Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

You aren't sure how long your sleep lasts before it's rudely interrupted by some sort of commotion coming from outside of the rocket.

Your eyes slowly open, and you force yourself to stand, your back stiff from staying in that position for so long, and your body still in significant pain from your injuries. You make your way through the mostly empty rocket, coming to the ramp and looking out.

It appears to be early evening, so you figure you've only been out for a few hours. In the distance, you can barely make out a group of shapes approaching. You activate your scouter, which reports a trio of power levels around 600, and three more much lower.

A few of the other Saiyans seem to have noticed, with some preparing to attack, while others seem to think it's a group of Saiyan Warriors returning from battle.

You decide to go back to your rest, and make your way back inside. You return to your little corner, sit down, and close your eyes, drifting off into a sleep that lasts for quite a bit longer this time.

When you awake, the rocket is no longer empty, and you're pretty sure it's moving.

Looking around, you see a large amount of barely-clothed Saiyans wearing little more than scraps. Some look wounded, while others look perfectly fine.

You force yourself to stand back up, finding that, while you feel stiff, you seem to have recovered from your injuries well enough.

"So, you're still alive," Soko says, approaching you.

You kind of wish you had been there, but you suppose recovering probably would be better. You aren't quite at full strength yet, at least as far as you can tell, but you're much better off than you were before.

"Not that you would have been much help," Soko continues. "I heard your power dropped to 300. Hold on, let me see if that's...."

He activates his scouter, eyes widening as he reads your power level.

"No, my scouter says the same thing," a female voice comments from nearby.

A woman emerges from the crowd, scanning you with her green scouter. She has dark hair and purple eyes. Her scouter beeps, and she smirks.

"Yep, 650," she tells you. "See for yourself."

You decide to heed her advice, activating your scouter and scanning yourself. To your surprise, the device reads your power level at 650.

"That can't be right," Soko insists.

"Why not?" the woman asks. "We get stronger with every fight, and it looks like he's done a lot of fighting lately."

You use your scouter to scan her next, reading her power level at 625.

You ask her who she is.

"I'm Selypa," she tells you. "And who are you?"

You tell her your name.

"Right, Bardock mentioned you before," she says. "You're that idiot who keeps getting himself almost killed."

"That's right," Soko tells her.

"But, he also said you were pretty helpful on Arcose, and were useful in beating Frieza's men," Selypa continues.

"A few lucky shots and people start getting the idea he's a good fighter," Soko laments.

"We found two of them a few miles from one of their cities," Selypa tells you. "We took them down, but Bardock got hurt saving his weakling wife again. Two of the others got it almost as badly as he did. But, we won the fight."

Soko snorts. "This Bardock guy sounds like an idiot. What good does saving someone who can't defend themself accomplish? Especially if you get hurt doing it."

"She makes Bardock soft," Selypa comments. "But he's still the best fighter in our group."

Soko laughs. "Must be a sorry bunch."

Selypa turns towards him, activating her scouter. "We're stronger than you."

"Whatever," Soko says, turning and disappearing into the crowd.

You decide to get some more rest until you reach Planet Vegeta.

You return to your corner, sit down next to Tamas, and fall asleep.

It isn't too long until the ship reaches your home world, and you wake up to the sounds of your fellow Saiyans leaving the rocket. You pick yourself up and join them, Tamas walking at your side.

You find yourself standing before a city that wasn't there when you left. It's relatively small, made up of only a few structures, but each one if absolutely massive. The design looks like nothing you've seen before, either from Saiyans or Tuffles, and their color scheme reminds you of Frieza himself.

Before this new city stands King Vegeta, flanked by Nappa, Catseara, and Zorn.

"Listen to me!" he demands, his voice silencing all others. "This city is the first of many that will soon cover Planet Vegeta! No more will we be forced to live in wastelands, now we will rule in cities that put those of the Tuffles to shame! No more will we be stuck here fighting amongst ourselves! Now the Saiyans will roam the universe, laying waste to any who would oppose us! This is our golden age!"

"From now on, Saiyans will work in teams," the king explains. "These teams will take on missions provided by Frieza and his organization. They will travel to many worlds and either conquer or destroy the inhabitants. Success will be rewarded with wealth and glory!"

You hear excited murmurs from everyone.

"So form your teams as soon as possible," the king instructs. "Oh, and one more thing. I have a special announcement. Many of you know of Catseara, the strongest female of our race. Well, I have decided to name her my queen!"

You see the Saiyan woman at his side give an arrogant smirk.

"Now, ready your teams for battle," King Vegeta instructs.

Your scouter puts her power at about 660, making her only slightly more powerful than you.

"He's a weakling and a pathetic excuse for a fighter," the woman insists. "And I'd never follow someone like that."

You throw a punch with your right hand, surprising even yourself with your new speed.

The woman catches the punch, but the scowl on her face tells you she was caught by surprise as well. You punch with your other hand, and she catches it as well.

She smirks, and pulls her left leg back. You lift your right leg just in time to block a knee-strike before throwing your head forward and catching her in the face.

She releases her grip on your hands, staggering back and bringing her own hands to her face. Once you land, you spring forward and land a solid punch that causes her head to turn right and forces her to take another step back.

With a yell, you slam your knee into her gut, then bring your hands together and hit her with a double-handed smash in the side of her head, knocking her off her feet and onto her side.

You hear some shocked sounds from nearby Saiyans, while the woman scowls at you, thrusting her hands towards you and firing a barrage of energy from her palms.

You land on your back, looking up to see the woman rising back to her feet. She holds her palms toward you, and they begin to glow with pink energy.

The energy takes the form of a large sphere that grows in front of her palms. With a yell, the woman unleashes the energy, sending it barreling towards you.

Smoke temporarily obscures your vision of your foe, but your scouter detects that she's still down there.

The woman's blast strikes the ground below you, and you continue to rise safely above it. You stop your ascent and raise your right hand back behind your head, creating a small ball of energy and hurling it down at the woman.

Her eyes widen before she's struck in the face, falling back and going still.

You're fairly certain that you didn't kill her with that blast, but you did wound her badly, and probably either forced her into unconsciousness, or put her into too much pain to move.

In any case, you're in a lot of pain and low on energy.

You see a group of warriors in Frieza's armor rush toward the woman, picking her up and carrying her away.

One of those octopus-headed creatures flies over to you, looking at you with some concern, but mostly disbelief, though whether it's at your victory, or the fact that you just fought such an intense battle with your own kind, you aren't sure.

The two of you descend to ground, and walk into one of the massive buildings, working your way down a long hallway lined with doors.

"So, how did Frieza recruit you guys?" you ask as you move.

"He conquered my world," the alien explains. "And he gave us the choice to serve him or be destroyed. Obviously, we chose to serve."

At the end of the hallway is a room consisting of computers and large tanks filled with some sort of liquid. You see that the woman, who is now in nothing but her undergarments, is sitting in one of the tanks, a breathing apparatus attached to her, along with several wires. Liquid surrounds her, and she appears to be unconscious.

A green-skinned, red-haired, reptilian creature with three fingers on each hand turns away from the tank, approaching you and helping the other alien move you along.

"I don't know what you two were thinking, but you gave each other quite a beating," he comments as he leads you to an empty tank. "You're lucky you chose now to do it; a few days ago your planet didn't have the technology to fix you up after a battle like that."

The two aliens help you into the tank, and place the apparatus over your mouth before attaching the various wires.

They step back, and the tank begins to close.

"Now relax, you'll be all better in no time," the alien promises.

Your eyes close, and you fall asleep.

Your eyes open to the sight of the reptilian alien standing outside of your tank. He presses a button on a console in front of the tank, and the liquid drains out. The tank opens, and you remove the apparatus along with the wires.

He places your armor back down. "In any case, this armor is damaged pretty badly, but Frieza has issued armor to every Saiyan, so you're in luck. And you should also be glad to know he decided to issue every Saiyan Warrior those energy sensing devices you developed."

"And I have both right here," Soko says from the doorway.

He's decked out in new battle armor, and equipped with his blue scouter. He tosses you some armor, and a green scouter to go with it.

You quickly get dressed and check to make sure everything works. That's when you notice that Soko's looking at you in shock.

"No way..." he comments.

You see that he's using his scouter, and activate your own, eyes widening as it clocks your power at 800.

"No way...man, you and Rugula got a lot stronger from that fight," he comments.

You figure he must be referring to the woman you fought.

She takes a step toward you, looking you dead in the eye. You can see deep anger in her own, but also fierce determination befitting a Saiyan Warrior.

"You want me to join your team? Fine, I will," she tells you. "But let me make one thing clear. I'm only going to do this is because one day I'll become stronger than you again. And when that happens, I want to kill you myself for humiliating me like that."

Soko chuckles. "My reasons aren't nearly that dramatic, but I'll join your team too."

The three of you could be enough for a small team, but perhaps you'd better find some more members.
