>Summary:
You are techpriest Heracor Nahive. You were forcefully implanted a brain chip that made you into little more than a working drone; nullified your emotions and willpower. One day for unknown reasons the chip stopped working and you were returned to your former self. You felt the need of vengeance, right now you are travelling the Galaxy trying to become stronger to return one day and fight the ones that enslaved your mind.

>Main Mission:
- Become stronger and fight the Magus that installed the chip on your brain. [ ONGOING ]
>>Secondary Missions:
- Win the race [ COMPLETED ]
- Destroy the Infinity Circuit of the Jasdevi Craftworld [ COMPLETED ]
- Reunite with your family [ ONGOING ]
>>Optional Missions:
-None

>CURRENT LOCATION:
SEGMENTUS OBSCURUS // INMATERIUM // IMPERIAL FRIGATE
>>
Over and over you muttered to yourself your title and name. Magos Errant Heracor Nahive sounded alien and improbable to you but still, it was true. You had proven your value and skills and the all ever seeing eye of the Omnissiah had rewarded and taken you once again under its eternal and mechanical grace.

The voyage back towards the Deathwatch Pyramid would take about a month. Since the moment you became collared and forced to participate on the Death Races about two or three months had passed so far, you wondered how much of the Xenopsychic Bane would be constructed by now and what exactly was Ordos Xenos Inquisitor Dhroznak’s project. You just hoped that so many destruction and deaths wouldn’t become moot. You tried to remember the faces of the people who had raced and died next to you, some were pretty clear but others were little more than a foggy visage, it was good that you followed the Guardsman advice and never bothered to learn about their names or pasts, otherwise their deaths would be even more present and harder to deal with.

During the first days of the trip you were nursed back to full health and interrogated from time to time to properly document all your experiences over the races. Several of your bionics were damaged or repaired with jury-rigging methods but still, thanks to both and Inquisitorial and Mechanicus pardon all those crimes and sins you had committed so far had been erased from your dossier. Still, those badly repaired Bionics were an affront to the Machine Cult and you were obliged to remove and substitute them when necessary.

People treated you with more respect, most members or the Mechanicus and regular Imperial crewsmen looked at you with some awe and admiration on his eyes, there were even a couple of Techmarines that nodded at you in approval when you crossed their path.
>>
>>42996233
The last day of voyage you looked at yourself on a full sized mirror, you were now stronger and more muscular, your bionic arms and legs made you taller and bulkier. Your silhouette was then even more increased thanks to your elegant robes and the defensive shell that formed your light power armor, on top of all that your many wings, weapons and dendrites gave you the appearance of a menacing and somewhat holy figure. The cowardly Heracor that ran away from its own daemons and responsibilities was no more; you were now a new man.

Finally the time came. The frigate you were in was about to leave the Warp and place itself in orbit shortly after. People were nervous but this was a normal psychological effect and you had experienced it enough times already to not fall into panic. A great communal pray started chanting across the vox system and soon everybody followed and repeated the words that were being transmitted. With a great rumble a hole in the fabric of the universe opened and the voidship crossed it hastily, on the other side laid the Material universe, a veil of planets of stars that were by divine right only worthy of human domain. Looking from one window you became able to see Karelia’s Cruiser and the nameless feral world where the DeathWatch are stationed on the distance…there is no sign of the Explorator Cruiser that you and part of the Scions managed to save.

>Rush into the command center of the Frigate and ask why the Lux Illustrans Inventionis isn’t in orbit.
>The ship might have gotten to the closest Forge World while you were out; ask for a transport towards Karelia’s Cruiser and meet your daughter and Skitarii warriors once again.
>The ship might have gotten to the closest Forge World while you were out; descend along with the rest of the Scions and Astartes to the DeathWatch Station and deliver the Ork prisoner.

>The ship might have gotten to the closest Forge World while you were out; descend along with the rest of the Scions and Astartes to the DeathWatch Station and deliver the Ork prisoner.

Duty always comes first, and as a member of the Magii circle you have to become an exemplar of your mindset. Alaria has waited for a couple of months already, she can wait. Besides, all the confusion with her status as a orphan and her adoption process has surely been halted now that you have returned.

Before heading into the Aquila Lander that will take you towards the Pyramid you are halted by the same group of Scions that you have fought with.

"Who knows if we are going to fight or even meet in another occasion. " Said Valek, the Captain.

He extended his hand to squeeze your palm in a respectful show of gratitude. You did the same with your ferric hand, at first you were somewhat scared of damaging him with your unnatural strength but the Captain was a hard man, he didn't even flinched when the servos of your fingers pressed against his weak flesh.

After him came the rest; Orleans, Marzia, Keyes and Konichi. They all did a similar salutation that varied depending on their planet of origin and the culture they were raised from. Still, all those meant the same, gratitude and respect for you. Before entering into the Lander you did the Gear and Aquila symbol towards them.

"May the Omnissiah guide your lasers and the Emperor guide your spirits."
>>
>>42996713

After saying so you entered and heard the door closing and sealing behind you. You took your seat next to some other Magii and fastened your seatbelt as the entire vehicle rumbled and proceeded to plunge into the atmosphere below.

The quick transfer between the artificially created gravity of the frigate to the sudden lack of it and following planetary gravity made your stomach turn and revolt. Your willpower and desire to not look as a weakling let you keep all the puke inside and finally you managed to swallow it all back to where it belongs.

After the landing came another three Aquila Landers, they carried with them munitions or personnel and the second one was the one in which the copper armored Ork weirdboy was trapped. He was still heavily sedated but still several other security measures had been taken, he was strapped by many chains to a wheeled bed, similar to the ones that one could find in a Medicae Bay or an Hospital.

Being surrounded by so many humans made you feel somewhat weird and paranoid. You had been surrounded by constant danger for months and every time you went to sleep you had the rising fear of being killed while you were defenseless. Being so suddenly in a safe and protected area simply felt strange.

You were guided towards a flourishly decorated open area in which many xenos treasures and statues dedicated to heroes, both Human and Astartes, who were depicted slaying aliens and in an epic fashion. At the end of that area there was the Inquisitor Dhroznak who was chitchatting with his Inquisitor companion, Inquisitor Karelia.

Thinking about her made you feel somewhat hurt, you felt betrayed by her, you had helped and risked your life for her more than once and she abandoned you at the first opportunity. You didn't knew if it was rage or psychological pain but her presence gave you an increasing pain in the brain and the heart.

She was still looking as always, she wore her Warpsteel mask covered over a cream colored shemag and a white hood and was still wearing her pristine and porcelain looking power armor over some cerulean and azure robes that were decorated with maroon and gold accessories.

>Go and talk with Inquisitress Karelia, see if she forgives you.
>Ignore her, consider your partnership with her over. You only followed her to be close to Liwet and she didn't even let you do that.
>Wait to see how things develop. You might be a Magos but they are still over you when it comes to power and control.

When the group of people that you followed reached the end of the room the two Inquisitors ceased talking and proceeded with their work. Inquisitor Dhroznak greeted them all and thanked their hard work into capturing the vile Ork psyker, he seemed to be pretty happy with itself. Karelia stood behind, and simply overlooked everything, from time to time you tried to give a quick glance at her to see if she looked at you or even acknowledged your presence but due to how covered her face was and the face that she was wearing the mask it was an impossible task. For all you knew you died for her the same instant you were considered guilty of those crimes.

"Thank you to everybody! The Emperor has guided your aim and iron wills and turned you all into his vessels of pure and holy destruction against the extraterrestrial enemies of the Imperium!"

After saying this he walked and even shook hands with several Scions, looking way more human and pleasant than ever, it was obvious that he was indeed overjoyed.

"This greenskin right here might look like a brute and savage ork that only deserves death, and indeed it is! But it will also become the key that will help us killing their whole kin!"

He looked at the Ork and then adjusted the collar of his clothing after looking at his own reflection on the crudely forged yet strangely shiny copper armor of the Weirdboy.

"Follow me towards the anima of the Xenobane project and I will delight you all with the story of my life."

He pressed a button from a remote and a hidden wall slowly revealed along with the sound of grinding gears and moving chains. The rock and thick wall separated in two and then descended into a spiraling stairs that seemed to descend for miles.

We all followed behind, feeling somewhat squat and making two rows to accommodate everybody. Once the long descent was over we reached a massive basement that seemed to be constructed directly next to the massive hydroelectric and nuclear power plants that powered all the pyramid. In the center of that vastness lied a gargantuan tower that approximately reached the fifty feet in height and was plagued with thousands of cables of different diameters, some as thin as an hair and others as thick as your own arms. On the base of that Tower there were several sarcophagi that had next to them a vast array of picto-screens that showed different registries and parameters like heart-beat or stress levels. Each had a small holodevice on top of the sarcophagus that displayed the image of a brain in real time and showed several strange illuminating spots. Judging by the shapes of those brains none of them were human.

This was the place were the imprisoned alien psykers had been brought and surely that massive tower was the Psychic Xenobane.

The Inquisitor was about to start telling its tale. You could stay there and listen to it or use your status as a Magos to investigate the device on your own.

>Listen to the Inquisitor tell its tale.
It'd be rude not to, and that we've returned to glory the inquisitor might actually try to be as friendly as his kind ever get to us in order to gain himself an asset.

Which in turn can make him our own. Besides, Karelia might get pissy about us interrupting his life story even if she'd relish the opportunity to not hear it for the tenth time.

I think you put too much faith in our authority from our title.

This is an evidently large work, and we will have little time or resources to be playing catch up at this stage.

My view is simple: Just don't be here when he switches it on.
>>
>>42997705
Not going to happen since everyone is going to stay to witness it going off.
>>
>>42997725
Which is a shame, but still, we need to contact K.
>>
>>42997679
Honestly, we couldn't fathom its workings even when building a segment over several months. I know that the whole may well be more comprehensible than a part of it but all the same we know what it does roughly - physically annihilate all aliens. Examining it wouldn't let us suddenly realise it'll explode in a funky way or something.

Best we might learn is that it also kills human psykers or that blanks, thus giving us or Karelia advance warning
>>
>>42997745
Or that it's tech heresy using Eldar, necron or chaos parts.

>Listen to the Inquisitor tell its tale.
>Send a Private message to Karelia

The Inquisitor walked towards the holo depiction of the gigantic and elongated brain and used a laser pointer to indicate the several flashing points that were located in specific points of the depicted mind.

As he was doing so you wrote a quick email to the Inquisitress:

>FOR: Inquisitress Karelia.
>CC: Meeting.
"Karelia, I am not dead. I am back and I will get my daughter back. We can meet and discuss details if you wish. Ave Imperator."

After doing so you started listening to the Inquisitor.

"One day after slaying a Tyranid invasion I noticed that killing several specially mutated part of their parasitic race makes the lesser warriors turn feral. Its as if they were mindbound to their generals. I decided to investigate more and that took me to the barely known aspect of the Cerebrum Synapse."

A couple of Techpriests came and placed in front of him another holodisplayer. This one showed a regular human brain in great detail and transparency.

"After a extensive Investigation I discovered that the human Brain is divided in several areas, each area responds and generates an specific emotion, be it anger, sadness or even happiness or pain. Those areas have what we the Imperial Scholars and the Magos Biologis have called as Cerebrum Synapses among them."

The hologram of the Brain changed and turned even more transparent, then several areas changed in hue to denote the different emotions they cause and finally among those areas several flash of lights appeared, those lights communicated with the others creating lightpaths that pulsed with and organic feeling. Each of those nodes and connections was a Cerebrum Synapse.

"Here we see a regular Human Brain, it has about fifteen to thirty synapses on it. Variations might develop into different reactions, a person with many Synapses in the Rage part of the Brain will be more violent and courageous. Eventually, those synapses are what we commonly know as personality, they shape us into what we are. They are part of our ourselves and our soul. The moment they are gone we are considered brain dead."
>>
>>42997792
One of the reasons xeno tech is forbidden, or at least as the Emperor originally meant when he implanted the rules. The Admech is missing a bunch of information about how and why things work, even if they have the schematics (such as with Plasma guns). Using xeno tech to skip ahead on the tech tree is bad because you're missing out on why the tech works, and so you can't improve, modify, or maintain it correctly. Studying them and making equivalent tech you understand is better.

The hologram changed and displayed another brain, this one barely had Synapses and in some parts of his brain they were even completely gone.

"Here, is a Pariah brain. A soulless being that can barely be called person and much less human. We don't truly know why this lack of Synapses is caused but the result is an entity that lacks the most basic emotions while conserving all the intelligence, those persons are closer to abominable intelligences than true humans. Having so little Synapses would turn a regular human into a catatonic comatose vegetative but for some law defying reason those few individuals are the exception."

The few synapses almost had any glow on them and looked as if they were about to turn of at any moment.

Was your brain like that? Maybe it was at first, during your first years in which you were almost apathetic. Still, you have changed. Have you gained humanity? Was that even possible in the first place?
>>

>>42997933

The third and last picture showed a human brain that was almost completely lit by synapses and looked more akin to a ball of incandescent plasma than to a brain.

"On the contrary here we have a psyker brain. It is plagued with countless of Synapses and they feel a range of emotions that few ones can comprehend or control. Those same synapses are the ones that give them their dangerous and strange powers but we don't know much more. And since they are still something so strange and foreign we have to fear them."

The holograph stopped casting the brain image.

"So, one day after studying it came to my mind. There are several races in the cosmos who have psykers on their own. What if we managed to study their brains and discovered a way to disrupt their Cerebral Synapses to completely erradicate their powers and turn the balance in our favor?"

Inquisitor Dhroznak smiled and chuckled to himself.

"I had the idea, still I lacked the ways of building it and it is then when I had to meet with the mighty and powerful Adeptus Mechanicus to turn my project into a reality. Sadly, there was a resource that I lacked and that not even the Machine cult could generate on its own, thats it, the alien brains. After the call of my project was accepted by the Mechanicus I contacted with the Deathwatch and the Tempestus Scions to recruit an army mighty enough to be able to capture such dangerous objectives. If it worked it would allow us to kill any xenos psyker, sadly enough it wouldn't work with heretics and mutants, since their minds are so full of impurities that they don't follow any true pattern and each one is unique on its own."
>>
Going to eat dinner now. See you guys in ~15 minutes or so.

>>42997952
He looked somewhat sad for a moment and then he continued talking.

"This project started over forty years ago and we almost succeeded fifteen years after its conception, just when we had ended capturing our last objective a Dark Eldar raid appeared and destroyed all our hard work. Still, our incorruptibles spirits decided to go on and start over, from the ashes we would emerge and we would be stronger and mightier than before. In this second ocassion we needed more time to finish again, the Mechanicus was reticent to build the Xenopsychic Bane once again but at the end they showed their infinite mercy and ended accepting."

Another image appeared on the holoscreen. This showed several aliens, you recogniced some of them but the others were completely unknown to you. One seemed to be a crystalline slug, the other was an insectoid race, there was an Eldar, the Kroot that you Captured, the Tyranid Zoanthrope and finally the Ork weirdboy.

"But now we will be able to destroy all the alien psychics!!"

"Enough!"

Screamed Karelia across the room as she started gracefully floating in the air and used her powers to violently throw several Logic Engines and block the exits.

"I have had enough of being subjugated, of being punished for what I am! My powers are not a curse, they are a blessing, and now all of you will suffer and understand that we are not to be repressed, but feared!"

With a mere movement she disarmed all the Scions that were pointing at her, their weapons being launched several feet in the air. She then removed her hood and shemag and revealed a Warpsteel mask that had apparently mutated and warped. The Mask looked viscous and alive and instead of being placed over her face it now looked as if it were a parasyte of some sort. Strange shifting symbols and forming eyes that moved all across her face appeared.

Still, the effect of the Warpsteel seemed to be working, even to a greater extent. All the Scions and personnel that were looking at her fell to their knees and started sobbing. You didn't knew if it was because of your possible lack or soul or maybe because you had a Warpsteel mask on your own but you were one of the few ones that became unaffected.

The Warped Karelia grabbed the still unconscious Ork and placed it inside an open sarcophagus. Then with the machine complete it started illuminating and all the prisoners inside commenced screaming in agony. The machine was scanning and leeching their powers to weaponize them.

Karelia floated and using her powers started breaching the interior of the Xenopsychic Bane with unknown and obscure motives. You had to act now.

Also, what's the general consensus here?
She's tainted, time to kill the bitch?
Or are we going to try and wrest the source of corruption from her face?
Will giving her a hug cause our blankness to shortcircuit her, giving us the opportunity to capture her and hold her until we can determine whether she's lost for good?

You extend your six wings and dual wield your Arc and Phospex Pistols. With a mix of your back turbines and a magnetically impulsed kick you made with your mag-soles you launched into the air like a missile.

At first it seemed that Karelia wasn't aware of your approach, surely thanks to your Psyblind medallion but still, you were unaware of all the noise that you were generating. All your clunky metallic regalia and the blasting noise of your wings alarmed her of your upcoming presence.

She turned around and stopped you on your tracks with her telekinetic powers. Pushing your engines to the maximum output of energy only made you advance a couple of inches. Your face was almost touching her but still she seemed to be both unreachable and untouchable.

Trying to play your last card you looked at her shifting eye and sigil covered face and placed your own Warpsteel mask in the vain attempt of fighting fire with fire. She laughed at you with a guffaw that sounded crystalline and echoed with thousands of different voices that reverberated in the background.

With her left hand she started cracking the central column of that conformed the Xenopsychic Bane and with the other threw you away with enough violence to make you spin several times in the air before you landed heavily. On the floor and with pain all across your body you managed to see how she entered inside the column, in the backbone of the machine where all the leeched energy of the xenos was being directed into.

>Grab your plasma gun/plasma pulse and shoot at the Xenopsychic Bane.

Full of pain and sore from the impact you manage to grab your Plasma Weaponry from your back. You had enough of her, she had betrayed you not only once but twice!

You ran towards the column and kicked a table over, throwing all the contents and using it for cover. After charging both weapons with hydrogen fuel cells you turn over the table and place both plasma weapons on the rim of the desk to work as a support point and be able to aim both at the same time.

Less than a second later a salvo of blue and green plasma fire is impacting over the column with deadly effects, the projectiles of the Plasma Pulse are quick and deadly while the ones of the Acidic Plasma Gun are corrosive and start devouring the impact points as time passes.

Unconsciously you rally all the forces around and soon several warriors leave their nightmarish trance and get into a combat stance, a few ones even run to the same table you are at to give you support with their hellguns.

As if it were a cracking egg the protective column explodes in a thousand of pieces and reveals its dark contents. There are several pipes that carry within the energy cables that leech the power from the unwilling alien psykers and a mass of amorphous and corrupted flesh attached to it.
>>
>>42999515
The blob of flesh grew some arms and ripped out the cables, plucking them inside of itself. You continued shooting but the strange spawn managed to create a shield of some short, still, from time to time either due to overcharging the shield or by pure luck a shot or two managed to cross the shield and reach into the mutating body, causing great damages.

With each cable that it plucked onto itself it mutated and evolved further, gaining features and aspects from the creature it was leeching from. When the strange mass had ended with its diabolical scheme and managed to place all the cables into itself it was an undescriptable creature made from pure nightmares.

It then jumped while still connected from the cables and heavily landed on the ground. It had Orkoid, Tyranid, Eldar and other features that you couldn't truly understand and on top of all those horrid beasts lied the metallic face of Karelia, that was still unchanged but was now covered in pure Warpsteel as if it were her own skin.

The Warpspawn screamed with a psychic screech that caused an azure shockwave that carried with itself sorcerous bolt of cracking energy and turned every one who was impacted by them into mutated creatures that also shared features from the imprisoned xenos but to a lessen degree.

Soon about twenty of the Scions had become beasts that had a little bit of everything onto their warped double helixes, be it Orkoid musculature or jaws, Tyranid like enlongated faces, claws or exoskeletons, Eldar height and lithe features, Kroot jaws and avian features, crystalline bodies and talons or insectoid wings and antennae.

You managed to avoid one of those energy blasts by mere inches but the Scion that was next to you wasn't so lucky. After the impact he started screaming and shortly after warping. His skin turned greenish and he grew in musculature and height, his face gained lithe Eldar like features that included pointy ears and his hands turned into chitinous claws.

>>
>>42999667
>>42999677

Well I tried placing small hints from time to time.

For starters Mellizune was birthed because the his father, the puritan inquisitor treated Karelia like shit and she wanted to punish him. She was also bullied in the Kroot hunt arc for her condition as a psyker.

Back when we were confronting Kroot and we controlled Karelia I wrote something about her being tired of being pushed over and wanting to show them a lesson.

There are some other similar things here and there, for example the Ordos Xenos Inquisitor also talks shit, even with Karelia next to him.

She has been abused for long and now she has simply snapped.

Well I kinda figured that she wouldn't be doing that if it had the chance to corrupt her.
>>
>>42999936
Warp steel shows a persons soul, so it should have some psychic element to it. Herector is pretty damn resistant, both from his blankness and that time at the sisters of battle place, he also uses it sparingly.
>>
>>42999560
>Run away and try to get close to the Xenopsychic Bane, you might be able to sabotage it.

It seemed that the creature and the machine were symbiotic to some degree and had a loopback of some sort. The beast that once used to be Karelia was launching warping energy at its enemies and once those were fully mutated they turned into amplifier of some sort and from their eyes and mouths they launched blasts of magical and corrupting energy towards the Machine, those blasts then exponentially mutated both the Karelia and the Xenopsychic Bane in an infinite vicious circle of mutation and insanity.

The Inquisitor's creation wasn't a machine anymore but a monstruosity that seemed to be alive. The column was starting to look akin to a spine and on the upper part a brain was growing on its own. The sarcophagi were the aliens were trapped and being drained mutated into cocoon like baskets, some of the power cables changed into what looked like massive pulsating veins and what once were lightbulbs and indicators were now illuminating organic eyes that looked at all directions.

You ascended in the air and saw the few genetically pure Scions combating their warped companions, killing their own friends and leaders. Karelia was now immobile, apparently preparing something on her own.

With a rough landing due to your wounded and tired legs you manage to reach one of the cocoons and deliberate for a moment if liberating the prisoner on its interior its a good idea or not. It could maybe weaken her and but if everything went wrong then we would have an army of mutants and an enraged xenos to deal with.
>>
>>43000446
Time wasn't on your side, you simply liberated your powerblade and used it to open the cocoon, on its interior there was a mummified Eldar, it had seemed to have been completely drained from almost all water and nutrients but still the body was alive, it had a constant expression pure undiluted pain on its lithe face. As if it were a leech there were several cilia like organic tubes that violated the Eldar's ears and nose and ascended deep into its brain.

Without a doubt you plunged your blade on the Eldar's heart, not to spare it from its torture but to weaken the corrupted and possessed machine. To your surprise and as if it were alive the machine pushed you back with a blast of energy and started a process that could only be described as cannibalizing. Slowly the machine started pushing its cilia into the Eldar and using a mix of electrical energy and forbidden magicks to keep the head and the brain alive. When it was completely devoured the sound of regurgitation could be heard and shortly after that from an anus like orifice a headless Eldar body was spitted, shorty after that and on one side of the pulsating and mutating brain the face of the Eldar appeared and started to scream without stop. The alien was now condemned, there was no possible escape for its soul.

We're one guy. They shoot goop that mutates us and there's enough flesh on us for it to work. There's a whole bunch of them. They all have crazy strong warp powers and it's been shown that those powers can if nothing else immobilise us. They undergo rapid regeneration, fuelled by a feedback loop, etc so we're going to have to deal catastrophic damage to all traces of it simultaneously or sustained massive damage output to combat the regen. Any allies that we call to bear will just be mutated and serve to fuel it further. Tzeentch does not make his move unless it is assured to succeed.

Moreover, we have nothing to gain from this. The only person we even remotely gave a shit about in this place just went heresy on our ass. We're best off just leaving and purging it with fire now that we got our pardon and promotion.

you do realize she's not going to let us escape, and with that machine and Tzeentchian warpfuckery, could shut travel down completely? The only way we can survive is to cut off her source of power(this machine) and hope it does enough to make her killable and depowers her to an extent.
>>
>>43000710

>>
>>43000725

I forget, but I think he was behind the pink abominations a long time ago when we were rocking with the IG (where we rescued Liwet)

There was also a nurgly incident whilst travelling through the warp, and slaanesh has been doing its thing in recent threads when we were about the hilk

>Try to destroy the Machine

Full of rage and confusion you grabbed your three incendiary grenades and prepared them. Two of them were placed under the cocoons in hope that their fire would be enough to kill the hosts of the parasite machine. You grabbed the third one and pressed it tightly on your fist as you punched the anus like exit and left the explosive deep into the mutating rectum. To your surprise that hole grew teeth and tried to devour your arm and pushing you into itself with a great force.

Desperately you activated your powerblade and let the fire and sparks damage the machine, since that wasn't enough you didn't had another option but to remove your entire arm and fly away. At least you weren't mutated in the process in the slightest.

With your left arm you grabbed your arc pistol and shoot at the two grenades that were placed on the cocoons and then at your own, still poking out, arm. Soon a circle of fire started to engulf the base of the machine and the alarm sound of an incendium filled the area, luckily since this area is so close to the Energy generatoriums the Deathwatch Techmarines on top will be alarmed and will come to aid and carry with them the rest of the Astartes.

The last incendiary grenade exploded shortly after. Karelia seemed to share a symbiotic relationship with the machine and she was alerted from the fire.

Instead of attacking you she ran towards the machine and used her powers as best as she could to extinguish the fire and push the alien bodies into its interior, with each alien a new face appeared on the surface of the brain, when they were all completely absorbed they started emitting an spectral light with them...they kind of looked like Cerebrum Synapses.
>>
>>43001197
Due to the fire the spine of the became way too damaged to hold its own weight and started to fall down. Karelia had to break its own concentration and suddenly all the mutated enemies started dissolving, it seemed that she was the one that controlled them using her mind powers.

She didn't seemed to mind. Using a telekinetic blade she severed the spine and suspended the brain in the air. Karelia plunged into the core of the brain and all the faces screamed even more while their lights turned into a blinding kaleidoscopic nightmare.

Then...suddenly the brain exploded, it didn't showered anybody with its mutating fluids but instead each chunk of brain started burning with a cyan fire and turned into ash before touching the floor. From the Interior of the brain appeared a near perfect fusion of all those psykers and Karelia.

The Inquisitress had regained her humanoid for but now she showed small details of the races she had vampirized. She had two small tusk on the base of her jaw that weren't as grotesque as the Ork ones, her eyes became more squinted and had two violet irises that seemed to glow with an unnatural light, her hair looked as if it were made from feathers that were gray like the skin of a kroot, several diamond like protrusions grew on some parts of her skin, she had a couple of antennae on her forehead and a couple of wings that seemed to be both avian and insectoid in nature, on her hands and feet there were chitinous fingers that ended in sharp claws and overall she now had a blue skin tone.

This was far from over, in fact it was just starting.

Did us taking the machine out help at all? How tall is she? Is she just a psychically stabilized monster or did she go full daemon on us? Anyone else around here noticing all the shit going on and responding? Cause seriously a librarian or psyker would feel the psychic shit going on, and anyone tech savvy would notice the machine spirits throwing a fit? Also how do you expect us to win if we lose a limb on a 95? Or is this your way of ending the quest?
>>
>>43001260
Thanks for running.
We need to organize a retreat, order a purge, and go to our AdMech temple to get ready for battle if it isn't over by the time. We need a new arm with all its old features, a new chainsword, and a general tune up.

>>43001273

We organize the survivors. I think we made it so there are no new mutants right now, so that should give us some breathing room-ish. We and a few others old them back while the physically stronger scions move out the obstructions, then we run for it.
>>
>>43001372
and how would we get past Karelia? She could before all this move incredibly fast and deal an obscene amount of telekinetic punishment, and we're straight in her LoS.

>>
>>43001273
No.

>>43001318
>Did us taking the machine out help at all?

Well yes, it made the fusion imperfect and rushed, her plan was to turn everybody into mutants, then use those mutants to turn the machine into a completely mutated abomination that used psykers as fuel. Then the Machine would be the Key to turn her into a fully ascended Daemon Princess.

>How tall is she?
She was about 5'11 before mutating. Keeping in mind that both Orks, Eldar and Kroot can be pretty tall then I would say she's about 6'2 now.

>Is she just a psychically stabilized monster or did she go full daemon on us?
We didn't let her go full daemon. She's still organic, just a very strong psyker.

>Anyone else around here noticing all the shit going on and responding?
Yes, they are responding. Don't worry, the marines are on the way. Have in mind that since hell broke loose I would say that little more than 15 minutes have passed. They are fast but not instantaneous.

>Also how do you expect us to win if we lose a limb on a 95?
I know that was pretty hard, but the reward that such a high roll gave was making her not become a daemon. Trust me, losing a replaceable arm for not having to deal with a Greater Daemon is a great deal.

>Or is this your way of ending the quest?
It will end soon, but not so soon.

If that were the case she'd have not tried to mutate us in the first place. We're a blank to her, an anathema to all she aspires to be. We cost her ascension and have she's a fool if she thinks we're not a danger to her.
>>
>>43002013
Yeah, but in recent times our blankness has been affecting her less, she possibly has an awareness or suspicion that we're not a true blank.
