PREVIOUSLY ON MAGICAL GIRL LIBERTY: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Magical+Girl+Liberty

At least you were out of the snow for now as the five of you walked down the Berlin street. The stark red Nazi banners hung from nearly every street lamp and from every window. You had to pull Rana and Anneliese away a little earlier as you saw people throw bricks and rocks through a storefront window: a storefront owned by a Jew. There was a dark atmosphere over the city, you could feel it, Kirby could feel it. The Nazis were swallowing up the free will of its people day after day.

It was around lunch time as you meet up with a man standing underneath a street lamp. He tips his hat to you, then you curtsey to him. “Guten tag,” he greets. He points down the street, a smirk on his face. “The Baroness went down that street and to the left towards the Reichstag an hour ago.”

“Thank you,” you say quickly as you move on.

Well, not everyone was agreeing with how things were going.

The five of you went down the increasingly busy streets until finally, you were at what could possibly be described as the heart of all evil in Germany. The Reichstag, the parliament building of Nazi Germany, Hitler’s personal headquarters. Troops were patrolling around left and right, with tanks on parade formation outside of its walls. You hear a whistle, and see a young boy wave you into an alleyway. The five of you step in, and he briefs you. “You are from the US?” You nod. “Good, good,” he whispers. “The Baroness has business with the Fuhrer. She’s inside right now.”

“What about the trucks?” you ask. “And the girls?”

“They were diverted to a local barracks a few blocks down,” he says. “They might still be there.” Okay, that’s a start. “So, does this mean the US is entering the war?”

“No,” you say. The boy frowns sadly, disappointed. “At least not yet. We’re helping any way we can. What can you do for us?”

“I can have a few friends make a distraction a block down to help divert guards,” he says. “If you’re intending to sabotage one, you will bring the entire city’s garrison down on it. So, I would probably advise you to attack both.”

“Alright.” You look at Sumire, Alena, Rana, and Anneliese. “It’s best if we split up then. I’ll take someone with me, the other three will hit the other spot. We meet up at the pre-arranged extraction point once everyone has done their part.” That point being a non-descript car sitting on a corner about a half kilometer away. Change of clothes, forged IDs, and other necessities were provided by students from the Universities and other dissidents. Good people, reliable people. They also promised to help smuggle the girls out of Germany and towards a safehouse in Switzerland.

“Is this going to turn into me versus Alena again?” asks Sumire. You shrug. It might. She rolls her eyes.

“I would be happy to accompany her,” Alena proclaims. “Wherever she may go.”

Well first, you have to choose where to go.

“I’ll head to the barracks. I’ll free the girls there.”

“M’kay,” says Rana. “The other three then will infiltrate the Reichstag then and steal whatever information we can out of Baroness von Streucker’s pocket. Maybe even get a cheap shot in too while we’re at it.”

“That’s the spirit,” you say. “Our friends in the Resistance will time a distraction that’ll block guard traffic from intercepting either of us when we make our moves. That means we’ll have… how long can you hold them?”

He shrugs. “At most, five minutes.”

“Five minutes then,” you say. “And in that five minutes, we get our stuff done, we leave. Okay? But we have to give time for whoever’s infiltrating, at least maybe ten or fifteen minutes.” Everyone nods. “Right then.” You rub your hands. “Now all I need is someone to come with me. I can’t raid that barracks on my own.” Well, you could. You just don’t want to right now.

So who to pick?

> Rana. Good support in a fight.

Rana will be Christine's ranged support. Anneliese can provide heavy fire for Sumile while Alena covers both of them. Christine and Sumire are the respective close-range attackers of their team.

No love for Anne? You guys are lame
>>
>>45259016
Christine and Anneliese are both tanks. Frontloading a team like that might be a bit much.

I still don't agree with putting the two melee fighters on one team.
>>
>>45259034
Especially since taking Christine and Sumire together will take two of the silver items with them.
>>
>>45259034
Infiltration doesn't often allow for the sort of wide quarters that would make a tank, ranged setup functional.

Guns and mobility. Gonna need to be her.
>>
>>45259093
Neither guns nor mobility are really helpful here.

Rana is also best girl, so the natural choice.

I kinda like taking Alena just because the other three have more teamwork together than two of them + her, and teamwork is more relevant in the bigger group.

I need to post updates faster but since we're at the 30 minute mark and appear to be in a tie, I'll break it with the die.

2. Sumire and the exotic foreign poon.

>>45259166
There was 7 minutes between Sumire winning and the tie, I think there was more than enough time to call it, not much sense picking the ranged fighter for what will be likely close quarter most of the time, but okay.

Rana is adorable in her tech maniac, bombshell body way. She's the nicest girl of the bunch (Anneliese notwithstanding), and she's just happy to be with Christine and have a roof over her head.

> Rana. Good support in a fight.

“Rana.” She smiles happily at you. “You can support me quite well. And I think it’s been a while since you and me have actually worked together one on one.”

“Aw.” Sumire pouts. “That means I have to be quiet!”

Anneliese coughs. “Finally.”

Sumire immediately glares at Anneliese. “What was that!?”

“Anyway,” you say. They all look at you, attentive now. “Me and Rana will storm the barracks. Once you hear the sound of gunfire, you’ll know you only have five minutes before guards start storming you and me.” They all nod. So at this juncture, you’re going to rely on an Italian, a Jap, and a German to infiltrate the Reichstag by themselves. Honestly, you couldn’t write a better script than that, that’s perfect. “Don’t take any unnecessary risks. Sumire, you still have the sword?” She nods, holding up a guitar case that she is using to disguise it. “And Alena?” She lifts up her shirt, revealing the silver chestplate underneath. “… okay.” You didn’t need to see that but okay. Sumire silently glares at Alena as you finalize the plan. “I think we’re all ready then.”

“Let’s stick it to the krauts!” Rana boasts.

Another university student leads you through the backstreets, avoiding the guard patrols around the city as you near the barracks. You, him, and Rana lean out from around a corner to see the barracks, a single two story building surrounded by chain-link fences topped up with barbed wire. And to make matters worse, it appears they have not only a full platoon of soldiers in the garrison, but also a Panzer IV. “Whoa.” She points to it, grinning. “Short barrel, must be the Ausf. D. Look at the hull machine gun, and the external gun mantlet!” She bites her lip, looking at you. “This is so exciting, I love this!”

“Is your friend okay?” asks the student.

“She just likes tanks,” you explain. “Get out of here.” He nods, finding his work complete.

Right, how do you want to approach this.

After putting on a few convincing uniforms and doing up your hair into neat buns, the two of you approach the guard at the gate. He looks down at you two, quirking his brow. “What’s your business here?”

“We’re here to inspect the conditions here on behalf of the League of German Girls,” you say, with a clipboard full of official looking gibberish on paper. He asks you for your papers. You present your false IDs to him, and he looks over them with a very keen eye.

And worryingly, it takes a few minutes. You look past him to see a squad of soldiers on parade line, being inspected by what you assume to be an officer. “Hm. Your papers are clear,” he says. He hands them back to you two. “But I would’ve assumed that the League would send an escort for two fine young ladies such as yourselves.”

Rana blushes a bit, biting her lip. “Oh you, we can take care of ourselves!” He opens the gate for you two as you step inside. Your arrival immediately draws the attention of the squad of soldiers, the officer, and the tank crew as they polish and clean their tank. The two of you try to ignore it, heading towards the building. But Rana unfortunately drops her ID on the ground. “Whoops!” She bends over to retrieve it, and immediately you feel everyone’s eyes get drawn towards Rana’s posterior.

Now that you think about it, maybe bringing the girl with the most attractive body on a stealth mission wasn’t the greatest idea.

She picks it up, then you grab her wrist and immediately drag her inside. You wipe some sweat off your brow and sigh deeply. That was close. “Okay, we’re in, Rana,” you whisper. “Let me do the talking.” The door has led you into a lobby, where a guard is sitting at a desk, listening to the radio. You step up to him. “Guten tag, we’re from the League of German Girls.”

He grunts. “Oh. You two here for the girls in the cellar?” he asks. Without thinking, you nod. “Ah, sehr gut. They were getting a bit whiney.” He stands up, sighing with slovenly breath as he motions you to follow him. “The Baroness was adamant that we keep them here until facilities would be made available by the Fuhrer, I don’t really understand what she wants with so many girls at once.”

You shrug. “That is not for us to discuss I guess.”

“Still,” he mutters. “We can’t even speak to them, let alone touch them.” He looks at you, shifting his eyes. “Between you and me, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were some queer harem of hers. Perhaps she gets sick of that beast she calls a husband sometimes.” Yeah, yeah, sure. You and Rana glance worryingly at each other, then watch him as he unlocks the door. He steps down then pulls on a chain to turn on the light. There you see, resting and waiting in steel cells are dozens of girls. They wear white dresses, stained brown or grey by their conditions, and their hair are frazzled and tousled by the stress of the past few days. The travel and the wait and the idea of being forced upon by werewolves has probably killed their enthusiasm from when you last saw them. “Wake up, girls,” calls the guard. “You are being transferred.”

One of the girls stands up, then walks over to the cell bars as the guard starts unlocking the doors. “Wh- where are we going?”

“Don’t know, don’t care,” he says bluntly. “Not my problem.” He opens the first door, allowing a few out. They walk over to you, frightened. He continues unlocking doors until finally all the girls are out and free. “Right.” The guard wags his finger at you. “Stay here. I need to confirm this first.”

He starts up the steps, leaving you and Rana with at least two dozen young girls. One of them sniffles, frightened at you. “What are you going to do with us?”

“Bring you to safety.” They all gasp, quietly murmuring and whispering amongst themselves. “Stay quiet.” They all nod. Right, with the guard having gone to confirm the transfer of the girls, all you have to do is wait.

And then he returns, stepping down the steps, wielding an MP40 SMG. He points to you. “You, yes you. I just called the Baroness, she said she did not approve of a transfer or call for anyone to come retrieve the girls this morning. Who are you?” He racks the bolt on the MP40, ready to execute you on the spot. “You’re under arrest!”

Then Rana whacks him over the head with a chair, knocking him out. All the girls yelp and scream at the sudden brutality of the action. Well. He’s not dead. But… whatever. You and Rana and hurriedly grab his body and then shove him in a cell. For good measure, you grab his MP40 and his keys as well, then lock him inside. Alright. You just need to walk out of here, scot free. You motion the girls to follow you, then hand Rana the MP40.

“For me?” she asks. You nod. “Eeee! Best gift ever!” You roll your eyes. This is not the time, Rana.

All of you hurry up the steps, then move down the hallway. A few guards having a coffee break look at you with some amount of suspicion, before you present your ID to them and try and look as busy and in a hurry as possible. You find that people don’t bother you if you look like you’re in a rush, even with twenty odd or so girls following you.

But as you step outside into the parking lot, the Officer who was busy inspecting his troops looks at you, then points at you. He seems to have noticed the girls with you. “Hey! Where are you taking those girls!? Where are your papers!?”

“Well-“ You cough. “We are moving these girls out of this garrison to a new location in Munich. However we are simply-“

“Your papers,” he asks. Darn, he’s got you dead for rights. You and Rana hurriedly pull out your papers and present them to him. “I knew I should have checked them when you got here.” The squad behind him looks at you, no longer with lust or excitement, but now with suspicion. Darn it. “Hm.” He tosses your papers to the ground. “I see you all are-“

You hear an explosion in the direction of the Reichstag. There’s a loud rumble in the ground that shakes everything. Sumire, please save you. “That was the Reichstag!” yells a soldier.

The Officer sweeps his hand around, yelling to everyone. “Everyone to the Reichstag, now, now! Pack up!” He seemingly forgets about you as all the soldiers hurriedly rush out of the gates and run towards the Reichstag. The Panzer IV tank hurriedly runs elsewhere, apparently aiming to get something for the tank.

Now that things are in chaos though, that means the Resistance will provide a distraction up the block that’ll keep this garrison from responding to whatever happened at the Reichstag. As the soldiers are emptying out, you look around. There’s a truck, the Panzer IV is empty, but they might notice those are gone if you steal them. Then again, they might notice a bunch of girls wandering around by themselves without supervision.

Hm.

>>
>>45261681
>Steal the tank and the truck anyway.
>>
>>45261843

In the crowded streets of Berlin, a tank provides far more than enough to compensate for its comparative lack of speed. For one unconcerned with damage to the urban environment especially, barricades can be cleared and buildings toppled on rival tanks.
>>
> Steal the tank and the truck anyway.

“Can anyone here drive?” you ask. One of them raises their hand. “You, you’re driving the truck! Me and Rana will take the tank!”

“Really!?” Her eyes light up as you hurry to lift up the hatch of the tank. She busts it open for you, then hops on in. “I call the driver’s seat!” Okay, fine. You weren’t planning on driving anyway. The girls all crowd into the truck, with one of them hurrying to get it started up. You sit in the turret, then lean out the turret cupola hatch, looking around.

“Rana!” you yell. “Are we going or-“ The tank suddenly roars into life, and immediately begins rolling forward. You’re thrown back by the suddenness of the movement, before you grab on and hang on for dear life. This isn’t the first time you’ve stolen a tank but by goodness it won’t be the last. You look back to see the former crew of the tank yell at you as they emerge from the garrison building, holding their tank shells and machine gun ammo.

Oh, that’s what they were getting.

You peek back down to see there are only a few shells left, and not even a belt of machine gun ammo anywhere you can see in this dark cramped hull. You wonder why people enjoy these things, it feels like getting put in a screaming metal coffin. “Wooohoo!” Rana kicks her feet as she drives the tank expertly onto the street, leading the truck out.

Right, first things first, you have to get the girls to a separate rally point where a man is waiting with another truck to smuggle them out. Of course, arriving with a tank might be a bit inconspicuous but with the shells you do have, you can probably pull off an escape now.
>>
>>45262994
[2/2]

Suddenly, you hear the beating sound of wings. But not ordinary wings, this was more like a rapid turning, like a fan slapping against a metal grate. Nearby civilians scream and run away into their homes and stores in fright. You look up to see a gunship Zeppelin suddenly casting a shadow over you. Ah, heck in a handbasket. You hope they aren’t here for you.

A cable drops out of its hangar bay, and dropping in front of you right before the intersection is a Wolf Pack soldier, backed up by a pair of acolytes wielding light machine guns.

Yeah. They are here for you. Hopefully that’s just the bulk of the reinforcement.

>>45263234

>Being useful beyond providing us information

>>45263234

>>
>>45263270

What the hell do you mean he's not that magic? He's done far more intensive things in the past than changing the launch trajectory of a 5kg payload by 30 to sixty degrees. I'm not suggesting he make a zeppelin sinking missile, but that he just curbs the bullet.
>>
>>45263341
Well it's magic, so GS ain't gotta explain shit as the saying goes.
>>
>>45263234

Would be amusing to see Berlin in flames over a well placed tank shot, gotta admit. Since Kirby's apparently useless here, maybe we can maneuver ourselves out far enough to get a sold shot at their cabin naturally. Of course, that has a lot to do with head winds and other shit. If GS would like to explain everything that goes into the physics problem he's just introduced, we can go from there.
>>
>>45263341
It's a very fast moving 5kg payload. It's not that Kirby can't curb the bullet, it's that it moves too fast for him to curb before the payload hits something.
>>
>>45263552

Concentrated force deflection in terms of energy would make this less different than you would think between a hail of machine gun fire from a plane and this. It's GS call on how useful or useless the NPC mascot is. I'm just in it for the explosions.
>>
>>45263541

The problem is that is as anon explains here. >>45263552
It's moving far too fast for him in too little of a space for him to make a difference.
>>
>>45263667

Then, if you would, please explain the present horizontal distance between the tank's pivot point and the zeppelin. We might be able to just shoot the damn thing anyway without magic.

Failing that, describe the head wind, direction, city street layout, etc, etc. I'm bored and want to science the shit out of this.
>>
>>45263731
I would but ramming the soldier won and I'm writing and so it's irrelevant at this stage.

> “Full speed, Rana!”

“Rana, full speed!”

She pumps her fist, then wracks the gear stick into place and charges the tank forward. You can hear the tank bellow like a bull as it charges forward. The acolytes quickly dodge out of the way, but not the Wolf Pack soldier, he stands his ground howling at the tank. And for that, you brace yourself. With a loud crash, you smash him into a building, crushing him under brick and concrete. He falls limp on the tank’s frontal glacis plate. Got him.

But suddenly he growls, trying to drag himself up the tank’s front. “Rana!” you yell. She backs the tank up, letting him some respite, before ramming him again. This time, you hear the definite crunch of a spine and several bones breaking. And this time, he falls over, probably not dead but certainly out of action. You look back to see the Opel Blitz truck full of girls following behind you. But before you can order them to go a bit faster, bullets start flying past your head. The acolytes have rallied again and are now trying to snipe you out of your cockpit. “Take us out of here!”

The tank backs up, then turns left. These tanks are quite clumsy in your experience, you’ve yet to really have a good experience in driving or riding in one. At least there’s no giant Stormtrooper to rip the turret roof off and try to kill you. You look back to see the one girl driving the truck be frozen in her spot, her arms instinctively moving the wheel to keep pace with the tank.

Kirby appears next to you on the cupola. “I see you’re on top of things,” he says.

“Not now!” you yell. “Where’s Sumire!?”

“Far as I am aware, she is engaged in combat with Baroness von Streucker and her Wolf Pack bodyguard,” he reports. “The silver weaponry provided to her has already been broken out.” Great, now you know things are going to heck in a handbasket fast. But first you have to get the girls to safety. You look up at the Zeppelin as it travels over the city, watching over you as you move down the Nazi banner-laden streets.

As annoying as it is, you can’t just shoot it down. Berlin’s still a city with innocent, albeit incredibly racist and fascist, people in it. And you can’t waste time boarding it either.

Hm, what to do, where to go?

It's Berlin during the height of the Third Reich. Setting it on fire will only improve things.

Also, hopefully these bloons are full of something that just goes "puff" instead of rocket fuel like the Hindenburg.

“Right turn, Rana!” you shout. The tank grinds the road apart from the handbrake turn which nearly throws you out of the turret hatch. Christ almighty, calm down, Rana! At this point you almost prefer Sumire as a driver! You hang on for dear life as you continue to command Rana up and down streets. Civilians duck and dive out of the way of your tank and your truck. And still you’re lingering in the shadow of that Zeppelin.

Finally, you pull into an alleyway, and find yourself at a lockup to meet a few surprised people. “Why did you bring a tank!?” yells one of them, an old man. You can understand his crotchety behavior, you’d be mad too. You and Rana immediately bail out, then start helping the girls out of the trucks and into the lockup. In this alleyway between two relatively tall buildings, the Zeppelin hopefully won’t have a good view if you’re directly below them.

“Just take these girls and get them out!” you yell. “We have a man outside Berlin who can take them off your hands!” They nod, hurrying to take the girls into another truck.

“What about the tank?” says one of the girls. Oh right, the tank.

“Uh. You can keep it,” you say.

“What?” Rana whines a bit. “But I-“

“I’m joking, blow it up,” you say. Rana nods, using her soul ring hand to reach up under her skirt and pull out a very large satchel charge. She sets a fuse then lights it, tossing it up into the turret hatch. That’ll blow in about thirty seconds, which gives you ample time to get into the truck and speed on away.

And with a loud kaboom, two trucks speed out of the alley, and thankfully the Zeppelin is still pursuing you. Never thought you’d think that, huh. You can hear sirens of police vehicles approaching, along with the wailing of light armored vehicles. “Rana!” you yell. She nods, letting you take the wheel as she leans out the side of cab. The magical sparkles catch the wind as she transforms into her magical regalia.

> MAGICAL GIRL BOMBER! <

She reaches up her skirt, then pulls out one of her signature M1921 Thompsons. She fires a couple of bursts at the speeding police vehicles, catching one of them and causing it to crash into a storefront window and explode brilliantly in a ball of fire. But more are coming as you approach the Reichstag.

And with that, a roadblock appears in your way. A half track and a police cruiser attempt to block your path towards the Reichstag. “Get in!” you yell. Bomber hops back in. The men manning the roadblock dive out of the way. And you brace yourself again for a big crash.

You slam your head against the wheel, nearly knocking you out as the cars are blown out of the way, but you feel one of the tires get smashed in the process. You look over to see a fight going on the steps of the Reichstag. Lightning, Tiger, and Pavise engaging with the Wolf Pack and several acolytes. You hit the brakes and skid the truck to a stop, barreling up the steps towards a big statue in the middle of a square outside of it. You and Bomber step out. “Go, go!” she yells to you.

You nod, transforming.

> MAGICAL GIRL LIBERTY! <

You hurry to help your girls in the fight. Bomber stays back to blast at the incoming reinforcements. Lightning wields the silver sword with surprising expertise, slashing and hacking at the Wolves who want to grab or punch her out. But she’s taking limbs left and right, stabbing them into the ground, or slashing them across the throat. Tiger and Pavise only really are there to support her, keeping her from being pounced from behind. “Lightning!” you yell.

She looks back, grinning at you. “Hey, Libby! You’re missing out on-“ She’s suddenly knocked by the corpse of an acolyte, and she goes barreling down the steps towards you. Pavise and Tiger turn around to see the big Alpha himself, backed up by his wife.

> Help Lightning up and run, you’ve got what you came here for!

“Lightning, get up!” You grab her shoulder and pull her up. “We are leaving now!”

“What!?” She yells at you, incredulous. “But we’ve got silver weapons! We can take him now!” she whines.

“No arguing, go!” you push her back towards the truck. You look at Pavise and Tiger, and at the sight of your anger, they immediately bolt as well. You’re about to run as well, but Zähne leaps at you. You turn around and draw the silver shield from your back. And the punch he gives it sends shockwaves all across the square, kicking up dust everywhere.

His hand scorches black, burning into smoke. He cries in pain, holding his wrist as he comes to a kneel. Wow, that silver really works well! “Puppy!” The Baroness screams in fright, coming over to aid her husband. Not on your watch. You charge at her, and she jumps back in surprise. “You dare attack Baroness von Streucker!?” she shouts. Zähne reaches back, and pulls out a long sword from his pack and throws it to his wife. She grabs it, ripping the sheathe off and drawing the gleaming white sword from it. “I’ll make you pay!”

Agh, you’re not here to fight anymore! You turn around and start running for the truck.

But as you do, you’re conked on the back of the head by a rock. You turn around, yelling in pain. You see that the Baroness is advancing on you, wiping her hand clean on a rag after having thrown that rock. “I know who you are, Lady Liberty. I know the powers that be that lie within your body. I know that you are one of the most feared people in the Fuhrer’s inner circle!” She stabs her sword into the ground. “But you do not frighten me! And you most certainly are not going to turn down a chance to beat me, are you?”

“Come on!” yells Pavise. “We have to go!” She’s challenging your pride.

I will agree that the entire conceit behind Magical Girl Liberty is pretty great. Diesel-era pulp adventure with magical girls and other magical stuff should offer plenty to work with. It's basically any other pulp adventure (Crimson Skies, Indiana Jones, etc.) with a bit more fantasy to it.
>>
>>45267643
A Western superhero done in the stylings of a magical girl. Or maybe something like Axis Powers Hetalia crossed with Sailor Moon.

>>45267682
What other eras would work well?
>>
>>45267682

It takes a certain, relentless boner for history to really make it work though. It also really limits the plot, since the historical parallel falls out real quick if players are actually allowed to impact shit.
>>
>>45267780
The 1950s. You could go for full Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe style pulp sci-fi mixed with Magical Girl stuff. I had considered running something like that but it's on the backburner for now.

>>
>>45267965

It's not very much like this setting then, is it? Honestly, though, if you want to run something like that, go for it. I will say though, that sword and sorcery and magical girls makes the whole magical aspect lose a lot of pop. The whole point of magical girls is that they are magical in a world that is otherwise mundane, after all.

In many sword and sorcery settings, magic is rare and/or limited to villains.

“You’re not worth my time.”

She gnashes her teeth. “Yo coward!” You turn around and start running again. “Come back here now! I demand that you-“ You hear the rushing of bootsteps behind you. “No, puppy, wait! Don’t!” You grip the buckle of the shield, and feel it start to spin up. Hm, your predecessor had the right idea. You quickly turn around and swipe your shield across.

And it guts Zähne, spilling his black blood across the concrete floor of the square. He gasps, gripping his gut as he bleeds. In complete shock, he tries to reach out “No!” Streucker runs to her husband, catching him in her arms. “No! No!” Tears start streaming down Streucker’s cheeks as she holds her husband’s lifeless body in her arms. “Zähne, puppy, please no!” She sobs uncontrollably, kneeling down and cradling the body of her husband, trying to shake him awake. “Don’t go! No! No!”

For a moment, you almost feel bad for her. Then you remember she’s a Nazi who almost was complacent, no, developed a system of systematically using young girls to breed an army of werewolves. She deserves nothing from you. You quickly hop onto the truck, and you immediately speed out of there.

“I’ll get you for this, Liberty!” Streucker screams out to you as you run away. “I will find you! I will see to it that everything you love is destroyed! America will be burnt to ash, and everyone you love will suffer because of you!”

Sumire smiles as you pant, taking a cooldown as Bomber shoots away at the pursuing police vehicles. You’re not out of the woods yet, but by God you’ve killed most of the Wolf Pack, and destroyed most any chance that Baroness von Streucker had of getting that darn project off the ground. And you saved those girls from a terrible fate. Hopefully they’re reunited with their families soon, or at least taken into protective custody if they’re orphans but that’s a different story. “Ha!” She punches you gently on the back. “See, we could’ve taken him!”

Night has fallen as you reach a nondescript farmhouse owned by some sympathetic communists. An agent directed you there to hideout until a plane could be chartered to extract you out of Germany with a good cover story and in relatively safety. But for now, you were residing in their cellar, where a flag of the hammer and sickle was hanging. You almost tore it down when you saw it. It reminded you too much of Winter, and how complacent she and every other Russian was in the storming of Poland. Rana and Anneliese nap on the cot provided to you, resting on each other’s shoulders, cuddling up beneath a blanket. Meanwhile, Sumire and Alena have an armwrestling competition over a crate of oranges, intent on seeing who’s the strongest.

As for you though, you and Kirby were sitting by a radio, being debriefed by Operator #5. “The death of Zähne along with the vast majority of his Wolf Pack is a devastating blow by itself. But freeing the girls and ensuring the Lebensborn project headed by Baroness von Streucker is the one we are most interested in. You have done well in the face of failure, Liberty, I must apologize for scolding you earlier.”

“It’s fine,” you say. “How long until we get extracted?”

“You can expect a barnstormer to arrive at the doorstep of those farmers tomorrow morning to pick you up. In the meantime, rest, and we will be sure to alert you if your position is exposed Do you have any questions before I sign off?”

“Not really, sir,” you say. “But… why even send me on an observation mission in the first place? We could’ve done so much more if you’d just allow us to attack and destroy everything. We probably caused so much more damage to us going into Berlin and exposing ourselves like that.”
>>
>>45268251
[3/3]

“Unfortunately, I must admit that is my mistake. I thought we could do this cautiously and quietly end the Lebensborn project through a variety of factors, your reputation alone is apparently sending shocks through the Nazi hierarchy. However, the Baroness simply underestimated you perhaps. And as for me, I thought that perhaps I could send you into Berlin, to scare the Germans, to make them fear you. To make them understand that if they go to war with the US, they incur your wrath.”

“… and?”

“Let’s just say that I was wrong. Things will not be the same on the homefront with such a display of magic on German soil. I will further debrief you when you arrive home.”

The radio cuts out, and you sigh. You look over at Kirby, who tilts his head at you. “What do you think?” you ask.

“There will certainly be repercussions for the actions of the past week or two,” he says. “I believe they will be worked out, but unfortunately I believe something like this may further sow mistrust between the nations of Germany and the US. And as a result, may lead to war in the near future.”

Hopefully soon, you’d love to free Anneliese’s home and stick it to the krauts.

“Ha!” Sumire slams Alena’s hand on the crate, winning the battle over her. “I win!”

“No fair!” says Alena. “You were using more of your arm or… something!” Sumire rolls her eyes as you throw off your jacket and unbutton your blouse as you head to your cot. “Oh, are you going to bed already?”

“I’m tired,” you say. You sit down, sighing. Sumire rests her head on your lap, smirking. “… Sumire.”

“Come on…” She runs her fingers up your thigh, making you twitch and blush a bit at the sensitive touch. “You want me to go to bed with you?”

German reinforcements were definitely on the way, so the sooner to get out, the better. Either way, Liberty came away with a win. The Lebensborn project is in shambles, Zahne is dead, and the Wolf Pack is all but completely destabilized.

Oh, you’d never been one to turn down a night with Sumire. “Fine. Hop in.” She grins smugly at Alena, then slides on in next to you. She hurries underneath the blanket with you as Alena watches enviously. You squeak involuntarily, then look underneath the blanket to see Sumire smirking up at you, her head resting beneath her thighs. That was a VERY bad spot to kiss, Sumire. “Get up here.” She huffs, scooting up next to you.

“Well er…” Alena bites her lip, twiddling her fingers a little as she looks at you and Sumire. “I guess this is good night then?”

“Yeah, good night, greaseball,” says Sumire as she tugs on the chain and turns out the lights.

You turn on the lights, looking at a saddened Alena. “If you want to hope in with us, you can.”

She smiles, then immediately slides in next to you as well. Sumire groans, rolling her butt around until she faces the wall. Alena meanwhile cozies up next to you happily, kissing you on the cheek. Great, great just great. You pat Alena on the head, then tug on the chain, cutting out the light.

Things aren’t done though. You look up at Kirby. And through your minds, you talk with him. “Is something the matter?” you ask.

Kirby nods. “Just now, I felt something strange. I will report to Operator #5 when we return.” He disappears, off to watch the farmhouse, considering he doesn’t need sleep or eat or anything.

But what is it that he felt? You look to your right, to see a shooting star right outside the cellar window. You never were one to make wishes. Mom never taught you to rely on fools stuff like wishes or luck or anything like that. You could use a wish right now though.

“My lady!” A gas masked trooper waves over to Knives. She drops down from her command car as they walk through the Pacific island jungle. Ever since what happened in Australia, things have been tense for the remnants of the Magisch Korps. But they have survived, and they have tried to rebuild. The most dedicated soldiers have remained loyal, the Little Lady airship was still operational, and best of all out in the Pacific isles there was no shortage of indigenous tribes to recruit and “reform”. “It landed somewhere around here.”

“Here!” Another trooper calls to them.

Knives huffs, brushing a bit of dirt and grime off of her already dirty uniform. “This better be worth it, Gerhard. You know that I throw people who waste my time into the incinerator.”

Gerhard nods stiffly. “Yes, my lady.” He points ahead, where a squad of troopers and one of the Magisch Korps’ last remaining halftracks have gathered. A column of smoke was nearly obscuring what was inside this large crater. But a blue light is pulsating, gently, just enough that everyone knows something is down there.

“Go see what it is,” she orders. He nods, sliding down the rocky incline of the crater. He dusts away the smoke to reveal a man-sized capsule, pill-like in shape, and on its surface was but a single circular window. Gerhard slowly leans in to see what is inside.

The other troopers quickly grab their weapons, ready to fire at what is inside. “Wait!” yells Knives. The capsule explodes open. She smirks as the visitor from outer space steps out into the crater, steam blasting off of her metallic skin. Out of her back come six robotic arms, not to mention her taking the form of what appears to be any other average teenage girl. Black wraps and tape crisscross her thighs and arms, along with what appear to be hasty weld marks across her cheeks. Her eyes are a solid blue, with a hexagonal pattern flowing across them as she examines her surroundings.

Knives slowly slides down the crater, then offers her hand. The visitor recoils, her extra arms immediately glowing red and intent on blasting her to bits. “Ah, ah, ah!” Knives holds up her hand. “… tell me. Which picture do you prefer?” She holds up two pictures of Magical Girl Liberty, one from behind while she is showering, naked and without a care in the world. And the other in mid pitch, throwing a baseball while wearing a short minidress as a form of promotion for a company. “I personally prefer the minidress, something about the imagination really spurs me on.”

The visitor stares at her.

“Seeing as how you’re staring at me like that, you probably understand what I am saying, no?” The visitor nods. “I’ll take that as a yes. But let me be the first to tell you right now, you are on foreign lands. You are probably the only one of your kind to land here. And you would never survive out here on your own. Let me tell you though, I am not here to kill you.” Knives offers her hand, grinning madly. The visitor looks down at it, then slowly, she takes it.

“We come in peace, for all mankind.”

I was actually wondering, since we were talking about the premise of Magical Girl Liberty and how it's high fantasy pulp adventure, when the aliens were going to show up.

This can end only in one way: a battle in a moonbase! (Or Mars base if we want to riff a little the original X-COM.)
