I know I'm digging my den and you can freeze to death outside you cheeky cunt. Go collect troll toll from a bridge.
>>
Eventually we can use the grasslands to raise sheep, then disembowel the sheep and make houses from the carcasses
>>
>>44771527
Alright Grasslands it is

We are the children of endurance and of strength we've been given a vision by our gods to unite our race into one mighty people and to destroy those who would get in our way!

Gods
Torg God of War, blood and honor (Honor being the strict no use of fire or acid weaponry)
Varra the mother of nature and of trolls
The waves gods of the trolls more closely aligned to water
Merg the stunted one God of trickery and Cunning.
Types of trolls
Swamp trolls are more sneaky and can swim but smell terribly so it's best to not have them as the diplomats
Cave Trolls are more focused on building and mining their precious whatever it may be at the time but hate the sun as they can't see when it's out
Good Ole Trolls
Greater fighters and fairly okay at interactions with evil aligned races however their rage is legendary and have a harder time going for peaceful options with hated enemies.

It's not an odor most would detect from far away or even if a swamp troll was to get close to you while sneaking. It's more of a scent they release when they're around creatures they consider allies.
>>

I mean, there are plenty of times I smell something terrible, but I have no idea where it's coming from. They're basically walking dead mice that quietly creep around you.

That better be figurative expression for social contact with foreigners, because we don't actually build bridges, my boy, we claim them by virtue of them being bridges and us being trolls, and we then carry out our ancient tradition that is Troll Toll

They set about their tasks with the hope to be forgiven for their brothers failings. The Hunters decide to stalk the nearby rivers and lakes and find an abundance of fish and crab that bring as much back as they can carry. +10 food. The scouts race through the plains seeking any sort of useful landmark or object and find a large tower with dreaded flames being slowly put out as the morning sun approaches they can see what looks to be humans and quickly race off quietly back to the rest in order to inform their kin of the danger Found Human settlement

Lucky ducks
The cave trolls being to use some surrounding logs in order to form axes and spears they hammer away endlessly through the day making enough to outfit 15 of the regular Troll warriors Durrak the Maw takes what looks to be a boulder attached to a stick as his weapon. 3 trolls of the three different types gather together and each pray to their respective god Torg demands blood, Varia imparts some magical skill on the one regular troll female Merg only laughs and demands some cunning act be done in his name, The waves listen and respond giving imparting a portion of their power to Greedy Guts. Two Swamp trolls adventure out late at night to investigate the human settlement it's large the center is walled off with stone and it's back is protected by a mountain with farm lands being outside the city the two trolls are able to see the random going ons of the humans without being spotted and notice a small skirmish take place between some guards and a bear the guards are able to kill the bear and continue patrolling the two trolls lug the bear carcass back with them as a prize and as food hoping to impress the females. +4 food

The Cave trolls expand the shelter rapidly as if they were powered by The stunted ones cunning and intelligence for building they quickl make enough space in the cave for more trolls as all seven fit in comfortably. Sligo a cave troll idly paws towards the end of the cave quickly gaining the interest of the other trolls as they all quickly pick up on a familiar scent they dig through easily enough of an entire section of rock and dirt to find a deep unlight cavern underneath the cave they quickly explore it finding evidence of sentient creatures having been here though they can't tell what kind of creatures.

The axe trolls bash aside any opposition from their opponents savaging those not strong enough to face them. Durrak is impressed as he smashes the heads in of two recruits. Lucky all survive the bloody training for the better. Two cave trolls are sent down to the cave with Durrak and three of his so called best warriors they explore the cave and find paintings dedicated to webs and spiders and other such things throughout the cavern Sliog finds a pickaxe and declares himself leader of the cave trolls. Durrak demeans him a fool as they approach a stone door with what looks to be a representation of a half spider half humanoid figure this leaves the Trolls confused as to what to do with the door as it seems important Durrak wishes to smash it, Sliog wishes to mine around it and construct the first troll tower shield. Rangi The follower of Varia starts tending to a local blueberry bushes that are near the cave towards the east she does so bringing back some seeds planting them outside to the left of the cave she also brings back a few berries for her kin. +1food

Under the true leadership of Gritchak the Sun Hater the cave trolls are able to make one chest piece of leather armor out of the bear pelt. Durrak the Maw takes it. Gorrfakk the Sun-Doubter stares into the burning ball and roars in frustration as it offers him no comfort but he can hear the raging drums of Torg's war drum. Drekjut a swamp troll hunts with his brother Greedy guts to sparse pickings in the lake as his berates his brother for his stupid show of power that might have depleted the lake but they still find some food. Durrak's second in command Wyt the Half-head slowly beings to heal from his wounds. Rangi waits by the door hearing footsteps approach near it but never directly towards the door. The swamp trolls sent to scout the human settlement have more difficulty getting around early morning patrols of guards as they're on high alert looking for a creature capable of stealing a bear carcass as they hear one guard grumble over his loss of a possible mating session with a female due to his luck of killing the bear and living to tell about it. They return late in the afternoon with no more information except they might have seen short people

Gathering and hunting goes well though the swamp trolls are told to stay behind as Durrak and his warriors go out and start stirring up trouble with the local bears as they fight them and have the recruits do most if not all the heavy lifting still they're learning slowly. Gritchak can hear Merg's whispers and is able to unleash a cloak of shadow around himself but it doesn't last very long. +2 food

Ragnia sits by the door and is quickly greeted with the approach of darkened humanoid that has pointed ears she calls herself Matron Kelith as she speaks to Ragnia she informs of her of how the humans are all fire loving magic users and are part of the reason as to why there are fewer trolls in the world. The remaining warriors being training at dawn and are drilled till they're weary they're now a proper force of trolls thanks to Durrak. Wyt and Gritchak take to the surface in order to aid the swamp trolls sent to stalk the little people they find that these creatures live in vast mountain holds that belch unnatural smoke that tastes of foulness and unnatural elements.

The Swamp trolls are able to figure out when it would be best to spring the raid they figure nightfall and being taking up supplies and warriors to the ambush point that is half way between humans and short mountain people lands. The swamp trolls release their stink as a lure bringing a few of the stunties close to the 16 hungry troll warriors. As soon as their within arms length the trolls tear into the dwarves sundering armor with strength, spear and axe alone they feast well tonight on the bodies of their enemies who have more meat than your average lamb, They loot the wagon the dwarves were using killing the horses and taking their hides and meat they search the crates and find metal warhammers and even some pieces of metal armor. Gritchak gathers all the remaining trolls as he beings his invocation to the gods Four booming voices are heard they say these pointy ears will lead to a great war Torg is pleased by it. Varia cautions that while it may lead to a human free land there is much at risk. The waves respond and bestow a gift upon the swamp trolls they can bleech acidic bile. Merg congratulates his followers on leading the tribe so well but also chuckles as he is vague on the pointy ears intentions but does at least say they're worth our trust. An alliance is struck the Matron Kaleith calls her race the drow and assures Durrak and our other named heroes this will be best descision they've made

You uneducated mongols dare call yourselves trolls? When was the last time any of you carried out our ancient venerable tradition? Our primordial preoperative that is Troll Toll?

Greedy Guts is sent to stand under the bridge and gather shiny objects from creatures crossing the bridge, he's told if they don't pay then kill them and eat them if he wants. Greedy Guts waits till he hears the sound of horses trotting on by as he roars out "PAY TROLL TOLL" the person is immediately frightened and quickly gallops away with his horse Greedy looks ontop of the bridge to see three filled to the brim bags of shiny coin Greedy stuffs them in his mouth and swims home to the cave. The cave trolls nearly weep at the sight of a forge as they set it up in the cavern leading to the Drow settlement their passion for creation takes over them again as they rapidly and perfectly build the forge they now only need raw material. The warriors are outfitted with five steel maces five iron armor suits and 5 shields the one Dwarven long hammer is taken by Durrak and so is a suit of armor. Matron Kaelith asks that assault the dwarves more often and try to find their source of water as she wishes to be rid of their drunken songs as soon as possible.

The swamp trolls guide the warriors up the mountain but are met with the guns of vengeful dwarves as they unload two over eager troll fighters charge their lines only to be set aflame by a dwarven warrior that looks to be holding the head of a metal dragon. The construction of the shrine is slow as many are more worried about the warriors and their journey very little progress made on the actual shrines. Ragnia is also worried for her kinsmen safety and is struck by a terrible feeling that causes her to tear out in anger against the blue berry bush ripping it apart but not entirely before she is mournful of the loss of two of her kin
