Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place in the years Frieza controlled Planet Vegeta, as the Saiyans grow in strength and try to find a way to free themselves.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You've become one of the most powerful Saiyans in the universe, but there's still potential for you to grow stronger.

You remain where you are, and take a moment to sense the power levels that are approaching. Each of them are large, but four of them are massive, and one of the four is so unbelievably huge that you wonder if it's Frieza himself.

"My scouter can only read one of the power levels," Soko tells you. "10,000. The others are much too high."

"That doesn't tell us too much," Toma points out. "Daikon and Kuriza are both too strong for the scouters to read their powers."

You remember Dodoria speaking of this team, and how they're supposedly unstoppable. Feeling their power levels now, you can understand what would make him believe that.

"What exactly are we in for?" you ask Kuriza.

"My father and grandfather's strongest soldiers," Kuriza tells you. "The strongest team of fighters in the universe. They've destroyed countless worlds, slaughtered billions, and killed the strongest fighters that have ever opposed my family."

"We can take them," Bardock says with confidence.

"No, we can't," Kamatsuna argues. "If Daikon says they make him look weak, we don't have a chance against them."

"So what, then we run away?" Soko asks.

"We try," Kamatsuna confirms. "Azu, get Sabi and Rugula out of the healing tanks then rush over to Kuriza's ship."

"Right," the blue-haired woman says before running to your own ruined ship.

You rush toward Kuriza's ship, ignoring the tiny alien's demands that you not do so. The others follow, and Kamatsuna alerts your soldiers to rush there as soon as possible and be prepared for battle.

You make it inside and look around for the command center, finding it after a short bit of searching.

"What do you think you're doing?" Kuriza demands as he and most of the others join you in the room.

"They're closing fast," Kamatsuna announces, rushing for the controls. "Azu needs to hurry."

She quickly figures out the basic controls and prepares the ship to take off.

You can sense the Ginyu Force growing closer.

Suddenly, the powers seem to vanish, but then reappear just as quickly right outside of the ship.

The Ginyu Force has arrived.

At the bottom, you find five alien warriors waiting.

The weakest among them is a short, somewhat chubby green creature with four eyes. Then, there's a large alien with red hair and a cocky grin on his face, a short red alien with white hair, and a bald blue alien who towers above them all.

The strongest by far, however, is a purple-skinned alien with no hair, but two horns on his head.

"Well, looks like we found who we're looking for," the purple alien comments. "That didn't take long at all."

The five chuckle to themselves.

"You hear that, boys?" the purple one asks. "He wants to know who we are."

The red-haired one steps forward, striking a pose. "Huuuuuuuuuuuuu-I'M RECOOME!"

"I AM, BURTER!" the blue one shouts before striking a pose.

"I'm Jeice!" the red one shouts before doing the same.

"Guuuuuuldo!" the green one says before dropping to one knee and posing.

The purple one faces away from you before bending down and looking between his legs.

"GINYU!"

"Fight as one, together!" they shout together before posing as a group. "WE ARE THE GINYU FORCE!"

You take a moment to recover from what you just saw.

"So, why did Frieza send you?" you ask him.

"Well, I think that's obvious," Ginyu says. "Frieza wants you taken care of."

"And by "taken care of", he doesn't mean were here to feed you and change your diaper, he means we're here to kill you," Jeice clarifies.

"Did you really need to explain that?" Ginyu asks irritably.

The five exchange glances, smirking ant trying to hold back laughter. It doesn't work, and they chuckle to themselves once again.

"Lord Frieza wasn't convinced that Kuriza could handle this himself," Ginyu tells you. "Evidently, he was right."

"So now we're here to clean up his mess," Recoome says.

"Try not to die too quickly," Burter requests. "We want to have some fun."

"If you could beat Kuriza, you might be able to give my men some sport," Ginyu suggests. "But, I plan on taking you myself."

"Aww, that's no fair, captain!" Jeice protests.

"Yeah, you always hog all the fun fights," Guldo adds.

"Alright, fine," Ginyu relents. "I'll go contact Lord Frieza while you four clean up here."

"Alright!" Recoome shouts in excitement.

"Now, who's the best captain in the universe?" Ginyu asks.

"You are, sir!" the four shout together.

Ginyu grins, shooting off into the sky and quickly disappearing from sight.

Guldo smiles. "Yeah. Besides, we can use the time to decide who gets to fight who."

Jeice smirks. "Alright, Saiyan, you have your two minutes. But don't take too long, or we'll come in after you."

The four form a circle.

"Rock, scissors, paper!" they shout, throwing their hands into the middle of the circle. "Tie, go again!"

They repeat the action. "Tie, go again!"

You leave them behind and enter the ship.

Kuriza, Kamatsuna, Soko, Bardock, and Toma are all waiting for you, frowning as they see you return.

"So, we have to fight, then?" Toma asks.

"Looks like it," Bardock confirms.

"Hopefully when Rugula and Sabi recover they can help us even the odds a bit," Kamatsuna suggests. "Right now, there's not much else to do but fight."

"I can heal anyone who gets hurt," she answers. "But any attempts I made to attack them would take too long, and they'd find me and kill me before I could kill them."

A moment later, you feel the air leave your lungs as a beam of energy is shot through your chest, cutting through your armor and going through your body. Your vision blurs, and you spit blood as you fall back, crashing to the ground painfully.

You can feel yourself fading away, and you look up to see Kamatsuna step back, and the girl step forward. The girl drops to her knees in front of you, putting her hands on your chest and closing her eyes.

You feel your energy return, and as you sit up, you see the hole in your chest has been repaired.

The girl steps back, taking a deep breath before sitting down.

"Malfunctioning piece of junk," he mutters to himself before smirking at you. "Welcome back, Saiyan. We've decided that Recoome is going to be the one to take you to the cleaners."

"That's right," Recoome says, stepping forward. "It's my turn. What do you say? Let's do this thing. All of your little friends can jump in too, I don't care."

"Hey, easy Recoome!" Jeice shouts.

"Remember, Guldo gets the blue-haired girl, and I get the one with the spikey hair," Burter reminds him. "And we still haven't worked out who gets the rest."

"Right, sorry," Recoome tells his comrades before looking back at you and clapping his hands. "Now, Saiyan, you'll feel the power of Recoome!"

He strikes another pose.

This is why I never like bodychange shenanigans as a player. When you watch it, it's cool and tense, when you experience it, it's just such a fucking bother.

But then again, I'm just kind of upset there was no dodge roll, just a flat out "oh, you failed to attack, and you stand there". Maybe I just hate Ginyu's thing because it requires you to just stand there and take what looks like a beam attack, which no one would really do.

And now we have to asspull beating him up enough to justify him using his change now again, which I just don't see happening.

You watch him get back up, grinding his teeth together angrily before shouting and firing a wave of energy toward you.

You won't die like this. After everything you've done, everything you've suffered, you refuse to be killed here and now by this body-snatching freak.

You let out a yell that turns into a scream of pure rage and emotion, as something deep within you ignites. Energy shoots out all around you flattening trees and causing electricity to shoot up into the sky, cracking thunderously all around you as Ginyu stops short, staring at you in confusion and wariness.

A golden pillar of light surrounds you, climbing high into the atmosphere, and almost appearing as a light from heaven. The ground beneath you trembles, and cracks form all around you, chunks of rock rising into the air and disintegrating into atoms as you let out a final howl that echoes through the forest.

You're surrounded by a bright golden glow, your muscles have grown, and you feel a power that can only be described as godlike.

Rugula was right after all, it seems.

You've become a Super Saiyan.
