>New thread for the vampires, last thread here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/46883160/

You need weapons, and you need them quickly. Using the very last of your gold. You pay for swords, bows and arrows, and a single matchlock pistol. The thralls arm themselves, doubling their duties of both worker and guardsmen to your property. The original thrall wakes you

“Sire. We have not seen the cloaked figure. But I come baring a letter from the mayor” You take the letter and read:

Lord Le Vieux,
It would please me and my daughter to have your company at my 45th birthday party, held at my manor. I am glad hear that you have begun work on the old castle, and I hope it becomes a beacon for the community. My daughter has been asking many questions about you, of which I have no answers. So for my peace of mind, you simply must spend the evening with us. Father Frollo also hopes to see you at mass soon, in these dark times; we must be ever vigilant against the forces of darkness.

Sincerely
Baron Berger

With the new threat against your life, you’d be putting yourself in danger. But you also can’t pass up the opportunity to thrall the mayor or turn his daughter into your newest childe.

D. Lets put good use for that soul we just got and raise some more skello warriors!

Also. We should totally go to the party, it would be rude not too, and we may get a chance to rid ourselves of our hunter friend.

I'll go with D but I'm thinking maybe something more inn the illusion side something that could protect us if shit does go down at the party
Invisibility maybe

I change my vote to this OP. I like the idea of dissolving our bodies into a swarm of small bats.
>>
>>46901582
That could be risky, if someone sees it the town would be marching on the castle in no time
>>
>>46901397
A. get the castle finished as soon as possible. If we are attacked by the hunter, we should have defenses that are better than a few thralls, and a half built fort.

Also, respectfully decline the invite. Tell them that you are not feeling well or something, because we can't know if this is a trap of the hunter or not. We ant dying for some chick yet.

Agreed, this is a bit monstrous than we need; even though it sounds cool. Perhaps we can manipulate shadows and such? Invisibility seems a bit out of our range.

We could also have a thrall sabotage the church. If there's no church to go into, then obviously we can't go to mass.

We want to avoid suspicion though
>>
Attempt to build up a tolerance to religious symbols through extended exposure under controlled conditions.
Weaknesses must not be allowed to remain weaknesses.
>>
>>46902844
That's the point. Conspicuously not going to mass raises more suspicion than someone burning down the church. One is directly related to you, one only raises a bit of suspicion.
>>
>>46902995
I think not going to mass for religious reasons, is less suspicious then the church burning down the literal week you show up.

People may be less trustful of us naturally as a quaker, but it raises fewer red flags than the church going up in flames
>>

Then we need to start breaking people's faith in their god the less they believe the less potent their weapons are against us.

Great idea!

The great plan is to have a combined mortal-undead kingdom.

We can use zombies to tend to the fields. No need to fed them, no need for them to sleep, no revolts.
So zombies for cashcrops and food.
The humans will remain free peasants, artisans and so forth. To get a loyal well fed population with high initiative and expertise.
>>
>>46903904
Clearly defined?
Not really
Depends on the type of vampire.
Some have severe ocd, and must count everything they see, so spilling rice near them will stop them in their tracks.
>>
You spend your hours working on ways to use magic to undermine the thrice cursed hunter. Direct attack will be futile, you have learned as much through your many years of being alive. Instead, a more subtle method of attack is needed. In your dark tomb, you begin to imbue your cloak with the powers of darkness itself. You soon become melded with their powers, going strong in its presence.
>[Shadow magic added, you can submerge yourself in any shadow at will. You can also use the shadows to create some imperfect illusions.]

You hear your original thrall from the top of the stairway “M’lord, Your horse is ready” You find it insulting to have to rely on horses, even the mechanical ones, but it is imperative that you raise no suspicion about your humanity. A few hours, after taking a break neck ride through the dark forest, you and your first thrall (who acts as your manservant for the evening) arrive at the town. While not as busy as your first visit, you still see a lot of activity at the mayor’s stately manor. As you walk through the doors, you are announced to the party. Thankfully you had your thralls feed you before going to the party, as it is so tempting to nip into the neck of the beautiful village girls. But you have only eyes for the Mayors daughter, you bares such a resemblance to your lost beloved. They mayor introduces you to many important people of the village, various lords and merchant.

>Look for the hunter.
>Seek time alone with Maria.
>Seek time alone with the mayor.

>What do you have your thrall do during your activities?
>>
>>46903993
Well the idea with this village we make the villagers into our ghouls by starving them and then feeding their dead friends to them without them knowing but that can work to.
>>
>>46904054
>Seek time alone with the mayor.
We can seduce Maria later.
>Our thrall can snoop for clues of the hunter
>>
>>46904054
Greet the mayor first and have the thrall look around for the hunter after meeting with the mayor slip away and look for our girl
>>
>>46904054
Seek time alone with the mayor.
Maria...we should court for a while, before giving her a choice.

Have the thrall spread rumours about the priest, saying he saw him with lipstick upon his neck the other day.
>>
>>46904054
Don't snub the daughter, but definitely spend time with the mayor. Try to get him alone and thrall him.

Reiterate the invitation to the daughter to visit the castle once it's finished.

Our thralls should keep an eye out for the hunter.
>>
>>46904054
Spend time with the mayor. Talk with. Try to get informations about this time and age.

Thrall shall look out for the hunter

>>46904063
The tax that our villagers should later pay is simply. If they die, their bodies are handed to us.

>>46904142
>Try to get him alone and thrall him.
No! That would raise suspission. We should stay low ...for the time
>>
>>46904054

>>
>>46904321
I think we have a different view on what a thrall is and how they are acting.
>>
>>46904350
Our original thrall acts pretty normal. He's easily passed for unchanged in town before, and the mayor can be the same.

As far as I can tell from former updates the only change they undergo is obedience.
>>
>>46904350
It could use some clarification on which kind of thrall exists here
>>
>>46904388
Okay but I am with this anon
>>46904395 if it is like you say then sure, go for it
Let's see if OP can make it clear
>>
>>46904388
He did go without provoking attention but maybe he wasn't known well where as the mayor could raise suspicion if he started acting differently especially around his daughter and we don't want her pissed at us
>>
>>46904388
Our original thrall was a criminal and a grave-robber, so his behavior was already suspect.
>>
>>46904444
Checked.

I guess we could use some clarification from OP
>>
The only change is in obedience.
The thrall still has the same personality, mas evident by the thralls being disgusted by gruesome displays, and by their abundant fear. Not to mention the fact that their families, despite being disgruntled over the move, suspect little. And if family doesn't notice, who will?
>>
>>46904504
Fair point if our thrall's family aren't throwing a stink I doubt the mayor's would but intelligence could also be a factor we might have lowly peasant thrall's and families and the daughter could be learned
>>
>>46904504
So why we don't enthrall everyone! :D
>>
>>46904589
I'm sure there's some sort of cap at some point, but as it is I figure we can get away with enthralling anyone we want.
>>
Thralls will not raise any suspicion, they are completely loyal and will do anything to make sure that you were safe. They are however capable of human faults just like anybody else; so if you send them to do something hard. They have a good chance of fucking up. Their personalities are the same, but won't be able to resist your orders.
>>
>>46904721
so basically our thralls are just mind controlled humans. is there any way we could create a few lesser vampires? something less inconspicuous than a mortal, but with some of the powers that we wield?

I think the basic plan is for Maria to be our first real convert and rule by our side.
>>
>>46904763
We should spend a few days in town just thralling the shit out of prostitutes, solitary workers, and we prooobably should thrall the builder we hired, because we can just order him to maintain his normal work schedule and build shit for other people as he would normally, but to give us e plans for their castles and such later.
>>
>>46904763
>>46904786
First business then pleasure. We've still got a hunter to deal with then we can turn Maria. Also frollo needs to go fast if we're to turn the mayor he's a personal friend and a nosy one at that he'd notice how much time the mayor and our guy are spending together.
>>
>>46904891
Our original thrall recommended that we not thrall the builder because he's famous and people will come and investigate why he's staying with us.

That said, we can always just go balls deep and do it anyway.
>>
>>46904923
Yeah, thats why we tell him to act normally. To go do what he would do normally.

Ah, right, missed the last half of your post for some reason. It's a good plan.
>>
>>46905030
>>46904923
>>46904997
I have an idea for what we do with the hunter. We need to be a saint in the eyes of the people shelter the homeless, give money to the church and so forth. We'll also have to go farther out to hunt we can't touch any villager because eventually when the hunter accuses or attacks us he'll seem crazy to accuse us of being a monster. In other words he needs to look like the monster attacking the noble count.
>>
>Meet with the mayor and have our thrall watch for the hunter
Votes have been weighed. Writing! (Sorry the slow updates. Had to drive home after school, and finals are pain in my neck.
>>
>>46905172
Of course, all he needs to do is throw some holy water at us and we're revealed. If you ask me, I favor taking power quickly, before he can react.
>>
>>46905347
Do it fast and we run into one too many speed bumps, plus that's why you tamper with his gear you replace the holy water with regular water or with alcohol
>>
>>46905347
We will pretend to be allergic to pure water. It's the nuclear wasteland we're living.
>>
>>46905439
>replace holy water with pure alcohol

>>
>>46905491
We really should do this if he attacks us in public that kind of stunt would make us idolized to the entire town. We wouldnt need to thrall them then, we will but they would already do anything because we saved them. Maybe acting like a vampire hunter could be good for us....
>>
>>46905714
It's not acting like a vampire hunter persay it's just we're the nobleman who looks out for the little guy. See we even found the true monster among you and we didn't t even have to get paid to do it.
>>
>>46905491
>>46905714
>>46905767
I suspect that as long as the church is active we're going to have problems. We'll want to deal with Frollo as soon as possible, and once we're idolized we should undermine the church as much as possible.

“I realize this is your birthday, but I was hoping I could have a word with you in privet mayor. Its rather important business I’m afraid.” you say, though you ache to spend more time with Maria. The mayor looks as though he’d rather mingle with the other important gests, but you use a portion of your mind powers to make him more agreeable.

“But of course Lord Le Vieux… by the way, what title do you have. If you don’t mind me asking.”

“I am a Count, from my family’s lineage”

“Ah, very good… please, come with me, we can talk in my library.” You two make your way past party goers. Even passing Maria, who seems to be having a awful time with her mother as Boys from the village step up to ask for a dance. She looks up to see your face, and a smile grows. Vampires tend to obsess over beautiful mortals, but you find that smile enchanting. I roguish wink, signals that you will speak with her later. She blushes, clearly inexperienced with such courtship. Down a hallway, and passed several doors, you make it to a library that smells of tobacco, brandy, and well loved books.

“Well, you have me alone Count Le Vieux. What was so urgent?” You look around, shutting the door behind you as you make sure the cost is clear.

“I was hoping to ask for a job. I am afraid I have already run out of funds rebuilding my family’s estate. I have grown found of this village, and I wish to settle down. Make a family perhaps. And any assistance would be appreciated, as I am the last of my line.”
>>
>>46906173
“That is excellent my boy! We always welcome new people in our village. I must say there is much talk about you already, gossip you understand. But I think that we can find work for you… we are always in need of… Count Le Vieux? What are you?!” while the mayor was busying himself, making a couple glasses of brandy, you soundlessly hover over the carpet. Before he could put up much of a fight, you seize his head and force your will upon him. He is a good man, a righteous man, so it challenges you to take him; especially with your will spread over multiple thralls at once. But his inebriation from the party gives you the edge you need to control the old man. Quietly, you set him down on a chair. You pour much of the brandy into the fire, to make it look as though he had drank too much. Before leaving the room, you leave the impression that you will be back with more orders; but for now he is to pretend to be his normal self.

You return to the party, the guests having not noticed the mayors absence. Fine men and women of the town in their Sunday best. You make your way thought the crowd eager than if you had waltzed passed them. You soon see your prize.

“Goodevening ladies” you say, interrupting the hunting story a merchant’s son was retelling Maria “But I was hoping to borrow this young lady for a dance”

“We where talking!” He says, clearly not liking you, but Maria replies with

“I would love to dance” You take her pale hand your gloved one, and escort her to the ballroom. The band begins to play a The Blue Danube Waltz, and you take your role as lead. Your eyes never leaving Maria’s, as you show off your prowess at dance. Her gown flowing with every movement you take her through, each step as though she weighed nothing at all. Buy the songs end, the ballroom applauds your performance. Flushed, Maria laughs.

“I have never danced quite like that Lord Le Vieux”

“Please, call me Marius”
>>
>>46906206
“Very well. Marius” You both realize you have not disengaged each others gaze for quite sometime. Embarrassed, she fans herself with a silk fan. “I think the band is starting again, shall we dance again?”

Just before you reply, you feel a tug on your silk sleeve. It is your thrall…. With every world laced with danger, you say “What…is…it…”

Stammering he replies “M’lord, your FRIEND is here tonight.” He nods his head towards to the window. You can see him, standing underneath a tree with a mask hiding his face.

“I am afraid I must take my leave, please. Tell me that we will meet again… soon.”

“Of course! I’d be delighted.” After which you bid her a good night, being so bold as to place a delicate kiss on the top of her hand. You leave, taking the horses from the stable. Their metallic clopping beating a pace on the cobbled streets. Once you reach the forest, you leave your mount and take to the skies. The feeling of cold air leading you home as you recount your successful night, burning in you mind, the smell of Maria’s perfume along with the frantic beating of her heart.

You have the thralls begin work on the wall. Heavy stones being lifted by pulleys and leavers. Several nights go on like this, you laying low from the eyes of the hunter while the workers build more and more layers onto the wall. You supervise when you can, but you also have other plans cooking. Reading some of the books in your meager library, you catch up on history.

Apparently after 1000 years (while you slept) Monsters began throwing off their disguises, and attacking without mercy. The governments of the world, being their last hope, launch several weapons that have polluted the land. Some areas are still effected by this thing called “radiation”, and thanks to the supernatural powers that lived in the area, began turning the land into the bleak landscape you see now. At first, the vampires quickly became the ruling power of the planet, then when human blood began to become scarce, the elders quickly destroyed lesser vampires and other beasts as a way of maintaining numbers. While, this was happening, several of the wealthy vampires amassed great ships to go into space, where the sun could never harm them, and they could live off a steady and well-maintained herd of humans for sustenance. Some even fly to escape human/vampire relationship bigotry. This thought appeals to you, never having to worry about the sun destroying you, to finally escape the curse of hiding from mortals while you are the clear apex predator.

Word gets to you that the majority of the wall is complete. You are shocked to find that a whole month has passed. But such is the nature of those who live forever, losing months or even years of time are a luxury of older vampires. You look on in pride, as a high wall has been built around your keep, enclosing more land and hopefully keeping the damned hunter from spying on you.

Your first thrall comes before you
“M’lord! I Have urgent news! It appears that Maria has been kidnapped! A cloaked figure in black stole her away from her home during the day. None of the servants have seen where she went, and this was found on the door of her room”

You quickly take the note from the thralls hand, reading it several times before finally getting the message in your haste

“I have saved this girl from a fate worse than death. She is confused, and believes that she has feelings for a monster like you. If you want her back, meet me in the church during sunrise, come alone, and come unarmed. This is your only warning, I do not wish to harm her, but I will if it means getting my payment. Nothing personal, just business. - The Arrow”

>>
>>46908104
And alert everyone. Not sure that plan will work, Anon.
>>
>>46908052
Work on fleshwarping a servant to appear and sound exactly like you - Mere illusions ll be cut through by the hunter, without a doubt. Send the disguised servant to the arranged spot, giving him instructions to act EXACTLY like you, and if we have time after the fleshwarping we can even give him lessons on how we act.
>>
>>46908127
>>46908104
Nah, in all all seriousness, we need to alert the townsfolk, and have them do our dirty work.

With the help of the mayor's credibility we can easily get them all to go in there and easily dismiss any accusations he makes.
>>
>>46908133
This is a really good plan, we can have the servant even appear in direct sunlight.

We also must tell the thrall that failure will be met with a fate worse than death, in case the hunter breaks the mind control somehow.
>>
>>46908168
We still have that pistol right? we should give it to someone who know how to use it seeing as we've never fired a gun before.
>>
>>46908160
This to be honest.
>>
Why don't we just let her die? Is she that important? Yes, i did't read the thread
>>
>>46908239
She reminds us of our lost love and we must continue our vampire blood line.
>>
So, how about we do a mixture of these plans: we get the mayor to raise a mob against the hunter. We fleshwarp a thrall to act as our double and go in our stead by dawn. We personally lurk in the shadows of the town, hidden with shadow magic, so that we can strike the hunter directly if we MUST, or save the girl somehow.

A plan with multiple fallbacks.
>>
>>46908309
If we have the ability to disguise a thrall, I say go for it.

Except we probably have to be close to home personally. It is at dawn after all.
>>
>>46908342
And inside a church, we'll be at a severe disadvantage if we enter the building
>>
>>46908342
We only have to avoid direct sunlight, lurking in buildings at the town should be fine
>>
>>46908367
How direct does the sunlight have to be? Can we wear a large hat and a cloak and waltz around like that?

The ultimate revenge would be to turn him into a sort of lesser vampire. He would become the very thing he has hated and hunted all his life.

>>
>>46908457

You must act quickly, there is little time before the sun rises. You organize the Thralls to arm themselves, while psychically sending a message to the mayor to organize a proper mob. While everyone is getting ready, you pull aside your first thrall and inform him that he is about to become an critical part of your plan. IN the tomb, you begin feverously casting spell after spell, morphing his feature to be finer, more like your own. This drains you, more and more, your own face becomes like taught leather, fangs barely contained in your mouth. You thought about using the soul, but think that it might be useful if things get hairy during the morning.

Soon it is time to head out, armed with your dagger, sword, and pistol. You travel with your host of men, you wear a hood to hopefully protect yourself from the coming rays of the sun. As you enter the town, You split off from your host. Choosing to go in the alleys and other shaded areas of the town, whenever you come into contact with the sun, that portion becomes aflame. If it gets any brighter, it may become lethal. You then begin to merge with the shadows of the buildings around you; this offers you some protection from the light, but at the cost of more blood. You swift from one shadow, to the next nearing yourself closer to the church, while your thrall double approaches the church. The mob surrounds the church as well, pleading with the mad man to let Maria go. Through your connection you gain control of your thrall’s mind, this too is costly as you hide within the attic of a nearby house; even here you can feel the power of the church effecting you.
>>
>>46909965
“I told you to come alone monster! I have the girl, and I am not leaving until you come in, ALONE! Then the good people of this town can see you for the devil that you are when you sizzle on the doorstep!”

“Arrow!” You say through the thrall’s augmented vocal cords “I’m here!, please don’t harm Maria, she hasn’t done anything wrong. You know this has gone far too long. Let her go.”

“Not until you come inside. I’ve got some wonderful tools I want to use on you.”

The crowd tells the thrall not to go in, but through your will, he steps forward. You see through his eyes the insides of the church, pews overturned into makeshift barricades. An arrow flies straight for the thrall, but even with his mortal body, you manage to dodge out of the way, rolling towards a pillar.

“I don’t know how you managed to get in here without withering, but I’m sure I can figure out your little trick” another arrow grazes the thralls shoulders. “It’s a shame really, you are probably one of the last… what? 10 of elder vampires left in the world? I can tell your old, by how quickly you got the town to be on your side. But that doesn’t matter. I’ve killed stronger demons for less money than I’m getting now. 2 million for one vampire will set me up for life.” You can hear Maria’s muffled screams from behind a gag, and then a slap from the arrow “Quiet bitch! This will all be over soon.”

Your rage is limitless…

>What now?
>>
>>46909995
If we can somehow ensure Maria's safety, this is the perfect opportunity to burn down the church, weakening its power over the town and forcing Arrow out.
Lets see if we can set fire to the back of it somehow.

You (the real you) takes the soul, which you bound to the pendant. You take the volatile source of energy, and absorb it into your being. At once you feel a great surge of energy, white hot and blinding you stagger at its full power. Not wanting to waste time, you focus on sending horrible nightmares and phantasms to The Arrow. He has wards to fight off such spells, but the wither away at the from your super charged spell. Soon The Arrow screams with manic fear, scratching his face and pulling his hair from the top of his head. This gives your thrall time to rush over to Maria. Taking her, you(r thrall) rush to the doors of the church, two bolts from his cross bow wiz toward you, nailing you both times in the shoulder.

“You think you can use your cheep tricks to stop me?!” He screams, still looking around as though beset by invisible monsters. Another bolt sinks itself into the breast bone of your thrall, missing vital organs by millimeters. “I am The Arrow! The greatest hunter the land has ever seen! Even monsters hire me to do their dirty work. Even the great king of the damned respects me! If you think you can just waltz out of here, you have made a terrible mistake. I…uak!” His words are cut short, as Maria sinks your knife into his side. Distracted by his visions, he hardly noticed her cutting her bonds and rushing him. She stabs again… and again… and again… and again… and again. Finally dropping the knife. Sobbing, She turns to your double as he passes out from blood loss and pain. Thanks to your psychic link, you feel his pain as well as if you had where standing in his shoes.
>>
>>46912041
Both of you wake up, your true self still in the attic of the home, while your psych linked thrall. So hungry are you, that you feed on the rats that crawl in the space above the house… then the two elderly folk that live in the house… and then the dog that lives outside. All of this, is done quietly, but with such violence that you can hardly believe that it is you doing it. As this is happening, your thrall is treated as a hero in the hospital, an arrow tip still lodged in his sternum.

“You are awake! My boy, you saved my daughter… I… can hardly believe it. Maria is still shaken up from the whole ordeal, but I am sure she will want to thank you for saving her from that mad man.” The mayor still acts like he is none the wiser, looking at you with shrewd eyes, but you can also tell he is genuinely grateful. He leans down to whisper in the thrall’s ear “I am still bound to your will. But for saving my daughter, I will gladly do your bidding.”

As your true self finishes up with his hunger, you set to work making it look as though the arrow had massacred the old folks. Writing “The Arrow” on the walls with the deceased’s blood. Under the cover of night, you fly back to your keep. While the thrall continues to act as puppet. The priest enters your room late at night, acting as healer as well as priest. You pretend to not notice him “accidently” spilling the glass of holy water on you from a drinking glass, and even conduct bedside mass. All of these things do nothing but drain and harm your actual form, while your puppet smiles and makes polite conversation. Having been satisfied, he takes his leave. Over the next couple of days, both you and your trusted thrall recuperate back home; enjoying the fact that you are now the town hero.

We've already made our vote by a landslide, but it will most likely aid us in developing that next.
>>
>>46912368
I like this idea. What kind of combat it is doesn't really matter to me; he's probably better suited for regular melee only, but I suppose we could teach him the dark arts of necromancy too. It'd be nice to have a proper general for our legions.
>>
To be honest, the graverobber really lucked out with us. We rise to greatness, and he, as our first servant, will rise wiht us. He's proven his worth a few time already. He's going to go much farther than if he never met us.
>>
>>46912534

A little bit of free will would also be a good reward.
>>
>>46912588
Mhm. >>46912368 is more geared towards what we can use him for, but I think he deserves a bit of will. We can always take it away after all.
>>
>>46912696

Also, there's no reason why we couldn't do both this thrall action, and our heavily voted transmutation action.
>>
Writing. Plot heavy post coming soon.

Impressed with his good job, you summon your first thrall; who now bares your striking features.

“While I controlled you. I must commemorate your devotion to duty. I would have struggled to control the other thralls, but you where willing to serve as best you could. For this, I name you the master of my armies, and I name you my double – enjoying all the benefits of my station during the day. You will live in the castle once it is finished, and you will enjoy routine of my blood. To keep you from losing your looks. Come, and receive your reward.” You take a claw from your hand, and run it across the area of wrist. Black blood oozes from the vain, and into the mouth of your thrall. This would give him a modicum of your strength and grace, but nothing on your level. He would also age slower, making your double keep up his appearance for many years. You are carful not to give him too much, mortals can become addicted to the euphoric effects of your blood, and ever more will trigger the transformation into a creature of the night. Bowing, he takes his leave, feeling for the first time that life was finally going his way.

You make arrangements for The Arrow’s body to be “buried” at your graveyard after his body is examined. No orders, and nothing tying him to his mysterious client. But you will enjoy defiling his corpse with experiments. You are unable to gain his soul, having already passed on to whatever happens to souls after they cross over. You invasion twisting his flesh into an ugly form that fits his nature. You tell your thralls to begin ordering laboratory supplies, both magical and scientific… you want a nice playroom…

More progress is made on the castle, added by more (non-thralled) workers from the town, as way of thanking you for risking your neck for Maria; who was well loved by all. But even the increased production does not dissuade your sadness, Maria has not visited you yet. You worry that perhaps she would never come… this thought drive you mad. Until one night, when you finally restored your health. You take to the skies and fly towards the town. Silently, crawl along the roof of the manor house. With just the power of shadows and your mental powers, you unlock the inside latch of her window. You can hear her slow breathing, the sound of her heart in her chest, and see the wet tear stained face. For a while, you are spell bound by how much she reminds you of your lost wife. But sensing your presence, Maria awakens.

“Marius? Is that.. is that you? What are you doing here?”

“I came to check on you my dear, I was worried… that the events of a few weeks ago might have disturbed you”

“I have done a terrible thing…I killed that man. I did it so easily, and…” She sobs resting her head on your chest. You embrace her, realizing the problem. She continues “I killed him. Even if he was going to kill us, how can God forgive me?”

“God? We who have killed to stay alive owe god nothing, and I would not want his forgiveness. You have crossed an important threshold my dear, one that few dare to cross.”

“You..You have killed Lord Marius?”

“Yes. I have, in fact many times. It is my very nature to want to live each night. Even if it means slaying another man to do so…I guess that makes me a monster. Does that frighten you?”

“Before. I might have been. But now… I’m not so sure”

This is good, victory will be so much sweeter if she turns willingly to vampirism, lets see if we can nudge her down that path a bit further, without revealing anything.

Speaking of which, are we going to have a hoard of mismatched undead abominations, or try and create 'classes' for our rank and file, such as flesh golems for shock infantry, ghouls for scouts etc.
>>
>>46913303
Classes I say. A large army requires organized production, which you can't do when everything is a work of art.

That said, we can always put our talents to work occasionally to make giant unique monsters
>>
>>46913303

Both. The classes will be sorted by how much creativity we put into making them disgusting abominations against the heavens.

You bend down, your eyes able to trace the lines of her neck…Soooo tempting. But you don’t feel right taking her now. You will give her the choice when the time is right. For now, you hold her. Stroking her hair, enjoying the sounds of her breathing. You use your hypnotic gaze to lull her into a deep and restful sleep. She slumps in your arms, though to you she weights less than a silk scarf. You gently place her back to her bed, and tuck her in. As quietly as you came, you leave. Slipping into the night. The next day, she would try to rationalize that last nights event where simply a confused dream. But no… she knows you where in her room, and consoled her at her most vulnerable.

You are content to simply allow the thralls and workers tend to the construction of the keep. Some industrious thralls even begin making rows in the earth for crops of corn and other vegetables. A stable is made for both livestock and the mechanical horses; though you still don’t have enough money to buy any livestock; machine or otherwise. You thought about taking the taxes from the people, but you think that people might begin to suspect something when none of the roads are paved. But you do order the mayor to begin sending new corpses to the old grave yard. By dead of night, carts with fresh corpses will be sent. Some older crypts are discreetly looted and sent as well. Once more of your powers return, you suspect that you will have many new troops of the undead to command.

Too big for a regular footsoldier. I propose things like pic related.

They don't have to match each other exactly of course, and it wouldn't fit with the theme if they did. But I think the bulk of the army should be humanoid and generally human sized, with various deformities.

Population needs updated methinks, a double and a mayor are important to track

Lets see about improving our technology, we might be able to speed up construction...

While we're waiting on the laboratory, I propose we begin planning out our experiments to create the first soldiers of our army.

Also, enthrall Bartholomew, and tell him to go about his business as usual when he's done here. He can give us information on other castles he's built and be our combat engineer later on.
>>
>>46913716
I'm voting for C
We need money and resources to continue to grow

Order of business:

1. Multiple classes of man/beast hybrids.

2. "Slimes" that are really just globs of melted man.

3. People ents.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. Naming tons of cool stuff we can make before we actually get to is the path to madness.

Not feeling very creative at the moment, I'll just update on Wednesday if that's cool with everyone. Also, I'm loving this 80's-synth/horrorcore stuff, but I wouldn't mind some gothic/classical stuff to, so I can stroke my edge-lord nature.

And there's Masquerade obviously.

You probably want to really go looking in the Russians if you want suitably dark sounding classical. Neither of these are properly atmospheric in my opinion, but they're in the basic direction.
