By the time you're done, your head is pounding, your body feels like it should be nailed to your chair, and you can have difficulty walking straight. Myrddin is faring a little better, but not much. Olwen, of course, is just watching you work. Bodyguard work is difficult sometimes, but this is not one of those times.

You force yourself to get up and stumble down to the kitchen, where the cooks are preparing lunch. They bow in a panic when they see you arrive.

"No need for formalities," you say. "I just got caught up in my work and lost track of time, so I thought I'd come by for a little pick me up."

"Of course, your highness," the head chef says. "We're always ready to support the royal family."

You slow down as you approach Prince Aled's favourite spot, a gazebo where musicians play every afternoon. The crowd is never large, but their work is appreciated.

I want to try something new instead of the usual big brother characterizations in other Quests.
I want to slowly but surely make the other siblings better instead of cleaning shit up ourselves and this is my favorite method for the sister. Be a Teacher and then Lover.

At least your meeting wasn't a total loss. You did find out that your uncle wants to have you poisoned for some nefarious reason.

You return to your room and report your findings to Olwen and Myrddin.

"I'll have someone look at the handkerchief," Myrddin says. "It's not perfect, but it should be possible to figure out which poison your uncle tried to use."

"I'm surprised he'd go so far as to poison another member of the royal family in the palace," Olwen says. "That's quite a bit farther than he usually goes."

"I identified the poison your uncle tried to use," Myrddin says. "It's used for birth control, but in sufficient concentrations, it can cause… infertility."

Your gonads coil back into your body, seeking protection as your mind processes what Myrddin just told you.
