Ending off your training with Vegeta, Goku, and Gohan with a beam clash with the youngest of the saiyans, once again the boy continues to surprise you with the strength he has hidden away within himself. His power is still currently far below yours and the adult saiyans, but he's still come an incrdibly far way in a short amount of time. As your energy beam starts to finally ovewhelm him, the purple wave engulfing his yellow one, you let the attack drop, rather than actually risking injury to the boy.

As he starts to fall down to the Earth, you swoop in and grab him by his collar, putting the boy down onto the ground and checking him over for any injury. Aside from his exhaustion, he's fine.

"You did good Gohan, keep it up. Proud of ya." You tell him with a grin, messing up the boy's hair a bit as his father and Vegeta come down as well. Both looking rather pleased with his show.

The cheerful mood is slightly put off as your scouter pings, though. Reaching up to answer the communication line, your body freezes at the voice on the other end.

"You played your hand too soon, revealing yourself like that... Dear Cousin."

Frieza

He knows, his long range scouters must have picked up on you powering up, and no doubt he's already got technicians working on pinpointing your location. Your new power is no longer a secret from the monster that took everything from you, from Vegeta, and no doubt billions of others across the universe.

If Frieza was able to casually track Arctus' power reading with his complacency, then that probably means that Cooler and/or Cold already had an inkling of what Arctus gained on his trip to Arcosia.

Cooler's as paranoid as Frieza and generally more up to speed on gathering information on potential threats or allies. He might have already had someone keeping an eye on Arctus the moment Cold assigned him some missions.

Cold seems as complacent as Frieza at first glance, though this could be him putting up a front to make potential enemies underestimate him; he's old enough to have lived through Buu's first rampage and somehow knew about Beerus. I don't think that this Cold will be as complacent as canon-Cold. Plus, he was also a part of Arcosian royalty, and is probably one of the most knowledgeable people on Arcosian lore and all that shit. If he knew Arctus made a trip to Arcosia, he probably knows what he went there for.

I got a feeling that Cooler's intelligence network can also very easily become Cold's intel network, if Cold's interest was piqued enough. Like having a certain drunkard of a nephew gank several experienced alien officers/generals who were 2x-5x as powerful as he was.

Yeah, but I kinda liked having a protagonist who was also a part of one of the biggest groups in the universe. It added some depth to it, made Arctus a bit unique amongst the other protagonists since he could manipulate his way into a position where he could start to transform the PTO into a more benevolent organization, rather than just throwing it all into the wind. Remaining as a part of the PTO would have had some interesting opportunities to flesh out Cooler and Cold as well.

Of course, I'm not saying that it's not impossible now. All we did was piss off Frieza, which Cooler might find hilarious since it's coming from another family member and not a space monkey. I guess it all depends on whether Cold views Arctus' actions as him asserting himself into the hierarchy or not.

The saiyan could probably take any of your cousin's lower forms without breaking a sweat so long as he had the Kaioken, but if Frieza used his final form, Goku wouldn't stand a chance in hell. Being outclassed twelve times over by the tyrant's full strength.

Your eyes glance over to Vegeta as well, your partner, carrying your unborn child... she wouldn't stand a chance either. Her power level of three million is astounding for a saiyan, but it's still not enough to help you against Freiza. The only one that can fight him is you, and you alone... at least in this universe. If only there was a way you could reach out and gain the help of people like Kabuya or Kaguya...

"You aren't thinking of leaving me behind and running off into space to fight Frieza alone, are you?" Vegeta asks, her eyes narrowing at you as she still has her arms crossed.

As it currently stands, none of you can take a fight against Frieza's full strength and win, but with the astounding growth rate that you've all shown, it could be possible for you to contribute if we had enough time for more training, but that is a luxury we cannot afford. I think you should all come with me, at the very least you can keep the Ginyus, Dodoria, Zarbon and Frieza's other goons off me while I fight him.

I'd rather not fight on Earth itself, Frieza has a massive temper problem and he might well destroy the planet out of spite when I start pummeling him into the dirt.
