Welcome back to WrestleQuest! This is a SOL Quest in which you take the role of young Robin Winters, as he tries to make it big in the crazy world of pro-wrestling under the persona of The Ace.

Last thread, you were dragged on a double date, went on a regular date, and wrestled a pair of Ghoulish brothers. You live an odd life. Oh, and you watched your mentor and trainer put his career on the line on live television.

>MONDAY, MARCH 14th 2016

"His career... is over?" Kimberly muttered with wide-eyed shock.

Danny did a spit-take upon the announcement. "No way! I mean, I heard the rumours, but..."

"Is it really that surprising?" Angelo asked. "I mean, he's getting up there in years, and the retirement rumours have been floating around for a while now... Wait, you guys were trained by him, right? I guess if you didn't expect it..."

"H-he's not actually going to retire, right?" Kimberly asked, turning to you. "Ace, what do you think?"

>Nah, it's just a fake-out angle. Omega will be performing moonsaults into his sixties, believe me.
>Hmm, maybe he actually is calling it quits...
>I don't know. Starrcade is still two weeks away, a lot can change in that time.

"I guess so... but when has a big career vs. title match NOT ended in retirement?" Kimberly buries her face in her drink, worried.

"You know how retirements can be in this business," you reassure her. "It's probably only a temporary thing. Either way, we'll just have to wait until Starrcade."

"That reminds me!" Danny sprung up from his barstool, excited. "I'm having a Starrcade viewing party at my place. All of you guys are invited!"

"Sorry, I can make it that day," Jenny replied, leaning over the bar counter with a full bottle of vodka in her hand.

"What are doing on the 27th?" you ask her.

"Nothing, I just don't want to go... by the way, where's the big guy?"

You almost forgot about David. He'd be just as shocked to hear about Omega's retirement. "He's busy taking care of his cat, remember?"

Jenny stared at you wide-eyed, and proceeded to get right up to your face, so you could smell the raw stench of booze on her breath. "Oh yeah... tell anyone about that night, and you're a dead man, understood?"

She then backed off slightly. "That said... thanks for taking care of me while I was out of it."

>It's really no problem. You needed a place to crash, so I was happy to help out.
>You should really thank David. He did all the work.

"Yeah, you and your friends are okay folk..." Jenny trailed off, preventing herself from complimenting you further, and silently returned to her drink.

You feel a tap on your shoulder, and you turn to find Abby standing before you, smile on her face.

"Hey... great work out there tonight." She then pulled a pair of tickets out of her jean pocket and handed you one. "Uhh... I figured you might be interesting in maybe seeing a movie... you know, for our next date..."

"NEXT date?" Kimberly asked, surprised.

Her outburst seems to have startled Abby, who begins stuttering in your speech. "U-uhh... I... I'll talk to y-you later, Robin..." She walks off, joining the rest of her band.

"So the two of you went on a date? That's... huh." Kimberly took a sip of her drink.

>Yeah, we did. I like her.

Kimberly folded her arms and sighed. "Yeah, she seems nice... I guess I can't keep playing the protective best friend to any girl who talks to you. I keep forgetting we're supposed to be adults now..." She sets her drink on the bar counter. "Watch this for me, I'm going to properly introduce myself to your, uh... girlfriend?" She takes off, rather quickly, in the direction of Abby.

Danny sneaks up on you from behind and startles you when he speaks. "Women, eh? When did you become the popular one, eh? Where did this hidden talent with the ladies spring up?"

Before you have time to answer, you and Danny are approached by the now former TWA Champion, "The Chosen One" Owen Barnes. He extends a hand out to you. "Hey guys, great work out there tonight. I usually make it a point to introduce myself to all the new guys, but I've kinda had a lot on my plate lately. Let's amend that."

>Pleasure to meet you, Owen.

You shook Owen's hand and smiled. "It's good to finally talk to you in person. You were killing it as TWA Champion every night."

Owen gave a small chuckle. "Yeah... I'm going to miss that title. My last match with it was a good one, though. That's really all I can ask for." He then invited you and Danny to take a seat in a booth with him.

"Why'd you drop the title anyway?" Danny asked. "Is it because you're moving to UPW?"

Owen laughed as he pulled his Auburn hair out of his hair. "Yeah, I've heard the news too. Truth is, I have been in talks with UPW, but I'm not going anywhere until I've fulfilled all my duty here on the Indies and I feel ready. Steinberg helped me first get my foot in the door, and I'm still repaying him for that. I'm not jumping ship any time soon. The reason I dropped the title was simply that my time as Champion was up... I wanted to drop it to Adam Black, but Steinberg brought Orwin in, and with him being the bigger name, that's the direction he went." Barnes sighed and took a sip of his drink.

>Kassius Orwin is a long-time veteran, he's a worthy champion.
>Orwin is a pretty big name. He'll probably draw some new eyes to TWA.

"I guess you could say that. Don't get me wrong, the man's a veteran and an unbelievable talent, but... he can be... difficult." Owen took another sip of his drink. "To put it more bluntly... the guy's a total jerk. He's a total nightmare to work with, and with an ego the size of a blimp. Now that my reign as champion is over, I feel it's still my duty to stick around and keep him from running through the roster. I felt I'd have to warn you. Once he finds out you're the new guys, you're going to be the first ones he chooses to pick on. Don't let him bully you, but also don't try to confront him or engage him. He knows that Steinberg would never take your side over a top-draw like him. He's going to try to bait you into a fight, and get you fired because of it. I'll try to make sure that never happens, but you're going to have to watch out for yourself."

"Thanks for the warning," you tell him.

"Huh, sounds like someone should get the push to take that title off him soon," Danny pointed to himself with his thumbs. "Maybe a certain Diamond in the rough?" Apparently Danny has forgotten that he lost a #1 contender's match earlier in the night.

"Heh, maybe someday," Owen replied with a smile. "I'd pay to see it... by the way, I heard about that Career vs. Title announcement. That's wild... Kevin Omega's always been my favourite, it'd be sad to see him go. I was looking forward to maybe facing him some day in the future. I guess it's even weirder for you, knowing the guy personally. Do you mind me asking, what's he like in person?"

>He's a really cool guy, and an excellent teacher.

>[YOUR CONNECTION WITH OWEN BARNES HAS RISEN TO RANK 1]

"Huh, I expected as much," Owen replies. "Everything I've read about Omega says he's a big practitioner of Tough Love. He must have cared an awful lot, otherwise his students wouldn't be here right now."

"What, in a bar?" Danny asks.

"No, in this... never-mind." Owen spots the TWA's other resident main eventers, Adam Black and Miles Draven, out of the corner of his eye. "Sorry to take off, but I have some business to discuss with the guys. Here's my number, we should meet up again sometime and talk shop."

He takes off to meet with his friends, as you plan to relax and enjoy your glass of water. That is, until Danny pats you on the shoulder. "Uh dude, you may want to take a look at this." He points towards the situation that requires your attention.

Kimberly appears to be towering over a shrinking Abby and saying... something to her. You're too far away to hear, but it doesn't seem nice, as Abby's eyes are watering and she's shaking. After what appears to be some verbal berating at the hands of the Princess, Abby sprints out the door of the bar, tears flowing.

Well, that's just fantastic.

You quickly approach Kimberly, attempting to figure out exactly what's going on between Kimberly and Abby. "What just happened, Princess? I thought you were just going to chat with her?"

Kimberly shrugged her shoulders, nervously. "I was... and I just thought that since I'm your best, I should have a talk with her about you, and your relationship with her. I... I guess she just didn't like what I had to say..."

You shake your head. This relationship drama is becoming far more trouble than it's worth. Who are you even supposed to side with in this situation? To make matters worse, Danny decides to get involved for some reason, and points something out at Kimberly's feet.

"Hey Ace, aren't those your movie tickets?"

Sure enough, there they are. The movie tickets Abby gave you, the tickets you left by the bar when you went to talk with Barnes, were now lying at Kimberly's feet, torn in half.

"Well... I..." Kimberly managed to spit out.

"She yelled at the shy girl," Jenny apparently has chosen to join the conversation now, having witnessed the whole thing. "Real nasty stuff, said you'd never like someone like the band geek. Then, the princess tore up those tickets in the girl's face. Pretty brutal... and that's coming from me!" Jenny chuckled as she took a swig of her drink, while you and Danny stared at Kimberly.

The look on her face was one of panic. "I... it wasn't my... UGH, IDIOT!" She shoved past you and Danny, and ran for the door.

This is just becoming a mess.

This is becoming a serious headache, but you know what Kimberly's like when she's in a bad mood. There's nothing you could do to fix things right now. You let her storm out the door, as you pick the torn tickets off the floor and sigh. Danny pats you on the back.

"Welp... I'm not jealous of you any more, dude. What a mess..."

Wait, Danny was jealous of you? Since when?

The night winds down, as you and the rest of the crew exit the bar. As you step out onto the city streets, Kimberly is nowhere to be seen. Neither is Abby. You suppose Kimberly probably decided to walk back to her place, though you don't know where Abby lives. You rub your temples, trying to think of what to do.

You frantically dial up Abby's number, hoping to console the poor girl after what happened. It takes a while before there is finally an answer, as you hear Abby sniffling on the other end.

"Abby, are you okay?" you ask.

No words. Only the sounds of Abby's heavy breathing.

"Robin..." a meek voice from the other end whispers to you. "Do you... do you actually like me?"

"What?"

"The... the Princess said that you don't want to... be with me. She said you're just too polite to say no. So, is... is that true? I have to know. Do you want to date me? Yes... or no?"

You pause. You've been enjoying the time you spent with Abby, but you haven't given much thought to any kind of commitment, but now...

You decide to pop in one of your old Lucha tapes, perhaps take a look at the classic between Mr. Mystery and The Thousand Faced Man. You watch and take notes as the two men in the video soar through the air with the greatest of ease, like the true masters of the craft that they are.

Before you know it, several hours have passed. The sun sets in the sky, and you find yourself without any solid way to spend the night for the first time in a while. You decide the best thing to so is to go for a good Old-fashioned walk. Nothing clears the head better. You slip on your trainers and get moving. The feel of the nice cool air of the city hit your face is relaxing. You take a stroll around town, without a care in the world, until you pass by an alleyway and hear a very familiar voice from inside.

"You owe Tommy Ramon money."

You snap your head to the side, and are shocked to see David towering over a frightened man in a business suit.

"I-I'm sorry, that's all I have. I can get the rest to him by Friday... I swear!" the man screams at your friend, who keeps his hands in his pockets the whole time.

"You better, if you want to keep all of your fingers."

The man sprints from the alley as David lets him go, pushing past you. David catches a glimpse of you staring, before turning away.

"What the hell was that, David?" you demand.

"Sorry you had to see that. I didn't want you to catch me while I'm working," David replies, deadpan as ever.

Working? This is what David does for a living?

"So, this is your job? Why?"

David shrugs. "I don't have anywhere else to go. I need money somehow, and my scum-bag loan-shark of an uncle wanted me for this. I want to wrestle, but I also have bills to pay, and now a cat to feed." He brushes past you, non-chalant. "Don't tell any of the others. I'm starting to like them." He takes off into the night, leaving there reeling from what you just witnessed.

You're worried about David, but sharing secrets with the whole world isn't going to help the guy any. You decide it's best to keep this to yourself, and maybe talk to David about it some other time. You finish your walk and go back to your place to call it a night.

Putting the business yesterday aside, you decide to call up David. After all, he's expressed at least a little interest in being your tag team partner on Friday. Couldn't hurt to hit him up.

"Yo."

"Hey David, want to hang out?"

"Sure, I just finished... work. Meet me by the pier in about 20 minutes."

You get suited up and drive down to the pier, where you find David leaning against the railings with his back facing the ocean, and with a furry face poking out from out of his jacket pocket.

"This must be Jenny."

David adjusted his wool cap, pulling it lower over his eyebrows. "Yeah, I've had to start carrying the damn thing around with me. Can't leave it on it's own."

The former stray's eyes light up from David's coat, and it lets off a purr as you come near.

"Go ahead," David answers, as he pulls the Tabby out of his pocket and hands it to you. "Be careful, it scratches."

You rub the cat behind the ears as it lets off a soft purr in satisfaction. The nestles itself into your chest, when you hear a voice from behind.

"Well, look who it is!"

You turn to see Jenny close behind, though she takes a few steps back when you turn around to reveal the cat in your arms.

"Ugh, look at that thing! Put it away!"

"Shut up, we both know you love cats." It seems David isn't having any of it, as Jenny quickly resigns to petting the cat and whispering in it's ear.

She turns her head and looks to David. "Can I keep her now?"

"No."

Jenny growls. "What? Why not?"

"Because it's MY cat. Besides, a woman named Jenny with a cat named Jenny is just stupid."

"Well, it's not my fault you named the cat after me like a creep!"

You're beginning to feel like a third wheel in this situation. Fourth wheel, if you count the cat.

>Clear your throat awkwardly.

Jenny is firmly yelling in David's face, with him yelling in return, but as soon as you let out a small cough, her head snaps in your direction and she stares daggers at you. "You got a problem, Ace?"

"No, I-"

"Because this isn't about you! This is between me, the big guy..." she proceeds to take the cat off your hands. "And little DAVID here."

"You can't name the cat David just to spite me," the Kingpin replied.

"I can and I will!"

"No you can't. It's a girl. It doesn't make sense." David places his head in his hands before turning to you. "Look man, this might take a while, sorry about this. I'll talk to you tomorrow, at Diamond's thing."

Diamond's... thing? You realise you haven't checked your phone in a while.

>From: Danny

You forgot that tomorrow was Saint Patrick's Day. As you leave David and Jenny to their argument, you wonder whether you should go or not.

You decide that you should go to the party tomorrow. Sure it will take up your whole day, but everyone will be there. No point in passing up the opportunity to party with your friends. Still, evening has only begun to set, so you don't have to worry about that right away. You arrive back at the apartment and plop yourself down on the couch. You still haven't gotten a good answer out of David about Friday's show, but there's nothing you can do about it now. Just find something to fill the rest of your day with.

You flick on your tv and decide to watch some Code of Respect wrestling before going to bed. The majority of the show is standard fare, but you're pulled in by a match between Owen Barnes and Kassius Orwin on the card. For one, you're impressed that Owen seems to have a show to work on every night of the week and somehow doesn't break down. Secondly, you remember what Owen had to say about Orwin the other night in the bar. Is he really as bad as Owen claims? He seems to get a good number of jobs in the industry, and he couldn't manage that if he was difficult to work with... right? You decide it best to stay out of the man's way for the time being. You flick off the tv and go to bed.

>THURSDAY, MARCH 17th 2016

"Happy St. Patrick's Day! Welcome to Casa De Gable!"

Holy hell, you didn't realise Danny was so well-off before. His house was so huge, you thought you had the wrong place when you pulled up to it.

"Make yourself at home! I know you don't partake of the devil's liqueur, but it's St. Patrick's day, and I won't notice a few bottles from the closet to my right going missing!" Danny gives you a sly wink.

"Pretty much everyone, Ace!" Danny exclaims, patting you on the shoulder. "You decided to show up fashionably late!"

"I mean, you didn't tell me what time we would be start-"

"-FASHIONABLY LATE!" Danny yells as he ushers you into his living room, where you see something that bring a smile to your face.

Kimberly and Abby are present in the living room, and they're hugging. Well, Kimberly's hugging Abby while Abby awkwardly accepts it with no idea what to do with her hands, but it's a start. You guess the apology went well.

Before you can speak to either of them, you're approached by Owen Barnes, drink in hand. "Hey man, how's it going? I've already chugged back a few of these bad boys. I usually take things in moderation, but I'm Irish, so when this day rolls around it's pretty much my job to turn into a walking stereotype. Also..." he leans in close and whispers, "You're not wearing any green. Some dastardly heels may take advantage of that."

>Uh, thanks for the warning, Owen. I'll watch out for that.
>Come on, we're not 12. Nobody cares about that.

Live the gimmick.

By the by, I think we should ask Danny to tag up with us. It'd be returning a favour for him (because we helped him with the twins), and he doesn't have a mysterious persona to protect so he'll answer us right away. Plus he finished first in our class, so we know the guy's got talent.

>>

As if answering a challenge, Danny approaches from behind and pinches your shoulder. "NOT WEARING GREEN! Just noticed." He takes a sip of his drink while you glare at him. That's going to be an annoyance, but you could set it aside and enjoy the rest of the par-

"Nice place you got here, Diamond."

-Wait, who was that? It sounded like...

"If you're this loaded, I don't see why you bother with this wrestling crap."

Kassius Orwin.

"Why did you invite him?" you whisper to Danny.

"I invited everyone!" Danny frantically replied.

Kassius cracks his knuckles as he enters the room. "Especially when that shitty dancing doofus gimmick isn't going to get you anywhere. Then again, I don't think any gimmick can carry this guy, am I right?"

"Lay off it Kassius," Owen says, "you're a guest in the guys house. The least you can do is not be an ass."

Kassius laughs as he turns his attention to you. "And this is the other one, right? The Ace? The Anime Superhero? Bet you wish you were Japanese. Probably jack-off to cartoon girls every night."

"Actually, I'm half Ja-"

You don't get to finish your sentence, as Kassius lands a punch on your left arm. It hurts. A lot. You clench your fist in a ball, trying not to sock him back, as he leans in.

"You aren't wearing green. I just had to."

"Okay, that's enough!" Owen got between the two of you. "Stop picking on the new guys just because you can."

Kassius huffs. "Fine, I'm more interested in meeting the other guy. You know, The Kingpin..."

Oh no. If Kassius messes with David, David will kill him. Then David will be fired. You're going to have to stop them from meeting... but how?

Kassius is moving fast, and you have to say something, anything to stop him and keep him here, but every idea you come up with is... well, stupid. In the end, you just to decide to yell out one at random.

"Hey Kassius, how about a friendly arm-wrestling contest?" you blurt out, causing his head to turn.

You nervously roll up your shirt's sleeve, showing you're serious about the challenge. This illicits an "Oh dear god no," from Kimberly in the corner of the room.

Kassius burst into laughter, and proceeds to clear a nearby coffee table with his arm. "You're on, rookie!"

You suppose you're stuck doing this now, as you place your arm over the table, and stare Orwin down.

"Are you an idiot?" Kimberly whispers in your ear as the living room crowd gathers around the contest.

"Yes, you've always known this," you answer, as you and Orwin lock up.

As you and Kassius match up, you realise something very quickly... you're stronger than him. In fact, he isn't very strong at all. You easily have the advantage in the contest, and he knows it. His face grimaces as he tries hard to budge your arm to no avail, and his eyes widen as you begin to exert pressure on him. As you push his arm further and further back, his expression becomes angrier, and in a flurry of rage and pride... he kicks your leg.

You lose your balance and he slams your hand back, smacking it badly off the table. What the hell? This guy is reaching cartoonish levels of assholedom. As he raises his arms in victory, Abby rushes to your arm, holding it to make sure you're not injured.

"That... that was cheating!" she exclaims, in a voice louder than you've ever heard from her before.

Kassius just laughs in return. "I won, didn't I? The real world isn't like wrestling, cheatings the only way to get ahead. You should know that. Danny approaches Kassius with his fists clenched. "I'm sorry dude, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave. You can't treat my best bud like that and expect to be welcome here."

Kassius pressed his hands to his face in a mocking gesture. "Oh no! Whatever will I do? It's not like a was just making a brief appearance here before ditching for a much better party anyway! Pfft, you losers know that TWA is a laughing stock, right? The only reason I'm here is because Steinberg's throwing a truckload of money at me because even his Chosen One is jumping ship to bigger and better things. Whatever, I'm out of here."

Kassius storms out the door, as the rest of you are left standing in the living room awkwardly.

"Geez, you weren't kidding about that guy, were you, Owen?" Danny asks. "All he needed was a moustache to twirl to complete the set!"

"It's no problem. I've been doing this for a while now, so it's my duty to watch out for people. This business man... it can eat you up." Owen sighed. "I asked Steinberg not to bring him in... but he didn't have enough faith in Adam or Miles to carry the company once I had left. With all the money he's throwing towards Kassius, I'm worried he's going to run TWA into the ground."

You also decide to thank Danny for kicking the guy out. "Hey dude, don't worry about it. It was my fault for inviting him here in the first place."

"Also... best bud?" you ask.

Danny smiles back. "Well... aren't you? Anyway, let's get this party back on track! How about a game of never-have-I-ever?"

Kimberly whacks Danny on the arm. "Ew, no!"

"Hey, you can't do that! I'm wearing green!"

Danny and Kimberly's argument is cut short by David and Jenny entering the room. "Hey, what's going on in here?" David asks.

Abby gave a little chuckle as everyone else pooled in around the coffee table. Danny sits to your left and passes you a water bottle. "So you can play along, too!"

"So, who's going to start things off?" Kimberly asks.

Danny stands, places his left hand over his eyes like a blindfold, and wildly points with his right. "How about... you, Abbey!"

"Wha?!" Abby almost spills her drink in surprise. She shrinks further and further into the chair as she tries to come up with an answer. "Uhh... never have I ever... kissed a guy on the mouth..."

"Wow, starting off super-tame here!" Jenny yells, as she swigs her booze. Kimberly and Miles Draven also drink.

"D'oh, I meant to say 'Person', not guy!" she tells you immediately afterwards. "I just wanted to find out if you had... you know..."

>I have.
>I haven't.

>>I have.
It happened once freshman year. It was at the most popular girl at schools house. We were playing spin the bottle and I landed on some dude.

"Only once, huh?" Abby laughed. "I guess I don't seem that bad, then..."

"Okay, who's next?" Danny announces.

"I will go next," Miles Draven raises a hand and shift his body upright. The inexplicably grey-haired powerhouse is even taller than David, and speaks in a proper tone. No wonder his gimmick is that of an intellectual bruiser. "Never have I ever courted a fellow wrestler."

"Oh come on, you're just targeting me with that one!" Owen protested.

"You've dated another wrestler?" Kimberly asks.

"Several," the English Adam Black snorts, while pressing his glasses to his face. "Owen here's what you'd call a... man-whore. Let's see... there was Hayley Havok, Molly Law, Jessica Van Dyne, and who could forget Pro-"

"Okay, we don't need to hear them all," Owen said as he took a gulp of his drink. "Princess, how about you go next?"

"Me? Uh, okay..." Kimberly placed a finger to her chin, before coming to a conclusion. "Okay... Never have I ever... told someone I loved them. Romantically."

Owen, Danny and Jenny all drink, as Kimberly glances over to you.

You see Kimberly breath a sigh of relief as you don't drink from your water bottle. She then turned her attention to Owen. "So which one of your wrestler girlfriends did you say that to? How many of them?"

"Just one," he answered, looking solemnly into his drink.

"Oh... well, how about you Jenny? You want to talk about your-"

"No."

"Okay."

"I think we're ignoring that Diamond took a drink," David answered.

"Hey, you're right!" Kimberly's eyes widened. "Who the hell did you ever say 'I love you' too?"

Danny stared at Kimberly. "I said it to you, remember? On our second week of wrestling school?"

Kimberly's mouth is agape. "That? I thought you were joking! We had just met!"

"Yeah, I know... it's two years ago now, anyway. I was just being a dumb kid enamoured by a pretty girl who liked wrestling as much as I did. I didn't mean anything."

Trying to lighten the mood, Danny pinched your arm. Damn it, why didn't you wear green today. "Okay Ace, your turn!"

You mumble, trying to come up with something good. "Uh... Never have I ever..."

Kimberly's face turns beet red as she takes a sip of her drink. "No fair... you knew about that..."

Kimberly, David, Danny, Jenny and Owen all drink.

"Wow, you managed to get a lot of them," Adam laughed, "Good job."

"I guess this was something that happened in wrestling school?" Owen asked.

"Yeah..." Danny ran his fingers through his hair. "Me, Princess and Kingpin all ran around the dojo naked once as part of a bet."

"Omega found us... it was mortifying!" Kimberly buried her face in her hands.

"He had us cleaning the ring mat for a month afterwards," David muttered.

You turn to Jenny. "And what's your story?"

Jenny chuckles to herself. "You ever play a game called Strip Chicken? I always win."

"And you, Owen?"

"Last St. Patrick's Day, I got really drunk. I plan on keeping all of my clothes today, though." He inverts his beer bottle, showing that it's now empty. "I guess that means I'm out. Who's nex-"

"ME!" Danny burst forward. "Never have I ever performed a sexual act with another person in this house!"

He waits for a moment with a smug smile on his face, which soon fades when nobody drinks. "Hey, why aren't you two drinking!" he points at Jenny and David.

"Because we didn't do anything," David answered.

"Also, it's weird that you just admitted you've never had sex in your own home," Kimberly added.

"ADAM, YOU'RE UP NEXT!" Danny shouted over her.

"Okay... never have I ever... intentionally hurt someone. Physically or emotionally."

"Wow, pretty dark, Adam."

Adam shrugged. "I thought this was a game of self-reflection..."

You find yourself in an awkward situation. You take a drink, remembering the brawl you had with those drug pushers last week outside the gym... and you're not the only one to drink. In fact, everyone does. Even Adam, who asked the question, sneaks a quick sip in. Even Owen grabs another drink just to answer the question. You honestly don't know who you're more shocked by, Abby or Owen. Hell, the idea of Danny hurting someone intentionally is bizarre to you. Accidentally and absent-mindedly, definitely. But intentionally?

"Wow, I don't even know where to start with this one..." Kimberly mumbles.

"How about we don't ask anyone their stories on this one?" Owen replies. "I don't feel very keen on sharing mine, at least."

"I can live with that." Kimberly glances over at Abby, then looks down at her feet.

Thankfully, the life in the room doesn't die, and the game keeps going for a while longer. Eventually, things turn to the whole group chatting and enjoying each-others company. The party continues well into the night, when people start to take off.

[YOUR CONNECTION WITH KIMBERLY HAS RISEN TO RANK 3!]
[YOUR CONNECTION WITH ABBY HAS RISEN TO RANK 3!]
[YOUR CONNECTION WITH DAVID HAS RISEN TO RANK 3!]
[YOUR CONNECTION WITH ADAM HAS RISEN TO RANK 1!]
[YOUR CONNECTION WITH MILES HAS RISEN TO RANK 1!]

As the night winds down, you say your goodbyes to Danny and thank him for having you.

"Hey dude, it's no problem. Just make sure you're here for my Starrcade party next week! It's going to be twice as great!"

As you make it to the door, you are approached by David.

"This was a good night. I enjoyed it."

"Yeah, so did I..." You trail off, remembering to ask David something. "So, about that tag match..."

"Are you still asking about that?" For the first time, you hear David laugh. "Did you really think for a second I was going to turn you down? I'm sick of one minute matches! Of course I'm gonna team with ya', moron!"

Awww, everything went better than expected! That was a really good session.

I'm starting to really wonder about some backstrories, not to mention stats, for our friends. I may have to start taking guesses.
>>
>>45973809
Great as always Booker, one question though, is it possible to get negative connection ranks? For example, with Kassius we should have some king of a mark or something as far as relations go, but "connection" doesn't really cover it, it would be some kind of anti-connection. Or is that kind of thing just something you'll track for yourself?
>>
>>45973809
Good stuff, thanks.
>>
>>45974081
It is something I was going to track for myself, but I don't know. If you want, I can mark his connection rank as -1 or something.

I don't care too much, just thinking that if/when we see him again it could be a few days/weeks and people might forget or be new and not have known in the first place.

>>45974224
I am actually working on a new pastebin outlining all the side characters, so I could easily fit that in there. It should be ready by tomorrow's thread.

Thank you Booker. A lot of emotional effort went into this. You are doing great!
