The cheering crowds. The familiar sound, that roar of joy. You're hearing it all again. You look around and can't help but smile, noticing Goku doing a little stretch. He laughs. "Heh heh, a bit nostalgic, us being here again, isn't it?"

You crack your knuckles. "Last couple times this same scenario happened, I managed to win. You might've beaten me in the semifinals last time, but here? I've got a track record."

"Hah! Tell you what, you win, I make some Monte Cristos." he says jokingly. Goku then gives a curious look. "Say... Maple, I know you've got some tricks up your sleeves for this round. And, well... can you promise me something?"

You can't help but raise an eyebrow. "You're planning on something. All right, out with it, monkey boy."

Goku gives a little clap. "Whatever you're planning... and I think I have SOME idea... don't hold back." He grins. "Not that I think you would, but... well, you've always been the smarter fighter. If I, if we ever want to fight at our best, can't pull any punches. Besides, aheh, might force the both of us to come up with new strategies on the fly!"

Hah, it's funny...'

Heh, he has a point. You look towards the Announcer guy, who's positively giddy with anticipation. "All right folks, the final match of the 24th World Martial Arts Tournament shall begin!" He pulls his free hand back. "Fighter's ready? GO!" he roars as he punches into the sky with excitement.

Goku bolts at you, far quicker than you were expecting, but you manage to get your defenses up before he can land the intended first blow. You push yourself out of the way off his arm, Goku stopping himself and attempting a roundhouse kick aimed for your head. With your telekinesis-enhanced reflexes, you duck out of the way effortlessly this time, falling into a flip, then pushing yourself up on your feet. Goku bolts at you again, attempting the Ki Jan Ken, with you tanking and blocking each hit. Finally he tries for a slash with his tail, following it into a grab on your arm after you dodge it. But as he pulls you in, you slam your elbow into his face, freeing yourself and getting some distance again.

As Goku backs up, he looks back at you, rubbing his cheek and smiling like a doofus. "Nice one, Maple!" He takes his stance again. "But it's gonna take a lot more than that to win this."

"You're right, monkey boy." Okay Maple, get ready... "Let's get serious about this!" You prep your Spirit Bits, flying them around Goku and forcing him on the defensive as you lunge at him. Keeping some hidden from sight, and with the others focusing his attention on them, you ready the Izumi Combo and land a hard series of palm strikes against Goku, finishing it off with a Spirit Stinger-enhanced uppercut, and finally a Clothes Beam blind him... but one that also changes his outfit slightly. More elastic, don't want a wardrobe malfunction when you do your little trick.

With a burst of Ki Goku manages to throw off the blinding cloth and delivers a dive-kick to the ground, leaving a crater in the arena. What's more... you can feel him start to use more of his power. It's probably only up to 30,000 at max, given in short bursts, but... he's more and more willing to transform.

So, it seems that we have two ways to go about this:

Make Goku Oozaru-out before he transforms, and limit his power boosts to around the 10x level; however, it's very possible for him to try and disrupt the false moon by blasting it with Ki or something. The transformation back and forth might sap his stamina a bit, and make him vulnerable while transforming to and from each form. However, he may still be able to fight real well in either form and even after he transforms back.

If we surprise him in SSJ form with the false moon, then it could be Goku may only have moments before he completely runs out of juice while he transforms into a golden Oozaru. However, it also means getting off a Moon Blast while fighting SSJ Goku, and possibly dealing with an impossibly powerful foe for a few moments while he tires himself out in Oozaru form.

How long does Goku have transformed if we destroy the false moon. Also would it be possible for us reabsorb the false moon's energy?

Okay, not gonna do it just yet... but better be ready. You try to keep up the offensive, bolting at Goku... and he dodges your strike. And gives you a playful little poke on the nose. You stumble and spin into the ground, quickly picking yourself up, when... "KAIO-KEN!" Goku blitzes at you with tremendous speed, and doesn't let you get another hit in, pummeling you with a Meteor Combo and forcing you down to the ground. You use the Raio-ken to move out of the way and try to counter with your Spirit Bits, but a flash of foresight tells you... he's at least three steps ahead of you now. And there isn't a thing you can do about it. Goku's got too big an advantage against you right now, and you just can't match his attacks. Blow after blow, strike after strike, it wears you down.

You finally manage to put some serious distance between the two of you, but the damage has been done. Gods, that hurt. Goku stands with a confident smirk. "Heh, looks like I'm getting better and better at this. But... I've still got a lot more strength left, Maple." You can feel his Ki start to surge, hair standing on end...

This is gonna be tough... but you've got to do it! 'Raditz, it's time.' you warn the Saiyan telepathically, and then dad, and... well, Goku might be expecting this. You place your hands in front of your face like you're about to make a Solar Flare. "Monkey boy, you're right... I can't beat you at full power."

Goku tries to shield himself, but becomes curious by your comment. "Well, I-"

"But I can win this, by moonlight!" you roar, forming the ball of Ki and throwing it into the air. "Burst open and mix!" Jackpot. Goku's glance at it has stopped him from powering up, and while you do feel him grow stronger, it's within what you're capable of. While he's caught up transforming, to the shock of the crowds, you heal yourself up, restoring Ki and Stamina and recovering what damage you can. It's not up to full strength when Goku's done transforming, but it's more than enough to have evened things out.

Goku looks around, a bit surprised... and then laughs. "HAHA, YOU'RE A GENIUS, MAPLE! WELL... LOOKS LIKE I HAVE NO CHOICE... BUT DON'T THINK YOU'VE WON JUST YET!"

You quickly destroy the Fake Moon and take your stance against the towering opponent. Better get ready...

Okay, time to give it your all! "RAIO-TEN!" Your purple aura blazes around you, sparks flying in the air, and with an addition of the Kaio-ken, the red and purple Ki burning around you leaves a trail as you dash at Goku. While larger, he's certainly not any slower, and he even manages to meet your first couple blows... but you're able to take them. And you finally manage to gain the upper hand against him, to the utter amazement of the audience. You hear some of your friends cheering for you, some for Goku. As you fight, you even manage to grapple him by the tail, spinning him around and slamming him on the ring, but barely missing getting him out of bounds.

But one thing that this form does seem to give him that you weren't expecting was far, far better durability. He can take a hit and keep going and going. You both keep at it, Goku trying his hardest to keep up, and while it's taking a lot out of you to use this much power, it's doing some real damage. Goku tries to pull out a trump card, cupping his hands together and pulling them back. He's building up a... tremendous amount of energy. "KIIIIING... KAAAA... MEEEE..."

You cup your hands together as well. "Just like old times, monkey boy?" And promptly bring up the Spirit Bits you hid earlier on, blasting Goku with them to stun him. "You should know better than that." You manage to get enough time out of this to get the Denjin Kamehameha up to a full charge, Goku breaking out of the stun and getting his own Kamehameha ready.

"HAAAA... MEEEEE... HAAAAAAA!!!" the two of you roar as you launch your attacks. While Goku's is less focused, more like an unrelenting true wave of Ki, yours is able to stop it... and push it back. You roar out as you pour your Ki into the attack, the two beams creating a titanic explosion that sends you and Goku back. You manage to stop yourself in midair... but Goku stops just outside the ring, feet planted firmly on the ground.

For a moment, nobody can believe what just happened. The air is still, silent as you float down and fall to your knees. Finally, the Announcer guy makes the call. "AND THAT IS IT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! MAPLE SON-MAHOGANY IS ONCE AGAIN THE WORLD MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPION!" The cheers echo through the grounds, Goku starting to return to normal, laughing as he approaches.

"Well, you beat me. Nice job, Maple." your husband says with a smile, pulling you back up on your feet.
