All mechs have red line.

Called shot applies a -2 to your roll. But allows you to target specific body parts so that if you crit then you can annihilate specific objects on the body. I think it might also increase pen chance for just that reason, but I'm not positive.

I can tank two VTOLs on my front arc for 12 damage.
That would put me at 2 HP on my mech.

Many missiles have the indirect fire tag, and Vtols fly, so they can ignore certain degrees of cover (and are also targetable from more areas). Given that these missiles all seem to be guided, and that recon drone is giving the lock, that shot looks pretty reasonable. Try going inside and around a corner?

Longbow, Hammer and EMP missiles don't have indirect fire capability.
The VTOLs from our last sortie were equiped with Longbow missiles and Longbow missiles happen to deal 8 damage.

Okay, since I just self diagnosed a severe case of dyscalculia, I recounted the tiles inbetween me and the SAM and it turned out that I can't go through the warehouse.

Can we get Eisen to Redline kill the spotter drone, so VTOL 3 will have to move to lock on?
The overwatch action wouldn't help much since VTOL 3 can shoot around corners but Eisen can't.

First, called shots have no effect on non-mech targets (unless it's relevant to the mission.) As they only have one pool of critical hit points. And no you don't get a penetration bonus unless you have marksman.

Secondly the VTOLs carry both Longbows, and a watered down HK missile. So yes they can do indirect fire.

Might not work. If 3 has a sensor pod (or similar) to let it lock without LoS, your move would put you in range, and maybe him. If you look at Vtol 2, it's locking Wasp A at 11 range, making its sensors better than the ones we fought before or Cognis miscounted, but I refuse to believe that.

We did lose a frightening amount of material and hardware, but, hey, it was lost shutting down a dirty bomb and keeping it out of the hands of nationalist extremists with a vengeance. Plus, robbing them of a few trained soldiers and some heavier gear in the process was not a bad bargain. So with that I've sent the all clear to the IF Marines, who are taking over the harbour and handling things from here.

I imagine they're happy we didn't turn the harbor into so many battle scarred crater too.

If you miss 2 missions then you will be declared AWOL and suffer the same fate as Labyrinth and Gasolina. If you join then fail to show up for the first mission then you won't even be added to the spreadsheet. (I only add a pilot once they get their first payout.) Gonna have to say that overwatch cancels out counter-attack. That's just too much stuff happening in the enemy phase. Besides Assault pilots should be attacking not standing back and waiting for the enemy.

Remember Cred transfers between pilots are at 75% and everything rounds down, so you'd have to give him at least 2 cred.
