Blackness whirls around the edges of your perception like clouds on the periphery of a hurricane’s eye. But rather than pulling outwards the force is compressive. Every breath, every glimpse of light has to be forcefully sucked into your body as if trying to drink peanut butter through a straw. You’re dying. This is a dream, it couldn’t more obviously be a dream. It’s the embodiment of the word ‘nightmare’.“I-is anyone there?!” You manage to gasp.“Right behind you.” Akira appears, wearing a strange velvet hat with a long peacock’s plume draped off the side. “Greetings, young Hanako. I have come to be your guide through this treacherous nightmare world.”“R-really?”She laughs and pulls the hat off. “Nah. Just fucking with you. I’ve got no clue what’s going on.”“Um… Where did you get that hat?”“Oh. I took it from this guy.” She jabs her thumbs over at a mutilated pile of flesh behind her. “He was our guide.”…“I didn’t think this joke through.”Yan [/////////_] Dere Akira, get us the fuck out of here. “A-are you… the ‘real’ Akira?” You ask, unsure if this person is your actual friend or just another part of the nightmare. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. She shoots you a wry smile. “Well… that sort of depends on how you define ‘real’. If you’re asking ‘am I the person’ you know, then yes. But who’s to say that person was ‘real’?”… What. The darkness around you begins to distort before you can follow that.It takes the form of… Oh. Fuck.A painted-concrete hallway, covered with terrible finger-painting drawings. And alone in it is… you. Your younger self. This is an old memory. Not long after you got out of the hospital. You remember this day. The other kids kept shooting spitballs at the back of your neck for like an hour. Then you just got up and cried in the hallway.Akira silently pads around to look at the younger you, her expression difficult to read. “Does this memory have some special significance beyond the obvious, Hanners?”Yan [//////////] Dere (lie) Not really. You look at your former self… and a strange sense of pity washes over you. “To the old me, yes. But not anymore…” You answer Akira without looking up.Your life up until now was like a chrysalis. An unlife. Just a placeholder until the real you was ready to step in. And now that time has come. You have these memories but they belong to someone else.“Really?” She leans against the wall and turns a burning red eye over you. “In what way are you different?”You freeze. >[x] I’m not alone anymore.
You smile. “I’m not… alone anymore.” You look up at Akira. “My life back then was defined by being alone. Being an exile. That’s no longer the case… And it never will be again. I have love now… that’s what I was missing.”She tilts her head like a bird and smirks. “God… damn. I cannot believe you were able to say that with a straight face.” Then, as if accepting the answer, she leans back, closes her eyes and nods.“Still… letting the ones you love define you… That’s kind of nice.”Then with a bang which makes both of you jump, the environment distorts again and reconfigures. This time, the scenery is unfamiliar to you. You’re in the middle of a grassy field in the shade of a willow tree, where a young blonde girl is kneeling on the ground bawling her eyes out.“It’s all my fault! It’s all my fault!” She screams over and over again. An older woman, the girl’s mother, finishes making a grave marker out of popsicle sticks and pats her arm. “There, there. We can get you another parakeet… ”“But I hurt this one! I didn’t mean to! I seriously didn’t mean to! It was… It was LIVING! And I hurt… I hurt…” She breaks down into sobs again.“It was an accident de-” CRACK.The adult Akira walks up and smacks a machete into the skull of her younger self.“… Does that count as suicide?”!!!Then, with a gasp, you wake up.You’re back in your bedroom, staring up at the ceiling. Your heart still racing, you pull yourself up and take a few breaths to recompose yourself.Yan [//////////] Dere …What was the meaning of that dream? Why was Akira there? >>46865652> …What was the meaning of that dream?
… Lilly might have a better grasp as to what the FUCK that was. So you head over to her room. After using the ancient ritual of Scottish Shiv Tea to reanimate her, you relay the story of your dream.“Hm… That story of Akira’s is likely the time she accidentally killed her pet parakeet and was basically in mourning for the rest of the month.”“S-she wasn’t always… Um… … … ‘Like she is now’?”Lilly sighs. “No. Akira started acting strange when she was… about eleven? Either way, I was young so I only remember a few bits and pieces of it.” (dere) Lilly seems… inordinately sad when she speaks those words… Why…? Your thoughts are disrupted as she pats your head. “But I’m glad you’re making a change for the better, at least. Hisao’s important to you, hm?”You blush and bow your head at the unexpected quip. Obviously Lilly can’t see you blush, but she knows. Somehow. She always knows. You sigh. It’s nice that you can be so close to her… Even if you can’t love her romantically.“So? Are you ready for Akira’s first day?”Your eyes go wide. “P-pardon?”Lilly giggles. “My, my. I didn’t mention? Akira took the job as the substitute music teacher after the old one’s tragic suicide!”“S-shouldn’t they have appointed a licensed teacher?”“They did. But late last night she also committed suicide.”Of course. Well, no time like the present, taking a deep breath, you prepare to greet the day.Yan [//////////] Dere Go find Akira and talk about your dream. Go hang out with Miki and Suzu. Go stalk Hisao.

This is an opportunity. Leaving Shizune to argue with Emi via proxy, you head over to the Student Council room. It’s locked. But it’s also on the first floor, so you just loop back around and crawl in through the window.Inside are a slew of games, papers, the usual stuff.(dere) It’s camouflage. Some of these papers are out of date by over a year – seemingly scattered around just for the sake of being there. You begin probing the desks…?!?Inside one of the large drawers, you discover a massive cache of photos of Hisao, his medical records, the backstory which the writers were too stoned to actually mention in the main game. It’s a motherload of intel. There’s also a large cache of surprisingly-decent sketches of Hisao wearing glasses, plus little heart doodles with Hisao and Shizune’s names written in them.It is everything in you not to burn these. Unfortunately, you need to leave this room the way you entered it.Without the time to fully read these, you blindly start snapping pictures with your camera-phone.By the time you’re done, the noise in the hallway has increased significantly. Class is close to starting…. Which means StuCo may be close to returning… But you haven’t sifted through everything yet…Yan [//////////] Dere Take one more fast look. Retreat.

>>46867653>>46867640my point is what we found now isn't even enough to put our intel on the same level as theirs, since we didn't manage to find everything. if we leave early, we might miss out on finding the one thing that will put us on equal footing, if not give us an edge over, the StuCo.ideally we'd need to find something, a lead or some incriminating stuff, to help us take them out. we have the dere to spot such a thing, now all we need is a pair of balls.

>>46868034I find it more likely that we weren't meant to have that intel, and this end was decided when we chose to search the Student Council room instead of interrupting them.
>>46867994Too abrupt.Damn, I'm shocked
>>46867994J U S TUST
>>46868076Or something we could find would negate Hisao's affection and turn him against Shizune. It makes sense that there would be some way to manipulate them befitting our Dere nature.
>>46867994Hisao is a stupid. The hell, the deaf bitch? So suddenly? We should have gone on a full lesbian Lilly-Akira threesome
Akira Dojo 312: SubterfugeShizune attained victory by buffing her affection with Hisao until he confessed to her. Since everyone was adopting a passive 'wait and see' approach, the combat penalty she got from re-speccing to -dere wasn't that great a weakness. Dere players need to carefully balance 'subterfuge' against 'time with Hisao' and you guys were way too light on the latter one. Think about playing 'yan' if you'd rather not waste time with Hisao. Otherwise, rethink your balance.Options for reload:>>46866603>>46866099>>46865652
>>46868264RELOAD: >>46866603>[X] Get out there yourself.all the others don't keep Shizune and Hisao from getting together or him from confessing to her.
>>46868264Vote on options now please.
>>46868264Reload>>46866603I'd rather not give everyone more chances to re spec and we need to start hammering in some time between Hisao and Shizune. She's playing a Rush Deck it seems.
>Options for reload:>>46866603>>46866099>>46865652The first choice lets us interrupt Hisao and Shizune's time alone or find the blackmail material FluffandCrunch was talking about. The second is interesting because changing that goes against Akira's advice of spending more time with Hisao, which means there is some potential for Yan strategy if we go with Akira or Miki&Suzu.I have no idea what can be done with the third choice.
>>46866982Now is your chance!Reload >>46866099
>>46868264Voting for >>46866603 on the reload. The other two aren't going to have any immediate effect on our MC Affection score, and choosing alternate options towards a more Yan approach is just going to dilute the full Dere score we've been working towards for the past several threads.
Well, that wasn't supposed to be the end of the thread, but based on the fact that we've had four votes in fifteen minutes, it looks like everyone just rage-quit.So I guess I'll just start the thread on this vote next time. Think your options over.>>46866603>>46866099>>46865652>>46864755WILL HANAKO BE SUCCESSFUL IN HER QUEST FOR TRUE LOVE?[Part 10 Cliffhanger]

>>46868640Thanks Akira. Despite the bad end, this was a good thread, with great discussion all around.
>>46868640thanks again, it was fun
>>46868741Oh yeah, I forgot to mention - I'm sending out all alerts as group chats now because our subscriber base has reached a level where individual replies is unsustainable. So get in the steam group. I sent every subscriber an invite, but if you didn't get one, it's a public group anyways, so anyone can join. Rock on.
>>46868855Might want to use announcements. They don't get as much space for flavor text, but it makes sure that everyone sees it.
I never get in on the voting because I'm always gone or busy when Akira sends the word out but I try to catch up after the fact.Vote better you stupid faggots.
>>46871347It's always Saturday at about 7pm.I don't have Steam and I always show up on time.
>>46871510Yeah, weekends are the days I'm DOING stuff. ;_;
Ok. New plan. We backtrack to >>46864755 rack up as much Yan as we can, and stab Shizune to death with a sharpened shovel. Sound good?
>>46871842But how many extra moves would that give the enemy?
>>46868640Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooonot the cliffhangerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrseriously, thanks as always... and we'll have an hard job to do next week, 'cause it seems we have really a little space to move to avoid shitzoonXhisao happening
>>46871913Considering it's near the start of this thread, probably not much.
>>46873497Akira said that for every choice we go back, our rivals get an extra move.
