You leant back on your R-22 Spearhead, arms folded, scrutinizing the form of Misri as she held her E-11 and aimed at the targets down the cargo bay. Kuvasz stood behind her, as advisement and encouragement. “Alright. Take a shot at that can right there,” he commands. Misri nods, shakily holding the E-11 with both hands on the grip. Kuvasz quickly corrected that by placing her non-dominant hand below the barrel where it should be. “On your own time, fire.”

“Alright.” Misri stiffens up, ineffectually holding the sight upwards to where her eyes should be. With a squeeze of the trigger, the bright red bolt shoots right across the bay. All it does is add to the scorch marks right behind the can. “… I missed, didn’t I?”

“Well, you’re consistent, that’s one thing we can ask of you,” says Kuvasz. Misri pouts deeply, checking over the E-11.

The past week or so has been spent in hyperspace, travelling from the Outer Rim to Kuat in the Mid-Rim. Things might have gone a little faster had you not gotten a bit paranoid about what happened back at Smuggler’s Haven. It wasn’t like when you were twenty back at Flight School. It wasn’t like when the Rebels were little more than scattered cells, and the most you might have had to fear were old Z-95s or V-19s or even stolen TIE Fighters. But now it was bigger than that. They were growing, they were organized, and they were everywhere. From the sympathizers in the Imperial Senate, to no-name criminals out in the Outer Rim, everybody you could see were probably a rebel.

[1/?]
>>
>>43856268
[2/?]

And you didn’t blame them. The Empire does do some monumentally stupid things after all. But this was different. These Rebels were growing bigger and bigger. For every one Rebel you killed or imprisoned, ten more would pop up in his place. Every planet that got the Base Delta Zero, another planet would spring up in unrest. You noticed it in your travels through the past several years. And it was one of the few things that frightened you. The anarchy of it, it was coming.

Still, it was a long ways away, and hopefully you’ll be nice and retired with some nice splendid girls hanging off you on a farm on Dantooine or something before it actually affects you. “Rhys.” Misri looks over at you. “What do you think?”

“Well, you’re somewhat blind and not really blind at the same time, I’m not sure what advice to give.” You shrug. You can hear Sparks chittering behind you, popping his head unit up. Over the past week, Misri had made extensive modifications to his body and his construction. His old fuel slug propulsion was now replaced by good old TIE hardware, the blaster cannons were restored, new blaster cannons were being installed for his now functioning walker mode, and Misri even made plans to have some sort of riding harness be put behind his head. Over your dead body, that thing’s a walking nightmare.

And that walking nightmare apparently insisted on having your R-22’s paintjob. To Misri’s credit, she painted it herself, and left you to her work. Hopefully she’ll pay you back the 12 or so k credits that you spent on those parts. “Look,” says Kuvasz. “Firing a blaster isn’t so much about seeing the target. It’s about feeling.”

Misri looks up at him, quirking her brow. “What, like a Jedi?”
>>
>>43856275
[3/?]

“… a little bit, yes,” he mutters. “But, when I say feeling, I mean more reflex. Just try not to think about it too hard. You think too hard, your aim wavers. You have to let your arms naturally guide the blaster to its target, and you have to just let go. Is that good enough to understand?”

You raise your hand. “Are we going to be quizzed on this, Professor Skirata?” Sparks laughs, nudging his head towards you. You look towards, then sigh and walk over. You slap him on the head, and he cheers in his droidspeak language.

“Yes, there’ll be a pop quiz on it. It’s called people trying to kill you,” he says. Fair enough.

Vikker opens the door, then leans in the doorway. “We’re five minutes from Kuat.” You nod. “What did Lotte want from us anyway?”

“She didn’t say.” You walk over to the door, then wave your hand to get everyone’s attention. “Right, listen up guys. Vikker, Kuvasz. I just want to say, welcome to the crew. I don’t normally work with a team so… large as this. But, I’m glad to have you two. Vikker, you especially.” His tusks click with pride, as he puffs out his chest and folds his arms. “You’re like the father I never wanted.” He stares at you, his chest slowly deflating. “Kuvasz. You’re like the grandpa that always comes uninvited to parties and yet brings some of the best stuff too. I like that too.” Kuvasz shrugs. “And Misri. I like you, Misri.”

Misri tilts her head. “Get on with it. Are you telling us to not embarrass you in front of Lotte? What is she, like your old girlfriend?”

You shake your head. “We were classmates. And it is important that you lot not embarrass me. We are on Imperial turf. This isn’t Coruscant where you’re fresh off the ship and you can just blend into the Undercity. This is Kuat, prime Imperial territory, home of KDY, Sienar Fleet Systems, Cygnus Spaceworks, it’s a really big deal is what I’m saying.” You place your hands on your hips. “So please, just… try to be on your best behavior. Okay?”

Everyone stares at you.

Ugh, maybe you should just leave them on the ship. “Sir.” Lev calls you over the intercom. “We are approaching Kuat now. Lotte is requesting your presence over comms.” All of you walk out of the cargo bay, and step right into the cockpit.

“Whoa.” Misri pushes past all of you, and leans right over the dashboard. “What the hell is that!?” You squint, looking upon what she sees. Kuvasz and Vikker appear to be in awe as well, Vikker curiously clicking his tusks.

“It’s bigger than any Star Destroyer I’ve seen,” you say. You pat Misri on the shoulder. “Rebels should start counting their days once that gets finished.” You smile, sitting down on the pilot’s seat.

“Rhys!” You were allowed to land in one of Kuat’s premier industrial sectors. This was home to many factories and assembly lines that pump out TIE Fighters in the thousands. Despite this, the ground below your little space port was surprisingly lush and green. It was as if this industry was brand new rather than having existed since the Old Republic. Lotte met you, dressed in her finest Imperial Officer’s uniform, with a small shoulder cape to boot as well. That was new. Her normally messy long hair was straightened out a little as well, still curly but much more orderly.

Something was up. You and your crew stepped down the boarding ramp to meet her, her Stormtrooper contingent, and a silver protocol droid. “Lotte.” You walk up to her, and before you can do anything, she immediately hugs you tight. “Oh.” She pulls back, grinning happily, excitedly. Then she punches you on the arm hard. “Ow! What the hell!? I’m still recovering you know!”

“Ah you’re fine!” she boasts. “What are ya, some TIE Bomber puss?” She smirks, then looks past you at your infinitely curious and confused crew. “These your Merry Men?”

You nod. “Yeah. You know uh… Kuvasz.” She nods. Kuvasz walks up and shakes Lotte’s hand. “And Vikker too.” Vikker nods, keeping back a little. “Lev and R5.” Lev and R5 are busy sending down the cargo elevator for Sparks. “And this is Misri.” Misri is busy staring at a factory. You quickly grab her shoulder and push her forward. “And this is Misri.”

“Hey-!” Misri stops when she realizes she’s right in Lotte’s face. “… you!” She grins, holding out her hand. Lotte shakes it, her smile dropping instantly. Her face is now covered with contempt for Misri. “… nice to meet you?”

Lotte crosses her arms. “So you can see me?” she asks.

Misri cocks her head. “Um. Yeah?” You gently place your face into your hand. Misri is wearing the welding goggles on top of those eyewrappings. She can’t see her. She shouldn’t be able to see her. “Why?”

“Just asking,” she says. Lotte smiles to you. “Anyway, we’ll have to get her in something nicer than… this.” Misri is still wearing a jumpsuit, with the top wrapped around her waist, and a stained tank top as well. “This makes you look like you came fresh out of lower Corulag. And I would get rid of these welding goggles too and that hair… hm.” Lotte scratches her chin, then grabs Misri’s arm. Misri stands there, stiff, a little frightened. “Hm. Strong arms. Do you race?”

“Swoop race?” Lotte nods. “Oh, yeah!” Misri grins, relaxing immediately. “I mean, I brought my Starhawk out here and I uh… yeah, I used to race a lot before I joined up with this guy right here and er… yeah.” Misri slowly retires into a shell, twiddling her fingers.

Lotte smirks. “Well, Rhys. Interesting girl you have traveling with you. A Mandalorian and an Aqualish I can understand but…” She shrugs. “I can forgive it. How about we discuss your newest job over lunch?” Lotte turns her eyes towards Misri. “Just the two of us.”

I thought the Tie Fighter was equipped with Laser cannons, not blaster cannons?

Aren't Laser Cannons more powerful?

You cross your arms. “Hey, I don’t think I’ve properly shown you my Spearhead.” She rolls her eyes. “Not that Spearhead, my newest fighter. I turned the Barloz into a proper fighter carrier. Even bought myself a Vulture to act as a wingman, and Kuvasz here pilots an H-Wing as well. It’s a nasty surprise for most rebels. Sure you don’t want to see?”

She sighs. “I suppose if it will satisfy you. And if I can get you alone for a few minutes.” You smirk. “To talk about why I need you.” You smirk even wider. “To do something for me. Why are you so gutterminded?” She pushes past you, giving a smug grin. “Honestly, the nerve! That’s what I like about you!” She steps past you, motioning for her Stormtroopers to stand guard. “Lev!” TA-11 steps back from the cargo elevator, then walks over to Lotte. “Lev, it’s good to see you again. How has Rhys been treating my most favorite Tactical Droid in the galaxy?”

“Mistress. Things are operating at 100% efficiency as usual for my postings.” Lotte’s protocol droid steps up to him, and he swivels his head to it. “Do I know you?”

“Hello, Lev.” The protocol droid seems to have feminine programming. “Remember me? I remember you very specifically and I am most happy that you have-”

“Go away,” says Lev. The protocol droid hesitates, then sadly turns around and leaves. “What were we discussing?”

Lotte sighs, placing her hands on her hips. “We were discussing how things were. They seem relatively well and…” Her eyes turn to Sparks. “What have you done to that Vulture?” Lev shakes his head, absolving himself of guilt. She looks at you, then you point at Misri. Misri is busy trying to make one of the Stormtroopers move or flinch, by clapping her hands in his ears or waving her hands over his visor. They stand still cold as statues. “I see.” She looks over at Vikker, then Kuvasz. “Wait for me and Rhys, will you?” They nod, waving their hands. “Well, show me.”

You slap the hull of the R-22, grinning. “It’s no V-Wing, I’ll tell you that. And it’s no TIE Fighter either. But I love this thing. It’s fast, it’s nimble. Armament’s good too, it’ll do more than 115 megalights. It’s an older model of A-Wing, and I know you guys have been facing the new RZ-1s, but well, I love it.”

Lotte nods, sitting on it, her boots resting on one of the cannons. “Shields too?” You nod. “Interesting. I never thought you’d sink so low.”

“Shields are not cowardly, I’ve told you this time and time again,” you say. You step up and sit down next to her. “The TIE Fighter is an amazing craft. There’s not a day goes by that I miss getting to fly it. But even you have to admit that thing was a complete deathtrap.”

“But it was our deathtrap,” she says, a little saddened by your intelligence. “Alas, it appears all those years of finding yourself in the Galaxy has made you out to be a coward,” she mutters. You glare at her, narrowing your eyes. But the smirk she has on her face and the smug look in her eyes says that she’s joking. “I like the R-22, I will be honest about that.”

“Well, they make two-seat versions of this but…” You rub the hull, planting your tongue in your cheek. “You’re free to sit on my lap if you want, I take you for a ride.”

“There’s probably plenty of space for me between your legs, Rhys.” You roll your eyes. “Can we get on about why you’re here?” You nod. Alright, might as well. She reaches into her coat, and pulls out her personal holopad. “Nobody else on this ship except us, right?” You nod. “Good. Here’s the deal. Cygnus SW and Sienar Fleet have been competing for new contracts from the Imperial military. The production contract for the old TIE Bomber is about to expire, and the Military has the option to either renew it, or go for a new mainline bomber. Sienar wants the old TIE Bomber to continue production, and they want you to make sure it stays that way.”
>>
>>43856947
[3/3]

You lean back, frowning. “They want me to keep that old piece of crud in production? Why?”

“Credits,” says Lotte. “They asked me specifically to enlist someone who wouldn’t draw so much attention. They seem to like my…” She thumps her chest, proud. “Idea of hiring privateers to do my dirty work. But I digress. Tonight there will be a gala, honoring the newest mass production interceptor from Sienar Fleet.” Oh? You’ve heard only rumors about the new Interceptors. You haven’t actually seen one in person. “Russ will be there, a few colleagues as well from the old Academy. Captain Jir from the 501st Stormtrooper Battalion as well has been invited, many dignitaries from the Imperial nobility… a few engineers from Cygnus. One of whom always carries a holopad containing the information of all projects on it.”

You nod. Okay, starting to sound simple. “You want me to steal that holopad during the gala?”

“Correct. Steal it, bring it to me. Simple,” she says. She pulls up her holopad and flips out a holodisk, handing it to you. “Details are on that disk. Any questions?”

“Will-“

“I will be wearing my dress uniform,” she says simply. “Any OTHER questions?”

You shake your head. “Not right now. I’ll study over the details later I guess.”

“One more thing though. Your crew of course is invited,” she says. “… please don’t embarrass me.”

In regards to Misri; couldn't we have her wear fake cyber-eye covers in public?
Cybernetics are advanced enough to replace organs and limbs, it's just that people prefer to use bacta and regrow parts when they can. So we just say that Misri has a medical condition that prevented her from getting bacta-grown eyes, we do a quick lookup on medical conditions that would cause something like that, and have her wear the fake cyber-eyes when in public.

“I’m embarrassment enough, now what exactly is in it for me?” you ask.

She says, “50,000 credits. Plus unlimited access to KDY’s shipyards where you may buy new parts and new ships at your choosing. All of Imperial flavor, and nothing of the Rebellion. If you’re wondering, no, we have nothing illegal here.” You cross your arms. “Unless you want something illegal, in which case just shove off back to Smuggler’s Haven.”

“Fair enough,” you say.

“But you must deliver it to me at the gala when you get it. No pussyfooting about.” She steps off your ship, smiling. “Of course, that means you must mingle with the crowd. I know you hated having to talk with others back at Flight School, we all did. But this is now, that was then. So try and have some fun too.”

You hold up your hand. “And what exactly is Cygnus developing anyway? I thought that Assault Gunboat was a failure.” The Assault Gunboat you’re referring to is the Xg-1 Star Wing. It was designed to supplement TIE Fighters and act as a long range interceptor, but lacked the firepower and the agility to go toe-to-toe with the X-Wing or the A-Wings the Rebels are now deploying. Nowadays it’s mostly relegated to Outer Rim patrols.

Lotte holds up her holopad, showing you an image. “This.” You squint. Sort of looks like an Assault Gunboat without the central wing, and what appear to be missile racks too. “Preemptively, it’s called the Missile Boat. Sienar Fleet System picked up some schematics after they hired an infiltrator to dig up some dirt on Cygnus. Could probably wipe out an entire squadron of X-Wings, and even destroy entire flotillas with its payload.”

You squint. “Let me get this straight. Sienar Fleet Systems, the corporation that got me thrown out of Flight School when I was being perfectly honest about the flaws of the TIE Fighter, is trying to bury an obviously superior alternative to the TIE Bomber just so they can make more credits off of contracts?”

Lotte smiles. “Isn’t the Empire grand?” She snaps her fingers. “Get this done. I will meet you at the gala tonight. Bring a date or something. Your crew seem quite funny to be around!” She pats your arm. “And please, set aside your hate for Sienar, just this once. It’s a lot of money.”

“I’ll be there,” you say. She nods. “But you owe more than credits after this, Lotte.”

She cocks her head, quirking her brow. “Oh, like what?” You press your lips together. Those pants she wears seem practically painted on. Hmph.

“We’ll see,” you say.

“Anyway. Tell no one else of this. Far as they know, they are simply going to a gala with you, with all of you as my honored guests.” She clicks her heels and turns around. “I will take your girlfriend and get her dressed up. Kuvasz, Vikker, and Lev are your responsibility.” And with that, she drops down the cargo elevator down into the space port, leaving you alone.

“R5,” you call. “Did you get all that?”

He rolls out from behind some crates. “Loud and clear. I assume I will not be attending the festivities?” You shrug. “Well, it’s not like I wanted wine and ale poured all over me. I cannot enjoy those vices like you can. Though I would like to see if a servant is stupid enough to offer me something. Regardless, I will remain here and watch the ship, sir. However, if you don’t mind me asking, how you present yourself at the gala?”

R5 whirs. “Sir, if I had eyes like yours, I’d turn them into wheels so I can continuously roll them.” You scoff. “Regardless, you have very little formal clothing.” You wave him of. Showing up as you are is going to be your game. “Your crew consists of a Tactical Droid who couldn’t command his way out of a hole with a shovel and a ladder, a Mandalorian who has one foot in a grave, and an Aqualish. Not to mention Misri and Sparks.”

“Look, R5.” You mash your hand through your hair, clicking your teeth. “You underestimate my charisma. You’ll see. I’ll be the life of the party!”

-

-

After a quick lunch and a quick servicing of the vehicles, you, Lev, Vikker, and Kuvasz got to making yourselves look presentable. Lev was already cleaned up after a nice hot oil bath and a polish from R5. But Vikker and Kuvasz had more difficult issues because they like you, they only had one or two outfits and neither are particular made for galas. “Kuvasz. I don’t think your armor is uh…”

“This armor has been in my family since the Sacking of Coruscant,” he says as he pulls on his helmet. “Plus, I don’t have anything else to wear. So… this is basically the most I can muster, I apologize.” Whatever.

Vikker shrugs. “I’ll just tell them that what I’m wearing is formal. They’re not going to know the difference.” Also a good excuse. “Going as you are though?”

“Yeah,” you say. You zip up your jacket, smirking. “Why fix what isn’t broken?” The four of you walk down the road towards the mansion. Bright lights all over it, windows glowing with party lights, and faint classical music was playing in the distance. “There it is, boys.” You step up to the gate, which is guarded by KDY Security forces.

“Halt-“ A loud step erupts from behind you. They all look up to see Sparks standing over you. “… is this droid with you?” he asks. You nod. “Very well.” He looks at his holopad. “Rhys Cykgil, TA-11, Kuvasz Skirata, Vikker Lokol.” They step aside. “Come on in.” All of you step inside. Sparks cackles mechanically, chirping at the guards, threatening to near crush them with his legs.

“Sparks, down boy!” you command. He chitters, hobbling back over to you. All eyes are immediately on you as you step the through the mansion doors. Women are dressed in fine sparkling dresses and regalia. Men are dressed in their dull but splendid uniforms. But they all look at you, even the music skips a beat when you step inside. The mansion rumbles a bit as Sparks bumps his head trying to squeeze in.

You whistle a little, shoving your hands in your pockets. You grab a wineglass from a random partygoer and look around. “Thank you,” you say quickly. She gasps, indignant at your theft, but not brave enough to call you out.

Vikker leans over to you, noticing the party has slowed a little. “Life of the party, huh?” You shrug. Whatever.

Oh, sorry I was reading the legend's page not the canon page. So we can upgrade the Re-22 to a A wing.
>>
>>43858349
I get it.. sort of. But it really looks like if Kuat is making the damn A-wing that if you just fucked over these guys the empire could be fielding slightly smaller hordes of A-wings.
>>

I'm starting to think Lotte is actually a rebel spy.
>>

I don't understand.

Besides German is kind of basing this on some convoluted time line of Rebels. But A-wings are already in production and being used by the Rebels.
>>
> Do what Lotte said, mingle. There looks to be a group of pilots who seem secluded. Your type of people.

“Go ahead and split off. Come find me later, alright?”

Kuvasz nods. “If anyone wants to, I will regale them of tales of my time in Death Watch. Perhaps I will also show them feats of marksmanship as well.” He grabs Vikker and picks him up.

“Whoa! What the hell!? Put me down!” yells Vikker.

“Come, I see a group of ladies who’d love to see me bench press you,” he says. Vikker continues to yell at Kuvasz as they disappear into the crowd.

You look over at Lev and Sparks. Lev commands Sparks. “Sparks, remain at the door. Your duty is to guard the master in case of potential assassination attempts. Please also prioritize Mistress Lotte Ulgo and Mistress Misri Beryl. Failure will result in you no longer having a master.” Sparks whirs sadly, hanging his head low. “Yes, there is an extreme failure, and that is when I become your master. Now stay here.” Sparks whines, nudging his head against Lev. “Stop that. I am not your mother.” Sparks continues whining, chirping. “You are not a bird. Stop that.”

You roll your eyes, taking a sip of wine and stepping down the stairs. You see a group of boys and girls in black. TIE Pilots. You gently scoot your way into the group. “Well, hello, hello, if it isn’t my most favorite type of people in the world. TIE Pilots.” You squint. “… and Russ Qel-Dorn.”

Russ sneers at you. “I recognized your scent when you walked in, Rhys.”

“Rhys.” You look to your left, and find a hand being offered to you. “It’s me, Pil Delrusa. You look like crawled out of a trash compactor, ha!” You shake his hand, smiling. Pil was always nice back at the Academy you guess. “Me and Russ were just regaling the cadets here about our new transfer.”

[1/2]
>>
>>43858498
“The 181st,” says Russ. “They seem it fit to transfer us to some no name squadron in some no name system to some no name Commander. What a deplorable assignment for someone of my skills.” He grins, hooking his thumb onto his belt. “But, tonight. I have been given the honor by Sienar Fleet Systems to give the new TIE Interceptor its maiden voyage. Short flyover but a grand and glorious one.”

You nod, slowly. “Considering how often you crashed into asteroids, Russ. A short flyover might still be dangerous.” Pil snickers, patting your shoulder. Russ however, fumes, glaring at you. “How are you doing, Pil?”

“Been babying Russ past few years,” he says. “We got stuck together on Coruscant guard, now they’re transferring us out to the Outer Rim to the One-Eight-Worst. I don’t mind it, I hear things are pretty lax out there, won’t see much action anyway.” He takes a deep sigh. “And that’s just how I love it.”

“Shame, Pil,” growls Russ. “You don’t see the assignment as a total disrespect to you?”

“If anything, it’s a chance to catch up on all my reading I missed. I hear Syndulla published a new treatise on Democracy a little whiles back but I must have missed it in all of the excitement.” Russ throws his hand around dismissively.

“Syndulla?” you ask. “That’s a Rebel author. You’re not defecting are you?”

He shrugs. “Defecting? No. Getting to know the enemy? Yes.” He pats your arm. “Shame about you though, Rhys. You, me, maybe even Lotte and Russ here, we could take on the Rebellion ourselves. Be home by Life Day.”

One of the cadets raises her hands, meekly. “Um, s-sir. Rhys Cykgil?” You nod to her. “The inventor of the Beam Defense Position?”

You smirk. “One and only.” Might as well give yourself a pat on the back. “If you want, I can give you a short rundown of it.”

“I have had enough blabbering from you, Rhys,” says Russ. “Why exactly are you here?”

You hold out your arms, smiling. “Russ, Russ, Russ. Why can’t I catch up with my most favorite people and you?” He tilts his head, clearly not happy with you. “Besides you of course, there’s also cuties like this one here.” You pull the cadet who asked about towards you. She blushes deeply, apparently quite taken by you. Pil continues snickering, muttering something about “Rhys being Rhys”. You smirk at Russ. “I’m not here for you, I’m here for them too.”

She blinks, looking away. “Mister Cykgil, I’m flattered.” All the other cadets smiling, apparently taken by your rogue-ish charms. That or they’re drunk.

“Away with you, cadets!” You blink. The cadets immediately disperse, the one girl waving goodbye to you reluctantly as you turn around. Lotte comes to join the party, her hands resting upon her hips, her pants replaced by a lovely little dress skirt and dark nylons, and Misri.

By God. Misri pulls on her black dress a little, a slight blush to her cheeks, her wrappings covered up by her goggles. “Erm. How’s the dress?” she asks. “Am I showing anything?”

Pil mutters, “What isn’t showing?” You nudge him, and he immediately shuts up. “You gonna introduce me?” he asks.

“Pil.” Lotte crosses her arms. “It’s nice to see you, Rhys, and Russ enjoying yourselves. I was worried that a fight might break out.”

“We’re civilized gentlemen,” you say. “We settle our issues with words.”

“The words you use, I’m surprised you know what civilized means,” she spits back. “Rhys. Come on, we should talk.” You nod, walking with Lotte. You look back to see Pil wrapping her arm around Misri and directing her to a wine table. And with that, Russ is left all on his own, and he angrily storms off to be on his own some more. Eh, serves him right. “Engineer is here tonight.”

“Is he?” you ask. She directs you to the grand backyard of the mansion, where even more partygoers are settled. She points ahead to a Quarren, apparently unsuccessfully trying to mingle with the more human guests of the gala. “The engineer is a Quarren?”

“Yes,” she says. “Go up to him, steal his holopad, come back to me. Simple.”

You nod. Alright. Might as well get this over with.

As you make the walk over to him, you take a look through the crowd on the lawn. You actually spy Kuvasz having the time of his life with some Stormtrooper Officers. “… and so I tell the pigfaced bastard, ‘eat this’. And I shove the grenade down his gullet.” The Officers all laugh, genuinely. They aren’t drunk! “The Gamorrean lets go of me, choking on it. He keels over, kneeling down. And boom!” Kuvasz throws up his hands. The Officers all cheer, clapping and laughing. One even slaps Kuvasz on the back for a job well done. “And let me tell you, getting Gamorrean off the walls and off your armor requires a few days of work. There were enough chunks to feed a family!”

“Hey, hey! Tell us another story!” says one of the Officers. They all nod, agreeing.

“Okay, okay…” Kuvasz rubs at his helmet. “Here’s one. So I’m sitting at a bar in Corellia, and this Twi’lek with legs from here to Coruscant walks in…” They whistle a little. That should be interesting. Too bad you’re not part of that.

You grab the Quarren’s shoulder, surprising him. “Hey, buddy. Lonely?”

He squints at you, his face tentacles rubbing at each other. You have to hide your disgust. Quarren on holos looked ugly, you never thought you’d meet one up close. “What’s it to you?”

You shrug. “Hey, I just saw you strike out with one of the Twi’lek servants.” He growls, scoffing at you. “Look, I get rejected by Zeltron on a regular basis.” He looks at you, shocked. “Name’s Rhys Cykgil.”

He grunts, shaking your hand with his slobbery and greasy hand as well. “Gunter Terrelzin. I work with Cygnus.”

“So I hear.” You grab a bottle of wine from the table next to you two and snap it open. “How about you and me have a drink. I happen to be something of a starship connoisseur myself. And it’d be a privilege I think to talk to one of the premier engineers of Cygnus Spaceworks.”

[1/2]

[2/2]

“Hmph, you’re just buttering me up…” He takes a sip of the wine you pour for him. He pauses in reflection. “Hm. Got anymore of that?” You pour a bit more in. He takes a hearty chug this time, draining the petite little glass dry. “Whoo. That’s good wine. Who did you say you were?” he asks.

“Russ Qel-Dorn,” you say quickly. “But anyway. Let’s talk Gunter.” You take a sip of the wine from your own glass. Weak.

-

-

He groans, the two of you sitting around one of the tables set out on the lawn. You have to admit, you’re getting very buzzed. But nothing a trip to the refresher can’t handle. You can definitely fly a ship in your state that’s for sure. But as for Gunter? “Gaaagghh…” He collapses facefirst onto the table. You poke him, unconscious. Finally. He would not shut up about Quarren-Mon Cala relations. You could care less about what a bunch of fish in a fish bowl do with each other. With quick hands, you grab the holopad from his hands. You quickly check it over. The schematics, the details of the Missile Boat, the planned production date, everything is on here. Man, Cygnus is really slipping up.

Well, time to find Lotte then. You stand up and start walking back to the mansion. “Rhys.” You stop, then turn around. An unfamiliar looking man in an Imperial Officer’s uniform steps up to you. “Rhys Cykgil.” You place the holopad in your jacket, careful not to let him see it. “I noticed you stole that holopad.” You hiss quietly, cringing. Damn it, you slipped up. “Don’t worry, I won’t say a word.”

“Who are you?” you ask.

“I’m no one,” he says. “But I am the man who will pay you triple your fee for that holopad.” You blink, then notice a strange tattoo beneath his collar.

You recognize that tattoo. Zann Consortium. He’s one of Zann’s Defilers. “Give me the holopad. I will give you a fake one with bogus details to present to Ulgo. The Defiler grunts. “Every man has his price. We’ll find yours.” He steps past you. You blink, turning around. He’s already gone. Wow, you wish you could do that. It’d be great. You hold up the holopad, doesn’t appear to have been tampered with. Alright. You step back towards the mansion.

-

-

You meet with Lotte alone on a balcony overlooking the great back lawn. Fountains of water shoot up into the sky, sparkling in the night sky. But overshadowing everything are the great Shipyards of Kuat, a great big ring of industry. Some beauty to it you have to admit. “Hm…” She turns off the holopad, then shoves it into her breast pocket. “You are quite the productive worker, Rhys. I’ll have Lev shovel the money your way when I can.”

“Thanks.” You lean on the railing. She too leans forward on it, staring up at the stars. “Credit for your thoughts?”

She shrugs. “As much as I love lording over some no name sector like the Centrality, I do…” She sighs, frowning. “I do kind of feel terrible that I didn’t get to graduate as a TIE Pilot.” You nod, looking down at the floor. What do you say to that then? “Pil’s a good boy, as much as he tried to get into Misri’s skirt and failed tonight, he’s a great boy.” She narrows her eyes. “Perhaps too good.”

You scowl a little. “You think he’ll defect.”

“Most likely, but I’m not going to do anything about it. The Rebellion is not just a group. It’s an idea. It’s why Mandalorians keep popping up despite how self-destructive they are. They’re an idea. Ideas don’t die.” She sighs. “Ideas are… they make me sick.”

“Is this about your parents?” you ask.

“I told you, I don’t like to talk about home,” she growls. You nod, fair enough. “I have my parents who disowned me because I wanted a little order and excitement in my life. You have your… whatever it is. I won’t pry if you don’t pry.”

“Fair enough.” You push off the railing, and step closer to her. “You know, Lotte. You know my feelings about Sienar, about what they’ve done, what they’re doing now. I only did this for money and because of you.” She looks at you, surprised at that. “You and me were great friends back at Flight School.”

“We were,” she says. “You know…” She blushes a little, coughing a bit. “I do have to admit, back at the Academy, I did fancy you a bit.” What? “But now… well, I’ve grown up. I mean, looking at you now, Rhys. There’s a reason I brought you back into the Imperial fold. Even if you’re nothing more than a legitimatized pirate, you’re still in the Empire! You’re in the fold, things are orderly, we bring law to the lawless.” She frowns heavily. “Seeing you arrive at the Centrality as disheveled and beat up as you were, it was heartbreaking.”

“What are you saying?” You cross your arms.

She sighs. “I don’t know.” She wipes her mouth a bit, grumbling. “Probably drank too much of that wine.” She turns on her side, looking at you directly. “Rhys. Your talent, your skill is being wasted. I want you to re-enlist.” You look down again, placing your hands on your hips, grimacing at the thought of it. “I can pull some strings, I know a man on the Vensenor, we can-“

“Lotte. I am far past that point,” you say. “I will not re-enlist.”

The standard TIE Fighter first, then the TIE Scout, and the TIE Bomber. Then newer experimental models, the TIE Aggressor, the TIE Oppressor Strike Fighter. And in a spotlight all of its own was Darth Vader’s own TIE Advanced. She looks at you. “I know you love the TIE Fighter, Rhys. You long to fly it again.”

>>
>>43860735

If we're going by routes, I'd actually prefer the mandalorian ojou.
>>

>>43860592
>> “Well, Pil will be happy you called on him.”
>> “I see what you’re doing. And it’s not going to work.”
>>
>>43860849
That is a good thing to tell her about.
>>
>>43860863
Ojou is okay, German likes making cute girls so it's hard to close routes.

But in all honestly, what will Rhys do in this situation?

I mean he doesn't want to return to the Empire but also he's a fighter jock to the core. Not to mention he is in a Love/Hate relationship with the TIE, so in my mind this is one of the harder decisions he is making.
>>
>>43860919
Rhys's original goal was glory as an Imperial ace. Then two things happened:
>He realized TIEs were shit
>He got kicked out
Now he's realigned himself to make a lot of cash and hopefully retire. He's not been in the market for Imperial glory for a long time.
>>
>>43860919

Well yea but in this case we're also getting access to KYD's entire list of TIEs with this contract. Plus 50k credits. I think that will sate his hungry for flying TIEs. Especially since we can afford to get a higher end model.
>>
>>43860919
I'd see him as struggling hard against the temptation yet knowing if he piloted it he'd probably find himself sliding back into the fold, and thus won't cross that line. Like how many retired soldiers have the reenlistment dream, but would never actually go back despite loving parts of their service.
>>
>>43860975
If not TIEs, then TIE parts.
>>
>>43860975
We might even be able to get something better. A TIE Avenger.
>>
>>43860966
Besides, he now has a souped-up R-22 to scratch his pilot itch.
>>
>>43861021

Well we still have space for TIEs. Especially if we go about the route of using the escape pod bays to dock TIEs (hopefully shielded ones). We can get one for Misri.
>>
>>43860966
This is true and while the TIE interceptor is sexy, it's just a TIE that will die faster, shit armor and no shields.

>>43860975
Probably TIE parts. Like I mentioned before KYD is expensive as shit. Would like to look around though but most likely we're going to our favorite hungry scavenger.

>>43860980
I can see that, but Lotte does make it tempting.
>>
>>43861074
That would require teaching Misri to fly a TIE.
>>
>>43861074
Misri is too good for TIEs. I kind of want her to be our gunner for the RE-22 two seater.

However, I do like the Old Republic designs though.
>>
> “Well, Pil will be happy you called on him.”

It crushes you inside. You actually do want to fly that Interceptor. You want to take it as far into orbit as you can. You want to have the Twin Ion Engines scream behind you, like the Shriek Hawks of Mandalore. In your fingers, the controls would be tightly gripped, your feet would push against the pedals. You’d be sucking down recycled air from the life support system of your suit. In your body, your bones and your organs would buckle and shift around from the imperfect inertia dampening system.

But up there, you’d be up there. You’d be free. The only thing deciding your fate would be you. With the sky around you, with the engines roaring, and with space unfolding above you, it would be heaven. It’d be like being pushed by angels.

But you can’t.

“Pil would love to fly that thing, Lotte.” You sigh deeply, your entire body cringing at the thought of passing this up, perhaps this only opportunity to fly a TIE of any series ever again. “He’s always talked about how much he loved flying the TIE Fighter. He may have been only Seventh, but that’s because he never learned to prioritize targets correctly. He’s probably the best damn pilot behind you and me. Give him a chance.”

[1/2]

>>43861122

>>43861125

A souped up one. With shields and all that bling.
>>

Lotte’s characteristic smile is dashed completely. “I’ll let him know,” she croaks. She steps up to you, then immediately punches you in the side.

“Ah!” You buckle over, holding up your hand. “Goddamn it, Lotte-“

She points down to you. “I’m not giving up on you. Just because you gave up doesn’t mean I have to.” She leans down towards you. “So what if the TIE Fighter is a terrible fighter. I know deep down you love. It lights your heart up. It makes you feel like you’re free. It’s hard, I know. But we’re a special breed you and I. We’re pilots, hard is all we know.” She gently pats you cheek, smiling. “Get out of here, go enjoy yourself.”

You nod, pulling yourself up. “By the way. There was a Zann Consortium Defiler on your grounds. He tried bribing me for the holopad.” She nods, businesslike. “I hope you’ll do something.”

“I’ll have guards look for him. He’s probably disguised as an Officer. We have lots of them here,” she says. “Now get out of here.” You nod. You take one look back at her, seeing her stare at the night sky.

You sigh. Women.

“Ladies and gentlemen! We are gathered today to celebrate a new age in Sienar Fleet Systems engineering!” The SFS Spokesman’s voice bellows over the loudspeakers. “For years, SFS has defended the Empire, from the Core all the way to the Outer Rim, with products such as these. From your standard line TIE Fighter, to the indomitable TIE Bomber, and to the far reaching TIE Scout, we are now in a new age. The age of speed! The Rebel’s X-Wings and Y-Wings used to fear the TIE Fighter and the roar of its engines, but now no longer! Now they must fear it’s newest successor!” The spotlights shine upon the TIE Interceptor, with Pil Delrusa standing beside it. Russ apparently seems to be unavailable, just as Lotte said. “The TIE Interceptor! Proving that might makes right, the Interceptor will chase those Rebels to the farthest reaches, and turn them all into nothing more than dust in solar winds! Take her away, Lieutenant!”

Pil climbs in. With a few presses of buttons and some adjusting of the seat, the Interceptor shrieks to life. Everyone covers their ears as the TIE roars all across Kuat. He blasts upwards, in a tight aileron spin. Fireworks pop and burst around him as he pitches back level, and is accompanied by a flight of TIE Fighters and a flyover of an Imperial Star Destroyer.

What a way to make a maiden voyage.

-

You take a look at the holoplaque, giving off mostly propagandized information about each fighter. What interested you most were the new ones. The TIE Aggressor, still no shields, but certainly was more versatile. You could use it any role, but that will probably be its undoing. But the Oppressor, what ship this is. Part of the Imperial Defender program, the Oppressor is the first step in building an advanced Fighter/Bomber for only the most elite pilots. You smile, shields yes but hyperdrive no. Still a step in the right direction you suppose.

[1/2]
>>
>>43861804
[2/2]

But what really caught your attention was Darth Vader’s own TIE Advanced. Using this against the Rebels was just plain cheating. Shields, hyperdrive, warhead launchers. Was a bit slower but over all, it was a much more well-rounded fighter. The plaque below it even says SFS is planning on a limited production run of the Advanced, called the Avenger. You might have to look out for that.

And speaking of looking out, you turn your head to see Misri at the refreshment’s table. She’s busily gobbling down well-cooked and finely prepared food like it was her first supper in months. Some partygoers seem disgusted by her manners, others seem aroused. You walk up to her, and when she realizes she’s standing next to you, she stops eating and looks up at you. There’s food all over her nice dress too, and all over her face. “…” She holds out some food to you. “Want some?” she asks. You shake your head. She frowns a little. “Are you okay?”

“What?” you ask.

“You seem… distressed,” she says. “Like, what, did you get turned down by someone? Is someone bullying you or something?” she asks.

“I’m fine,” you say. “Enjoying yourself?”

She smiles. “Yeah, look at all of this free food!” She giggles, chewing on some more. But then she looks at you again, and frowns deeply. “There’s something bothering you, isn’t there.”

“Spare me, Misri.” She places her hands on her hips, swaying them from to side to side slowly. You say, “I’m just checking on you. Once the Interceptor comes back, we’ll leave, okay?” She nods.

“A-… are you sure?” She tilts her head. “You can talk to me. I won’t tell anybody else.” She places her hand on her heart. “Promise.”

“Lotte offered me the chance to fly the Interceptor and I turned it down,” you say as quickly as possible. She tilts her head, then looks up at the sky. “I turned it down, I feel bad, okay?”

“I see.” She leans on the table, scooting next to you. “I mean, R-22’s fast like the Interceptor and, you know, maybe there’ll be another time. It’s just a Starfighter.”

You cross your arms. “When I was a kid, I didn’t get to see the sky a lot.” She cocks her head, then looks at you curiously. “Mostly overcast, mostly rain, I was lucky if I even got to see a peek of the damn sun my planet orbited. After the Clone Wars, I got out of there. I spent several months on some crappy freighter’s cargo with a bunch of other refugees. We were living in our filth, we were starving, we were thirsty, we were making each other sick. We were even stealing from each other, that was how bad it got. It was dark then too, didn’t see much else, but I heard a lot.” You sigh deeply. “But when they finally let us out on Corulag, started processing us. I swear, I was almost blinded.” You smile a little. “I got to see a sun. I got to see a sky. I got to see clouds. It was so… foreign to me. I thought I had died, I thought I had reached heaven, but no I was standing there, just looking up. Then over came a flight of V-Wings. Their ion engines screeching nearly tore my ears to bits.”

Misri quietly listens to you, then nods, allowing you to continue.

“… that’s all I got,” you say. “They aren’t Starfighters to me. They’re my ticket to heaven, Misri. I wanted to be one of those guys, one of those guys flying a V-Wing. I wanted to fly, I wanted glory, I wanted to be part of that sky. And it didn’t turn out the way I hoped.” You cross your arms. “… so yeah, didn’t mean to lecture you.”

She gently hugs you from the side, rubbing your back. “It’s okay. I won’t tell anyone else.”

“You can tell anyone else that. That’s most anybody else gets,” you say. She looks up at you again, concerned.

Misri nods. “Hey, you still got a slice of heaven in the back of the Barloz.” She crosses her arms, pulling away and smiling. “Nice speech by the way, tough guy. You almost made me cry.”

You shrug. “I almost made myself cry. That Interceptor looked great.” She nods, understandably. “Look, let’s just get out of here.” She nods, also understandably, but a little saddened as well. Probably going to miss the free food. “Go find Kuvasz and Vikker. I’ll meet you guys at the front door.”

-

-

“Leaving so soon?” You meet with Lotte at the front door. Lev and Sparks stand outside by it, staring around, guarding the entrance. You nod, shoving your hands in your pockets. “Shame. I think Pil would’ve loved to see you off. You two used to be so competitive with each other.”

“Well, tell Pil I’m glad he got to fly it. Hopefully flying that changes his mind about the Rebellion. They don’t have anything like the TIEs,” you say.

She smirks. “Oho, complimenting the TIE series now are we?” You roll your eyes. “It was really great to see you again.” She hugs you, rubbing her cheek against your cheek. She slaps your arm, smiling up at you. “Listen, Rhys. I’ll be around on Kuat for a couple of days, then I’m going to head back to the Centrality. If you need anything from me or want to make like a quick buck, I’ll be here in this mansion.”

“Wait, is this mansion yours?” you ask.

“Pfft, yeah.” She shrugs. “What, I get paid a lot now as a Commander! It means I get dreamhouses like this one!” She waves her arms around, showing off the sheer intense amount of empty space in the mansion.

You sigh. “Thanks.”

Lotte crosses her arms. “By the way, we found your Zann Consortium guy.” You blink, really? “Swallowed a pill before we could interrogate him, turned up dead. But we do know for sure now that the Zann Consortium is part of this. I’d watch out for them, okay?” You nod. “And hey, if you don’t want to leave, you’re free to stay the night here. My door’s always open.” She shrugs a bit, quirking her brow. “We could break open the ale cabinet…” she says in a singsong voice.

On the one hand, this sounds like another attempt to get you to re-enlist.

On the other hand, Lotte is probably the only person in the galaxy with easy access to Mandalorian black ale that isn’t the Furies.

Kuat Drive Yards made the AT walker line and and the Star Destroyer line, and worked with Sienar to market the TIE line of fighters. IT's probably easier to say that, if it was used by the Empire or the Republic, it was made by Kuat.

What this means for us is Clone Wars surplus on the cheap, and Imperial gear at discounted prices.

We need someone to be the turret gunner for our H-wing. and their disposible and plentiful enough to be used for such a task.
>>
>>43863600
Yeah. Can't have everything I suppose. Though there's bound to be a small Cargo Bay, so at least one fighter possible. Perhaps we can order a custom, oversized one when we get the aurelium?

I really hope it doesn't end up being a ruse.
>>
> “Me and my crew would love to stay in the lap of luxury for a little longer.”

You grunt a little, thinking. “Well, me and my crew would like to stay in the lap of luxury a little longer.” Lotte grins, happy with that answer. “Fine, we can stay the night, but no longer. We might as well have a good place to stay to…” You and Lotte look over to see Misri carrying Vikker and Kuvasz. “… sleep off the hangover.”

“I tell you something!” yells Kuvasz, pointing at Vikker on the other side of a very frustrated Misri. “The- the way things work on Mandalore! The weak gotta be strong, and the strong gotta be even stronger! And that’s why you wouldn’t last a mynock minute on there you fat ugly Aquawhateverthefrak!”

Vikker points back at him. “You’re a fossil ya damn dirty… fossil!” Vikker hangs limp, nearly pulling Misri to the ground. “C’mere and I’ll crack ya bones! I once had sex with a Twi’lek that was as fat as you were!”

Kuvasz spits right into his helmet. “That’s disgusting!”

Yep. Drunk.

“Misri,” calls Lotte. “Forget about it. You’re staying the night.” She drops them, loudly exhaling in relief. They all shout and try crawling towards each other. But all that happens is them flailing their arms about while on the floor like babies. “… I’ll have some droids pick them up. But Misri is free to join us in the cellar.” Misri walks over, quirking her brow. “Misri, have you ever had Mandalorian black ale?”

She squints a bit. “Honestly, I don’t really drink at all.”

Lotte places her hand on Misri’s head. “You poor thing.”

For the Empire, it would be Fondor though.

The second executor was built there.
>>
>>43863713
Vikker and Kuvasz had been dragged to guest bedrooms, leaving you, Misri, and Lotte to break open the ale cabinets and start drinking to your heart’s content. The cellar the three of you sat was dimly lit, but already it was blasting the music of the Imperial Military. “Off we go! Into the wild sky yonder, climbing high into the stars!” You and Lotte sing, leaving Misri to awkwardly sit between you two and drink carefully. “Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, at ‘em lads, get a new scar!” Lotte gently elbows Misri as she sings. “Come on, sing along!”

You raise your glass, grinning. “Down we dive, ripping the sky asunder, off with one helluva roar!”

You and Lotte sing loudly now. “We live in fame, or go down in flame! Nothing can stop the Em-pire!”

“Haha!” Lotte claps the table, laughing madly. “I love that song! Only song I remember from Flight School!”

“I hate this song but damn if it ain’t catchy,” you say.

Lotte grins, looking over at Misri. “You know, Missy. Our old Instructor would always have Rhys here stand outside our lecture because he couldn’t remember the lyrics properly everytime we were to sing it in class! You were just the saddest little thing!”

“There is nothing that involves singing when it comes to flying,” you say. You pour yourself and Lotte more black ale. “And this is really coming from you! You say you can sing the praises of Alderaan but you sing like a Quarren sucks!”

“And you!” Lotte points in your face, leaning over the table. “Rhys! You are nothing but scoundrel and a cheat!” The two of you laugh loudly, slapping the table, with Misri quietly sipping on her ale.

You don’t know what time it is. But it is late. Misri has fallen asleep, only having drank two whole glasses. But you and Lotte. Well, she’s taken off her coat, wearing only her blouse and her hat. She carefully slips off her last boot, throwing it across the room. “Ugh…” Lotte grimaces, swaying side to side, drunk. She scratches at her breasts, her eyes twitching. “I think we drank too much.”

You shrug, leaning on the table, finding your vision a bit blurred. “I think we should’ve stopped at the sixth bottle maybe.”

“Maybe,” she says. She looks over at you, then rolls her eyes. “I wasn’t kidding when I said I did fancy you back at the Academy. You were a real class act back then. You were…” She smiles, leaning back in her chair. “I wanted you.”

You smirk. “Well.” You lean across the table towards her. “I’m available.”

She gently presses her fingers on your lips, pushing you back. “Yeah. I may be drunk but I’m not drunk enough to sleep with you.” She smirks, leaning back and throwing her head back to look up at the ceiling. “Maybe if you were still a pilot and I were still that young girl… maybe.”

You nod. “Lotta maybes.” You sigh, then look at her again. Her chest slowly rises and falls, and yet she remains limp. “Lotte?” No response. Hm, properly passed out.

You blink, then slowly rest your head against the table. Too drunk. Can’t make legs move. This hard table will be your pillow.

Thanks for running, boss.

So how expensive is Kurt anyway?

and how much is a B1 Battle Droid or a OOM series droid for our H-Wing?

Thanks for running schteel~

My only regret is that there is no more for a week. You never fail to entertain.

I might run on Sunday if I have time.

Kuat is a very expensive shipyard that normally only exclusively sells to the Imperial Military. You're lucky you get to shop at it at all.

Clone Wars era droids are actually surprisingly expensive depending on their age, variant, and model, and whether or not they still respond to the Shutdown Signal. The B1s and OOM-series droids are already out of production and while at one point there will quintillions of them filling the Galaxy, in the short ten-fifteen year span of time a lot of them have been scrapped.

Anyway, there might be a dedicated droid merchant on Kuat you can visit. They have plenty of droids for sale there. You might find something you like and that Lev hates, which is always a win-win.

>>43863874
You flatter me.

At least it's not Aftermath.
>>
>>43863917
http://pastebin.com/nRnhH0ew

Updated the Pastebin. Feels weird that it is rather little compared to last time.

So while we have quite a bit of cash. What can we actually get at Kurt everything is rather expensive in terms of just ships and our crew can't get something like a star destroyer or even a corvette.
>>
>>43863917

So then whats up for sale from the Shipyard that we might be able to purchase?
>>
>>43863917
What about old clone war era surplus ships? How expensive are those?

And what did Lotte mean by nothing Rebellion? I mean the rebels used surplus clone war stuff and still do in some cells.

Weapons, engine upgrades, ship equipment, astromechs, obsolete and disused fighters. It's mostly old Clone Wars tech that the Empire is happy to get rid of to the right buyers. They might be slightly expensive, little in the 30-40k range depending on what you want.

As for Lotte, she means that you're not going to buy anything the Rebels actually use there, well mostly. No X-Wings, A-Wings, Y-Wings, B-Wings, or some such. And while some cells are still using surplus Clone Wars tech, as the cells consolidate the older stuff eventually gets retired for the newer stuff.
>>
>>43862902
>> “Yeah, I suppose I can stay. My crew can head home.”
>>
>>43864118
Damn, didn't Lotte said she might have a small job for us. Since this is a bit expensive.

Can we get anything bigger then a fighter?

Also any new factions changes for the pastebin?
>>
>>43864118
Can we haggle?
>>
>>43864118
Actually wouldn't that Scavanger we dealt with last thread be a better alternative? I mean their only going to give us old obsolete surplus.

and while her wears are illegal their more up to date, so wouldn't she be the better deal?

1. Lotte, like the Furies, may have a job or two for you if you want them.

2. The biggest thing you might be able to get is a Corvette. Anything bigger and the Empire might start wondering why this one guy is buying a Victory-II even though he only has a crew of like at most five people.

3. No changes.

>>43864258
This is KDY, not Smuggler's Haven. No haggling.
>>
>>43864118

Could we maybe get some ARC-170's or V-19's?

How about old Clone blasters and armor?
>>
>>43864276
Up to you to figure out which is the better deal.

>>43864282
If they have them in stock, sure.
>>
>>43864277

We should go check out the mandos then.

Is getting an Avenger out of the question?
>>
>>43864300
The TIE Avenger is currently in the experimental phase. Not even Lotte's connection could get you even close to one at a proving ground.

Of course, you could just steal one.
>>
>>43864311

I mean when they do a limited run.

Is that still out of reach for us?
>>
>>43864277
How much are Corvettes?

Can we fit our Freighter in it?
>>
>>43864327
With a CR90 for a scale, at its cheapest a used one will probably get you at 1,000,000 credits.

As for fitting your freighter in, it depends on what Corvette you're buying. Some are designed to handle ships in a hangar, others might need to be specially modified.
>>
>>43864368
So it's outside of our price range then.

Then again, how will we fill a Corvette sized ship?

Also while Sparks is a walking nightmare, would it's lack of shield an reltiavely thin armor make him very vulnerable to small arms?
>>
>>43864474
Only really to explosives. Intense barrage of blaster fire would be required to actually bring him down. It's pretty much a combined arms thing, as long as you support him he's practically invincible.
>>
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Marauder-class_corvette

Guessed this is out of the question.

Also what's smaller then a Corvette, not familar with ship sizes.
>>
>>43864511
SO what do we do to accept missions from Lotte and the Mandos?

Wouldn't that cause problems for the crew since we are treasure hunting?
>>
>>43864513

Corvettes are about the smallest big ships we could get. The Blockade Runner, the CR90, is probably our best bet, only needing a skeleton crew of 7 to get off the ground and into space, but with such a high price tag it's really not worth it unless we "requisition" one from a rebel cell or pirate warlord.
>>
>>43864543
You will eventually have to go back to the treasure, because whoever is hunting it concurrently against you will eventually narrow down the locations against what set of coordinates they do have.

In order to accept missions from either of them, you just really have to call them. You've got their contact information. And Warmaster Viszla is desperately waiting on her throne staring at her holopad waiting for you to call.
>>
>>43864576
So wouldn't going after the treasure first be the most important thing to do now?

Still what will Mando missions entail?
>>
>>43864576
so what did our crew think of the night?
>>
>>43864576
Wished we knew that while we were there at the time, would have saved us some trouble.
>>
>>43864623
The Furies will mostly center around you regaining their respect. You did after all steal their Basilisk and sell it off to an art collector. And to regain their respect, it might mean sabotage, raiding, blasting, and destroying a lot of things. You know, like a proper Mando.

>>43864652
1. Kuvasz loved talking with the Stormtroopers. Much as he disagrees with the policies of the Empire, Kuvasz can have a pretty good time with those he considers equals.

2. Vikker's probably going to stay on the ship when he can. He technically didn't do anything illegal, but a lot of Officers are not happy that their wives fell for his charms.

3. Lev mostly spent the night fighting off that one protocol droid while making sure Sparks didn't wander off. To this end, Lev eventually figured out that Sparks likes to stab things with his legs, so he started tossing fruits and veggies to him to crush for the rest of the night.

4. Misri loves free food, free dancing, and exploring. But when Lotte invited her to drink with you two, she felt a bit like a third wheel. Surprisingly can hold her drink pretty well and only fell asleep because you and Lotte are surprisingly very boring storytellers.
>>
>>43864777
Can we choose missions to do for them?

Like they give us a list? Like for example we like Rotta the Hutt since he's nice for a Hutt.

But someone like those Rebels with the B-Wings. We can screw with (Probably get some extra cash since their rebels too)
>>
>>43864870
They'll have specific missions available that you can choose from.
>>
>>43864902
Will there be an option to choose them or will it have to be a custom out of the way choice to pick up missions.

Is it possible to do missions for Lotte and the Mandos if their respective missions are in the same sector.
>>
>>43864870
Rotta is also a true gentleslug
>>
>>43864941
he has good taste in art and weapons
>>
>>43864902
How long do we have until we have to get back to the main mission?

Is it possible to steal a CR90 from the rebels?
>>
>>43864940
1. Personally, they probably won't actually give you a choice of missions from the start, with Lotte assigning you one and the Furies assigning you only one at least from the start. You can choose to contact them starting next thread onwards.

2. Yes, provided they don't really conflict with each other.
>>
>>43864991
1. You still have some time, but I would not advise wasting too much time on side missions and quests.

2. Under the Letter of Marque's terms, any ship or crew that you capture will be turned over to the Empire and you will be duly compensated the usual bounty. So if you do steal a CR90, the Empire might want it.
>>
>>43865021
so what you're saying is that if we want to keep the good stuff we may need to come up with a pen name?
>>
>>43865052
If you want to keep the good stuff, you might want to tell Lev to stop transmitting.
>>
>>43865021
How would we know when we are pressed for time?

Will our crew be okay with these delays?

>>43865076
and how do we tell him to do that if we are fighting to get possession of said ship?
>>
>>43865129
1. There will be signs.

2. They'll let you know. They're people after all.

3. Well, Lev constantly transmits what's going on over a secure channel. Plus, while he does follow your orders, transmission of your activities is up to Lotte and Imperial Officers.

So you'd probably have to physically rip out any communications devices he has.
>>
>>43865187
wouldn't there be a good chance he'd explode if we did that since they're loaded up with explosives to stop people from doing similar things?
>>
>>43865187
Before we leave Kurt will Lotte give us another mission before we go or do we have to ask for it.

Also how will the Furries will react to our Mandolorian? and why didn't they try and steal R5 again due to life day?
>>
>>43865211
1. Yeah, that's why they loaded him with explosives because he will explode if his communications, explosives, and database storage are tampered with.

2. Kuvasz has an... interesting relationship with other Mandalorians. There's a reason he didn't stick with Death Watch.
>>
>>43865223
1. You'll have to ask Lotte. She's mostly keen on letting you do what you want mostly.

2. They didn't try to steal R5 because it's not actually Life Day and won't be for several months. They've accepted that he's yours.
>>
>>43865276
SO it's impossible to take and keep what we steal.

didn't they all kill each other by the end of the clone wars arc?

>>43865291

So it's okay to ask both before we leave Kurt?
>>
>>43865341
1. Not without breaking Letter of Marque, no.

2. Death Watch served Darth Maul loyally for years until the Empire's takeover of Mandalore. They've gone underground again.

3. Sure.
>>
>>43865368
I thought Palpatine destroyed Darth Maul during the Mando civil war?

so what do the Furies need to repair on their ship? I'm assuming some missions maybe to help with that.
>>
>>43865432
1. Covered in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars comics. He didn't kill Maul, he kept him alive for various purposes.

2. They still need to repair quite a bit on the ship, but they're definitely not going to trust you to touch anything, not since last time.
>>
>>43865469
when we blew up their hanger or stole their droid?
>>
>>43865554
Yes.
>>
>>43865368
How about stealing from Pirates or Criminal Organizations?
>>
>>43865640
Pirates and Criminals are not covered in the Letter of Marque, so you should be good to steal something from them.

The issue is the fact that pirates and crims do not like it when people steal their ships.
>>
>>43865681
But if we are going to attack/pick a fight with them anyway, i think at that point whether they like us or not is moot. Am i correct?
>>
>>43865713
Pretty much.

What I mean is that most pirates and criminals are now mostly consolidated, with the rise of the Empire and all.

Basically, if you piss off one pirate group. You're going to piss off a LOT of other pirates who don't even know you or have seen you. Forewarning.
>>
>>43865713
with that logic we should just rob the rebels
>>
>>43865760
How hard could it be, I mean a lot of people don't like Rhys since he's a dog of the empire?

So again I don't see a lot of consequence if pirates or bounty hunters attack us, and we take their ship and stuff.

Honestly surprised no one tried to collect.
>>
>>43865779
We can't anything we steal from the rebels we have to give to the empire.
>>
>>43865794
The consequence is that eventually your luck will run out if you keep pissing everybody off.

Also, nobody's tried to collect because you're not yet in a vulnerable position.
>>
>>43865825
Ah that makes a lot of sense.

But wouldn't the missions the Mando and the Empire will give will involve pissing off said parties?
>>
>>43865876
Choose your missions carefully.
>>
>>43865889
Well that sounds ominous, thanks for the thread then.

BTW does our scavenger friend has any new wears?
>>
>>43865935
You'll have to check in with her, but she does replenish her wares every now and again.
>>
>>43866006
Do we have to travel back to smuggler haven to get her goods though?
>>
>>43866052
She'll bring the goods to you.
>>
>>43866075
Can we call while we shop at kurt to get the best deal?

Compare and contrast goods?
>>
>>43866113

Thanks for all the questions though.
