Welcome back, to the fifteenth chapter of Mecha Space Pirate Quest!

As always, you are Admiral Roarke Susan Starwind of the Iron Kestrels space pirate fleet, master of the starship Rhinehawk, and pilot of the terrifyingly crit-prone Knuckle Kaiser.

Previous Threads: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Mecha+Space+Pirate+Quest%2C+Collective+Game%2C+mecha
Master Pastebin: http://pastebin.com/sSHs0QmF
Upgrade Menu: http://pastebin.com/QQQzkFZe
List of Moves: http://pastebin.com/HSdyCe2y
Rogues' Gallery: http://pastebin.com/E9ZcDLfG

The new pastebin contains the stats for non-Kaiser mecha you've met. It's somewhat incomplete right now, due to spending most of my focus on statting the Bluegill and (shockingly expensive) S-Betta.

Last time, you discovered the monster waiting for you on the mining asteroid of Suleiman 1, the UJCIDF prototype Tarrasque, confirmed with Samantha that something is rotten in SOUL Force, and had a conversation with Fatima that, for once, didn't leave you with a headache. You also sent the Master Harpy trio ahead with a dozen of the Iron Kestrels' Bluegills to secure the colony itself.

Today, you drive the Green Skulls off the colony completely, and straight into hell where they belong.
>>
>>47140268
Lets make sure that the team we send to clean the colony keeps a couple green skulls alive so we can find out where they stashed the mech
>>

31 KB JPG
A note on Bluegills. Yours, by the way, come from the Stone Soldiers, who programmed theirs to use several different weapons and armed them with the expanded thruster portfolio featured in the Bluegill Joe simgame, as a mark of their self-proclaimed elite status. UJCIDF Bluegills are slower, and almost always use a sword in place of the mace.

You may have noticed that Bluegills are both considerably sturdier and less expensive than Harpies, and might furthermore be wondering why pirates use Harpies at all. There are two main reasons.

First, the CP cost of a Harpy is what you would pay to build one from scratch. Pirates almost always convert their base Harpies from civilian Sparrows, and so pay only a fraction of that cost per Harpy as the Sparrow provides the jet transformation, thrusters, and the entire body.

Second, the Harpy has two minor defensive advantages. Firstly, it's faster in jet mode and can run away if it needs to. Second, and this is something your melee-focused main mech hasn't had to worry about, ranged attacks are not automatically called shots and instead strike a random location on the target when they hit. Bluegills have 6 locations, Harpies have 8 due to possessing wings. As a result, the damage a Harpy takes will be slightly more spread out...but in the end, a Bluegill ends up being sturdier.
>>
I also mildly buffed the S-Betta's electric pilebunkers from 4K to 6K, because 4K no AP is pathetic and I like the S-Betta. It's a ridiculously expensive machine, even by SOUL standards, but incredibly hard to detect when cloaked.

>>47140316

Acknowledged, Miles and Richard know to interrogate a few of them to find out about the Tarrasque...but you can't ask them to actually spare them. Once they're done, anyone who's a Green Skull is getting a bullet to the brainpan.
>>
So, you're retroactively getting the Advanced Sensor Package upgrade. Do you want anything else with it? Both the Target Analyzer and Sensor Range Advancement are good, solid choices.

Secondly, are you keeping the Morgan II and Warmouth frames you wrecked, or scrapping them for 14 more CP?
>>
>>47140546
Both.

And Keep them. They will be given to up and coming aces.
>>
>>47140546
Keep them and bring them to Karen see if she thinks anything is worth adding to our mech and if not we can give it to someone else
>>
>>47140546
How long would it take to get the Morgan II and Warmought repaired?
>>
>>47140546
I'd cautiously go for both, but I can't recall at the moment how much CP and space we have to spare.

Keeping both mechs would probably be a better investment. No sense in scrapping perfectly serviceable machines.
>>
>>47140476
Wasn't asking them to be spared vut make sure that we grab a couple of uniforms from them they could come in handy
>>
>>47140590

That depends on how much the Knuckle Kaiser and Bluegills get damaged in upcoming battles. By the way, the Osano-Wo is literally a Morgan II Custom, while the Archen is quite similar on paper aside from wildly different weapon loadout and special systems.

>>47140683

You will have plenty of those, fret not.

>>47140571

You're three points shy of affording the ASP and both of the other sensor upgrades. You have 17 points banked (since the consensus was to keep the Morgan II and Warmouth), getting all three would cost 20 CP.
>>
>>47140769
Lets just get the scanner then

Posting our mixtapes like always https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6iimHE85EZZWjJCLXRLem1mQ2s/view?usp=drivesdk
>>
>>47140769
ASP first then, since we already have full specs of the Tarrasque. Unless they've modified it while we weren't looking.
>>
>>47140546
>Target Analyzer
I feel it's it pulls it's weight more than sensor range. Especially if we can fit Miles with the extra ranger. We'll be able to prioritize servos on non-stock mechs (aka bosses). Last time we already saw how amazing that would be by destroying the Morgan's missile pods on accident.
>>
>>47140546
Range up is needed for better coordination.

Also, I just remembered that the skull brothers were talking about the captain looking for females if I recall. Likely to pilot the Tarrasque or for something. If we get a good disguise like a suit from a green skull we could likely sneak in with the Big Zam's 'proper' pilot.
>>
>>47140811
That should have been SRA, not ASP.
>>
>>47140803
Just realized there was a duplicate on that hears the real onehttps://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6iimHE85EZZdTkwcHVxT2ZxWXc/view?usp=drivesdk

>>47140830
We can bring Fatime since she was originally going to pilot it
>>
>>47140812

Things like this (and the fact that even Mega-Heavy Armor with SP 11 does NOT stop a 6K AP fist from doing at least 1 Kill of damage on its first hit) are why I almost suspect Roarke could solo everything.

That was a fantastically lucky series of rolls. Those weren't Missile Pods, by the way, which are a pack of 6K missiles. The Morgan 2 had three Fire-Linked Heavy Missiles like those the Bluegill can equip singly, with +2 WA and 12K damage.
>>
>>47140546
Target Analyzer. Just a question but can it see things like if a weapon is twin linked? Just an afterthough from the Osano-Wo fight.
>>
>>47140897
What makes you think we can trust her not to attack is with the Zam?
>>
Hm. Fairly divided on the sensors, I see.

http://www.strawpoll.me/10156423

Our old semi-reliable standby will give us the answer, surely.
>>
>>47140897
That was the idea. Either way we'll need to know the lay of the land and where they could store the thing as well.

Also, got a weird idea of Oda piloting the Knuckle Kaiser with the heavy flail to make it seem like we are on the field and far away from their operation. But yeah, should definetly keep the two mechs for some possible mech upgrades for our buddies. Give them more room to grow than their master harpies.
>>
>>47140935

I'll hesitantly say that yes, yes it can.
>>
>>47140954
>no option for neither
>no obligatory Magnetic Grapple Hook waifu option
Shit poll, dude.
>>
>>47140946
We make her swear on her honor and her faith that she wnt foght us or pull any funny business at the exchange and we'll let her have better quarters and more freedom to roam the ship plus we'll look better in her eyea if we save the ship she cares about
>>
As a side-note, Richard Thorslund is getting on my nerves with how irritating his Master Harpy is to stat. Missiles have weird rules in general, and the fact that as a secondary meleeist he should by rights have a handheld sword or mace backup to his plethora of rockets makes statting it a pain, but I'll get it done.

Mohammed's is easy because as long as he has a cannon and a sword he's set.
>>
>>47140998
How about we, or one of our crewmen, goes with her when she hijacks the Tarrasque, so if she tries to kill us, she can be threatened into compliance.

Also, before we give the Tarrasque back or something, how about we strip it of nearly all of its critical components so none of its defensive or offensive systems work? Leave nothing but propulsion, use those parts to upgrade our mechs, and we can sell the thing back for goodwill or dosh.
>>
>>47141038
Well, with the two mechs we got, it shouldn't be hard to put the missiles and stuff on his master harpy to the other one and having it's armor fitted with bits from whatever we can salvage.
>>
>>47141058
I just want its projector field. That shit is intense.
>>
>>47141058
I was thinking have us and the designer go with her, possible Karen too
>>
Or howsabout we wait for what our team learns first? Instead of risking them outside their mechs.
>>
>>47141094
Why would you put non combatants with her. She already said she knows her way around a mech. It would be safe to say she's got some basic combat training as well.
>>
>>47141094
Would probably be best to just have Roarke and Fatima. Roarke can sweet talk and we can use simple facts and the like to get pass people who can tell if we are lying.
>>
Wait, why exactly would we need to bring Fatima with us instead of any other female pilot?
>>
>>47141120
Thats why were having them interrogate the Green Skulls

>>47141123
The doctor and Karen are incase the Green Skulls did something to the mech that could lock us out
>>
>>47141154
Thats a big what if there and chances are they wouldn't want to mess with the machine too much. Besides, that opens up the issue of getting them out when things get heated or heavens forbid a hostage situation.

Do not throw civvies, especially our best specialists into the line of fire. If need be we could use the Betta to piggy back comms or something.
>>
>>47141058
>>47141093

You can copy its systems without directly ripping them off the Tarrasque, you know. I'm keeping the projector field in mind as a future upgrade, along with something special that was hinted at in a very early thread and has been brought up multiple times since.
>>
>>47140975
So can regular sensors pick up on non visual? Like if we LoS a mech by hiding it underground or behind a building. The target tracker would cut out?
>>
>>47141240
Cant wait till we can finally buy the punch fists and I even got the perfect name for them, the Polaris system
>>
By the way, a note about going to the asteroid with just one mech.

Your mechs, generally, have room for one pilot. They can fit a single passenger on their lap and take a penalty to all combat and piloting rolls, and maybe squeeze one or two more into the storage compartment (which is extremely uncomfortable and stuffy for anything more than a short jaunt). Battle mecha are not APCs, and not equipped to carry a party in any sort of comfort.

Pic related, not the S-Betta.

>>47141150

Why do you need a female pilot for the Tarrasque at all?
>>
>>47141240
Do we even have space aboard the Rhinehawk if wanna keep the Tarrasque?
>>
>>47141321
>Why do you need a female pilot for the Tarrasque at all?
Well, just about all our male pilots seem inexplicably melee-oriented.
>>
>>47141270

Yes. Regular sensors are primarily visual-based. Let's say the Master Harpy Longshadow and the Osano-Wo are playing a rousing game of paintball. To avoid Miles' sadistic streak and sniper cannon, Yoritomo hides behind a big rock. With standard sensors, Miles wouldn't be able to spot him unless she moved and got LoS back. HOWEVER, if the Knuckle Kaiser with its ASP was watching, it would see the heat trails from the Osano-Wo's sensors go behind the asteroid, and also detect Yoritomo's lifesigns and the big metal lump of the Osano-Wo.
>>
>>47141321
Then we better just go with Us and Fatima

As for the female pilot I think people just got confused about whh we wanted to take Fatima

>>
>>47141380

It may be because I've mentioned Galbadie collecting girls with good HMIS compatibility repeatedly, and they're assuming that it's because he uses them as pilots. However, all of the Green Skulls' pilots you've encountered and heard the voices of so far have been male.
>>
>>47141380
But why even take her at all?
>>
>>47141417
Because she's familiar with the Tarrasque and can help take over it?
>>
>>47141417
Win browny points with her so she will either betray her fiance when he double crosses us or at least talk him down, plus she is an and can do damage to the greenskulls while the rest of our aces are fighting
>>
>>47141380
But why DO we need Fatima? Override codes aren't locked to her yet, since she hasn't been in it yet; and since she hasn't been in it yet, she won't be able to pilot it much better than any other notable pilot in our crew.

Unless you're trying to do it as a gesture of goodwill to get on her good side? In which case why not simply bribe her with the chance to get her hands on it and go wild on the Green Skulls that tried to take it from her, on the condition that she swears to leave it in our care after until such time as the exchange takes place - noting, as we do, that even with the mech, she wouldn't be able to leave the colony without an actual ship anyway?
>>
>>47141450
>>47141453

>>47141480

Said what I was going to.
>>
>>47141375
That make the Big Bomb The Big Zam plan viable then.

Make some noise in the colony where we have buildings. S-Betta gets a bomb from Karen or a harpy fusion core. Use it's stealth to place beside the Zam. Explode it and destroy the projector field in the process. Hopefully damage some of it's armour. Osano-Wo and Knuckle Kaiser come out from underground subway OR from roof of buildings. Hopefully we get initiative as the crew inside the Zam is disoriented from such a close range explosion. Use called melee shots to focus down the head. All the while S-Betta cloaks away and runs away to lose LoS. We can pump out 12 (8 punch, 4 sword) melee for every 2 shots the Zam has. That's enough to get rid of it's Head + Particle accelerator.

Not only are do we have amazing dodge chance but we can also parry twice the particle accelerator twice. It can't aim it's shot so we have a 1/6 chance to get hit in torso. Even then Osano-Wo and Kunckle Kaiser have enough time to LoS.

Some hours after sending out the Master Harpy Trio with a dozen Bluegills, you receive a call from the station. You've gathered the Cohens, Doctor Duncan Clancy, Avi, and Samantha in the mess hall for a strategy meeting, and also sent word to have Fatima brought out of her cell and escorted here. You've given explicit instructions to be polite, but firm with her, and under no circumstances to let her grab anyone's gun and go on a rampage.

Miles' cheeky voice resounds from your PC, "Not a single casualty, boss! You should've seen me! I'm unstoppable in this thing, a goddess of war! A! FUCKING! GODDESS~!" She whoops obnoxiously, several times, "There were a dozen of them, wonderful odds~"

Avi interrupts Miles' cackling, "Um, Admiral, I was on the radar earlier and I found that cruiser. Apparently it's parked on the other side of the asteroid directly across from us. I also asked Doctor Clancy if he had a blueprint of the mines, and put it into 3-D form for analysis." He coughs, "Also, I ran some numbers based on the sensor readings of the remaining Green Skulls ship. With the dozen on the colony accounted for, assuming standard twin-bay configuration of the enemy ship they can't have more than 36 machines left. 26 would be a more realistic estimate."

Avi displays a rotating view of the asteroid on his PC, a misshapen lump of rock with the tunnels and mines displayed as glowing blue lines, "So, you can see that there are a bunch of large valleys and canyons the Tarrasque could fit in...but almost all of them have these little side passages it's too big to get inside. Most of them could fit the Knuckle Kaiser or any of our smaller mecha..."

"Knuckle Kaiser?" Samantha frowns, then smacks her forehead, "Right, the Black Ogre. Knuckle Kaiser, that's kind of a fun name. I keep thinking of it as the Black Ogre, though, because that's the official military designation."

[Continued]
>>
>>47141507

The Tarrasque isn't on the colony, it's on the asteroid, otherwise you would have run into it already. You probably knew that already, but people have been getting the colony and the actual mining asteroid it's floating next to confused.
>>
>>47141480
Because she is likely the best option for piloting it in general. So long as she has the skills never being in the actual thing is not a issue. It wasn't for us and Jesus still blew off limbs with his new suit. By the sounds of it, the Zam is on par with her style and prefernces so it's a good fit.

She'd also work best for our espionage buddy since her beligerant nature makes her ideal for a prisoner/hostage. Threats that she'll never see her father again, having us keep an eye on her, and all that would work since she'd be that easy to rile up. Any of the others would likely have to feign it, but with her, we don't and thus any sort of trickery involving her won't be required.

In short, the prisoner of battle and pillage would make the best actor for a prisoner of battle and pillage.

"Knuckle Kaiser, the autocrat of fists!" Karen explains, "Just like Roarke, it expresses its blazing, manly spirit through its powerful, shapely arms, and strong hands that can easily lift a woman's soul..."

"A-HEM." Avi interrupts while Samantha and Karen are nodding in dreamy agreement and staring at your arms.

The chubby helmsman grumbles and rubs his temples, "My point is, in terms of battle strength, we roughly outnumber the remaining enemy two to one. Um, apparently the whole botched scouting mission thing helped, apparently you and Captain Oda blew up a bunch of Harpies inadvertently when you cracked the airlock with fusion mines."

You remember the bag of reactor cores and Yoritomo gleefully perforating them with bullets, and decide that 'fusion mines' is a very kind way of putting it.

Fatima arrives, hmphing at her guards and the rather bewildered Yoritomo escorting her before taking a seat directly next to the head of the table. Next to you, in fact, which earns her a rather amused glance from Samantha and a slightly scary shiny-glasses glare from Karen.

Avi gestures to Doctor Clancy, "Now, why don't you tell the Admiral what you told me?"

The burly scientist starts to light up a cigarette, and wilts as Fatima glares full-strength at him, putting it away, "So, I looked at the specs of your machine, boss man. Seems I underestimated you a little. Now, I don't know who built it to exert such ridiculous PSI per finger..." Karen perks up and looks rather smug, "...Or who was responsible for the armor-piercing drills. Or these gripper things. Anyway, uh, if you can get through the shield projector, your Kaiser should be able to pierce the Tarrasque's armor. Somehow. Since when do pirates have this kind of thing anyway!?"

"Since ME." Karen replies, with a smugly kittenish expression.

"Right. Cornelius here has shown me around, and there are a lot of things you could do." He begins listing them.

"You could steal it. Those pirates might have had the access codes to get into it, but I don't think they have the time or the UJCIDF technical expertise to change the locks. You could blow a reactor core inside the cockpit, somehow, which would render it useless until repaired. You could have a Bluegill with a Heavy Missile or Impact Mace knock out the shield so that your heavy armor-piercing units could pummel it. You could set mines and damage its legs to keep it from flying or running. I personally like using Epoxy Guns to keep it from turning and aiming the main cannon at you while you jump it from behind...but I ain't in charge so I don't make those calls. What you do and how you do it is on you."

"I could pilot it." Fatima helpfully suggests, "I'm an excellent shot and have been using similar machines since I was a small girl. Mecha are a refined hobby and well-suited to noblewomen with strong dispositions."

"Don't shoot my Roarke!" Karen glowers at Fatima across the table, and Fatima glowers back.

"I would not! As it stands, I will be going home if Admiral Starwind is an honorable man, why risk that when I don't have a ship?"

"Because you're a crazy bitch." Karen mutters.

Fatima bristles, "At least I don't dress like a-"

"GIRLS. Strategy meeting. Tarrasque. Asteroid. Focus." You whack the table with your palm loudly enough to cut through their catfighting. "We're going to..."

By the way, if you take one mech and try to infiltrate (actually infiltrate on foot, not just sneak around with the S-Betta), keep in mind that there are between two dozen and three dozen Green Skulls Harpies left. Some might have stayed with the cruiser to deter boarders, but there are definitely some on the surface. Also while I hate to deter people's ideas, keep in mind that the Green Skulls' pilots probably know each other fairly well. A few dozen people you see every day isn't that far above the average number of kids in a classroom, and generally speaking you know when a new kid shows up.
>>
>>47142065
Would the Betta be able to sneak in though
>>
>>47142009
>but almost all of them have these little side passages it's too big to get inside.

I thought we didn't have any epoxy guns on our ship? Something about how we would have gotten them if we started with a gun focused mech.

I'm voting for the ambush. Preferably with the bomb that way we can take the shield down quicker.

Just to clarify if we hit the projector with any damage that can ovewhelm its auto-parry then it just dies? If that's the case then S-Betta swinging the mace with a sneak attack should be enough as well.
>>
>>47142009
The tarrasque is going to be the biggest problem. If we can take it out or steal it from right under them, we could easily mop up the enemy. Fatima would be the best shot as it were for the machine, but we should go with her.

Any of the green skulls who were interogated, get their suits make them Roarke size and we could infiltrate the place. We can have Oda pilot the Knuckle Kaiser with the impact mace to serve as a focus for them along with our ship. So long as they assume we are on our ship, they will likely not focus inwards.

Of course, we could also use the tunnel system to try and sneak in, but that could end badly if they manage to sound the alarm.
>>
>>47142009
Primary plan: Fatima comes with us in one of the mechs to try to steal the Tarrasque.

In the event things go south, or they're smart and have someone in the mech at all times, we have Sam cloak and lay mines to damage its legs (or, if that counts as an attack for the purposes of dropping her cloaking, just pass her an epoxy gun to bring along before deploying) while Miles stands by at maximum range to distract the pilot with a protracted sniper duel (where hopefully neither side will land a single hit).

Meanwhile, we sneak up using our ASP to maintain cover at all times and pummel its head in once its immobilized.

Bluegills and everyone else also on standby, in case things go really, really fucking south.
>>
>>47142009
Lure it into a trap placed by the S-Betta to disable it in the upcoming battle?
>>
>>47142089

Yes. The Betta would definitely be able to sneak in. However, that's one mech. If something goes wrong, you have one mech against the Tarrasque and however many Harpies there are.
>>
>>47142009
If we can equip our bluegills with 5K swords. We can have them bum rush with us to take down the head. They won't die in a single turn since their torso needs 5 hits (With 360 AOE weapon) before it dies. They also have a shield to parry. They can retreat if they take too much damage. Not to mention ranged attacks can't actually "Aim" at servos. The numbers would force the Zam to use the 360 instead of the particle accelerator.
>>
>>47142092

What I said was that if Roarke had been focused on guns his mech would have acquired a personal Epoxy Gun early.

Red Siren was kind enough to provide the standard Bluegill armaments she picked up along the with damaged Bluegills, to make up for the fact that most of them were missing limbs or heads when you received them. So yes, theoretically you could give every last Bluegill an Epoxy Gun.
>>
>>47142140
If Sam can drop us off safely with no one seeing and we fet into the Zam then were golden

>>47142106
Lets not give him the mace since we have an mo for going with no weapons so that might tip them off, but lets make a prerecorded message to make them think were still there
>>
>>47142092

Oh, I almost forgot to say. If you hit the I-Field with any damage that can overwhelm its auto-parry (7K+), the shield flickers out for two turns before it refreshes. To take the shield out permanently, you would need to do 6 Kills of damage to the shield system itself, contained within its Pod servo.
>>
Okay so people can we just disable it? It seems a lot of us are getting too caught up in wanting to steal it where it may be affecting our plans.
>>
>>47142202
How strong is a gamma bomb and how long does it take to make
>>
Why the fuck are we trying to go in solo and steal it? They're obviously going to be guarding the prototype doombot, and they're obviously going to recognize us if we just put on a uniform and walk up like "HAI GUISE DON'T YOU LOVE BEING GREEN SKULLZ"

It's like you want us to get caught.
>>
If we came at the Tarrasque from above or below wouldn't it be unable to shoot at us because it doesn't have arms to aim its weapon with?

I mean, it seems like a really shitty design to have the guns the way they are.
>>
>>47142202
>A-Particle Screen Projector (Pod)
I-Field?
We can focus down the pod then. A single punch is enough to blow it up from us. We have 8 tries to kill it in a single turn. After that we can focus on the head. Just so Nobody gets one shotted by accident. Then the rest of our blue gills and lieutenants can "safely" jump in and deal with the Green Skull reinforcement.
>>
>>47142282
Your right anon, we should shave our hair off to not tip them off
>>
>>47142249

150K and several days. You could also borrow a Strike Missile off the Yamato, since it's the same thing with a different name and a propulsion system.
>>
>>47142247
Stealing it would be ideal, since it gives us an additional weapon. But we should be prepared to fall back to disabling it as a backup.

>>47142285
It has thrusters, and can perform sustained flight. Presumably this would allow it to aim in whatever direction it pleases as long as it is airborne, even if it takes forever to aim since it turns like a cargo freighter.

Could the Berreta theoretically cloak herself and the bomb then drop it on top of the Zam
>>
>>47142325
>It has thrusters, and can perform sustained flight. Presumably this would allow it to aim in whatever direction it pleases as long as it is airborne, even if it takes forever to aim since it turns like a cargo freighter.

All you need to do is fly up and grab onto its legs or the top of it and it couldn't shoot you, and it couldn't maneuver to shoot you cause you're holding onto it.
>>
>>47142304

Slang term for a force-field type shield system.

Also, no. The Pod rocks 11SP armor. The first hit would do 1 Kill, -1SP, the second hit would do 1 Kill, -1 SP, the third hit would do 2 Kills, -1 SP, and the fourth hit would do 2 Kills, -1 SP to finish the shield off. You could do it in a single turn, except that you have to move into melee range (or be sitting in a tunnel waiting to ambush it) and you'd better hope all four attacks hit...and even after that, it still has its particle accelerator cannons.
>>
>>47142351
So Wong. Can the Tarrasque fire straight up and down?
>>
>>47142330

A Strike Missile? God no, one of those things is bigger than the Betta!

It could, however, hug a net full of 'fusion mines' against its chest to cloak them and drop it on the Tarrasque's head.
>>
>>47142336
This is true. Its defense consists primarily of sniping you while you're still far as fuck away. Pinning its legs would definitely be a viable tactic if we manage to close, as long as afterwards we can tear through its armor before its AoE chips us down.
>>
>>47142412
Well that can take out the shield and give us a chance to run in and smash the cockpit
>>
>>47142410

Yes. At least within the confines of a system where one hex is 50m wide. However, if it's grappled or immobilized, it can't turn to fire the main cannon in any direction but the one it's facing.
>>
>>47142330
Too much power. We wouldn't get any CP from the Zam. No new tech to research and increase our current armoury. She should just bonk the Zam to take the shield down.

>>47142351
God damn. 11 SP too? Well. I think If we have Osano-Wo with us then it's fine for us to focus the Pod down. The particle cannon "CAN" kills us in a single turn. It'd have to get past our dodge/parry twice though. That's why I wanted our blue gills on top of the Zam with us. Force it to have more incentive to use the 360 weapon attack instead of the particle cannon. Since we have epoxy guns then even better. The Zam won't be able to aim at us if we flank it.
>>
>>47142426

You don't have to do the pinning yourself, for once. After all, you have Bluegills with epoxy guns, and the Tarrasque pilot would need to roll Mecha Fighting at DC 18 (with a -7 penalty for the Tarrasque's clumsy bulk) to get free.
>>
>>47142439
So if we grappled it from below it couldn't shoot us?
>>
>>47142467
>Wide-Dispersal Particle Accelerator Defense System (Torso): Range 400m, WA+1, 4K, Wide Angle 360-degrees (hits all targets within range surrounding it), 39.9 CP, 18 Spaces, 2 tons
Somewhat less threatening, but still noteworthy, especially if we're considering bumrushing it with Bluegills.
>>
>>47141918
Colossus Slayer. Leviathan Nemesis. Steel Scourge. Clawed Devil. The Kestrel's Iron Hound.
>>
So, would it be correct to say that the general consensus (or at least enough support to avoid getting me lynched) is to cause a diversion to draw the Tarrasque into a kill zone, drop a bag of fusion mines on it from above with the S-Betta (which promptly flees while Samantha expends Luck to avoid any attacks from it) to take out the shield, then have your Bluegills shoot Epoxy Guns at it to keep it still with its main cannon facing away as the Knuckle Kaiser and Osano-Wo assault it from behind and tear at its armor?

If so, how many Bluegills do you want to bring? Once it's grappled, they'll engage with their maces and retreat if the 360-degree beamspam damages them enough to put their lives at risk.
>>
>>47142580
But look at the picture of it. It literally can't shoot above of below it.

If you work ONLY with crunch instead of incorporating crunch and fluff you get some weird shit.
>>
>>47142580
Blue Gills have nothing to fear. Can't really take them down lethally apart from two lucky crits on the torso.

3 hits on their head. 4 On their limbs. 5 On their torso. Not to mention they have 6 SP shields to parry with as well.
>>
>>47142590
A little less then half, we still have the harpies to deal send the rest plus the scimitars to fight them
>>
>>47142590
Eh sure. About half? Just to be sure the harpies aren't flanking.
>>
Where'd the master pastebin go?
>>
>>47142590
5 Is enough. That's 10 tries with epoxy shots. Send the rest to meet the Green Skull Harpy. Miles already said she can handle a dozen on her own. Now she has Mohammed and Richard to back her up. Make sure they engage away from vision range of Tarraque. We can't have them get hit if it decides to do a 360 attack.
>>
>>47142612

The legs are flexible and it has a powerful thruster array for balance, it can lean backwards and forwards more agilely than you might think. I'm pretty sure the original one was blowing up GMs near its feet in Mobile Suit Gundam 079, too.
>>
>>47142580
If it's only that, we will take 0 damage from it due to our officer armor. Really, if we can disable the pack and prevent it from swirving about we could win on our own.
>>
>>47142613

If they take an Epoxy Gun, they sacrifice their shield and their default ranged weapon for that mission.

Jovian mecha, as modular and versatile as a pile of legos!
>>
>>47142654
>keep saying grapple it from it's blind spot

>keep getting told it can rotate

for fucks sake, forget it.
>>
>>47142663

Any attack of 4K or more can pierce Officer Armor.
>>
>>47142651
If we can have 3 on perma epoxy duty. Two on stand by incase the 3 get damaged too much. That's still 6 epoxy shots per turn. We just need to tag it once.
>>
>>47142686

If it's grappled, it cannot turn to fire the big gun at you unless you get in front of it, because physically turning around counts as movement. However, it can thrash around enough to use its AoE attack. Rule 0.

This is partially because just grabbing it from the top or underside isn't a very effective way to grapple it, so you can't just stand directly below it and go "lol no attacks for u get rekt".
>>
You put your plan into motion.

The Rhinehawk's sensors find the Tarrasque roughly equidistant between the colony and the location of the enemy ship, slowly making its way towards it along a steep canyon with walls taller than it is. Fortunately, it's not underground. Up close, it's a big, ugly thing, with a flattened, domelike body ringed by beam projectors, with a few more on the underside for pilots who try to get clever and attack the belly. It has a sloping, flattened 'head' surmounting the mouth of the biggest, meanest cannon you've ever had the displeasure of witnessing, with a pair of small fins that make you think of eyebrows on top. The cockpit is set directly into the torso, acessible from both above and below. Perhaps the Green Skulls didn't anticipate they would need more than the half-dozen Harpies they have covering it from above, ranging roughly a kilometer away from it in any direction. Two to the rear, two in front, and one to either side. More likely, though, the Green Skulls' Bosun is simply running short of Harpies.

Fortunately, it's walking, making it much slower than your own mecha, and you're able to land with the Knuckle Kaiser, Osano-Wo, and five Bluegills equipped with Epoxy Guns in a stretch where the canyon intersects dozens of small mining shafts just large enough for a single mech to walk through. They turn out to be smaller than expected, and you have a nervous several minutes where the Knuckle Kaiser can't fit into any of the tunnels before you find a suitable one. Finally, you give the signal.

The S-Betta, lurking well in advance, waits until the front-right Harpy passes it before it pounces. It lets it get some shots off with its cannons, squalling for help over the radio, before it skewers its microfusion reactor and hurls it upwards into space, where it explodes into a brilliant ball of emerald plasma.

Rolled 5 + 1 (1d10 + 1)

>8,6,1,2,5,8 Awareness rolls

>4,3 Miles' hit location rolls, she got an 8 to hit with both shots and it failed to dodge either

It goes undetected, causing the six remaining mecha to halt in their tracks.

...Which is when Miles springs into action. Given strict orders to destroy only the front-left Harpy and then fly away as fast as possible to the Rhinehawk, shooting at her pursuers as she goes, she pops the Harpy twice at the center of mass and retreats as its torso and microfusion reactor explode. The pilot doesn't survive ejection, but has time to call for help.

The four remaining Harpies streak by, unknowingly passing the cloaked S-Betta in the air, hugging a bag against its chest. The Tarrasque rumbles forward on its oddly chickenlike legs, a spherical golden glow appearing around it as it marches confidently forward.

Samantha lets the bag drop, and it clunks down right on top of the bubble, starting to slide off before it explodes in a glittering blue-green fireball. Between the shield and the Tarrasque's armor, it emerges unscathed from a blast that would melt a lesser machine...but its shield flickers and dies.

Which is when you strike.

The pilot is good. Better than most of the Green Skulls, probably some up-and-coming rookie. The moment he's hit, the Tarrasque tries to dance away from what it clearly knows is an ambush.

He's just too slow, and thanks to Karen's upgrades, you simply punch too quickly.

Four blows miss as you zip around behind it, but your fists dig four times into the flat, armored pod set at the rear of its gigantic body.

"Yes!" You crow, as you switch the rather relaxing sound of Yes playing over the comms from Allies-Only to All, letting the Tarrasque hear it. Like a squilla pouncing on a giant crab, you've ripped its shield generator to pieces. (Pod status: destroyed, its armor is now at 7 and further damage goes to the Torso, meaning that it would be smarter to aim there than at the Torso itself with its intact armor)

Yoritomo misses twice, but two of his blows connect. His new katanas aren't the chainsaws you expected, but the edges glow with heat and burn deep into the cavity you've torn into the Tarrasque. (First blow inflicts -1 SP to the Pod, 2 Kills to the Torso, second blow inflicts -1 SP to the Pod, 2 Kills to the Torso, leaving the Pod with 5 SP and the Torso with 11 SP but only 18 Kills left, you can always order Yoritomo to aim for the head but he thought attacking the Torso was cooler)

Streamers of epoxy fill the air like an attack from dozens of massive spiders, none of the Bluegills willing to melee until they know the thing is trapped. It dodges some, pulls free from others, but ultimately its legs are glued in place.

"Two pursuers down, Admiral, want me to finish 'em off or go back home?" Miles chirps over the radio, which is crooning...

'I'll be the roundabout
The words will make you out-and-out
I spend the day your waaay~'

Frustrated, the Tarrasque's encircling turrets fire, digging furrows of golden light into the walls of the canyon and jetting towards its tormentors.

"I'm hit, boss! Sorry, but I've got to...oh wait, it's just a scratch." One of the Bluegills reports. The others chime in loudly.

"Asshole!" Says one, dodging a beam and catching another on its shield.

"You're not in a Harpy anymore, stupid!" A third flies high to dodge both beams, looking for an opening.

"These are military-grade mecha you nincompoop!" Yells another, also parrying.

The final one doesn't say anything, just dodges with a contemptuous little thrusterspin that sends him flitting BETWEEN two beams.

As for you and Yoritomo, you're both aces and dodge easily.

'Call it morning driving through the sound and in and out the valley...'

You hum along, digging your way into the back of the Tarrasque, ripping systems apart. Its all-around beamguns glow brightly and then die out, before you stab forward with an awkward spearhand that punctures the cockpit. Your new, advanced sensors report an abrupt lack of lifesigns from inside.

Sometimes it's great being you. The guitar kicks in just as you pull yourself out of the cavity and give your Bluegills a thumbs-up, "Mission accomplished, guys. Well done everyone."

It's funny, because a few threads in I was thinking about this, and realized that Roarke was basically the Lu Bu to Captain Ozark. Extremely talented warrior, very good record of wins in a mech, but not necessarily that skilled or experienced at leadership and social skills, let alone esoteric knowledge. His high mechanical aptitude is sort of an outlier.

Apparently memes became real, and now it's an awful idea to pursue Roarke Starwind because he can pull apart Mega Heavy mechs. It helped that you guys had a great plan to take away the Tarrasque's main advantages, though. In space, or on flat terrain, it would have been popping Bluegills like buttered corns on a hot frying pan.

Both had high damage output, you had backup and stopped it from using its main cannon. Remember when I said most fights don't take hours and hours like Roarke versus Yoritomo did? I wasn't kidding. That beam cannon can doubletap the Knuckle Kaiser's torso and end this story mighty quickly if it gets lucky (although Roarke has superb Reflexes and would probably survive a cockpit ejection).

Crits and Dice are far more deadly than any gundam anon. Really though, we basically did to the green skulls as they have done to us. Came out of nowhere and hammered them before they could even react. In a open field? This thing would be horrifying, especially with better sensors. Not only that, but even with it's defenses it is still a long range unit primarily.

Stick it as a mortar/walking turret and it'd be good, but not melee against someone with bunker busters.

"Admiral!" There's a call over the comms from Avi, "We've got trouble. The cruiser is back, it doesn't seem to be afraid of us for some reason. It's about eight kilos away and closing fast, I don't see what that son of a bitch is pla-" There's a wash of static interference, and as you look up you can see the big, green cruiser soaring almost overhead. >>
>>47144768

A mech gets +8 to hit a starship. A starship gets -8 to hit a mech. The system is remarkably obtuse about whether this counts as armor for megacrit purposes, so I'm going with yes.

However, a CIWS suffers no penalty at all to hit mecha. In fact, it has an advantage because the turrets take no penalty at all for the weight of their vessel, while the Knuckle Kaiser is inflicting a -5 on Roarke's 18 Mecha Pilot and Mecha Fighting. So with a B-Class crew, they're rolling 1d10+14 versus your 1d10+13.

So really, it's up to you. Strong possibility of you scoring megacrits versus being barraged by beam fire.

I'll check for consensus in ten!

>>47144774

I like it. It's not entirely unintentional that Karen gets an art shift as Roarke sees her less and less as a kid.

>>
>>47144865
We would need 167 crits to kill a ship like Rhinehawk. That's ATLEAST 21 turns of punching. I'd rather not dodge 42+ CIWS volleys.

Damn that cruiser ported so close (Too close don't you think?) to us. We only have around one minute till its right on top of us. Is that enough time for us to get the Tarrasque on board the Rhinehawk and peace?
>>
It's also an option to send the Bluegills back with the Tarrasque and just take the Osano-Wo with you. Both of your mecha are fairly beefy, and you also have the S-Betta around, although whether you want to use it for this or not is up to you. It's more fragile than the other two, but it has those cloaking systems.
>>
>>47144963

>>
>>47144942

>>
>>47144963
Yeah, sending the bluegills with the Tarrasque seems good. Being the rear guard with Oda isn't a bad choice. If we can tear our way in we could possibly take the ship and whatever goodies it has.
>>
>>47144959

Not so! You see, as you've doubtless noticed, crits roll on ~the special chart~. Megacrits also roll on ~the special chart~, but ignore armor. With that +8 modifier, Roarke needs to roll only 3 better than the enemy crew for a megacrit.

I'll summarize the ship crit chart, because it's much shorter than the mech crit chart.

1-3: Hit a weapon. It takes the damage to its Kills. Because that's still quite substantial even ignoring armor, this doesn't do much for you. After all, you're punching a giant cannon battery.
4: CIWS. Each time you get this result, the CIWS array's WA goes down by 1. At 10, it's destroyed.
5-6: Sensor Array. This costs it -1 WA to its main batteries. When reduced to -10, it loses all fire control.
7-8: Engines. Each of these costs the cruiser 50 meters per turn of moving speed. It starts with 600, and when it hits 0 it's dead in the water.
9: Crew. Damaging the life support reduces all rolls of the crew by 1.
10: Powerplant. Roll another unmodified 1d10. On a 1-5, the entire ship explodes. Main protagonist vessels and the ships of MAJOR villains ignore this result. On a 6-10, the ship is safe, but gets -1 to this roll every time it takes another powerplant hit.

>>47144988

Can't enter a mech bay while the shields are up, sadly.
>>
>>47144963
The S-Betta can wait until Osano-Wo and the Knuckle Kaiser cut a hole through the hull to enter inside. Then she won't take any fire.

We gotta hide on an asteroid as it chases the Rhinehawk/Yamato. Less time for the CIWS to see us.
>>
>>47145109
>10: Powerplant. Roll another unmodified 1d10. On a 1-5, the entire ship explodes.

There's a reason why a swarm of mecha can be lethal to a starship, even Harpies. Funny enough, the devs put in a sidebar justifying this talking about how starships in the genre are either indestructible space fortresses that get damaged but are damned hard to kill (White Base) or go up in flames whenever someone sneezes on them (every EFSF ship that isn't White Base, the Argama, the Nahel Argama, or the Dogosse Gier).

"Avi, move! Get both ships to move past the asteroid and prepare to flank it. Have the Rhinehawk run directly away from it so you can hit it with both batteries while the Yamato circles so it can hit it with a broadside."

Martian ships, after all, have port and starboard batteries while Jovian ships have bow and stern batteries, the optimum angle for each to hit is different.

"Boys, we're going up. Tally-ho!" You whoop.

"NIPPON BANZAI!" Yoritomo raises his heat katana, and the five Bluegills cheer, raising their maces and following you in an arrowhead formation.

"Miles!" You call out over the comm, "Get on the Rhinehawk's dorsal and see if you can hit anything important on the enemy ship from range, we're going in!"

"Roarke?" It's Samantha calling this time, "Roarke, that's a shield like the one the Tarrasque had, only on a much larger scale. It's an ablative model you see on new UJCIDF warships, much harder to overload but much harder to repair than the one we just saw. It would make it extremely difficult to damage."

You swear a little bit, reach up to adjust your aviators, and swear more as your fingers bounce off the visor of your helmet instead. You grit your teeth and issue an order, "Bluegills, each of you grab part of the Tarrasque and be thankful there isn't a lot of gravity weighing you down. Samantha, Yoritomo, we're playing rear guard. Into the tunnels, you two, let's see if we can ambush this son of a bitch."

You and Oda both simultaneously order your ships to open fire as you race back under cover. If your estimation is correct, you should be able to ambush the cruiser once it passes, and the Bluegills speed off towards the Rhinehawk like their lives depend on it.

All you hear is laughter...and then a single word, roared at the top of his lungs to both you and the crew of the Yamato, "HANAAAAAAAAAAAAABIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"

The ridiculously painted Yamato is roughly the same size as the cruiser. It's a less modern ship, it's taken more dents over the years, but you swear the eyes of the dragons painted along its bow flash as it wheels itself around and panels slide open along its flanks.

And from inside the exposed bays, you see torpedo tubes. You remember hearing Captain Ozark complaining about how gaudy and expensive the gigantic, oversized Strike Missile bays on the Yamato were, and how much of a gamble it was to salvo-fire them...but...

Rolled 6, 5 = 11 (2d10)

Points of light streak across the sky...and then everything goes pink. Violently, violently pink. Somehow, Yoritomo must have fucked with the propellant and chemical composition of the warhead, because for a moment it really does look like a giant snowfall of bright pink cherry blossoms.

Two missiles miss, streaking through space to explode in void, but the rest impact the shield, ripping holes in it. You see sensor arrays flare up and explode, popping along the hull as the vessel swings around, knocked off course. The golden light seems to burn like paper, vanishing into crackling streamers of crimson lightning.

(1200 damage, the shield absorbs 1000 and goes out for the rest of the fight. I messed up by rolling 2d10 for armor ablation, the 50 damage left over from the missile that took down the shield isn't enough to scratch it...but the final missile reduces its armor to 59 SP and its Kills from 1200 to 1110, it also has -1 to fire its cannons now).

The blast of light must have surprised your gunners, because the Yamato's other shots go wild. Only Avi manages to score a hit in the confusion, before the undaunted enemy vessel fires back.

(Avi's shot does 41 Kills, taking it down to 1069 and reduces it to 57 SP as per >>47145476 )

It fires back, aiming a volley at each ship. (+13)
>>
Well shields are down time to go in through the mech bay
>>
>>47145952
How about we go to the bridge and punch it? Assuming the bridge is an extrusion from the body of course.
>>
>>47145799

No. The Yamato beat it by 8, meaning it hit with eight missiles. Ironically, the Yamato, Rhinehawk, and Cruiser all have a very similar setup with one key difference each. The two larger ships each have an extra two Spaces over the Rhinehawk. The Cruiser has its shield, the Yamato has its missile bays. The Rhinehawk (currently) is just plain faster than either of them. It's possible, incidentally, to upgrade the Rhinehawk to Medium Weight size without losing its speed. Most of the essential systems and living structure aren't the outermost parts that you would be replacing and modernizing. Your upgrade options in such a case would likely be between more mech bays (and upgrading makes them larger anyway), doubling the damage of your beam batteries by going from Medium to Heavy, adding a tenpack of Strike Missiles like the Yamato's, or a shield like the cruiser's because you have access to that technology now.

Crisscrossing beams of light slice through the starways. Most miss, calculations thrown off by the fact that the explosion knocked the cruiser off-kilter. The cruiser scores a hit on the Yamato (40 Kills, reducing the Yamato's Kills to 1160 and reducing its Armor SP to 50), but Avi takes revenge, one of his blasts striking it dead-on (43 Kills, taking it down to 1026 and reducing its armor to 47 SP).

Meanwhile, you and Yoritomo launch. The S-Betta is probably somewhere nearby, but all you can detect of it is Samantha humming 'Somebody to Love' over the comms. You easily avoid the starship fire, but as you approach...the CIWS opens up on you.

Rolled 7 (1d10)

>>47146491

Rolling to see if their engine explodes...
>>
>>47146515
Damn.
>>
>>47146521
Nah we want the ship and the masked man the rest we'll just execute
>>
>>47146535
I don't want to risk our shit getting shot!
>>
Rolled 8 (1d10)

>>47146515

Rolling again because, hey, you have the Squilla Elbow. Not sure if the second hit counts as a crit, but hey.
>>
>>47146551
Thats why were going inside it
>>
Rolled 6, 6 = 12 (2d10)

...And then Yoritomo with a 6 and 8 versus 9 and 2 rolls 10 twice.

Is this the dawn of Owari?
>>
>>47146582
BANZAAAIIIIII
>>
>>47146559

That might be easier said than done now.
>>
Don't worry, the loot from an exploded ship is still enough to upgrade the Rhinehawk to Medium Weight, if you want. Or you could repair it, which takes longer, it's a bit gutted at the moment.
>>
>>47146623
When did it explode?
>>
>>47146623
So how much cp does it cost to give the hawk a shield?
>>
>>47146582
>>47146636

>And then Yoritomo with a 6 and 8 versus 9 and 2 rolls 10 twice.

2 Mega crits on 10(explode). Rolled against DC 5 to explode VS 6-1, 6-2. Both win.
>>
>>47146582
I honestly want to see the masked man's final moments when his thought out plan has been shot to shred.

"Hmmm.. we are getting hit far too often. Send out our secret weapon."

"You mean that big bipedal mech? A bunch of bluegills seem to be carting it away. No lifesigns. Also the Black Ogre is punching our ship.. a lot."

"..What the fu-"
>>
Alright we need to go to Red Siren's planet to make sure that everything is alright as soon as we fiish here plus we can spend some time resting and repairing and upgrading our stuff
>>
>>47146645
I have no idea how crits work. Where are these numbers coming from?

Oh god. I though Wong said he wasn't using explosive dice. Where are you subtracting from? FUUUUUUU
>>
>>47146637

It costs you 1 salvaged Green Skulls cruiser. I listed the upgrade choices earlier.
>>
>>47146690
Where else could we get shields like that from?
>>
>>47146671

I used Wizards of the Coast's online diceroller for Yoritomo because captcha was being a dick and apparently can't decide whether something is a street sign or not, I can screenshot his rolls if you like.

There were no explosive dice, every powerplant hit regardless of success or failure reduces the DC to explode by 1. So you made it possible for Yoritomo to blow the thing up with his heat sabers.
>>
>>47146707
Karen. She's been working on armour tech since forever ago. I wonder if she can make upgrade the scale to cruiser size while we are at it.
>>
>>47146718
This system is really fucking crazy.
>>
>>47146718
Okay so how long will it take to get it space worthy again?
>>
>>47146690
I'd rather go for better mech bays. More space, room to improve the Kaiser, and maybe some better catapults to launch our mechs out quicker and repair them faster.

"Bosun, sir! We have reactor sign, a pair of enemy mecha are attacking our vessel!"

"What? That isn't possible! The prototype is supposed to be...be below us..." The Bosun's eyes don't close properly anymore, beneath his mask is a ruin of burned and twisted flesh, but as he hits magnify for a view of the asteroid...they widen like saucers.

"Crewman, what are you seeing?" He points, savagely.

"Sir, it appears to be the prototype. Or at least, most of it, being carried by five Bluegills painted black with silver trim and a hawk insignia on the pauldron."

The Bosun begins to shake with rage, "DIRECT ONE OF THE BATTERIES AT THEM AND MELT THE ASTEROID BENEATH THEIR FEET! I WILL...I WILL..." He grabs at the left side of his chest and stumbles against his chair.

The hapless crewman glances at another screen, "Sir, we have rapidly rising reactor fluctuations. Something seems to be interfering with the A-Particle bottle."

Another member of the bridge crew calls out, "It's the Black Ogre and...and that ridiculous blue one from the Storm Dragons! One is peeling back the armor plating and the other is jamming some sort of weapons into the core and...and the Ogre is making poses at the camera, sir! Disrespectful ones!"

"Hnnnghhnf..." The Bosun clings to his chair, drool spilling from beneath the mask as he tries to regain his footing. He never has the chance. As three mecha, one of them invisible, zoom away from his vessel...fire races through it.

The explosion lights up the night again, leaving a gutted hulk of metal in its wake and illuminating, just for a moment, the silhouettes of three machines high-fiving.

Rolled 4 (1d10)

>>47146819
Hopefully we find the mask floating through space for our trophy room, rolling for luck
>>
>>47146746

Honestly, it would take a lot of time and a lot of money, considerably more than it would have taken to arm the Heart of the Sunshine. Granted, it would have been completely unsalvagable if, say, Avi had shredded it with the Rhinehawk's guns instead of you blowing its powerplant, but basically it's missing many of its most expensive parts and nothing can currently live inside it.

It's a project.

>>47146774

You automatically get that when your ship gets bigger. You could get MORE mech bays, but seeing as you aren't anywhere near full capacity currently I'd question the logic of that decision.
>>
>>47146839

You don't have to roll, like I would ever NOT have you find the mask.
>>
>>47146856
Freddie Mercury, Roarke's animal spirit, flies out of the fire like some kind of 80's God and hands Roarke the mask.

>>
>>47146841
Upgrade the Rhinehawk's beam turrets. The best defense is a good offense. And with its speed, the Rhinehawk can kite all day along.
>>
>>47146872
I'd rather it hit the Rhinehawk's windshield or sticks to the back of that one damaged bluegill's head. The Bosun does not deserve the touch of Mercury.

Fact: the Green Skulls thought the Iron Kestrels no longer existed as a unit and the Storm Dragons would run off at the thought of facing multiple 70+ groups of Harpies with warship transportation.

Fact: The Green Skulls believed nothing short of the UJCIDF could get them off Suleiman, and that even if they showed up the Tarrasque would wreck them.

Fact: The Green Skulls thought Roarke S. Starwind died in an ambush.

Fact: The Green Skulls lost nearly 90 Harpies on Suleiman 1 to the Iron Kestrel Fleet.
>>
>>47146903
Fact: The Green Skulls are big dumb dumbs.
>>
>>47146903
Fact: What doesn't kill Roarke S. Starwind, better leave the fucking Galaxy or he WILL hunt you down.
>>
>>47146903
From what you told us, the green skulls had 5 ships. We blew up two of them. Thats a hell of a blow to them even if the green skulls still have a super cruiser flagship. If the red sirens join up, it's 3 on 3. More if other pirate crews want a piece of green skull.
>>
>>47146903
Fact: "Hollywood" Roarke Starwind went on to form the NGO (New Galactic Order) with "Too Cool" Samantha And "The Big Guy" Yoritomo Oda
>>
>>47146940
With the reputation gained from this ordeal I'm sure we'll gather some more miscreants.
>>
>>47146903
How many ships did we lose, again?
>>
>>47146997
Mechs, rather.

We didn't lose any ships.
>>
>>47146961
Nah, what we need to do is establish Jupiter and the colonies near it as a independant state with the various pirate fleets and give it a catchy name like Neon or something. Then we mass produce the Big Za- I mean Tarrasque.

>>47147007
None from what I can tell.
>>
>>47147007
Don't think we did. Some just need to be repaired.
>>
>>47147017
>>47147020
>yeah so these guys came in, blew up 90 harpies, a couple of bigger dudes and a couple of ships

>they didn't lose anything but some paint, though

Well someone just got five minutes of fame on the interwebs.
>>
>>47147017
>establish Jupiter and the colonies near it as a independant state
But it's already an independent state. The UJCIDF goddamn long acronyms are its military
>>
>>47147045
I wonder what awards Roarke is gonna win at the annual pirate's banquet
>>
>>47147047
The fuck, who just reported me?
>>
>>47146963

Among other things, I'm pretty sure you've gained so much IP that you've hit 9 in both Mecha Piloting and Mecha Fighting, meaning you are officially at the point where everyone who follows mecha has heard of you. Essentially, you've achieved Red Comet status.

Man, what thread did you get IP in, anyway? Wasn't it before you even recruited Oda?

Remind me of all the crazy shit you did since then, in case I'm missing anything.

>>47147070
I think we only did the capturing of the Heart before this
>>
>>47147070
I'll tell you what we haven't done, gotten our out of mech HtH skills up to snuff.
>>
>>47147087
Time for a training montage with our Mr Miyagi
>>
>>47147070
Let's see.. solo fighting a ton of harpies, rescuing our damsel and landing a ton of crits on the hogan brothers, tearing apart a mega heavy and killing it's pilot, and then teaming up with Oda and Sam to stab a reactor until it explodes.

We also gibbed a harpy with our fists. Like, fine mist gib. Thats from the top of my head.

Poor Demon Mask.. he's probably itching to fight us, but he has opened up pandora's box.
>>
>>47147094
I was thinking we just go to Oda's dojo and start beating the shit out of people.
>>
>>47147084
By oneshotting the commander of the Heart's bodyguard mech.
>>
>>47147070
We made the two brothers, Green Skull aces, shit there pants and destroyed them in two turns each.

More importantly, we protected Athena's smile.
>>
>>47147102
>just Ip Man-ing Oda-san

Cold. I also don't think we're that good.
>>
>>47147101
Every month the military are just having meetings bumping up our threat ranking
>>
>>47147129
>Sir, it seems like we have lost a majority of our female crew.

>WHAT? What happened?

>A photo of Roarke Starwind stepping out of the shower with nothing but a towel covering himself was released, sir.
>>
By the way, I think I might run a little longer if you guys don't mind staying up. Just fluff stuff, this IS the end of the introductory arc, after all, things haven't started getting crazy yet.

By the way, you flat out gain at least one Leadership before I calculate how much you would gain normally for not losing any crew on Suleiman.
>>
>>47147129
Three months time they just make a rank simply called "Roarke" with a mug shot of him smiling and flipping them two birds.
>>
>>47147159
Im fine with it we might have to make a 15.5 thread though
>>
>>47147161
>it's not just a sound file of a harmonica playing inexplicably when they try to open his file

C'mon, step it up!

>>47147159
It's the weekend. When else am I going to stay up all night? Do me a favour though.

Send the video to Clemmy. "So I didn't die today. But more improtantly, as promised *Thumbs Up*. Get some popcorn. When you finish, unspoiler the sentence, answer me two questions. One, have you seen this much metal get demolished before? Two, why aren't you a pirate with me already?"

>Sgt. Blanchett, get the mop, I think Lt. Farragut overheard. By the way, where is your sister again?

Also, woo! Longest thread so far!

And still going!! Also just beat the Moonlight Butterfly in Dark Souls. It went down like the Big Zam. In other words a bitch.
>>
>>47147302

Oy. Don't you shittalk the Big Zam. Just because Roarke Roarke'd it doesn't mean it couldn't mow through legions of Bluegills on its own.
>>
But no, really, we need to get our combat skills out of our machine up before Clemmy Solid Snakes her way into our personal space then murders us.
>>
>>47147329
We could go and win an underground brawl or we could do the fun option and just due the entire plot of Karate Kid dance high school bullying and all
>>
>>47147328
Didn't it also go down to an exploding fighter and a plasma sword?
>>
>>47147361

Hop in, let's wrap this arc up!
