Hestia has drones escort the two of them back to where they want to go, leaving you with just Ayla and Izulu. Izulu’s brain hurts from trying to read the reports with you, and Ayla is playing with rocks she summoned, trying to figure out how you made gravity vanish.

A flash of light signals Hestia transporting you far away, a crate of new weapons is deposited along with you near the location of the creatures.

Ayla and Izulu are uninterested in the weapons, but Evangeline closely examines the graviton rifle she takes. She tries stripping it down, but gets confused how some of the parts work so she just reassembles it.


“These guns are incredible!” She beams, “Does that mean the power armor is going to be upgraded too?”

“Yes, Hestia has already designed weapons for the power armor, they are a bit too weak to battle dragons with still though,” you say.

“Why would you even try fighting a dragon?” Evangeline wonders , “You didn’t go fight that one in hell did you.”


“Master is stronger than the dragon!” Ayla loudly announces, Izulu cawing along with her, “It got its soul eaten!”

Evangeline wonders about that soul eating thing again. All the yelling however has attracted the attention of some of the fleshy masses. With a horrible gurgling they start crawling towards your group.

My cents on bonuses at every 100 stats.
We broke a few of Apophis's toys when we killed the water dragon. So, he had to scrap a few things, the stat bonuses were meant to be rare and special, and with our new draconic abilities they aren't. So he's stopped it, if we play nice he might decide to give us some later.

I don’t recall saying you get extra things at every 100, I already hesitantly put that in for dexterity movement speed because otherwise you only get the same effect as being permanently hasted. You stash the guns and decide to play around with Evangeline, little tugs and pushes of telekinesis makes all her shots miss.

“You idiot! Stop that I know it’s you doing this,” Evangeline complains, so you lift her into the air and float her over to you. You wrap an arm around her and look her dead in the eye, her heart is aflutter and she leans into the embrace and starts closing her eyes-

“We became dragons after the fight,” you interrupt her romantic daydream, to incinerate a nearby fleshy mass by pretending to breathe fire with your power to control the elements.


Evangeline’s jaw drops she can’t believe you just did that, you’re just teasing her right, you’re not really a dragon. No! Ayla and the bird are doing it now too, what is going on. She is so confused and her thoughts are racing uncontrolled.


You hold Evangeline tight and float around with your gravity control breathing fire at the fleshy masses. Ayla and Izulu, being able to hear your thoughts play along and pretend to be dragons, Ayla even shape shifts to have a tail, horns and scales.

“Stop! Idiot!” Evangeline starts struggling and breaks free of your grasp, her eyes go wide as she thinks she is going to fall to the ground, but you just keep her floating beside you.

“It was just a joke,” you tell her.

“Not funny! Idiot!” She punches you as hard as she can, then opens fire at the fleshy masses to vent.


Ayla has grown in size and now has feathers and a beak, she is breathing lightning at the fleshy masses with Izulu. They are having too much fun to care that the joke is over.

I always felt that akira was susceptible to the personality wipe from psionics due to his age. Children don't have minds and personalities as developed as teenagers and adults. Tetsuo seemed to retain his personality up until the huge mutation shit, though his powers and personality both seemed a lot more volatile and unpredictable in nature (teenage hormones, amirite?)
I think adults would probably have the least trouble with power consuming them, since their egos are well established.

Izulu and Ayla continue playing around destroying all the creatures that come near them. The fleshy masses are totally unable to resist their onslaught.

Evangeline focuses on shooting and remains calm. The graviton beams tear the fleshy masses to shreds effortlessly. She wants you to treat her like an equal, so she is going to work harder from now on.


You decide to allow the girls to mop up the last of the creatures, with Evangeline safely kept floating in midair the fleshy masses are no threat to your group at all. So you start sifting through the garbage and corpses looking for soul orbs.

A few larger ones formed by combining but Evangeline’s graviton rifle killed them easily so the girls were able to finish off the last of the fleshy masses without any trouble at all. You do find a couple fleshy orbs, but you are not really sure if they are soul orbs or just eggs.

You pop an orb into your mouth and let Evangeline float gently back to the ground. The orb seems to get absorbed but you do not feel any energy flow into you at all.


“Is that it then?” Evangeline asks, she is a bit disgusted that you were jamming the corpses into your backpack, what are you really going to do with them?

“Yes, do you want to go with me up to the casino?” You ask Evangeline, “I have some business there.”

“I suppose that I have some spare time,” she says, she is happy to tag along.

“Well I better take Izulu to go make a cool show, dragon fight!~” Ayla returns to normal and leaps onto Izulu and they take off flying away back to the city.

“So just me and you then?” Evangeline smiles at you, “just no more jokes.”

“Actually let’s pick up Aurora before we go,” you say, and Evangeline frowns.


Hestia teleports you back to the city without warning, a drone is idling in your room and you sense two life forms off in the bathroom, “did you learn anything from your excursion?” Hestia asks.

Evangeline looks around, a bit surprised how unlived in your room looks. There is only a small area off to one side where Aurora has decided to start stashing things.

“The fleshy masses are not really a threat; with the graviton rifles the goblins will be able to clear them out,” You tell her.


Aurora walks out of the bathroom stark naked drying her hair while humming a song you don’t know., Evangeline starts checking out Aurora’s body trying to see what it is that attracted you to her instead. Aurora is so busy in her own little world that she doesn’t notice that anyone else is around until she almost bumps into Evangeline.


Evangeline and Aurora both turn red and start stammering at each other.

When you walk through the portal to the casino Aurora is still embarrassed, you had to remind her several times to take her disguise as she was too flustered to remember it. Evangeline is not making eye contact with either of you and keeps blushing when you look over to her.


With the pair of them following along behind you, you head to the office to wait for Vicky.


“I have informed Vicky of your arrival and she is coming to see you,” Hestia helpfully says, she sounds like she would be smirking right now.


A few minutes later Vicky finally arrives, you sense a few guards take up positions outside the room.

“Was this your doing?” Vicky asks and tosses a pile of newspapers onto the desk. It looks like a few days worth of reports of finding people mysteriously dead, all of them had strong ties to the slaver gang. She looks very tired and she didn’t bother with dolling herself up even a little bit.

“I took out the slavers yes, is that a problem?” You ask her.


She runs her hands through her hair and paces back and forth, she doesn’t even know what to say.

“If you had told me that you were going to terminate their entire gang, sure I would have laughed, but at least we would have been ready!” She exclaims, she is actually impressed but it has been a hell of a lot of work to keep things together in the ensuing chaos.


“Is there something that you need help with?”


“Taking some interest in this operation finally?” Vicky asks and taps the display on the desk, “Your partner has implemented a lot of changes, no one complained though because we saw more money coming in, but if think being hands off is going to work you are mistaken.”


Vicky goes over three of the main of problems that the turf under the control of the casino gang is experiencing and gives her recommendations on how to resolve everything, but she is worried that she isn’t a good enough leader to keep everything running smoothly.

She sighs and thinks about how her plan to get into the don’s good graces permanently by marrying Riche has been completely derailed and she’s not sure that you can be enticed the same way. Her eyes narrow as she looks over Aurora and Evangeline, but she switches her focus back to your question.

“We lost track of his deployment after the invasion out west, all the troops were scrambled, for all we know he is dead or working security for some rich family,” Vicky continues.

“That is fine, just call the search off I’ll have to look for him myself it sounds like,” you tell her.


It looks like that took a load off her mind, she starts thinking of how to redeploy the men to cover ther gangs turf.

“What would happen if we building out the burnt out old rusted remains into usable buildings and started distributing food and water?” You ask Vicky.

Both Evangeline and Aurora nod, they like this idea a lot and think that you should help the people who need it most.

“Are you insane?” Vicky starts laughing, she sees your expression remains the same and laughs harder.

“Will this be an acceptable set of weapons?” Hestia asks, and a set of guns are teleported onto the desk. You see that unlike the weapons she normally makes these have been imprinted with serial numbers on their parts. The guns themselves are not particularly impressive, just standard firearms. Vicky nearly loses her cool when she is surprised by the teleportation.


Evangeline is dismissive of the guns, and thinks about how much better the graviton rifle is.


“The pistol is fine, this is full auto too I see,” Vicky examines the guns, “yes these will work, we don’t really need the sniper rifles though.”

“Good, I have installed a self-destruct feature as well to prevent them from being captured,” Hestia states, “I will begin mass production immediately.”


“Let’s deploy drones as well, start from the bottom and move upwards, securing an area here for housing and manufacturing so we can begin distributing food and water,” you say.

“It will take me a considerable amount of time to complete a rebuilding of the entire structure, so housing will be low priority, manufacturing and food production will be expanded immediately,” Hestia informs you.


Vicky is at a loss, she doesn’t think you can really pull all this off. The money just doesn’t exist to do it.

Aurora and Evangeline squirm uncomfortably in their seats watching you, they want attention too, despite Evangeline’s mental insistence otherwise and she wants you to stop reading her mind.


Vicky’s breath quickens and as she thinks about how strong you are she blushes slightly, she doesn’t like being treated like a child though. You gently pat her head and move to leave.

“What the hell was that?!” She yells after you.


“I’ve got something to show you, you coming or what?” You ask and Evangeline and Aurora dart through the door after you, they avoid the gaze of Vicky’s guards.


Vicky stays in the room for a moment trying to regain her composure, before following after you.


You sense her guards take up position once again outside the room Hestia previously repurposed into the mirror portal defense room.


“That is another thing, what is this room, the boys are scared to come in here because the turrets track movement,” Vicky says following after you.


“You’ll see,” you walk through the portal, and wait for her on the other side, Hestia played along with you and folded space directly outside the portal to make it transport you directly into the lakeside district.


Vicky freezes and looks around slack jawed. Goblins and imps play around with children and phoenixes.

“What is this?” Vicky asks, to her the city looks better than the limited areas of the upper class floors she has seen. All of this that she is seeing on the other side of the portal is just too much.

One of the little girls grabs a hover board and uses it to rush over to talk to you. She keeps avoiding your eyes blushing hard. She pulls out what looks to be a bracelet crafted from a chain of living silver flowers.

“Thank you for saving us!” She says and hands the bracelet to you, before quickly running off to her friends.

You prepare yourself outside the research center, the twins are a lot more subdued when compared to Ayla and Hestia, it shouldn’t be that bad having them move in with you.

The researchers watch you as you move though the building, they all are chatting about the latest show Ayla has been doing, the promo teasers for a dragon battle have the fans excited.

You follow the strong sense of life coming from the twins and their combined seven children, you find them working together on robotics programming. They seem to be very proud that they discovered a small segment of code that when they optimized it increased the efficiency of the farming robots by a few thousandths of a percent.

Katherine catches your reflection on the monitor and nudges her sister, they spin around to see you. Their smiles turn to frowns, they are happy to see you but are preparing to argue their case once again.

“It has been too long that I made you wait, if you still want to you both can move in with me,” you preempt them.

They both are a bit shocked, this is a big turn around since your last brushing them off.

“Why so sudden?” Elizabeth asks you.

“It seems that everyone is moving in anyways,”

“Aurora, she just decided to live in my room when she moved into the city here,” you say, which earns you a pair of frowns again, “You two did ask first and I do want to be there as a father for all my children.”

“Well, you two have seven, then I attracted the affection of a dragon, so another seven eggs there, Hestia wanted a child and I can say with certainty that Aurora got drug into it during that time, so another two,” you try to list off all the children you know of.


“How are us two normal girls going to keep up with all of this?” Elizabeth sighs, they are actually excited to be a part of a family, a strange one for sure, but it will be a big happy family.

“Obviously we wanted to move in with you but your, our, bed is going to be getting crowded,” Katherine says.

“We need to go speak with Hestia about this then right now!” Her sister declares, she stands up and pulls Katherine to her feet.


“We’ll see you later at home then darling,” Katherine and Elizabeth say together, giving you a hug and a kiss on each cheek together as a coordinated movement. They are giddy that you accepted them.


Then they quickly, but carefully, abandon you to go make their moving plans revolving around something about bigger bed.

A small group of researcher are there petitioning her for additional supplies or assistance for some particularly difficult problem they are stuck on in the learning program. The line moves very quickly, Hestia is able to resolve their problems near instantly and then send them on their way.

“Next!” Hestia calls out from her office, she brightens when she sees you enter, “I was not paying attention to this location since everyone was asking such simple questions, so I am delighted to see you. How can I assist you?”

“The spiders and fish beasts do not seem to have soul orbs, do you have and ideas as to why that is?”

“My investigations only reveal that a being needs to acquire sufficient power before an orb is generated, though if you are willing to wait we could attempt to force the generation of an orb through using artificial souls once research into the topic has concluded.”

“I’d still like to study the spiders in depth more, could you prepare one of the largest spiders for me to study?”

“Yes, I will be waiting for your report,” Hestia’s smile is the last thing you see before she teleports you away to a laboratory.


A Spider matron chitters at you when you appear. The giant spider doesn’t attempt to attack you when you move to study it.

“I will begin having the spiders training in accelerated time to help satisfy two of your conditions, the goblin shamans may be able to induce some elemental power into the spiders so I will coordinate with them for this project,” Hestia projects a hologram to speak with you.

“That is good enough for now, we should wait as you said to see how artificial souls interact with the cultivation of a natural soul orb.”


“Where did you put Nana and her nest by the way?” You ask before leaving the research center.

“She demanded to be close to you, so I built a new room into our home, I will send you to go speak with her,” Hestia say and teleports you back to your mansion.


A massive set of double doors that you have never seen before are set into the main hall now, and a palpable heat emanates from within.


Inside the room you see vast pools of lava keeping the room blisteringly hot. Nana opens a single eye you watch your entry into the room, she has a single wing extended to cover her clutch of eggs. The door swings shut behind you to trap the heat inside.

“Your house is too small, the artificial one does good work though, she constructed this entire room to my exact specifications,” she says as her tail idly swishes around in a lave pool.

“Her name is Hestia, she would appreciate you using it,” you tell Nana.

“I refuse,” Her eyes glimmer as though she knows something you don’t, “enough about her though, come closer to me.”


You walk closer, and closer at her bidding.


She drops a claw onto your shoulder and presses down, but she cannot even budge you this time.

“The old one’s power has given you much strength, but it is not enough, yet.”

She increases the strength she is using, pushing you to the ground once again. She pins you down, but rather than continuing like before she stops and you feel a tugging on your soul, it feels similar to when you preformed the familiar bond with Izulu. The growing bond is trying to dominate you as you did with Izulu, but the kingship amulet grows cold and steels your will, the bond alters to being equal between you and Nana. You feel there is potential for it to slide in your favor, but you lack the strength to force it to do so. Then the feeling subsides leaving behind a fiery burning feeling behind. You sense that Nana’s power has weakened a bit, leaving her fatigued. She wraps herself back around the clutch of eggs, and starts returning to sleep.


“What was that that you just did?” You ask her.

“We are bonded now, I have taken you as my mate. Other dragons will know instinctually, it should offer you some protection from any others you meet,” She explains, “you did well in not succumbing to my will.”


As she falls asleep she mumbles something about more, stronger children later.

You use your aura to heal her before leaving her to sleep.


You still have a djinni to interrogate, he will be more cooperative with Ayla but you may be able to learn more if he isn’t prostrating himself to her constantly.

As you go to leave your mansion you encounter the twins dragging their stuff inside, you help them for a few minutes, and find that they have accumulated a significant amount of clothing. You also discover that your closet is much too small for the needs of just the twins let alone yourself or the other four women who are living with you; at least the others don’t have as much.


You leave the twins to their moving all their stuff into place and go to find a drone, you move more boxes of the twins stuff inside your door as you leave so it is no longer blocking the way.


You find a drone spinning while watching over a group of succubi attempting to seduce some men at a park. Unfortunately for the succubi the men are already way past being over stimulated, so the men are not falling for their charms.

“Hestia, is Alya busy with filming still?” You ask the drone.


“No, she is just playing with some of the children, would you like for me to fetch her?” Hestia asks through the drone.

You watch the succubi continue their failed solicitations for a while as you wait for Ayla.

Without hesitation, he pulls a dagger out of his clothing and tries to slice at your neck.


Your aura corrodes the blade and his arm as he lunges at you, he recoils in pain and with a roar of rage he floods the room with intense fire and tries you burn out all the oxygen in the room to suffocate you.


When his fire burns out you simply return the level of gases back to normal.


Ayla laughs at him, and wants you to hurt him more, he deserves it for treating the phoenixes so badly.


While the djinni noble shakes from pain, probably from the poison infecting him, you tear into his mind taking all the information he knows, which isn’t much. Most of his considerably long live has been spent living in luxury ordering slaves around to fulfill his every whim. You pull out what he knows about the different kinds of djinn and the Mountains of Qaf. Then you look at everything he knows of Djinnistan, especially their king.


Their king is not a djinn, which is why there is so much discontent in Djinnistan and why both this noble and the soldiers hate the king.

Many fantastical cities made of gems, the conditions are earthlike but better and more paradise like. The old kingdoms have fallen and all djinn are ruled by the outsider king’s iron fist. Even the djinn don’t know what the king is, this particular noble was not high enough rank to meet with the king directly. So you can't pull a clear visualization from his mind, you'll know him when you see him though.

With your absolute grip on the noble’s mind you force him tear his own soul orb out and present it to you.

He plunges his remaining hand into his chest and pulls out a weak orb, his life force remains undiminished up until the point he drops the orb into your hand. Then his body collapses to the ground and burns away into nothingness.


The small orb flickers with inner fire.


“Master can I have that?” Ayla asks.
