The archer vanishes through the doorway, following after the woman. An interesting group, you think they'll go far if they can avoid Pani's embrace. Odd to think they've been at this longer than you have, though you suppose you've probably had far more training than they have. Once you're confident that they're well out of ear shot, you turn to Mahana. Well, you could certainly see the whistle having a plethora of civilian applications. Assuming of course that the person blowing on the whistle was immune to the pain caused. You could see an artifact like that being ideal for young women, or anyone of particularly weak constitution, who frequents the less than savory parts of town. The saddle though, that's an idea. Though, you're not sure what you'd want it enchanted with. Zahak seems mostly threatened by projectiles, arrows and spells and the like. Perhaps if the saddle could create some kind of directional barrier?

Well, normally I advance a book by 3-4 chapters, sometimes more, depending on how much time I reason Mik would have. Under this system, I would probably advance it more to the tune of 5-8 chapters each time. So given two more reading sessions, you could finish the Shaping Arts book in your inventory.
