So Ixel, before I keep hitting my head on a wall. Is there a way to get brood and machine to agree with each other in a mutation way or something?

I know from my studies that the infestation likes to eat the parts as a resource more than assimilating. I can get why from what little I saw of the brood ships at the black site. Yet I'm trying to go for a more underhanded path with the brood. While true that with this new form I was given has shown brood's great strength. I want to see about assimilating fleets under our command.

Basically give normal ships a grand boon with brood tech AI(s) controlling things. The hivemind would lead to some great tactics. Yet even other things like taking over the enemies ships with brood spy units. I guess we could call them .... peepers? ... Na I think creepers fit better. Anyways the idea I had is they would take hold and the enemy would never know till we turn their own ships upon them.

I thought to would max use of resources and limit people seeing our actions till the time was right.

After you got some AI's in on the problems and records that was when you got an answer. The brood changes depending on the pressures put on them, guidance, and finally sheer chance. Now what sticks around is either what works or improves. The other stuff is put aside once its no longer necessary.

Whats real strange however is the 'trimming' that will go on. The Brood somehow don't have junk DNA and even strangely some of their genes will literally disappear...then later reemerge later or changed. Sometimes not even in the same organism.

However true prediction is impossible. There is just too much that can change even if you can correctly guess what their selective pressures will result in. Guidance and sheer random mutation can easily fuck that up.

I also just remembered that one of Abigail's goals was to become a proficient Dual Wield Sniper.

That is, carrying two semi-automatic self loading sniper rifles in both hands, and through a combination of Magic/Psi or Tech be able to accurately pinpoint multitudes of targets from vast distances, calculate the trajector for a shot in a split second, and fire at them in rapid succession. Being able to kill dozens of targets moving at different directions through well planned shots, even being able to snipe at units in between friendlies.

Think Clint Eastwood except the badguys are miles away. It's like having 12 different snipers in one body.
