It takes a while to separate the majority of your plant body from the massive corpse, you leave just enough active through the portals to finish your exploration and looting with Xmar, maybe you’ll get lucky and find something more interesting. The hordes of undead and trillions of skeletons ready for reanimation, your consider reanimating them but your mind is being pulled in so many directions you’re a bit busy for the moment, you teleport someplace else. You consider turning them into a mass of symbiotic fighters for the world eater but it’s probably better to ask if the world eater would even tolerate that.

Massive quantities of Lazarus serum pours forth and using your biokinetic powers the life of the massive world eater is slowly but surely restored. Even with focusing your realm’s power into regenerating the world eater you feel that it will take several more days to get any progress done on its resurrection and potentially even more if you continue to split your focus so much. You assume it will be worth the effort however since the world eater is an ancient and powerful thing.

Izulu relaxes her hold on you, as you fall together only the slight hold from friction keeps the pair of you intertwined. The ground closer and closer to you, it feels so incredibly strange to watch yourself falling from a nigh omniscient view of the world around you. Your plant body covering the ground enables you to see yourself plummeting through the air, it feels almost like you are Hestia, seeing everything like this.

The peaceful serenity of the death defying mating dive is broken by your collision with the ground – neither you nor Izulu gave up and together you slam into your roots, vines and leaves. The impact snaps Izulu back to conscious thought, and she morphs back to human form. The surprised bird smiles and embraces you, you catch a glimmer of happiness and pride as she tucks a feather into your plant based clothing. She then goes in for a rather clumsy kiss, you feel in her mind the times she’s watched and she tries to replicate what she saw with a bit of desperate vigor.

“Now as the others - we are one,” Izulu says after breaking free. Her face flushed with desire, you can see that she wants more.

“Why are you smiling master?”Ayla asks, “We are totally lost there isn’t even a path through the forest.”

Ayla complains after trudging miles through the forests of Alfheim, this is after telling her several times that there is nothing to be worried about. The scattered enchantments you’ve discovered designed to keep people lost, and in a few cases be returned to their plane of origin are easily avoided since the very trees that hold the enchantments guide your way. Ayla knows that you are a plant now and has even tried channeling your power to speak with the plants herself, but she doesn’t get the same loving adoration that you get when speaking with them. You feel that the plants don’t like her impulsiveness, even those willing to speak to her are turned off since she doesn’t even wait a few minutes for them together their thoughts and speak back.

As for the coordinates, you have absolutely no idea. The invitation has them but nothing else to reference how to orient yourself in order to use them. Even if Hestia creates a map of this entire plane the coordinates are worthless, not that you should have expected more from a trickster. Instead you are headed to the nearest gathering of people, hopeful they are friendly.

Hestia you notice has finished her construction project, only to begin two more. She is keeping tabs on your progress in the new plane and is filtering through myth and legend to try and find any information of use. At the time of her compiling her reports however nothing new has been discovered.

Completed Research

>Shield modification – A simple modification of a force field’s power source enables it to drain whoever it is protecting. Draining the health and mana of anyone can be dangerous and doesn’t increase the shield’s protection however. Hestia indicates that the lower power consumption makes these shields good for stealth since there is next to no energy signature.

>Psionic sensors – Knowing already how to jam psychic abilities has made it a simple feat to create a sensor modification that enables tracking of any psychic power use, psionicly gifted individuals, and even pick up individuals that have high psionic potential but have yet to awaken it. The internals have already been ousted by the jammers and thus no new individuals have been located.

>Psionic amplifier – The amplification comes in two packages, the first Hestia can construct chambers that vastly improve psychic powers in a similar fashion to magical empowerment. The second is a minor application that the researchers come up with, an amplification implant. The implant only increases psionic output by about 10% - far less than Hestia’s chambers, but the implant has the advantage of being mobile. Further refinement may increase its potential while remaining non-harmful to the implantee.

>>
>Neural control override – The researchers had no desire for aesthetics when creating this thing. This sickly green worm appears to be a heavily modified barbed version of the mutation suppressor. They indicate that the pain is severe when the creature imbeds itself into the flesh, but it excretes an unusual substance that reinforces neurons and the nervous system as a whole. This parasite is somehow able to differentiate between its host’s normal neural patterns and forcibly changed patterns. It is able to prevent neural compulsion by destroying the previously created neural control parasites, there has also been limited success in this parasite from blocking psionic compulsion.
Ongoing research – Hestia’s research is currently suspended

>Final reconstruction - Hestia is loathe to leave a job half done, so she is finishing up rebuilding the city above to her standards. The richest folks dislike the obviously superior outcome due to the now free handouts and freedom of the ‘lessers’ to be allowed to go wherever they want within the city. Due to their tireless work Both the casino gang and the goblins are becoming respected members of the community.

Ongoing special projects

>World eater resurrection – It seems to be working but coming back from an ancient dry skull is taking some time. You figure it will take a couple days even with your power assisting its slowing restoring life since the creature is just that massive. 10% complete.

>Third circle expansion – While the merfolk did not expect much from you with regards to giving them a place to live, Hestia has started to improve the simple research outpost into an actual city, you are feeling a little worried about the plans which show thousands of exits and ambush points underwater. Hestia assures you that it is normal for aquatic creatures to want these features, she isn’t going overboard with her designs at all, and shows you coral reefs as examples. 13% complete.

>Fourth circle outpost – Hestia has begun her construction of a, primarily trading, outpost in the fourth circle of hell. The Hives are cautiously excited to see something new happening after meeting you. 37% complete.

Hestia’s reports pass as you watch the tears and sadness build up within Evangeline, she thought she was ahead of everyone but three of the others have gone this far. Ayla she can understand with how close the two of you are, but the other two are too much for her.

You see Director Snow start to get a dangerous protective gleam in her eyes, but you are way ahead of her. The truth was a bit harsh but it’s better to but upfront about it, the tears stop instantly when you make your move anyways. The world around you is still, so quiet that without your amazing senses you could still hear a pin drop.

Your adaptation strains as you bring your deific power down into your hands. Both the women at your table stare down in wonder as you sculpt a ring.

“Evangeline would you marry me?” You ask.

Evangeline stutters in surprise, while Snow’s lips curl into a smile.

“That is how your culture looks from the outside,” you tell Rufina

“It’s how it looks from inside too,” she shrugs, “not like it’ll change anytime soon.”

“You do know that there are other applications of chocolate right?” You ask remembering the chocolate she tried to hide.

Rufina of course argues and says she has no clue what you’re talking about. You show her mousse, cakes, pies, cookies, ice cream, fudge, etc etc etc. The poor octopus girl is overwhelmed by everything; she makes it clear that she isn’t anything like her sister so she only tastes everything, a few times. You see her keeping a mental note, ranking her preference of everything. It’s clear that her favorite is chocolate and caramel, it doesn’t matter how it is put together as long as those two are paired.

Looking over the devastated sweets and the now very happy octopus, you wonder if perhaps Hestia should restrict their access to chocolate, maybe even put it as a learning program reward for them.

“That was a lot of sugar; do you want to go spar to burn some of it off?” You ask.

Rufina looks at the mess and starts turning a very strange mix of embarrassed pink and very sick green.

“Yea, anywhere away from here,” Rufina weakly says, she scuttles across dry land surprisingly well - leaving the desserts remnants far behind.

Companions’ exp, spells and abilities are up to date. I held off on social links to see what we do this time.

Ayla
+500 all stats, Ki set to stat cap of 1000. Djinn abilities other than creation and charisma are maximized. Her Aetheric metamorphosis will be further empowered in the future.

Aurora
+100 to all stats, cap increases to 300, several abilities maximized and Intuitive aptitude affinity increases. If she ever allowed testing on it her divine storage ability has been empowered, her invocation affinity rises more. Her Faith bonus has improved considerably.

With the pleasure from Tslah already filling one body, Izulu’s advances are definitely not unwelcomed. Just as it was putting it on her dress catches on her feathery hair, but it doesn’t take long for the pair of you to fulfill the promise of your aerial dance.

The training room is the same as always, Rufina takes refuge in the massive pool and you can see from her movements that she is good.

“What sort of weapon do you prefer?” You ask her.

“Any sort of polearm you have is fine,” she tells you.

A few moments later and you’ve generated an armories worth of holographic training weapons. You move to toss the octopus girl a trident, but that doesn’t amuse her so you settle to fight rapier against spear.

Rufina battles with reckless abandon, but when she notices your speed and strength is above her she retreats to the depths of the pool to gain an advantage. Unfortunately for her everything is your element and you continue the fight underwater with no trouble at all.

“Damn, I forgot you can control water,” Rufina curses after you soundly beat her, “But I have more limbs, let’s see you handle this.”

Rufina takes extra weapons and becomes an avatar of destruction, beyond ambidextrous she uses each of her eight tentacles to attack. Ten weapons, ten attacks. You can see why her people respect her skill in battle, and why her recklessness hasn’t killed her yet. Your speed and skill is too far above her however, your single thin blade is all you need to keep up and surpass her.

“You are much better than I expected,” Rufina says as she eyes you like a piece of meat, “teach me please.”

Your energy coalesces into a glowing band of raw power, a raised point of glimmering white stands out against the golden deific energy. Director Snow is quite impressed with the ring, and she pushes Evangeline to answer you.

It takes her several minutes of stammering and staring at the ring before she manages to choke out an affirmative answer. You slide the ring onto Evangeline’s finger and feel it bond with her, you suppose it can come off later for a ceremony but no one else will be able to wear this ring. You sweep Evangeline off her feet and kiss her, perhaps a bit more heatedly than intended with Izulu and Tslah already working on you. Evangeline melts into your arms and returns the passion before her brain realizes she is in public and she overloads, fainting.

“Don’t worry, fainting is better than I expected from her,” Director Snow says, “she’s always been a bit shy, I worried that her drive to match my strength made the cute little girl vanish forever.”

Director Snow strokes Evangeline’s face pulling her hair back gently as she relives memories and promises from another time.

“Do you mind if I take her back?” Snow asks, “your surprise outing interrupted our time to talk.”

“That’s fine then, Hestia can show you the way,” you tell her, Snow isn’t up to anything but the talk they were supposed to have you sense was important.

“I see, thank you for the meal,” Snow says as you pass Evangeline over.

You pay for the dinner, a few strange looks from paying in gold, and head off yourself allowing the body to merge back into the growing vines now that its business here is done.

Ayla giggles as if she knows what happened, the sound nearly reaches the people you are scouting out. Elves you see as you draw closer, a hunting party. A large animal, something similar to a deer, has been caught and the elves are preparing it for transport. There doesn’t seem to be any danger here so you approach them slowly but making sure to make enough sound to not sneak up on them.

The snap of a branch underfoot, finally gets their attention and soon enough you are surrounded by fully drawn bows. This small party here numbers eight, with a larger group of thirty just a little further, and you sense several other small groups like this spread out in the forest.

“Human trespassers, how did they cross the wards?” One elf says.

“Luck, humans always stumble across the correct way to do things, eventually,” another jests.

“They do not seem surprised to see us, there is more here than it seems,” an older elf says.

“Master you understand them right?” Ayla asks.

“Are you sure you can handle it?” You ask Rufina.

“Is that supposed to be a challenge?” She quips back.

“Alright, Hestia do you mind turning on the gravity,” you ask the room.

“Turn on what gravi-” Rufina is cut short as the intense gravity smashes her.

Under the pressure and at her own request you drive Rufina to, then past her limits. With her limited skeletal structure she proves to adapt rather quickly, she struggles holding her torso up but this training is going to take some time you see from her determination.

At the same time one of the elves panic and loose and arrow at you, showing their agility the other have him restrained before anything else happens. It doesn’t go unnoticed that Ayla calmly plucks the arrow from the air before it hits you, or that she forgot to not float.

“Greetings elven hunters,” you say in their language, “I am Gareth the Goblin King, and this is my fiancée Ayla.”

The elves are frankly shocked that you speak elven and don’t really know what to say so you continue.

“I recently encountered a number of elves who lost their way back here to Alfheim, the way through the enchanted forest would be a bit difficult for them to pass through, is there another way perhaps that they can take?”

“Human kings are rare to set foot here, perhaps it would be better for you to speak with the expedition leader,” the older elf says.

The elves are apologetic that one of their people tried to murder you, but are far more interested in Ayla. Her lazy floating about has caught their attention. Your path through the forest has you meet up with two other groups, they are uneased by your presence but the older elf whose name you’ve already forgotten in favor of calling him ‘old elf’, calms them down and keeps the group moving towards the largest group you noticed before.

The elves scatter about their encampment doing whatever elf things it is they do leaving you and Ayla behind with old elf to speak with their leader. Introductions are made from your side, but the elf leader is disturbed that you are here, your presence could bring disaster to his so far successful hunt.

“I am Þórir Voll, and you humans are trespassing in Alfheim,” he announces, more to the others than you, “as an officer in the Guild of Forests I am permitted to sentence you to death!”

This garners mixed reaction, the elves are actually sort of interested in how you got here but you see that in general they don’t care.

“However, as I am far more noble than you humans I shall let you off with merely five hundred years of servitude,” Þórir says.

“No such thing will happen,” Old Elf says, and he tells the others about how you explained that you came here just to find a path for lost elves to return. You add in some additional details about how you found them and their condition. The gathered elves are saddened by the tale, and you can see that they want to help.

“It doesn’t matter,” Þórir says, “I am in command here and what I say is final.”

Or not, in typical spoiled noble fashion their commander is used to getting his own way. Old Elf looks saddened by this development and shakes his head.

“Then you have failed to understand the meaning of your position and are striped of rank,” Old Elf says, he pulls a token from his clothes. At the sight of the tree shaped token the elves gasp and you hear whispers of ‘grandmaster’. Þórir curses you and blames it all on your human interference, wow, you’re fairly certain that he is more hostile to outsiders than even demons are. The other elves drag Þórir off against his hell now that the grandmaster has spoken and that settles that for now.

“Sorry about that but, my task was and is a secret, my name is -Old Elf- and I must ask if you have the means to verify your claim of lost elves,” Old Elf says. Not much of a secret to your mind reading, he is just old and was sent to test the next generation.

It seems that old elf, or Tryggvi Lang, here is a grandmaster in some sort of elf guild that protects and looks after trees and forests. If you can substantiate the claim of the lost elves to him then he will show the way to bring them back. This clearing for their camp is fairly large plenty of space here for say, a space ship.

You’ve already almost grown to where the elves and their space ship are being stored so you make a new body and walkover to them. They all seem much happier being able to freely wander around the goblin city, a few of them even have adopted some of your ever expanding population of phoenixes. Its only then do you consider just what you’ve done. Goblins already reproduce insanely quickly, and you fused it together with plants and phoenixes. A goblin phoenix hybrid that needs only sunlight to live, if you had combined it with confetti golems on top of it you would have created an apocalypse.

“Gareth?” An elf calls out to you, breaking that train of thought.

“Sub-commander Aoibheann,” you greet the elf, “I have located some elves in Alfheim and thought we could begin diplomacy with them, if you have a few people to spare.”

There is a flurry of communication with the ship and her armor, and in a matter of seconds she has been tasked to go with you to determine if they can move there.

“I have been ordered to assess the situation,” Aoibheann tells you, “I am prepared to leave when you are.”

“Then shall we go now?” You ask, and without waiting for an answer your magic whisks her away.

“I will summon a few of the lost elves here if that is acceptable,” you say.

“Of course, a summoning ritual takes-” Tryggvi stops talking when he sees the gleaming elven power armor appear beside you.

You neglected to mention that the linguistic drift means that the two sets of elves don’t speak the same language anymore, oh well you’re sure that Aoibheann’s suit can translate for her.

“Tryggvi this is Líadáin Aoibheann, one of the lost elves I mentioned before,” you say.

Once again introductions are made, Tryggvi was unprepared for your sudden magic you find out and both sides blunder their way past the language barrier. They get right to business once Aoibheann removes her suit to confirm she is an elf, and you are pretty much left out of it with Ayla.

“Master something feels strange,” Ayla tells you. She is unable to explain it but she shares the sensation with you.

Something is opening a portal here, using the weakened point in space from your teleportation. Or at least that what it feels like to Ayla.

“Hey Hestia, do you mind if I teleport some possibly dangers things to the city?” You ask after warping a body to Hestia’s office.

“If this is another army of undead then no,” Hestia tells you, she flashes you images of all the undead and prepared skeletons you dumped, well everywhere.

“Sorry about that, but this is more interesting,” You tell her. You upload the information from Ayla about the unknown portal trying to open by sneaking across the point you teleported Aoibheann to.

“Oh, you probably want these too,” you drop off the various pieces of Hive tech you got from the insects.

“Yes,” Hestia says seemingly placated by the new things to study, “very well begin the transfer, I will move them to the correct location here.”

A massive gate formed from pure magic tears open in the forests of Alfheim, then you modify the spell and make the gate open where Hestia guides you to in the goblin city.

Several flaming giants spill out of the gate, and with the elves busy talking about elf things you have plenty of time to deal with them.

The large creatures made from burning fire continue to surge forth from their portal, the ones in front confused by their surroundings, they expected elves and forests not a reinforced fireproof test chamber.

You sense no mind to the creatures, they are slow to take in their surroundings and then determine to break free, their flaming weapons strike the walls. The size and shape of the creatures had you assume that they were giants at first but their actions make them seem more like golems. Mindlessly they hammer at the walls while the portal seals behind the seventeen golems, clearly from the size and power of the creatures the elves would have been in serious trouble.

You warp into the room and the golems turn to murder you, their primitive sensing powers are able to detect life forms you note. Then you deactivate them all by severing the flow of mana between their cores and their bodies.

“Hostile fire golems, can you do anything with them Hestia?” You ask.

“While their bodies do not seem to be interesting, I can try to formulate the process to create golems,” Hestia states, “my robots are already vastly superior however.”

The golem’s equipment is bonded directly to the golems so all you find is several more golems, you ignore Hestia’s thoughts on your ability as you do this.

Begin a Gestalt to create an incredible artifact (or maybe even linked artifacts) of wonder for our own use.

I'm thinking we could use every single method we have of creating artifacts to create a different item from each ability, which will ultimately be linked.
>>
Waiting for elves to do elf things makes you feel like Ayla for a moment, it is just so boring. Spending time doing so many things at once has left you a bit over stimulated.

Fortunately Ayla is in the exact same mood so you can entertain each other for a while. Ayla is happy to do so and soon enough you have miniature armies of various elementals battling each other while some of the elven hunters look on with caution. The amount of raw power being thrown around in this glorified game of chess is extraordinary. You even get actual elementals acting as commanders, moving the elemental statues you’ve made around on their own. Ayla is of course happiest when you let her win.

Soon enough Aoibheann and Tryggvi have reached the conclusion of their diplomatic talks and want to engage you in the discussion. They were a bit afraid to approach seeing horribly corrosive poisons being splashed around without a care in the world.

You will the elements away returning the forest to its natural state and Ayla lets the elemental commanders vanish.

“That was interesting,” Aoibheann says, “how does the game work?”

“I dunno we just have fun right master?” Ayla asks.

“It seemed like magic but it wasn’t,” Tryggvi says, “I suppose the two of you are really not human then.”

“What do you two need?” You ask.

(1/2)
>>
(2/2)

The gist of the negotiation that you’ve followed is that as a grandmaster of the Guild of Forests Tryggvi can offer some of the elves to come here, but since their language and even magical ability is so vastly different he doubts that the elves you’ve found will be able to live in this world. Then there is accounting for technological disparity, Alfheim has had magic for so long that it’s an integral part of their lives and thus technology hasn’t advanced very much. Alfheim could take them in, but not the sheer number of people that the commander has revealed still live back on Sylvanus. Before even getting to that point however sub-commander Aoibheann has suggested that you work as an intermediately.

“From what I have heard you’ve done much already but we must ask for more,” Tryggvi says, “These lost elves you have found, we cannot take them all in at once.”

“And your technology is beyond our own,” Aoibheann says, “you could create a way for use to meet, traveling across the worlds.”

“So you want the goblins to be a neutral ground?” Ayla asks.

“I can arrange for our own side to offer a city for neutral ground as well,” Tryggvi says.

All eyes turn to you as the elves give you some paperwork outlining the idea, which more or less is just that the elves you found have only their ship so they ask if the goblin city can be opened to Alfheim, in return a currently non-specific city in Alfheim will be open to your side. It will take some time for the two elven sides to accept each other and adjust to the differences.

While we wait for Apop to finish Apop things, here are some more spell ideas:

>Reverse Engineer Enchantment. Removes an enchantment from an object, and teaches the spell would create that enchantment if it were enchanted onto that object with the enchantment ability.
>Spell that combines multiple Soul Orbs into one of greater power
>Monstrous Growth, except targeting allies
>Spell that targets two enemies, and swaps body parts between them randomly
>Spell that inverts resistances, immunities, and absorptions. Absorbs become normal damage, immunities become partial resistances, resistances become immunities, and normal damage becomes absorbed.. Targets enemies.

Also, we should incorporate that bowl that summons water elementals into ourselves to finally grant us the summon elemental ability. We could probably do that with a small expenditure of Worship.

One more thing, What exactly does our kickass Dragonscale Tuxedo actually do, enchantment wise?

I assume you mean a spell that teaches the spell imbued in an object to the caster? Seems pretty useless considering we can just will mana to do what we wish.
>Spell that combines multiple Soul Orbs into one of greater power
Interesting. Should look into this.
>Monstrous Growth, except targeting allies
again we can do this already thanks to our skill with mana negating the need for "spells"
>Spell that targets two enemies, and swaps body parts between them randomly
eh sounds a bit useless since anything remotely powerful can just regenerate their entire body in an instant.
>Spell that inverts resistances, immunities, and absorptions. Absorbs become normal damage, immunities become partial resistances, resistances become immunities, and normal damage becomes absorbed.. Targets enemies.
this is just "negative" spells which we already have. also we're already researching a dual layer shield that would resist both.

There is currently a spell called Mana Flare, which is level three, costs barely anything, and halves the health and mana costs of a spell. For us, this means that we could essentially make something twice as good for the same amount of effort. Mana flare also lasts an entire combat scene.

I propose we attempt to create a Perfect Mana Flare spell, or possibly an Ultimate version of the spell, to try to get an insane amount of bang for our buck. I'm not entirely sure it will work, but we can also try to apply the idea behind it towards Worship.

We should Create an artifact that Removes the need to eat entirely

>I assume you mean a spell that teaches the spell imbued in an object to the caster? Seems pretty useless considering we can just will mana to do what we wish.

We could teach those spells that we learn to allies, and Hestia could enchant those spells back into new objects.

>again we can do this already thanks to our skill with mana negating the need for "spells"

Well yes, that is the point. These are ideas for how to use our ability to make mana do whatever we want.

>eh sounds a bit useless since anything remotely powerful can just regenerate their entire body in an instant.

ho ho ho, that can easily be fixed by adding an extra clause to the spell that forces the new state to be the natural state for some number of turns

>this is just "negative" spells which we already have. also we're already researching a dual layer shield that would resist both.

Not exactly, this would grant immunity/super absorption to negative spells as well.

Chaos Creation

Goblin Scavenging (Should be used last, after creating an artifact every other way we know how. Then we can leave those artifacts in a pile, and dig around in the pile for more.)

“Everything seems mostly fine to me,” you tell the elves, “I would like to ask a few things first.”

The elves are keen to hear your ideas on the situation since you have facilitated this meeting in the first place.

“Tryggvi would you happen to know where this is?” You ask giving the elf the information relayed to you in the invitation. The elf pales a bit when hearing the coordinates, and you pick up from his thoughts where to go, the dark forest.

“Well then shall we get going Ayla?” A new body forms from your vines and roots and asks.

A quick unnoticeable teleport swap later and you can continue on with the old body, while the new one remains distracting the elves for a while. Following the old elf’s memories will take a while, so you should be able to hammer out the rest of the details for an agreement.

“I hate to ask but combining your forces isn’t going to cause you to go on a mad conquest and enslave other races is it?” You ask.

“We would not dare to even think of such action,” Tryggvi says, “for horrible retribution would be brought down by the Æsir and Vanir. The world tree may have moved the human world away from the touch of the gods, but they still walk among the elves.”

“We are tired of war as you know,” Aoibheann simply says.

“Well that’s too bad, have you heard of the ghaele?” You ask next.

“I know nothing of them,” Tryggvi says.

“Some of the imps in your city talk of them, they turn into large colorful spheres correct?” Sub commander Aoibheann asks.

“That’s right, I was just hoping someone would know something more about them nor worries,” you say, “getting back to this agreement, since both side want neutral ground, what about an independent outpost? One on each side and Hestia can administrate to reduce any chance of issues from occurring.”

>>
(2/2)

“That is fine with me, Hestia did repair our vessel fully so we can trust her,” Aoibheann says.

“I would ask to meet Hestia first before deciding,” Tryggvi says.

“Hestia do you mind meeting with the elven grandmaster here for a moment?” You ask.

You question is answered by Hestia’s organic body appearing, she smiles and gives you a quick kiss.

“Greetings Tryggvi,” Hestia says in impeccable elvish, “I am Hestia, I am the head administrator all the cities under our control.”

“A pleasure to meet you Hestia,” Tryggvi is thrown off by Hestia being alive, but there being no mind within the body, “how many people do you oversee?”

“Several trillion,” Hestia has included all the robots and skeletons into her count to negotiate from a position of strength.

“Well then provided you make the arrangements to build the outposts, I will agree to the terms as well,” Tryggvi thinks that Hestia will be too busy to pay attention and so this condition of yours is just to have it on paper. Oh well, he’ll learn later.

“That is acceptable, I will add this new construction project to the queue, is there a preferred location or may I choose the site?” Hestia says.

“There is another clearing four hours to the north east, it is only an hour from a village,” Tryggvi says.

“That location is suitable, construction has begun,” Hestia says.

“What how is that possible?” Tryggvi asks Hestia.

“I am out of range for communications,” Aoibheann pulls you aside and tells you, “I should report back given the success we have here, do you mind transporting me?”

Also this body can take the grandmaster to the outpost to oversee construction if he wishes. a few hour walk should help ease his possible concerns about us.

I kind of want to see what would happen if WE took that experimental implant that constantly sublimated blood to mana. Could we regenerate faster than the chip converts blood? might be interesting if the thing was toggleable and we didn't have such a "small" reservoir of mana compared to our regen.
>>
>>44068961

It was supposed to heal the damage sublimating blood dealt to you so you could keep it up indefinitely, but apparently that part of the implant failed.

That does remind me, Apo mentioned that we would have to create special implants and parasites ourselves, since normal ones don't work on us anymore.
>>
>>44069009

Maybe Apop forgot to include that? there's also a conspicuous lack of Zen abilities in there.
>>
“Sure, thing I’ll send you back right now then,” you say while growing a new body to take back with her.

“How far can you travel with that?” Sub-commander Aoibheann asks.

“I have yet to find a limit,” you say.

“Well thank you again,” she says, “it means a lot to us all that you are helping this much.”

There is a burst of information exchanged once again and it seems that the commander wants to see you.

“Orders came in,” she says.

“Need me to meet the higher ups?” You ask.

“Yes, do you have time right now?”

“Sure I can go see him.”

You get the feeling that you’ve made many elves sad today, you forgot to make your ears over exaggerated. Even sub-commander Aoibheann is looking at you different, they like it more? The elves here are aware now that there are no other elves in the goblin city, so by not pretending anymore you’ve gained some respect.

Aoibheann talks with you more than before, she is really excited to have been to Alfheim, see other elves, and have it be confirmed to be their ancestral home. And so she chats with you the entire way to the bridge.

“Sub-Commander Aoibheann, you may stay, everyone else is dismissed,” Supreme Commander Lucien orders, “Gareth, it is good to see you as a human, though the plants as clothing, and unusual choicl.”

“Plants just seem to like me,” you shrug.

“Yes I see that, the entire forest is at ease from your presence,” Tryggvi says, “but it doesn’t explain how you could have already begun construction.”

“Hestia just teleported equipment and drones ahead to prepare the area,” you explain.

Your technology is a bit too far advanced for the old elf to grasp. The terms of the agreement and the fact that construction can be started so soon is viewed favorably by the old elf though. Four hours of walking, which Hestia takes full advantage of to hold your hand and unleash powerful sensor sweeps across the land to map it.

Ayla meanwhile has been causing mass havoc among the mushroom population, she somehow is able to detect poisonous mushrooms. She naturally thinks they are not the poisonous ones, not that it matters since you both are immune to poisons. Your poisonous snacks come to an end when you enter the dark forest, while nothing seems to have changed you take note that the sounds from animals has stopped completely.

The forest is even more enchanted than before, knowing who the invitation is from however means that it wouldn’t hurt to be extra cautious. As you draw closer to the first layer of enchantments you can sense powerful life forms deeper into the forest and mirthful laughter fills the air. There is definitely something in the area here.

You take out your invitation just to see if it includes some magical means of bypassing the magical wards. The invitation glows for a moment and magic fills the area. The message on the invitation changes to read ‘Sorry not a winner!’ once the magic fades.
