Forty-seven seconds later, a Lancer Evo crashes though the wall of her room and a golden-haired figure with burning eyes steps out.
“I ask of you: Are you my master?”

“… Akira. My room is on the second floor. How did you manage to crash a car up here?”
“Star Wars: Podracer. With all the hours I put into that I know how to crash a lawnmover into a space shuttle.” She flops down next to her sister. “So? What’s up?”

Lilly is pissed because we've been spending less time with her so we need to get on that.

also there was a first tea set hint and it says we need at least TWO allies.

“Man. I almost feel like summoning an ancient death spirit for no particular reason was a bad idea.” Akira muses, skidding to a halt as another tentacle misses her by a hair.
The pale monster has been killed a hundred times over but it hasn’t died.
Suddenly, a gasp to your side redirects your attention to Lilly. “Hanako! The flares!”
Flares? Oh, right. You had signal flares… but why would those help here?
“Burn the forest!” Lilly yells as if reading your thoughts.
“Wha…”
“A spirit is anchored to its catalyst! If that’s a nature spirit, that catalyst is nature! Burn the forest to kill it!”
You grasp at your survival pack… and find it isn’t there. It must have gotten ripped off with that skirmish when you got ensnared earlier… So now, in other words, it’s on the other side of the clearing. The monster stands between you and it.

As the monster turns towards you, Akira suddenly grapples onto it from behind and starts hacking away at with her trusty DH-Blade. The horror of its mental attack must be so much stronger since she’s so close, but she doesn’t seem to notice.
You make it to your pack, tear out a flare, and chuck it into the nearest bush that looks to be flammable.
As you know from personal experience: Fire spreads so quickly. Much faster than it the movies.
In a handful of second, the entire clearing is going up and you’re choking on smoke. Disbelief and shock sets into you that you set a fire.
YoU seT thE fIrE…
That’s… that’s right… Back then… you were still afraid of fire. Because that fire… yoU… SeT…
“Hey!” Akira grabs you and rolls you both out from underneath the collapse of a burning tree. “Escape first. Inner monologue later.”
She slings Lilly over her shoulders in a fireman’s carry as takes off, laughing like a loon as the fire spreads.
The forest becomes a scene of hell. Somewhere behind you the monster lets out a soundless shriek which is felt moreso than heard.
Fire. Fire everywhere…
But… you’re not… afraid…
That fire… is cleansing. That fire… is pretty…

Before the video is over, you’ve also fallen asleep on Miki’s lap.

I have a feeling that we blew our chances with Lilly that night and no matter what we do now it will not really undo what has been done, so we will just end up gaining nothing by trying to fix things now. Good Lord, that is just cold hearted. I love it. Lilly doesn't handle being cornered well, so first option is the best one, at least here. “And then, he says ‘Statement: Meatbags are flammable’ and sets the whole fucking building on fire.” Akira recants her story to an encirclement of eager girls. Thankfully for them, it seems Akira approves.
It’s midmorning and most of the more radical girls have shuffled off. Shizune and Misha have retreated to their lair. Emi’s down at the track, and Rin is…. Wherever the hell Rin goes. But Miki and Suzu are sitting together on a love seat just across from her, engrossed in the story.
Akira catches sight of you both and shoots you a salute. “Hey-hey, Hanners~!!! Lils!”
You both breathe a sigh of relief.
She notices and laughs. “Your friends here are just wonderful… It’s a shame they have to die.” She sips her tea.
“Wait… what’d she say?” Miki looks to Suzu.
“She said it’s a shame we have to die.”
“Oh yeah. That’s what I thought she said.” Everybody shares a collective laugh.

Silence once again. You think you were less shocked when Akira licked you.
Then suddenly all the girls explode into laughter. A few whistle. You can only stand stunned, not exactly sure what it is you’re feeling.
“’Now’ you’re forgiven.” She shoots you a cheeky grin, then moves over and sits down on Akira’s lap.
“Aaaaaw…” Miki giggles. “How romantic… It’ll be like Five Centimeters Per Second… Except, you know… Not SHIT.”
Suzu frowns. “Hey… I like that movie.”
“You like stupid things.”
She sighs. “…Yes I do, Miki… Yes I do…”

The attack seems to come from every direction at once as the fastest thing of no legs zips through the bushes and launches a blinding series of attacks on Miki.
As you collect yourself and try to help, suddenly a strange type of wind-up doll spring to life. Is jaws snap shut like a bear trap and you narrowly avoid losing an arm as you tumble back.
Then another one springs to life to smash your skull.
Miki smashes it with her nail bat before it kills you – although that leaves her open to a strike from Emi. You would have been killed instantly if not for that. It costs her a wound from a sharpened screwdriver.
Reeling, you two desperately re-orient yourselves as the leaves as lashed about by Emi’s lightning footwork. Rin simply stands at the edge of the cleaning staring vacantly at you – her sinister dolls doubtless crawling all around in the bushes.

We might want to flee soon. The place is not tight or close quarters. Emi has a distinct advantage and freedom of movement and Rin can just send her dolls again and again and until we take out the puppet master it will keep happening. You charge forward, hoping to catch rin – and suddenly find yourself staring into the jaws of death as a doll springs down from the trees.
You shriek as you recoil, batting it away. It tears the sleeve of your shirt – and would have very easily torn apart the arm underneath had the angle been a little different.
And on the subject of mangle arms, Miki is struggling heavily against Emi – whose carefully corrdinated battle-pulses of charge-strike-retreat wear on her defense. Rin’s doll network gives her a safe zone with which to fall back to. That earlier strike, if anything, only served to egg her on. Her insane laughter splits the treetops.
You slash away one of the dolls slinking towards Miki in the underbrush and scamper back to regroup. Rin, of course, is still nowhere to be seen.
Miki, panting heavily and bleeding from a dozen minor wounds, tosses you a worried look.

“Miki…” You half whisper.
She sighs. “I know… But man this is gonna leave a bad afterta- NOW!!!”
She hurls her bat at Emi like a careening wheel of death and you hurl your razor blade at Rin. Neither are hurt by the attack but it’s more than enough to break their rhythm – which is exactly what you were hoping for.
In a flash, you two break off and make a crazed dash out of the trees – Miki half-throws Suzu’s unconscious body over her shoulder as she runs, stooping to get her bat without so much as a break in her step.
“Leading with an ambush, fuckin assholes…” Your one-armed friend snarls. “If we’d fought fair & square I could’ve taken ‘em…”
“That’s… probably… why… they didn’t fight fair.” You gasp, trying to keep step with the track team’s Number Two.
That was a masterful ambush – combing the ground, setting themselves up, coordinating their strengths… you don’t know if even Akira could have survived that.
Evidently, Team limbless doesn’t feel like pursuing you outside of their own ambush zone and you manage to make it back to the girl’s dorms safely. As you stand in the hallway, wound and gasping for air, suddenly you hear a loud yawn.
“What’d I miss? Anything good?”

My thought is if we can ambush Rin with Wallflower and kill her, or at least mortally wound her, she'll be taken out fast and easy. We'll be able to sneak up on her because her Wrath and Pride are almost nonexistent. We just need to make sure to fight her somewhere where she can't gain the environment advantage or limit her Mousers.

We will need Miki to take out Emi or maybe Lilly and ourselves together. Let's not count on Akira doing anything but bailing us out once, she never takes a direct hand in a fight, wih the exception of Akira's Carnival.

“I’ve got this, trust me. I have practice.” Suzu assures you as she nonchalantly grabs a first aid kit and drags Miki back up to her room.
“That was fun, Hanners! Let’s try that again sometime!” She chirps merrily, having basically walked off the equivalent of Teutoberg Forest.
You stagger up to your room, shut the door, and slink to the ground as the last of your strength leaves you.
Your heart is pounding like a jackhammer, such are the strength of the emotions flowing through you. Your feelings for Hisao… Your feelings of relief… They burn within you
You have to fumble awkwardly through your drawer for another razor blade and roll up your sleeve. This time, however, you want to preserve that feeling. Giggling like a loon, you carve the characters ‘中井 久夫’ into your arm, then flop back to the door, gazing at the lovely red lines.
“You got your ass kicked, Hanako.” Your mother’s voice breaks the silence.
You turn and face its source – the lovely French doll that Lilly gave you last year. Your only guaranteed friend.
You giggle and turn your gaze up to the ceiling. “Did I? My reconnaissance on Hisao was successful I now I know for a fact that at least two other girls are on the same page as me. I learned that Miki can be a very useful ally and that I need to be more wary of ambushes…. And most importantly, I got to see Hisao before I went to sleep…”
A fresh fit of giggles overtakes you as you cuddle the doll into your chest.
