It’s finally time.
For months you have been leading your brothers in arms in preparing for this moment. Stockpiling gunpowder and ammunition, stealing guns, enlisting local support, and rallying the populace to your cause. You feel like an unstoppable tidal wave is crashing towards the Citadel with you at it’s head. It’s the final night before the slaughter, your associates and allies from each district huddle around a table with a map of the Capitol held in place by several daggers. In order to keep with the element of surprise, your fraternity has outlined three possible plans of attack to get to the Citadel, and tonight is the night of choosing. Weeks of training and guerilla warfare within the city streets have prepared you for this. The reckoning of the royal family is finally here.

Which plan to do you choose?
>A spearhead through the distillery district led by the local mob’s thugs
>A wide front sweeping through every district of the city, going south to north supplemented by militia from the slums
>A direct march through the middle of the city straight to the citadel, rallying the people behind you as you go

The plans are made, and you and your allies turn to bed for a final sleep before the uprising.
A few hours later you’re up. It was a restless night, but now that you’re awake and in the moment, you feel fresh. Like a world of possibilities is open in front of you. Key men were made aware of the choice of plan the night before and now you stand poised at the Southern gates of the city, the downtrodden and oppressed around you, armed with whatever they could grab, hoping, praying for a new future to come along with your ascendance. With a rousing cry you signal for the advance, your lieutenants, all fellow university students like yourself will lead the flanks up the Eastern and Western sides of the city, while you take the middle. Onward to freedom you go!

The dream is dead. Your men were stopped less than a quarter of the way through the city, the poor from the slums were passionate, but not very brave. Weak and used to being trampled on they broke in the face of the cruel and well equipped Royal Guardsmen. Your own fellow students taking up the rear quickly fell and were either killed or captured as well, you had been relying on gunpowder weapons to give you an advantage, but a light drizzle from the overcast sky all but nullified that bonus.
You find yourself being dragged up to the guillotine on the public square. Glassy, blank eyes stare up at you from the heads of your allies as you’re dragged up the blood soaked steps. You kneel before the guillotine with your head hung in defeat, the boss of the Distillery District Mob smirks down at you from the Crown-Prince’s side, seems that he was the one that sold you and your friends out to the Royals. You ready yourself for death. All at once, you are forced to your feet by the Crown-Prince.
“However, let it not be said that we are not merciful!”
From the vantage point in the execution square you can see fires throughout the Southern quarter of the city where retribution is being inflicted on the slums.
“This is a noble man! Misguided, yes, but noble nonetheless, and we see that you all do love him.”
You were an inspiring leader, one that the people truly trusted and believed in, but it seems you weren’t forceful enough. People would follow you, but not into battle.
“So! Rather than feed him to the rats like these traitors, he will be banished on pain of death from the Capitol! Yes! He will live my friends!”
Your shame is to last longer, it seems. The Crown-Prince turns to you.
“In fact, I’ve had so much fun watching your pretentious little rebellion get slaughtered, I’ll even let you choose where to go.”

His speech finishes to a stunned silence, still rocked by the tragedies of the day, the crowd staggers home, to what is hopefully left of their families.
In your dank cell, you consider your options. Your revolution, your allies, your friends. All dead. But the dream of freedom is not. Perhaps you can raise a true rebellion in one of the other lands?
>Request to be sent to the North-East, the snowy home of the fiercely independent Urodin, they are known to be savage warriors, but they value their pride above all else. They would likely be willing to join a revolution with little persuasion, but they will have their own conditions on their involvement.
>Request to be sent to the South. The second most populous region in the Kingdom, where the Irdu are oppressed and forced to work in the blazing heat of the Kingdom’s mines. A savage and sandy badlands, cities and tribes are entirely oppressed and in the thrall of the Royal Family. The population is for the most part complacent with their terrible treatment, but there are whisperings of a rebellious coalition of tribes and cities.
>Request to be sent to the North-West. A beautiful temperate zone, inhabited by colonists from the Capitol. It is the breadbasket of the Kingdom, and where the writings on Freedom and Republicanism originated. The populace is split fairly evenly between those who wish to be independent from the Capitol and loyalists. It could be difficult to start a revolution here with a populace that would fight itself, but it would also give you a vice grip on the Capitols food supply.
