You blink for a moment, a slight headache coming. It's almost like the whole world just... flickers. But your Scouter's signal doesn't change. Leon, or at least what you assume is it's strength, is easily over a million now. And most strange of all it doesn't seem to be approaching you. It's... circling the spaceport. Rather fast, but there's a clear pattern to its movements. "Is there anything else you can tell me about this thing?"

"It somehow woke up and just started attacking people left and right." Custad explains, exiting the building. He looks at your ship curiously, rubbing his head. "A little... small, that thing. Can barely fit all of us in it."

You give him a slightly annoyed look, but don't make an issue of that comment. "It's a rental. But, attacking how? What exactly does it do?"

"Its body seems immune to blasters." he states, pointing to his gun. "And our best warriors could injure it, but the injuries were minor and seemed to somehow heal up just as quickly as damage was done. None of our Scouters could detect what kind of strength it has. It would strike at people with its giant jaws and seemed to be able to modify its body slightly, fangs and claws growing larger on demand."

Machines that... can rapidly heal? Well that's sounding... uncomfortably familiar. You both arrive in what Custad states is the communications area, and it certainly looks the part. You can sense someone nearby... aha, there she is, hiding in a... trash can?

A flash comes to your mind. Goku, seems like he's on another planet, and he's talking with someone in PTO armor. Looks like a humanoid with black hair, Scouter, a... tail?! "Wait, you're that Vegeta guy's-?!"

A loud roar snaps you out of this. Custad and Mousseline are running in a panic towards your ship. They're not very fast, certainly not as fast as you... but your Scouter is telling you Leon is closing in on you, quickly.

I've been playing Som's dragonball quest.

I asked him "What are you going to do to prevent the problems of your last quests, namely that we ride the exponentials to overpowered town"

He said "You will have to train your ass off to stay relevant" and has implied that we might end up as this setting's Yamcha.

Which would be ok, except we have the Kamehameha before we've even met Tien or Muten Roshi, and we were given the option to kill Goku (which we did not use).

I'd say we're on track for SOM Station.

In other news one of the wooden sideboards in my bed has broken and I will need to go to Bunnings today to buy some square brackets, big screws, wood glue, and probably also a tool that can drive the big screws.

There has been one person samefagging to waifu everything that moves. Thus far this has included Poca, Mai, and Bulma.
Other players seem to have not waifu'd anything.

Players expressed some initial interest in not being the Generic Goodguy Hero and a desire to play a character who has flaws that prevent him from being totally good, or his own motivations that line up mostly with being good but veer off sometimes.
While this was going on, the Nimbus only partially accepted us as a rider, as we hadn't decided if we're pure or heart or not.

We promptly threw that in the bin and are now the most Generic Goodguy Questcomplete-Savethevillagers as possible.

Personally I'd have liked to have killed Goku. Just because good lord would that throw multiple wrenches into Dragonball and give our character some baggage (thus making him into less of an empty vessel to be filled with Generic Protagonist Juice). But such is life.

The whole world seems to darken, clouds filling the sky as the "spaceport" you were on turns out to be just a large mountainous. The two blue figures change into red, crab-like aliens, the two of them on their knees, ready to beg. "Please, we're sorry, but you're the only ship that's come by in over a year, we had to make you notice us somehow! And we need to get off this planet before that thing kills us!"

As much as the planet seemed to be an illusion, Leon clearly wasn't. In fact, your Scouter finally gives you a clear answer on how strong it is. Power Level of 2 million. And the fluctuation you were given turns out to be... several large mollusk-like monsters, engaged in battle with it. The robot lion is treating them like the seafood buffet they are.

Chiaotzu looks at you and shrugs. "I mean... it'd be cruel to just leave them here."

It... is genuinely confused by the reaction you give it, not sure why you're so calm. It clearly seems to expect you to be like Zaacro and Raiti, cowering in terror. It snaps out of the confusion and prepares to attack, but you hop in your ship and take off before it can reach you. A disgruntled roar directed at you seems to accompany a... shaking of the monster's paw in anger.

It'll be a little while before you reach the next inhabited planet, could get some rest with the suspended animation thing, or could spend some time trying to practice telepathy blocking with Chiaotzu. It's far too cramped to do anything else.

With a slight stretch and a yawn, you look around the terminal area. Really could use a break and some time to get some fresh air. You also notice some people walking around outside in strange but matching outfits; vests, white pants with sashes, black boots. Some seem to have spiked, multicolored hair for some reason, while others have odd-looking balding tops with thick, full, and colorful long hair on the sides.

You look around for a brochure on the planet, then give it a quick look over. Apparently the planet hasn't been conquered by the PTO yet, and seems to be part of an independent system on its own, with relations between it and the Galactic Patrol, given the advertisement for them in a nearby brochure. Hah, they even have Jaco on it, with his little pose.

More interestingly, this planet is home to something rather unique, it seems. A special technique that allows two individuals to combine together into one, a process using a... rather strange dance, all things considered. It seems to require synchronized movements and similar levels of strength and build. Interesting...

"Chiaotzu, I'm gonna check on one of the locals, see what this technique is all about. What're you gonna do?"

"I'd like to get myself some food, to be honest. I'll find you in a couple hours."

He waves to you as he heads off, you yourself getting to a balcony and taking flight. Looking around, you spot a couple workers performing the dance in order to lift a heavier load by hand. Nearby seems to be a sort of beginner's school for it, with some people who are definitely not natives heading in. You yourself are stopped by someone at the front.

"Name."

"Er... Maple Son-Mahogany. Sorry, kind of a tourist here, is an appointment required to head in?"

He nods. "Next available appointment is at 25:00."

You quickly look around for some sort of clock. You manage to catch the time on one of the shop corners. It's apparently... 16:00, their time. But it barely looks like noon. How long are days on this planet?

You make the appointment and head out for a while, keeping careful watch on your own clock in your Scouter and the time on the planet. Through some bizarre cosmic coincidence, it ticks at a similar rate. The difference is that while Earth has 24 hour days, Metamor seems to have 50 hour days. And you're far more used to Earth's rhythm. Might be a good idea to head off after you've learned what you can.

On your walk through the town, you notice mention of some things on the news. Seems that over in the PTO, what might have been a scheduled invasion of the planet was canceled not too long ago due to rebellions within the Empire. Forces that were noted to be gathering some distance away were being turned back home to deal with such rebellions. And such things can be traced to a mysterious individual calling themselves... "Number 18." None of Metamor's news stations have dared trying to identify such an individual, but are exceptionally glad that they've helped the planet stay under the radar of the notorious Cold family.

You spot Chiaotzu some distance away enjoying some of the local food, and tell him about your appointment. While it does interest him, he decides against joining you after being told he'll have to wait even longer, the appointment list fills up exceptionally fast. Hah, probably for good reason.

Finally, you're back waiting for the appointment. There's a crowd of individuals around, and you enter in with them all. Apparently this is a live demonstration.

"Then converge at two single points; the points collapse under the pressure and the two rivers flow into each other, becoming one."

"Such a charming little dance, isn't it?" a blue alien man with white hair who seems to be wearing a purple and black dress asks you with a soft chuckle.

"It helps to emphasize each step with a syllable." They repeat the process, this time trying for real. "Fuuuuu... sion! HA!"

A bright light blinds the room for a moment as the two beings have become one. He points at himself with a cocky smirk. "You can call me... Diamond! Any questions?"

Well, better to not ends up exploding yourself trying tricks. You instead shuffle out of the way and try to exercise a bit. Make use of that energy. You also keep your thoughts racing, seeing where your "Maple" side can help your "Alena" side, and vice-versa. You're... fused with a princess, of all things. A Tsarevna, at that. A human princess... not from your Earth. Ah, came with Kiryl in search of a thief. And... not completely sure how you ended up on this planet. You don't question it, you are here to help heroes! Aheh.

As your mind races, it seems your "Alena" part takes interest in how you manage Martial Arts and Magic so well with your "Maple" part. The exchange goes back and forth for several minutes, the Alena part giving your Maple part some of the things she's learned. Eventually you believe you might have given an Equivalent Exchange of sorts between your fusion components, Alena showing interest in trying something like the Spirit Star, while Maple has gotten some interesting ideas on weapons, especially something to help give the Spirit Stinger a bit more bite.

...also Kiryl, he totally has the hots for Alena. This much is obvious, da? But such things do not fill her mind with anything but... mild apathy. Especially when there is much to do for helping fellow heroes.

Suddenly it feels like time stands still, but a flash hits your eyes and... you're separate again! "Wh... what? How... wait, what did you do?"

"I helped you along. It turns out you need to wait an hour after unfusing in order to fuse once more."

"And who might you be, man who wears dress?" Alena grunts out with suspicion.

"Just a friendly soul enjoying his day off." the blue man responds, smiling and heading off.

You stare at your former fusee and shrug it off. Strange people out there in the universe. He didn't seem strong, but that was... different. You go your separate ways for a while, Chiaotzu running to you. "Maple, we have to leave soon!"

"W-why? We just got here, didn't we?"

There's panic in his eyes. "L-Lazuli... she's attracted the attention of... of... Lord Cooler!"

Oh Whis is enjoying himself. This actually was just more focused on looking up the Metamorian Fusion Dance, but since you happened to be around, he thought it'd be nice to give a little nudge, if needed. The nudge was Alena.

Also he does actually give the Supreme Kai of Time some advance warning for things like that. He likes her, thinks she does a good job given all the stuff she needs to deal with. But he isn't above doing some things to keep her on her toes.

Thought the romance was great and so is all the pairings so far. The fight scenes were really tense, and I was especially surprised when the Super Saiyan finally did happen.

Super Yamcha and Super Launch where shocking as well.

I definitely feel like Matchmaker Maple when given all these characters though. But the children are like 4 or 2 years old right now.
