This is insane, what does that note even mean? A guy went crazy in here, and apparently he's Ogumo, wait, no, he could have... seen Ogumo? No, that's not what he said in the note, he's Ogumo, but how was he going insane and forgetting his name? The one sure thing is that you don't want that to happen to you.

The sun finally shines it's final moment before dissappearing over the horizon, leaving only a blood-red glow as a reminder, which also fades in time. You sit on a chair, simply staring at the note, the roll of paper containing the last rational thoughts of a person. This... can't be right, can it? You still aren't sure that this is the Dai-Li, you only know of them as the Rebellion, but what if they aren't? You bring back the location of this base, the White Lotus raids it or something, and you get the wrong guys. The obvious use of this organization would be to dethrone the King and unseat the nobility, which you could see. After all, the King sounds like a pushover, even if he's a nice guy, and the Advisor and Queen sound like they abuse their power.

This might be a choice you have to make, you could even help them if you wanted, but first you have to stop the "counseling". You don't want to lose your mind. But this can wait until tomorrow.

Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony, but everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. The world slowly smoldered as the Air Nomads were eradicated by the Fire Nation, leaving nothing but empty homes in their wake. The Fire Nation has already started a full-scale campaign on the Southern Water Tribe, beginning the cycle of death anew.

Fifty years this war has raged, scorching the forests and destroying lives. Many have died and all hope of the Avatar's return has been extinguished, but life goes on. The walls of Ba Sing Se, Omashu, and the Northern Water Tribe have held the Fire Nation at bay, seemingly nothing can penetrate them. As always, there is also solace in wandering.

But this isn't a story about the Avatar, or a king, or even a hero, this is the story of Kuo, a wandering Firebender.

You set down on the floor and start meditating, just to get your mind off things. First you start pulling back from the room, feeling yourself relax and begin to lose awareness of the physical world. Then you're pulled back by a sound, barely uttered but still loud enough to distract you. You look around, thinking it might be Shinji snoring, but he's not making a sound. You decide to try again, chalking it up to nerves, and you just can't get a small sound out of your ears.

You stand up and begin straining your ears, trying to find the source of the sound, or even just what it is, but you aren't able to make it out. Maybe one of your neighbors is a sleep-talker, that would be useful to find out what is going on.

Wow, not having the best luck today, maybe it's because it's thread 13. Writing.

You begin listening closer to the sound, and you can't quite make out what it is, but it definitely isn't a constant noise. It's a murmur of some sort, occasionally stopping and starting, but you can't make out much else. It sounds like a voice, if only because of the cadence, but not loud enough to be more than just annoying. All you know is that as long as that sound is going on, you won't be able to concentrate on meditation.

Shinji pads over and curls up next to you on the floor, then he yawns, obviously tired. You wonder if they let you keep him or if he just stealthily evaded the search of your bag. Of course, that leads to the question of how he got into your room, and how he knew it was yours. They must have let you keep him.

You begin nodding off as well, but try to fight it to further identify the noise.

You stand up, startling Shinji as he hops up to follow you, and walk to your bed, changing into some coarse bedclothes on the desk. You lay down in your bed and start falling asleep in spite of the noise, slumber rises up to meet you and the world goes dark as yoou lose conciousness.

You feel something pulling you in an odd direction, a familiar feeling, but one you haven't felt in a while. You open your eyes to the man you barely recognize as Pobin, pale and gaunt, tying a rope to a tree. He turns around and doesn't react, you look down to find you are a shade of translucent reddish orange, like the glow of a sunset. He finishes tying the knot on the tree and firmly ties the other end to himself, then he walks into the distance and fades away.

You wake up in the same room you fell asleep in, not sure if it was a dream or a vision, and sit up. Shinji stirs on the foot of your bed, obviously still tired, but the sun is already above the window overlooking the Outer Wall. You sit up and find a small pin on a note laying atop the desk. It is a small triangular pin with more triangles inside it. The note simply has five words on it.

"Honored Guest of the Boss"

The dark green robes given to you yesterday still lay on the chair.

You pick up the robes and examine them, and the one thing that strikes you is how they are designed. These robes are designed with mobility in mind, much like the clothes from your costume, and they breathe really well. Whereas the scholar's robes you wore before would hinder you in a fight, these robes wouldn't even make a difference. You take the pin off of the note and carefully place it over where your heart would be on the robe. You quickly grab your glasses and put them on.

There is a knock on the door and you open it to find a rather normal looking man with a box in his hands.

"Here is your breakfast Dr. Rock, Boiled Chicken-falcon eggs and some kiwi-mango juice. When you are finished, I will escort you to Dr. Di." He looks at you with a face devoid of any emotion, but suddenly wipes his eyes as you grab the box, as if wiping the sleep from his eyes. Then he blinks a bit and smiles at you, in a way that seems friendly. Oddly, you can't help but feel a little uneasy at it.

You open the box to a steaming hot breakfast and what appears to be a small cup full of juice. The eggs aren't bad, they aren't good, but they aren't bad. You drink the juice, finding it a bit off-tasting but fine. The man must surely be standing outside the door waiting for you.
