Large sheets of bone and metal are constructed and shaped to shield the corpse of the Beast of Rukor from the hurricane raging above. A waterspout causes all craft to either rise above the storm or dive into the ocean to avoid it. Pipes run from a pair of Bloat Carrier ships hidden away in a nearby rift pumping the rick necrotic biomass brought from Horizon's Drops catoblepas farms into freshly crafted silos.

Within the shielded environment hoses with hypodermic spearpoints are jabbed into the vast corpse, pumping the slurry of biomass into the Beasts veins. The Think Tank buried in the largest of its many hearts pumps the fluid through the creature. The surface of its mimetic hide squirms then ruptures as parasitic worms with large jaws and stinging appendages escape the toxic slurry and the aquatic gargoyles slithering through it's bloodvessels. The hide around the biomass pumping hoses starts to harden and reshape itself from pliable flesh into hardened chitin.

Nekris oversees the process, his reptilian hand turning the fang of the Ahkam over in its grasp as he sits next to the colossal eye of the Beast. His Alpha Stalker pet paddles lazily through the water around him, chewing on a mouthful of captured parasites. He realized the Beast would become a symbol of the New Necrotic Armada, a living primordial "God" slain and turned into a powerful weapon. The thoughts of the Think Tank burrowed into it's corpse speak of armor and excessive weapon placements, reinforcing the corpse with powerful spinal hull mounts.

The New Necrotic Armada consumed and twisted the dead into it's weapons and soldiers. Yet as Gargoyles watch ructu villagers gather bushels of kelp in the lulls of the storms the General knew they were causing some good, however twisted it was. Scoffing his hand snatches a worm escaping from a rent in the Beasts hide.

The creature flails in his grasp coiling around his arm before he electrocutes it with a sizzle of blue light.

Completed Research:
>Ahkam Sub-Capitol Mimicry: By studying the captured corvette and frigate along with the remains of the Ahkam fleet drifting through the Rukor system has allowed your Ship Pylons to construct replicas of Ahkam Frigates and Ahkam Corvettes

>Juvenile Ahkam Dissection: The blue scaled Ahkam was indeed a juvenile of the egomaniacal race of serpents that pose as gods. While not true gods themselves a dissection of the juvenile reveals that their race is capable of great power. It took only a few direct blasts from it's lightning to render Lorgul comatose and injured and only a single strike to punch a hole through your own armor.

>Facility Research Notes and Files: The vorh necrolyte technician worked hard with his companions with the aid of a Think Tank to decode the vast amounts of files and research notes contained within the facilities backup systems. The recovered information is a trove of potential knowledge but initial searching reveals several topics worthy of researching further.

>Ship Boarding Technology: A single Think Tank in its free-time (what little of it they get) realized that there must be an even easier method of boarding hostile ships than opening cargo doors and letting the troops leap across the void of space.

Unlocked:
Ahkam disguised Frigates and Corvettes can now be made

>Conductive Armor: Resembling the scales of a serpent this new armor-type does not provide additional ballistic protection but rather weakening electrical attacks directed at it. Unit Cost: 2M Ship Cost: 30M

>Arc-Edged Weapons: Melee weapons can now be made to channel electrical charges along the edges or tips of blades and spear points for increased damage. Can potentially stun living targets or disable mechanized. Requires Zapper adaptation

>Zapper and Lightning Gun/Cannon upgrades: Both adaptation and weapon now have a chance to chain a bolt to a nearby target.

Researchers and security personnel of the Confederate Research Facility chat cheerfully among themselves discussing projects and quotas as they ate their meal in the cafeteria. Just another day locked away on a forsaken ice planet in a distant system to work on the latest of military technology. In the background of the cafeteria there is a faint blur of something transparent moving along the wall.

There was a sudden hail of bullets as the illusion drops from the armored forms of Sunscale soldiers fire their weapons into the cluster of unsuspecting humans and vorh. Screams filled the air as the Confederates tried to fight back, knocking over tables and returning fire with pistols. The reptilians appeared to be Worker class wearing heavy armor carrying large bore rifles, their bullets tearing through flesh and flimsy barricades easily. One of the Workers lifts their rifle and the screen goes blank.

Sirens blare throughout the facility as other cameras capture the Sunscale hunting down and eliminating every single non-lizard they could find. Security cyborgs attempt to fight back but they were armed with mere pistols and stun batons and the Sunscale tear through them easily.

It was when they tried to breach the test range did they encounter true resistance. Barricades were placed around the elevator entrance and weapons taken from firing ranges get their first true field test. A single worker is gunned down and another vaporized by a blast of blinding light.

The Workers fell back and the defenders wait in tense silence before there were several bellowing roars from the elevator. Dropping down and launching into the room were a pair of Sunscale you had never seen before.

Eight feet tall and nearly twelve long from nose to tail these Sunscale could only be the Warbloods you'd heard about. Dark scales hidden behind armor colored in vibrant reds and orange they threw up an arm and a shimmer of light spreads to form shields of transparent blue light, bullets ricocheting off the hardlight construct.

The vorh wielding the vaporizer prototype levels the weapon at the Warbloods but they unleash a hail of gunfire from the heavy scatterguns they wielded with ease in one hand. Burning metal rips through the defender and the barricades as they march forth, another pair dropping down behind them with shields alight.

The Warbloods break through the line of defense gunning down the defenders as they tried to flee. Running through a test range a pair of human fire their weapons in desperation as a Warblood chases after them on all fours. Leaping through the air the pounce on the back of one, metal-shod claws sinking deep into the back with a spurt of blood.

The human stops to scream and unload the clip of their carbine at the lizard, bullets barely cracking against it's heavy armor but a round does cut into it's scarred jaw. The Warblood snarls as blood leaks from the wound then inhales deeply for a moment and rears back before opening their maw and unleashing a gout of orange flames that engulfs the unfortunate human.

The sight is much the same through the floors as the Sunscale slaughter their way through the facility. Warbloods thrust their claws into the seams of emergency doors turned red hot with their potent flames and heave, bending the thick metal back.

They spared no one, killing all they came across with bullet or flame. Workers moved to consoles smashing them or riddling them with bullet fire. Warbloods smashed the weapons and few cyborgs roaming the facility with religious fervor.

As they rampaged through the facility footage shows researchers shouting at each other in their despair as they awaited their deaths. A pair dressed much more elaborately than the others argue with each other, an old human woman and a vorh with half their face replaced with black metal.

The human juts a finger accusingly at the vorh, "I knew we should have never trusted those damned lizards! Now look! We're all going to be killed and it's all your fault, Krilk!"

The vorh lifts their hands defensively, "I had no idea the Sunscale could track us here, do not blame me for your Confederacy's lack of security! Why is your A.I. offline at a time like this? Your cyborgs are useless if they're shut down! I was sent by the Blackscale to offer you all power and you all gladly accepted! We all knew the risks. We can only pray the transmission was successful."

The human glares at the vorh as screams came from the hall, "What transmission?" she accuses as her hand grips the blasters handle tight.

The crustacean scowls and clicks its mandibles in irritation, "There is no surviving a raid from a Sunscale purge. I transmitted the data of our research to the Blackscale ship hiding in the system," the vorh turns to regard the large tank in the center of the room. Murky liquid filled the tank but the cameras could just make out the form of a reptilian skeleton twisting in its containment.

There was a sudden chorus of screams and gunfire as the Sunscale breach the room. It was then the last of the cameras went dead and the footage ends.
>>
>>45265675
The Voidsinger turns to the screen as the monitor that was playing the footage goes blank, "I thought you would like to see that, Lord Jadyk. I have not fought the Sunscale myself but our records in the Osjiic Empire said that was a fairly typical raid. They attack and slaughter without mercy before moving on."

Your claws drum on the armrest of your stone throne. These Sunscale seemed just as deadly as the rumors suggested. You nod your head at the screen, "Thank you, Voidsinger. You may have your chance to face them in battle in the future. Carry on the good work, I am quite pleased with the Legion."

The osjiic salutes, "Glory to the New Necrotic Armada," before the screen goes blank.

You turn your attention to your fleets and expanding powerbase. The Ahkam, Osjiic and even the Confederate fleets appeared to be in motion and you were unsure of their destination. You had a feeling both systems under your control would be visited soon.

There was much to do and tend to. What shall you do first?

An order that big would take nearly a week to produce though, we only need a force big enough to look as if it just blew up an Osijic task force and perform hit and run attacks. How about 20 corvettes and 10 frigates and 3 light cruisers?

We definitely need the crit crawls though.

You were looking over potential ships to craft and traps to place when you glance up and realize the pilots spread through your battlecruisers bridge have gone stonestill. Even the twisting of your spear slows and retracts into hiding withing your ribcage.

You let out a small sigh as the sounds of dried leaves reaches you from all angles. Looking about the room then doing a double-take at the sight of a half-decayed human hidden behind a wooden mask of some eyeless alien standing half behind a console. The Masked shifts into a crippled ructu as it approaches you.

Leaning back in your throne you clack your jaw, "I had been wondering when I would see another of your kind. I was beginning to think you'd grown bored of my story," you say with your remaining arm drumming on the stone.

The flayed epikor spreads their hands, voices overlapping like discordant echoes, "You have been hard at work. We think it time you set into motion," the body shifts once more, Slrrt standing with the mask hanging from withered and blighted flowerface.

The Masked have visited you once more. Now is your time to speak to it.

"My thoughts exactly, as a matter of fact. I assume you know the Ahkam and Osjiic are on the move, most likely in response to my actions," you say to the mass of writhing tentacles and the bone-white shield the mask hung from.

"Why of course. They are players in this grand game as well," the say with a motion of twitching spines.

"I don't suppose you are here to make another offer, as you had the last time I clashed with them?" You lean forward and point a clawed finger at the naked Osjiic with it's chest carved open in an autopsy.

"Quite so. We see your enemies and know their plans. We know yours as well. Drive the Ahkam and Osjiic to fight each other, just like you did when you claimed Horizon's Drop. A simple but effective plan," The bridge is overtaken by a mass of far reaching vines made of scales and skin with the mask hanging from the ceiling, "We offer you knowledge of their locations and plotted course. We offer you this for a boon to be asked for in the future. Do well in these upcoming conflicts and we may offer you an additional award."

You clack your jaw at the notion of owing the enigmatic Masked anything but the offer was quite tempting.

>>

>>
>>45268304
Fuck this is a hard choice. On one hand I don't want to owe them anything, and on the other it going to be hard to do this without that info.

Fuck it I'm going with the bet!
>>
>>45268304
You lean back in your chair with a grunt as you mull over the offer. The thought of owing them anything grew distasteful the more you thought about it. A sole fist slams on the stone, "No, but how about a bet instead? I will not be coddled by entities that find me amusing. No, if I win this fight without your information, then not only do I receive that promised prize, but I get a Mask of my own," you say firmly.

The rukorian gorilla, bloated and half-eaten, recoils in surprise before your head rings with it's screeching laughter, "So brash! Very well!" the Masked shifts once more, a kosda covered in burns tilting its head, "This is your task. Defeat the Osjiic and Ahkam fleets. Slay or drive off the Ahkam itself. They will be a formidable foe, their power enough to rival your own. Do this and prove yourself worthy of your reward. We offer you the slightest of hints though, for your bold words. Your systems are on their routes. They shall arrive within three days each."

There is a flicker, as if a screen resetting itself and reality's cosmic clock ticks once more. Pilots resume their tasks and the Think Tank spins slowly in it's cradle. The Masked no longer there and only a pair of bloodied footprints where it once stood.

Determined to show the Masked the worthiness of your Armada you contact the Think Tanks as a whole. You explain to them their task and tell them to make you proud.

They set aside their tasks for an hour and combine their resources. They compute and measure, discussing and arguing among themselves. Theories about the Ahkam mass travel technique and predictions of Void Drive speeds are thrown about.

Finally after intense debate on a probable list, cross-checking and disproving or confirming, they present you with a list.

Five systems seem to be likely targets and the Think Tanks take the lead, the frames of five Eyegores already under construction.

Soon five new Eyegores shudder to life, their curious minds blinking into consciousness before their Void Drives create a bubble of distorted light around themselves and the race off into the distance.

>Five Eyegores Created 150B 125M

They are due to arrive within hours to the systems. As they travel your ship pylons leap to lift, creating not the normal Necrotic Ships but rather the crude blocky forms of Ahkam craft. You pause work on your other ships, dedicating your full resources to making the decoys quickly.

Crafting:

Y'know I had an idea for a new sub-type of crit-crawl.

I was dicking around with my 'nids the other day, and realized that barbed stranglers are awesome, and then I thought "Hey, if the 'Nids can do shit like this, and bio-mechadendrites can be a thing." and then I connected it here, and asked myself "Are the Think Tanks wireless enough to access extremely-long distance Bio-flash drives that are shoved into the enemy?"

There was time to kill as you waited for the Eyegores to make their way to new systems to lay in wait and as you turn your mind to minions you are interrupted by an alert from Jor.

A screen flickers to life and he bows, his helm removed. He smiles at the screen as you nod in return, "The woman, Sara, just gave birth several minutes ago to a healthy boy."

You take in the information then turn to the screen as your spear slithers from your armor to form your arm once more, "That is fortunate for the woman. Tell me, Jor. As my loyal advisor, what would you have me do?"

He blinks in surprise and bites his thumb as he thinks for a moment before answering, "It may do well for morale and convincing the others of your...good intentions if you made an appearance. Offered your blessing, as it were," he quickly bows, "Only if it pleases you, Lich-Lord."

>The first child born in the New Necrotic Armada has arrived.

Jor suggests making a personal appearance to "bless" the child.

What shall you do?
>>
>>45270344
I see no harm in doing so. We are in a lull at the moment, waiting for reconnaissance reports and build orders to finish.
Return planetside and hold a ceremony.

How about a blessing ceremony where those born into the New Necrotic Armada have a sigil planted upon their foreheads. Perhaps with domination along with body and mind strengthening properties?
>>
>>45270344
Agree, show our mortal servants just because we're dead doesn't stop us from appreciating the newly living. If we can create a connection to him/her while ensuring it's health and wellbeing without dominating it, do so.

You thank Jor for his advice and insight. He bows low and the screen disappears.

The battlecruiser rumbles to life, engines firing and surrounding the ship in a bubble of distorted light. As it leaves the Rukor system you visit the ships Cauldron and submerge yourself into the liquid with your spear slithering out like a worm.

There was a large flash of light in the morning sky of Horizon's Drop, Colonists looking to the sky at the same time as Red-Leaf-Strains and her tribe.

You emerge from the Cauldron flexing and clenching your newly remade arm. The Spear slithers from the liquid after helping recraft your missing limb and slips into your grasp reformed. The Battlecruiser was impossible to miss as it descended through the sparse clouds above the colony only to stop several hundred meters above.

The cargo bay opens and you descend with a trio of local Gargoyles swooping around you in greeting. Off in the distance you can see the light glinting off black towers, the capitol city growing by the day.

Colonists look to watch as you drift down, leaving their chores and jobs to watch. Even from above you can feel their fear rise like bile. They almost thought themselves free of your personal presence and it almost makes you laugh.

Landing next to Jor where he stood outside the infirmary, the human kneeling along with the handful of others scattered about, "Hail, Lich-Lord Jadyk," the salute echoed by the others.

"Rise, my subjects. I wish to see the newest of my people," you say as you walk past them and into the infirmary, ignoring the shocked whispers or the growing crowd of people making their way from other parts of town.

You brush past a protesting doctor and the vorh assistant trying to pull them back. The medical wing was empty except for a human couple. The woman holds a bundle to her chest defensively from her spot on a bed, glaring at you across the room, the man looking terrified but tense as if ready to launch himself futilely at you in an attempt to defend the others.

It almost makes you laugh but you wish to ease their fears. The Spear loses it's form and slithers along your arm then into your armor and empty ribcage. Lifting a hand they flinch but you just pat the air disarmingly, "Be not afraid. I have only come to offer my congratulations and my blessing."

They stare at you in silent disbelief before the woman shakes her head, "W-what do you want with my son?"

You stride across the room, feet not touching the ground but rather hovering an inch above making your steps eerily silent, "Only to give my promise of protection. You have done a remarkable thing. I came and shrouded your universe in death and horror and yet you two strove to bring a life into such a reality. That is quite brave," they glance at each other uncertainly as you stand several feet away

"My New Necrotic Armada will grow and bring more converts to its cause. But your son is special. He is the first born under my rule and I would give him my blessing," you say as you reach out, the parents finding themselves unable to move under your telekinetic grasp.

The child was a small scrunched thing. They scowled in their sleep as your chitin claw reaches out and ever so lightly traces a sigil across their brow. They grimaces and shift as the lines grow red and angry before fading to a faint scar that would grow darker with age, "I mark you, David. You will grow in my light and come to wield great power in my Armada. Grow strong, grow well. The Universe awaits you," the child blinks their eyes, mismatched blue and black and looks up at you.

You depart from the infirmary, the telekinetic paralysis on the parents releasing. The woman kisses the child's forehead then begins to sob after spotting the fresh scar on young Davids skin.

The rest of the Colony stands gathered around in silence. Your words within the room had been transmitted for your living subjects to hear and you feel within them a mix of fear, disgust and to your satisfaction, a smattering of hope. Hope was the greatest form of control you've come to realize. It was Hope that drove Jor and the Voidsinger to throw their lot in with you despite your unholy ways.

"Glory to the New Necrotic Armada," you say and the words are repeated by Jor and the others as they kneel before you as one. Rising up you look over your gathered subjects as you return to your battlecruiser. Once more you ponder if this...warmth you felt as they spoke your words and slowly dedicated themselves more fully to you was what the Wormstar felt as the Necrolytes and Chitin Choir sang hymns and reeducated the unfaithful.

Your newest Eyegores chime in one after another over a matter of hours and feed you the results of their trips after returning to orbit once more.

Use the inoperable Akham corvette as bait for a trap for them in one of their systems. Load it up EMP crit crawls and troops for boarding, and use it in conjunction with our Osijic ships to capture any Akham vessel that comes to aid or salvage it. Ideally while in full view of other ships or planets too far away to lend direct assistance. Then we can use whatever we capture for our attack on the Osijic.

Armored shell, maybe like an ammonite or a orthocone.
Siphon jet for propulsion, can hover and levitate like the think tanks.
Tentacle manipulator arms, pair of normal sting whips and a single cluster sting whip
Either paired light weapons or a medium weapon
Zapper adaptation
Advance camoflage

The first question what is current objective of our enemies

Maybe that confederate fleet is heading to retake system 3

The osjiic fleet is coming to us but we be able to redirect them if we launch our decoy against one of their systems

Only question is what that arkham fleet doing

We attack systems 1,3 and 4 and then have our decoy forces retreat and hope the osjic search fleet is recalled back to resecure their systems?
>>
>>45272751
But the only issue is what are the arkham doing

Wait we just killed one of the young arkham

Do they know we killed him specifically? Is that a vengeance fleet their sending our way?

If so we then need them to intersect the Osjic search fleet

Your latest Battlecruiser lifts to light surrounded by a swarm of Ahkam disguised sub-capitols and fighters. They appeared from the outside to be authentic ships of the Ahkam fleets but inside the illusion is easy to break and completely shattered on the bridge where Reconstructed Pilots controlled the ships.

A portion of the Ahkam disguised craft part from the rest. Fighters attach themselves to the hulls of frigates and corvettes.

The craft spool their Skip Drives, the engines whining with energy. Using the telemetry sent by the Eyegores the Think Tanks plot their course and soon the ships disappear with several flashes of light.

They appear minutes later on the opposite side of the star that the Osjiic's controlled planet lay to hide their arrival. Where once the Skip Drives were quite unpredictable, the mental network connecting the Think Tanks controlling the ships to refine the accuracy of the Skip Drives with each use.

There were only a few sub-capitols in the fleet and they don't seem to react to your presence as the ships race across the solar system.

Enemy forces:
>1 Light Cruisers
>2 Frigates
>3 Corvettes

One of the frigates and two of the corvettes were landed on the planet with supplies being unloaded for the construction efforts. There was no alert for the Osjiic as Spine Cannon slugs of dense metal crack against the hulls of the ships in orbit.

The wall of metal slugs was followed by a volley of missiles that detonate against hulls before rapidly raised shields block the rest. Yet it was too late for the corvette in orbit as it's engines flare then detonate to engulf the ship in a ball of flame.

Your Eyegore can hear the sudden frenzy of communications as the Ahkam disguised ships descend on the unsuspecting Osjiic. Recordings of Ahkam soldiers taken from their battle with your forces in the Rukor system blare across radio channels proclaiming the glory of the Ahkam.

Teardrop fighter craft are launched from hull mounted hangars, their rotary cannons roaring to life as they cut into the sides of the light cruiser and frigate still in orbit. The cruiser manages to swing its weapons around as its shields start to flicker from the assault and unleash a volley at a passing corvette. It scores a hit through the shield venting a portion of it's hull but the crewless ship speeds away to prevent true damage. The corvette sends a message to the other craft, hoping it would intercepted by the Osjiic, the synthetically crafted voice of an Epikor speaking of falling back to the nearby white star system before it beats a hasty retreat with its Skip Drive.

The cruiser's shields fall and the fighters swarm the craft, ripping into the ship with cannon fire and needle missiles. There is a shout of rage over the radios before it's cut out as the ship implodes under a concentrated volley of fire from the frigates and corvettes.

The frigate tries to escape with void-twisted light starting to form around it but your fighters surround the ship. Cannon-fire rips through the failing shields and ruptures the ship, splitting it down the middle before it detonates.

The ships still on the planet are quickly fired up but before they could lift off the glowing orbs of spinecannon slugs the size of chariots and burning hot with reentry smash into them. There are several explosions as the pure kinetic force of the strikes shatter the shields and hulls of the ships, crashing them back down.

Just as fast as you appeared, the ships spin up their Skip Drives and disappear once gathering up their Fighters.

Losses:
>None, minor ship damage

Forces defeated:
>1 Light Cruiser (Destroyed)
>1 Frigate (Destroyed)
>2 Corvetes (Destroyed)
>1 Frigate (Heavily damaged)
>1 Corvette (Heavily damaged)

Your hidden Eyegore listens in your decoys wake the Osjiic frantically ordering a message sent to nearby systems for reinforcements and reports of the raid.

>>45274253
Lets attack the Third system. We may also want to make some Osijic ships to attack the White star system and draw the Ahkam there.

The fifth system. If we gave directions to the Osijic to the second system, I don't want the Akham there to anticipate their revenge attack. If we attack the second system now pretending to be Osijic then by the time the actual Osijic get there the serpents will be ready for them, and thus suffer less damage than a genuine surprise attack. The goal of this op is goading these two into killing each other for us, I say let them do that.

>>45274558
Hop in, smash the battlecruiser but leave the bridge unscathed. It was pointed out before that they need the Ahkam to go FTL and the egomaniacs would obviously take the largest ship as their own, unless they're groundside getting worshipped. Either works in keeping them retaliation ready.

Having that blow will immediatly have them frothing for blood and we just have to rinse and repeat about returning to the "reclamation fleet" aka the fleet hunting for us.

Gray slabs of ships shift from their spots in underground hangars on Horizon's Drops moon. The Osjiic disguised frigates resembled great rectangular ships of heavy armor and impressive armament. Newly craft fighters, winged ships sporting heavy weaponry for craft their size.

Fighters fold their wings in and dock to the sides of the frigates, Void Drives rumbling to life as a bubble of twisted light surrounds the craft.

As their Ahkam disguised brethren disappeared with flashes of light the Osjiic accelerate into the distance impossibly fast, aimed for the Ahkam system.

The high accuracy of the Void Drives and the coordinates given by the Eyegore watching from beyond the rim of the system allows the decoy fleet to appear suddenly out of FTL with small novas of light and radiation nearly on top of the Battlecruiser floating over the storms of the distant ice planet.

Fighters detach and unfold their wings as the full force of five frigates unleash their potent arsenal against the capitol craft. Chain-flenser turrets crackle against the ships shields making them flicker moments before slugs of ferrous metal fired from fixed guns shatter the shields and punch into the sides of the ship shattering armor and venting hulls.

A chorus of synthesized and recorded Osjiic voices jeer over communication channels directed at the Ahkam craft, "Death to the serpents! We felled the Child God and we come for the blood of the Ahkam!"

The battlecruiser turns it's turrets and auxiliary guns onto the attackers as fighters launch from the hangar. The cumbersome craft tries to swing around and bring it's impressive array of fixed guns to bear but the frigates burn their engines bright to stay on its sides as they trade fire attempting to surround it on all sides.

A pair of turrets firing powerful beams of white light slice through the hull of a Decoy Frigate after the shields fall under a hail of swarm missiles. Wounded with core nearly shattered the frigate accelerates suddenly to crash into the engines of the battlecruiser before it detonates its Void Drive in an explosion of powerful Void energy that shreds through the crafts engines.

Your Eyegore alerts your Decoys to the incoming reinforcements from the sub-capitols leaving their posts standing guard over the populated planets along with a large number of sub-light craft of the natives own make.

The Battlecruiser turns it's remaining weapons onto the frigates but their turrets are broken one after another. The frigates recall their remaining fighters as their Void Drives finalize their recharge. Twisting light surrounds the ships and they disappear into the distance just in time to avoid a volley from their powerful fixed cannons.

The Eyegore reports the Battlecruiser slowly drifting to the ice planet below and watches the blue scales of a juvenile Ahkam glint in the starlight as it slithers from the wounded capitol to enter the hold of a frigate that quickly transports it back to one of the populated planets.

Well that went quite well. Do we know whether the Osijic and Ahkam are generally in open war with eachother? If not, I'm hoping this escalates things .

And I think I should call it here, I'm getting drowsy.

I hope folks had fun, I know I did.

Thread is archived, please vote for it if you can. I'll stick around a bit for questions until I pass out.

Feel free to suggest troop/ship orders or ideas and plot among yourselves. I'll check thread later when I wake up if it's still around to finalize anything like that engineer squid unit I saw suggested earlier.

As a rule the Osjiic are generally at war with everyone they encounter. But seriously, they are. Estkri's fleet fought them several times before since they patrolled the systems near to a concentration of Ahkam controlled systems.

Thanks for the run man, love this quest. It sounds like the Osijic would make for some pretty shitty neighbors in the wider galaxy.
