Age: 734

Location: Space

Information: With the death of the Zillian's former Alpha, as well as the men Frieza sent after the Saiyan deserters, Daikon is now in control of a fighting force of Zillians numbering in the area of 200. Having taken and modified the Zillian vessel, the Saiyans now search for a new planet to begin conquering, far from Frieza's reach.
>>
Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

It's been a few days since the ship took off of the planet where you located the Zillians.

In that time, Rugula has recovered, now boasting a power of 1600. Soko has also recovered from his injuries, and now seems to have increased substantially in strength, now possessing a power level of 850.

Kamatsuna has studied blood generously donated by Sissk, who Alpha has declared the new Beta in light of his combat prowess and willingness to give of himself for the others of his kind. With that blood sample, Kamatsuna has made adjustments to the healing tank, allowing it to work on Zillians just as well as it does on Saiyans. Beta was given the honor of being the first of his kind to use it.

The Saiyans and Zillians have gotten along well so far, with the warrior nature and combat prowess of both races giving them a certain respect and feeling of kinship for one another. You don't suspect they'll turn on you, unless you show extreme weakness.

You stand on the bridge, approaching an orange world at great speed. Kamatsuna informs you that landing will come in roughly two minutes.

"So, what happens when we land?" Sabi asks. "We let the lizards out to cause a little damage?"

>A. You'll let your forces destroy the closest settlement when you land. That should send a good message to the rest of the planet

Sabi grins. "I like the way you think. Hopefully whoever lives on this planet will put up some kind of fight."

"We will kill any who stand against us," Alpha vows.

"What about people in the settlements who surrender?" Azu asks. "What should we have the Zillians do with them?"

"Well, Daikon wants the people conquered, not wiped out," Rugula says. "So, there's a chance that anybody who chooses to surrender to us could be useful for that."

You decide that she has a point, and tell the Zillians to take prisoners. Anyone who resists, however, you give them permission to eat or do with as they please. But, you want anyone who surrenders brought to you, so you can judge whether they have any promise.

"If needed, we'll send backup to assist you," you tell Alpha.

"We will not need help," the Zillian hisses, sounding insulted.

The ship breaks the atmosphere, and you take a look outside. You can see forests, mountains, and even an ocean in the distance as the ship descends.

You activate your scouter, checking the power levels of the planet, and are somewhat disappointed to find that they're only averaging at about one hundred.

"Well, looks like the Zillians won't have much challenge," Rugula comments with a frown.

"Hey it's an easy planet to conquer," Soko tells her. "We're building an empire out here. A few easy victories are welcome."

The ship touches down, and the ramp is lowered. Alpha lets out a roar, and the Zillians begin to flood off the ship, heading for the nearby city.

"They'll probably be done in less than an hour," Azu comments. "What should we do in the meantime?"

"The rest of you are free to do what you want," you continue, "but if you're going out to explore, make sure you leave the cities intact. And, keep an eye out for anything that might be useful. Kamatsuna still needs parts to build more healing tanks."

You exit the ship and take off, flying into the air and looking over to see the Zillians flooding into the nearby city. There are screams and flashes of light everywhere, and you're pretty sure this won't last long.

You decide to find another city, and fly away from the one currently being overrun by your soldiers.

Your scouter alerts you to some more power levels a few miles away, and you quickly cover the distance, finding your city.

It's not as advanced as the cities on some of the other planets you've been on, but it's clear that these people aren't complete primitives. You see vehicles moving through the streets, telling you that this species has at least a basic understanding of engineering.

You descend to get a closer look, noticed by only a few of the people, who begin to panic and flee in terror. As you land, you get a better look at them, seeing that they're an oddly varied bunch.

They're all humanoid, but they differ in skin color. Most of them have tan or slightly darker skin, but some actually have dark blue skin, and a few have pointed ears.

Your scouter tells you that the ones who have blue skin, pointed ears, or both typically have higher power levels than the others, some of them approaching 500.

One of them, a thin woman with dark blue skin and a power level of 443, lets out a yell and comes charging at you, leaping into the air and attempting a jump-kick at your face.

"You are not one of them" she says in surprise. "What are you?"

Before you can respond, your scouter alerts you to a dozen powers approaching. You glance over your shoulder to see several men with primitive-looking blasters aimed at you.

You're unharmed, and make the rest of your flight without incident. You spot the city the Zillians have attacked, and see that most of it is burning.

Rugula stands at the bottom of the ship ramp, accompanied by Pumbukin and Totapo. In front of them, there are a trio of prisoners on their knees, heads lowered in submission.

Pumbukin glances up as you approach, smirking as he sees the woman you have slung over your shoulder.

You tell the Saiyans that it's time to attack the capital. You want the military bases left alone for now, and the capital intact if possible, as your hope is to force a political surrender.

"Sounds good to me," Pumbukin tells you before flying off in the direction you figure the capital to be in.

You hand the passed out woman to Totapo and tell him to either watch her or find someone that will before taking off and flying after Pumbukin.

The two of you soon reach the city, one much larger than the others and surrounded by vehicles with cannons mounted on them.

The cannons begin firing as soon as you arrive.

You avoid the cannon fire and unleash a barrage of energy attacks on the collection of tanks below you, destroying them two or three at a time with each blast you fire down.

You and Pumbukin wipe out the enemy force in less than a minute, leaving the capital bare and near-defenseless before you.

The two of you land in the streets, making your way through the city as the people run around and panic. Occasionally, someone will fire a blaster at you, but it has no real effect, and Pumbukin seems to enjoy taking shots at the weaklings who shoot at you.

"This is fun," he comments as he sets a building on fire. "If nothing else, these weaklings are good for sport."

You find yourself standing in front of a large, important-looking building, which has dozens of armed men standing in front of it with blasters trained on you.

Pumbukin grins as they open fire, then shoots a quick blast of his own that blows them all away in a second.

"This conquerin' stuff is fun," he comments. "I can see why Frieza likes it."

"I'm hopin' to find someone who can fight," he answers, glancing around. "But squashin' bugs is entertaining too."

Two more guards appear, firing their blasters, and you blow them away.

"Don't kill the leader just yet," you instruct as the two of you climb the steps to the main entrance.

"You got it," Pumbukin replies before punching the door down.

You find yourself in a large room, occupied only by you, Pumbukin, and a tall, muscular man with dark-blue skin and pointed ears standing in front of you.

"Well, someone who looks like they can fight," Pumbukin comments, activating his scouter. "Power level of 600."

The alien fires a wave of energy, and Pumbukin punches it away, sending it crashing through the ceiling and probably through the roof of the building.

Pumbukin rushes forward and kicks the alien in the face, sending him flying across the room and crashing into the far wall.

The alien manages to get moving, and begins to stagger toward Pumbukin, who laughs and fires an energy blast that causes him to yell in pain and fall to his knees.

Pumbukin glances back at you. "Why don't you go find the king? I'm gonna make sure this little weaklin' hurts a lot before he croaks."

You try to climb higher into the air in order to escape the missiles, but one strikes you on the way up, exploding and sending you crashing back to the ground.

You brace yourself as hundreds of missiles strike the city. The pain is brief before you lose consciousness, but it's intense, and you fear you won't be waking up from this one.

You don't know how much time passes, but you're proven wrong as your eyes slowly open. You're lying in the bottom of a smoking crater, and there's no sign of anything, or anyone, anywhere.

You stagger around the crater, looking for any sign of Pumbukin. But, you find nothing, and given your current stare, you're pretty sure that he died in the explosion.

You'll be joining him if you don't make it back to the ship soon.

You take to the sky, and slowly fly in the direction of the ship. Progress is slow, and it's a struggle to keep yourself in the air, but, you push on toward the ship, and hopefully an empty healing tank.

You find it harder and harder to keep going as you move along, but eventually you see someone up ahead.

Soko comes into view, and he looks at you in disbelief before rushing over to you.

You tell Soko that you fell into a trap, and Pumbukin was killed.

"They fired everything they had at us," you tell him.

"Well, they don't have much left to give," he replies. "The Zillians took out their main army a few hours ago. We've received surrender from nearly half the settlements on the planet already. We're pretty sure the rest will fall in line before too long."

The two of you reach the ship, and Soko helps you up the ramp, passing some of the other Saiyans, who look ready to ask about Pumbukin, but decide better of it.

Soko takes you to the healing room, and shouts for Kamatsuna to come help you into the tank.

The two of them help you out of your armor, and peel off what they can of the parts that are stuck to your skin, then put you in the tank. As it begins to close, you see Rugula step into the room.

"So, he's alive," she says.

"Barely," Soko answers.

"And Pumbukin?" she asks.

"Probably dead," Soko tells her. "Nothing showed up on the scouters."

Rugula frowns. "That's not good. But, at least it wasn't a total loss. The Zillians just captured the king."

"What about the prisoner Daikon brought earlier?" Soko asks.

Liquid begins to fill the pod, and you close your eyes. Before you lose consciousness, you hear her answer.

"Dead, but she told me some things Daikon's going to want to hear."

Your eyes open sometime later, and you spot Kamatsuna outside of the healing tank. The liquid begins to drain from it, and it slowly opens for you.

You look on the table and see some strange-looking armor and a brown cloak. You put both on, taking a moment to bask in the feeling of being fully recovered.

You come to a room guarded by a pair of Zillians, who really look like they'd rather not be babysitting. They stand aside and allow you to enter, and when you do, you find a short, thin man with a scar on his face who frowns as you enter.

"You're new," he comments.

So SCIENCE! ideas:
1. ProbeBot. Basically, take a scouter, slap some engines on it, and have it go explore planets to find stuff to conquer. Could also have one show up at the old location and have it lead Frieza's men on a wild goose chase.
2. Power Level Decoy generator. Creates Ghost PL images. Great for baiting traps.
3. Stealth Pod. For sneaky planetary insertion. On Vegeta, for example.
4. Some form of artifical Blutz Generator. The attack pod's moon thing, the power ball, or Multiverses Lamps, whatever causes monkey on demand.

"You seem cheerier than usual, not that I'm complaining, you just have been in a strangely good mood lately," you tell her.

She frowns, and you fear her good mood is about to evaporate. Instead, she smirks.

"You've been a more competent leader than I was expecting," she tells you. "I wasn't expecting much, so the problem may be that I set the bar too low, but you haven't gotten us all killed yet, and you've managed to get us some soldiers."

"And, if a weakling like you can reach 2900, I'm sure I can too, and probably get a lot higher than that," she says, though you get the sense she's more messing with you than actually trying to be mean.

"And make no mistake, I'm going to get stronger than you," she promises. "And then there's a few beatings I owe you."

"I can't believe someone as pathetic as him killed Pumbukin," Seripa comments.

"I guess it goes to show that anyone can be dangerous," Totapo says.

Bardock spits. "This runt wasn't worth the dirt on Pumbukin's boots."

"Hey, at least we got him back," Toma offers.

"But we don't have Pumbukin back," Bardock says. "And avenging him doesn't seem like much accomplishment when the one who killed him couldn't even stay alive for a few minutes."

Azu turns toward you as you enter the room, looking surprised as she scans your power.

You ask what the Zillians have found.

"Food, water, clothes, stocks of blasters, some vehicles that survived the battle," Azu explains. "A lot of supplies that will come in handy."

You ask her what she's been up to.

"Once the cities started surrendering, I went into the first one to help the Zillians round up supplies," she explains. "There's more than enough tech on this planet for Kamatsuna to make use of, and enough different foods to keep Gine busy for a good while."

Just a quick thought guys. Do you think Frieza will send Dodoria and his personal elites to get us next? That's who my money is on. The trip is 2 years in hypersleep plus a month or two as they scout out planets saying "have you seen any Saiyans around?" That's our time limit before we have to deal with Dodoria who is PL 22,000. And it might be someone even worse than him like Zarbon or the Ginyus

"Why?" you ask.

She seems surprised by the question. "Because you're my leader and my teammate. Bardock and his team are upset about losing Pumbukin, and I'd be upset to lose you."

You hadn't given that too much thought, but you suppose there is something of a bond among your team, and other teams of Saiyans. You didn't really imagine that Azu, or Soko, or God-forbid, Rugula would be sad if something happened to you.

But, after seeing how Bardock's team is taking the loss of one of their own, you can kind of see it.

She smirks confidently. "But with a power level like yours, I guess you won't have to worry about a few missiles any time soon."

Zarbon's tricky, intelligent, powerful, and skilled. He's high in Frieza's organization for a reason.

The Ginyu Force are a collection of the most skilled fighters in the universe, boasting a variety of abilities and high level of strength that are virtually unrivaled (unless you count Cooler's Armored Squadron, which they do not)

Frieza himself is intelligent, calculating, and incredibly powerful. He possesses the raw power to destroy a world in an instant, and the precision to shoot a single child in the head from across a body of water with a finger blast. He's a skilled fighter and one of the most powerful beings in existence.

Rugula's had more chemistry with us than Azu, Azu's just given us some weird looks like we're one hot hotbaby, and then she had doubts for a while. Rugula's been competitive with us for a while, and we've had plenty of rivally banter. Sure, she's tried to kill us a lot, but she hasn't done that for weeks (subjectively) now. If Rugula was gone from our lives, it would be a lot more noticeable hit than if Azu was. I would miss Rugula as a great rival, and Azu as an okay comrade.
