Sonido is such a useful technique, too bad training with it is nigh impossible due to the large energy consumption of the technique.
Regardless you'll try your best at it anyway.
Or at least you would if you didn't feel four hollows approaching your position.
No doubt they felt you as you let your reiatsu leak out for the sake of the training.

But you don't feel like fighting them instead you set up a trap for them.
You approach a large tree and touch it, leaving some of your mucus on its surface and start pulling a thin thread towards another large tree.
As the four hollows are coming towards you at quite a high speed they fail to notice the thread that you hardened with reiatsu and it decapitates all of them.
Perfect, extra food for training!

You begin practicing after conserving their corpses with your mucus for future consumption.
The training regime only briefly stops after every third sonido to get a quick snack.
You spend about an hour keeping this up but unfortunately the results are less than favorable.
You only managed to get in a fourth sonido before your new food supply ran out.
But even with that you still managed to create something new, something interesting.

And over all you can't complain about what you achieved, since such an opportunity probably won't arise in the foreseeable future.

But as you settle down to get a little post workout nap you realize something.
Pesci is still nowhere to be found.

Perhaps he ventured too far away and got into trouble, or perhaps he just had no luck hunting.
Still you kinda feel like checking on him and see if he is okay.

Well you can rest later anyway, so you get up and start making your way where you vaguely remember Pesci going.

As you make your way towards the camp you feel an odd calmness about the whole area.
It's like the horrible atrocities that happened yesterday never even happened.
Everything is just too quiet, too serene.

But at the very least you managed to pick up Pescis signal again, the bastard ventured way too much into the facility.
Not even you'd venture that far in if you didn't have your cloaking ability.

The place where Pesci went to is one of the many work areas for the prisoners. A large quarry where they are worked until they can't possibly move anymore and then they get beaten to near death for slacking off.
Pesci is sitting on one of the larger piles of rubble around and is seemingly looking at the jews as they work.

"Hey Pesci! I've been looking all over for you. Just what are you doing here?"

"Ah, sorry Boss. I lost track of time after I ate.
But I think you'll be interested in what I found."

"Oh? You found something? Do tell!"
And with that you climb your way up to Pesci who looks quite lost in thought now that you see him from up close.

"So tell me, what did you find in these humans that is so interesting?"

"Not in all of them, just that one."
He points towards one of the children.
It is the little jewish child whom you healed yesterday.

"What about him?"

"He can see us."

No way. A perfectly living human seeing hollows? He must be joking, that can't be.

"Are you absolutely sure about this?"

"No mistake Boss. He doesn't interact with them but the boy definitely reacts to spirits, whether it's a hollow or a shinigami. Any time one of these get close he looks at them for a split second before turning away from them.
I thought it was an accident, so I kept observing him and he did it time and time again."

If that is true then this is truly something worth your time.

With that both of you jump off from the pile of rubble and make your way towards the boy.
What's strange is that he doesn't seem to be afraid even when he sees you approaching.
If anything, you could swear there is almost a glint of excitement in his eyes.

You stop about three meters away from him and speak up.

"Boy. How come you can see us?"

But he doesn't seem to react.

"Hey! I asked you something you lil' shit! I know you aren't deaf!"

But instead of answering he turns his back to you and starts walking away, while he is signaling you with his finger to follow him.

You two follow the boy who seemed to lead you away from prying eyes.
And once you are out of sight he sighs with relief.

"Praised be God. I thought I'd never see you again big lizard!"

"Well since you healed my leg I could see all sorts of weird things that no one else seemed to notice. The others told me to not say crazy stuff like that so I pretended not to see them."

The boy is just looking at you with eyes full of excitement, it seems you are some sort of a personal hero for him.
But you couldn't care less about that, his abilities intrest you much more.

You are deeply immersed in your own thoughts when the child starts tugging your hand.

With that he gives you a small locket.

"It used to be my moms, it is the only thing I have left of her. I want you to have it."

You flip it open and reveal a stained and torn piece of paper that has a family on it that you can only presume is his.

You hand it back to the small jewish boy and close his hands around it.
"You don't owe me anything boy. But if you want to repay me so much. I have something else in mind."

"I'll do anything!"

"Good, I want you to tell me exactly everything strange that happened to you since then. You hear? Everything that was out of the ordinary."

"Right."

He tells you that since his leg was fixed he feels much stronger than before, he has more stamina and can keep going on without much food for long periods of time.
It is strange, especially from a human.
But the powers he exhibits, or at least their nature doesn't sound like a quincys.
In fact it leans more close to hollows than you are comfortable with.
Regardless this incident definitely got your attention, turning a boy into this "thing" is not something you thought you could do.

Before you leave the boy you show him how to hide and suppress his pressure, it isn't noticeable now but who knows how long that will last.
You also told him if he is in trouble he should raise it and you'll come to his aid.

You say your goodbye to the boy and leave with Pesci before the officers start searching for him.

Regardless from now on you should stay away from humans, least you infect them with whatever you gave the boy.

And as you are going back to your makeshift camp you start weighing your options, the boy can't be left alone that much is certain. His abilities might start a chain reaction that will have unspeakable consequences.

His abilities lean closer to a hollow's, it seems like those two would just put a bullet in him or cut him up to see how it happened.
And god forbid we give either of those two an edge on killing us or things like us.

On the other hand, they do have the free time.
However, if anything goes wrong, given the nature of his powers, we're likely the most qualified to do something that doesn't end in his death.

There is no other way around it. There is not a single soul in this camp besides Pesci you wouldn't strangle if given the chance.
The quincy would do stuff that you'd wish on no living being, the shinigami would just simply kill him on the spot.

It's not like you have much stuff to do besides feeding anyways.
You tell Pesci your plan to keep an eye on the kid pretty much at all times when you are not huntin or resting or talking with him.
Those powers are something else entirely, not shinigami, not quincy hell not even hollow.
An unknown factor like that could do anything if left unchecked.

He agrees with your decision, stating that there is noone around here who is suitable for the task.

So it's decided, Pesci goes back to the camp while you turn around and keep watching the boy.

There is a perfect little hill that overlooks the quarry area and you start observing.
You get really bored really quickly though.

You didn't bother with this place before because there are more shinigami in the vicinity than you are comfortable with and watching these people suffer is not really entertaining.
So you keep fiddling around with your mucus as you make little bridges between your fingertips when something gets your attention.

One of the soldiers who were tasked with "guarding" the workers went down to bully them.
If you can call killing beating the prisoners over the head with the butt of his rifle because they are incapable of working anymore bullying.

And it seems that the boy got his attention now.
Not because of any real reason, he just kept working when the soldier was making a scene.
The boy didn't pay attention to him and now he wants to punish him for it, how low is this guys self esteem?

He is now looking at the boy with what is clearly malicious intent.

You decide to watch as things unfold.
You are by no means this kids guardian angel.
So unless the boy is in mortal danger you won't help him.

But apparently you don't have to.
As the soldier gets ready to beat him over the head with his rifle the boy takes a step back wards and the man falls face first into the ground.
Though the scene is pretty funny nobody laughs except you and the boy.

Which the soldier really doesn't appreciate.
He releases the safety on his Maschinenpistole and aims at the kid.
You almost spring up but in the last second you realize that the boy is readying something.
An unusually large amount of reiryoku is being amassed in the boys body. Well, unusual for a human anyways.

When the soldier fires the bullets seem to simply change their trajectory, simply going around the boy.
And it's not like there was a barrier or some sort, the bullets themselves avoided the boy.
After emptying a whole magazine and not hitting once the soldier is standing in place, clearly baffled about this insanity.

After finally getting to his senses the soldier simply angrily marches away as his comrades are laughing as hard as they can while verbally assaulting the poor guy.
To them it seemed like Hans was simply the worst shot in the world and that he'd probably will get sent home soon since he is obviously blind.

You almost actually feel sorry for the guy.
But you also feel a little pride about how capable the kid actually is with his abilities.

You dash to him and stop close enough that he can hear you. He doesn't acknowledge you instead he got back to work to avoid further attention.

"That was almost impressive. How did you do it?"

He walks right past you and murmurs only one word.

"Instinct."

You watched over him for the rest of the day but nothing out of the ordinary happens.
One person dies out of fatigue and malnutrition but that seems to be pretty commonplace here.
You don't waste much time and gobble up the plus that he left and leave before any shinigami show up.

The boy later asked you why did you do it and you explained to him that you have to feed on other souls in order to live.
You also gave a few sparing details of souls and how they work exactly.
He seemed to catch on actually quite quickly.
This place probably killed his childhood pretty fast.

Even coming to terms with the fact that his whole religion is a lie doesn't seem to phase him.
Hell, he even seems to be glad as these circumstances are what allowed him to attain such powers in the first place.
For a second you could see him thinking about escape or perhaps revenge but you quickly told him to forget about it.
He doesn't have nearly enough reiryoku to pull either of those off nor does he have enough experience.

Also this little exercise of his left him weakened his body is not used to the strain. You decide that collecting some form of food for him wouldn't be a bad idea and tell him that tomorrow you'll get him something to eat.
He thanks you politely and waves you off as you go.

Back at the camp you can see Pesci sitting next to a makeshift lightsource. He took your advice and started to apply his powers in more creative manners, such as leaving the energy out in order to provide light.
When he sees you approach he speaks up.

"I'll never get used to the fact that I can't sense you. So how's the boy?"

"Honestly? Freaky, he has shown me the extent of his powers and I couldn't figure out how they work."

"Huh, guess you were right about him being something special after all."

"You were doubting me?"

"Not the least Boss. You hungry?"
He asks as he shows you some leftover of a poor hollow.

"No thanks, I ate not too long ago. Your kill?"

He asks as he takes another mouthful of hollow.

With that thought finished Pesci finishes his meal and just in time.
The snow is falling again but this time it's more like hail so there is a lot of noise now.

Pesci extinguishes the mass of energy he used as a lamp and goes to sleep.
You follow suit and fall asleep quite quickly to the sound of the hail and the satisfaction you feel from todays work.

According to your calculations you should get there in roughly fifteen minutes.

But as you are lost in thought a sharp turn comes and your vehicle goes out of control as it slips on the ice covered road.
You tumble until the wreckage hits the wall of a nearby house. You manage to crawl out of the remnants of your car and check yourself.
There seems to be no serious injury at first glance but you quickly realize there is a chain attached to your chest.

Oh man, it lodged itself into your chest completely, you can't even make it budge.
But there is no time to waste, your wife is in labor right now and you have to get to her.
The hospital should be only like five minutes on foot anyways and when you get there they can patch you up, no problem.

You make your way to the hospital as fast as you can. You almost got ran over by a car on your way there but you got lucky and jumped out of the way before it ran you over.

You blast your way through the door and make your way to the room they said they took your wife, since apparently all of these assholes thought to ignore you as you demanded to know where she is and what her condition is.

As you finally find the place you enter just in time for the birth of your son.
He is beautiful.

But the doctors simply shake their head and take him away.

Your son was stillborn.

And your wife died during childbirth.

You can feel an empty void inside you expanding until you feel like it consumed your entire being and you cry out

At the very least, the Nazi Quincy is probably a Lieutenant of some description, but probably higher. More importantly he isn't a field officer because of his post, he's taking care of the camps.

Kaizar can go either way in that regard, he may have been with the camps or in the streets of the cities since he seems to have been part of an extermination of some description based on the brief dialogue about the disposal of corpses.

Without more information it's plausible that Kaizar and the SS quincy knew each other, but it's just as likely that they didn't, it especially depends on where each was deployed, because if Kaizar was in on the Western front he was certainly nowhere near the camp that SS Quincy would be.

Possibly stupid, but my idea for a hollow's mask:
The yin and yang symbol, oriented as such. A bit of a unique mask for the obvious reason of not being just white, but hey, if kaizar's mask can have red bits sometimes, why not.
The mask opens up at the border between yin and yang to make the mouth.
Hollow's skin would ideally be 50% gray, an equal mix of black and white

As for the body, i like that suggestion. Ganesha's chubby, multi-limbed body is a good basis, and ties into the origin of yin and yang.
Perhaps for extra fuckiness, the legs could be gone(or useless through small size, or being fused to the body or fused in the crossed position) so it must use the hands and arms to move itself around. That kind of movement always freaked me out for some reason.

Actual name is The Last Sternritter, where we play a quincy in 1790 at the end of the Second Shinigami-Quincy war. As for how good it is, the QM has clearly thought things through and has decent writing skills but its really to early to tell. I'm waiting for our Battle of Berlin equivalent, which should be next session.
