Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

It's been a few days since the battle with the old Alpha and Frieza's forces. In that time, you've managed to gather a bit of information from the lizard people, whom you've learned are called Zillians.

Apparently, counting the world you're on, the Zillian Empire consists of four planets, only one of which actually has people inhabiting it. Apparently, the Zillian idea of conquest has thus far been to wipe out every living thing on a world, then claim the remains as property. From what you can gather, the old Alpha eventually planned to repopulate the worlds with his own people, but that would have been quite time consuming.

Beta, now known as Alpha, has been rallying his fellow Zillians into your service, telling them how you and your fellow Saiyans defeated an ambush of his own soldiers, then taught him the secrets of energy use, which his kind refer to as "The Power".

The Saiyans who haven't been too badly injured have taken on a variety of duties. Soko, Pambukin, and Toma have been gathering supplies and food from the city ruins, while Gine has been preparing the various foodstuffs in a way that is not only edible, but tasty for Saiyans.

Rugula, Sabi, Bardock, and Seripa have been working hard to train the Zillians in smarter combat and the use of energy. You suspect that before long, they'll make an impressive fighting force.

Kamatsuna has finished scavenging parts from the pods, and has begun working on the Zillian ship, modifying it to better suit your needs. So far she's created storage areas for food and supplies, and managed to tweak the engines in order to make the ship move a bit faster.

"With the left over materials, I should be able to put together a single healing tank," she informs you. "However, it will take about a week. If you want, I can wait to start on it until we reach the next world."

You shrug. "Well, in any case, we'll grow stronger as we go world to world. Where do you think our home world will be?"

"I don't know," she says. "But we should probably find a planet to use as our capital sooner rather than later. It will make the creation of an empire much easier. I'd also recommend we not use this world or any worlds very close by as the capital. Frieza might send more men to investigate, and it would be unfortunate if we were discovered before we were ready."

The trio are overseeing large pile of things, from scraps of metal Kamatsuna periodically takes for her work, to small satchels and backpacks for carrying things, to containers suitable for filling with water from the fresh source they found a few miles away.

"Hey, boss," Soko greets as you approach. "What's up?"

"Well, we found some parts that were probably from some kind of old tech," Soko tells you. "Plenty of old pieces of metal and the like for Kamatsuna to use. Bardock and Rugula sent some of the Zillians underground to hunt down more of those creatures you killed, so hopefully we'll have a lot of food soon."

"Keep up the good work," you encourage before heading over to the location where your fellow Saiyans are training the Zillians.

Alpha seems to have joined them in this work, helping explain the use of energy in terms his own people can better understand. You see that a few of the Zillians have reached the point where they can create small lights in their hands, but it sees that Alpha is still the only one of his race capable of producing energy attacks.

You see Seripa apparently locked in combat with one of the soldiers, the two of them attacking one another fiercely.

Rugula and Bardock demonstrate energy attacks for the gathered soldiers.

You ask him if he's learned any new tricks with his energy attacks. He gives you a confused look, then seems to understand what you're asking.

"Yes, I am learning to use the power," he says, holding his hand into the air and shooting a tiny wave of energy from his palm.

It's small, and clearly not very powerful, but it's certainly a step in the right direction for someone who has never known how to use energy attacks until very recently.

As a matter of fact, it turns out that he's currently sparring with Seripa.

You look over to see Sissk duck under an energy blast and tackle the Saiyan woman to the ground. She throws him back over her head using her legs, then stands and charges after him as he lands on his back.

You meet his charge head-on, but are quickly knocked back by a strong headbutt from the creature, which sends you crashing onto your backside.

Sissk is on top of you in an instant, slashing at you and giving your left arm a deep cut.

You hiss in pain, and a second later, Sissk kicks you in the face, slamming your head into the dirt and knocking you out cold as it strikes the ground.

You wake up with one mother of a headache, and an extremely sore arm. You look down to see that someone's bandaged your arm, and put a makeshift helmet on your head (you suspect you know who is responsible for the latter).

You look around, and spot Azu lying in a bed not too far away, still looking pretty badly hurt from the battle with Frieza's men. She's asleep, and her power is low.

For days you remain bed-ridden, really only kept company by Azu, though the others occasionally stop by to update you on things. And, in intense pain, Azu isn't the best company right now.

Finally, however, a week passes, and Kamatsuna arrives, picking up Azu to carry her to the tank.

"It's not exactly a high-end model, so it'll take about a day for Azu to recover," Kamatsuna explains.

Eventually, however, Kamatsuna does return, informing you that Azu should be emerging from the pod at any moment.

You decide to go see Azu, and follow Kamatsuna to a room in the ship which is now mostly occupied by a healing tank.

Within the tank, Azu sits in her underwear, eyes closed and connected to many wires and tubes, her body surrounded by an unknown liquid.

Kamatsuna approaches the computer in front of the tank, looking over some things before glancing up at the tank.

"Should be any minute now," she says before turning to you. "By the way, I'm going to need a blood sample from one of the Zillians."

"Why?" you ask.

"These healing tanks are made to work on any species," she explains. "But they need information about the genetic makeup of each species they're used on in order to heal them properly. I used some of my own blood to make it work on Saiyans, but Zillian biology is clearly different from our own, so I'll need a DNA sample."

"But why blood?" you ask.

"Because I'd rather not use urine or semen, and I don't imagine any of the Zillians will volunteer a limb," Kamatsuna answers.

She shakes her head. "No, I saved all of the necessary information from Saiyans to the ship computers, as well as a backup disk. So, I can easily program that information into any future tanks. It will be the same for the Zillians once I have a sample. But, each time we get a new race to join us, I'll need blood from at least one of them."

The computer beeps, and Kamatsuna turns her attention back to the tank. She approaches the computer and presses a few buttons, and you see the tank begin to empty.

"There we go," she says as it begins to open, revealing Azu.

You check your scouter and find that her power level has gone up quite a bit, all the way up to 1312.

She grabs her armor and puts it on, doing the same with her scouter. She then stretches and throws a few punches at the air, smiling in satisfaction.

"Thanks for fixing me up," she says to Kamatsuna.

"It wouldn't do to have one of the few Saiyans out here get killed," the scientist replies. "I'm pleased you've recovered so nicely, and your power level seems to have climbed significantly."

Azu smirks. "Yeah, I'm even stronger than Rugula now."

"Daikon, you may use the tank now," Kamatsuna informs you.

You remove your armor and bandages before stepping into the tank. You're soon attached to several wires and have a respirator hooked up to your face. You close your eyes as liquid fills the tank.

You hear a beep sometime later, and feel the liquid around you drain away. Your eyes open, and you see the tank doing the same. Ripping away the wires and respirator, you rise and step out of the tank.

Kamatsuna is waiting, handing you your armor, and then your scouter once you're dressed.

You immediately check your own power level, and are happy to find that it's gone up to 1502, making you ever so slightly stronger than even Bardock.

"How are you feeling?" Kamatsuna asks.

"Are Rugula and Soko going to need to use this tank?" you ask.

"Yes, both sustained fairly serious injuries during the fighting a week ago," she answers. "Neither of them were quite as badly wounded as Azu, so I decided to have them wait until you and her were healed."

She activates her scouter. "Rugula, please report to the healing station."

A few moments later, the Saiyan female arrives, and you take a moment to realize she actually does seem to be hurt fairly badly.

She gives you a smirk when she sees you. "Well, you've gotten pretty strong. Good, hopefully next time you challenge an underling, you won't embarrass yourself so badly."

As she staggers into the tank, you look over at Kamatsuna.

"That reminds me, I should go rip Sisst's tail off real quick," you tell her.

"Just a tip, they don't grow back," Rugula tells you before putting the respirator on her face.

Your search leads you out of the ship, and to a spot where Bardock, Seripa, and Sabi are instructing the Zillians on energy use and combat.

A few dozen of them seem to have finally figured out how to create projectiles, and most of the others can at least make small lights in their palms.

You ask Bardock where to find Sissk, and he points to one of the nearby Zillians.

You approach Sissk, and congratulate him on his earlier victory, but also tell him that you want to have a rematch.

"You want to fight again?" he asks. "Very well, I will show my strength a second time."

Immediately, be begins rushing toward you.

You can feel when you pick up something as dinky as a 2-pound weight, you'll feel if your body is suddenly 15 pounds heavier because of a 10% increase in gravity. You'll feel sluggish because not only will your body weigh more, but so will all the liquids, your blood will pool towards your feet more, your heart will pump harder, your stomach will feel upset. Noticing gravity differences is actually really easy, even slight differences, since you've spent your whole life with your body attuned to everything working one way, when that changes even slightly your body freaks out.

Here's an idea. We do weight training. Eventually all the weights we have become worthless because we are just too strong. Then we have 2 options. Find bigger, heavier weights which is a rather cumbersome thing to do OR we ask Kamatsuna to look into making the weights we have even heavier. This train of thought can lead to artificially enhanced gravity.
Although...Kamatsuna isn't exactly Bulma when it comes to SCIENCE so any gravity machine we come up with may only reach up to 10x or 20x. Not the insane 100x and above levels that Goku and Vegeta had access to.

The Saiyans and Zillians, after loading what supplies you gathered, climb aboard the ship. You make your way to the bridge, where you find Kamatsuna waiting by the main computer.

"Alright, I uploaded our maps to the ship's computer, and the Zillians put the coordinates to the other planets they control in it," she explains. "Should we go to one of them, or head to another solar system?"

You decide to go find Azu, and make your way around the ship looking for her.

It's the first time you've done much in way of exploring the ship, so you decide to take a moment and figure out its layout a bit. Most of the rooms are sleeping quarters, though there's also some sort of room that's apparently used for combat between Zillian warriors, and you even see a pair of them fighting as you pass the room.

There are some restrooms, the healing room, and a food storage room. Kamatsuna added a freezer for keeping perishable goods, and modified the kitchen a bit.

You find Azu near the back of the ship, in a closed off section that the two Zillians guarding the way say is for Saiyans only. So, you're allowed to pass.

She sees you approaching and waits for you to come to her.

"Hey Daikon, where are we going?" she asks.
