbus. The Power Pole shrinks, and Goku comes back up, clothes on and Power Pole in hand.

"The Dragon Radar wasn't there," Goku says in disappointment. "But I found this!"

He holds up an old, dirty shoe that seems to be falling apart.

"Goku, what good's a shoe?" Krillin asks.

"I can follow his smell," Goku says.

Without another word, he goes back into the forest.

Looking around, you see that the area covered by trees is actually rather small when compared to the massive desert that surrounds it on all sides.

You suggest that Bulma keep the airship high enough for you to see if the thief leaves the treeline.

"Right," she says, letting the machine hover over the oasis as you and the others keep watch.

It isn't long before you see something moving across the desert just past the trees. You point it out to Bulma, and she pilots the ship in that direction.

As you get closer, you can see that the person is quite small, and not running all that fast. Bulma puts the ship down ahead of him.

He stops halfway between the ship and the trees, sweating as he clutches the Dragon Radar tightly.

You think you understand the situation. He's a kid, probably about your age, covered in dirt and terrible clothes that are barely held together. He probably stole the radar to trade for money or food.

"Alright, kid, give the radar back!" Bulma demands.

"The what?" the kid asks, looking at the device. "This thing's some kind of radar? For what?"

You ask Bulma if she packed any food.

"Sure," she says. "But why?"

She blinks, looking at the kid, then looking back at you, seeming to see where you're going with this.

Turning around, she grabs a capsule case from the airship and produces a single capsule, which she throws on the ground, revealing a box. She opens the box to reveal a tasty looking meal.

"Alright kid, give us back the radar, and you can have this," she tells him.

You can hear the boy's stomach rumbling, and you see him begin to drool a little before he shakes his head.

"No way, this thing has got to be worth a fortune!" he insists. "Worth way more than one lousy meal!"

Bulma growls, her face turning red. "LOOK, YOU LITTLE BRAT, THAT RADAR'S MINE, SO YOU'RE LUCKY I'M EVEN OFFERING YOU A MEAL FOR IT!"

The kid chuckles nervously, taking a step back. "W-what else you got?"

You ask the kid if he'd give the radar back for a meal and a fresh set of clothes.

He looks down at his outfit, considering your offer. For someone like him, it's clearly quite tempting.

You tell him it's your last offer.

"Alright, alright!" he shouts. "Fine. I'll give you back this...whatever it is."

He begins walking over, and that's when you spot Goku running out of the forest and heading right for him.

"HEEEEEEEEY!" your friend shouts. "Give that back!"

"Goku, stop!" Krillin yells. "He's giving it back!"

Goku stops, looking over with a blank expression. "Oh, okay."

The kid brings the radar over, and you hand him the food and clothing. He scarfs his food down ravenously, and you wonder if he's eaten today.

"Mmm, this is delicious!" he declares. "Beats onion sandwiches, that's for sure!"

"You shouldn't take other people's things," Bulma scolds him, keeping her arms crossed under her chest.

"How else is a kid supposed to earn a living?" the boy asks with a full mouth. "The whole town's a dump, the only one with any money is that storekeeper."

"Storekeeper?" Bulma asks.

"Yeah, he sells all kinds of weird stuff," the kid explains. "I'm not sure what most of it is, but apparently it's worth a lot of money."

"You tell me," he answers, taking another bite of his food.

Bulma looks up from the radar, and off into the distance.

You ask her what she's thinking.

"Well, the radar says the Dragonball isn't far," Bulma explains. "And there's a town just over there."

She points, and you see that she's right. In the distance stands a small collection of ugly, old, rundown houses that could hardly be considered a town.

"So if the Dragonball's in the area, I think this storekeeper who deals in rare, valuable items might be a good place to start looking," she tells you.

You decide to race to the town with them, and the three of you stand side by side.

"Bloomers, can you give us a countdown?" Krillin asks.

"It's Bulma!" the blue haired girl shouts. "And fine. Three, two, one, go!"

The three of you dash across the desert, speedily making your way toward town. Though, speedy is probably relative, as, for you, this is slow. Your legs feel like led, and your friends are quickly gaining a considerable lead on you.

How much of your energy did you use fighting Jackie Chun? Your body should have recovered by now, so what in the world happened?

You reach the town, your legs in terrible agony as you finally stop running. Goku and Krillin have disappeared into the crowd of people on the street, but you do notice two familiar individuals walking down the street.

One is a pretty, dark-haired girl in a military uniform, and the other is a short, blue-skinned creature with pointy ears.

"I want all seven of those balls!" Pilaf shouts. "And I want them as soon as possible! For all we know, there could be others closing in on them as we speak, and if we're missing even one, the others are useless!"

"Yes, Emperor," Mai says calmly, walking by his side and glancing around.

"I need absolute perfection from all of my agents," Pilaf explains to her. "I don't want a repeat of what happened last year, are we clear?"

"Yes, Emperor," Mai repeats.

You decide to follow the pair of villains, doing your best to keep hidden as you trail them through the streets.

It seems Bulma's guess was right, as they walk right up to a store that has several antiques sitting around it.

Pilaf takes interest in what appears to be a crown, picking it up and placing it on its head.

"What do you think?" he asks Mai. "Does it look royal enough?"

"It looks fine, sir, but shouldn't we focus on finding the Dragonball?" the woman asks.

"Silence! If I am to rule the world, I need to have a proper crown!" Pilaf declares.

"Ah, I see you're admiring the crown," the shopkeeper, a balding, chubby man in glasses says as he steps out of the store. "A fine choice. It belonged to Alexander, who built a great kingdom to the Northeast of us. And now, it seems to have chosen a successor."

Pilaf takes the crown off and examines it. "Apparently, he was also called Chuck."

You see the shopkeeper sweat a bit. "That particular crown belonged to many great and influential people throughout history. But, why don't you step inside? You must be getting hot out here, and we can discuss this matter more privately in there."

The three of them step inside, and you find a place to hide just outside of the building.

"As you can see, we have many rare and valuable artifacts from across the planet, some dating back centuries," the shopkeeper explains.

"It is quite the collection, but what I'm seeking cannot be bought in any store," Pilaf declares. "I seek something legendary, something with the power to make me ruler of all the world."

"Ah, I think I know what you want," the shopkeeper says. "I do have such an item, a jewel of legend, with powers beyond imagining. Were you not a king, I wouldn't even consider giving it to you. Such relics should be kept out of the hands of peasants, right?"

He grabs a ladder and climbs to reach a box atop one of his shelves, climbing back down and opening it to reveal a Dragonball.

"I trust this is what you're looking for?" the shopkeeper asks.

"THAT'S IT!" Pilaf yells excitedly. "That's the Dragonball! Mai, you were right!"

"Thanks, Pilaf, I usually am," she tells him.

"Such a gem deserves to be held by royalty, wouldn't you agree?" the shopkeeper asks.

"Yes, it is fitting," Pilaf agrees. "With this, I will rule over this entire world, and have everything I desire! No more monkeys! Wait, this thing can stop monkey beasts, right?"

"Of course," the shopkeeper assures him. "The power of this gem is limitless!"

You stay where you are, continuing to watch as Pilaf admires the Dragonball, which you notice has four stars on it.

"Now, how about we discuss-" the shopkeeker begins before going silent as Pilaf and Mai throw several large stacks of money at him.

"Is this enough?" Pilaf asks.

The shopkeeper only answers by laughing.

"Tofoo!"

You turn to see Goku and Krillin running toward you.

"There you are," Krillin greets. "We've been looking for you."

"It's ours!" Pilaf says as he and Mai step out of the shop. "One down, six to-"

He stops as he sees you, Goku, and Krillin.

"Is that a Dragonball?" Goku asks.

Pilaf nods. "Yes..."

"How many stars does it have on it?" Goku asks.

"Nevermind that, I bought this fair and square, get your own!" Pilaf shouts.

Mai draws her gun, and begins shooting at Goku. As your friend dances to avoid the bullets, Mai and Pilaf run away.

"How many stars does it have?!" Goku shouts after them.

"Four stars, son," the shopkeeper tells him. "Four beautiful stars."

"Grandpa!" Goku shouts fearfully, rushing after the pair.

"Goku, wait!" Krillin shouts, running after him.

Before you can answer, several vehicles pull up to the store. In front is a jeep, but the rest appear to be tanks.

Som.

My Razer Deathadder 2013 had a problem where the scrollwheel would occasionally give input in the wrong direction - i.e. scrolling up when I wanted to scroll down.

It was irritating.

So I looked up a youtube guide how to open my mouse and fix it.

I opened my mouse.

There was lots of hair all around the scroll wheel. Bright red hair. Some long, most short.

So I removed most of it.

Now my scroll wheel still glitches out but not as often.

Unfortunately I managed to split one of the stickers in half (along its short axis, creating 2 flatter thinner stickers) and the sticker didn't get put back on correct.

So now my mouse has a bit more friction than normal

And that is a little annoying.

I am not sure if I accomplished anything or not.

I am proud of myself anyway though for having a go.

You do as the man says, stepping aside. However, as he passes, you ask who he is.

"Someone who has better things to do than answer a child's questions," he answers, stepping into the store.

His soldiers follow him into the shop, and the shopkeeper does his best to put on a confident face.

"Gentlemen, welcome to my humble shop," the shopkeeper greets. "What can I help you with?"

"I'm looking for something called a Dragonball," the man explains. "I was told you were the person to ask for it."

"Ah, yes, I do believe I have what you're searching for," the shopkeeper says, climbing his ladder and retrieving another Dragonball.

He hands it to the man, and takes a step back. "I trust this is the piece you're looking for?"

The man examines the ball for a moment. "Not quite."

He lets the ball fall out of his hands, and you watch as the object shatters against the ground.

"Now, where's the real Dragonball?" he demands. "I want it now."

"What do you mean? That gem was old, priceless, and fragile, it was a-"

"Dragonball," the man cuts off. "Rare, valuable, and indestructible."

He turns to his soldiers. "Search the place, it's here somewhere, buried under all this crap."

"Wait, you can't-" the shopkeeper begins to protest.

"Consider your next words carefully," the man tells him. "They will determine the quality of the rest of your life."

"I-I..." the shopkeeper stammers.

"Time's up, old man," the man tells him.

"Stop!" you shout to them as you try to take in anything you can about them.

They're all well equipped, and other than the man in purple, they're all wearing matching uniforms. Each uniform has a little red ribbon on the arms.

The man in purple glances toward you, smirking.

"Sorry, little boy, but this is adult business," he says.

A gunshot rings out, and you see the eyes of the man in purple go wide as a bullet passes just in front of his face.

He turns back toward the shopkeeper who has drawn a weapon and fired on him. The soldiers have forced the old man to the ground by beating him with their guns.

The man in purple approaches him, drawing his own gun and pressing it against the man's head.

You feel a warmth spread through your body, and focus on it. You manage to push it upward and into your mouth.

During that time, however, the man in purple is able to pull the trigger, ending the life of the balding man.

"Now, see what you can find," the man in purple tells his men before turning toward you.

You open your mouth wide and let the energy explode forward, firing a blue beam of light at the man, catching him by surprise and striking him in the chest.

The attack throws him off his feet and on to his back, but you can tell by the pained and angry grunt he makes that he isn't dead.

To make things worse, that took a lot out of you, and you fall to one knee, feeling light-headed and seeing your vision swim.

The soldiers open-fire on you, hitting you with several bullets. The shots hurt, far more than they should, and you find yourself yelling in pain as you fall onto your back.

Probably thinking you're dead, the soldiers stop firing, and the man in purple gets to his feet.

"What in the world was that?" he asks, clutching the spot your attack struck and hunching over in pain.

"Colonel Silver, sir, are you alright?" one of his men asks. "Do you need medical attention?"

"No, I'm fine," he tells his soldier. "What I need is for the Dragonball to be found."

"Yes, sir!" the soldier says as he and the others begin ransacking the store.

She turns and looks off into the distance. "Goku...please be careful."
