Welcome back, space pirates, to the thirtieth installment of Mecha Space Pirate Quest! As always, you are Admiral Roarke S. Starwind of the Iron Kestrels pilot fleet, master of the pirate battleship Rhinehawk (currently being upgraded) and pilot of the Knuckle Kaiser (which currently has its arms full with a very battered S-Flowerhorn whose pilot had some truly awful luck with /tg/'s dice)

Last time, as previously mentioned, Red Siren soundly beat SOUL Squad B's ace, Lt. Alice Clementine Farragut, in a duel. Fortunately, they seem to be reconciling, which is good because you fully intend to sleep with both of them in the next few hours. Yep, it's a good day to be you so far. This whole thing with the dual aces plotting against your mechanic, though, is profoundly worrisome. Poor Karen.

Speaking of Red Siren...

I won't question why you vote the way you do, whether you think the Archen is broken or just like Clemmy better, I'll simply trust the vote.
>>

Its fine the way it is, she usually solos raids so she should have an impressive mech
>>
>>47652991
One successful roll is 6 burst fire of 8k bullets? That's pretty broken. That does more damage than the fucking Tarrasque. Lower the burst fire or do it like Shadowrun style. Roll to dodge/parry each hit with each subsequent shots have higher malus to hit.
>>
>>47653043
Burst fire deals damage in accordance with how much higher she rolls over her opponents. It isn't particularly broken against aces of similar level, unless they roll badly, especially since the location of each hit from the burst fire is determined randomly, and she therefore can't focus fire effectively.

I'd be far more scared of Clemmy's quad-linked EMWs.

Red Siren's mech is far more of a mook-killer as compared to Clemmy's.

"Roaaaaarke, my cockpit is cold, can I ride in yours instead?" Clemmy asks for the third time in the past few minutes.

"Roarke, darling, I just sent word to my Harpies to shuttle the doctor and his little girl back to the ship...by the way, um, how much of the fight did you overhear?" You're not sure why she sounds nervous.

"We're almost there, Clemmy. Rosita, I only saw the very end of it, what do you mean 'overhear'?" Your suspicions are roused.

"Nothing!" They both reply at once. That's very suspicious. Looking down, you examine the S-Flowerhorn. There's something oddly familiar about the curving lines the lasers carved onto the SOUL machine's armor. You glance up and behind you to confirm it.

She wrote her name (in admittedly sloppy cursive) via laserfire across the S-Flowerhorn. Longways, from head to feet. She's autographed it. You hope there's a way to stop Clemmy from seeing this.

Wong, list exactly how the Archen's mechanics work. You can't just expect people to know how it's broken. We don't remember everything in the rulebook.

I think the Shadow Imager System is pretty damn cool though. Only 8 images is pretty intense. That seems like SOUL prototype level tech.
>>
>>47653162

All of them? What parts? Do you need me to repost its stats?

As for the holographic imager, the original idea was "what would be the flashiest possible sort of mech that could have combat functions based on its stage functions", and instant backup dancers and strobing arm lasers came to mind first.
>>
>>47652991
Let's trade Karen with whoever the mechanic for the Archen is on the auditorium.
>>
Looks like were gonna have to do something about this cold war our waifus have going on
>>
>>47653162
I think the Shadow Imager is pretty broken. On top of rolling to attack, you need to roll again to hit the actual target instead of her decoys.
>>
>>47653223
Can't. That's not the mechanic who designed the Archen. Besides, i think said mech had suffered a fatal icepick induced heart attack
>>
>>47653343
Don't you mean a case of aneurysm induced by icepick, anon?
>>
>>47653293
Woo Fatima to become the harem's den mother?
>>
>>47653162
It forces the attacker to roll an additional Int-based check to hit, wholly unaffected by the original attack roll. The thing is, this happens even if she has only a single Shadow up.

Having 8 Shadows is basically there so she can make up for her rather low EW skill, and to have backups in case she actually gets hit due to her rather low EW skill (and the attacker chooses to attack her Shadow instead), because most aces will have a natural Awareness check of far higher than her EW.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's possible (though quite unaffordably expensive) to become nigh-unhittable through use of Shadow Imagers and Sensor-Jamming EW systems. But not for her.
>>
>>47653223

The original developer was a genius Bahamutcorp technician who also happened to be young and handsome. Red Siren, who wasn't Red Siren back then, was a giant Bahamutcorp publicity stunt to show off their clout and design chops by making a mech to serve as a S-Pop star's personal throne and performance enhancer. The combination of a beautiful girl with a good voice and a dancing mech that handled as easily as a Bluegill was basically seen as an easy route to infinite good PR and money. It fell through when Rosita started sleeping with her mechanic. She was a spoiled prodigy of a teenager and was used to getting what she wanted, so she didn't really care that her beau was talented and connected enough to be married to a Bahamutcorp executive's daughter. Anyway, the executive's daughter found out, confronted Rosita at a party, and stabbed Red's eye out with a hairpin before throwing herself off a balcony in front of her parents, her husband, and a lot of UJCIDF top brass and Jovian government officials and megacorp bigwigs. The scandal, plus the scar, didn't just torpedo her career, it sunk it completely. She didn't even get her man, because he blamed her for the end of HIS career and killed himself too. She ended up stealing the Eilonwy, fleeing to California Station, using the last of her money to refine some of its features for combat and renaming it the Archen, and then founding a pirate crew out of her remaining fans and putting out records without Bahamutcorp's seal of approval.

In short, her original mechanic is dead.

Use heavy Autocannon's damage instead of the Heavy Beam Cannon. 8k * 4 is pretty silly. 8k * 4 * 2 is also very silly. That's in one action. How in the fuck is she dual wielding something that can do that much damage. Miles sniper (Heavy Cannon) is 9k.

Moving the damage to 6k seems manageable. Heavy Beam Cannon is 8k but isn't burst fire.

You modulate the thrusters in your right leg slightly, compensating with your left in a slow, natural turn. You hope that was thirty-five degrees.

"I'm going to pop his head between my fingers, he's explaining to me that he's just going to switch targets." Clemmy growls, "Roarke, we might be in trouble. One second!"

You take a look at your instruments. There are a lot of small ships at least a few other mecha around, most of them in motion...but one of them is oddly still. It's notable because of how far away it is, out of your scanning distance but still within detectable range.

A single large mech floating, utterly placid, nearly ten kilometers away.

Clemmy's voice comes back online, "Roarke, I'm not sure what to do, one of my teammates is out there with a long-range weapon, and he's going to pick off whichever of you he gets a shot at first. Now I'm stalling him a little, he can't quite hit you with me at this angle even if he probably wants to shoot me, but it's possible he'll start going for your other fiancee or the Harpies instead."

Red Siren suddenly chimes in, "Darling? I just spotted something's heat trails zip behind one of these freighters. I only caught a glimpse, it was just visible on infrared...but we're not alone."

>[what do?]
>>
>>47654025
Engage Scatter mode and book it back to the ship. And inform Space Judau about the Government forces on his doorstep. Don't think he'll like that.
>>
>>47654025
Play up to Jesus's "honor" and empathy and challenge him to a one on one fight and while thats happening have Siren take Clemmy and her mechs and get the ship ready to pick us up and gate as soon as possible
>>
>>47654025
Head towards the colony. At the very least, that should force Jesus into close range.
>>
>>47654086
We gated in something like 15 minutes ago, though.
>>
>>47654025
have the harpies pull to safety, archen engages shadows, use clemmy as a shield and press forward. he's known to disable mechs and keep pirates alive so we need to use it to our advantage.
>>
>>47653808
Nope, Wong mentioned it being out of reach atm.
>>
>>47654025
What is the angel between him and the colony? If we can get behind the colony out of sight, we can try and move close to disable him or play hide and seek long enough to get the two out. REMEMBER, our mission is to get the Professor and Athena to safety away from jesus and fairchild and we have 24 hours before we can jump.
>>
>>47654131
Dang. Reactive Shields, then. Are they effected by cost multipliers, or just the frame and such?
>>
>>47654144
That why we should inform the colony defense forces. Scavvers probably don't like having the Government outside their colony.
>>
>>47654151
Everything other than Weight Efficiency (and Command Armor, under some circumstances) is affected by Cost Multipliers.
>>
I'll give you guys a few minutes to decide. After all, this is an important decision.
>>
>>47654144
angle not angel and to clarify, we do not want to be in the open with him. If he has to rearrange to get a better shot, we can use that to move closer and possibly disable him. If I were to guess, his head likely has a ton of targeting components and sensors in it.

>>47654173
We can do that once we are not in his line of sight. Find something solid and strudy to hide behind then do the call/movement. Force him to realign himself since it would take longer for him to get a proper angle at that range.
>>
Maybe have Siren take on Jesus since she has the clones and is more long ranged while we take on the other person
>>
>>47654205
If your multiplier is 0.27, what do you multiply by? 1.27? Or 0.27, and add that to your score?

>>47654235
>1.27? Or 0.27, and add that to your score?
Isn't that basically the same thing?

But yes, you multiply your total CP from additive systems by (one plus additional cost multipliers). So, 1.27 in this case.
>>
>>47654232
Don't we have no idea what his sensors are like and if has things that allow him to bullshit through the images. Assume is accuracy is crazy high right now and move for heavy cover if there is anything. That range is WAY too far to safely cross like that and I do not want to charge directly at the sniper specialist.
>>
>>47654280
>>47654236
on that note, can clemmy give us the enemy stats?
>>
>>47654232
Her maximum range is 6.05 kilometers, and she'd be firing at a -4 penalty even if she manages to survive the 6 turns she'll need to close in to that distance.

Meanwhile, I assume Jesus has a long-range gun capable of firing at up to 9.8 kilometers with reasonably high accuracy.

We do need to draw him in, otherwise he can just repeatedly shoot at us from afar while we try in vain to close in.
>>
>>47654352
Lets take a page from Clemmy's book and use her plan to deal with Siren by hiding in the colony so has to get closer then when he's in our range we harpoon him
>>
>>47654236

"Rosita, could you...calmly...send your Harpies back to the ship? Have them fly ahead of us, and in exactly..." You check your instruments, eyeballing LoS from the placidly hovering mech, "Three hundred and fifty meters, when we pass by that junk hauler, abruptly reverse and arrow straight to the colony by the most traffic-dense route you can."

...Wait a second, what was that Red was saying about heat trails?

You reach the freighter, you turn, you kick off...and between you and the colony, you see a silhouette in infrared perched on top of another junker. A huge, hulking shape with a pair of horns, vanishing as it scuttles around to the other side of the freighter, which is slowly but inexorably traveling towards you.

Behind you, two bursts of plasma streak an almost impossibly long distance through space. A Harpy's left wing explodes, leaving it lagging behind its sisters. Worse still, it's carrying the Clemmy-severed head of one of the Harpies that had the misfortune of getting in her way earlier. The second beam misses by a hair, as Red Siren's admittedly acrobatic backup dancers swirl out into an evasive formation.

Several things happen at once. You juke your way around two more bolts of plasma that miss you by a safe margin.

Red Siren, moving faster than you and surrounded by her afterimages, zips by the junker with the concealed enemy.

Something abruptly loses its cloak as its face-shaped pauldrons lift up and fire a single missile each. It's huge, bigger than the Knuckle Kaiser, a steely silver aside from the moss-green trim adorning its plated armor. Its face is much like the Knuckle Kaiser's without the sensor mask, only in place of a manic grin its sculpted silver visage is set in an expression of utmost calm with just the hint of a smile.

One of those missiles she avoids completely, the other streaks through and disrupts an afterimage.

And you put your foot into its chest and kick it off the junker as you streak past with Clemmy in your arms and your thrusters inverted, sending it tumbling off the ship. (Ablating its torso armor by 1 and dealing 2K to the torso beneath)

Thrusters & Speed: 7 per leg, 8 in the torso, moves 400 meters per turn in flight or can run 150m. 22 CP

Cloaking Systems: This mech has the ability to cloak itself to avoid notice. When actively cloaked, it cannot be seen or detected by a mech's systems or the naked eye. However, unlike the more advanced cloaking systems of the S-Betta it still shows up to enemies with an ASP or Spotting Radar. Those unfortunate enough not to possess either of those sensory systems within 200m must roll Awareness at a DC of 25 to spot it, those within 200m must roll against DC 20. If spotted, it can hide again at the cost of an Action. Attacking automatically breaks the cloaking, and it cannot cloak again until the first Action of its next turn. Mechanically, this is a combination of the Active Cloak and Combat Cloak systems, and costs 0.5 of the mech's total cost before applying Weight Efficiency
Total Weight: 72.5 tons before 6 CP of Weight Efficiency to reduce it to 69.5 tons
Total Cost: 360 CP

"WELL WELL, ROARKE STARWIND! I see you're still an instinctively violent assh-HEY! Where are you going!?"

Your opponent, who had activated the plasma-cutter edges on its long, sharp shields, waves them at you furiously. It lunges for you, but your thrusters are more powerful than his, and as the shields slash across the S-Slayer's body in a scissor cut they avoid Clemmy's cockpit by only a few meters.

Of the two plasma bolts that rocket through space as you expose yourself, one of them isn't so kind, hitting your right arm and spinning you around as you whirl drunkenly towards the colony below. Expecting a volley of missiles, you fold your arms and your greatshields tightly around what's left of the S-Flowerhorn. Your right arm is reacting more slowly than usual, bent and sparking from where the beam creased it.

(The shot to your right arm does 12K base, meaning it reduces your Armor SP to 6 and does 5 Kills to that limb)

"ROARKE!" Red Siren halts her flight abruptly, she's far ahead of you by now, turning around and firing twin beams of indigo light.

The S-Slayer is knocked back, long scrawls traced across its right leg up through its torso and into its head. Its armor is tattered and that impassive facemask is scarred, but it doesn't seem too badly damaged even though it can't keep up with either of you. The plasma beams flash again, Red Siren dodging one and losing a second shadow to the other.

Four hundred meters to go, you're almost back at the Colony.

One more push.

Not the best idea right now until we can get Clemmy on the ship. Our goal is not to beat the enemy. Simply escaping them and getting back to safety should be our objective. We have to many civilians and incapacitated fighters to risk a confrontation, ESPECIALLY with how Mask fights. We disable, we board the ship, we book it back to the auditorium. There is no point in fighting the pair when that Slayer is slower than us. There is also something we have to consider; how many slayers are there?

You zip out from behind cover, ignoring the loud complaints from the junker's owner over the comms as stilettos of plasma zip through the air and sprang off the junker's armor and the load of damaged construction mecha it's hauling. You zip away before the idiot hits an active microfusion reactor, shields in tight around the S-Flowerhorn. You can hear Clemmy's heavy breathing over the comms, and Rosita is humming her newest song distractedly to herself as you arrow down towards the colony and vanish into a ductwork canyon. You barely manage to dodge a forest of pipes before latching your grappling harpoon around one and swinging to a stop. The S-Slayer pursues you almost to the edge of the canyon, then slows, the wing-shaped pauldrons around its waist concealing its belt of thrusters lifting up as it coasts to a halt.

It swings its plasma shields around in frustration. You don't know what it's thinking, but you know what would be going through your mind. Two opponents, down in a hole, one of them impervious to your missiles and the other with a ranged weapon. It's just not a safe bet to follow in a damaged mech. You wouldn't gamble on it, and especially not if you'd lost your last encounter with the handsome pirate Admiral laying in wait behind the vents and pipes.

Your comms crackle to life. Imperious, slightly overdramatic life.

Right, you're the one who didn't have the balls to engage me and almost shot his commanding officer, aren't you? Lucky you didn't make that mistake this time. If your Corporal hadn't been so cute, I probably would have torn the limbs off your mech too." That's not an idle threat, not one bit. You keep your voice deceptively friendly, the way that a stoat's eyes are always friendly as it merrily dances its way up to a rabbit before tearing open its throat, "And it's an impressive speech! You've grown up a little! How many hours did it take to practice it? Did your girlfriend help?"

A rocket from the S-Slayer explodes off the ductwork.

"I have a bounty computer, Captain Starwind, I don't need to memorize any-"

"Admiral." You cut him off with a growl, "Admiral Roarke Starwind. That's a real title earned through real battles. You defeated a pirate crew? That's great. I've caused the destruction of the entire Green Skulls pirate fleet. You won some sims? I've won a WAR. The only one left had a mech suspiciously identical to your friend there, maybe you ought to be asking him some very sharp questions instead of me. Go ahead, Rosita already softened him up for you."

"More importantly, when did I get prostitution? That's a new one, are you sure you're looking at the right screen?" You step in. It's your time to gloat, after all.

Red Siren fires a few shots up the length of the canyon at the S-Slayer, but it has too much cover and the back-and-forth is mostly symbolic.

You can't get visuals on Keith's mech at this point, but you can see on your sensors that it's moving about forty meters per second (400 per turn, essentially, since a turn is ten seconds) around to get the best angle on the canyon. That's fine, you're still confident in your cover. As someone whose entire career as a pilot has been spent getting your enemies into close combat, you've had to hide from units with reach and big guns before. Of course, this is on a completely different level than even Miles' sniping railgun. You'll have to see if you can steal this one for her at some point.

The kid's voice assumes a waspishly judgmental tone, "Obviously. You're selling your body, essentially, to acquire goods or services from Lieutenant Farragut." His voice becomes genuinely angry, "How could you, Starwind? Haven't you tried to understand her feelings for you at all!? I've heard about them at length! She loves you and wants you to do the right thing, turn yourself in, and use your admittedly considerable talents for good instead of evil. Now, obviously that's unrealistic, you're going to have to go to prison or be rehabilitated with drugs and therapy or...or something, but it's the right thing to do! Don't you have any shame about using her at all!? Maybe if you returned her love honestly, none of this would have had to happen! Think about how many people would still be alive, how much damage could have been averted!"

"What can I say? I'm a bad, bad man, who is going to do horrific things to that ass. Probably while it's still in uniform! It's a tradition, you know, plundering booty." You laugh at him a little to ease your actual annoyance, "Clemmy isn't anyone's puppet, nor are my affections for her dishonest. She's a good girl, doing something more heroic than you could possibly imagine."

You receive a vidcomm request from Clemmy. You hope that she isn't doing anything lewd in case there's a crack in her cockpit hull. Instead, she smiles at you from behind the visor of her helmet, her face surrounded by a fringe of her golden hair. She holds up her PC, open to a basic 'fingerpaint' program. She scrawls on the pale yellow holofield, red light following after her finger, then taps the edge of the screen to spin it around.

You read off of it and snicker.

"Of course, not all of us can be...is this really true?" You're trying to talk to the Ensign, but you have to question Clemmy. She nods cheerfully. "Not all of us can be like a fine sword whose edge is undimmed no matter how many foes it hews down." You can't help laughing. There's no way his girlfriend actually calls him that.

You hear a strangled sound like steam escaping from a teakettle over the comms.

Somewhere Caesar feels inexplicably smug.

A barrage of plasma bolts and rockets strikes the pipework. Metal rattles and pieces of shapnel are blasted out of the superstructure, although colonies are much too heavily armored for it to be seriously damaging.

"In all seriousness, how dare you doubt my feelings for one of my special girls? I care for her as much as she does for me. Your squad doesn't deserve her. Besides, how could anyone expect me to be on a team with you or you?" The S-Slayer, starting to actually crawl down into the canyon, is driven back as your magnetic grappling harpoon snaps on space at maximum length just a few meters from its face. It jets backwards, taking cover once again.

You mean like the Skulls? Yeah, real shame what happened to those guys. Hell, if I had done the right thing, Galbade would still be cruising through space, turning innocent women into hand puppets! Oh if I had just seen the error of my ways sooner!

You don't let up, verbally pummeling him, "You should really have learned from SOUL A, at least they know how to negotiate...and they'll probably be coming back with medals. They're heroes now, haven't you heard? Or has the news been a little slow lately? Tell me, what does it feel like, knowing that you were basically keeping a seat in SOUL warm for either Rudolph Merrow's son or me?"

"I'LL KILL YOU FOR INSULTING LYSA! And for deceiving the Lieutenant with her poison! She may be insane, but she's part of this squad...and I understand that she's special to the General. How can you be so selfish!?" Plasma bolts roar down from the sky, casting eerie shadows through the canyon and leaving slag along the walls.

"Keep it together." The S-Slayer growls suddenly, seeming rather subdued in the chill of this standoff, "She engaged the enemy alone, she deserves to be booted out of SOUL B for that by itself. We're a team, remember? A close-combat mech with zero ranged support had no business in that kind of fight. Ideally both of us would be peppering Red Siren full of holes while she locked it in place and finished it off. It doesn't matter if you have the strongest mech if you can't use it in the most ideal circumstances. Remember your training."

"Yes, scream more platitudes you're not actually following. Even now, you're just angling for a better shot, right?" Abruptly, you remember something, "...You know that colony thing is bullshit, don't you? A pair of medium cruisers couldn't shred colony hull. Maybe burn through it in spots if they were heavily armed enough, but not blast it to pieces. Now that I think about it, if I had turned myself in...wouldn't the Green Skulls be there? I heard from two of their aces, shortly before I killed them, that they had abandoned the colony's farms and forced everyone to work in the mines. You know why, right? Because they wouldn't need the food supply for long and could eat the stores."

"It's because when they were done, they weren't going to leave anyone there alive. Of course, maybe you don't know what Galbadie was doing to the women he captured...but he does. I recognize his mech, I tore the last one apart myself...and this time, I'm going to be more thorough." Oh yes, that's right, you need some answers.

"Hey, S-Slayer." You jab your damaged arm out from around the massive conduit you're using as a shield, "What happened to my older brother?"

Keith just has to interrupt, though, "Cassius Cosimo Cavalier Starwind used poison to disable an officer of the UJCIDF, stole her identity card, used it to free two individuals under UJCIDF custodial protective care, and nonlethally disabled half a dozen MPs using the butt of a service revolver. He hijacked an impounded junk scow using an active fusion core and his pistol, then stayed behind with his gun drawn to ensure the technicians kept the bay open long enough for the vessel to escape. He must have planned this in advance, since he repaired their microgate projector between shifts in the mechbay, so no court would rule it was a crime of passion. Anyway, in self-defense..."

This time, the S-Slayer's oddly distorted voice answers, "No, let me tell him. Last time I tried, Roarke wasn't nearly so well-mannered. I was just returning from California Station, I had a few reasons to stay late and missed the Jaburo back...ah, this is nice, isn't it? Pleasant conversation. So, I had to take a transport to Jupiter and see the Iulia Maesa for myself. Such a beauty. Anyway, Roarke, I was a bit stiff and decided that I'd handle this myself, since Lieutenant Farragut was still unconscious...so what the hell, right? It's just a gun, after all. Anyway, he saw my face, I think that's why he hesitated, and it was long enough to throw a knife into his throat. It doesn't matter how tough a person is, a poisoned knife is dead. He winged one of the technicians, but that's just how life is, right?"

..Say Wong, do we still have the audio logs with the first mate and the logs of how he contacted us just a few moments ago? Play the logs to Clemmy first quietly, as if we are muling it over. Use text if needed to explain.

If we do have those audio files, then; "Hmmmm, out of sorts eh? Odd coming from the guy who was mad that his hair wasn't that good. But no worries, I always keep logs of my fights. Good for publicity and improving myself once the fights done. So tell me, is this(clip from our fight) similar to this(clip from a few moments ago)?

What have I unleashed?

Granted, at this point, upgrades-wise, doing cool things and getting fanart is getting you closer to a big mid-season upgrade, after which your main CP concerns will be the major systems you want to add (and Weight Efficiency, which costs as much as a major system)

Otherwise your picture would be worth CP. Instead, it just brings the day of the upgrade closer!
>>
Man shit really kicks off when you miss most of a thread doesnt it?
>>
>>47658143

You mean from when you fought the First Mate on Auditorium?
>>
>>47658156
Yes, that. Sort of confession you would keep close at hand, especially considering how we want him deader than dead.
>>
>>47658164

You have an ASP, and you've been habitually recording fights for Clemmy. Grab whatever text from that fight you want to play back and we can make it happen.
>>
>>47658192
>"You're not Roarke fucking Starwind!" The First Mate's mech, locating you through the spherical sensor on its chest, points at you with its remaining hand, "I already ended one of the Starwind brothers when he held me off from shooting down the junk scow carrying away that stupid scientist and his brat! If he hadn't had someone helping him, I would have got them all! I'll find out who! I'll find them, and I'll kill them, and with the data from this fight, I'LL KILL YOU TOO!"

That can serve as the main confession. Really, with the tone he had and the sample he just gave us, it should be a match and even if you went with generic voices, there is a limit. Still, he might try to silence it, so get a quiet version to Clemmy first.

Not only that, but there was the fact the green skull captain was expecting the damage to be more than what it was on the Jaburo. A cloaked bomber, causing damage all over.. seems similar to someone who attacked the Kestrel's and mortally wounded our captain. Even the schematics match up with the Slayer.. isn't that right, First Mate of the Green Skulls?

Bet he did not expect us to keep recordings.

>>47658089
>Clemmy, I'm going to have to kill your teammate now. Thats not a problem, right?
>>
>>47658289
And when I think about it, his fighting style would be similar as well wouldn't it? Even if it's the same mech, it would be handled differently due to the person itself and the connections. So if their fighting style is the exact same, which so far looks like it, then chances are it's the same person. Especially considering that unique pod.

"Not quite." You play back a segment of the logs from your ASP.

"I already ended one of the Starwind brothers when he held me off from shooting down the junk scow carrying away that stupid scientist and his brat! If he hadn't had someone helping him, I would have got them all! I'll find out who! I'll find them, and I'll kill them, and with the data from this fight, I'LL KILL YOU TOO!" The recorded voice echoes.

The S-Slayer chuckles, "I guess everyone's voice sounds different when recorded. True, I was going to shoot them down. I had to. Their existence was now a malus upon the common good."

"That...that didn't have to...you should have consulted me." You almost expect to see plasma bolts rain on the S-Slayer. It's what you're hoping for, it's what you're aiming at.

"Yeah, you're a wonderful hero, Keith, working with this one." You comment sarcastically. "He's a pirate, First Mate of the Green Skulls."

...And with that, the pilot of the S-Slayer starts laughing hysterically.

You know, I'm starting to think this guy is not just the First mate...
>>
>>47658433
Probably. Got a feeling he is someone a lot more dangerous. Might very well be a combat AI made with a brain scan OF the first mate. Hence the armored pods. Nice bit of stolen greenman tech, reused, refurbished, then sent with someone who got it.

The guy is way too old to be so spry if he was in the wars. He'd be a old man, not some childish nutter. If he did die in that duel, and his machine still had the ai, then it may be the reason why fairchild grew so fast in power.

Uh didn't the fat blob of a human say ALL of the people on board his ship were under his control?
>>
>>47658433

Whoever he is he's a green skull, that means death, preferably the most humiliating death we can devise.

I'll settle for just crushing him slowly in knuckle kaiser's hands though, I want to hear him scream before he dies.
>>
>>47658477
All the crew and bridge people. It's one thing for crew, but officers and pilots would be moving way too much and likely out of range of his ship to do so. It wouldn't explain their actions after the ship exploded either. If they were puppets, their cut strings would have left them motionless, not fleeing.
