Your mother and archemesis Hellenica were pretty close yet unable to face each other. With heavy steps you advanced across the halls and corridors of the Academy you were at and saw several skeletal remains wherever you went you saw a fog of Chronorganic Oxydizer, the thick orange rust colored gas whirled on the feet of your mechanic gargant and created ethereal tentacles that sucked the live of everything organic that they came by. Nobody but the Necrons seemed to be able to survive contact with that gas; plants, animals and sentient beings were unable to escape its grasp and soon found themselves aged to death before they could react.

Even if you couldn’t control the Possessed humans anymore you knew they were still out there. Their nonsensic screams and the breathless wheezing that their alien bionics produced could be heard around you. Their deathless state made them immune to the Chronorganic Oxidizer, something that your own troops and you couldn’t say. This new biological weapon was indeed a revolutionary form of Exterminatus; it killed anything that lived while leaving machines and infrastructure intact, any hope of reinforcements or help was now futile…

After ascending a set of ample aluminum stairs and crossing a greatly detailed great gate you found yourself in the great hall of the Academy; the same place where you found the Magii Coven for the first time as they stood in front of the fireplace several days ago. One the seats and floor several skeletons remained, judging by their high-end bionics they were the original members of the Coven...Betrayed just as you were in the final moments of the judgment day. In the end of the room and sitting on a throne rested the Necron turned body of your mother, on her hands she had two skulls, one organic and the other mechanic; those skulls were of your late brother and father respectively.
>>
>>45049696

“I had never had any hope for you… " She started to say with a voice that was even more mechanic and dead sounding that the one that she had before. "Of all the ones that I have spawned you were pretty unremarkable and the only thing that was noteworthy of yourself was your resilience to death and how much of a wayward vagabond you are. You aren’t better than a rat that hops from spaceship to spaceship and travels across the starts leaving behind a trail of detritus and cadavers…”

You didn’t let his words affect you and continued on your path towards her. Looking at her closer it was obvious that while she rejected her humanity she didn’t completely embraced being a Necron and maintained several details that made her look somewhat more human. Her chest had a couple of breasts on them and her hips were ample, it seemed that even in this newly acquired body she wanted to show the Silent King that she was the mother of all the test subjects that she had spawned for him…in a sickening way you were pretty sure that she felt as if all those children, including you, weren’t of Axsiselios but his.
>>
>>45049714

“Yet here I am mother, I am the one who killled Axsiselios and Neh-than…and I’ll be too the one who ends you. You are a traitor of the highest order, a betrayer of the sacred cause of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the entire human race. I am Magos Errant Heracor Nahive, Techpriest of Telematha, Enginseer of the Micerian Spitfires, Kroot Hunter of Heptium Cuatt, Driver-Survivor of Madloota’s Death Races, Destroyer of Craftworld Jasdevi, The Luminangelus of the Nameless world, Adept of the Inquisitor Iantorus, Maximum Skitarius of Lux in Tenebris and finally…your perdition. Fear me for I am death Incarnate.”

>The Necron Knight carries a Hyperphase War-Scythe and a Dispersion Shield, inside of your pod grab your own shield and lance and attack her in honorable close combat.

You were located inside a spherical pod that rested in the core of the Necron Knight. The pod was flooded with an amber and semitransparent liquid that somehow let you breathe in and captured all the movements that you did to transmit them to the mechanic suit you were in.

After grabbing your lance and shield the Knight's eyes shinned with a light of righteous fury, it seemed that the original machine spirit that inhabited this Knight survived being transformed by the Necron scientists and engineers and that its tortured cibertronic soul was now regaining hope now that you were its pilot and master. In an instant the synergy of the now reawakened machine spirit and your own actions made the Knight become way more efficient, it had become harder, better, faster, stronger.

Your mother crushed the two skulls with only using one hand for each and demonstrated a surprisingly inhuman strength that her lithe body didn't seemed to have at first. With a jump she stood up and ascended into the air as a Hyperphase Warscythe teleported into her right hand.

>Try to parry her attack and stop her advance with a kick or another attack.

Slow day it is...in case no more people appear in an hour I'll quit it for today and try again in a couple of days or so.

>Try to block her attack to see the effect of the two hyperphase weapons in contact and test how powerful she is.

With a powerful descending arch you placed your warscythe on collision course against her own weapon, inside of your liquid filled pod several electrical sparks formed around your arms and started to twirl like snakes that tried to constrict you. When the two blades touched a black spark formed and a crystalline like sound reverberated all across the room and vibrated with a frequency that phased in an out of reality and eventually made all the objects of crystal that were around to burst into a million pieces.

Your mental concentration and undiluted rage didn't let you become phased by this and ignoring everything else but her you continued attacking over and over. With her new body she could block all your attacks with ease but it seemed that the intensity you fought with was something she had trouble to face. It was obvious that she lacked some fighting esprit and that the years working on the mascarade that she created to cover the Necrons had made her gone soft.

After a great flurry of slashes and jabs you managed to send her several feet away, not because you had tired her or anything, she was simply appalled by your rushed manner of combat. Surely she now considered you even more barbarous and unworthy, you hoped that it was this way for this would only further feed your inner rage.

Around you the combat zone had now become an empty ground full of skeletal remains and debris, the floor was filled with spiraling tentacles of orange Chronorganic Oxydizer and the air was now full of floating particles of crystal that had formed after several continuous impacts between the two weapons.

>Try to corner her and stomp her under your feet.

>Hey Ax, how's life treating you man?
Today I had two fucking exams that took about two hours each and have been insufferably hard. I barely slept and I had bad dreams. I'm on a caffeine high and I'm considering pushing myself even further with some RedBull or Monster. At least I'm not sick anymore.

How about you anon?
>>

Just got started at work but hey, nothing wrong with having a second window open on the computer. Least your health is back man
>>
>>45050607
>Even if she can block all your attacks she seems to have a limit, attack her endlessly until she makes a mistake and you can land a blow on her.

Not wanting to give her a second of peace you strode towards her and continued to endlessly attack. With each of her blocks another invisible phasing shockwave was created and the areas around started to become more structurally affected and after only a couple of seconds of continuous attacking several cracks and tremors started to appear all around you.

It doesn't takes much more to reach her limit break and see her falling backwards once more. It isn't that her body fails as she now dons a perfect chassis, its her own pride the one that makes her fall back. She thinks of herself as the nearest thing there is as perfection and being unable to do anything but stop your attacks fills her with an unseen frustration that devours her from inside.

>Your shield has a Gauss Blaster, use it.

This is your opportunity! You raise your mighty dispersion shield and use your massive Gauss Blasters to cover her with a beam of atom destabilizing energy that vaporizes her layer by layer. You don't know for how long you have bathed her with your green energy as all you can see is a green flash and the almost erogenous feeling of murderous vengeance filling your body and making you squirm in pleasure.

By the time the energy disperses you manage to see a completely atrophied figure that once was your mother. She isn't death but stunned, her body has sustained so much damage that the reparation protocols have activated and are now quickly fixing her Necrodermis body to her original pristine form.

>Shoot again and again until in a tug of war like competition between your Gauss weapons and her own regenerating Necrodermis

>>

>Crush her under the feet of your massive Knight like the insect that she is
You raised the right leg of your mechanoid body and promptly smashed your own mother under your soles. The already fractured floor ended succumbing and you two fell for a couple of stories until reached what seemed to be the basement, you didn't ceased then and continued stomping on her several times and watching how with each attack more and more of her body broke and pieces got stuck on your soles.

Even then she managed to survive, she had inherited the resilience of the Necrons and the survival instincts of humanity.

>Shoot again and again until in a tug of war like competition between your Gauss weapons and her own regenerating Necrodermis

You backed away and noticed that your several stomping had even managed to create a small crater on the floor, in the center of it lied the skeletal wretched remains of your mother. Each one of her Necrodermis bones that composed her broken but with her spirit still intact. Another thing that had managed to survive the torture was her Warscythe which remained completely pristine even despise the beating that it suffered.

Weakly her body managed to regenerate in a impossibly quick speed and soon her among other things her right arm became completely healed. She grabbed the Scythe and used it as a cane of some sort to help herself into standing up. You simply looked at her pitifully and aimed your Gauss Blaster with the trigger ready to shoot.

Any other person might have deserved some seconds to spew their last words but not her. You pressed the trigger and then watched another great flash of green light.

On the corner of your your only remaining eye you managed to catch a small bright glint. You reacted and followed it and saw something that you didn't expected.

In the the ceiling of the floor above you there was the deeply lodged Warscythe of Hellenica. She had apparently launched it towards the massive gap that you two had created before hand. Ar first you weren't unsure if this was a failed attack directed towards you or a muscular reaction that her spasm covered body caused but that didn't mattered much to you. Once again the green Gauss fire ceased to generate from the twin barrels of your guns... you expected to see the completely chewed skeletal remains of your mother but you instead found...nothing.

Thinking that you had completely obliterated her was your first thought but then considered that getting in consideration the staggering regeneration powers that she had this was mathematically impossible. Not within such a small amount of time you could have deatomized her completely.

Several stressfull seconds passed until the answer struck you back. You looked once again at the Scythe and your hypothesis became true, your mother was now on the upper floor slowly regenerating while trying to hide from you. Before the start of the fight she had teleported the weapon to her skeletal hands so why couldn't the inverse happen, two way teleporters are a existing thing after all. By launching her weapon she had managed to escape from your Gauss energy beams by teleporting towards the new coordinates of the Scythe.
>>
>>45052803

She was still badly damaged and crippled beyond repair, even for the regenerating circuits that were integrated on her body, the only remaining thing that wasn't completely broken was the same arm that had launched the Scythe in the first place. On the hand of that working arm there was a glowing viridian green orb of strange properties that started to gain in brightness and covered her with a veil of green electrical arcs that started to heal even her most grievous wounds.

You didn't knew at first how to ascend into her location but then once again the solution came to you. If the Emperor doesn't goes to the mountain then the mountain will go to the Emperor... You once again grabbed your Gauss Blasters and proceeded to demolish the floor she was standing in.

When she noticed what you were doing her expressionless face made something that you thought was impossible and somehow managed to show how stressed she was. She only had one remaining working arm, she had to choose between grabbing the still lodged Scythe and avoid falling but remain completely crippled or continue holding the Regeneration Orb and doom herself.

Her own pride made her prefer to risk falling down than to remain like a badly damaged yet alive person and she fell down. You once again didn't gave her any chance and proceeded to shoot and stomp on her to guarantee that she was dead at all cost. At the end your rage and the power of your attacks was so big that it made break the floor and fall down towards a black abyss that was seemingly endless.

>Get out of the Knight and descend, see where this hole leads.

Everything spun at an incredible speed but on the interior of your liquid filled pod you remained in a stable position. The mental images that the Knight's eyes were feeding you were very disorientating and vomit inducing but you managed to remain calm and managed to open the pod and liberate yourself. In an instant most part of the liquid managed to spill out and you were violently launched out.

Quickly you expanded your many wings and splashed the strange liquid that used to cover you in all directions before suddenly stopping and realizing that you were only mere inches away from crushing yourself against the rocky wall. After that you looked upwards and saw that the Academy was falling apart and sending several fragments of rockcrete from the gaping maw that you had just created, quickly you looked down and saw the Knight and your mother's body falling down into the darkness, you proceeded to avoid the raining projectiles and finally watched how at the end the massive hole became sealed with its own debris.
>>
>>45053284

The hole you entered in was initially the only source of light and now that it was covered all became surrounded by a veil of black void. With the help of your flamer dendrite and your other light spewing weapons you managed to create a small aura of lux that helped you descending. You went down for several feet and after some long and stressing seconds you managed to saw a light at the end of the tunnel and heard a massive "Clonk!" like sound that the two bodies made when they impacted. You accelerated and descended like a bolt of light and found something that you didn't expected at all, you had returned to the same hidden village that you had turned into a safe haven.

It was with its floor covered in orange mist, a quick look made you see that there were still several Possessed ones crawling around.

You got on top of the Manufactorum and spread your wings as much as you could while screaming.

"Hellooooo! Is anyone there!? Hellooo!"

Nobody answered at first and the only thing that you managed was to gather the attention of the closest Possessed ones that sluggishly tried to move towards you. You had lost all hope and then something pulled from you, you looked down and saw a small hand that was poking out from a small hatch and that was pulling from your robes. You completely opened the hatch and saw a youngling Nox Vox member that was indicating you to stay quiet and follow him. Once inside you found a small yet hope inspiring gathering of several people, the Nox Vox members were now completely working together with the techpriests and seemed to have left behind all their differences. It was sad to know that only in the direst moments could humanity fully work together...

"Insult: You are a traitor..." Said one of the Techpriests

"I am no traitor, I did what I thought was best..."

You were pretty tired and honestly you didn't had much more energy to argue with him.

"You left us all behind and then tried to exterminate us with that biological weapon." Said a female Vox-Nox member

"The TimeRust..." Added a sad sounding old man, possibly one that had been affected by the gas and was quick enough to survive before dying from old age.

"Well, we are now the last remnants, the hopeless ones. Kill us all if we want, we know that on the other side we, unlike you, will meet the Emperor."

"I'm not a traitor!" You yelled. "I am just another survivor just like you all, I want to get out of this hopeless planet, to get as many of you as we can!"

A great awkward silence formed after that.
>>
>>45054064

"Idea: It is possible...but we cannot do it on our own." Said another techpriest, apparently one that still believed in you."

"Tell me and I will do it."

"Idea: I don't know if you have noticed it but the TimeRust is heavier than air and thus always maintains itself pretty low, like a fog. If we manage to get airtight suits we should be safe from its noxious effects."

"T-There are several pieces of airtight armor that we managed to craft, get as many as you can up there...The Tank is also done and ready but we haven't been able to drive it so far due to our incapability to reach it..."

"Do it and we will slowly trust you again..."

"It will be done, Ave Omnissiah."

>Return to the corpse of your mother, assure that she's dead and maybe loot her weapons

Before doing the mission that they had assigned to you, you decided to search the area where the Knight Suit and your mother had landed. With the crash they both managed to crush and demolish a small living block and kill a couple of unfortunate Possessed ones that were near. After you found her you saw that she was in fact alive and awakened.
>>
>>45054095

"The Resurrection Orb has failed me...Mag'ladroth didn't wanted me to reawaken...the Void Dragon didn't wanted me to awaken once more and be the Silent Queen, mother of the two races...I have failed Szarekh...I'm so sorry my love." Apparently she thought during her delirium that you were the Silent King by surely mistaking your skeletal face with his, by using her last forces she raised and grabbed your face to plant a cold yet warm kiss on your lips before completely dying. A kiss that wasn't directed to you, yet a kiss that felt motherly to a degree, and slightly made you hate her less.

She died ashamed of herself and in intense pains. At the end you looked at her dead body and somehow managed to empathize with her. You and she weren't so different after all.
