I don't mean to intrude, but I've been seeing these threads a lot, and was wondering where I could go to find out more about this?

Do you guys have a wiki/resource page or do I have to lurk and pick things up as I go?

Now that my character has survived a floor, I feel comfortable writing a back story and drawing a portrait.

Players who want to share a back story as well: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w2JWyJVOfDtGxOdOVtFI1eMI2gkDsxMi3aC-XfLpZas/edit#
DO IT!

-“Ah, companions! Fear not my new fellows, I will stand bravely besides you! ONWARDS!” With that first sentence, Sir Walter Nut wandered into the Wyrd Hunt, seemingly coming out of nowhere. Although he didn’t seem to have a clue where he was and why he was fighting, fight he did. Wearing 2/3 of an old battered armour, a rusty frying pan strapped to his shoulder and occasionally shouting about bravery and noble quests… One could easily spot that Sir Nut was in fact a little mad…

During the days of Avalon, the young lad grew up in a wealthy family. He began his training under the finest swordsmen of the land, hoping to become like knights of legend. Going on heroic quests, saving princesses and slaying dragons, that was the life he imagined as knight. The truth was obviously very different. When Avalon was threatened by the Mal, Walter was recruited among many to fight and protect the kingdom. During the battle, he got separated from his company and swallowed by the chaos. For a time that can’t be described with numbers, Nut was alone and wandering places that can’t be described with words.
Yet now he is here, still dreaming of valiant quests, fighting for his comrades and talking to figments of his imagination. -

And speaking of that, I went Outside as Human and came back a Kerbold and it confuses me. It terrifies me, actually. I can still hear the whispering. Jackie asked an near omniscient, all knowing eing what the best flavor of ice cream was before he kicked me off this mortal coil. So I know what the best flavor of ice cream is. In fact, I can't stop knowing.

But I think my dimesionally twisted and personally abused body can possibly offer Science some good, so I'm signing up for the Volga Science Program. It's the only reasonable thing to do. I don't know, maybe it'll be a marker stone on the way to improvement.

So yeah, gimme that pen. I'll fill out your forms. If nothing else my ravaged carcass is a testament to the tenacity of Volga. So run your tests. If you have that can detect, uhm, outsider interference I'd be pretty happy about that. I want to make sure my skull is /mine/.

Good day, my friend! What you see here is the fine work of professionals in dismantling ancient and ferocious god-monsters, after accidentally summoning a demon army in order to retrieve a freshly canine comrade. All in a day's work for the Wyrd Hunt!

Seriously, these madmen have murdered at least three eldritch horrors, and now we're planning on going to hel in order to exact an extra-dimensional prison break. Please leave your sanity at the door.

The one group of people between the nations of men and monsters who knows what is going on and is in a position to stop it, trying to stop at least 2 groups of dangerous individuals from starting a war that would mean the death of a megaton of people in the short term, and everyone else in the long one.

Because we had to talk to people who are technically known to most people as horrible, horrible terrorists (And are in fact, not a terrible bunch to be honest, just don't mind their eating habits) to find this out, we don't have a lot of support from major groups except for those we've met and because of our 'unusual' make up of runners and connections, some of them might even try to kill us.

But the people we are fighting are much, much worse, all bastards is bastards but some bastards are /Bastards/. And these people are those Bastards with a capitol B

Congratulations, you're on the front line of a shadow war. The price of success might be high but the cost of failure doesn't even bear thinking about.

Just gonna put this Out there for both of you knew guys because it's been a cluster fuck recently.

This game has a lot of players, and recently some were playing two characters at once. Dual boxing is breaking the spirit of the rules, and Monday (the QM) takes it poorly because it massively increases his work load, and screws up newbies coming after you guys. So don't do it.

Welcome aboard!

>>45969573
There's always logistics. The subfloor is probably going to be more along the lines of smash and grab. We grab our allies, any helpful allies and then get out as soon as possible. Hell, we might even have people withdrawing mid floor.
>>
>>45969668
>>45969741

Still, the whole shoot OR move deal for me is a bit... hard to work with under these kind of conditions. I mean, sure, I could move 15 (18 if I take a cyber leg) tiles a turn, but I'm incredibly vulnerable after that.

Can't we try to train one of those salamanders? You know, a shock and awe kind of insertion to mask a quieter infiltration by our quick people?

Hey guys.

Right now I'm going with spindly fingers, but considering I will not level up until after the whale fight, what skill do you guys think would be the best one for both the prison and the whale fight?

>Shot in the Dark: Let's me attack through rig tiles, even with inventory items
>Spindly Fingers: Rig actions allow me to preform 2 actions through rigs.
>Chain Guillotine: Massive fucking damage buff, as long as I put somebody in the 'middle' of 3 or 4 rigs. Target must be guilty.
>Life Sentence: Any creature I put inside of an iron maiden may be transformed into a weapon, but they must be guilty.

So far a lot of support for the life sentence. But I feel like one of the other 3 would be more useful for the whale fight.
>>
>>45971067
I blame that on character. Please do not blame the profession.

>>45971131

>>
>>45971131

We got other means of damage increases, at least 4 hunters with suspend on hand, and you can never really say no to more action economy.

Another holiday sketch. I was thinking about revisiting the spear wielder and make adjustments. She doesn't nearly have enough non-Asian style sword guards in her armour. The idea behind her was that she's affiliated to a loose collection of fighters who have an interest in perfecting their art for various reasons. To that end, they go about challenging one another to duels or matches of skill. Not necessarily to the death, but instances of that type is not uncommon.
The sword guards she wears on her person are supposedly taken from those she had defeated. Perhaps starting with members of her own school.

A nod to the ninja with the crazy eye action, his sword is pretty much the only thing of note. It's basically a marriage of a sword and jutte(/jitte), having a catching/binding guard.

Not much to say about this pair. Definitely a rogue that has been around a while, no longer having her starter prison garb. (Totally a chord user.)
A militiaman, a merc, or ??? - He's armed with basically a heavy rifle. I imagine in Floors, rifles such as these would see wider application.

An open book at the bottom. Above is the four heads of the chimera. Above that with a curve (being representative of above ground) is two of the prong things of the dial. Above it is a vertically-oriented oval; on one side a devil is walking out, the other, a dog.

But they don't tell the whole story, do they?

I mean, the first one could've at least included a scythe for the whole lantern reap bit.

Moth's Flame just shows a burning moth - there's no iconography indicating why we were there, or what we did.

Nothing about the airship is shown in the one with the board of education!

The whole book heist, Golgoth, or anything about the pumpkins is shown in the one for luxendarc either!

I mean, look at coins, state seals, actual troop patches! There's a story or at least some relevant symbolism packed in there.

Take, for example, the symbol for Executioner Force Bravo from SQ, shown here. B, for, well, Bravo. Fractal star is the common iconography of the human and executioner forces. The bear and the big dipper is a whole reference to the "north to freedom," and also referencing the role of the big dipper in old greek/roman lore as the protector of the little dipper (rest of humanity), as Bravo Force's ultimate goal was freeing humanity (by killing a whole bunch of shit).

Also, B is for bear and bravo, haha. Cleverness.

>If someone is willing to clean it up, I am willing to draw out alternatives to the current iconography, although it will take time and it will be shit considering I don't have a tablet or any similar tool.
>>
>>45975528
our symbol is the horned jackolantern ontop pierced by a hunting spear.
>>
>>45975748

I'm not talking about our symbol, I'm talking about the rest of the stuff on the banner, and using the old iconography in SQ as an example.

>I personally think that if we make a patch version (because why not), we need more skulls, scrollery with our name on it (you can never go wrong with either of those) and more bladed instruments in the pumpkin.
>>
>>45975854
>patch should be the face of a man and a monster fused.
>>
>>45975528
I think we're going to run out of room pretty quickly if we get too elaborate. We have quite a number of floors to go before our story's done. The details might be better served in a book.
Still, I'm not of any particular opinion on the matter. What's SQ? I'm pretty sure you're not talking about San Quentin.
>>
>>45975934

No, see, with the patch, since you're working on a 2D surface, you can afford to throw in more stuff.

That would be the squad patch for our monster squad (if we decide to do something like that).

You need to incorporate the same elements as the flag pole icon (hunting spear, pumpkin head), but you can make it more complex/add more stuff. This is comparable to real life flag pole tips and various US military organizations; the flag pole tip is usually just an eagle, but the seals/flags of the organizations incorporate the eagle and other stuff.

>>45975980
You don't need to make them too big. You could make ones only slightly larger than the current symbols without it being too elaborate.

SQ is Skirmish Quest, the earliest iteration of the skirmish games (of which Floors descends from).
>>
>>45976091

>>
>>45978539
The reward system is not for your class my young little freshling. It's for the crazies who work for the Volgons, and associates.
>>
>>45978539

Main objective of Floors:
Reach the stairs to gain a level.

Other progression methods:
Gain gear and weapons for stats, gain zenny and complete quests to unlock some skills and gain even more perks.

Extra Credit: Every Floor has a Floor Boss, it is optional to fight a floor boss since fighting them results in death. Due to their high challenge rating, fighting a Floor Boss and defeating them will earn participants an [Extra Level]

Every time you level you gain a skill in your class, Once you reach corridor you may transition to an advance class you qualify for.

Alright. So its been brought up that using a bloq doesn't really increase the engine output any more than a crystal.

So a gemcutter was grabbed during this floor, but it was lost in a botting string and non updated inventory.

What happens to it?

Hey, I don't think you can become an adept before you can take an adept skill?
>>
>>45975528
It sounds like you are trying to draw a cartoon rather than a symbol. Don't get me wrong, I like how you want to tell a story, but we could draw a symbol with a chimera and a chain and a scythe and some hunters and a salamander and some more chains for the hunchback and triggers ears and the helmet someone found and the bottle of water someone drank...
You'd don't need an intricate design with a lot of information. What you need is a strong, singular image that gets people wondering about what's behind it and still looks pleasing.
Keep the rich stories for the books.

Rolled 3 (1d6)

Carefully Bubblewulf examines the castor which is cut in half. He takes notice of how the pieces might have once fit together and proceeds to an intact one and begins dismantling the limbs from the torso. He deploys his maiden, carefully placing the limbs inside first, and then the torso on top.

Leaving the maiden open with the pieces inside, he goes to find Velen, and leads them and their crow summon to the maiden.

He begins to ecstatically explain the strangeness of the alloy that makes up a castors body. How it contains elastic and mnemonic properties allowing it to be compressed and return to its previous shape after compression like memory foam.

He then begins to describe the marvel of craftmanship the Llammas maidens carry. How despite being sturdy they where also slightly elastic and could contain a little more than first thought. He described his initial shock and awe when was able to contain a salamander head in a previous maidenand how it closed with a suprising force that crushed the hard skull within, saving him the effort of what he thought would be a difficult task.

He said all of this with the most genuine smile and most convincing bullshit attitude he could. Standing He stood between the maiden and the crow in a way that did not allow it to get a full view.

And before the crow could get closed to examine his claims on either the Castor or the maiden, he quickly made a prayer, allowed the maiden to snap shut, and rolled the dice of fate.

True, but a glowing eyeball says barely anything of the what and why's of that action.

I mean, here, look at this thing which I just scribbled up for lanternreap.

>Forgot that I couldn't migrate pictures from my old phone, had to make do with MS Paint free hand

See? Lantern, scythe (for reap) and a place holder for something like a skull or a blood mage mask (I can't draw that with the tools I have, sue me). There's also the Chain of Goya, because I'm pretty sure a few of us got smeared by it and the giant who wielded it. See? It says a lot more than a broken lamp does.

Like the fact that I can't draw for shit, holy shit.

I notice we still haven't sorted out the Airship fuel. As I've said, and it's been noted, using a bloq to fuel the airship is either overkill or impossible (+12d6 turns would blow the engines and kill us all).

We do, however, have to Crystals in the hold that we took from the Warmachine Pest Control and it will help power the airship to gain more turns. Because we're dangerously close to entering Crystal Corridor territory, and I do not want to lose our chance at rescuing people because of an oversight, I am authorizing the use of these two crystals to gain extra turns...

now. Kommandant Burktold told me to predict his wishes, and in absence of further instruction I will not risk us losing turns to an accounting error.

So our accounting looks like the following:
>Use 2 Pyracyte Crystals from the Airship Hold to gain +2d6 turns.
>I am using Graves is Seasoned Pilot and his bonus applies to all those rolls and that they will not go below 3.

Base Advancement: 1+4+3 = 8
Navigator Bonus = 2
Pilot Bonus = 6
Conquest = -5
Total = 11+21+???? = 32+X

Seasoned Pilot [Graves]
[D6 Rolls do not go below 3]
>>
>>45981529
Yeah, but no, but okay. It's a discussion of taste, I like the singular images more than an intricate one. I'm fine if I'm alone in this, but we should perhaps have a little vote about it.

Here's an other argument that isn't about taste however: The banner is a bit of a time capsule, we add something on there that fits the moment each floor. If we retroactively change that banner up, it will mess with the authenticity. It will no longer have it's magic, it's just a drawing...
Consider this time pyramid in Germany: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_pyramid
Each 6 years they add another concrete block, so the building of the pyramid is an effort that spans years and years of historic events. Now imagine if the 5th block was supposed to be placed but someone said 'you know what? This concrete doesn't do it for me, let's make the thing out of metal instead!' And then he got rid of the 4 placed blocks and adds 5 metal blocks instead. It would defeat the purpose wouldn't it? That's how I feel about the banner.
>>
>>45981627

At this point, it's just making scribbles in MS paint in the vain hopes that someone will take the overall layout and run with it.

>>45981639
Well, that horrid abomination of "art" is just an example. You make a fair point about retroactively changing stuff.

However I am still of the opinion that the images can stand to have more complexity to capture what went down. They don't need to be a scene, but they should have something more substantial. Otherwise, it looks like a bunch of random icons in my opinion.

>Doing something for the last mission will be a bitch, considering how much shit went down. I mean, I think 1/3rd of all our casualties took place last floor.
>This would be so much easier if our banner was just a kill banner of all the unique shit we've murdered. I mean, we're the wyrd hunt. That makes sense, right?
>>
>>45981627
Oh, I somehow rolled 4d6. I'm not good at Engines. What are you all looking at me for? I'm d dog, not a pilot or an Alquemist. Well at least I didn't blow anything up. First two rolls apply.

Assuming this is all valid, our Current Turn Total stands at:

Base Advancement: 1+4+3 = 8
Navigator Bonus = 2
Pilot Bonus = 6
Conquest = -5

Total = 11+21+7= 32+7 = 39.

>Also there is an accounting error, since that roll of 1 is below Graves "Seasoned Pilot" bonus of min-3, and the navigator is as well. If his bonus applies (and it should to all d6 rolls), we should be at 42 turns. I will leave that to more qualified hands.

SO WHAT THIS MEANS THEN:

It will take us 10 turns to dwelve into the Subfloor of Pnumaether to rescue our friends, which means we can do that reliably with a Turn Timer of 29 before the Mal eats our faces. Considering our usual gamut of face-eating is 10-16 turns, that is very, very good.

We deployed on Floor 5, HIGH ROAD, with 42 turns. As of our Exit of 39, our total time loss is 3 turns.
>Assuming Graves Bonus, our total time loss is zilch

That means in two days and a confusing timeline, you all managed to beat a demon horde, defeat a chimera, prevent the stairs from experiencing Outsider Apocalypse and throw this old dog a bone.

I'm proud of you, nice job. I don't think the Mal will get to us today.

It had been a long battle and Khya was happy to get a moments peace while Lifemare drank (or is it absored) it's fill of the Chimera's blood. "So it seems a nice drink of Chimera blood did improve your mood after all", Khya chuckled at the slight rumble of irritation she felt coming from the Reaper Spirit. She gave a final look at the Chimera, laying dead in it's lair, smiled, turned and floated off through the tomb towards the hunter camp. As she passed through the room where Patches died, she paused and whispered a quick Prayer of Guidance, hoping his spirit would find the Path even in death. Her own path lead her up and in the the Hunter fort. There behind a building she found her prize, the severed head of a blood mage. She studied the head for a long moment before carefully wrapping it and with a few equipment changes placing it in to her bag.

Hey Armistan, you got a minute?

I've got a few questions for you, in case you don't mind answering. I'm wondering.

The thing I'm wondering the most is, well - how do you reload your gun? You've got a case in 1 hand and a gun in the other. How do you reload? You don't have any spare hands to do it. You clearly managed out there on the field, but you never put the case down, so... how do you do it?

You've signed an Arms Contract; what do you get with that? Who's it a contract with? And I know what the Red Market offers when we visit, but what does it offer on a contractual basis?

What do you get when you sub deliver things? My gun is in dire need of cleaning, and it could use a scope and a grenade launcher and a high definition motion sensor. Could I get all that delivered? What about a bomb?

A lit bomb targetted at someone else?

Someone in Sight range can begin working for you as soon as Dungeon phase. Even if its the enemy. You seal the deal with a contract. They MUST sign it and you MUST Follow through to the best of your ability. You can only have one Bodyguard. since them's the rules. They follow you and dont exactly leave your sight. That part I can't explain. They even watch you while you sleep

"Moonsaber, calm down. You're a hunter. And you picked a nice spread of skills. Hook and Pull is your staple, stick behind some nice knight or near some mages and pull enemies into a line for them to obliterate.

Suspend is another nice one for support, hang back, snag somebody by the ankle and lift them up for everybody to beat on like a bloody pinata. And blood lust lets you take buffs that normally effect only monsters, as well as fill your HP over the top for every killing blow you make."

He thinks for a moment, "Hunting is a nice, steady job for the career murderer. Our job is to keep people safe, usually by killing other folks or monsters, but also by pulling them from danger. It's what I do most of the time. You really don't have anything to worry about."

Those are not the words a shivering boy needs to hear Hetros! What he needs is to /feel/ the adventure!
Oh I was once a squire like you, not knowing the glory of a noble quest! Yet I followed my superiors into battle. It wasn't long before I was facing my first foe: an unwashed brute with a thirst for blood! His eyes were red with fire... His mouth dripping with foam... His hands like tiny claws... His tail like a bushy red scarf... Oh he was fierce all right! But in the heath of the moment, my blade did the talking!
And that, young lad, is the moment when you'll realise what it means to be a hero! When you feel the weight of the entire kingdom on your shoulders as you slay the vile creature that was threatening it! That moment, you wont be afraid any more!
AHAHAHA, ADVENTURE!
*runs around, slashing his word through the air*

I do not trust those who willingly bind themselves with chains other than those of oaths, camraderie, and friendship. I do not trust those who toss away themselves for power. I trust even less those whose nature compels them to feed on the still living flesh of thinking beings, you have done right by me Livia, as has Kaz and Fleur in the past. But your very natures will one day, if you do not die before it, force you to betray us. Even Jenny, to my mind, is less of a loose cannon than any of you, only more dangerous by degree than Ziegfried for lacking restraints."

>Staring at Livia
"Can you swear that you won't feed on an ally if you are without any other option? Can you insure that you will never by your new nature to turn on us out of hunger and the need to sate it?"

>He then turns to look at the lux sworn members of the group
"And you, you swear allegiance, your very souls, to an entity who is both immortal and a feeder of human flesh, though they are just and proven to be as Ghouls, capable of subsisting on the flesh of the dead, which is no crime to my mind, they have also shown that that power can be TAKEN, and it will STILL chain you to some degree, you will be expected to obey the new might, as Polgrom was expected to obey Veritas. Polgrom showed us that it can be broken by some means, preventing such a pact-holding entity from destroying or hurting you on a whim, but Rabbitspaw also showed us that as long as the original form of that pact-holder exists, then damage can be done to you through it, your very actions might be controllable."

"Can you swear that you'll never be put at odds with your allies here? By some stricture of ancient law? Mortals are beings of paradox, we are being who cannot exist by absolutes, because to be absolute is to be unchanging and immutable, only immortals can exist by absolutes. And to be bound to such an entity is to be bound to something that is ultimately alien and unable, through no fault of their own, to operate as we do. The ideal heaven for Veritas is not going to be the ideal heaven for the rest of us, and with such a gap, can you ever truly trust such a being not to abuse the pact made with it?"

>He straightens, still speaking to those present,
"I am your ally even now, and will fight to protect your lives to the best of my ability, my goal is to insure as many of us survive to see our goals, whatever they might be, completed as possible. I will shed blood for you, I will see to it that people reach the stairs, or the airship, and that lives are saved. But do not ask me to unconditionally trust, nor lie about giving such trust, to anyone whose actions and decisions are no longer fully their own, and have no true means of controlling it should they lose control, only methods that delay that loss, and might one day be impossible to enact."

That is fact, that day may be delayed indefinitely if you prepare well enough, but that does not change the fact that that day is in your future, and the future of every Midian here. ENOUGH!

I will not stand for such bickering and sniping among us. Hetros I understand your concerns and in some sense share your worry. However these are our fellows, they have been with us for a while and have shown no ill intent. Recent changes aside, they have earned the right to be treated with respect.

Livia, you and the other Midians, deserve the respect your actions have earned. I am sorry this outburst occurred. But do not think the requirements of your status do not make many uneasy, especially given the freshness of the change. Hetros was the one to put voice to the concerns others may share with him. I have faith you and the others can and will keep matters under control, but until you have proven you can do so, it is not unexpected for there to be concern or worry. Time is needed to put these concrens to rest.

One last word, ANY member of the Hunt who raises hands against another will answer to me (and I hope a few others since I am only a Guide). Disagreements and even arguements are expected and in many ways helpful. Just try to remember we are all in this together, and the person you quarrel with today, may be the person you need to save your life tomorrow.

What an amazing vessel! Where did you get such a thing?

Oh by the way are there any [K]nights willing to give a newcomer some advice?

I have some specific minimum loot requests.

I'd like:

Chimera (Snake Head)
1 Moblin Dagger
1 Hydraulic Claw
1 Chainsword
1 Vilord Shield
1 Mace
1 Axe
Either a pyracite bloq or half of all the Teras crystals & shards.

If you'd like you could hand off the Demon tainted items if you thought I could handle them but I won't request them specifically.

>>45994371
Make certain to specify your facing at the end of movement. Keep facing the enemy. Don't get too fancy early on. You'll pick up some tricks later based on what advance class etc. you want.

Also a lot of power comes from unpredictable shit like gear. What advance class are you thinking of going? It changes your development significantly.

>Either a pyracite bloq or half of all the Teras crystals & shards.
This seems outlandish.
The Bloqs are needed to power the Airship, as we have burned the last two pyracite crystals we have in the hold, those bloqs represent our entire fuel supply.

A full half of the Teracite crystals and shards?
You are but one of nearly 40 that fought on the field. and you call these minimums?

i don not see this happening.
>>
>>45994436
"At least one of the Axes we need to give to Justin Case, as he's going Paladin from guide and will need the extra stopping power. But otherwise I don't see much problem, but I'd wait until these things get sorted out officially."
>>
>>45994658
Weiss works well with any weapon. Though I am biased due to being a midian, and the fact that my bare fists do more damage than some people's entire equipment (base STR 5 + 2 Vilord Armor = 7 ATK fists).

You will not go wrong with any set of equipment as Weiss.

>>45994677
Whatever you feel. But I'd put forward that I was pretty damn necessary for that victory over Quaga in the first place. And that was with me holding back to avoid collateral damage.

I think you'll agree my other demands are as almost nothing. Hence why I pushed for the crystals.

>>
By the way, Livia, do you still have the Mooreble ?

Could I take it ? If that's okay with you, and everyone, of course. I think I have an idea.
>>
>>45994750
We'll share the availabilities fairly, as we've always done and always will. Crystals are expensive and hard to get, so we'll put those in the group bank for due consideration and keep them there as insurance. We need them for empowering our airship and for bolstering spells and even as Quemist capacities.

If your shards and crystals, do what everyone else does and buy them. It's easier that way, and we don't cut into our own supply.

It was a team effort and everyone contributed, so everyone shares it out. No "At minimuns". We'll sort it out eventually.

Snake's definitively yours to do with as you see fit, that one's your kill. Fair is fair, after all.

Verbal holds his arms up against thin air.
He stares through his invisible barrier with child like eyes.
He cannot stop grinning as he stares at the moblin daggers.
His face contorts as if smushed against an invisible force.
Verbal tugs on the nearest runner's sleeve and points to them.
He raises up a hand with his fingers spread apart.
He looks pleadingly to the group as he clasps his hands together shaking them back and forth in short motions.

If I get one from our spoils, and the idea falls through, I'll make sure to hand it off to you. Unless..." he ponders for a moment, "unless the idea destroys the flamer. Well, like a trident, but with 2 two-prong, simple no? I'd like 1 dagger for Durian. Nothing else I can really think of right now.
>>
>>46000916

A dident is like a trident, but only has two prongs.

And last I checked, they can be used to shock someone into submission. Or just stab someone to death; I don't know, I use guns.

There was one guy who fused a lantern with one of them hunter silver chain blades to get a chain blade with a lantern at the end. It gave off light and did lux damage.

If didents are really supposed to be like tridents but with two prongs then why does it say it does crushing or force?
>>
>>46001141

Because the fellows who made it didn't know that tridents were pointy?

Maybe they just liked smashing things more than stabbing things. Perfectly fine, if you ask me.

A multidimensional llama with a prehensile tongue. He sells bullets and other useful things.

Oh, and other peddlers whose items and services are mainly geared towards those from specific factions.

Yes, a llama. Rumor has it, if we buy enough things from him, he'll appear to us in a business suit.

>>
>>46001717
"Yep. He's a nice guy. Don't steal from him. He has no arms."
>>
>>46001332
>>46001536

Anyway, if you guys gave me the position, I'd set up a doc and track from turn to turn what things people had picked up, what kills were made, and what was looted from what monsters, keeping a running total tally as well for cases of things like mage-spolsions removing things from the field.

It won't be amazingly difficult given the turn lengths and processing times for most floors. Far less tedious than simply going back through the whole fucking thing, and more accurate to boot since nothing is as likely to be missed if it's caught and recorded at the time it happens.

This is true, you are the one that started and oversees the Guide, and your organizational and documentation skills would be suited to such a task. You are also clearly dedicated and passionate about the game and the players.

I too will cast my vote for Hetros.

>- Optional: Unit Leaders to act as the various arms of The Hunt.

Just gonna suggest this, if we assign operational unit leaders, we should not organize them by their own role. (AKA: Khya shouldn't lead 'the healers'), they should lead a section of the battlefield. Making calls for a closed section of the area, with each squad being determined before the map begins and before we deploy. That way the squad leaders focus on 'little' picture stuff. They don't have to keep track of what's going on across the map because one of the 'healers' is there, but only on their own squad mates.

>>45998102
One further question on this front. Were the heads separated from the bodies already and given to their respective kill shot landers? Or were they reduced to blood and meat?
>>
One more thing can we get a official list of who wants what? or who is gonna get what?

>(AKA: Khya shouldn't lead 'the healers')
But I like doing that, and I like to think I do a reasonable job at it.

>They don't have to keep track of what's going on across the map because one of the 'healers' is there
I agree for most classes this is correct, but given the nature of the healing process, having a person with a map-wide overview and who can help allocate healing resources is what has kept our casualties as low as they have been.
>>
>>46002277
The more you post, the sooner it'll be. Not in a good way.
>>
>>46002298
Agreeing with this so much. Not only that, the 'healers' benefit from an overview in regards to granting heals and helping figure out what a guide can do.

Paladins too I guess, now that I think of it.
>>
>>46002298
Okay, I can give you that.

Then probably 'Chief Healer' would be a command position set to something a bit off to the side, like overall commander. The overall commander might lead his own squad, but the chief healer could be concerned only with the overall actions of healers?
>>
>>46002277
I can start a general thread I guess once this one dies off entirely?
>>
>>46002448
Honestly believe it would be better to get the new thread up and running then linking to it from here before this thread dies.

That way it's an easy transfer.
>>
>>46002448
that seems a good idea or we can wait for runner to post again.

From the Old Warring Texts of Antiquity;

Unit Leaders operated a handful of Units usually capable of minimizing their action costs to accomplish maximized result.

But there is a secondary function here for Headquarters and Officers,

The Unit Leader may also be responsible for compiling orders in a streamlined fashion such that processing is delivered in an easier chunk*
As well, Botting their own t ensure said task goes smoothly.

Unit Maneuvers
==================
Unit Name:
Link to Stats and Statcards.

Actions [Overrides initiative and can be delivered in any order.]
===========
1st Unit Member to act;Abbreviated Action:

2nd Unit Member to act ;Abbreviated Action:

3rd Unit Member to act ;Abbreviated Action:

4th Unit Member to act;Abbreviated Action:

Party leaders may use this same format to cite Unit Maneuvers of Teams.

Party Members may disengage from a Party Anytime with a tap action.
>>
seems a bit confusing...
>>
>>46002433
>but the chief healer could be concerned only with the overall actions of healers?
Yes that is sort of how we have been running things so far. It isn't so mauch a "you heal that runner" type position, just someone that monitors injuries and makes sure resources are applied efficiently, and maximizes Healer pay outs and making sure they all get boss credit.
>>
i wonder...what the crystal corriders will hold...and who will divy what...freeedoooom..
>>
>>46002550
It'll make more sense on the field of battle I'm sure. I can see how it works. It's about changing up how things play out as a unit leader and controlling the flow of battle. We use so many team manuver's that it's a big deal.

Oh definitely. Officers cannot override actual orders, just link them. They can also reorganize the order they happen in to keep bad shit from happening, or bot somebody who hasn't posted yet. But they cannot out right say "No, you don't do that, you do this!"
