You slump across your desk, tired and otherwise drained from the experiences of your early afternoon. School will be getting out soon, and you are in a little bit of trouble for disappearing when you did, but thanks to the influx of emergency vehicles outside of the high school across the way your punishment is a scowl from your teacher at best.

Moaning quietly, you roll your face about on your desk behind the cover of a standing notebook. The lecture drones on ahead but you can’t quite concentrate. Your mind drifts back to your big sister and what happened not moments ago in the gymnasium of her school.

A monster attacked, possessed the student body and faculty to attack a few select individuals. When you went to drop your big sister’s lunch off, you didn’t see her but felt something off. Your friends confirmed it so when it was time the five of you went to save the day.

You faced the monster after a brave soul freed those it controlled, fought alongside expected and unexpected allies, and purified the monster to return it to the unwillingly transformed girl.

Your name is Koyomi Chiba, and you try to act like you don’t have a care in the world, and you are the fourth woman to carry the mantle of Sailor Moon! However your mind lingers on your sister who carried the title before you and how she cowered with her friends.
>>

Why wasn’t she fighting?

Was it just to keep her friends safe?

How was Sailor Sol in two places at once?

Unable to parse this matter, you moan again.

“Chiba-san, I’m sorry you are finding my lecture so troubling,” a sweet voice sighs above you, “Perhaps sitting down isn’t good for you right now, I could have you stand in the hall if that helps? Perhaps the nurse could take a look at you instead?”

You go rigid. Liu-sensei, your algebra teacher and an extremely aggrieved foreigner, looms over you with chalk dancing across well manicured fingers as she spies carefully on your reaction. She is a good teacher and you normally really like her, most of the teachers in your Junior High are foreigners working abroad on teacher work programs because almost no one local wants to work here, she tends to be strict to your antics which haven’t been a problem aside from your recent business as the sailor guardian of love and justice.

Freezing up, you screw your eyes shut and feign being asleep in hopes that it throws Liu-sensei off of your case for disturbing her class. While you are certain you cannot solve any of her present queries for X, you can certainly solve the current crisis for why!

Trying to make you body looked relaxed, and adopting a familiar breathing pattern you hope and pray that your ruse has proven effective.

The shuffling of your standing notebook being moved brings you doubt. A quiet falling across the room brings you worry. The sound of twisting paper and cardboard along a ringed binding causes you to adopt a certain concern.

The sharp impact of your rolled up notebook on the back of your hand brings you squeaking and upright.

“Chiba-san, explain yourself!” Liu-sensei demands sharply over crossed arms as your rolled notebook is dropped upon your now clear desk.

Your eyes immediately well and flow with tears as you bring your arm to cover your face. Attentions are on you and that just makes it worse, you don’t care because you are sincerely sorry for derailing class.

“Sorry, I’m sorry sensei,” you fling your arm to the window and the chaos across the way and point, “I’m just worried about my big sister,”

Sniffling into quieted state, you find yourself beneath the scrutiny of your math teacher.

She says nothing and heads back to the front of the class, leaving you standing and the eyes of your peers upon you. Your eye catches Kanari-chan gesturing for your to sit back down, which you do with a little embarrassment and a nervous laugh. Some of your fellows are looking out the window in curiosity. Some are paying attention. Koito is glancing over to you and then glancing away trying to make it seem he isn’t deeply concerned.

Thus, you know he actively cares. He made a pretty good distraction for you and Kanari to get out of class earlier, though you still haven’t touched base with him about what went down.

Settling back into your seat you resolve to…

>Pay attention to the lecture
>Think about what happened with the fight. What?

Well, you unfold your notebook and workbook while Liu sensei returns to her lecture on finding variables in different kinds of equations and applying what basic math you already know to these processes. This is the furthest thing from your attention right now as you need a way to sooth your worries regarding your recent fight as Sailor Moon.

There is nothing that distracts you quite like a snack!

Deftly reaching down into the side pocket of your school satchel, you draw up a soft plastic wrapped slice of pound cake purchased from the Jupiter Cafe. In your secret in class snacking, you’ve learned the value of quiet.

Mass produced slices of pound cake are often sealed in a harder and loudly crinkling plastic wrap or loud foil. Tearing them open or hiding the evidence usually ends in discovery, so you adapted. Purchasing a few slices early in the week from a local small business is best, as most wrap their to go pastries in multiple folds of softer plastic wraps. Beneath your careful fingers it unfolds or tears free silently.

Careful to make sure your eyes are glued to the blackboard and the dizzying array of white numbers and symbols being drawn there, you dip your shoulders so your mouth is below the line of sight from your single directional shield. Sparing a quick glance to the side, you find your best friend looking over toward you, far less than amused.

‘mogu mogu’ you quietly stuff the broad slice into your mouth and savor the lemon vanilla drizzle on top of the still moist and heavy slice.

Your confection consumed and all evidence of it successfully hidden as you palm the crumpled plastic wrap into your hand, you let the rest of class finish and Liu-sensei dismisses the lot of you for the day.

As you pack your things, a hand falls on your shoulder.

“Koyomi-chan,” your best friend asks in an even tone as she steps into your line of sight, “If you had that emergency ration, why were you eying up my lunch earlier?”

It’s become an unspoken and expected rule that you would ask for a piece or two of Kanari-chan’s lunch once you had exhausted your culinary supplies.

“Because Kanari-chan’s lunch is the best!” you laugh nervously and then bow in short apology as she rolls her eyes with a smile.

She studies you carefully for a moment and then releases her hold on your shoulder while sighing in defeat. There is en electricity to her, a happy calm you are happy to see in her again after she spent so much time being angry. One thing you know about your best friend is that she can never stay mad or upset when her skills are praised.

“Yeah yeah,” she grins and pops her hands on her hips, “So, lunch aside, how cool were we today!”

“Pretty damn cool,” you smile and adjust the broach on top of your school bow, “That move with the door was amazing! I didn’t know Kanari-chan was so strong!”

“Yeah, I’m pretty awesome,” she crosses her arms and nods, “I’m going to make it my goal to be your strongest guardian, Koyomi-chan,”

You blush at your friend’s assertion, and then look up to meet her resolved.

“You shouldn’t worry so much about being the strongest on your own,” you tell her, “We’re all strongest together, Kanari-chan!”

She mulls over your words for a moment and assents.

“Good point,” she nods, “So, what’s the plan for celebrating a great day?”

“Actually,” you say nervously on a subject you expect to be a sore one for your best friend, “I was going to go see how Mikage-nee is doing,”

Braced for the worst, to watch your friend close up and grow in some way bitter or annoyed, you are not prepared for what happens next.

“Sure,” she says casually and picks up her shoulder bag, “I get that, is it okay if I come with?”

Wait, what?

“Eh?”

“What?” she asks, incredulously, “Is there something on my face?”

“Oh, no,” you try to laugh it off, “Everything is fine,”

As you head out of the classroom, you give Koito Kino a friendly wave. His eyes dart over to his sister behind you who offers him some gesture and words in Portuguese before you disappear out the door.

Getting across the way to the high school actually proves to be a difficult task. Everyone is gathering out front as people are slowly trickling out of the building from the triage set up by emergency services, local police, and a few PIT response vehicles and personnel.

Gaining entry under the assertion you have a big sister in classes, you are quickly directed toward her. The mere mention of her full name puts an odd lock on the faces of the student body and teachers alike as they tell you where they saw her last. Weird.

Finally, the two of you actually find yourselves directed toward the nurse’s office. Oddly enough, you see a small gathering of students outside of the Nurse’s office having a quiet but tense discussion.

Your sister’s best friend, Kairi Osaka. Keiko Sugimoto, the recently awakened Sailor Sol. Midori Mori, an apparent friend of Sugimoto-san and of your own sister. The three of them stand in a tight triangle around one another by the door as another girl you do not recognize, she is thin and slouching with long and messy looking hair, stands next to them trying to interject every so often but seems to be ignored as she cannot find her voice.

>Head straight into the nurse’s office, why is Mikage-nee there?

Sidling up beside the slouching girl, whose focus is squarely on the trio of girls who do not notice her presence, you fall into position and listen carefully. After a moment the slouching girl loses her nerve and turns around and away, she seemed worried about something, but you have more pressing concerns.

Kairi Osaka, Midori Mori, and Keiko Sugimoto were all with your big sister up on the bleachers in the gymnasium when you fought against the monster as Sailor Moon. Except that isn’t quite right.

Keiko Sugimoto is Sailor Sol, one of your allies and a guardian of love and justice. Somehow she fought alongside your team and was still in her civilian guise in close proximity to your sister and their shared friends. It doesn’t quite add up.

Kairi Osaka knows the truth of things, you know she is your big sister’s confidant. Your big sister knows Sugimoto-san is Sailor Sol, somehow she was involved in the details of her awakening as a Sailor Guardian which you don’t quite know yet. Midori Mori, as far as you know, is just someone your sister is friendly with and is a close friend of Sugimoto-san.

Did she notice Sugimoto-san wasn’t there? Or was the Sugimoto-san who was standing among your team not really there?

The burning heat of her Solar Beam suggest that she was actually there. So what gives.

Its best to listen.

“-worst I think she’s had in a while,” Kairi Osaka explains to the other two girls, “Something is definitely wrong right now and Sakurada wouldn’t really say what happened before it started,”

“We can’t exactly see if we can help if he’s hovering,” Sugimoto-san complains with a sigh as she shifts her weight on her hip.

“Well,” Mori-san huffs while crossing her arms, “At least we got Nui out of here by convincing her to go get her bag and pills,”

“I’m surprised she didn’t tell us to do it since we know where she sits,” Kairi relaxes a bit.

“She’s probably just stressed, right?” Mori-san questions, “She’s been running herself ragged dealing with this spider shit all week, besides she did get pretty smashed yesterday,”

Mori-san knew your sister was running around dealing with spiders? Is this just her commenting on it all after the fact or something else.

“She was talking to the class rep when it hit,” Sugimoto-san muses as you just squirm at wondering what happened to your big sister, “Or so he says. What if he felt bold and she got overstimulated?”

“I doubt it,” Osaka-san huffs, “And I don’t think that would push her into a panic attack,”

Oh no! You worry. Mikage-nee had a panic attack! That’s bad, but it’s also not too uncommon.

“Oh no!” you gasp, “Mikage-nee!”

Three girls jump in surprise as you run around them, sudden worry etching across their features that you don’t immediately concern yourself with. The last thing you hear from the hallway is your best friend distracting the suddenly concerned high school girls with a confused greeting.

“Uh, hey?” your super talented and mega strong friend says in confusion as all three girls whip around to face her.

Dashing into the nurse’s office, you brush past the white coated young woman stocking a shelf and throw aside curtains to her surprise until you find your sister curled up on one of the resting beds and propped up on numerous pillows. Sitting beside her is a young man wearing a sleeveless white undershirt, you recognize him. His name is Yoshi Sakurada and you remember when he would come over often to help tutor your sister back when she was...

The concern on his face is blatant. Your sister has her eyes screwed shut and is shuddering or shivering, you aren’t sure which.

“Mikage-nee,” you mewl sadly at the sight of her.

She doesn’t react. He perks up to your entry, his introspective and serious face disappearing beneath a convenient and practiced neutral expression. You can tell he is trying very hard not to seem out of sorts in all of this.

You like him, more than the other boy who came to see your sister when she was in the hospital. Actually thinking about it a bit, you harp on their differences. One is tall, soft spoken, and gentle while the other is short, crass, and a brute. Two really different guys.

“Oh, Chiba-san,” his tone is oddly apologetic, “I didn’t hear you come in,”

“Really,” you ask confused, “I shouted from the hallway,”

“Oh...well I guess I was preoccupied,” he scratches his cheek in what you think is feigned embarrassment.

Nodding you sit on the other side of the nurse’s office rest bed.

“Um, Sakurada-san, I’d like to be alone with Mikage-nee,” you ask with your own feigned demureness tinged with sincerity as you ready yourself for what you resolve that you need to do, “Just for some sisterly privacy,”

He nods and excuses himself with a quick adjustment of his glasses. Once alone with your shivering older sister you lean over and take her into a tight hug. You know you shouldn’t but you hold her tightly and feel her go rigid and gasp at your touch.

Whatever is going on, she’s in there deep. She hasn’t outright passed out like outside of the theater, but she feels so far away. Choking back a sob of your own, and thinking on your sadness at the matter, you wonder if you could let her take your fear and worries for her away. If you could bring yourself to let her take it at least.

No. You don’t think you could.

However, you can do this. Taking a deep breath while holding her tightly, you dig into yourself and use an ability you know you don’t need to transform to use. Pulling on two motes of planet power, you try to relieve your sister’s ailments.

You have no idea if this will do anything. Is her condition, is any of it, a sickness that can be so pulled from her? Like a hot towel against an infection you feel her, and tug on her suffering with your deepest senses of empathy.

Whatever you pull from her fills you, a weight in the pit of your stomach.

Your sister gasps and surges forward again, awareness burning back into her eyes as her breathing steadies. You struggle against her panic, now your own. Whatever it is you’ve taken from her, does she have any idea what you’ve done?

Do you?

You are Mikage Chiba, second year highschool student fifteen years old. You’ve just felt something jar inside of you as your find yourself rocketed out of the throes of a particularly intense panic attack with an unexpected start. Before you were deep within yourself, the last thing you understood of your surroundings was a warmth encircling you.

Taking in your surroundings, you find that you are in the nurse’s office and that two tails of blonde hair intermixed with your own partially undone braid.

Koyomi, your baby sister, is hugging you between sobs of her own. Large wet eyes look into your own as she mumbles out your name and an abbreviated honorific.

“Mikage-nee,” it tumbles out of quivering lips.

Your throat is hoarse, and you find yourself oddly hungry and empty.

Its pretty easy to tell why she’s crying. Koyomi is always emotional where you are concerned. Clearing your throat, you lift your arms and tug the teary eyed blonde into you. You let her cry into your sweater as you calm her down.

Your mind is sharp right now, acutely aware of your surroundings and still confused that you just lept from your panic into this state.

Comforting your sister gives you a moment to think, and as you hug her and rub the small of her back to soothe her worry, you wonder if she did something. Feeling the outline of her broach against the top of your leg you think back to the silver crystal. When you wielded it as Sailor Moon and when you drew power from Usa-neechan’s alternate crystal, it doesn’t feel like she used its power. So why are you so suspicious.

Does it matter? You drift back to realizing Yoshi saw you collapse into this when you were trying to warn him against his manager. Ugh, you may have just complicated things and he still has so many questions you need to answer. So does Umeki-san.

Si, save for unique circumstances with some powers and the fact that she could still use spells.

A thought crosses your mind, that you should stretch her cheeks or rub your knuckle into your sister’s scalp until she talks, but that feels a bit beyond you at the moment. You always have tendency to be rough with your little sister, and in turn you are fiercely protective of her from all comers, because you know she adores you. If she’s holding something back from you, she must think she has good reason.

Honestly you don’t want to be rough with her right now, and squeeze it from her. You understand lying because you have a good reason, primarily because you’ve been doing it to her for weeks now. Still, what would it hurt to ask again, and nicely?

Pulling the smaller girl into a tighter hug, she practically melts in happiness that she is under your attention and sisterly affection.

~You don’t have to be so defensive,~ you try and soothe her worry, ~I just want to know if you did something. It’s okay, really. Using your powers to help others isn’t anything to be ashamed of, and if you did I just want to know,~

Hesitantly, she pulls back and looks askance in shame.

“I may haffdunsumthin,” she mumbles quietly as her hands grip each other.

~I’m sorry, I couldn’t quite hear you,~ you sigh and throw your legs over the cot to face her.

“I may have done something,” she admits sullenly, “It’s a power, I can use it when I’m not transformed. I just drew whatever was making you sick into me...but then I didn’t have a panic attack,”

That is concerning. You lean in toward your sister and notice nothing different about her. Inside of you, you still feel the weight of your anxiety at the edge of your perception, just distant. Something changed in you, something was drawn out of you but you can’t place what it was. Something that was making you sick?

Not something to figure out now. She recovers from her embarrassment and balls her fist and raises them impassioned to ask you something that she finds suddenly incredibly important.
>>
>>43648866
“Oh, Mikage-nee,” she herself seems to have her curiosity piqued, “do you know how Sugimoto-san was in 2 places at once in the gym?”

You were not prepared for this, so you stretch the truth in a way that isn’t quite lying.

~Eclipse and his Knights setup and illusion,~ you explain to her quickly, ~They were after Sugimoto-san as their main target and really didn’t like Kairi-chan and me. They told us to hide while the enemies went after the illusions, and Sugimoto-san doubled back,~

“What!” she asks in slight disbelief, “You ran?”

~I knew Eclipse was there, and you’d already texted you were coming. I stayed with Kairi-chan and Mori-san to keep them safe, but if I needed to I was still in the room to help,~

“The gym was locked though, where did you manage to hide?”

~Underneath the bleachers,~

“Wow,” she admits, “Well, we could have still used more help in that fight. That black webbing we terrible,”

~Yeah, some got under the seats and caught up Kairi-chan,~ you sell the matter with another detail true after a fashion with a short laugh.

You feel bad about that, actually. Not being honest with her...but you aren’t ready to admit this to her. You aren’t ready yet to admit you are helping her as Eclipse. With everything going on you need to compartmentalize everything you are doing, certainty could put your sister at greater risk.

Not that you know how, but you just know.

And you don’t question yourself for a reason. The reason is ‘because’ and you are willing to accept that right now.

Your conversation with your sister is interrupted by the arrival of an incredibly short young woman rushing into the nurse’s office with your bag and brandishing your pill bottle. Upperclassman and Student Council President Nui Takeda.

“I brought Mik-” she pauses as she sees you sitting with your little sister, you offer her a short wave, “Oh, you’re up. Well, I got your stuff, Chiba-san,”

Setting your things down, she backs out of the room, where you see your expected trio of friends plus Kanari Kino poking their heads in after Nui’s charge.

Before she backs out of the room, Nui Takeda throws you a query.

“When you get the chance, Mori-san and I wanted to ask you something,” she eyes your sister cautiously, “Official unofficial student council business related to today’s events,”

~Ah,~ you nod, ~Sure,~

As Nui completely retreats into the hall, you sever the line of sight from the door to your point of rest with the curtain. Returning your attention to your little sister, who seems lost in thought about something which in and of itself is a touch out of character, you flash her a smile.

~Say, Koyomi, can I let you know something,~

“Ah, sure Mikage-nee,” she meets your gaze with an open and innocent curiosity.

~I just wanted to say that you did great out there,~ you say with pride and earnest will, ~You are an amazing Sailor Moon and it was great seeing all of you in action together,~

Her smile quivers and her eyes well up with tears again, though there is no trace of sadness on her face.

“Y-you really mean that,” she asks in a build up of energy, “Nee-san?”

~I really mean it,~

“Even though I got all gunked up in webbing?”

~Happens to every Senshi, one way or another,~ you shrug before reaching out to ruffle her hair, ~but you won the day and saved the victim,~

She laughs and smiles under your praise, and you are reminded why you’ve done all of this so far. Her smile. Aiha’s smile. Rin’s smile. Venus’s smile. Kanari’s smile. You want to protect them. You want to shield them from the pain you went through, as best you can.

Because despite what they’ve all said, you know you cannot be one of them. Your heart is too broken as of yet. They can’t know until you can meet them as a whole, much like the crystal around your neck.

As she smiles, you suppress a frown. She took a burden from you, and you are not sure which. How will you be able to keep protecting her if she can do something like that? It will be something to figure out later. For now, at least your very busy and hectic day is over.

And there is much you have to yet tend to tomorrow.

Also, Usagi and Minako in stereo mode is always hilarious.
>>
How about a little post recap of things.

The villains you know.
>>
Hiddenite - A Ninja. Leader of the Neo Shintennou. Unlike the others he was active first and seeking out geological foci that were later used to resurrect his fallen brethren. Although his orders were to locate the remains of the proper four kings, Knights of old Elysion, he instead was only able to locate noble members of the military and guard he was familiar with. It is unknown how he survived the purging of the Sol System after Metallia's attack and Saturn's Retaliation.
>>
Amazonite - A warrior. The heavy hitter of the Neo Shintennou. Despite her brutish build she conducts herself in an extremely feminine manner. Upbeat and cheerful around her Hiddenite, but privately melancholic regarding the nature of her resurrection. Loyal to her allies and the cause of Elysion, though her present state allows that to be overridden.
>>
Kalunite - A philosopher. The clever manipulator of the Neo Shintennou. Lazy and lackadaisical in his outward personal conduct, it betrays an efficient sharpness in his professional actions that can be misconstrued as cruel. Loyal to the cause of Elysion as it has been presented to him in this new age, the nature of his resurrection may allow his own nature and free will to be overridden.
>>
Hematite - A sage. The sorcerer of the Neo Shintennou. Calculating and often indirect in his actions, he seeks solutions to his mission that carve a wide swath and are meant to confuse his enemies. Loyal to the cause of Elysion as it has been presented to him, but uncertain of the finite details and has doubts about their current goals. Unfettered from the manner in which he carries out his missions, and unaware the nature of his resurrection may wrest his own control from him.
>>
Professor Borealis - Despite being turned into a monster of his own mixture against his will, this mad scientist saw the writing on the wall. In fear of his patron and master, he made certain his body would be inoculated against certain portions of his monstrous formula. Now he is empowered and completely capable of defying his master's will, which he now does as he keeps the secrets gleamed from the eyes of his grown super creation to himself and shifts his espionage toward one Mamoru Chiba.
>>
Clone Kalyke - Bones suffused with darkness and magical energy to the point of crystallization over the course of countless eons. She is an empty vessel whose flesh was grown slowly to be resistant to the corrupting nature of the Shadow's Taint, the physical manifestation of Chaos's weight upon space and time. Her flesh, vat grown slowly, is also suffused and peppered with secret and hidden devices meant to bend the unthinking body to its own will...however something is wrong.

Another heart has touched this empty flesh. Giving the first spark to an awakening mind. A mind at odds with the intentionally engineered flaws within her body, which will lead to an unfortunate fate.
>>
The Four Weapons - Enemy Shadows borne and given life through a new process creating them as unique life forms despite their basis in Chaos taint. Silhouettes of mind and body born in effigy of their four hosts, their intentions remains unknown as they continue as missing assets to the cause of Elysion.
>>
Johnathan Ward Chau - A philanthropist, scientist, international sensation, and all around extremely decent human being. I have no idea what this is doing here. Ignore it, ignore him.
>>
I hope that was helpful as we move forward with this quest.

>>43656127

Interlude: Before Dawn

The last time you were up anywhere close to this early was when your older sister insisted that you get some exercise, and dragged you with her for one of her morning runs. After the praise she gave you yesterday, for your heroic deeds, you’ve felt possessed of a strange energy. Like you could run a thousand of those laps she had you and the rest of your friends doing in your sleep without losing step.

It’s strange and invigorating, as you creep down the stairs. You checked her room, where the kitten was sleeping in a tangled nest of her pink hair. That likely started sometime in the middle of the night when Luna came home with Diana, you know because you slept so lightly that you heard them come in.

Again, it’s strange. Normally you sleep like the dead. The very noisy dead, but the dead all the same.

Opening up to the backyard, you stride out into your mother’s garden and take a deep breath. On the rare occasions you’ve woken up anywhere near early, you’ve stolen a peek at your sister as she goes through her non running exercises in the backyard so you’ll try to mimic some of the things you’ve seen.

Not long into this routine, you ache in places you didn’t know could ache. Muscles and tendons do things they should not do as you pressed yourself to your limit on stretches and simple exercises until you could do no more. How does she do this every day?

Tired, you come back into the house, and freeze as you hear someone coming downstairs.
>>
>>43666013
Its Mikage-nee!? Shit, you didn’t think this through. Pressing behind the archway into the kitchen, you wait as you listen to the sound of her putting on her sneakers and leaving through the front door. After she’s left, you sigh in relief.

Wait...why are you even worried about her seeing you up this early? Maybe because you fear she’ll expect it of you regularly? Yeah, sounds right.

Grabbing a quick shower, an idea sparks in your head. By the time you are cleaned and dressed, she still hasn’t returned from her run. Good. This gives you time to surprise her and dad with something amazing!

Striding back into the kitchen, you open one of the side drawers and take out one of mom’s aprons. Tying it firmly around your waist and draping the neck piece over your head, you resolve that this time nothing will catch fire unless it’s supposed to as you gather flour, eggs, and things you think might be useful to your decided task.

Interlude End

Hey Art, any thoughts on how to express mythic characters with no rank/tier yet?

>>
>>43713338
No, actually. Been stretched a bit thin on thinking about that.
>>
>>43713985
Figure I'll throw em the bonus hitpoints and have a phantom surge in the background until things open up.
>>
>>43714641
Pretty straightforward, I think the phantom surge that you control is a good way to go and slowly drop clues in. You might want to keep the bonus HP secret from them until it comes into play.

Though that isn't quite viable until you know what their path will be.
>>
>>43714832
Path was setup through some roleplaying decisions during the course of events that lead to their "Reforging", where as far as they are aware they just had the opportunity to reassign some character choices and where marked by destiny and such. Fought their mirror selves and such, need to get back to the game now though..
>>
>>43715125
Good luck, though I will continue to champion them getting the opportunity to discover their status slowly.

>>
>>43717978
Well, insomuch as they did much. A lot if talk ahout where to go and whether to take a currently friendly evil dog beast with.

>>43721100
Not much violence, though I had to. Swing the clue bat fairly hard to discourage jumping down a hole into the even lower depths. Good option as a path down in the future, but they are already poking at things over their heads as it is.
>>
>>43721149
*swung
Running an open world and then finding a passage to a much scarier place can be hazardous to the PCs' health.

>>
>>43723013
Well, after the reveal you can tell them how it was similar to another scene in something you've been following and participating in.

What's the race, class, etc breakdown?
>>
>>43725920
Been some losses from the group, older campaign I've working on reigniting.
Main players now are a wizard dwarf (with a level of fighter) that enjoys blacksmithing and when push came to shove against his double, he preferred to chop him down with his axe. Likes to hit things with weapons more than spells directly, Champion should make him feel a bit better at that.
Meanwhile there is the human street rat from the Warrens, a paladin that everyone believes to be, a rogue with poor skill choices that enjoys running headlong at danger and evil.
Just the two now, some RL events had impacted the group. Part of the bump to their characters is to help keep that survivable. Considered trying to work more in, but at this point they are two of the easier people to get together so as long as I can get the groove going again, I think it's good.
