So guys, I've decided that I'm just going to take a hiatus for a few weeks. There's too much stuff going on, and I would rather take a break and start up again when I can keep a consistent pace than try and squeeze in threads here and there sporadically.

After this thread I'll be taking a break, and the next thread will be a couple of weeks into January, when we'll wrap up disc 3. Sorry to kill any hype you guys had.

You wake up to find your uncle cooking breakfast just like yesterday. Sasuke and his mother don't seem particularly talkative today either. Your uncle serves everyone's meal and takes a seat.

"So yesterday I found out Teuchi's place got destroyed in the attack too." your uncle says, as you eat. "So the two of us decided to team up to make lunch for all the workers. Though it's really more of a competition, to be honest. After all, whoever leaves the biggest impression now is gonna get the most customers once we get our places rebuilt!"

Your uncle laughs. After eating, Sasuke gets up.

"I'm going to help with the reconstruction today." he mutters, moving to leave quickly.

"The service for the fallen is the day after tomorrow." Mikoto tells Sasuke as he makes to leave. "I hope you intend to speak before the clan by then."

"Yeah, yeah." Sasuke waves her off as he leaves. Mikoto just finishes eating, then goes back to her room.

You finish your own meal, then think of what to do today. You were told to do as you wish for now.

You leave and try to catch up to Sasuke, intending to talk with him as you both help with the reconstruction.

You come to the center of the village where the reconstruction is in full swing, to find both Kiba and Sasuke there.

"Yo Kon, you here to help out?" Kiba asks with a grin. "Good stuff. It'll be like we're all doing D rank missions again. Really get that nostalgia flowing."

The three of you spend your morning hauling beams to and fro to be supports for the new buildings and doing various other tasks. There are professional contractors nearby, but they're delegating all the heavy lifting to the shinobi volunteers. And they work them quite hard, as you have little time for anything but work the whole morning.

It is quite the sight to see all of these ninja working together though. It reminds you of after the Sand's attack, but this time even Sand ninja are here to help rebuild.

As lunch approaches, the three of you are let go for a bit, and you all start to make your way to get some food.

You decide to mention Neji to Sasuke.

"You know Sasuke, Neji is going through a similar situation as you right now." you explain. "You guys should talk and figure things out. I'm sure you could come to an understanding."

"Really? Neji is?" Sasuke asks. "I might do that. You probably wanted to talk to me yourself, huh Kon? Sorry for brushing you off. This whole situation has just left me on a bad mood. I didn't mean to take it out on you."

After insisting that it's okay, you turn to Kiba.

"So how did you guys fare?" you ask. "I didn't really hear much from you about the attack the other day."

"Oh we made out just fine." Kiba replies. "Our place is untouched and nobody got hurt too bad. My sister is checking over all the dogs today one last time just to make sure, but she says they're probably good. You should have seen us during the attack though! We had a killer new move! We totally would have beat that jutsu absorbing guy if he didn't get summoned away."

The three of you continue to make small talk until you reach two stalls that have been set up to distribute lunch to the workers. You see your uncle at one and get into that line. Next to you in the other line, you see Lee, Sai, and Sakura.

"Greetings!" Lee says. "It has been too long!"

As you talk, the lines get shorter until you're at the front. The six of you get some food and find a seat nearby to enjoy your meal.

"I'll be ducking out for the day to go talk to Neji." Sasuke says. "I'll see you guys later."

As Sasuke leaves, Sakura lets out a heavy sigh. "That's fine. Tomorrow for sure!"

You've got a bit of time before you're expected for dinner, so you head to see someone.

You find Tenten's family's weapon shop still standing, miraculously with no damage. You head inside to find Tenten at the counter fiddling with a kunai again.

"Hey, Kon! Come on in!" she calls once she sees you enter. "I heard you and Sasuke beat the guy that attacked the village. Nice job! By the way, that mask of yours is still getting worked on. We're making sure that the attack doesn't delay any of our customer's orders, so you don't have to worry!"

You have no idea how psyched I am right now."

You do get a bit of an idea, watching Tenten go on about it and mess with her seals.

I think my issue with the Waifu wars is that While I do prefer 10/10, Kurotsuchi has shown genuine interest in us and we have actively been building that bond, watching the sunset remember and all that. if we went for 10/10 we are not simply choosing her we ar rejecting Kuro and at the same tim hurting her feelings plus the possible overlap into negotiations. We have to stick with Kuro the train has left, jumping back now will mess things up.

You take a seat. Sasuke and his mother look in a bit better mood than before.

I've got a long way to go, but if my father trusted in me, I think the rest of the clan can come to do so."

"I'm just glad you've come to your senses, Sasuke." Mikoto adds. "The clan would accept no one else as its head. I know you can be the greatest clan head we've ever had. I don't expect many to change their feelings about Itachi soon, but you do what you can, okay?"

As they talk, you glance at your uncle. He's just confused at the conversation, and keeps eating.

Eventually you all finish and head to bed. A similar morning as before gives way to the day, and you have to decide what to do. Tomorrow is the service for those who fell in the attack, and the day after, you plan to take Roshi and Han back to the Stone.

One element in particular sticks out in your mind as the most useful.

"Alright, let's get started." Han tells you. For the rest of the day, Han works with you to use Water chakra. You take to it well, and seem to have decent affinity with it. After training for the whole day, you have gained the use of Water nature, as well as a basic Water jutsu that Han taught you.

As the sun starts to set, you take Han and Roshi back, then head back to the Uchiha residence. As you eat dinner, you make conversation. Your uncle's food seems to be a big hit with the workers, and they're anticipating the return of his restaurant. Sasuke spoke before his clan today, and they're going to be officially making him the clan head after tomorrow's service. Sasuke looks a whole lot better since making the decision. Like he's more resolved.

After dinner, you head to bed. Your training is coming along nicely, and soon enough you'll be heading to the Stone to try and bring your villages closer together. You'll need every advantage you can get in the battles ahead.

Well they probably both feel like shit about Hinata, and that sort of thing is probably one of the many things Neji hopes to reform about the clan. From that base of "look at what neji intends to improve" sasuke probably realized a bit that HE could "improve" the clan too. It's not just responsibility over a bunch of people he's got mixed feelings about, it's also an opportunity.

So next year let's work on the fire release. We still need to learn to body flicker and maybe a clone of some kind

The difficulty of learning a technique depends entirely on its complexity

It can vary from a day to a week or possibly more in extreme cases

If you're looking to one hand it, that alone would take twice as long as it does to learn the technique

As it stands, you can one hand any basic jutsu, Thunderbolt and Vacuum Wave, but still haven't gotten the knack of any Impact techniques yet
