You're quite a bit late.

Getting dressed in a hurry (fortunately, it's easy for you), you rush up the stairs and reach the Manse's rooftop just in time.

Zareen, Radiant Starfall, Talon, Aexel and Lynne are standing on top of it, waiting for you. It's noon already, after all.

They are gathered around an Azure Chariot. You already saw it once, but it never ceases to be amazing. A beautiful chariot crafted from what looks like pure sky-stuff, drawn by cerulean horses immersed in billowing white clouds, trailing frost and lightning with every spirited movement.

They're ready to leave for Gem. To infiltrate the city and find your father, mother and sister. If possible, to extract them, if not, to provide you with intelligence on what is happening to your homeland.

It's been too long.

"...Sorry." You apologize to them. "It's been, uh, a long night. I'm sorry to have kept you waiting."

"Don't worry, we couldn't have left before even if we wanted to." Zareen taps her foot and glares at the Night Caste in her group. "Radiant and Talon were also late as heck. They just showed up ten minutes ago."

You give them an interrogative glance.

"I drank too much at the party." Talon shrugs, defensive.

Radiant smiles sheepishly, but offers no excuse or reply.

"Nevermind that, what's important is that we leave as soon as possible." Aexel tries to keep the conversation on track. "The spell will only last until sundown, and we need to make good progress before then." Then, to you: "...We're ready to leave."

"If Rankar hasn't gotten rid of the servants in the palace, there's a few you can trust for information. Also... a few influential people in the Sun Market and the Sunken Bazaar, Nerus Dell, the captain of the Ashen Guard, and the old man of House Arbani, mister Halan". You inform them, handing them some of the notes and directions you prepared for this occasion. "I also drew a sketch of the main roads of the city and the layout of the palace... though it's from memory, so I can't promise anything."

Radiant takes the sheaf of papers, looking rather surprised. "...Wow, you're being thorough."

"You weren't expecting this?" You smile.

"No comment." She replies with a tactful smile. "How do we get this people to trust us? Is there a password or a sign?"

"Unfortunately, not that I know of. Maybe my dad would have something like that, but I don't know about anything. Also, I don't know if these people are still friendly to my family. The treasury of Gem is fantastically rich. That can change quite a few allegiances, and I don't doubt Rankar has been using it to consolidate himself into power."

"We'll be careful." She replies as she leaps onto the Azure Chariot, the last one from the group to do so. The small chariot is quite crowded now. It's not going to be a comfortable trip for them.

"Anything else?" Zareen asks.

>Thank you. And good luck.

>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. Queen of Gem, now ruling the western island of Tianna. You

have gathered a vast amount of allies and friends, and defeated every threat to Tianna up to now.
You recently discovered that Tianna is actually an artificial island, built around a First Age Titan: an almighty

flying fortress. Your forces have crushed the Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water, a Deathlord who tried to usurp

its power for himself.
And now, on the day of your wedding, the Unconquered Sun Himself appeared to you and crowned you Princess of

Creation, asking you to be an example for others in these dark times.

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have

ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are

considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current

score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental

fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible

acquisitions.

If we're sending in a whole circle of Exalted I'm more comfortable with them attempting a rescue, but we should leave it up to their judgement on whether or not to proceed with it depending on how things are in Gem.

Did we get another box of it?
>>
>>44089377
Maka is so strong now...
>>44089388
Hello sexy~
>>
>>44089545
Yeah, basically this. It's our best chance to get our family out, but doing so will tip our hand to Rankar. If he's just a mortal with a mortal army, then we don't have much to worry about. If he's gathered Exalted and gotten closer to the Realm, then that's more worrisome.

So, basically, we trust them and their judgement. And thank them so much. This is a big thing they're doing for us.

I don't know the calculations, but we did just bump up Mental by one and Cult by... two? Both improve our Essence.

Also, I'd like to make a call for Summoning the Loyal Steel to be one of the next Charms we get. It's just too iconic and useful.

Well, they were almost as late as us and we certainly did more than talk all night.

Also, D'AWWW

"Yeah. The most important thing is... make sure no harm comes to my family, ok? Find them, break them out if they're in danger...but be careful."

"We're professionals." Radiant Starfall reassures you.

"And.. thank you. This means a lot for me."

"It's a pleasure." Aexel nods, picking up in hand the horses' reins.

Without need for any other sort of signal, the Chariot takes off, picks up speed at a fantastic pace, and quickly disappears in the distance, trailing clouds.

You stand there for a while, staring into the southern horizon, before going back inside.

There's still a lot to do. You'll leave for the Neck tonight. This will be an amusing honeymoon in multiple ways.

You return to your room, where both Tia and Amata still lie on your disheveled bed under the tangled blankets. Amata is clearly sleeping, but Tia pops out eagerly as soon as she detects your return.

"They left?" She asks.

"Yeah." You sigh, pulling a chair up to your desk and sitting down heavily. You can't help but be worried, but now the whole thing is out of your hands. You can only wait for their message now.

>Pick up Amata's plans for the honeymoon.

You put some order back on your desk, while Tia nuzzles up to you for some extra attention.

"...I should probably... mhh. Amata's sleeping?" You glance back at the bed.

Tia nods with a broad grin. "Why?" She asks, evidently suspecting/hoping you're planning something about it.

"...Say, Tia? We have to get ready for the Honeymoon, so we should look our best. ...Let's raid the wardrobes."

She nods eagerly, and follows you outside.

You silently close the door behind you in order to not disturb Amata, and then cheerfully go rampage through Tianna's collection of clothing.

(One of the outfits will be the black and gold one, so you have 4 choices.)

You spend a gleeful afternoon with Tia, trying things in the wardrobe and picking the best for yourself, storing them in your pocket clothing dimension.

...Maybe you're following Tia's advice a bit too much. Buy hey! She's having fun.

In fact, she's been downright ecstatic and hyperactive since the ceremony. You have to admit, you share that feeling.

The rest of the day, you have to spend training the Steelshards. They're forming up to be really amazing fighters, and to be honest you're kind of jealous. Part of you would like to see them give up being mercenaries and work for you, but you're hesitant to ask directly.

Still, you can worry about that once their training is complete, one week from now.

For now, you get your things in order and prepare to embark. The ships that will carry you to the Neck must have set sail from Tianna City already, and will be here shortly.

Regis and Millian will be with you in their role as chief maid and chief butler, together with a decent number of other servants. All mortal, though: the goblin maids can't leave the manse, and even if they could it would probably be inappropriate to bring them along.

When you return from all the preparations, heading for the shore next to Pearl (and for the first time seeing clearly your new Manse, a beautiful silver and azure palace rising from the shores of the small island), you meet up with Amata, already there with... a consistent number of servants and an impressive pile of baggage herself. (As for you, you're travelling relatively light, and Tia just has her daiklave and the clothes she's wearing...)

"...You're carrying all that stuff?" You wonder, surprised.

"Well, a lady has needs. Besides, we're aiming to impress." She admits. "Speaking of impressive..."

She gives you an odd look. "...Huh? ...What?" You react. "What's wrong?"

"I was just thinking of how dangerous you could be now that you have that hearthstone." She mumbles. "I was worrying that it might have been a mistake to give it to you."

"Oh, come on." You giggle. "Afraid that I might endanger the purity of maidens across Creation?"

She gives you a serious look, and you drop the giggling.

"...what? Really? Come on, I'm not like that." You defend yourself.

Amata glances sideways at Tia. "Back me up here."

"You're totally like that." She replies. "And, really, it's not like I don't understand that."

"...Understand what?" Why are you being painted as a villain now?

"Well, some Lunars do a lot of Beastmen-making with their tribes, you know. But, they're pros and know what they're doing." She averts her eyes, and adds "sometimes" in a whisper. "But I agree with Amata, Big Maka is a dangerous weapon."

"Wait, what's Big Maka- ooooh wait a second. A pet name? Really? Did you just come up with it?"

Fortunately, Millian looks like she has no idea what you're talking about. Regis totally does, but he's doing his best to ignore the whole discussion.

"Relax, I'm not saying we should sequester the hearthstone from you." Amata reassures you. "Just... I had a safety talisman made." She hands you a small bone trinket on a very slender gold chain of adjustable length. "Just be sure to wear it with other people."

"...Safety talisman?" You wonder.

"Safety talisman." She nods, putting air quotes around "safety". "Works both ways, and should be strong enough even for an Exalted.

You hold up the small chain to eye level and grin. "...This is a really fucked up thing to give to your husband on the day before your honeymoon, you know."

"The irony's not lost on me." She shrugs, apparently finding the issue amusing herself. "But I know you, and like you the way you are. 'Sides, got nothing against a little hareming on the side. After all..." And she holds up the hand with the ring. "I got you, hook, line and sinker."

And probably the male ones.
and maybe some of the godblooded too, but only maybe
>>
>>44091776
>>44091781

That's pretty needless, though. Kind of pointless to need a talismant to use what amount to a sex toy.

I mean, if Maka wasn't pregnant, would they tell her to wear a anti-impregnation item?
>>
>>44091841
If Maka wasn't pregnant and was having sex with people she would be taking Maiden's Tea, this is the equivalent of having a condom on for ManMaka, so it's not actually a bad item.

That said we should totally be pouty about this

I'm pretty sure it is one.

They would tell her to use Maiden's Tea to not get pregnant

I'll take it since Tia's proven that Maiden's Tea isn't effective on us, but I'm on board with being a bit indignant

So obviously, we take the talisman off when with Tai and Amata, right?

Yes, and anyone else we want to get pregnant.
>>
>>44091912

ffffiiiiiiiinnnnneeeee! But don't expect me to like it!
>>
>>44092023
No we shouldn't, we should be taking it off when we want to have kids and everyone involved has volunteered and agreed to it.

Plus if a Celestial got a DB pregnant our higher essence would ruin the chance of that child being a DB. I think
>>
Geez, when talk of magical condemns come up people sure do get offensive.
>>
>>44091934
>Maka's beauty and Valeriana's brains
Oh baby
>>
>>44092088
I feel like Maka would be a bit indignant about it. She doesn't like admitting she's a nymphomaniac
>>
Why is Maka the one who needs this? Can't she put her god tier social to persuade people to drink enough maiden tea to go sterile for a month?
>>
>>44092124
Well we could, but the responsible thing to do is to take precautions on our end especially since Tia has proven that Maiden's Tea isn't perfect.
>>
>>44092142
To be fair, few lunars can match Tia's determination in knocking their solar mate.
>>
>>44092124
The same reason to just wear a condom in real life than to make your partner take pills before sleeping with them. It's easier, faster, there's no worry about the availability of said drug/Tea, fewer health hazards, etc.
>>
>>44091738
>Accept the "safety talisman" and wear it.
>Gripe about it.
>>
Honnestly, it's an amazingly useful item, but our beloved are really bad at selling the idea.

I mean, they present it as if it was a constraint Maka had to deal with, rather than something that allow her to fuck people without risk
>>44091738

>>Accept the "safety talisman" and wear it.

>Make a joke about how them being the most amazing wife and husband don't spare them from working on their sale pitch
>>
>>44092255
Uh, you're spot on.
>>
>>44092088
It's not so much the condom as it is being told in a serious conversation to not go around getting people pregnant. If they had just said it was an easier alternative to Maiden's Tea it would be great, but it sounds like they expect Maka to go around being reckless with people
>>
"I don't need this! I'm a responsible adult. I know how to handle myself." You pout and protest.

Amata glares at Regis, who gets the hint and drags Millian away with an excuse ("Hey, actually, I think I forgot to pack your set of kitchen knives..."), leaving the three of you alone on the beach as you step a bit away from the pile of luggage and other maids to have a more private conversation.

"It's not a matter of not trusting you." Amata backs up, but doesn't stop offering the talisman. "It's just that... well, you're kind of unfair."

You grab the talisman being dangled in front of your eyes. "...Unfair?"

"I don't think there are many beings in Creation that would pass up the chance to end up in your bed if offered." She points out.

"Well, thank you..."

"I'm not finished." She shoots you down. "If they're male and you're male, or if they're female and you're female, nothing serious happens. If they're male and you're female... well right now nothing can happen, y'know, so it doesn't matter. But if you're male and they're female, it might be problematic."

"Well, come on. If they don't want to become pregnant, they can just take some Maiden's Tea..." You shrug.

"Two problems with that. First: you're one to talk. You were on the tea as well, and now-"

You glance at Tia, who seems very proud of herself. "...Yeah, good point. I thought she was a special case, though?"

"And you aren't?" Amata suggests.

You roll your eyes. "The second problem?"

"I don't think that there's anyone could NOT want a child from you." She points out. "And that's also problematic."

"Really?" Tia asks, innocently. "I think it's fine."

"Yeah, but you're also a serial rapist." Amata shoots back at her.

She seems to take it as a compliment.

Amata groans. "She's a bad influence on you. Heck, you're being bad influences on each other.

You clasp the small chain around your waist. "I'm just going to wear this because you're so worried, mind you." You mumble and grumble.

Treating her like this will cause her to limit break, calling it now. Maybe not now, but one day.
>>
>>44092293
>"I don't think that there's anyone could NOT want a child from you." She points out. "And that's also problematic."
That's also true, there's god knows many people that would kill to have a demigods child for themselves, to use or raise as their own child super soldier
>>
(i must go briefly AFK, sorry.)
>>
>>44092289

Turns out Amata isn't the best at talking about her husband's dick

Must come from handling the pussies of at least two generations of Maka's family.
>>
>>44092343
We aren't going to limit break just because someone says something we don't like all the time.

By Raw gaining limit is done by going against who you are as a person, like Maka being forced to kill innocents or take part in suffering, just being told Hey don't be irresponsible wouldn't be enough, even if it was kinda badly put.
>>
>>44092422

To be fair, the Abyssals managed to make her limit break from being denied in her attempt to talk to their leader.
>>
>>44092422
>By raw
EF doesn't follow Raw to the letter. Maka has had two breaks, at minimum, and both were in different situations and with different manifestation.

And, by raw, there are limit breaks that happen exactly that way.
>>
>>44092454
They were also trying to force her to acknowledge the Curse as a thing which probably exasperated the issue
>>
>>44092357

>>
>>44092468
A Solar gives birth to solar half-castes
>>
>>44092462
>And, by raw, there are limit breaks that happen exactly that way.
That happens to people that fundamentally against being told what to do, high conviction exalts. You are right about EF using his own thing for the Great Curse, but it's a bad assumption to make that if you make Maka mad or be mean to her she'll go baby eating crazy like the old First Age Solars
>>
>>44092572
>she'll go baby eating crazy like the old First Age Solars
I never said that, and that's not what limit break is, specially in Maka's case. At best, she'd hurt someone's feelings again, at worst, she'd impregnate the whole archipelago.

Limit Break is not becoming a first age solar, that's a separate process that is also caused by the curse.

"Sure, sure." She smiles and nods.

"By the way, did Valeriana make this? I didn't know she was into talisman-making too." You wonder.

"Uh, no." Suddenly, Amata seems evasive.

Your curiosity has been aroused. "...Amata? Who made this?" You grin.

"Um, I have some friends in the Celestial Ewer who take care of this sort of things."

Oh, more heaven stuff. She's always evasive when it's Yu Shan talk.

One day, you'll get there properly. And then, you'll paint the town red.

After a while, the ships arrive. Three magitech vessels, restored from the wrecks and captured ships of the Skullstonian navy and adapted for your own use. And flying Tianna's flag!

The three ships reach the shore and rowboats start shuttling onboard all the luggage and maids (who seem fairly adept on their own with the oars. Probably comes from being a westerner.

Something bugs you. "Why are we so sure that a Storm Mother won't come and give us trouble, actually?" You wonder. Sure, they don't attack all ships, and you never stumbled in one despite doing quite a bit of sailing yourself, both as an Exalted and before, but you've always wondered.

"Because they're storms." Amata shrugs. "Besides, there are some routes that are safer than others. In any case, I doubt there's any Storm Mother dumb enough to show up and give us trouble."

From the boats, as the Steelshards mount aboard, you see the crews, headed by Rubel, Iohannes and Alexei, waving at you in welcome.

The restored ships are indeed impressive. They look shiny and brand new, plated in polished metal and decorated with garish, warm colors and garlands of flowers on the mast and prow. The lines are alluringly curvy, giving the idea of a speedy yet solid design, and feature a dual propulsion, both with sails and with paddlewheels (which seem to be inactive at the time). On each ship's deck, two Essence cannons have been installed on swivel mounts, giving to each wide arcs of fire all around.

The crews, though, despite their new and frankly impressive uniforms, look like the same dirty bunch of rowdy pirates you know.

Glad to know that's not changed. You shoulder some of Amata's baggage and leap onboard. (No sense waiting for a rowboat or anything, the ships are barely twenty meters off the shore.)

"Is the title Queen Maka or Princess Maka now?" Rubel gmiles, as he however still bows reverently to you as you step onboard. "In any case, at your service, as always."

"You scored a pretty nifty ship." You reply, impressed, as Tia and Amata join you onboard.

"It's an amazing ship." He nods. "I wanted to call her Bloodshark II, after my late boat lost to them damn skullfaced bastards, but then Admiral Hazaakaa suggested that that might be a bad name, now that we might have to be mindful of gods and such."

You have to admit that that's not a bad idea. References to "blood", "sharks" or similar nouns are common for pirate boats in the west, both as intimidation and to dedicate the ship to Siakal, the western goddess of war, who is also patron of sharks.

However, Siakal is also, from what you heard, an especially nasty customer, and naming one of your ships after an important regional deity might have political repercussions.

"...So, how did you name this beauty?"

"I was hoping you could help me find a name for it." He replies. "After all, this is going to be our navy's Flagship for the foreseeable future."

"Foreseeable future?" You wonder why that specific phrasing.

"Until crazy scientist team Val and Irene get an airship in the air." Amata suggests with a smile.

Sure, if you're talking about Eclipse Phase where you can freely sleeve in and out of bodies. But in Exalted, a god can literally just quit their job and leave their domain, or get fired, and have a new god appointed in their place. It's a close link than just being an owner, but a whole lot weaker than the link between body and mind.
>>
>>44093167
>They're exactly as separate as a mountains's god and the physical mountain.
No, they're not. The mountain's god can literally hand in a resignation letter and leave this very afternoon, and have a new god living there by tomorrow. It's only slightly more intimate than a normal job due to magical domain-maintenance super powers.
>>
>>44093167
They really aren't, a mountain's god can get killed and replaced without much effect to the mountain itself. You can't say the same about a mortal and his soul

Curl of the Seas has plenty of meaning. It calls to how similar the curling of the sea that happens with waves and how the curvy shape of the ship are similar. It's also appropriate for maka since she's all about the curves.

But what does Curl of the Sea mean for this specific ship, I do agree that not everything needs an UCS reference, but we are going to have a lot of those considering we have Mentor 6 and pretty much everyone in the threads loves the guy. I personally wanted something kinda pirate-y or corsair ish for the ships name, but couldn't think of anything good.

>But what does Curl of the Sea mean for this specific ship
It's Maka's flagship. Wherever it goes you can bet it's gonna get a lot more curvy.

>I personally wanted something kinda pirate-y or corsair ish for the ships name, but couldn't think of anything good.
The entire reason we're giving the ship a different name to what its captain wanted is because we didn't want a pirate name for it because of political implications.
>>
You think about it long and hard.

"...Curl of the Sea?"

He nods. "Not bad. Where did it come from?"

"The curvy shape of the ship brought it to mind. It's the literal translation of the word for "Wave" in Firetongue, Gem dialect, by the way. Gem's so far from the sea that there's no native word for "wave", or a lot of maritime words. Normally they're just borrowed from the dialects of the cities and states that live further north, closer to the coast. But, when someone wants to be romantic or poetic..."

"I like it! Alright, Kamn, fetch me a bottle of grog."

"A bottle of grog, or a bottle of GOOD grog?" The sailor wonders.

"Good, of course." He replies, fetching the green glass bottle as the sailor offers it to him and handing it over to you. "Honor's yours, my queen.

The baggage and troops and servants have finished embarking, and the small fleet is steering towards the sea. As your ship takes the lead in the formation, and the sun is about to set, you heft the bottle in your hand.

Intoning a solemn prayer to the newly-named ship's guardian spirit and beseeching it to protect its crew and passengers, you smash the bottle of liquor on the prow railing.

In response, the crowd cheers, and a second bottle is produced and passed around.

"Were the other two ships named already?" You wonder.

"Iohannes called his "Radiance", and Alexei's is called "Third Dream"." Rubel explains. He looks at the sails, filling nicely with favorable winds. "Looks like the gods liked your mojo, or maybe we're just lucky. By this pace, we should be in Amphiro by tomorrow night."

You take a walk up and down the ship with Rubel. "Say, what do you know about The Neck? Ever been there?"

"Well." He grabs the half-empty bottle of rum that's been going around the crew and sips from it. "for starters, I know they hate being called The Neck."

"Really?"

"Well, no, not hate, but it's not the name they use. The Neck comes from Realm cartography, because they thought the Western Archipelago looked like a dragon, and The Neck is, well, you know."

"Alright, I think I get it."

"They call their country Okeanos."

"Wasn't that the name of the mythical western continent? The one that was destroyed during the Primordial War?"

He nods. "I don't know what they could have in common with it, after so many thousands of years and two apocalypses, but that's how they call themselves and their land."

"They're a tributary of the Realm, right?" You ask.

"Technically yes, but their tribute is fairly small and once they ended up delivering if 15 months late and it seems no one in the Realm even noticed."

"Wow." You whistle, impressed. "Are they THAT irrelevant?"

"I think they're just very, very good at looking irrelevant." he points out. "The Neck is not big, not powerful, and not rich, so the best strategy is to just slip beneath everyone's notice. Frankly I have the feeling that even we're just "noticing" them because they're our immediate neighbors."

"...You're not entirely right, but not entirely wrong either." You concede. "How do you think they'll receive us?"

"Extremely accommodating and subservient on the surface while absolutely panicking in private, I think. It's how they interact with pirates."

"...If they're aligned with the Realm, shouldn't they be Immaculate? And yet I remember hearing they're not."

"They're VERY not." Rubel explains. "Their highest deity is, of course, Ocean Father, so that's an advantage you have over them. They're very close with their local gods."

"Um, when you say very close, do you mean-"

"...Yeah, they have a lot of god-blooded. Traditionally, their Chieftan has always been a son of Ocean, but since the Realm has taken them in, they've tried electing regular mortals for that position."

"It's an elected one?"

"When a chieftan dies, or pisses off enough people I imagine, a tribal conclave elects a new one for life. All positions of authority are reserved for males, by the way."

"Oh, are they."

"Yes, everything politically important is in the hand of the tribes' men."

"What do women traditionally do in their society?"

He shrugs. "Babies, I imagine. Take care of the house. That sort of stuff."

"...I see." You mumble. "You were saying about tribes?"

"There's five tribes in Okeanos: Cyanin, Porphura, Smaragdi, Squalus and Tautoga. Each has its holdings in the outer islands, but the capital, Amphiro, has a mix of them. Fortunately for us foreigners, it's easy to tell them apart."

You tilt your head interrogatively.

He grins. "They're color-coded."

"Oh, you mean with banners and clothing?"

"Nah, I mean eye and hair color."

"...really? It's that uniform? EVERYONE in a clan has the same hair color?"

"Hey, I have no idea what sort of gods or elementals they screwed, or for how long. But it must've been pretty long."

"You don't say." You muse.

"I hear that they're... pretty aggressive about trying to get more god-blooded. It's a good way to get gods, elementals and other supernaturals feel tied to them, and fills their clans' bloodlines with powerful individuals."

You casually shift your weight a bit, feeling the small talisman dangling by the slender chain around your waist.

It's something we could offer as a reward in the future, something to close the lines between us if they be a good part of the kingdom.

"So, tell me more about those, ahem, highly unorthodox mating practices."

He makes a "right down your alley, huh?" face, but without saying it out loud. "...Well, they try and keep them off Amphiro, because that's the capital, so it's pretty much the only island anyone from the Realm will ever visit. The god-blooded mostly stay in the other islands. It's also fairly common for their priests to, um, actively seek god-blooded descendants with their patron deities."

You relax yourself against the ship's parapet. "That sounds... interesting. All the tribes do this?"

"More or less." He nods. "As for the tribes.. Well, I don't know a lot, but the Cyanin are blue-haired, and are the ones more closely associated with their gods and god-blooded. They're mostly in the out-of-the-way islands. The Porphura are purple, don't know much about them, and the Smaragdi are green and are the most influential politically. The Squalus are gray, they control Amphiro, and claim to descend from Siakal. The Tautoga are black, and live on the border with Skullstone. That's pretty much all I know."

"But right now Maka's thinking about setting up her own harem of exotic bronze-skinned tribal girls with multicolored hair." Tia suggests, sneaking up to you and nearly giving you a heart attack. Rubel chuckles.

You snap your fingers. "Back to the issue at hand, you two. So. Realm. How strong is their presence in Okeanos?"

"Not very." He replies. "There's an Immaculate temple in the capital. Very little troops. The Neck is peaceful and compliant. Well, peaceful to the Realm."

"What do you mean?" You wonder.

"The five tribes do raid each other a little bit. Always have been."

"Oh, kinda like my guys. I like these islanders." Tia smiles and nods.

"But anyway, very little in the way of organized armed forces. If we had to fight, I'm fairly sure we'd win just by deploying you or Tia on the battlefield."

"King Tia."

"Apologies. Anyway, most of the Realm presence is naval, and, apart for some ships stopping to replenish their food and water supplies, or to grant their sailors some leave, nothing relevant. I don't think we need to be worried about anything, militarily. Except for surprises."

We aren't going to go in looking for someone worthy to Kiss and have our kids, we should go in and, should some girl stand out as exceptional, consider whether she's Makamama material.

Debating it now is pointless, since for all we know there just won't be anybody worth it, or maybe fucking ANYBODY is going to start a tribal war over who gets to have a blood tie to the Princess of Creation. Let's save the discussion for when we have more than hearsay and conjecture.

Truly the most useful charm, even mortals learn it.

"So, would it be poor form to put myself on the figurehead? Of course Tia and Amata would get the other two."

Great feature on a flagship is a free social attack before it even makes port.

>We aren't going to go in looking for someone worthy to Kiss and have our kids, we should go in and, should some girl stand out as exceptional, consider whether she's Makamama material.
This is a hard distinction to make on a tabletop/quest obviously we have to show some intention of wanting this so EF can have a chance to show off some people, otherwise we might be waiting forever.

>>Time for a tour of the ship.
>>
>>44095513
I like it.
>>
>>44095454
You can't just wait for things to happen anon, if we want to find impressive people sometimes we gotta go out there and look.
>>
>>44095373
>Time for a tour of the ship.
>>
>>44095513
Probably be easier to put our image on a flag or sail, we can make more of those for all of our ships than we could making the figureheads
>>
>>44094835
>But we can just smash Okeanos with WECM saying it doesn't matter that Maka is a woman, she's an ultra competent leader and be done with it.
That's a pretty good idea, we might want to think about doing that almost as soon as we land

>>44095568

Something like a styalized version of the Florin, our coin

Anon, EF knows full well that we're happy to jump on any likeable NPC. We don't need to prompt him.
The talisman's existence is proof that he's aware of the possibility.

>>44095583
I'm on board with that, but I had a question about Wise Eyed, do those motes stay commited?
>>
>>44095586
Wait isn't Maka supposed to be inhumanely beautiful. Like so beautiful that it is practically impossible to make an accurate image or idol of her? without the maker of said artwork snapping his (or her) tools and gouging her (or his) eyes out with a rusty butter knife?
>>
>>44095645
As an exaggeration sure you need like an Exalted level artist to accurately portray her exact beauty, but like a really pretty and recognizable rendition is fine
>>
>>44095373
>Time for a tour of the ship.
>>
>>44095645
Someone who has awakened essence themselves could probably manage it with Craft Charms.
>>
>>44095568
Nah, that's really pushing it. A flag is supposed to embody a nation, not the nation's ruler. Sticking our face on it would be major egotism. It ought to have a sunburst as the focus, if we're changing it at all.

A figurehead modeled after a lovely lady, meanwhile, is a time-honored tradition, and rulers slapping a painting or statue of themselves on their flagship is also quite common.

Hell, if this were a real navy the ship would just be named Queen Maka.
>>
You have another bit of banter with Tia and Rubel, the latter bringing you up to speed on the details of Okeanian culture and society he is aware of.

"...So, I'm sure if Irene was here she'd be all over me with technical details about this ship. Did she do it with you, too?"

"Like you wouldn't believe." Rubel grins. "It all went way over my head, of course, but still, it's a pretty cool ship. Mind a tour?"

"I was about to ask! We just got these three?"

"These three plus the two we handed over to those Abyssal fellows. I think Irene's trying to see if she can get more working ships from out of all those wrecks." He informs you.

You suddenly remember something. "Wait. Do we have a Warstrider on board?"

"Yes." He grins.

"Can I drive it?" Tia immediately asks.

"No." You shoot her down immediately.

Today felt like a slow thread, what are we gonna do about the clothes vote, I totally didn't keep track of what the votes to do about it were.

Social is an amalgamation of the three tabletop social attributes, Charisma, Manipulation, and Appearance.

By the way the other are:
Physical: Strength, Dexterity, Stamina
Mental: Perception, Intelligence, Wits

Sounds like a personal hangup.
>>
>>44096031
It's the one fetish I don't understand
>>
>>44096031
>Sounds like a personal hangup.
its actually pretty justified if you think about how damn obnoxiously everywhere that stupid fetish is.
>>
>>44095995
Why?
>>
>>44096074
Amen brother
>>
>>44096041
I don't think it's a fetish in itself. It's more that some people like the curviness of girls, either personally dislike or are conditioned to feel revulsion towards men. But they somehow also like penises at the same time. So they want feminine the penis.

As far as fetishising it goes it probably has to do with the mechanics of sex the sexual act itself, not the looks or logic.
>>
>>44096041
Can you claim you understand every other fetish?
>>
>>44095970
That's silly Maka can't have a lady dick, she's not a Lunar.

>>44095995
Seconded, why?
>>
>>44096103
Wow, that post makes me look like I'm really drunk or something.
>>
>>44096103
>>44096122
I guess it's just one of those things I'll never get. If I wanted to look at dick I'd look at guy porn.
>>
>>44096144
Fetishes are like that. one man's treasure, one man's trash.
>>
>>44096144
They don't want to look at the guys in the guy porn.
>>
>>44096166
It's just so fucking obnoxious is the problem
>>
>>44096174
Then they shouldn't want to look at dick. It is no longer female if it has male genitalia and no female genitalia.
>>
>>44096175
Only on /d/ really. Hopefully on /aco/ too, since we need a /daco/.
>>
>>44096190
That's really dumb. A fetish isn't about dictionary definitions about what male or female is. A fetish is about "oooh pretty curves" and "wow I'm a faggot I want to suck that cock".
>>
>>44096175
Well, I find BDSM obnoxious, and it's just as frequent, or even more. I don't hate it because it's everywhere, though, that's no reason to hate it.
>>
>>44096190
You don't know how this kind of thing works, do you? I mean, few people know the exact details, but you are specially lacking in understanding sex.
>>
>>44096241
It's nowhere near as frequent or obnoxious, just check /d/ if you don't believe me.

It also kind of is a reason, albeit a somewhat childish reason.
>>
>>44096259
Enlighten me
>>
>>44096283
>>44096241
Something you don't care for being everywhere IS obnoxious.
>>
>>44096283
/d/ is for dickgirls, the other kinks piggybacked on it.

And yes, BDSM is everywhere. You don't notice it because you don't find it obnoxious as I do.
>>
>>44096302
I honestly think it was because Maka had a dick that it bothered me. Never had that problem with Tia or Ririth
>>
>>44096297
Not him, but you seem to have some impression that people find things sexy in a rational way. Sexual attraction is an irrational, instinctual and subconscious thing. Trying to reason with it or offer it a dictionary isn't going to do anything.

It kind of reminds me of how it's not PC to say that a 17 year old is hot, but an identical 18 year old being hot is perfectly fine. As if some arbitrary number has anything to do with what the subconscious is attracted to.

>>44096302
/d/ was made for bondage initially.
>>
>>44095729
>"Wait. Do we have a Warstrider on board?"
>"Yes." He grins.
We gotta use this at some point, maybe Okeanos has a Wyld zone we can take care of somewhere
>>
>>44096803
That'd be fun, I'm more excited that EF gets to open his NPC folder.

all the cute color coded tribal girls

>Except for surprises."
Maybe Running Swallow will be there or the other Realm DBs that raped us.
>>
>>44096940
>the other Realm DBs that raped us.
That's not exactly what happened.
>>
>>44096972
We were raping each-other, it was complicated.
>>
>>44097005
I know, but the way >>44096940 described it made the rape seem one sided, rather than the rape-and-counter-rape that was actually happening.
>>
>>44097055
It was a joke referencing the responses and conversation that occurred at the time anon.
