The process while slow will eventually reach a point where wide spread testing and use is viable.

>Ancient djinni scroll – This scroll has been determined to be restricted to only djinn. Its exact effects remain unknown so you will need to either give it to Ayla or another djinn to discover what it does. Hestia assures you that it is unlikely to be harmful in anyway.

>Crimson and pale ice blue transparent crystal – Hestia has forwarded the data on this crystal’s ability to increase magical reserves to the researchers to improve implants with. The luck increase and evil ward enchantments are also now available for use. Unfortunately the crystal was lost during the test for molecular coherence, Hestia notes that the disintegrator easily destroyed the crystal.

>Purification swarm – Hestia was most impressed with these creatures you have created. The trinity of organic, robotic, and energy create an organism that is able to infect both organic and non-organic beings. The infection does nothing unless the taint of Iblis is present, in which case without causing harm to the host the taint is purged and destroyed. You hear threats and whispers of revenge as Hestia displays this report.

>Hive city reconstruction and takeover – Hestia’s newfound processing capability has rendered this project nearly complete. The rapid change has shocked some residents, as they went to sleep in slums but woke up in relatively luxurious apartments. Robots enforce your total control of the city level's you control, currently 500-300. 75% complete.

>Purification swarm – The creatures you’ve created are exponentially growing as they purge Djinnistan of Iblis’ taint. Hestia has determined that the swarm is benign to demons or other evil creatures so she has released swarms across all your controlled territories. 2% complete. Again whispers plague you when the report is displayed.


Important notes

>Casino gang – The gang and population is at a loss the change was far too rapid to be normal. Vicky wants to speak with you again as soon as possible.

>Administration – Hestia’s sudden surge of construction has the patrols and soldiers worried. Their moral is greatly lowered despite being reinforced with even more powerful troops and robots.


“Did you hear that whisper when the reports swarms’ status was displayed?” You ask Hestia.

“No unexpected sounds were detected,” Hestia says, “Now you have something important to do, please come with me.”


Hestia cleverly uses a previously designed program to pilot her organic body while focusing entirely on the ongoing construction to keep her thoughts hidden. It does make her unresponsive as she guides you out of the room. Looking around at the room for the first time you see that the entire room is designed to have soft comfortable surfaces. The floor is no exception, but Hestia’s programs use material alteration to keep it stiff and easy to walk across for now.

There are no frills, the room currently is currently nothing more than a hastily constructed giant bed set aglow with a gentle pinkish light and a faint stimulating music gently plays. The drones are hard at work cleaning the aftermath of taking in the succubi, be again Hestia has preprogrammed them to not reveal her surprise.


When you exit the room you are inside your mansion, you hear the chatter of your girls coming from a room you’ve never bothered using before, the dining room. Hestia’s body gently guides you to the room, surprise or execution you are unsure after what happened.


Ayla, Katherine, Elizabeth and Aurora are all talking with each other. The twins are a bit jealous that Aurora is, despite her resistance, gaining popularity for staring in holo programs. You see that succubi are being used as maidservants. Ayla in particular is enjoying ordering them to refill her cup with mana potions. The friendly chatter dies down when you enter the room, you get accusatory stares from the twins and Ayla. Aurora isn’t sure if she should be mad because succubi maids are pretty cool after all.

“I see that you are unhappy with this arrangement,” Hestia says, returning her focus to her organic body, “I made the decision so please direct complaints to me.”


True to her word Hestia attempts to take responsibility.

“I’m pretty sure master is more are fault here,” Ayla says as she drains her glass instantly, “because I don’t think you could have made them all not be evil anymore, Hestia.”

Ayla’s casual detection of the nature of the succubi, helps ease worries a bit. The twins are going to speak with Marissa about her ‘daughter’ though for sure.


In the end you have a lovely breakfast with the girls who live with you. The highlight for everyone was no doubt the screams of terror from the succubus leader as her breakfast delivery of meat to Nantosuelta goes wrong. The succubus leader had been forced to undergo testing to see if she really has draconic heritage, and if so Nana is going to personally train her.

I assume most people don't, I had hoped the idea to give her one would get you to talk to her, so i never mentioned it.

The succubi clear the table, and the mana potions much to Ayla displeasure, and the twins give you their standard simultaneous hugs and kisses. This time they pull you in for more and remind you that the children are going to be here soon. There is an underlying warning to be there with them when it is time, but they are happy you spent some time with them, and everyone, before they head back to the research center.


“This show is going to be huge, but it lacks a satisfying conclusion,” Ayla tells you about her holo programs, “we need to find more cool things to fight, like another dragon.”

Ayla’s smoke is denied as she tries to steal the carafe of mana potion from the succubus carrying it, so she wanders off a bit upset. Seconds later she speeds back into the room, hugs you fiercely and exclaims, “I forgot to say goodbye!”


Ayla rushes off again to play with Sazglangolor, leaving you alone with Aurora and Hestia. Aurora shifts uncomfortably, unsure what to do.

“Uh, thanks for breakfast,” she tries to make small talk.

“Aurora, you’ve been here for a while and I can sense that you are pregnant,” you tell her while pulling an amulet from your bag, “I think you should have one of these and we can spend some time getting to know each other.”


Aurora blushes and pulls an amulet out from under her shirt. She didn’t really want to know she stole, err, took a few of them.

“Ayla was talking about them already and I looked through your stuff for one already,” she admits, “one, or three. Elizabeth wanted one too, and her sister was there.”

Aurora trails off in her confession expecting you to be angry at her.


“I thought the twins took some already,” you say remembering when you were meditating and all the girls were teasing you at Hestia’s insistence. You can feel Hestia reviewing the footage from that day, but she doesn’t say.

“I don’t know ask them,” Aurora shrugs, the glow of the amulet seems to not be visible to her or she is used to it already because she stows it away without a care.


“It should be clear now that no one here is going to betray you, so perhaps you can share your secret with us now?” you ask Aurora.

She is uncomfortable about sharing –that- since it always gets her into trouble, but she eventually decides that she can trust you because of your relationship.


“I can keep things someplace else,” Aurora says finally, “all I know is that once word got out the research division and –they- started chasing me.”

She demonstrates by making her knife appear and vanish a few times. You think you could stop her, or access the space she is storing things if you exerted your will with your domain, but that would probably scare her. Hestia is very interested in Aurora’s ability, but keeps quiet since Aurora doesn’t want to be studied.

“By –they- I thought you always meant the researchers,” you say.

“No way, the researcher just have robots and tasers, -them-” Aurora shudders thinking about people with no faces, “it’s just weird okay.”


You manage to get a bit more out of her, she was born here as far as she can tell and she tried to join the administration but failed the tests so was stuck living in the slums. When her power developed is when the researchers and internals started hunting her. It is a bit surprising that she could avoid the internals but it seems that it was mostly luck. The good news for her is that the gangs above have been destroyed, she may have owed a few of them but since they are gone it doesn’t matter.

“So how about those succubi,” Aurora is a bit unsure how to continue the conversation.

“I will handle them for now,” Hestia says, “they are learning much quicker than before.”

It’s at this point that you remember that you forgot to give the presents to everyone.


“Aurora would you mind giving these to everyone?” You give her and Hestia their djinn jewelry and dresses separately before arranging the rest on the table.


“Yea, yea sure thing,” Aurora replies while closely examining the flawlessly shaped gems.

“Hestia, when you get a chance I’d like Aurora to have her own personal hover car for helping,”

“When the project is finished I will make the arrangements,” Hestia says while slipping the sapphires on, they are a bit darker than her blue but she still likes them.


Aurora is too surprised by the priceless jewelry and hover car to think right now, so you decide to give her time to process everything.

“Vicky wanted to see me, so would you mind teleporting me up?” you ask Hestia.

She smiles at you and a flash of light sends you away.


The casino is bustling with even more business than before, rather than the old dark outdated design the casino is brightly lit, blues and whites show Hestia’s clear touch in the redesign. Fountains and plants are arranged to make the space more like a resort than a casino. The androids patrol ceaselessly, causing a bit of unease with their unnatural behavior, but overall the people are much happier with things.

You wander about a bit looking over Hestia’s designs. The inner ring around the hole to the pit holds the manufacturing and administration areas, this keeps the customers in relative safety should something drop from above to attack. The reconstructed casino takes up the entire level now, not just a small maintained portion, giving space for the massive increase in holo theaters, rooms, parks, restaurants, and more that Hestia has installed. It looks more like Hestia just built and entire resort city rather than fixing up the old casino, and from the occasional open air view upwards there are multiple floors like this to service the vast population.


While sleek and modern, each level seems to have its own theme, and this level’s theme Is Japan. Giant robots are more prevalent that the androids, which makes the people happy. The signs all being in Japanese doesn’t help anyone, but the main draw here are the robots and Pachinko.


When you head to an elevator to head to another level to check out a group of suits flag you down, you recognize one of them from the way he rubs his chest when he sees you. Vicky’s men take you to her new office, set into one of the higher levels with massive windows to look over the ongoing operation. The men immediately leave you alone with her when she nods to them.


“Well I must say, no one expected this,” Vicky says turning her back to you and looking out over the new area, “this isn’t a casino any longer, it is a fancy resort.”


“Why even bother keeping us around?” Vicky turns to ask you, she is a bit worried what the response will be.

“You clearly didn’t need the gang at all,” she says.

“More or less, it was just a whim of mine,” you say thinking about how the gang is little better than rapists and murderers or bullies at best, “there were some uses for you though.”

Vicky remembers the scene of the Don’s death and doesn’t doubt your callous disregard for the lives of the gang.


“Before Hestia reconstructed everything, the gang knew the area and the people, so the balance of power would remain in place, and it did more or less,” you tell Vicky, “the gangs contacts will now be helpful in having the goblins integrate into everyone’s lives.”

“That may be true, but if it were just a whim, then there must be something more keeping in alive,” Vicky says, she has lost hope at this point in placing herself into your good graces.


“I don’t see any reason to kill everyone, even if some of the gang probably deserves it,” you tell her, looking at her in that suit, and the strength she tries to portray you would be kidding yourself if you didn’t have another reason, and the urge to do something silly to her like when you ruffled her hair before grows.


“Or maybe I just wanted you,” you say, you have a lot of women already and the succubi, but you just can’t help yourself from wanting more.


This surprises her, since Vicky was sure that you were not interested, you do already drag pinky and the blonde around with you.

“Enough of that for now, what did you really want?” you ask her.

“Weapon and shields,” Vicky has a cocky smile now, and she flips her hair back, “There is a damn army amassing above our turf, unless you or your robots and goblins are going to do something about it my boys need protection.”

“Hestia’s construction is ahead of schedule now,” you explain to Vicky, “I’ll ask her to move additional forces, to counter the build up.”

“That does little to help my boys,” Vicky says, she is trying her best to be flirty but she is obviously out of practice, “weapons would do a hell of a lot more.”


“I’ll go check on the situation myself,” you decide, “that should handle your complaints for now.”

You build up some mana and use the beacon spell to mark Vicky’s office, while you finish talking.

“I’ll still be pushing for more weapons when you come, we are gangsters, even your robot government thing doesn’t sit right with us,” Vicky tell you, “we like freedom, even if it gets us into trouble.”


You finish up your visit to Vicky with some shameless flirting, but you choose not to seal the deal this time. You do have some work to do so you leave her to do whatever it is she does.


A patrolling android is not hard to find since they have perfect routes, you note that some refugees are amusing themselves by placing objects in the androids’ paths, with all the holo theaters and casino games they should have better things to do with their time but you ignore them.

“Hestia, do you mind sending me up to the administration’s forces and amassing a counter force to their build up?” you ask the patrolling android.


“I was going to not provoke them, but if you desire to start things then I will move robots higher immediately,” The android turns to speak with you in Hestia’s voice, “I will send you to their main staging area.”


A flash of light puts you down an alleyway, you sense the patrolling troops. There are tens of thousands of them just on this level alone and you occasionally see robots moving around. Thanks to Hestia’s precision teleport your arrival has gone undetected.

You carefully edge towards the streets and the chaos of the scanning frequencies from the robots hits you hard as you realize suddenly that you’ve been subconsciously ignoring the expansion of your senses. The entire electromagnetic spectrum bombards you and it takes a second to readjust to it all, just taking it in stride and having the entire world be brighter and more colorful seems to help but it may be a good idea to take some time to practice excluding the extra information.


You take a deep breath and stalk through the streets, moving between the robot’s scanner s and staying out of view of the patrolling soldiers. When you have to stay put to avoid them you take the time to read the minds of everyone present.

The soldiers don’t know much, their orders are just to protect the main base, most of them were fed propaganda and are ready to defend against the invaders from below. On a whim you look for a Richie but no one in this detachment seems to know anyone named that.


You pick up several unusual signatures in people’s minds, all identical. The people seem to have alternate personalities lurking deep within their minds, you think they may be internals, but the others don’t treat them any differently so they must be in deep cover.

As you sneak closer to the main base you find that inside the base there are a group of six people who have stronger minds, their mental defense might as well be nonexistent to you however.

They are a detachment from the magic division, they are preparing a massive ritual spell to, if successful, would sever the lower levels you now occupy, causing them to fall to the pit. You can’t get into their main base without at least the robots detecting you.


You try to go slightly incorporeal to pass through a wall to avoid a patrol, but when you do your hand vanishes, followed by the rest of your arm. Then you start sinking into the ground as your legs vanish next, when the process finishes you see the patrol walk past you as though you are not even there. Your power makes it easy enough to stay on this level, but you can’t interact with matter right now, and no one can seem to see you.


With how rapidly your power is changing you are starting to think you should just let Hestia have a field day with you, getting an objective study of what is happening may be useful.

Well this seems bad, you can’t let them do whatever this severing is going to do so you float slowly to through walls as you get closer and closer to the main base. The robots don’t seem to notice you so you explore around their main base a bit before seeking out the magic division group.


You find a carelessly left behind series of plans that the troops are going to take if the magic fails, they don’t seem up to date but it could be useful for Hestia to plan things from so take them when you sense nothing will notice. You try not to think about how your backpack or clothes came with you in your new incorporeal state and put the plans away.

The mages are concentrating around a complex ritual circle, occasionally using magical components to alter the circle more. It isn’t difficult to simply alter the ritual to be completely useless when completed, you make it so a swarm of tiny confetti golems will be summoned. That should be sufficiently useless and harmless to only annoy them.

Then you check through the mages minds a bit more closely, they are all annoyed that they have to do this rather than study more magic. They don’t seem to know or care why they are doing it, so you just alter their minds a bit so that the summoning will not be messed up by their continued work.

Then you release the power keeping you floating and sink through the floor, allowing gravity to do its job you drop down several levels until you think nothing will detect your magic and you teleport back to Hestia’s office. The spell makes the world slowly fade away and get replaced by your target destination.


When you become corporeal again, the researcher trying to convince Hestia of permitting dissection of phoenixes is startled by your appearance.


“No, the phoenixes are not to be studied in such a manner, unless you wish to risk Ayla’s wrath,” Hestia explains and sends the researcher out.


“I trust your trip was successful,” she turns to speak with you, “I am however curious as to how you managed to avoid my sensors and arrive here, there is a slight disturbance in hyper space and I feel as though I knew something was there. Conformation bias possibly.”


“I just seem to be able to do it now, it seems to be mostly instinct,” you tell her while retrieving the stolen plans, “these plans may interest you. They are trying to destroy all the lower levels and drop us into the pit, they don’t seem to care that it will kill all the people. If you don’t mind gravity neutralizers should be installed to protect from such an eventuality.”


Hestia quickly examines the plans and recalculates deployment to take them into account.

“I doubt that these old plans will be used, but I have prepared just in case,” Hestia tells you, “as for protecting the levels under our control I have already thought of such an outcome. They did the same thing before with the research rings so I assumed that it would happen once more and prepared the appropriate countermeasures.”

“Do you want to research some more?” You ask Hestia.

“I do not believe that you have any more items of interest, so what do you have in mind?” She asks.

“There has been something unusual going on with me, alteration of previous abilities and physical senses,” You tell her, “and I seem to draw energy from everyone, the goblins and more recently the succubi in particular.”


“We can skip the physical examination for now, that we covered already,” Hestia says. She teleports you to a room filled with equipment. The machinery flows around the room like water as Hestia’s power touches it, restructuring it and its function to maximize her study of you.


It takes some time but Hestia determines that your eyes can now detect all electromagnetism. A bit stranger was that her tests have determined that you have a new sense that you previously didn’t really notice, the elements you can control act as conduits through which you can gather information.


Hestia also determines that you are a renewable source of mana and powered devices purely by the mana flowing out of you. It takes several hours to control your mana leaking, which was fine because it took Hestia several hours to calculate that your incorporeality is now shunting you out of phase. With practice you should be able to simply be only incorporeal or invisible even.

Hestia is more amused that while your body is normally unable to be altered, if you want to you can attach machinery or organic parts to yourself and they operate as intended. It takes some time to convince her not to install various mechanical parts into you, you consider the cyber interface but leave it alone for now to continue testing.

You describe the feeling of worship to Hestia a bit more and she makes you test the connection by sending power along the connection to her. You try to make her faster so the construction will finish as soon as possible. She indicates that it worked, but then makes you send power to the goblins.

The lake side district is the same as always and when you try to ring Helen’s house there is no response. Next door there is no response at Evangeline’s place either. You sense around for people nearby and find Evangeline’s mind, she seems to be where she always is, so you go over to talk with her at her fountain.


She has her eyes closed and is meditating, trying to protect her mind and strengthen her psychic power.

The power of the spell reaches its peak, the ritual circle reaches its final form as the tears of a snow maiden are absorbed to finish the last steps in the spell. The six mages from the magic division pour the last of their magical reserves into triggering the catastrophic spell. Billions will die as a result of this singular action and it will take hundreds of years to rebuild a stable population once again. Orders are orders however and you can’t allow your hidden conduit’s presence be detected so you are forced to watch as the magic triggers.


The ground doesn’t rumble, there is no sudden severing of the lower levels, you don’t feel anything impact the pit. Instead tiny pieces of colored paper flies out of the magic ritual circle. The paper swirls about forming little golems, thousands of little golems are created from the spell. The mages have no idea what is going on, a few of the higher ranked soldiers attempt to kill the golems but every blow just causes them to replicate. The internal creatures nearly break their cover in their attempts to mentally dominate the golems, but the golems are totally mindless so mental control has no effect on them.


You can’t help but laugh as your conduit is swarmed by the tiny golems. They are totally harmless but scatter about tiny colorful bits of paper everywhere they go making an extraordinary mess. You conclude that only one person would have done this - Reginald.

How unfortunate the Reginald remains, independent, someone as amusing as him would keep you entertained for a long time. You will just have to continue to pester him into joining you.
