She raises a hand in silent, awkward response. Her right hand.

It's...not her hand anymore. It's a straight up bionic fist, painted a rather dark, ruddy red. Somewhat resembling Kharn's oversized claws in their stark inhumanity, yet clearly mechanical rather than anything vaguely demonic and disturbing.

"I was planning on showing it off to you right after you woke up, see how cool it is and everything, but...you know." The hand disappears from sight, before it's replaced by Kyoko herself, the red-haired Eversor peeking meekly from over the lip of your bed's thin matress, like a puppy trying to ascertain whether its owner had already forgiven it for murdering a well-loved chair with its teeth. "You're not...you're not mad, are you?"

Going by what we saw inside her head at the time, the thoughts were those of TTO, she referred to herself as such. The flood of memories that were TTO had to be stopped, most of those doors closed while others had to be opened for Chiaki to take back control.

They're separate, but connected. The TTO was manifesting, but that's because she can manifest in any Homura that has that mental connection opened.
And when she left, she most likely left some backdoors open so that she could take control again.

Well, Kyoko's new bionic arm aside, is there anything else you missed while you were dead to the world? Whatever it is, you want to know about, even if she thinks it isn't important or not.

And who do you have to yell at to get some food around here? Real food, mind, not the bland, tasteless crap that they shove down your throat whenever you're unlucky enough to warrant a stay here.

"Oh, food! Yeah, sure, give me a minute!" Quick as a shot, Kyoko bolts out of your room - before coming back almost immediately, a multi-tiered metal lunch box gripped in both hands. "Gotcha covered!"

This she disassembles with the practiced ease and efficiency of a Vindicare field-stripping a rifle - and in no time flat, your own bed is playing host to an impromptu banquet of rice, fried eel, boiled shrimp and egg rolls, each one in its own canister. There's also a small, shrink-wrapped package of seedless grapes, probably for dessert.

"Since Mami's away and Midori's uh, takin' a sabbatical and everything, I thought to make food for ya instead, Murderface, since I know you hate the food here just as much as I do." Kyoko says with no small amount of pride. "Been wakin' up really early to make 'em everyday, just in case you woke up!"

...Really? You blink down at the canisters full of food. Well, she didn't really need to go through all this trouble, it's not like you can't choke down hospital food, but--

"No buts! You need real food to get back in condition, 'specially after what happened!" Kyoko pokes your cheek with a metal finger, the delicate servos of its knuckles purring. "'Sides, it wasn't really a waste anyway. I just ate what I made if you didn't wake up before lunch, or shared it with one of the nurses watchin' over ya." She cackles here, before shoving a pair of chopsticks into your hands. "Go on, dig in!"

As you slowly make your way through the packed lunch Kyoko made for you, she begins to tell you about everything you've missed in the past nine days.

Sayaka's departure, apparently, was Kyuubey's way of damage control: the incident in Silent Room Regalia had alerted enough Culexus abroad that the Ninth was inundated with requests asking what the hell was going on, and if they needed emergency assistance. Without Mami to smooth things over, it was up to your Equerry - and Acting Warmaster - to make sure that no Officio suddenly had the bright idea to send people over and find out just what really happened. The official story, apparently - and you find it hard to believe that Sayaka would be up for something like this, considering how huge the stick up her ass is - is that it was just a catastrophic malfunction of a faulty, unused Silent Room - nothing more.

Then there was Kharn's arrival from Siberia, a couple of days ago. She was her usual charismatic self, apparently, despite wearing 'clothes that you'd see an expectant mom wearing'. You tried to imagine kind of clothing fit that profile, until Kyoko told you herself: a fluffy ribbed sweater and black pencil skirt combo. What was apparently unbelievable was that even though Kharn told everyone that she might be giving birth any day now, all they could see - at least from the contours of the form-hugging sweater - was just the tiniest suggestion of a pot belly.

Kharn visited you immediately after her arrival, and had made it a point to spend some time with you alone, with the lights in your quarters shut off. She came back quiet and withdrawn, before declaring that she'd be staying until you woke up. In the meantime, she was helping Misaka with the repair and reconstruction of Tiny Pete.

"Besides Wendy gettin' snapped up by some of the folks over at the Church, an' Kyuubey locking himself in his office with instructions for us not to interrupt him for anythin' unless it was really important - you didn't miss anything else, Murderface." Kyoko finishes her explanation.

What about Mami? Has there really been no word from her? From the First?

"Not really, no." Kyoko shakes her head. "Apparently there's a huge dust-up going on up there that's blocking off communication or somewhat, so the moon's a no-go for now."

...Ngh. Just when you needed Mami the most. Kyoko's a big help and all, and you're glad she stuck it out beside you this entire time, but...

"I know, Murderface. I miss her too." Your best friend murmurs, wistful. "Feels like she's the only one who can make sense of all this, and fix it just like that." She snaps her metal fingers.

Yeah. ...Anyway, about the security detail...it's pretty obvious they're not exactly from the Ninth, are they, despite the armor. So where are they from?

Got here like, a few hours before Sayaka could even get dressed for her fucking trip, making a scene about how their mutant alien cat wants to extend the hand of friendship and brotherhood to our mutant alien cat with a 'sincere gesture of assistance', and that they weren't gonna leave until they know that the situation's clear. He just made them wear our armor so there wouldn't be anyone talking - like what we're doin' now.

You wince at this, before suddenly realizing that the two of you have been talking about...well, the sort of thing Kyuubey doesn't want to get leaked out. And they've been standing just outside, so how--

"Yeah, nah, Kyuubey's thought of that, too." Kyoko grins. "Had Enishi cloak your room and Midori's with her Callidus bullshit. Top level, secret family technique stuff, the kind that even Culexus can't detect. Right now all they hear from us is the most inane shit possible, like fashion or food or whatever. We just gotta make sure we don't talk about anything important outside." She glances back towards the line of shadows in the corridor outside. "Fuckin' dildoes, each and every one of 'em."

Hnh. Well, at least Kyuubey still has his head on straight, despite everything else.
