>Gather the crippled possessed warrior and make the medically adept techpriests and war-medics of the Nox-Vox study it.
>Try to reverse engineer the Necron weapons, make them work with you and your army.

Lying on the floor rested the lifeless body of what once was your friend and fellow companion Nathaniella. In some way her corpse wasn’t completely hers, she had been transformed by the Necrons into a parody of what she once was; her body was twisted and altered into a barely recognizable form that while human in form and shape radiated a disgusting alien aura.

You weren’t exactly sure of what to do with those bodies, they were former loyal humans but now they had been touched by the cold phalanx of the Silent King and even if they were dead their sole existence and presence was a problem. Burying them seemed to be the most respectful option but there was a chance of their bodies having tracking devices inside of them that could be used by more Possessed to reach the location of your hidden base, destroying the bodies by incinerating them in the powerful forges of the Fabricatorium was another possibility but you were scared of how the alien Necrodermis that was covering their bodies would react to the fires, if it ended creating an exothermic chemical reaction it could blew up the entire building and leave you defenseless and without the chance of equipping your army.

Luckily for you one of the attackers wasn’t completely killed and was crippled and maimed instead. Its wounds would have killed a baseline human but this one was somehow still alive, well, calling it alive was maybe incorrect. The Soulless Necrons were a race that had committed the biggest of sins by biotransferring themselves into cold and dead bodies, they weren’t truly dead nor alive and now those Possessed humans seemed to be in a similar state of quantum life and death.

“Get me all the available medics and biologis or artisan specialized techpriests. Call all the work servitors and order them to carry the bodies and their weapons. I want the medics and biologis to study the corpses and the survivor until they find a weakness. Order the Artisans to get the weapons and study a way of unlocking them…I know it is xenotech but we have to discover all its secrets to know how to counter them.” You tell to your closest general, the hotshot pilot Campiní.

It was strange why the Necrons sent altered humans and not their own forces. The possessed humans also weren’t united and seemed to roam the empty city with no real purpose other than killing the survivors. It was almost as if they were toying with you…

You had work to do too. As far as you knew you were the last bastion of resistance in the entire planet and all the territory that you controlled was simply a small underground village. You could always improve the defenses of your base by building a wall or traps around but to do so you would need great quantities of scrap metal and other resources, some techpriests around had been considering the idea of getting a working radio and crafting an antenna dish that could be able to contact with the Space Station that it is orbiting the forge world, some of your prospectors managed to find the blueprints of a heavy tank and even if they were damaged part of your men were already working on compiling all the data. You were their leader now; it was up to you how to guide your army.

Once she was over with getting everybody and assigning each their respective orders she returned to you. You were still kind of shocked by Nathaniella's death and time seemed to have been warped, sometimes it felt like a second was an eternity and in a few ocassions that a single hour was as long as a blink. You needed to get away from that place for a while, to vent out some stress and relax.

"Campiní, you are a good pilot right?" It was obvious that she was but in that moment everything felt irreal and confusing and confirming such facts made the world that surrounded you felt a little bit more logic.

"Indeed I am sir! Anything with an engine and wings can be tamed under my hands."

"What about land vehicles?"

She seemed to doubt for a second.

"Not my specialty but I can handle them, unless they are a motorbike, for some odd reason I just cannot drive them with property."

"We should get some transport, it will be really useful to gather more resources when scavenging."

"Lead the way sire!"

Campiní wasn't a specially cheerful woman but it was obvious that she was also affected by her friend's death and that she also needed a distraction pronto. As you left the underground village and entered into the caverns that connected with the sewer system of the metropolis of Aquacadens located above you tried to establish some chit chat to make the situation slightly less tense.

"Funny that you say that you cannot control bikes, I once had one that saved my life in more than one occasion. It was called "Promethia" and she ended sacrificing herself to help me fight a traitor Space Marine. I miss her..."

"You fought a Space Marine...and won? Hard to believe but well, you are almost as big as one so maybe it isn't so impossible."

"Well, that's the thing with humanity, maybe our bodies might not be the biggest but with the use of armor, weapons and devices we can hunt and kill foes that are several times our size. Our brain is the strongest muscle that we have and with it we will end defeating anything that opposes us."

Just as you said those words you ended reaching the stairs that communicated with the city above, you ascended them and saw once again the desolation that the complete lack of society and the feral like Possessed had inflicted upon the few survivors and the city itself. Since it was located underground it was a pretty dark place but the many lamps and city lights around made it a warm and illuminated environment, right now the energy generatoriums that powered those lights had been starved as there was nobody working on them and the entire city was completely dark and cold.

Due to the Necron's trap to lead most of the population towards their portals there were several abandoned vehicles but it seemed that most had been destroyed when the chaos erupted or that they were abandoned with their engines on and were now completely drained of promethium and energy within them.

"It's all up to you now, you are the one specialized in vehicles. If you see one who is both viable and in a working condition tell me. I will give you cover fire in case anything goes awry."

"By the Omnissiah I hope that isn't the case..."

You two hold hands and prayed together as the scouting around started. It seemed that during those days the portals that were left behind had been vomiting more and more transformed humans as the sight of them was way more common and there weren't any more survivors in sight. It was an attrition war against you, if those portals continued spewing the Possessed humans they would soon flood all of the planet and become an unstoppable force that you won't be able to fight back...

"Boss! I see something...I think it is a 600v-ZH2. It is a pretty popular vehicle used both in forges and hives due to its robust design and transport capabilities. It seems to be on a near pristine condition."

With a nod you two moved towards the direction where the vehicle was trying to be as stealthy as possible. It was inside a warehouse and it had been left exposed due to the structural damage that the walls suffered during some attack.

As you reached your destination Campiní grabbed some odd and long tools and started tinkering with the lock of the door.

"Are you sure that isn't heretical?" You mutter as you grab your Plasma Rifle and get in position.

"I am not damaging its internal mechanisms. Think of it as tickling someone until they cry."

"I...am not very familiar with that "tickling" you talk about but I think I understand you."

Several moving shadows started approaching around, it seemed that whatever lurked among those buildings had detected your presence.

"We have to move! They are coming!"

It is hard to see around as all around you is darkness and most that you can see are some moving shadows. You shoot at them as best as you can and see how the green plasma bolts impact into several places, sometimes on them, sometimes on debris that lies around.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" She screams, a second later a click sound is heard.

The doors of the vehicle are now unlocked and at your disposal. As she enters she tries to open the panel under the steering wheel that would let her awaken the engine but to her surprise the Omnissiah has blessed her and the keys are still in contact.

"Enter inside!" Campiní yells as she starts the push the accelerator and the wheels of the van screech on the pavement.

Quickly you open the back doors and hop inside. You are so big that you cannot sit on the co-pilot's seat and thus that is the only place that can support your dimensions. Around you there are some bags filled with fabric but nothing that could be of use to you in that moment.
>>
>>44544430

As Campiní drives around at cruiser speed while avoiding the other ruins and derelict vehicles you see how the shadows start becoming smaller and smaller the furthest you are...that wasn't the end thought, just when you believed that you had managed to escape you saw a giant shape charging in the distance. It was the Necron augmented Knight that you had seen in past times and had stalked you for long. That war machine was completely obsessed with your destruction.

>Try to gain some time by flying and attacking it with your Powersword. Hopefully the Knight wont have means of attacking an enemy who is so close to itself.
>Fly towards the Knight and overload your Anima chip by activating and deactivating it repeated times. This will create a warp disturbance that will greatly damage the walker but might have strange outcomes out of it.
>Continue inside of the van and try to shoot it down with your Lascannon. Being inside will give you more stability but you won't have such a free range of movements and there is always the risk of failing the shot and damaging the vehicle.
>Continue inside of the van and try to shoot it down with your Long-las. The laser sniper rifle isn't as strong as the Lascannon but its zoom will let you see more details of the Knight and might let you find a weakness to exploit.

With a jump you grab the ledge of the van and use your own wings to give you a small impulse that makes you ascend into the roof of the vehicle with a somersault. The ample and long roof gives you plenty of space to steadily place your feet and crouch into the optimal shooting position.

As soon as you are ready you aim and not waste any time, by chanting the rites of awakening while you start pressing the trigger as fast as you can.

"Deus Mechanicus. Anima Mechanica, exsuscitare. Blessed machine, a thousand pardons for my unworthy hands. Deus in Machina!"

You can both feel the vibrations of the 600v-ZH2 van and the own lascannon as they both work at full power at your disposal. It doesn't takes long for the Lascannon to finally power itself enough to cast a ruby colored beam of pure photonic energy directed towards the heretical Necron Knight. Your attack manages to impact one of its shoulders and pierces deep enough to expose its internal mechanisms, seconds later after that the alien metal that composes it starts to heal the wound, you have to keep attacking and not letting it recover or otherwise all your attacks will be in vain. As you drop the Lascannon power pack you check how many more you have left and see that there is only one available...

>Shoot again with your last power pack. It has to have a threshold of damage that it can take before it cannot regenerate anymore.
>Turn the ammo of your weapons into makeshift grenades and throw them at the pursuing enemy.
>Shoot at it with the Plasma rifle. Maybe its acidic properties are powerful enough to chew its metal way quicker than it can recover.
>Shoot at it with the Long-Las. Maybe if you hit at it in a critical point it might be so damaged that it cannot repair anymore.
>Jump and fly, become a bait and let Campiní escape to safety.

You place your Lascannon on your back and quickly switch to your trusty Modified Batross Pattern Plasma Rifle. This weapon has accompanied you since almost the beginning of your journey and it is by far the oldest device of all the equipment that you carry with yourself, it is still a mystery where it was originated from as it was simply found by another fellow techpriest but whatever its origins are it has been a great companion so far.

As you grab the weapon and place the hydrogen fuel cell on its respective socket you start to feel its near organic purr of acceptance. Several lights turn on and all that has to be activated readies shortly after. All you have to do now is aim and shoot.

"This machine is discharged into your care. Fight with this machine, and guard it from the shame of defeat.
Serve this machine, as you would have fight it for you." After a moment of silence you answered as if those words that you had spoken were a promise "I shall."

The plasma bolt that it is generated after you press the trigger flies like a green spear towards your enemy and impacts in its head just as it was charging a shot with its own Gauss weapon. Luckily for you your attack has crippled its optics and left it completely blinded. The Machine tries to shoot blindly but Campiní manages to turn around and dodge its attack before it is completely charged. The last thing you manage to see before she enters into a dark tunnels is how from the massive Gauss barrels of the weapon a beam of atom disintegrating energy sweeps the floor leaving a breach of nothingness after its wake.

Surely it hasn't been defeated yet but you have managed to get enough time for the driver to run away from it. You have saved their lives and kept the vehicle in one piece.

It takes some hours to manage to find a way to move the vehicle into the undercity but after entering into an abandoned subway station and driving across the tunnels you two managed to find a way to go down and reach them. Several hours had passed since you two had left the town and all you wanted to do now was rest and sleep. Campiní left the van with you, she was as tired as you were, maybe even more as she had been avoiding cars and other obstacles while driving as fast as she could.

Tomorrow would be another day.

>Write in: Get some other tech-priest to work on a radio and give him the frequency to your ship.

The next two days were extenuating yet calm and relaxing. Working hard was something that made you feel realized as your position as a member of the Cult Mechanicus. It was true that you were a Magos Errant, something of a Wild Card among the more orthodox members that surrounded you but if there was something that all the techpriest loved was to work hard for the Omnissiah.

In this world, Telematha, all the people are born slaves. They have to prove their value as members of the Mechanicus before they become eighteen or otherwise they will automatically considered of lesser value and turned into servitors. All the slaves live in fear of that day and the only thing that keeps them away from rebelling is the faint hope of being noteworthy and being accepted into the cult as a Techpriest and the "Satiation Sabbatica". The Satiation Sabbatica is a year long "vacation" that all the slaves that haven't been deemed worthy have to take. During that vacation they are given everything they could hope for, sex, food and plenty of sleep...Little do they know is that their food is completely ridden with anabolics and other kind of muscle growth drugs, that during their sleep they are subconsciously indoctrinated into complete servitude and that the sex they do is merely to spawn more future slaves. By the end of that year they are completely servant muscular hulks that barely need any augmentation to do the hardest works that they will have to endure from now on.
>>
>>44546595

The few ones that manage to reach into the ranks of Techpriesthood have their minds erased so they forgive all the family and friends they used to have, almost all of their past is erased so they can only focus on their present and future as techpriests. Nobody is out of the rule of being born slave, even the primogenitor of the highest Arch-Magos will be considered a slave at birth and be placed into trial like the rest of the people around.

All the slaves that you have recovered so far are nothing but scared and confused kids, obviously none of them has reached their eighteen birthday so far. Their future was grimm before all this madness started but now it is simply and absolutely disconcerting, even if they survive there is possibly not future for them...All you can do now is equip them with armor and weapons to slightly improve their survival chance. Who knows, maybe among those scared kids there is a great sharpshooter or general.

With the help of the Skitarii and the Nox Vox warriors you managed to cut down and burn all the giant and radioactive fungi that infested the place. Several chemical burns happened during those moments but nothing that the medics around couldn't treat. As you were supervising how all the work was going you remembered that days ago when you were in this same place fighting against the same people that were now under your command you managed to record how the Arch-Magos Axsiselios and Hellenica fought, you never returned to see the video, not wanting to forget about that again you return and grab the magnetic holotape, right now the entire building is full of people so you better wait until you have some privacy to look and analyze it.

After the entire work was done and the building reawakened the production of armor and weapons started instantly. You hoped that your location was deep and hidden enough for the thermal and energy radiation to not be a clue that gives your position away.

The first day after that you asked around who was well versed in the world of frequencies and long range telecommunications and finally you managed to find a lonely techpriest that was eager to help you. He was a scrawny man with short black hair, shiny brown eyes and dark skin, his face had a somewhat rat like appearance and despise his mature age he had braces on his mouth.

"Hello Sire! I am techpriest Iker at your disposal. I have heard that you want of my services? How may I help you?"

"I want to speak with the people high above, there has to be somebody in orbit that might aid us. Do you think that we might be able to talk with them?"

"Well, it isn't impossible... There are several barriers that we have to cross first, there is the entire city of Aquacadens above us and on top of that there is the crust of the planet and even more buildings... To be able to build something like that we would require several parts that we lack now: A transmitter, a frequency modulator, a superheterodyne receiver, diodes, resistances...and oscilloscope would also come in handy!"
>>
>>44546661

"Just give me a list of all we need and I'll make my men go for it." You answered, barely knowing any of those terms.

"Oh yes of course! After we have them what frequency should I contact?"

"I...I don't know the frequency of my ship..."

The instant you said that he gave you a stern look as if he were wondering how couldn't you know something like that.

"Well, we will have to keep all of them then. It might take a day or two."

Time wasn't on your side. As the days passed the food and resources were running low and with each expedition to the city more and more dangers were found. Maybe some of your Generals know the frequency, you should ask them the next time you meet them.

After getting the list of all the necessary items to build the radio you created teams composed by three skitarii and a techpriest to explore the city in the search of the items. Of those four people teams at least half of it had to be original from Telematha so they could better travel and orientate themselves in the now eerily empty streets. You knew that some of those teams wouldn't return but that was a price you had to pay for.

>See how the tank’s project its going.

With that done you approached another team of techpriests that you had assigned, the ones that were focused on collecting and analyzing data from the Tank's blueprints. So far they seemed to have done a pretty good work and several pieces of machinery and copies of the blueprint along with dozens of notes and scrolls lied around the warehouse that you had given to them.

"I see that the Omnissiah is present on this place, for the rest of the people live in orderly manner while their minds are completely disorganized while our lives are disorganized and our minds are full of order." You say once you reach them.
>>
>>44547531

It was true to a degree, most of the Techpriest worked in completely messy environments but all that mess was their mess and they could work efficiently like that. The moment someone else dared to change that particular setting all their work crumbled as they suddenly found unable to find their tools or other work necessary utensils and books.

"I welcome thee Magos Heracor. Our work with the Tank has been both mentally rewarding and experience giving. With the Fabricatorium reawakened we believe we can now construct this sacred machination vehicle." Answers a gold masked Magos with a blue light emanating synthskin body and a neat ruby hood.

"We think it is a Baneblade pattern of some sort. It would take us weeks building a single one if we completely developed the fabricatorium to its construction. The process could...be accelerated if we sacrificed two of the Meltadrills that the Nox Vox possess and also the van that you have recently recovered, their pieces will be incredibly useful for their construction."

"I'll think about it. What else do you need to make it into a reality?" You said.
>>
>>44547541

"We need promethium, a special formula of promethium. You can either find the chemicals that compose it and search for some laboratory that it is able to distill the mix or find for the already finished product. It is necessary for the Machine's sacred engine, another kind of promethium wouldn't work."

"Give me a list of how to create that fuel and all the neccesary items. I'll create prospecting teams and also personally participate on it."

"Thank you sire! With this vehicle our victory is assured!"

It was obvious that those techpriests were ecstatic about the creation of this tank. They were terrified and that vehicle was their last source of hope.

>Ask for some scribe to make a list of all your forces so far.

You are slowly getting the gist of how manage your people but your don't really know how much people do you have in total. You better ask some Logis techpriest to do the work so the management can be more efficient and productive. Once again you had to search around and question the workers for someone of that profile but at the end you managed to find one who was both good with numbers and free to do the task.

The techpriest that was asked to do so was a gaunt and small woman of indeterminate age that had the body of a preteen but whose face and skin looked incredibly wrinkly and old. Even if her body looked frail and delicate she sprinted away with the energy of a kid and pestered everybody to note their name, role and origin. Meanwhile you went to do something else.
>>
>>44547571

>Check how the autopsies and biopsy of the defeated Possessed ones go.

You were tired of working hard and doing so many things while sleeping so few hours. Being so deep underground made you feel dizzy as there was a great air pressure that you weren't used to, there was also the fact that the humidity was nearly in a constant 95% level and that nights were incredibly cold down there. After more than a week under those conditions your body started to slowly get attritioned by those factors. Every day you woke up completely cold and tired no matter how much you slept.

Slowly you dragged yourself into the Medicae Bay and asked to see the corpses and the survivor that were defeated several days before. Their bodies had been completely butchered to discover all their secrets and even if you had managed to discern some human organs among their remains you also noticed that there were strange Necron devices inside of their guts. The moment you saw the corpse of Nathaniella you couldn't avoid puking, at the end it became too much and you passed away.

No matter how much you have been augmented, deeply you are human and while your armor might protect you against bullets and blades there was nothing that could stop the damage that seeing your friend completely butchered and filled with alien devices. It wasn't a doctor or a nurse the ones who woke you up but the sound of screams and death.

As you woke up next to your dried vomit you managed to see that one of the corpses that was stored in a room and being studied was heavily convulsing. From its interior about three small Necron scarabs started to emerge until all the Necrodermis devices that formed it were completely turned and the only remaining thing left were several unconnected chunks of human flesh. You ran as fast as you could and blocked the door before the xenotech was able to leave. Doing so almost made you fall into unconsciousness again, your forced sleep had made you rest a little bit but you were now pretty famished and dehydrated.

The metallic door wouldn't last long against those alien constructs that seemed to be able to devour anything and everything on their wake. Several gunshots were heard on the distance, whatever was happening it was also occurring to the rest of the deceased bodies.

>Place a trap with a frag and krak grenade and run away. By the time they are done with the door the grenades will activate and hopefully kill them.
>Move away from the door and get your plasma rifle ready. Those creatures are devourers but you also have something that devours anything on its wake; plasma acid.
>Use a combination of your muscular feet, fists and sword to kill all the three scarabs.
>Run away and check how the rest of the Medicae Bay is.
>Try to contact with the exterior, even if the sum of all the spawned scarabs is big your arms are surely bigger. Nothing can beat the combined and superior human firepower.

Do both. We'll have less to shoot even if the grenades fail to kill all of them.

>Move away from the door and get your plasma rifle ready. Those creatures are devourers but you also have something that devours anything on its wake; plasma acid.

You grab both grenades and by sacrificing some cloth of your dirty Magus robes you manage to tie the grenades to the ceiling and to the doorknob. The moment those hellspawn beetles devour the door the doorknob will end falling, with it it will first pull the pins of the weapons and finally the grenades themselves who will hopefully fall just above the Necron constructs. After doing so you somersault and ready another hydrogen fuel rod on the designated chamber and start chanting the necessary litanies for a proper weapon activation.

"Bringer of Death speak thy name, for you are my life and the foe's Death."

After muttering those words the weapon chimed with the usual sounds of proper activation, it was as if it had spoken its name. Filled with determination you raised your weapon and awaited for the trap to take effect.
>>
>>44549325

The moment those vermin ended devouring the doorknob from their side the other half fell to the ground and removed the pins of the grenades just as the first cracks were starting to form in the polished surface of the door. As the first enemy managed to breach and cross the barrier the rest of the cloth pulled the grenades from their loosely tied knot on the ceiling, making them fall. These creatures didn't had a chance, their lack of true mind made them continue advancing across the breach they had created even after seeing the grenades falling next to them. The Krak grenade fell first and exploded with a small yet concentrated blast that completely obliterated one and damaged the other two, a second later the frag grenade exploded and with its lousy and powerful blast completely obliterated them all. You didn't even had the chance of using your plasma rifle, kind of disappointing really.

In total there had been seven possessed humans in your last attack, you managed to kill six of them...if each generates three scarabs that means that there are about eighteen, minus the three ones that you have just killed that makes them fifteen in total.

Those are nothing but conjectures and hypothesis thought, to truly know the real prospect of the attack you have to see it by yourself. With your plasma weapon ready you run into the search of more enemies to hunt, along the way you find several dead medics and techpriest who have been half devoured. Oddly enough all the windows and doors that communicate with the outside have been covered with scrap metal and other debris.

"W-wait!" You hear from your back, you turn around and see a Nox Vox medic with part of its torso missing, every time it breathed a great stream of crimson blood spewed from its pierced lungs and guts, he was near dying and the only thing that keep him alive was his own determination. You ran towards his direction to comfort and question him.

"Everything will be fine, what has happened?"
>>
>>44549357

With the use of more parts of your robes you managed to create some bandages of some sort, they wouldn't save his life, he was doomed, but at least it would be enough for him to talk before meeting with the Emperor on the other side.

"The...the metal of their bodies, after their deaths it started to change...it was a gradual change, we didn't noticed it. We were fools."

You desperately searched around and managed to find a needle with morphine, without a doubt you stabbed him with it to make its pain slightly more bearable and make his testimony slightly easier.

"It all was so slow yet so fast...the first scarab formed and attacked us as we were performing an autopsy...more followed soon after, they devoured us and also the flesh of the one who survived...who in turn created more scarabs after it died..."

"Don't die on me dammit!" You didn't knew anything from that medic but in that instant it seemed like the most important person for you.

"We managed to tell the people from outside what happened, with their help we sealed the entire building...we also found you but we tough you were dead...we didn't had time to check...I'm glad I was wrong and you were alive...please...save us."

You didn't noticed it but as he spoke more and more blood started leaving his body until it was little more than an empty and pale husk that. He died on your arms and soaked you with his blood doing so. You closed his eyes and left him resting on the floor, you had a building to purge.

>Hack into the vox system and tell the survivors to take shelter somewhere safe, hunt the scarabs by yourself.

You left the body away and still with fresh blood staining your body you traveled to the small room that acted like a control zone for the entire hospital. Between a couple of server racks and several CCTV screens lied a single vox-caster with a red light that indicated that it was on.

"To all survivors! Hide in the toilets while I hunt all those scarabs! Omnissiah Vult!"

>Gather all the canisters of inflammable liquids and gases that you find and burn the building. Scout the areas while they burn, in case you don't kill these insects the fire will.

Luckily for you the Medicae area of the village that you controlled wasn't very big. Most of the materials were all stored in the same place. You ran towards were all was stored and helped a couple of survivors reaching the toilets along the way, once they were all inside you continued running and ignored all the scarabs along the way until you managed to enter in the room. Once inside you gathered several canisters of N2O and pure Oxygen, if both were mixed they would create Entonox, a very useful anesthetic drug but separated they would both become into a gaseous ball of fire and death. In the same room there were also several rolls of flammable bandages and disinfecting alcohol.
>>
>>44550238

By mixing the alcohol and the bandages you managed to create some sort of molotov cocktails of some sort to replace the loss of your grenades. You grabbed a medical cart and emptied it of all its pills and other items to fill it to the brim with gas canisters and several of your handmade molotovs. You were already used to having incendiary grenades with you as you have already carried and used them in the past.

With it all ready you left the room while carrying the cart and ran over a couple of scarabs along the way, you doubted that they died with the impact but that mattered now, they would all soon die when the fire devours their bodies.

Once all was gathered in what you felt that was the center of the Medicae Bay you awaited for the scarabs to come. As you saw them approaching you calmly lit the first molotov with your flamer dendrite and saw how the bandages slowly burned and became closer and closer to the inflammable liquids. Your calculations seemed to be wrong, there were more than twenty one scarabs in there, there were at least thirty, it didn't mattered, you would kill them all!

When they were all surrounding, you simply threw the molotov and let its liquids spill and burn everything around, then you flew in an arching way above their metallic bodies.

Just as you fly on your back a massive orange explosion forms and engulfs most if not all of the scarabs. You spin on the ground and look at the caused damage just in time to see one of the canisters with several holes that spewed a cerulean fire from them advancing in your direction like a missile. Thanks to your reflexes you barely managed to avoid it before it continued advancing without control and exploded on your back.

The explosion that you had created was a pretty intense one and soon it would turn into a complete incendium that would completely eradicate the threat.

You don't know what motivate those scarabs but from the ashes and twisted metal several of them emerge, they are damaged beyond repair but they don't seem to mind it, they proceed to devour the charred floor and remnants of the canisters to regain energy and metal to recompose themselves in an atomic level.

With the aid of your Talonspheres and your wings you manage to get a great speed and move in circles while being always facing the burning fireplace. Anything that moved died under the fire of your plasma rifle, you didn't even waited to see if it was a scarab or not, all had to die. The moment the green plasma touched the red fire a mix of the two formed creating a brownish hue of some sort. After your tenth spin the mix of fire and plasma had turned the entire bonfire into a charred and melted slag filled mound, from the inside the sound of screeching scarabs and a few poking and still moving legs could be heard and seen, it didn't lasted long thought and after some seconds they all ceased to move and scream.

You looked around and saw some fire developing but luckily for you it didn't had time to completely extend and devour the entire area. With the help of the people that took refugee in the bathroom you managed to extinguish the fire.
>>
>>44551423

"Each...Possessed has one scarab inside, the moment they die the scarab activates and eats their flesh and metal to create more copies of itself. Whoever is doing all this wants to destroy us at all costs..." Said one of the surviving nurses after all the fires were extinguished.

"What if that scarab that inhabits their bodies is destroyed?"

"I...well I am no xenologist but I guess that maybe they would completely cease to function, or at least they wouldn't turn into scarabs after their death."

It wasn't much but now you had the closest thing that you had to a weakness to exploit. With a comforting pat on the nurse's shoulder you proceeded to slash your way out of the hospital by breaching the defensive barriers that they had constructed before as a defensive measure. Once outside you found yourself surrounded by everybody, they all thought that you were dead and now they had seen that you didn't only survived but that you were also the hero that had saved them all.
