You are Sireyi Valyenya, paladin, goddess, Queen of the nation of Oreia.

“Mama, Mama up!” demands Salicia, seeing Neyma in your arms and with Fulima off with Vivi she doesn't want to be left out.

You bend down and pick her up, despite the being so big you wonder how you can fit through doors.

“You know” says Sofia casually “you never really hear about the unexpected benefits of having magical strength – most women would have groaned a lot doing that.”

You raise an eyebrow at Sofia “Any time you want to help...” you say. You have one child on either hip and you're days away from having another three to look after.

Your family is sat around in the grounds of the Barony: the sun is shining down on you all. Viviken is chasing Fulima through the trees and Jal is trying to teach Milerna how to pick pockets.

“But why Mama Jal?” asks Milerna “why not just ask them to show me what they've got?”

“Because they could say no Mili” says Jal.

“But when I'm a palading they'll have to do as I ask or that means they're bad” says Mili “so why...”

You tune out Jal explaining the morality of stealing. It's a nice afternoon and you don't want to spoil it.

“Ok, come here child” Sofia takes Neyma off you, and the two of you wander around the grounds together talking, holding a daughter apiece.

So did you hear the news?” Sofia says casually.

“What news?” you counter, as Salicia demands you hand her a brightly-coloured flower that has caught her attention.

Sofia just gives you a raised eyebrow.

“Yes I heard” you say “I'm the reason it took them so long. I mean if they send a fleet of ships to invade what did they think was going to happen?”

Sofia doesn't ask how many, you can feel her not asking how many ships the storms you conjured sank.

“But now it's with them?” ventures Sofia.

“Yeah” you sigh “and it pulled apart any storm I could summon. They'll be landing on the Eskian coastline in a matter of weeks.”
>>
“What do the Eskians think of that?” asks Sofia “I mean, there was talk of them going over to the Lord of Life.”

“There was” you say “and a few of them might still turn but Kalti and the Lord of Life apparently have history – pretty bad history according to Yerra. Eskia will fight them.”

“And the rest?” Sofia says “I mean you and the Azure Empress expanding your borders, you sweeping through the Hells looking for more succubi – neither was popular.”

“I spent a great deal of time with the rulers of various nations” you say “and the Oreian diplomatic corps has been a great help. I don't think I've changed anyone's feelings on the matter but they all understand the necessity of what I did. More succubi means more soldiers, and a pacified tribal lands means no orcs and beastmen marching for the Lord of Life.”

“Pacified?” Sofia asks “Between the two of you you only control what, a third of the Tribal Lands?”

“About that” you say “but we've both made sure that the rest of the tribes are fractious and disunited. Yes a few thousand may join the Lord of Life but there are no powerful warchiefs except those who owe fealty to the Azure Empress. Really if we had a few more years we'd just conquer the whole place and be done with it.”

“If you do, you know I'll help however I can” comments Sofia, shifting Neyma from one hip to another “I'm nothing if not generous – I let you use my portal network after all.”

You snort “and charged for every item that came through them, darling wife.”

“Business is business” she says demurely.

You feel a kick in your midsection and you rub your hand on your belly in an absent minded way.

Sofia gives you a knowing look “Soon huh?”

“Very” you agree “certainly long before we have to go to war.”

“And will Yerra's plan work?” She asks, suddenly serious.
>>
“I have no doubt he can send the Lord of Life to another plane and trap it there” you say “But...Yerra has kept a lot of what he's doing secret but I know it'll rely upon the Lord of Life walking in to the trap – and it must have considered we'd try to beat it some way. So maybe its too confident, or it expects to spot whatever we try and avoid it.”

“What would you do if we lost?” Sofia asks you sombrely.

As a result of Oreia trading through Dalvin's network of interplanar portals, the barony earns a great deal in import dues.

As a result of your actions, Oreia gain the following:
1 million increase in population
2 million gold bonus to treasury
7 dragons

As a result of the Azure Empress' actions the Empire gain the following:
500,000 increase in population
1 million gold bonus to treasury
8 dragons

As a result of Sireyi's actions, Dalvin gains the following:
100,000 gold bonus to treasury

Feel free to discuss realm spending throughout thread, will call for a vote if there is no clear consensus.

Huh, nice. Do you think we have the time to build a airship or two with that?

We probably want a sizeable number of powerarmored troops too.
>>
>>46308009
We could now afford a planar trading circle of our own, Dalvin woild still profit from goods going from Oreia to Dornmer so it shouldn't cut too deep into her own income.

We definitly want airships as mobile bases to fight against the LoL, in addition to significantly upgrading our troops with angel bonds (wonder if succubi can make those after the experience with Elahi) and power armour.

Some mining would be more useful too.

Sure, but the most important question is: what will you name it?

Oh and in case anyone missed it: this is the last thread before 6 month hiatus.

And when Paladin of Joy returns in October 2016 then the quest as a whole will end during that stretch (expected to be December but might run over a bit, or even end early).

“We won't lose” you say firmly, confidently “we'll beat the Lord of Life and then go back to wrangling with politicians and nobles, and signing bits of parchment that our secretaries put in front of us.”

Sofia shakes her head “That's fine for the troops and politicians” she says “but I know you Sireyi: what if we lose?”

There's a long pause before you answer “then we save as many as we can” you say quietly “I'll make sure our family gets to another plane first but we'll get as many out as we can.”

Sofia doesn't respond to that for a long time. Fortunately the silence is broken by Salicia declaring that she was hungry, and trying to fly out of your grip. You put her down and Sofia puts Neyma down and they both rush over to the long wooden tables where food is being served.

Lunchtime with 5 children is chaotic and messy and full of arguments, questions about what a food is actually made of, claims that they're full after only taking a few bites followed by demands for dessert.

Once your children have eaten, and returned to running around the grounds, climbing treets, chasing guards and hiding in bushes, you get the chance to talk to Isla.

Isla is watching Fulmina shooting small bolts of lightning at bundles of leaves and twigs thrown into the air by Viviken. She's hitting about one in ten, but partly because Vivi keeps trying to fake her out, or throwing them in odd directions.

Isla has a content, peaceful look on her face.

“You look happy” you state the obvious, as you pull up a chair next to her.

“Well I am” she says “it's not often we get the whole family together, the kids don't get much of a chance to play together after all.”

You feel guilty about that, but decide not to be a martyr and say that it's all your fault “No they don't” you say “and they deserve to.”

“I wonder how many more times we'll have this chance” Isla says, looking dour.
>>
“That's a bit fatalistic” you say “Nothing has been decided yet and we still have a good chance of beating the Lord of L-”

“Oh not that” says Isla “I mean they'll grow up, and even if we win, we might not be here to see them grow up. I know I shouldn't worry, but I do.”

After Paladin of Joy ends I plan to run another quest.

I haven't yet decided what I'll run, but I have a number of ideas.

One of those in the running is the adventures of Teenage Mili.

Other than that, Mini Paladin will come to an end at the end of Paladin of Joy
>>
>>46308713
Interesting, I had thought that announced crossover indicated you wanted to fold Mili into Egwens.
Though a Mili quest would be even better.
>>
Going with grow up and record messages + letters

Seemed to be a tie between this and making special items for them

I kinda like the idea of making heirlooms that have recorded messages.
I mean, in the unlikely case of them actually dying a magic sword/wand/whatever that offers adivse by your mothers in times of need sounds like a great item.
>>
>>46308811
>I mean, in the unlikely case of them actually dying a magic sword/wand/whatever that offers adivse by your mothers in times of need sounds like a great item.

I worry it could be too much 'I don't know what to do, I'll ask the plot item what I should do rather than deciding myself'
>>
>>46309063
Well, you decide what sort of "times of need" count for activating the item.
>>
>>46309063
In the case the function of the times ever matter, in a Mili quest I guess, it doesn't have to be actiatable on demand.
Only something that triggers on its own, to prevent exactly that effect, I bet Sireyi and her wives wouldn't want their children dependent on their simulacrums advice either.
>>
“We will get to see them grow up” you say, leaning over to Isla and kissing her on the cheek “we're going to beat the Lord of Life and years later we'll have thrilling tales to tell our great-grandchildren.”

Isla gives a half-smile at that “I suppose” she says.

“If you're worried though” you say “write down some of your thoughts for our children, or make a message for them with a spell – so they can always see you when they want to.”

“An imprinted personality recording could respond to simple queries” says Isla, taking a small book from her pocket and making notes “with specific messages in response to specific queries as well as acting with some intelligence...” She soon forgets her worries as she designs a magical guide for your children.

You leave and wander over to Jallarial, standing underneath a tree as Neyma and Salicia both climb up the trunk and take turns leaping from a branch.

You watch them drift down one after the other, flapping their wings frantically but not quite able to fly yet.

Jal is stood beneath them yelling encouragement and wandering in circles, ready to catch them if either falls from the sky.

“Having fun Jal?” you ask.

“Yeah loads” she says, not taking her eyes from the two winged girls “Mili can't pick pockets to save her life though.”

“Well it takes years to pick up those skills” you say mildly, deciding not to add that Jal's upbringing was a lot more dangerous than your daughters upbringing.

“Are they gonna be safe when we're all away fight?” Jal asks suddenly, her eyes still skywards.

“We'll be keeping them as safe as we can” you say “they will have people around them ready to whisk them to one of the Heavens at any point when we're away.”
>>
“Good” says Jal “say love, not being all maudlin or anything, but if yer was ter not come back and stuff, can I be yer temp'ry High Priestess an' stuff?” her tone is light and joking but...you can tell she's worried.

Not to worry, and she can be high priestess

It's Happening!
>>
“I am most definitely coming back” you say to Jal. You know you can't really lie to your wives, they know you too well. But sounding confident helps you and them...

“And if I don't” you say casually “then sure, High Priestess Jal it is.”

Jal smirks and you realise that now you really do need to come back alive from this fight, no matter what. If you didn't you might have a very...unusually holy scripture after all.

Neyma drops out of the sky and plummets towards the ground just as Salicia takes flight. Jal dives to catch Neyma and you take over watching Salicia as she flaps in circles, trying to determine which direction she's going to drift in.

You play with the both of them for some time, even flying up and giving them pointers, until they eventually tire of the game and go to build dens out of branches and brush. Jal takes a break and Sofia steps forwards to build dens.

As you watch her go Ophinus flits around, watching Fulmina trying to control gusts of winds and tiny twisting funnels of moving air. She can get them going, but controlling them for more than a few seconds is beyond her.

“Creator” Ophinus says, circling around you “might I ask a question?”

“Of course you can Ophinus” you say “how can I help?”

“I have heard the other angels in your service talking of the war against the Lord of Life” he says “many are confident and expect victory but some fear that victory will mean compromising their morals.”

“How so?” you ask the tiny angel, your first angel.

“The Lord of Life does not value any life” Ophinus explains “but it knows that we do, so if he left commanders a choice between saving innocent lives and securing military objectives, the angels are worried that out of necessity many of the mortals they will work alongside would be left with terrible choices.”
>>
You ponder how to answer that.

“Morals and values should be adhered to even when it's difficult” you say to Ophinus “I can understand why the angels are worried but sometimes you have to trust the people you work with to make the right choices. The Lord of Life will no doubt try to use our respect for others against us and whilst I would always want my angels to try to protect as many people as possible, I know that they will sometimes be faced with impossible choices. I trust them to make the right decisions, and they will learn to trust others in the same way.”

Ophinus puzzles over this and then says “Thank you Creator” and flys off to watch over Fulmina again.

You see Ebonsong heading off into the woods, no doubt to join in the den building. You tag along with her.

“Thought you were a little old for building dens Ebby” you say teasingly, falling into step beside her.

Ebonsong gives you a snooty look “I'm just here to look after my neices” she informs you “I certainly don't like playing games.”

Right...which is why she eagerly helps Salicia build up a huge den as you split your time and attention between Salicia and Neyma. After a while Ebby stands back to admire her work as Salicia scampers around her den.

“Big Sis” Ebonsong asks hesitantly “when we go to fight, are we going to face them on the beaches and stuff or fight in Eskia?”

“Well I have another meeting with the representatives from the various nations to discuss that in a few days” you say “so right now I couldn't say. Denying the enemy a chance to land is certainly useful but Eskia itself have a low living population and not a lot of food stored. As many of its people are undead they don't actually grow a lot of food or raise many animals compared to other nations. We could end up with a very long, and easily disrupted supply chain. On the other hand a retreat through Eskia means we could starve their army, and slow them down – there won't be much to subsist on and every day in hostile lands will cost them troops in all sorts of ways.”

“And which way do you think is best sis?” Ebby asks.

By default Power Armor is just made of enchanted steel and such. If anons are willing to spend 500 DP, that could be upgraded to Abyssal Brass or Celestial Iron. I'd recommend Brass, as our army is made of succubi, but I don't expect many to want to go for that heavy of an investment.

>Don't we have ~2000 DP left? Seems worth it to me.
Well, it won't force a change in spending if people do want to go for it, but it is a big expenditure, so I'm reluctant to throw it in without a proper vote. As such, there will be one after Minidin.

>How much stronger in the combat calculation are PAs though?
No hard numbers, but the benefits it grants seem worth it and I'm sure Pally will make it more than worth it's cost in terms of combat aptitude.

>>46310658
Well, the armor says it increases all of it's bonuses when used by an appropriate sort of entity, I assume that means the ones that aren't associated with the particular type of magical material as well: damage, damage reduction, speed, general magic resistance, etc.

Making it on a per-case basis to match the type of entity the suit is for is probably better, I didn't anticipate many Redeemed in the army for some reason.

>>46310781
>Does the Stormsilver Airship expend all our supply?
Discussing how much it takes with Pally, I realize that I spent 150,000 extra to buy it directly when I could've just used the blob.

The blob is ~200 DP worth of Stormsilver, so enough for eight airships or two hundred suits of powered armor. Well, ~175 now.

>Having a bit of powered infantry with that seems also useful.
The ones that would receive the most benefit from that would be Storm Empowered. May want to consider spending DP to upgrade the forest and increase the number we receive each year.
>>

>The ones that would receive the most benefit from that would be Storm Empowered. May want to consider spending DP to upgrade the forest and increase the number we receive each year.
I would do that, just alone for the awesome factor of Sireyi having her own StormGuard of Stormblessed succubi.
>>
>>46311049
Holy shit the StormGuard sounds rad as hell.
>>
>>46311049
At least I like the idea of Sireyis guard being upgraded, and possibly extended, and giving them a storm theme would make them feel more "neutral" than Iron or Brass.
>>
“I think we should fight them on the beaches” you say “we can deal with a stretched supply line; if they get a solid presence on land then even after the Lord of Life is defeated getting rid of them could take a very long time. I've seen the size of the Lord of Life's forces and we're going to be outnumbered twenty to one. He's stripped every able-bodies person from all the countries he's conquered, leaving the lands effectively helpless. But the sheer size of his army means that most of his forces are not elite soldiers, they're conscripts. They'll crumble in tough situations, like sieges or fighting knee-deep in the surf.”

Ebby looks sceptical “but still with all those numbers, won't they push us back?”

“Eventually they will” you concede “but ultimately the armies are going to be a sideshow: defeating the Lord of Life is going to be the main task. Once it's gone then we can try to negotiate with the leaders of the remaining forces so we hopefully won't need to defeat them in open battle – doing so would result in a lot of people dying and-” You pause, as things shift and gurgle inside you.

“Sis?” asks Ebby, looking concerned “are you ok?”

“I'm fine” you say, breathing quickly “Ebby do me a favour and get the midwives would you, I think, ah, I think it's time!”

You take to the skies and head back to the castle as quickly as you can, not trusting your legs at this particular time.

Ebby flies as fast as she can, yelling, and your family springs into action...

You are Milerna Jalweyen, angel-blooded and born paladin of Konig. You are 9 years old, and are attending paladin training at a church of Konig school.

http://pastebin.com/RE8br4uf

It's been weeks since Headmistress Ophilian took over and in that time a lot of the Instructors have left, but more have come to replace them – much nicer ones too!

Those you see with Konigs blessing are following most of the vrtues and many are following all of them. You and your friends having been working hard too.

Although the newer teachers are nicer, they are still strict and demand a lot from all of you. But there is still time for fun, like now for example...

“So the dungeon itself is more of a tower” explains the instructor “the first room is just a few goblins, the next floor is a trap you need to get past, and the top floor is the battle with the evil wizard” he shows you a rough map of the practise dungeon you and your friends will be going through today. It's all made of illusions and stuff, so you can't get hurt.

“So” says the instructor, a short fat man “which of you are going through first? Remember you can only have four team members.”

You look at your friends: everyone volunteers, Even Sera is with you, though she's a little wary around you.

“Oooh me, pick me!” Tomas jumps up and down in excitement.

“Me, Chesi, Thomas and Jenny” you say, pointing to your friends as you call out their names “We'll go first.”

Gilly pulls a face but doesn't say anything: Sera and Michael seem content to watch.

“Very well” says the instructor “now get your padded armour on and pick your weapons” he indicates a large rack of weighted wooden weapons for you.

Once you're all ready, you head towards the door that will take you to the first level of your fake dungeon.

“Four goblins, four of us” says Thomas “so we just take one each right?”

Jenny says “Um, I'm not a very good fighter, can I partner up with someone?”

“Pfft, four goblins” says Chesi “Mili can handle them all on her own.”

As the door slowly swings open, what's the plan?

I'm not sure if you forgot, but Jenny isn't exactly secure in having her own opinion, she likely volunteered just alone because everyone else did.

Biased interpretations of probability do not make a good argument.
>>
“Stick together” you say to everyone “work as a team, in case one of us isn't doing so good, the others can cover for them.”

You head through the door at a measured pace, close together with swords and shields. In the small room ahead the goblins are sat around a table but as soon as you come in they all jump up and grab weapons, one throwing a javelin at you that glances off your shield.

They also kick over the table and chairs and spread out but you stick together, not taking the bait.

Eventually they come at you from all directions at once. You and Chesi easily defeat your foes: their curves swords banging onto your shields again and again, as you finish them off with a few quick stabs.

Thomas duels with his few a few seconds and then tries to rush around and overturned chair, but ends up tripping over it instead. As the goblin raises its sword to 'kill' him you come up behind it and slam your own blade into its back.

Jenny is slowly pushed back by her goblin, retreating as it attacks her relentlessly. Chesi comes to her aid however and together they trade blows with it, and eventually defeat it.

All of the goblins dissolve when killed. You take a few moments to get your breath back and then a voice coming from all around you says “go through the door ahead and up to the next floor please.”

“This is fun!” exclaims Thomas, his face red “can we go again after the others have had their turn?”

You shrug “Maybe, I guess” and head for the door on the opposite side of the room.

“Thanks Chesi” says Jenny quietly behind you “I'm not very good at this.”

“Stick close to me” Chesi says “real close, night and day - I'll guard your body.”

“Chesi c'mon!” you say, leading your team up the stairs.
>>
“Chesi c'mon!” you say, leading your team up the stairs.

The next room has a door opposite where you came in, and beside that is a level. In the middle of the room is a big spiky ball on a chain, swinging slowly in circles. As soon as you step over the threshold it swings violently towards you, and you backpeddle just out of its reach. Did its chain get longer as it did that?

“What do we do for this one?” asks Thomas.

“Get to the lever and pull it I think” says Jenny.

“But how?” asks Chesi “if we go in there it could hit us.”

“We could all rush it” suggests Thomas “it can't get us all.”

“Or some of us could tease it” suggests Jenny, “and stay by the door whilst someone else tries to run through the room.”

“Chesi you run over and pull the lever” you direct your friend “we'll try and keep its attention.”

“Why me?” Chesi asks “why not Thomas, he's dumb enough to do this.”

“Hey!” protests Thomas.

“Chesi” You say, trying not to get annoyed with her “please?”

“Fine, fine” says Chesi and sets herself to run. You and Thomas both head out of the door in separate directions for a few steps, before darting back.

As the giant ball comes swinging at Thomas, Chesi sets off running across the room.

Once you and Thomas are out of the door again it changes direction, heading for Chesi, but once again you both jump into the room and it swings around, heading for the two of you.

You manage to keep its attention split between all of you long enough for Chesi to reach the lever and pull it, causing the chain to pull the ball upwards and hold it tightly against the ceiling. You head for the door next to Chesi.

As you're halfway across the room, Chesi flips the lever again with a grin...but nothing happens.

“What are you doing?” demands Thomas “you could have dropped it on us!”

“I just wanted to see what would happen” giggles Chesi “boring, let's go face the wizard.”

With a grumbling Thomas and a nervous Jenny you all head up to the final encounter and burst out into a comfy looking study where an old man is sat in a chair with his feet up and his socks off, warming his feet by the fire, he's wearing mage robes and smoking a pipe, he has a long white beard.

He stares at you as you come in. You all stare back.

“Uh, aren't we supposed to fight you?” asks Thomas.

“I suppose so...” he says “but I've been casting spells at you young ruffians all day, how about a nice riddle game? Why don't you have a seat on the sofa” He indicates a long comfortable-looking sofa with a table in front of it.
>>
“And how about a drink too” he draws a wand from his pocket and waves it: cups full of watered-down wine appear on the table, as well as a plate of cookies, freshly baked by the smell of them.

Well it is really warm in here, and you do feel tired...

You lower your weapons just a bit “say your riddle” you say “but we're not eating or drinking anything, and we're not taking any seats” you hold your arm out to block Thomas as he goes to sit down. Mama Jal didn't raise a sucker.

“As you wish” says the wizard “for my first riddle, when is a door, not a door?”

Jenny rolls her eyes “when its a jar – that's not a riddle that's just a bad joke.”

“Hmph!” says the wizard, “what's your riddle?”

“I know one!” says Chesi “I have rivers without water, towns without people...”

The wizard isn't very good at riddles, you beat him after three goes, but after each riddle you feel sleepier and sleepier, and by the time you give the last answer you're all curled up together on the couch...you've no idea how you got there.

You rest your head on Chesi's shoulder as Thomas cuddles up to her on the other side. Jenny is stretched out with her head in your lap.

The wizard slips a warm blanket over you as he admits “I don't know the answer to that last riddle child, but I don't need to, sleep well – I'm sure your instructor will have some advice when you wake about attacking wizards before you think or something equally muscle-brained.”

You wonder how he cast the spell without you noticing...

>>46313558
I'm going with 30. They're all receiving powered armor, it's just that only some of them are getting the full benefit right now.

>>46313577
Getting it to 10 is manageable, that's 35 DP and could easily have happened at some point over the year.

Getting it to the point where it empowers the entire royal guard right now would take 535 DP, and there are not that many days in a year.

Every extra person per year after the 10th is 25 DP instead of 5.

>>46313850
What allows Blue to have a so much larger army with only twice the Upkeep anyway?

Troops are a lot cheaper per unit, due to being just beastmen and orcs, compared to Oreia who are all potent supernatural being in their own right.

Looking over this, I'm seeing a few errors due to some last minute Storm Guard additions and changes and such. Need to correct those.

A mix of war totems, which are an orc/beastman civilization construction that lowers her cost and upkeep, and most of her units being cheap and low maintenance.

I kind of want to make a short story about a new Empowered Storm Guard proving herself to her superiors. Kind of a coming of age story for a young(ish) Succubus from an impoverished clan. (More socially than financially)

Cannot actually figure out how the Azure Empress got her costs so low. I thought it was war totems, but looking closer, the reductions she has are a bit too much for that. I'll talk to Pally about it, I'm probably missing something obvious.

If anons don't care, that spending can just be done behind the scenes, provided anons don't object. The plan is to invest almost entirely in military, with some Trade to offset upkeep if it gets out of control.

Anyway, Sofia prelim, largely military spending, though I picked up the schools as well for the side benefits and a bunch of Spies for defensive purposes (mostly). Not totally sure how the Konig discount interacts with Powered Armor cost multipliers, Mages or Airships, decided to ignore it for them for the time being. If this results in retroactive gold, it'll go towards more military units.

Sofia is really arming up, any way we could use some of the Oreian stormsilver for her airship?
>>
>>46316540
>Cannot actually figure out how the Azure Empress got her costs so low
I think the fact that her 1 infantry unit represents a mok beastmen or orc, compared to Sireyis 1 infantry unit which represents a veritable demon with a range of supernatural powers, is reason enough.
>>
>>46316645
Yeah but why do those take more money?
I guess oreia might just have a higher expected standard of living, or at least a more expensive one.
>>
>>46316645
I'm not saying there's no basis for it, I'm saying I need the math bits for how it's deducted and what it applies to and I can't find those.

>I'm assuming that perk only comes into play if the ruler is remotely willing to use it now, though I can remove it if you'd rather. It's mostly just there for completing the set.
No, I think we can trust Sofia to not go on a mindcontrol tyranny spree as long as Sireyi and Jal are around.

I was just wondering since you hadn't purchased it for Oreia as far as I could see and ethical issues with that part was the only reason that immediatly came to mind.
>>
>>46317129
>It's already there, actually.
Not as far as I can see. Can't find any Bard entry under Oreias part.
>>
>>46317129
>>46317227
Nevermind, I just found you just purchased it, my bad.
>>
>>46317194
I didn't recommend it with Oreia because Succubi already have a natural aptitude for it and because it's one of the less combative magic schools, so it takes a back seat compared to things that increase our economic or military power with the coming war.
>>
>>46317350
>because Succubi already have a natural aptitude for it
For me that would be a reason to buy it first, since I figure giving succubi formal education in something they have natural aptitude for would just make them even better.
>>
>>46317350
What happened to that mining deal with Blue anyway?
>>
>>46317391
Before I had misgivings about it due to the "mind rape your own citizens" 'perk' listed with it, this year it took a backseat due to not being very useful in outright war and not adding any genuinely new functionality to our forces.

If it really bugs you, I can knock something small off Oreia's spending to get the necessary gold. It's incredibly cheap due to having a Coven, IIRC.

>>46317553
If I had to guess, Pally and I both forgot about it. Since the deal was, IIRC, for Bluey to be the one that establishes that actual mines and her spending not being done yet, this can easily be remedied by just having that be part of her taxes.
>>
>>46317553
Probably got pulled out, since it was part of the story that dealt with preparing for the LoL it doesn't really serve any purpose anymore when Pally decided to cut away most of that to finish up next cycle.
>>
>>46317689
>If it really bugs you
Nah, it was more idel curiosity and I think the things we did spend money on are more important right now.
>>
>>46317692
>>46317692
>to cut away most of that to finish up next cycle
Its a pretty huge shame most of those sideplots will never get a proper resolution now.
>>
>>46317755
I just hope he doesn't lose interest in PRQ too, because there is no way to properly resolve that one anytime soon.
>>
>>46317755
I doubt any of them will get a proper resoultion if any at all.
If we're lucky some like the enemy god and maybe some of the hostile demon lords will show up as the LoLs minivillian squad, rather than actually being the center of their own arc as they really should have been. but thats about it.

The continent is fairly small.
>>

Realm size refers more to prosperity and importance than literal size, Oreia is much smaller than say, Dornmer, but has nearly the same population already. And its population are potent supernatural beings instead of normal humans.
So its simply important far beyond its actual size.
