Welcome to A Song of Revenge and Gold: House Malroy Quest. In which you take the reins of a House of storied glorious past since Aegon’s Conquering, but whose fortunes have taken a turn for the worse in the doom that Robert’s Rebellion brought. You are Brynden Malroy, second son to Lord Vamos Malroy and Lady Esemella Hayford and the last living heir to Steadhold and House Malroy. The year is 285AC, two years after the Rebellion and a year after your return to Westeros.

House Malroy is a pre-genned House designed around the idea of a story within the Crownlands of a House fiercely loyal to the Targaryens and their attempts to live in this new world after Robert’s Rebellion. Lord Brynden Malroy is as well pre-genned but will take direction from the players in his ways and how he develops himself further. This Quest will be moderately more story driven than others of its kind, but the development of the House and her lands will take just as much importance.

If you’ve played one of the many Quests within the ASoIaF setting the rules of the SIFRP system should be known. I will be using the Game of Thrones edition, as well as a few of the expansions namely OOSP and a few house rules which will be explained as we come to them. If you have questions about how things work or why certain actions are taken I can explain them as we go along. In truth this is a learning experience for me as well.

Can we save Oberyn from dieing like a bitch if the story gets to Tyrion's trial?
>>
>>46303217
Can you tell us how it is going with your RL group ?

Are they still following here and what do they think so far ?

It should be easy to convince Dontos to make Lysa Queen of love and beauty when he finds out what she will do to help, or atleast i hope.
>>
>>46303217
When we going to go over our other wedding gifts? Is that something we can kind of go over in brief now?
>>
If brynden and obella are rhaegar and elia i wonder who will become our Lyanna.
>>
>>46303260
That means we'd have to interact with Tyrion, and eww no
>>
>>46303178
>But really Victus is more like the Dornish than the Valyrians isn't he huh?
Least Valyrian of the Valyrian houses man. Even the longwaters are out there on the bay where they actually interact with the others. What made the first lord malroy different I have to wonder? Working theory: nobody else got along with him but he was loyal and useful so he got put off away from all the rest.
>>
>>46303310
I really hope it's just parallels and nothing more, I don't think dad could force us to go stray
>>
>>46303322
Maybe. That would be funny if dad confirmed that.

>>46303315
I repeat what I said last thread if we meet Tyrion. I don't hate you for being a midget, I loath you for being a Lannister.
>>
>>46303322
I just want to know how our magic horse bloodline got started.
>>
>>46303373
I'm kinda curious as well.
>>
>>46303178
>But really Victus is more like the Dornish than the Valyrians isn't he huh?

You know I suppose that's sort of true. He had a mixture of parental figures in his life. Mostly the Sons, but Brynden and Mason were the primary ones and they act very Westerosi comparably. He did pick up some of the local flavor though, I've never mentioned it but he has a bit of an accent.

>>46303260
I'm just too much of a sucker for canon. Not that my actions are doing it any justice.

>>46303261
>Can you tell us how it is going with your RL group ?
We just played over Skype yesterday. So pretty good, they're busy marching on Storm's End now to repel that 'false dragon' as they've taken to calling him.

>Are they still following here and what do they think so far ?
They are all really busy so only Robb Waters keeps up now. He still loses his shit whenever you guys fall for my traps. Not that have been many lately. Though paranoia at the wrong things is also a favorite of his.

>It should be easy to convince Dontos to make Lysa Queen of love and beauty when he finds out what she will do to help, or atleast i hope.

Dontos is prideful. He doesn't like to be 'bought' so to to speak but if it's for Isis he may be convinced.

>>46303269
You know I haven't really thought it over much. What do you guys want?

>>46303315
Ew dwarfs gross.

>>46303322
Technically speaking third most, the Longwaters are still a House of bastards. But yeah I guess a case could be made otherwise.

Ser Aeson Malroy was the... Fifth son of a third son I believe. I can't remember what I've said before. He left before the Doom because he heard some good shit about the Targaryens. Loyal to a blood fault, one of the first to be 'Knighted' and he was damn good at harrying enemies around the Rush. He got along with Aegon but didn't like King's Landing, he preferred the quiet, which is why he was happy to take his place in Steadhold.

Remember there was another Valyrian House in the Riverlands, the Qoherys.
>>
>>46303310
Obviously our Lyanna would be Cersei Lannister
>>
>>46303458
You just made me gag anon. Bad form. Bad form.

>>46303421
We should be able to mess with canon as House Malroy doesn't exist in a vacuum. But that doesn't mean we should have undue influence on other Lords and Ladies especially those higher than us.
>>
>>46303421
>You know I haven't really thought it over much. What do you guys want?

A new saddle, fancy clothes and a cloak!

Maybe a carriage for the family ? Obella doesnt like riding.
>>
>>46303458

>You know I haven't really thought it over much. What do you guys want?

>>
>>46303421
A few sets of Black Arrows with Silver feathering?
Nice new clothes in our House colours.
New horse saddle.
Bronze horse big enough to fit a man inside.
New bows for Arron and Victus.
>>
>>46303421
>You know I haven't really thought it over much. What do you guys want?
DEATH TO REDWARD FUCKING SHITS
>>
>>46303330
That's the plan. Not to mention Obella isn't as frail as Elia.

>>46303373
Aeson had some warg in him. Only a few Malroys have ever been able to go full warg, but it's a recessive gene that gets passed down primarily by the father seeing the pattern yet?

But the phrase, "they are our dragons" is attributed to Ser Aeson. He knew his shit when it came to horses and the seed from his original warged horse is strong. The Rare Bloodline is everything to the Malroys if they ever lost it or it was whipped out they would lose a part of themselves. Old magic runs deep.

>>46303482
I suppose that's true. I just like to tell my own story with the canon going on around in. That and I am not at all confident in my ability as a writer to do anything with major canon changes. Plus I don't want to get too fan-ficy.

>>46303485
Done. I'll make a list and make sure to include a full write up when I have the time, including the gifter. Lord Rowan sounds like a carriage man.

>>46303492
One more month until Master Yarson is here.

>>46303502
Quentyn already gave you guys the dosh for the dowry.

>>46303536
I could do something to that effect from Symon or Lucas. Easy enough.

>>46303543
Done and done, easy enough on those ones.

>>46303572
As to be expected. I can't believe how thoroughly you guys HATE Royce. Absolutely no backing down from it either. Straight "painful and elongated torture is my middle name" sort of hate. And my quest isn't even called Iron and HATE.
>>
>>46303421
Exotic horses, plenty of spice from Dorne, some Dornish upholstery, pageantry, wine, a bard, dosh, silks, some expensive knick knacks or Valyrian related shit we can't get our hands on in Westeros, ornate half plate, dresses, a dornish chef to go with the spices, books on different styles of horse breeding, etc. Mainly I want something I can't readily think of, something special like Oberyn's favor though maybe not as weighty
>>
>>46303604
Some Dothraki horses wouldn't be bad either.. Maybe from a certain banker?
>>
>>46303613
I can go through that list and get some stuff worked out I'm sure. Need to think of a good one from Noraro Aros.

I think Oberyn's favor was my big one for the wedding though. It has some serious weight behind it. I don't think I can match that really.

>>46303625
You know you still have some sitting around from when Illiad when to Myr. Just sort of got distracted by the whole losing a leg thing.

Man that was a roll of bad luck on his end. It's funny, if we didn't do the thread I was going to just gloss over Tychano Osten and his history with Brynden. But now we're here, minus a leg and plus a big bad.
>>
>>46303604
>but it's a recessive gene that gets passed down primarily by the father seeing the pattern yet?
Aww shit, are we a Warg? Is Victus?
>>
>>46303667
>You know you still have some sitting around from when Illiad when to Myr.

I know, you haven't mentioned them though
>>
>>46303672
It's totally Victus, but I'll play ignorant for now until it's revealed
>>
>>46303667
>>46303676
Goldsong ready for some Dothraki horse pussy?
>>
>>46303421
The longwaters are bastards, but unquestionably valyrian bastards, out on blackwater bay with the other valyrian houses. Qoherys was somewhere REALLY IMPORTANT. The malroys... Are in steadhold. It still seems noteworthy, though I certainly wouldn't expect aegon to have a problem with him or he would have stuck him off somewhere far away instead of in his front yard.
>>
>>46303604
You're going fine. Just introduce small changes here and there that reflect what we have done in the world. Like the peace talks. A good way is to keep doing things like that. We played on the big stage and got burnt for it. Playing the local stage is going to change things dramatically even in the short term as we build a bigger base. Everything should make sense and come with a cost and not be given damn near freely. Like the alliance with Crackclaw. We have to build a few roads and caravanseri to help them and in return they help us. The Longwaters are just big fucking bros and I hope nothing bad happens to them.
>>
>>46303604
Maybe some Dornish carpenters and stone masons, since they've been told Steadhold is in a state? Could help in giving the castle or the Septon a more Dornish flair
>>
>>46303732
Thisss
>>
>>46303604
I mean in the case of like Sweetrobin a lot of the REALLY heavy affects would be basically into the books that haven't been written.

Wait no I guess if he's that changed Arryn wouldn't have wanted to harden him up and gotten killed by Lysa in the first place
>>
>>46303726
That's actually not bad advice schleepy
>>
>>46303604
>>46303572 #
As to be expected. I can't believe how thoroughly you guys HATE Royce. Absolutely no backing down from it either. Straight "painful and elongated torture is my middle name" sort of hate. And my quest isn't even called Iron and HATE.

To be fair you made it pretty easy to hate him, and that hate has only gotten stronger with each revelation and plot he throws at us. He's a human slaver, a low born bastard and house traitor, a rapist, dangerously stupid, and a bandit lord. He's as shitty as they come in Westeros, and that's pretty fucking shitty
>>
>>46303871
Yeah, most of that could atleast be excused if we was smart about it... One thing is to be evil or cruel another is to be stupid aswell.
>>
>>46303709
I actually really want to see what kind offspring they would be.
>>
>>46303676
I suppose I forget sometimes, or just really haven't had a place to remind or put them. You guys have a lot of plans on where to spend Wealth and Power. And I have a tendency to add a lot to the pile.

>>46303709
Goldsong leads a good life for an old man horse. He's seen some real shit too from Westeros to Essos and back to Westeros again.

>>46303719
Valid points.

Its funny I never really thought about it much, just came up with some vague backstory for Aeson and made sure to include a time when the lines cross enough for the Valyrian blood to come through again proper.

>>46303672
Not quite, I mostly meant all the references to The Father I make.

>>46303726
I suppose you're right and I appreciate that. I am kind of excited for your next big 'canon event' which is the Greyjoy Rebellion. A lot more straight forward than the peace talks at least.

I feel like I did good with the Crackclaw Point Alliance. I never want to make things easy street for you guys. And I hate to make the comparison, but I don't want Brynden to coast on resources being handed out like in Iron and Hate. Page does a great job by the by. I just do things differently.

Longwaters are my favorite, I like that Brynden has legitimate friends in them. It would be great if he was able to marry a second or third born daughter to them, assuming they have one.

>>46303732
I might be able to do one. No promises.

>>46303783
That whole situation is perhaps the most dangerous I've ever gotten with canon. It also depends upon which child, and which way the end up going with the Malroy blood. A boy like Brynden would only make things worse I feel, and probably pick on him. While a boy like Donold or Dontos would even things out a bit, but in the end not matter much. Hell when Lysa flees King's landing Obella might go NOPE and steal back her child. Assuming this is the path we go down.

>>46303871
I feel like I can make him worse if I tried. But yeah I really did throw everything into him.
>>
How impressed were everyone at our heroic slaying of the fiercesome applebeast the night before ?

What is the word among the guests and how is Obella finding Steadhold ? I bet she already has figured out to decorate half the castle by now.
>>
>>46303871
>>46303902
Don't forget would be saboteur who helped in poisoning our son and our best friend. Seriously, fuck Royce
>>
>>46303940
Even one carpenter is fine. It'd make Obella happy, something we are going to do if we go through with this Lysa deal
>>
>>46304015
We even gave her that sweet scorpion chair!

Hope she likes it.
>>
>>46303948
As impressed as a drunken crowd of Lords and Ladies could be. Thoroughly. Particularly because he fucking nailed that shit on his first shot. Brynden is relatively well known for being a masterful archer but it's one thing to hear another to see.

Guests are getting along well enough, a lot of them are using the Tourney as a warm up for the one in Highgarden and a lot of the guests are just sort of a mixed bag of them. A lot of the Reach guests are personal friends of Dontos. The only thing is the Dorne/Tully&Arryn rivalry going on. That's a little bit of a thing you'll see more of on the second day.

Obella likes Steadhold for what it is. She is use to Sunspear, and that exotic dornish style. Steadhold is very military, very square. And very cold for her tastes. She will be redecorating at some point very soon, at least to brighten it up.
>>
Man can't wait for Tytos to fuck us over with this Faith coin thing
>>
>>46303940
Ehh don't worry too much about it. I'm mostly drunk right now so I proly won't remember much of this anyway. But just keep doing what you are doing and it shouldn't be too fan-ficy. Or hell make up an adventure for just a couple Knights of the house or something instead of the lord for a few threads!
>>
>>46304037
>She will be redecorating at some point very soon, at least to brighten it up.
This will be great! I'd love a description of what she does with the place.
>>
>>46304041
I still don't know whether Tytos is being played straight or if he's playing the long game. Cannot wait for an established spy network, so we can make some more informed decisions
>>
>>46303940
>While a boy like Donold or Dontos would even things out a bit, but in the end not matter much. Hell when Lysa flees King's landing Obella might go NOPE and steal back her child. Assuming this is the path we go down.
And if we only had girls?
>>
>>46304053
>tfw Father has inspired me to write down some notes for my own GoT quest.

Only problem is that i am a shit writer and cant spell for shit. Had pictured it as the players being a bastard hedge knight from the Reach during either the Dance of Dragons or the Blackfyre Rebellion.

>>
Father how huge is Obella's.... tracts of land ?
>>
For wedding gifts, probably an exotic bow. Maybe a summer islander bow?
>>
>>46304122
That and the bridge. The whole Chelsted deal is pointless if Dontos can't get his army to us because our bridge could be toppled over by a sneeze
>>

>>46304071
That's why he's such a great character. You guys both in and out of character have absolutely no idea what to think of Tytos.

>>46304074
I mean I doubt it. But if only girls, she would probably take after her mother or be like Isis and make things significantly worse.

>>46304080
Do it man. I'd love to follow another GoT quest. There really is too many Lord and his House quests, it would be a great change of pace.

>>46304122
I wonder if it'll get support though. Dontos will be furious if he finds out. He has absolutely no idea what Obella actually is.

>>46304127
Lower to Middle C-cup. Really her best assets are all in her hips, legs, and ass.

>>46304180

>>46304128
Summer Isler bow would fall under Exotic weapon for me. Rare as hell outside of Summer Islers themselves. Though a new bow is likely a good idea, at least to get his equipment updated to Superior.

>>46304151

>>46304210
Well they supported Renly Baratheon during the WotFKs until that went to shit. So they met a bunch of Reach and Stormlands Lords then plus Loras Tyrell. One of them interacted with Catelyn and that was an absolute shitshow. Fun time all around. Now they're going to be fighting some Golden Company characters and meet Aegon. I haven't decided how I'll be doing that yet. Though Robb Waters is considering defecting.

>>46304229
Okay probably not that much.

>>46304264
Point. I suppose its just because of how dangerous spy networks can get in the grand scheme of things and I'm really worried about allowing it to go too far. Dontos was my buffer for that initially. But introducing Obella as a spy kind of fucked that whole thing over.

I just wonder if people would rather spend the money on that or improving Steadhold. 20 free wealth is nothing to sneeze at. But all the same.

Getting that Small Town upgrade would really open up a lot of future improvements. And of course have the fluff pieces with Steadhold finally getting back to its former glory.

One of the biggest reasons would be for the Marketplace Settlement Holding from OOSP, Pic related for those unable to pull it up. Right now you have 3 Artisan Craftsmen, 2 Estate Holdings in Steadhold's domain and with the base +1 to Wealth you would end up with a bonus +6 to Wealth. Which would bump up your bonus to +10 and a +2d6 every time you roll for Wealth. +3 more and we're at +3d6 per roll. Imagine that.

You still have room for another 2 Settlement Holdings, with Marketplace that would put you at 1, with a lot of options. Like the Port or Military Academy.

I don't really give my insight into what I would pick so I'll leave it at that bit of advice.

So I'm going through Princely's old Pastebin, updating stuff in my Homebrew Document just because. I doubt we'll ever use any of it, but I stumbled upon a little addition from on the Sept holding I'm considering using:

>A house of prayer dedicated to the Seven, a Sept grants a +3 bonus to House Fortune rolls, brings a Septon to the community, and may be dedicated to a specific aspect. It also offers a random benefit:

1 - Scrivener’s Hall: A small room dedicated to education, this increases literacy in the area.
2 - Alm’s House: This is a building where the holy men and worshipers can feed the poor.
3-4 - Sect of Sisters: A sect moves to the location, like the Silent Sisters, or the Order of the Mother
5 - Hall of Healing: This is a place where educated holy men can attempt to cure the sick for charity.
6 - Crypt: This is a structure underneath the Sept itself, where pious or important folks are buried.

It's entirely a fluff piece, without any conferred bonuses, but I kind of like the idea if nothing else but to liven up Steadhold some more.

Thoughts?

On the topic, in general are there any desires or thoughts about Steadhold? Right now I sort of fluff it as a typical town with some broken up bits but going forward is there anything you guys would really like to see fluff wise? Maybe even mechanically?

I know the 'Dornish Sept' is a big one. I didn't go too into detail about the interior of the Sept during the Wedding scene so it's still an open option. I should probably get around to holding a vote on it, maybe the next House Fortunes meeting.
>>
>>46314445
I honestly like all of those Sept options except for crypt. I can see Septon Tytos teaching children how to read the seven pointed star.

As far as the town, I see it being somewhat military, open streets, square homes and shops etc.
>>
>>46314445
Interesting but does the Crypt really fit with House Malroy? And yes Dornish sept just to tweak the crown.

As for Steadhold, maybe a bit more spartan in layout? It's a military family and the town reflects that?
>>
>>46314445
HORSES EVERYWHERE
>>
>>46314497
>>46314717

Yeah the Crypt is a little eh for me too. There is a Lifestyle Holding for something similar, but I purposefully never included it in Council Suggestions or when I genned the House. Its not really a Malroy thing. In fact I've never even decided what the Malroys do with their dead. Probably should at some point.

>I can see Septon Tytos teaching children how to read the seven pointed star.

Particularly orphans of the Rebellion within town, yeah that seems like his thing for sure. I could see him doing that and the Alm's House actually.

>As far as the town, I see it being somewhat military, open streets, square homes and shops etc.
>As for Steadhold, maybe a bit more spartan in layout? It's a military family and the town reflects that?

I kind of always leaned towards that myself, lot of straight lines, very utilitarian to maximize efficiency about town. It did basically start out as a military holding, so the roads and basic layout would all reflect that.

House Malroy's Law score would probably also reflect in the city itself, as it is pretty damn incredible, so it would probably be a relative clean and 'nice neighborhood' type of community.

Either way, once we finally get the the Small Town upgrade, I'll be able to spend some time on talking up Steadhold.

>>46314747
There is quite a few, a lot of the stonework has horses carved into it, and I'd imagine the Outer Ring has a fair bit of horse related titles of businesses and the like.

That's the one thing that Tytos seems genuine about.

bump
>>
Alright thread is about to drop off, so last bump from me unless we get some activity, I'll archive it since we have some Lore and random answers in here.

Last thing I want to respond to is a question on my Ask.fm, which actually makes a relatively good point that I hadn't thought about.

>I'm not sure if this had gotten answered in the last thread but couldn't we give Lysa our King's Landing bastard? I don't think that Brynden would be up for it but it's an interesting solution.

"Hm... I honestly hadn't even thought about Dorian as a possible solution. I feel like I could allow that, with some provisions.

One, and most obviously, you'd have to acknowledge him. Not particularly difficult to do.

Two, he'd need to be raised properly, which might require some money spent here and there. You could bring him back to King's Landing to grow up in the Manor, or to Steadhold so you could raise him, or talk to someone in the Maidenpool and get him a place in House Mooton. Little bit of money here or there could see Cecilia married to a low ranking Knight and a place in their Household.

Three, talk to Dontos about it and understand that it will be a relatively negative event all around. Bastards are considered scandalous, even lowborn ones. Having one come out just after you get married is going to get some head's shaking. Including your uncles. He'll likely brood about it for awhile.

Continued...
>>
Four, understand that while Lord Jon Arryn will see the cleverness in using your bastard to pull one over on his wife that Lady Lysa Tully will not be amused and will see it as a slight. In her eyes she's doing you a favor by fostering a child, even if its to feed her ego. She's vaguely aware of Brynden's relationship with the Hand, and what happened in Dorne. Part of her reason for wanting to foster a child was because it was a "put you in your place" thing keep the Malroys under the thumb of the Crown with a "hostage". Lysa thinks she's helping, but Arryn will know such a thing would only incite Brynden and lead to more distrust.

And fifth, understand you won't really be getting much out of the deal. Yeah the situation is weird in that technically speaking a child of yours growing up with a Lord Paramount is a great boon for any Household, but a bastard child? Not so much. He'll have a rough go of it with Lysa Tully's descent into madness and the age difference between himself and Sweet Robin will hurt. You might end up getting backlash for your son "hurting" him and then all sorts of rumors will pop up about Malroy stock, and the usual bastard allegations. Dorian might even grow to resent Brynden, just because he'll feel pawned off.

But yeah, scenario is a bit odd. But it's manageable. Lysa Tully did say, "A child of yours to be fostered in the Eyrie..." never specified if they were true or natural born."

It seems to me to be a solution to the "Obella doesn't trust lysa with her kids" problem by NOT sending one of obella's kids. If we absolutely can't figure out something that Obella is willing to accept... It could make sense. Though I wouldn't want to its all downsides.
>>
>>46317141

>>
>>46317055

>>46317096
Typically fostering lasts a bit longer than a few years. He would likely be there until right up until Jon died. So maybe, 5-8 years depending upon when Dorian was sent there.

And good chance if we go down this path, Dorian is going to end up a lot more like his father in the end and will absolutely not be interested in settling down or getting to know his father during his teenage phase.

>>46317280
>Obella is willing to accept
She would accept her child being fostered there, she would just won't be happy about it. She's well aware Mellario's option isn't much better, and knows how much Brynden wants to save his sister. But that's her child too and she'd expect Brynden to side with her on the whole "Arryn's might be a little untrustworthy after the Peace Talks" fiasco.

>Though I wouldn't want to its all downsides.
Well I mean there is downsides to everything. The solution always remains to do absolutely nothing in fact. All of these things are a chance for the Malroys to play on the bigger stage again. I'm just wondering what you guys are going to do with it this time.

The hardest thing to reconcile with the idea is Ned's integrity.

While Ned's slip up equating Jon and Ashara does mean I think Ashara is Jon's mother, I think the father is Brandon Stark. You see, he and Ashara had a thing ever since the Harrenhal tourney, and she was in King's Landing when Brandon was imprisoned by the Mad King.

I think this is the most likely explanation for Jon because of a few things, but the biggest is that The Lord of Starfall Edric Dayne is nicknamed "Ned," so the Daynes obviously think Ned is a cool guy. If he had put a bastard child in his aunt's belly and caused her to commit suicide, they'd think he was an asshole. But if he had not only brought back the Dayne's ancestral sword, but also fostered their shame in order to not stain their family name with bastardy they'd think he was awesome. Which they do.

Ned gets to raise his brother's child, and the Daynes aren't disgraced - it seems like a perfect solution. But Ashara's heart is still broken after Brandon's death, so she kills herself.

And having a Dayne's valyrian blood would explain why Jon is a warg.
>>
>>46317866
Except what about Arya and Bran?
>>
>>46317908
No, I don't think they're Ashara's kids.

She was dead by then, and Cat would know if they weren't hers.

Barring Rh'llor ressurrections and Glass-Candle midfuckery, obviously.

It's possible, but I think you're reaching with that idea.
>>
>>46317866
>Brandon Stark. You see, he and Ashara had a thing ever since the Harrenhal tourney, and she was in King's Landing when Brandon was imprisoned by the Mad King.

That's conjecture though, we don't know if the relationship was between Brandon or Ned.
>>
>>46317908
No shit. Arya and Bran are Wargs. They wereCatelyn Tully's kids. If they don't have Valyrian in them how does that explain it?
>>
>>46318044
It's either Stark blood or Tully blood. Probably Stark blood.
>>
>>46318025
True.

For all we know, the dornishwoman went for the little brother who was so shy he had to get his big brother ask her for a dance instead of nutting up and asking her himself.

Can anyone tell me what Bridge and Tower give us mechanically speaking?
>>
>>46318604
It's an interesting situation. I knew there was some want to get Isis away from there I just needed to frame it in a way that was basically giving it to you. Lots of different options for it, some of them involve Brynden playing the game again. I've enjoyed putting it all together.

>>46319169
Bridge is a Homebrew holding of mine own. From my Homebrew Holdings document.

Bridge R&G
Requirements: River
Investment: 5 Defense, 5 Wealth
Time: 12+1d6 Months
Bonus: +1 Wealth, Units defending the bridge receive a +2 bonus to defense.

Description: Though not necessarily a point of defense for many Lords the bridge serves many purposes in his domain. Commerce and trade often makes its way across them, a small toll taken for the Lord’s efforts. More fortified positions, such as The Twins, utilizing the chokepoint nature they provide to funnel invaders into a slaughterhouse. More permanent structures, are made of stone, while wooden simple bridges are more common in rural areas raised by the smallfolk or pauper Lords.

Note those costs are lowered because you already have one, it just needs repaired. The same can be said for the Tower which is a vanilla holding, from the guide:

Tower
Investment: 10
Time: 36+10d6 Months
Towers are single free-standing stone or timber structures that thrust
up from the ground. If they have any outbuildings, they are small and
unprotected. Petyr Baelish’s holdings in the Fingers included a single
tower.
Benefit: Units defending a tower gain a +3 bonus to their Defense

And if you spend 20 Power you can place a landed Knight there, which will be Mason in the future, and he can open up shop with his own holdings and military to supplement your own.

Mechanically speaking that's about all.
>>
>>46319304
Any idea how much manpower Mason would start off with? And would he have to resign being our tourny master in order to look after his new household?
>>
>>46319304
Neato, a bonus thread as Mason or his kid one day would be interesting. Especially if you were raised by a Mute.
>>
Okay how much does Spy Network cost?
>>
>>46319432
10 wealth. 5 wealtth for Plausible Deniability which means even if they fail we don't take influence loss. 5 wealth for Expert Spie which minus 1 full die from opponents cunning.
>>
>>46319517
So after our fortune rolls we can afford almost everything on our List. Father did Say having Obella would discount/reduce time of the spy network as well.
>>
Good to see you again Father. Damn i do like the Dorian idea. Just have to convince Dontos, i am sure "For the sake and life of Isis" should be a good arguement.
>>
Ghaa Father. We have to wait two more months for the baby to come right ?

Can you tell us if it is a warg ?
>>
>>46319373
Anywhere from 200-500 men depending upon the luck and how it is spent.

Banner Houses start out with a 5d6 pool for starting resources, Crownlands comes with a -5 to Power, and his founding and only event would likely be Ascent, which adds a +1d6 to Power. So he has a pretty wide range where it could either be really good, or pretty bad.

And Mason is your Master-at-Arms, not your Tourney Master, a holding you don't even have. But no, he would not, his Household would be incredibly small and Elionwy is effective enough to manage that and your own stuff so they would both keep their places in Steadhold. Think of it how the Cassels are with the Starks. Hell I'm not even going to give him a Lands roll, because of the position of the Tower the only way he could have a Domain is if you gifted it to him. So yeah, not a lot to worry about.

>>46319413
I've considered it, one of the one-shots in between timeskips. Mason doesn't want a lot of kids, just one if it's a boy. So it would be interesting to see the sort of life they grow up in.

>>46319432
This, >>46319517 is correct, however there is a -3 cost to Wealth and a -1d6 to time. So basically 7 Wealth and 6+1d6 Months. Obella and her girls are good enough and quick enough to set something up, but they are working in an area they do not know much about.

I'll remind, everyone has access to the core rulebook and the supplements as well as my own resources at all times in the OP of all threads.

>>46319649
He would at least be placated by that argument for the time. But he is a man of Faith, he'll never truly trust a bastard. He would honestly prefer you give a true born child.

>>46319695
Two months yep. Not a warg. I do not do those often, at all, none of Brynden's future children will be wargs, the boys at the most will just pick up the same thing he has.
>>
>>46319820
>He would at least be placated by that argument for the time. But he is a man of Faith, he'll never truly trust a bastard. He would honestly prefer you give a true born child.

We could counter that by telling him we are planning on making the child a Septon prehapes ?

> Brynden's future children will be wargs, the boys at the most will just pick up the same thing he has.

Extremely good looks and poor impulse control ?

Would it be a smart idea to marry the 4th or 5th child to any child Mason has ?
>>
>>46319592
Well not quite, you'll need to get at least 10 Defense to pay for the Bridge and Tower restoration. Your not likely to get all of that in one House Fortunes, unless you move around some resources. Not to mention Obella is going to request some of your funds as well, the Dowry is technically speaking meant to maintain the level of comfort she is accustomed to.

>>46319869
>We could counter that by telling him we are planning on making the child a Septon prehapes ?

Unlikely you'd be able to dictate that child's life like that after everything is said and done. He would sooner tell you not to recognize the child and give him to the Faith immediately. Dontos worries that the situation will only bring more scandal to the House given the timing of it all, and he isn't entirely wrong in that belief.

>Extremely good looks and poor impulse control ?
Well the first one at least. The second one depends on which side of the Malroy coin the children land. No I meant the Animal Cohort quality and the connection to the Malroy Pedigree Horses.

>Would it be a smart idea to marry the 4th or 5th child to any child Mason has ?
I wouldn't say necessarily smart or not, isn't uncommon, but it is entire your guys call. Really depends upon how many boys and how many girls you have.

If you have 3 girls per say, the first one is the important one, the second or third could go to the Longwaters if you guys still want to do that, and the last one, Mason's kid? Sure why not.

If he has a girl, who knows. A third or second born son wouldn't be a terrible match.

Really it's all up in the air in the future. I can't say without seeing how many children we end up having and the ratio of boys to girls and Mason's family.
>>
>>46320144

>>46320199
>Well Dontos should stay quiet and go fuck his new wife.

Not likely, part of the deal of him being cooperative with marrying Lady Chelsted was that Brynden didn't recognize Dorian. He'll speak his mind on it regardless.

>How pissed is Redward right now, now that the wedding is underway ?

He's actually more missed off at the Crown than he is at Brynden. He got in a lovely little argument with Cersei because he was of the impression she would have his back and make sure the land wasn't taken away. Then the whole Jon Arryn thing with Isis. He's just in his Hall being a salty fuck.

>>46320231
>Did we tell her about wanting 5 kids yet?

>>

We should be able to do both. Winning the archery will make it less embarrasing when we get our shit pushed in the first round by Loras or something
>>
>>46324572
I'd rather not Joust in the first place. Injuries fucking suck in this system.
>>
Problem with entering the joust. Brynden isn't a Knight.

>Some Westerosi tourneys are open only to anointed knights, whose privileges are jealously guarded; this forms an important plot element in The Hedge Knight. Indeed, tourney culture is closely connected to chivalric tradition and its spiritual basis, the Andals' Faith of the Seven. These traditions dominate southern and central Westeros, especially in the Reach, but they are uncommon in the North, where many follow the old gods.

And dad has made a point that Brynden is a shit jouster anyway
>>
>>46324585
I agree, and it's already been pointed out that we suck badly at jousting. The most recent game-thread said that whilst we're great on a horse, unless it's war we suck at jousts.
>>
>>46324737
I was just joking around. Don't know about the others.
>>
>>46325019
Yeah I figured but it's probably best people don't forget we suck at jousting before everyone gets all hyped for it.
>>
>>46324737
Is a shame Obella wont be there to see us win the Archery though.
>>
>>46324737
we could always cheat, as honorable men do
>>
>>46325828
Or just not compete in the Joust.
>>
>>46326931
Let's just let our horse be riden by others in the joust
>>
>>46327560
Horses, not horse. No one disturbs Goldsong when there is Dothraki pussy to be had
>>
>>46327592
Goldsong is one happy horse. Speaking of horses. While Obella doesnt like them we should still make sure we give her one. Everyone in the family gets one. Up to them if they want to ride it or not.
>>
>>46327624
That'd be a cute scene. Brynden helping Obella out with her horse stuff.
>>
>>46329203
>she picks a horse and they both end up hating eachother
>>
>>46329388
It's good for her sense of competition.
>>
>>46329388
They are both jealous of the link Brynden and Goldsong have.
>>
>>46330022
D'awwwww

Think the Loyal Bows are going to find anything interesting in the Princewood?

Unfortunately anon this is discussion.

Speaking of, I'm actually really curious about the potential foals from Goldsong breeding with Dothraki mares.

>I'm actually really curious about the potential foals from Goldsong breeding with Dothraki mares
Golden-haired ubermensch horses + Dark-skinned exotic eastern horses?

The horse equivalent of delicious brown girls, I'm thinking of the California Gold variant in particular.

>Be Malroy horse
>get assigned to master and best bud when we were both but foals
>master heads east over the seas, almost die a gorillion times from other humans trying to kill us for almost a decade
>eventually master heads back west, hell if I know why
>Don't go into battle nearly as often, mostly just to ferry master from place to place
>Based master and best bud makes sure 'm fed with nothing but the finest oats, the crunchiest apples, and sugar cubes by the handful
>get to mount literally HUNDREDS of the finest mares, including some of dat sweet, sweet Hot Dothraki Pussy
>NEIGH NEIGH

NEIGH NEIGH

Whoops, forgot to attach picture.

I mostly meant physical ability instead of appearance.

Someone needs to screenshot that greentext though.
>>
>>46334621
>Master used to mount his mares on a regular basis back in the east while I had one from time to time.
>Here I'm the one who mount the mares almost everyday, and master is strangely seeing a few mares.

>>46318044
Wait, what does having valyrian blood have to do with being a warg? isnt warging a northern thing?
>>
>>46344053
The Targs warged dragons so it stands that those with Targ blood can be wargs
>>
>>46344165
warged dragons? since when? they tamed and controlled them but i dont remember reading anything about them warging?
any sources from the books? ill be looking this up as well but i dont think it is even mentioned once in the books, or implied.

warging in northmen however is very common and heavily implied in the stark line. them having connections with their direwolves since pretty much the first kings of the north.
>>
>>46345351
It's been heavily implied that the Valyrians used some sort of power to control dragons. Whether that be warging or something else, nobody knows. Most people assume it's Warging though.
>>
Brynden is a little shit who cant even get it up unless a summer islander man suck it off on him. He is nothing but a smallminded, weak horsefucker who gets into fake marriage with a dornish slut who will cuckold him. All his children will be weaker and dumber than him.

His current bastard spawn will end up as a manwhore in some Essosi brothel!

Redward Pride Westeros Wide!

Fuck you, Mom! I'm gonna go live with Dad!
