Tabby was able to say her farewells and was able to discover something exciting: her brother whom she hadn't seen in years was alive! You're unsure of where he could be, but there are only so many places he could be right now.Later you had a chat with Kakei about the trade situation in Ao as well as the murder victim. Things got a little heated for a time, but nothing a little diplomacy couldn't fix. He also warned you to avoid any dealings with the local triad, citing that they are dangerous and untrustworthy.Welcome back to Beast in the Sky Quest!
You have, counting the rest of today, two days left before work is done on the Vapor Cannon and three left on the commons room. You still haven't solved the murder, Tabby is still working on her "condition" and recently you learned that the government has mentioned your theft, though with very little elaboration. It's around early afternoon, all your crew are aboard doing their own thing and you've got time to kill. What would you like to do?
>>47583028I can't remember what we were doing.Do we still have to stick around, or can we go? If we do, I guess we can do those flight lessons.
>>47583137You had just finished speaking to Kakei about trade, the murder and Neil/the triad. You can go where you please, but it'll be two more days before the Beast is done being worked on, so it'll have to stay in the city for now. Also, your hangar hasn't been set up to launch your planes yet.
>>47583165Look around the town for traders who might be willing to set up shop on board the beast.
>>47583165But we can still get training, which I told you before. Go to the people selling the civilian models, they should be able to direct us to teachers. We don't exactly need dogfighting training yet when we're still concerned about our "pilots" taking off and landing without breaking anything.

You head down to the trade guild and local markets. Most of the time is spent schmoozing, chatting and just generally getting to know the local traders. Most seem rather uninteresting, but still amiable enough. However, after some time of getting chummy with a few, you discover a distinct wanderlust. They want to go outside Ao, but haven't the means to. A few hints here, prodding questions there and before long you have a small group of traders willing to join your crew for a small cut of their profits, but they cannot open up shop aboard your ship until you've completed your commerce deck. (Would require 2 days to set up.)[+15 crew][+3,000G/week once commerce deck is completed]Afterward, you make your way to the air ship rental places and get to work once more. You peruse shops, investigate some different models and manage to find a few different piloting teachers. They're not cheap, but they're the best you'll get in the area. You avoid discussing any kind of fighters or dogfighting to avoid suspicion, so the best you can do is standard "take off, fly, land" type stuff. It'll be 100G per person per week if you'd like to accept the lessons.>Accept (write in number of people you'd like to train)>Decline

You head down to the trade guild to do a little crime solving of your own. The usual business is everywhere, the death doing little to stop people from making money. In fact, the mood generally seems to be pretty positive. You see people laughing, eating and drinking together, discussing work and gossip and just generally being the average trade guild. You see the same places you did before, though news of the new Class A has made the rounds and you see a lot of people staring at you. Some are looking down on you as the new guy, some look at you with awe, some with jealousy and some still with plain contempt. One of the Class A's, an older man with a well-trimmed beard and rather dashing and lightly armored suit. He has no guards or retinue beyond a driver and some muscle to lift heavy bags and boxes. He's waving at you in a friendly fashion. You also see the Blue Wings, who glance over to you, then chatter among themselves rapidly, occasionally looking over to you.>Greet the man>Greet the Blue Wings>Head inside the guild to ask the desk in person>Other (write in)

You approach the man, who gives you a warm smile and offers a calloused hand to shake."You're that new blood, right?" he says in a rich, deep voice, "Isaac something-or-other. Daniels. Josef Daniels. Most people just call me Joe. Welcome to the club."His handshake is firm and a little too tight. He's older, but his strength is damn impressive. Judging by his clothes, some scars and the fact that the glances you get of his personal affects make you realize that he's got more guns than your ship does gives you the feeling he's more of the adventurous types you were told of."I trade primarily in rare meat, pelts and the occasional live animal. How about you, young man? What brings you here? You throwing your hat into the ring to nab Augusta's trade routes too?"What do you tell him?
>>47584746"If its up for the taking, I don't see a reason not to take a slice of the pie. "If its up for the taking, I don't see a reason not to take a slice of the pie." you say, lightly shaking your now throbbing hand, "It's business after all and I've yet to establish any routes or particular specialties.Mainly though, I'm here to try and solve the case of her murder. Hardly good for business and trade in this city if traders are getting murdered so easily."Joe laughs heartily, slapping you on the shoulder. "Honest. I like that in a man! And a bit of selflessness, to boot. Well, don't expect to get too terribly far with the guild in regards to her contracts. She had a lot of very profitable routes. Nothing I'd give a damn about, though. Too safe and simple. I'm a man of action, Isaac. If I'm not fighting off wild panthers with the bones of a wyvern I killed myself, what's the point? Action! That's where a man proves himself, son!" he lets out another hearty laugh. His small entourage of assistants all sigh and groan as they clean his firearm collection and stuff more bags into the back of his caravan. "As for this murder business..."Roll 1d100 for information. Joe gets a serious look on his face for a moment and brings you in close, tightly gripping your arm while he speaks in a hushed tone. "Don't trust a damn one of these bastards. Every last one of them is out to fill their own pockets and will do whatever it takes to do so. There have been more than a few 'instances' in the past that have been swept under the rug by bribes, threats or just people pretending they didn't see anything. The guild knows about it, son, oh believe you me, but they don't care. Only reason this came to light was because it ate into their profits." Joe jabs you in the chest with a thick index finger painfully. "Mark my words, son, this was someone in the guild. Someone wanted a piece and they found the best way to get what you want. Take it. My advice? Get the hell out and just focus on your own work or you'll be the next body they find."He's uncomfortably close, you notice. He was steadily getting closer throughout his whole speech, in fact. You also notice that there's a gun pressed against your stomach. He looks you dead in the eye and holsters it."And it'd be real easy for someone to do it, too. Trust. No one." he taps the side of his nose and winks, the serious look never leaving his grizzled face. With that, he releases you, waving to you as he jumps into his motorized caravan. It rumbles to life and begins to move. "Good luck, Isaac, my boy! Keep your nose clean and don't spend too much time in the red light district, you hear!?"And with another bellowing guffaw he and his group takes off down the streets, the other members shaking their heads and muttering unpleasant things once he's out of earshot.Well, that was...informative?What next?>Speak to the Blue Wings>Check inside about the contracts>Other (write in)

Eddie says, fluttering her eyes a bit more than one normally would. "How are you?""That guy you were talking to," Ed speaks up, "that was Crazy Joe. Most people ignore him. He's a nut, but the dude's crazy dangerous when he wants to be. I heard he strangled an entire species of boar to death."Rufus rolls his eyes. "Not this shit again, Ed. He's just a guy. He's a loony, but he's not some unstoppable badass like everyone thinks he is.""Anyway, how can we help you, Isaac?" Eddie says, leaning over to show a little bit too much cleavage."Yeah, man, what's going on? What's it like being a Class A?" Ed says, patting you on the shoulder and smiling a little too wide for your liking. "Any cool adventures yet? We'd love to hear! Have you eaten? Ed shifts in his seat, drumming his fingers on his legs rapidly, "I mean...that kind of stuff usually happens in the slums and stuff...not uh...not here..."Rufus remains reticent, absentmindedly scratching behind his head."Things...this isn't normal." Eddie says after a short silence, "So, uhm, no, it doesn't happen a lot...can...can we talk about something else? Please?""Alright..." you say, a little confused, "What about you guys? What's your big plan here? What do you hope to do in the world of trading?"Almost instantly the mood changes back to the upbeat, pleasant one it was just a minute ago."Oh, well!" Eddie says, once again dipping forward to show off her decolletage, "We're just small time now, but we certainly wouldn't mind some tips on how to get ahead from pros like yourself, Isaac!""We want to become a sort of postal service that operates outside of the government. Not...uh, like...illegal stuff, I mean. Like, a service you can use without having to pay the heavy fees the normal post has while maintaining the reliability and speed they have. Plenty of people have tried, sure, but they usually end up getting bought out or just destroyed by...uh...well, all the dangers going on out there."Rufus frowns at this. "It's tough, but we don't really want help with that kinda thing. It'd be better to not be in debt with anyone, yeah?"The others shoot him nasty looks."You guys know anything about Huetis?" you ask, "Anyone have any trade routes with them?"They shake their heads. "No, not many people are permitted into the city anymore. Something happened and they just kinda...cut off most outside contact." Eddie says.(Cont)
"Last I heard they only allow official government representatives in every so often. Most people are just turned away at the door. Dunno why." she shrugs."I heard it was some kinda coup and the whole place was overthrown by someone." Rufus says, "Weird lot, the undead."
