The bright lights and loud music of Daniel’s Club don’t deter you from your search as much as the warning given to you by the mysterious old man does. Something about him makes you want to listen to him, but still, you can’t shake the feeling that Lewis is in trouble. Rahne and the rest of your squad have all disappeared somewhere into the crowd, and despite being in a room jam packed with people, you feel alone. You have very few real leads, your family could be in danger, and you still haven’t managed to have a real conversation with your squad. You feel almost suffocated by the dancing, oblivious people packed from wall to wall in the club. You get only a moment’s respite as you find an area near the wall that doesn’t seem as crowded. You take a deep breath and prepare to go back in.

You head back to your friends, gently pushing your way through the crowd and searching for them. Match is particularly easy to find, seeing as his head is on fire, and he’s hanging out near the bar. You pull him away from a conversation with one of the dancers, and the two of you look for Rahne or Megan. As you walk, Match has to near shout over the music to talk to you, “So, Siris, you talked to Megan much?” he asks, and you look around nervously. The feelings between you and Pixie are still strange, and since you haven’t gotten a chance to talk to her, it’s not getting much clearer.

You shrug, “Can we not talk about this? We’re kinda in the middle of something.” Ben gives you a sideways glance, but shrugs, “Sure, man. Didn’t mean to overstep my bound’ries or whatever.” Finding Rahne actually turns out to be easier than finding Megan, as mostly human looking people are somewhat of a minority in the club, but soon enough you manage to gather everyone into a corner slightly away from everyone. You look around and run a hand through your hair. “So, uh... what has everyone found out?”

Pixie speaks up first. “Um, well... people have been talking. They said Lewis was, um... selling drugs for Frankie Zapruder. I... don’t know who that is.” While Pixie doesn’t, you do. Frankie Zapruder is the other guy in charge of Mutant Town’s illegal underground. Zapruder and Kaufman don’t like each other. At all. You tried to think Lewis selling drugs was completely out of character, but your older brother was constantly getting into trouble, hanging out with the wrong people, even when you were kids.

Match shrugs, “Well, I found out that the girl Lewis was seeing? She was Alison Kaufman. Shaky Kaufman’s apparently human daughter. Siris, I think your brother might have been in some serious trouble for a while now.” You frown, thinking about this for a while, piecing the parts together. So, Lewis, a pusher for Zapruder starts seeing Kaufman’s human daughter, and last anyone saw of him, he was heading up to Kaufman’s office alone? Things are looking grim for Lewis.
