It's been a long day, you drank some super poison, watched the kids, and now you've got a big green slug man in your bedroom.

"We need to talk." Piccolo grunts. "It's about Planet Namek."

You inhale..... exhale.....

"Does everyone just think that my bedroom is free to visit?" You ask, yawning loudly. "First Towa, now you're annoying me when I need to get some sleep."

Piccolo's scowl deepens. "Very cute." He retorts, "But this is serious." He tosses a small device to you, a little screen giving a readout of the solar system. "This thing is supposed to scout outer space for electrical signals. Dr Gero built it after Cooler and his men almost blew the planet up."

You look closer, but nothing seems out of hand, enormous signals coming from Earth, Mars, and Namek. "And?"

Piccolo rolls his eyes, "That thing where Planet Namek is. Dr Gero never registered the new planet on the device, he was dead by the time it moved. And, according to what I've.... picked up, they don't use electricity that much."

Meaning he's been eavesdropping on the other Namekians. "So, what's all this supposed to mean?" You ask.

Piccolo shakes his head, "No idea, but I already tried to raise them on your ships communications. No response." He used your comms? Without even asking too, what a prick. "Whatever it is, I want you and the other Super Saiyans to come check it out with me." He finally grumbles out, clearly irked about asking for help.

With Raditz gone, that's just you, Teito and Gohan, and the boy has no proper control over it yet.

You pause to think a moment, "I'll help, but I'm making a few changes to my team."

Piccolo scowls, but turns on his heel. "Very well, I'll be on the ship." He announces, slipping himself off the balcony.

Picking up your scouter, you call together a small crew, if this thing's electronic, you want some tech-heads on your side, so Tore and her crew are quickly invited on board, before you call in some heavy hitters, namely Kuriza and Gohan.

While you wait for them to arrive, you float down to the lab, interrupting Bulma and her nerd squads work.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I've got something important that I need help with." You greet them, looking around at the group, Bulma, her dad, a tall man with a purple afro, Arale and her 'father' a squat man with dark hair, who rapidly increases in height and handsomeness as he spots you.

"How can we help you, gorgeous?" He asks with a wink, slowly inhaling from a cigarette.

Bulma makes a noise of disgust, clobbering him over the head, before standing from her computer. "What's the matter now?"
>>
You put the scanner down, explaining Piccolo's finding quickly, while the kids touch down outside the lab.

When you're done, Dr Briefs snaps his fingers, handing a small device to you. "Just plug that into the comms, and we'll be able to get a good idea of what's happening. Course, I can't promise we'll be any more effective than a chinaman in a road test, but we'll do what we can."

The hell is china? Oh well, he's helping.

A message pings to your scouter as you board the ship, Tore and her crew have already taken off for Namek, with Krillin in tow as their muscle... While you like the guy, if Piccolo's scared, that might not be the best idea.

Still, you slot the monitor into the comms, and the ship bursts upwards, into space. Flight should only take a few minutes at most.

Turning from the flight computer, you find Piccolo staring out the window. "Time to put Slug's theory to the test. Let's see if I can finally go home." He mutters to himself. "Of course, if I can't, if their dragon keeps me from coming near their surface, then you're really in trouble. Slug might be dead, but he's still a part of me." He lets out a low laugh. "Then again, as an cyborg, there's little to stop me floating above the planet."

The trip won't take much longer...

You shoot Gohan a look, waving him over. He hurries forwards as you squat down with the kid. "Yes Kabu?"

You tap his head, "Remember what I said about you needing pointers on controlling your power? Well, guess what? We're heading somewhere dangerous, so let's see what you can do."

"I haven't been able to do it since that Cell thing got Dad... but I'll give it my best go." He lowers his stance, flexing a little, as his energy starts to swell around him, letting out a grunt of exertion, before a nearby box suddenly bursts open, Arale popping up from within, with a loud "SUPRISE!"

Gohan loses his focus, staggering away, as every examines the stowaway, giggling to herself. "Deal with it later." You sigh, before setting Gohan back to attention.

Piccolo joins you in watching over the boy, Gohan's blue aura flaring around him, as he grits his teeth, pushing himself harder and harder, despite the fact that he clearly has no idea how to actually do it.

"Come on Gohan, you can do it dude!" Kuriza cheers him on.

You lean forward, coaxing him on. "Come on Gohan! You have to let your anger out! Tap into your Saiyan blood and do it!"

He hunches over his hair shimmering between black and golden, as Kuriza and Arale both takes steps backwards.

Just as Gohan lets out a primal roar, golden energy flowing off of him, crumpling a few metallic instruments, Piccolo rushes forwards, a fist crashing into the top of his head, knocking the boy to the floor.

Gohan goes down, screaming in pain, his hair back to black again, as you grab Piccolo, hauling him backwards and slamming him against a wall. "The hell was that?" You snarl in his face.

His fist closes around your wrist, grip strong enough to break bones if he tried, tugging you off of him. "You saw he could do it." He growls. "If he'd kept going like that, the ship wouldn't have survived, and neither would any of you."

He throws your hands off of him, shunting you back across the floor as he folds his arms. "You're welcome." He grumps.

A feminine laugh rings through the cabin, with the clapping of hands. "Oh, now isn't this just tense?" Towa smirks, everyone rounding to face her. "Piccolo, good to see you. It's been a while, now hasn't it?"

"Five years since you pointed that old slug in my direction." Piccolo sighs. "If you want to know the reason you lost your tail for a solid year, you're looking at her."

"You were behind that?" You demand, glancing over at Towa.

"I'm behind a lot of things Kabuya dear." She smirks, dodging aside as Kuriza tries to swipe her with his tail, grabbing the limb and squeezing, another howl of pain echoing through the cabin as Towa smiles, before letting him go. "But, I assure you, what you're walking into, has simply nothing to do with me." She leans forward, resting her chin on a fist. "Think of this as more a repurcussion, for a job half done." She smiles, "And don't forget to hold back if something makes you ticked off." She adds with a coy smile.

You step closer, clenching your fists, "Alright, what do you know? Spill it!"

Towa simply smiles in your face, before pointing to Kuriza. "Tell me child, do you miss your family?" He shakes his head from side to side, cautiously. "Well, that's a shame, because you're about to meet up with some." She sits up straighter on her staff and gives a wave. "That's all for now then.Ta-ta!"

You look to the boy, who's trying to count on his fingers. "Grandpa is dead, and so is Uncle Cooler. Cousin Aish was killed, and Princess Dad's dead..." He seems confused. "I don't think I have any relatives left?" He mutters aloud.

The ship jerks as it decelerates, cresting around Jupiter, the green planet comes into view and- what the hell is that?

Arale's drop literally drops off, clattering as she chases it across the floor, while the rest of you take the sight in, before Piccolo steps up to the controls, "I'm taking us down for a landing. If there are any Namekians left, I don't want them dying."

The ship drops lower into orbit, the giant metallic.... thing draped over half the planet pulsing weirdly.

Almost reminds you of the Tree of Might... only made of metal. "I don't like this." Piccolo mutters, as the ship touches down, exit ramp extending. Piccolo takes great care to avoid actually touching the ground, floating an inch above it at all times.

From what you remember, there's a Namekian village not too far from here, the one where Tsuno and Moori settled.

You sense out for your friends energy, still at the village by the feel of it, you nod for the others to follow.

Soaring over the planetside, you see that the recently restored trees are already withering, along with the waves of blue grass, as the machine continues to pulse.

You can sense Tore's ship, moving to land closer to the village, touching down as their ship lands they wave once on the ground, as Moori, Tsuno and Cargo come running from their home, sweat trailing down the Namekian leaders forehead.

"Kabuya!" Tsuno cries by way of greeting. "This... thing, it simply landed in the night. We tried to contact you, but our calls are jammed going outwards." He gestures backwards, "We were just preparing to summon Porunga, to try and banish this creature. It would require all three of our magical reserves to prepare the dragon for summoning so soon, but between the three of us we can do it." He nods to himself. "It may cost our lives to recharge them this soon, but I'm willing to risk it to save Namek."

Cargo brushes his foot through the now browning grass, as Tore and her crew wave some weird looking instruments around.

>Porunga is a good idea, let's get rid of this thing.

You lay a hand to his shoulder, shaking your head, "For all we know, this could be a plot to make you panic. Could be someone wants those balls ready now."

Tsuno stares you hard in the eye, before nodding slowly. "Very well." He takes a few calming breaths, before he notices Piccolo. "Oh, hello brother, I don't believe I know your face? Although... you look familiar."

Piccolo shrugs mutely, glaring at the nearest tendril. Seems he's not much for family reunions.

"Right then. Tore, what are you guys getting? Any info on this thing?" You ask.

Her troops confer with her for a moment, "We reckin." She drawls out, "That it's some form of advanced Bio-metal. Possibly related to the Machine Mutants, traces of what looks like... advanced Tuffle technology in places.

She twirls on the spot, jabbing a finger northward. "Electrical pulses all leading to a central point, near tha north pole!" She announces, before the tall blue nudges her.

'Hey, boss? What about all these smaller signals we're picking up?" He hisses in a reptillian voice.

She rubs her chin, as Krillin steps up beside her. "Reckon it might be guards?" He asks. "Big evil things that float through space always seem to end up having a team of weird guards with them." He points out.

He does have a point.

Tore shrugs, "Couldn't tell you. But... I think, if ye can get to the core, and do some damage to the components there, it should stop this thing from doing any more damage to the planet."

The big purple one steps forward now, "Captain? There are multiple electrical signals advancing on our position. Orders?"

Tore scratches her chin. "Prep the EMP blaster on the ship. See what it does to these bastards. If it does nothing, protect the Namekians with your lives. Those Dragon Balls are important, understood?" The four snap a salute to the short Brench, before hurrying to work.

"What about you monkey chick?" Tore asks, whipping around, arm resting on Krillin's head.

So, if Frieza's head was in orbit around Namek, or if its orbit decayed and fell back onto the planet it would teleport with Namek when Namek moved. You give her a nod. "I'm gonna go smash that core." You give her a nod. "Catch you soon, alright."

Krillin and Tore nod as you take to the air, Arale having disappeared somewhere in the brief time you were talking. Krillin promises to look for her, jetting off, while Piccolo, Gohan and Kuriza follow, hot on your heels.

You float atop one of the tendrils, following it northwards. Machine Mutant AND Tuffle tech? Whatever this thing is, it's probably not going to be too friendly, given your last run in with Tuffle technology.

You fly low over the tendril peering around for any entrances, when one opens below, a greenish sliver blur speeding out of it, head slamming into Piccolo's gut, knocking the cyborg high into the air with a pained grunt.

You glance back down at the assailant, currently busy chuckling to himself.

"Well, well, well." He laughs slowly. "Now, isn't this a familiar sight?" Frieza laughs, his body taller and more powerful looking, gleaming silvery green in the sunlight. "Come now monkey." He slaps an open palm to his chest. "Break yourself against the unspeakable power, of Metal Frieza! And this time I took out your dirty Namekian friend first. No more relying on his pitiful power level to keep you alive now."

Behind him, unnoticed, Kuriza has frozen to the spot, eyes wide, while Gohan prepares to attack.

You stare down the tyrant, "That's just the thing Frieza. I'm not the same Saiyan I was before." You feel that kick in the pit of your stomach, your aura flaring up, golden and shimmering as your power soars. "Since then, I've become what you fear most. I'm a Super Saiyan now."

Frieza seems genuinely shocked by that. "Oh? Well excuse me if your chimping out has failed to impress me." His tail whipping towards your face.

You catch it on your arm, but the force of the blow knocks you backwards, feet scraping along the metallic exterior of the tendril as you come to a halt.

He's strong. Much stronger than the first time you fought him. But... that blow didn't hurt at all.

You grin to yourself, as Frieza looks over his shoulder finally, Gohan's hair shifting to blonde with another angry yell. "Oh how cute, you had a little son." Frieza muses, before he finally catches sight of Kuriza. "S-son? What are you doing here? Why are you with these filthy monkeys?"

The boy shakes his head, taking a step backwards. "Dad... don't fight us. Please." He whimpers. "I don't want to see another member of our family die again."

Frieza chuckles, reaching out to touch the boys head, only for the red domed Arcosian to flinch away, batting the hand aside. "Trust me dear boy, these monkeys aren't going to kill me." He laughs. "They can try, but it'll take more than two upstart simians to kill the mighty Frieza."

Kuriza just shakes his head. "No DAD! You can't! You just can't!"

Frieza backs away, turning to face you, eyebrows raising. "You." He spits the word, "Tell me monkey, what did you do to poison my son against me?" A finger extends, pointing at your chest.

You glower at him, "You want to know what I did? I spared his life and showed him what was probably the first shred of decency since he was born." You flex, deflecting the Death Beam Frieza blasts at you with ease. "I taught him to be a good person, unlike the rest of his family."

Frieza's face scrunches in rage, but he keeps his voice controlled. "Monkey, tell me something. Would you say this... Earth you've been living on is your new home?"

You glance skywards, the small blue orb slightly visible from this far north.

"Why?" You ask back.

He merely laughs in his throat. "No reason." He snaps back to his son, "Now, Kuriza, come to daddy, and I'll show how not to be a pathetic weakling like these Saiyans." He holds his shiny metallic hand out. "Together, with the Big Gete Star, we can rule this galaxy as father and so-"

Piccolo slams into him, driving his foot into Frieza's skull, shearing the metallic head clean off, before he drops back down onto the limb of this 'star'.

"That's for keeping the green man down." Piccolo growls, dusting his hands off, as Kuriza slumps to his knees, letting out a wail of despair as his fathers' body collapses, grabbing at the sparking head.

"DAD!" He screams, "NO! WAKE UP! DADDY!"

You can hear more metallic whirring now, along with an ominous rumbling. "Piccolo, the hell did you do?" You ask him, receiving only a shrug in return, before an enormous wall of identical bodies swarm out of the tendril blotting out the entire sky, between your group and the north pole.

"Kill me once, shame on you, kill me twice, shame on me!" One Frieza declares, as Gohan hurries up beside you and the Namekian. "It seems you really do have the advantage in power here. But I have the numbers! NOW DIE!"

A volley of Death Beams swarm towards your group, as the countless Frieza's stretch in every direction, blocking your way forward.

"Alright, Piccolo, you go for the thousand on the left, Gohan, you're on the right... I'm going right down the middle. Go!"

The three of you scatter, Piccolo and Gohan heading left and right respectively, while you throw yourself forwards, driving right through the centre of the beams, batting them aside as you slam into the wall of Friezas.

You bash and blast your way through, unleashing a Kaged Beast as the Frieza's attempt to cling to you, before pushing yourself onwards, ignoring the hail of blows they throw at you.

They're piled up thick and densely, each one throwing blows, punches slamming into your back, tails slapping off your thigh, kicks smashing into your skull, yet all the same you push through.

You see a glimmer of daylight after clawing your way through them for Kais know how long, throwing your ki into your fist, you unleash a bear claw, the explosion blowing a hole clear through the remainder, you puncture through the wall, kicking off stragglers that try to cling yo you.

Free of the Frieza's, you blast off northwards, alone now, with a good hundred copies of Frieza in hot pursuit.

You weave back and forth, dodging blasts they throw your way, responding fire, you knock more down.

But for each Frieza you send down in a flaming wreck, two more emerge from holes in the Big Gete Star, while the tendrils sucking the life from the planet start to converge.

"No! You damn dirty monkey, you stay away from that damn core!" One of them screeches, as more try to swarm to stop you.
>>
Ha! Found it. The tendrils all lead into one gigantic mass, a spherical chamber, which you shortly blast open grinning to yourself as you rush in.

The inside is dim, until you blast a wall, a fire springing up to light the innards of the room.

The room is filled with complicated machinery, but at the centre is what captures your attention. The head of Frieza, or the half that was left by the time you were done with him, is held aloft by a series of wires, glaring at you with pure unbridled hatred.

"Monkey, I wouldn't be too rash now." He warns. "You certainly wouldn't want to repeat your actions from last time."

You look about, examining all the wires and tubes, getting a wicked idea in your head.

"Alright, then I won't do that." You tell him. "But I've got a better idea."

You zip forward, pulling two tubes as thick as your legs loose and swapping their plugs, before dashing to a series of wires, hands blurring as you mess with the flow of electricity, shrugging off the sparks that fly off you.

You've spent enough time lounging around in Bulma's lab to guess how half this stuff works, sort of, not to mention helping Teito with her work over the years.

Frieza on the other hand, is incredibly pissed off by your actions. "You lousy, good for nothing- oh that is it! Activating the Earth Annihilation Sequence! I've rigged planet busting explosives all over the Earth! Say goodbye to your homeworld all over again monkey!"

Something cold grips your heart, chilling your blood, "He wouldn't." You mutter, as he lets out an insane laugh.

You whip around, staring up at the faint blue outline of Earth, before a mechanical voice growls through the room. "Error, Big Gete Self Destruct Sequence activated. Please evacuate premises."

"Wh-what?" Frieza shrieks, "NO! NO! YOU CAN'T! I WAS GOING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING I WAS GOING TO RULE EVERYTHING, YOU CAN'T!"

You did it? Just by messing with these wires?

You really need to thank Bulma when you get back...

Glancing over at Frieza, his head is struggling to break loose of the wires, snarling with pure animal fury, as a metal wall behind him retracts, exposing what looks like a computer chip behind him, dozens of thin wires running off of it.

>Kill Frieza yourself, you're not trusting this self destuct

You dash past Frieza, snatching the computer chip from the grasp of the wires, a powerful sting running up your arm as the electricity running into it discharges.

Your skin smoking, your wring it out, grinning at Frieza as you retreat. "Rot in HFIL, you crazy bastard." You laugh, pulling up out of the core room, you call to the others, telling them to get as far as possible.

You fly over thousands of Frieza's metallic bodies as you fly south, the central room detonating with enough force to shake the planet, before the explosions divert, running down each limb, exploding each one in a shower of metal and flame.

By the time you make it back to the village, Gohan is hugging Kuriza around the shoulders, but the Arcosian boy seems... relatively at peace with himself, while Piccolo is just staring out over the horizon, feet still not touching the ground beneath him.

Before you can talk to him, you assure the Namekians everything is okay, staring out over a field of mangled robot bodies, half of them unmarred physically, while a few that slipped past the EMP were dealt with by Krillin and Tore.

"Little bald feller ain't bad in a pinch." Tore admits rubbing Krillin's waxed dome, the bald man letting out a nervous chuckle under the praise, while Tore's crew patch up some repairs on Frieza's old flagship.

"Hey Tsuno, you need a hand cleaning the planet up before we go?" You offer.

He smiles wide at the offer, but shakes his head. "No thank you, but I appreciate the offer." He lays a hand over yours, a warm energy flowing through his palm, easing the slight bruises the Frieza's put on you. "I can sense your exhaustion, you've had a long day. Go home and see your family already."

"That sounds pretty good right about now actually." You admit, rounding everyone up and heading back for the ship.

Arale is already in the pilot seat, shooting you a thumbs up, before you pull her loose. "I beat up like a bajillion Freezies!" She claims proudly. "Senbei's gonna be so proud of me!"

She scurries off into the back of the ship, and you set the return flight, before nudging the young Arcosian. "You doing alright buddy?"

He nods calmly. "I am. Seeing him... how he talked to you, and Mr Piccolo told me that he was going to blow up Earth, just to torture you... my father was a monster." He nods to himself. "He was almost about to kill Mr Piccolo, but I stepped in his way. There were so many Princess Dad's... But I finally got my third form under control, and I fought them off until you shut them all down."

You rub his head affectionately, "Glad to hear it kiddo. You were very brave standing up to him."

A few tears pool under his eyes. "And... I was thinking. Wou- I know it's probably not polite to ask... but, you seem more fit for the title- and I was thinking-" He holds his breath for a moment, steadying himself. "Would it be okay if I... called you mom?" He asks. "I- not that I want to live with you guys or anything, it's just..."

You glance over at Gohan for a half second. Deja vu.

You lean down and press a kiss against his cold headplate for a moment, shooting him a smirk. "Sure thing kid."

He rubs at the spot, smiling with embarrassment. "Thank you." He finally replies in a small voice, brushing away his tears. "I won't disappoint you."

You give him a wink, as the ship slips out of hyperspeed, touching down on the lawn. "I'm sure, now if you don't mind, I'm dying to get some sleep, alright?"

He nods, scurrying off the ship and taking off home, clearly embarrassed over asking in the first place. Gohan laughs softly as he goes, before Piccolo bumps the boy out of the way, already taking off to where ever the hell it is he goes.

Jokes on him, he left the electrical tracker with you, combine that with the android tracker and you can pin him down.

Norimaki runs forwards, looking more blobby than before as he scoops Arale up. "Arale! That was very naughty." He scolds her, "What did I tell you about going to space?"

She rolls her eyes, "Only when my homeworks done." She sighs dramatically, sagging in his arms.

Bulma slips through the other scientists, wrapping an arm around your waist. "You look like you can barely stand." She comments.

"I feel it too." You mutter, nuzzling your chin against her for a moment. "But first, I wanna thank you for being a huge nerd."

"Oh?" She asks, hauling you into the house. "Why's that, we couldn't even provide backup. All we did was scan some data from the fight."

You shrug it off, don't want to worry her this late. "No reason... just glad to have a science babe like you."

She laughs at your half awake rambling, depositing you in bed. You half fumble the computer chip from the star into her hands, mumbling something about her needing it, before curling up to sleep.

Bulma's gone when you wake, whether she's up really late or really early, you're not sure, but you take the liberty of cooking her something yourself.
>>
Frying up a few sides of bacon, you fetch Bra, setting her down to play in the yard while you cook, ignoring the spitting of the fat, salivating over the scent as you crush some salt over the food.

You're missing something.... Eggs, right.

You open the fridge, bend down to pull them out, the familiar blue face pouting at you as you stand again.

You turn your back on her, walking back to the pan and cracking a few dozen into a spare pan.

"You know, you'll never reach your true potential if you continue to outsmart everyone." Towa sighs. "Strength comes from pain, rule number one of your race." She clucks her tongue, "That's a lesson from the first Super Saiyan, did you know that? He told me so himself."

You actually didn't know that's where it came from, but you're not going to admit that, flipping the bacon, you whistle to yourself.

Towa huffs, continuing in your silence, "Only problem is, the rest of your thick skulled ancestors only understood that as physical pain." She rolls her eyes, "When the true road lies in hurting the heart of a Saiyan. That's why you transformed when your friend died." She crosses her legs over each other, nose twitching as you crush some garlic into the pan. "Do you have any idea what kinda of power you'd be holding right now, if this planet had gone up in smoke? It'd be tremendous. You'd rival not just the Kais, but the Supreme Kai himself!"

You cast an eye at her. "You hungry? You seem crabbier than usual."

She tilts her nose up, "I don't eat Earthling's food, I find it rather tasteless."

You slip some bacon onto a plate, sliding it down the counter towards her. "You sure? This bacon stuff is rrrrreally good?"

She rocks her jaw back and forth a few moments, before sighing, plucking a strip from her plate and biting it gingerly.

"Oh!" Her eyes widen, and she brings a hand up to her mouth. "That's... surprisingly good." She chows down on the rest.

You stir the eggs around a little, calling Bra in to bring breakfast to Bulma. She skips past, waving at Towa casually, the demon scowling at her lack of presence in the house.

"I already saw my home explode once Towa, that didn't turn me into the strongest thing in the universe. Why would it this time?" You ask, rolling your eyes as she goes back to her knowing smile.

"Because Kabuya, when you were a child, you were below the raw threshold to transform. A weak child couldn't handle becoming a Super Saiyan. There hearts would give out from the stress."

Shows what she knows, Bra almost did it over a tantrum once. "Either way, if you're so set against me, enough to bring down Lord Slug to kick my ass, why are you so intent on making me stronger?"

She smirks, biting into another strip of her bacon, "Ah, now that would be telling, now wouldn't it?" She climbs down from her staff for once, leaning against the counter. "Though, regardless of what you might think, I can't say I hate you Kabuya. You shake things up in amusing ways. If you weren't so dead set on this protector of the Earth job, I'd have half a mind to recruit you to my side."

You pull Bra's breakfast off, just as the girl skips in again, laying out a half rack of bacon on a platter for her, she runs off to the garden to eat it without staining anything.

"Seriously though, could you just drop this mystery act for once and tell me what it is you're up too?" You ask.

Her eyebrows raise, "Why? Because I can, I'm the smartest being in existence, and one day, I'll rule all possible realities. The only ones who can stand in my way is another version of myself, breaking through to deal with me." She snaps her fingers, calling up her little pocket watch and flicking it open. "Mira will protect me from any of them however." She points a finger protection in your direction, "But for Mira to become stronger, I need strong samples for him. Between us, we'll have the mightiest warrior and the smartest mind in all possible existences."
>>
You think you drifted off a little in the middle of that speech. "That's nice. Though you know that's almost exactly what Frieza thought, right?" You put on an imitation of the tyrant "'I'm the strongest in the galaxy, I'll rule with an iron fist and no one will stop me'!"

Towa scowls at the comparison, but shakes her head, as you continue on, "Although, depending on the work, and the pay, I might not be entirely opposed to an odd job from you."

She smirks, "An 'odd job'? Is that what the mortals are calling them these days?" Did she just make the joke back at you?

Towa rocks her jaw back and forth again, considering... "Could always send you... no... hmmm... Perhaps." She straightens, dusting her hands off. "I'll think about it. Bye for now."

With a clap of her hands, she's gone, just in time for Bulma to walk in, thanking you for her dinner, bags under her eyes. "What'd Towa want?" She asks. "Other than to steal my time with you?"

First, her advice seems to include killing everyone we care about for power and she wants to destroy Earth.

If there's a way to figure out what she wants and stop it if it's an arsehole move, I'm fine with it, but I don't think Kabu is going to work with her, based on her previous choices.

You shrug, "Job offer. You mind if I go on some space raids or whatever, every so often?"

She considers it a moment, eyes searching the roof... "Well... as long as you're not doing anything to evil, alright? Only kill the space jackasses that deserve it? If they're like, peaceful space monks, you'd leave them alone, deal?"

You consider it. You HAVE kind of lost your taste for cold blooded murder in the last few years, so far as you can tell. "Deal." You lean forward and peck her on the nose, "Other than that, just the usual. Hitting on me like crazy. Her robot husband must be disappointing her."

Bulma snickers at that, "Y'know, a few years ago... I'd probably lose my mind over that. But... I trust you. Besides, she can't give you cool stuff like this little slice of gold I dug up."

She pushes a notepad into your hand, "Star co-ordinates." You comment, "But where are they from? And where do they lead?"

Bulma winks, "Oooh, that's all part of my secret plan, foolish mortal, you'll have to work harder to get them out of me." You draw her in close, tickling at a sensitive spot on her ribs, earning a few squeals before she's begging for mercy. "Alright, alright... I dug them up from that chip you gave me. Every bit of data in Frieza's brain was backed up in there, including..." She brushes her finger against the notepad, "The location of one planet Saiya." She grins, "Homeworld to 'the filthy monkeys'. He would have gone to blow it up, if it was in his territory. Thankfully, it wasn't, too close to some race of cat people that scared him off." She cosies up against you, "Let's see that demon skank top that, huh?"

You can feel a list mist choking up behind your eyes. "Thank you... You want to come with me, when I visit?"

She breaks out in a smile, "Sure, since I didn't get to meet my mother in law." She flicks your arm playfully, "Thanks for that. But before we go, I want to clear all my projects off my desk. That means deal with the androids, look into those guys chasing Tarble, finish Bra's present AND take a closer look at this chip to see if we can get anything out of it, on top of increasing the storage space of capsules, I'm nearly on the verge of increasing carrying capacity by eighty percent."

"That's a heavy workload." You mutter, massaging her temples gently.

She nods, "You keep me busy dear." She knocks her knuckles against the side of her head, "But I love it."

"Love it you may, but you need to sleep every once in a while." You acknowledge. "You're gorgeous, but you look like hell. Get some sleep, alright?"

She nods, before going limp, snoring as she stands. You snicker a little, before easing her down on the couch, draping a blanket over her.

Why not check on Mark, dude seems to be genuinely trying out there after all.

A short flight later, you track him down, scouter clipped on, you find him sleeping on a bed of leaves, about another half day's run from the tower itself.

His beer gut's gone after his trek, and he looks a little leaner, as you cough loud enough to wake him.

He jumps himself awake, reaching for a sharpened stick. "Who's there?" He demands, before hurriedly dropping the weapon when he sees you. "Oh, s'you."

He seems jumpy, "I'm not here to hurt you Mark, just checking up on you." You seat yourself on a faller log, "How're things? You and Nappa patch things up?"

He shrugs, "I guess. He said I could have a cameo in his movie or something, if I get back before they wrap." He moves to sit upright, "H-how're Miguel, and my little girl? D-do they still hate me?"

You roll your tongue in your mouth, picking your words carefully. "Miguel understands that you're improving yourself out here.... as for Videl... well, I took her in as my apprentice, but she doesn't really talk about you much. Still seems kind of angry about the whole mugging thing."

He sighs, hanging his head, "I was a failure." He groans. "I... I ignored them. I was a deadbeat washup, and when my family needed me, I hit the hooch." He stares at his hand, "I might've even hit my wife. Hell if I can remember."

You shake your head, "She hasn't mentioned it once. And she doesn't seem the type to let go of that sort of thing easily." Hercule chuckles, drinking from a rough water skin, before you clue him into the big news. "Your wife's condition is improving." You tell him.
>>
He looks up, a twinkle in his eye. "Y-you really mean it? You're not just torturing me fer a laugh?"

You shake your head, "Capsule Corp has... a lot of resources to hand. Whatever it was your wife had, it seems she's on the mend. She's been putting on weight, her skin looks better, and she laughs when she comes over. She's like a different woman."

Mark just straight up starts crying, hurling himself at your feet, he hugs around your ankles, blubbering into the dirt. "Th-thank you!" He bellows, "You saved my precious angel's li-hi-hiiiife."

You let him sob himself out, just a bit longer. Judging by how tattered his clothes are, he's been having a rough week.

Finally, he picks himself back up, wiping at the dirt on his face. "You know, this is the part where you have to prove you're worthy of her, right?"

He nods, "I do, I'm gonna be the type of man she'll be proud to marry. I ain't no washed up hasbeen, I'm THE Mark Satan!" He thumps a fist off his chest, bravado flooding into him.

You feel a little pride in yourself, for patching him up so much, "I appreciate that you're taking this so seriously Mark. You're putting a real effort in. I'll put in a good with Videl for you, alright?"

He nods, pushing himself to his feet, glaring up at the tower. "Alright you sonvabitch! I, the mighty Satan, am gonna conquer you, to make my family proud!"

He lets out a war cry, barrelling off into the trees, making a beeline for the tower.

Guy's a goof, and a bit of a peacock, but his heart's in the right place.

Speaking of kids though, you really should figure out what you're getting Bra for her birthday. Only five days to go now, then she's off to school in a month or two.

Oh, you know what to get her.

Stopping by a crafts store on the way home, you pick up a shitload of yarn in a soft blue, trying to match it to her hair, before making your way home.

You make sure to complete it carefully, tucking yourself away with Bulma in the lab, lulled in the comforting quiet time, the soft clack of her keyboard, the slow loop of your needles.

"Hey, Bulma?" You mention halfway through the torso. She 'hmms?' in response, still pouring over the schematics for Gero's androids. "I'm glad I met you." She smiles and nods in silent appreciation. "Thanks Kabuya, I'm glad I met you too." You fill in, earning a smirk and a wink. You continue, "Your the most beautiful, strong, amazing woman I've ever met, and that thing you do with your tail is-"

She shushes you, "Dad's in the next room over." She warns, "That can come later tonight."

"And so can you." You reply. She groans, palming her face, but can't hide her smile. "If I tell you what I'm making for Bra, will you shut up?"

You concede, taking your work with you, knitting in a tail sleeve that can curl up to the waist.

Bulma leads you to a back room, pointing to something about your size, draped in a blanket, before whipping it off, with a "Tada! With a little know how from Dr Gero, we've got the worlds first automatic, artificially intelligent playmate."

"Hello Miss Bulma." The robot greets, bowing it's pot shaped body. "Mistress Kabuya." It swivels back to the scientist. "Is Bra ready to play?" It asks.

Bulma shakes her head, "Just a few more days Boto, reckon you can wait, or do you want to go into sleep mode?"

"Sleep mode, would be preferable." It replies, giving a low hum, as it shuts down.

Bulma winks, drawing the blanket back over it. "Now you see why I've been so busy, huh?"

You watch her swagger out, wondering where she finds the time, when a ping alerts your scouter.

"Kabu?" Risel's voice comes through. "We've cleared our name, we're coming home."

Goku is scared of his inner rage. We aren't. I wouldn't say we're truly comfortable with ourselves yet, but that little vision Baba Yaga sent us on clear some things up. Because Kabuya's outlook, she can fight more intelligently, but is less pure due to her experiences and outlook on life.

In short, Kabuya wont fail in this situation because she's mid-thirty and has lived through the school of hard knocks. She knows what people will face and knows how to confront it.
