The distant whirling sound of thousands of Shurikens being launched and the opposition of Shootas and traitor Bolters filled the ambient, soon after that they were surrounded by a chorus of screams of different tones, voices and the occasional explosion. The reawakening Engine of your StormBlade was just another instrument into the concerto of cacophonic noise that the battlefield had become.

With a great thunderous roar the engines spitted a cerulean fire and pushed its massive body out of the crash zone. All you could see around was a field of desolation and destruction, there were several white spires and buildings that used to be beautiful but were now burning and falling from structural damage, looking further you saw several breaching holes on the exterior of the Craftworld that were covered with a psychical shield and were slowly being reconstructed to avoid air sealing failures and atmospheric destabilization.

A few stray shoots impacted on the hull without making any real damage, the ones who were behind the trigger surely weren’t aiming at the Tank itself but were just desperately shooting at every direction. The Driver didn’t let the StormBlade become a stationary objective and soon accelerated once again to leave the crash site and entered into what seemed to be an Eldar Spaceport.

Most of the warriors were way too busy dealing with the attackers to notice the sudden appearance of the Imperial tank and soon under its treads the bloody remains of Eldar, Orks and Traitor Marines stood as the mighty vehicle continued advancing without stopping at anything or anyone.

Everybody had a duty to do. One again the Marine left the interior and placed itself on top, apparently feeling way more at ease on such open area. He didn’t only shoot any enemy who was fool enough to get close to the Tank but also issued orders to the Gunners about which direction to shoot for. They didn’t truly need those directions thought. The Gunners were constantly busy shooting at everybody that got on their aim, they were surrounded by enemy territory in all directions and thus anybody that got on their line of fire was a foe that needed to be purged. Even the main gunner had the chance to use its mighty Plasma Blaster and joyfully used it to decimate aliens and heretics alike; breaching formations, enemy vehicles and even entire buildings on its wake. Meanwhile you squeezed between them as best as you could to reach panels, vents and other small areas that needed to be constantly maintained and revised to ensure the correct functioning of the many complex mechanisms and having the Machine Spirit pleased at all times.

It was when you noticed interferences in the vox-signal that the Astartes was using to transmit. It was a strange noise that couldn’t be tracked nor erased no matter how hard you tried, it started gaining in potency until that foreign noise ended turning into an invading pirate signal that somehow entered into your frequency.
>>
>>42866494
“HEAR YE HEAR YE!”

The subwoofer of the Vox Caster vibrated heavily with each word; it was the voice of the Warboss that had somehow not only survived to being swallowed alive but also managed to hack your frequency.

“EXCHANGING FREQ!” You yelled while slapping the ceiling of the tank, with the vain attempt of being heard by the Astartes.

It was of no use, no matter what frequency you switched to his Orkoid and animalistic voice continued plaguing the soundwaves. He wasn’t only using a couple of frequencies but ALL OF THEM AT ONCE. Worst of all was that even if you removed the energy cables that feed the caster it somehow still continued transmitting, this was all but impossible.

“I WANT DAT SHINY JEWEL ROK DAT LIES ON DA BACKEST PART OF THE KRAFTWURLD! STILL IT IS WAY TOO BIG! EVERYBODY GO AND PRY IT OPEN FOR ME! THE ONE THAT BREAKS IT FIRST WILL BE DA WINNER! WAAAAGH!!!”

You looked from one of the window ports and saw an alien holographic device that showed a perfect representation of the Jewel that the Warboss talked about. It was massive, almost three stories in size. Whatever it was you would be the one that would break it first. It is part of your holy duty to destroy xenotech after all.

>Leave the Tank and fly upwards; observe your surroundings and the migration of Orks and Eldar as they move to invade and protect that Jewel respectively. Try to see if there is a good route to take and advance some positions.

"Let's go towards the main objective! Whatever gets into our path will become an atomized pile of dust!" Screamed the Captain with a chilling roar. He was completely ecstatic about being able to kill so many enemies of the Imperium.

Unlike other cannons that launch a solid shell this weapon uses an energy projectile, in this case a superheated plasma beam, instead of a massive recoil it had a great thermal generation as a byproduct. This meant that no matter how fast the main gunner used the Plasma Blaster its use wouldn't create an impedance to speed and thus we could shoot and drive at full speed.

On any other warzone this might have generated a great stress to the hydrogen powered coils of the Plasma Weapons but right now we seemed to be in some kind of Tundra or Snowy Biosphere. Its cold air and the constant snowfall were able to cool the weapon, extending its life and making it last way longer.

The tension between the cold snow and the heat of our tank was so big that the snowflakes turned into steam even before they touched the surface of the tank, making it look somewhat ghostly as the steam looked like a veil of fog.

From the front part of the Tank a colorful blue column of plasma fire was launched, on the sides the constant laser torches illuminated with their red hue, on the back of the Tank the engines generated a green spark filled fire.

Looked from afar we were like a colorful carrier of death that was surrounded by a strange fog making them become both confused and terrified, by the time our enemies were able to discern that we were a tank their fear didn't ceased but in fact augmented.

There wasn't much the native Eldar could do. Most of the Roks that survived the fall and weren't destroyed in orbit landed into the Bow of the ship. This part seemed to be an area in were the Eldar Spaceships could land and refuel. There wasn't many defending vehicles as most had retreated towards the furthest part to defend that Strange Jewel that the Warboss desired.

The Eldar were fighting a doomed battle as they couldn't win against both Orks and Traitor Marines without the aid of support vehicles or other heavier defenses.

On your destructive wake the Tank crushed several strange portals that the native xenos seemingly used to teleport, with each destroyed one the Eldar had less chances of escaping that Genocide and their despair filled cries could be hear after they witnessed how your tank crushed them. Just as the Tank was leaving the limits of the Spaceport the Gunner moved the turret and shoot at the base of a great spire that had several docked Eldar Spaceships on them.
>>
>>42866915

Since that tower was so afar from the main landing zone it had been spared from the combat until then. With the Plasma shoot it now had been structurally compromised. As if it were a breaking bone it splintered in several points until it couldn't hold its own weight and sent all the docked Spaceships towards the ground. Their strange alien engines exploded upon contact creating a great mushroom cloud that created a shockwave that even you could feel from the safety of the Interior.

After killing so much the tank reached what seemed to be a frozen lake that had a few islands on them. The Ice seemed to be thick yet fragile, surely the combat had fragmented and broken it. On the distance there was what seemed to be the main capital were all the Eldars were stored and in which the decisive battle would explode. You had to cross the frozen lake to reach it, there wasn't any other visible path.

Even with the weight of the crew being huge its nothing compared to the weight of the tank. Tell them to be careful about firing the main weapon, so as to avoid melting the ice infront of us.

There isn't time to meditate about every option. If this tanks sinks then it will have to drive across the bottom until it reaches the other side, it won't be a deterrent, only a mere setback.

You made several quick calculations backed by the help of your cogitator brain. Just as the Tank was about to reach the icy water you had the result.

"Maintain a constant speed of at least 34.5 Kilometers per hour! Never take turns bigger than fifteen degrees and by the Emperor don't look back!"

The driver nodded softly and did as you ordered, his hands shaking slightly from the stress he was experiencing right now. From the viewports the gunners and other occupants were able to see how the ice melted and cracked behind them at a steady pace, looking as if it were a growing ravine that was hungry for their souls.

No one was able to speak, they were all frozen by the nightmarish vision of the same ground you were driving at being fragmented at mere inches from you. Any deceleration or mistake would make the Tank sink.

It was true that it was sealed and the water wouldn't be able to enter but you weren't sure of how many atmospheres of pressure it could take and what kind of fate would the Space Marine suffer if that happened...

Halfway thru it you crossed several orks, eldar and traitors who were hiking on feet and trying to cross the lake too. A few of them were run over as the Driver couldn't afford turning his wheels away from them. It didn't mattered if they were run over or not though, they all would die sooner or later as the ice would shatter and the icy waters would devour them soon.
>>
---
It was when you saw the other side of the coast when you and your team were more nervous and stressed, the fragmentation of the ice had triggered and even bigger shattering effect and soon the sound of distant ice capes breaking and exploding could be heard from afar as it was increasing in speed and destructiveness.

When you reached the other side the driver turned violently and pressed the brake, forcing the Tank to slid and drift and almost making it tip over on the side.

All the team looked at the Ice lake and saw it completely breaking away, small ice islands forming and many bodies floating on its surface, the deceased bodies of the ones that couldn't reach the other side due to your destructive tactic.

The ones who were still on the spaceport would be now stranded unless they managed to get a flying vehicle. You and your team managed to gain some time.

Everybody stood on their seats looking without their eyes set on anything particular, they were all just remembering what they had just lived and softly smiling for having survived such maneuver. Still, they were Tempestus Scions, the hammer of the Emperor, they were used to such heroics feats and thus they were all soon over it, trying to shrug it off as something not so fearsome.

When you managed to relax too you started looking at the Tank and their equipment. Each of them carried a Hotshot-Lasgun of Ryza-Pattern, while somewhat scratched and worn they were all well maintained and functioned perfectly, since they haven't produced a shoot since their arrival their power packs were completely full and surely eager to be discharged against some foul enemy. The captain also had on itself a Bolt Pistol, examining it gave you some nostalgic throwbacks to your times with the Comissar Oihan, this made you observe the pistol for way longer than he wished and he ended almost forcefully taking it out of your hands and calling you a tech-freak afterwards.
>>
>>42867509

After looking at their gear you used the vox channel to contact the Astartes and inquiry him about inspecting his weapons but he denied the help, he started explaining himself with some polite yet menacing sounding words:

"Negative, techpriest. I am thankful for your proposition but I have been trained in the maintaining and proper use of my Bolter. I do not doubt of your skills but we are still in enemy territory and in case an adversary appears I would prefer to have my weapon with myself."

Right after that the team started driving again, the pilot seemed to be the most exhausted member of the team, maybe you will need to replace him shortly.

Between the lake and the city there was a small forest of pine trees that carried with itself whirling air currents and whispering sounds that made us believe that we weren't alone. Such place seemed to be the perfect spot for an ambush and everybody, including you, knew that ambushes and hit and run tactics were the way of warfare that such a weak and cowardly race as the Eldar had to practice.

>Use the Plasma Blaster to burn the forest, if there isn't anywhere to hide they won't be able to ambush you.

"Same as always, lets open our path towards victory!" You yelled.

"I like the way you think tech-freak." Said the captain.

The Plasma Blaster charged again and launched its load into the heart of the forest. It illuminated the night with the force of a miniature blue sun and left behind nothing but a charred hole and burnt wood. Whatever roamed on those lands, be it an animal or an Eldar warrior was now dead and completely atomized. Still, surely this tactic had gathered the attention of the nearby forces.

With another column of green fire the engines pushed the heavy vehicle towards the main Eldar city. The window slits that the tank possessed were designed to see what was in front of them, not above but still you were able to see several shadows moving quickly across. Judging by their sleek and elongated silhouette they were of Eldar design and construction.
>>
>>42867738

Your augmented ears managed to catch three different engines, you crouched and tried to look at them but only managed to see some blurry figures in a triangular formation.

They sent a rain of sharp shurikens towards the Tank, since the tank was comparatively slow they managed to land several hits on the hull, a few of those disks even managing to penetrate the thick armor and lodging deep inside.

The Astartes quickly hopped to the opposite side of the Tank that was facing them and hold himself tight with one hand while used the other to shoot down at them. Soon the sound of the sacred bolt rounds were heard exploding as they entered inside the corpse and engines of one of the pilots and made it crash land against the rich snow covered soil.

Destroy the threat before worrying about repair. We have some nice ass guns, and we can fix the tank faster if it has less holes to start with.
Flying, while cool, seems overly complicted and we would likely have to immediately abandon the bike anyway, both because of needing to conduct repairs and our teammates lack of open-mindedness. Also:

You three left the interior and got on top of the tank. The Captain volunteered to do so due to having superior firepower and also because he wanted to be an inspirational model for his warriors. Shortly after that the Astarte's firepower was backed up with two Hellguns and your Plasma Pulse.

Bolter rounds, Plasma Projectiles and two Laser Beams suddenly started hitting back against the alien enemies. This apparently took them by surprise as it was a pretty risky and suicidal tactic, you and the other two Scions would only have one chance, your armors would surely be no match against their weapons.

Your combined efforts and fire managed to hunt down the second vehicle who like the other ended descending in a spiralling way until it crash landed and created a small explosion. Only the apparent leader of the now deceased and broken group was the only surviving member. Knowing that he had no chances to win he showed the characteristic cowardly of their race and decided to drive away as fast as he could.

Enraged you opened your many wings and proceeded to fly behind before the pilot reached its top speed and became unreachable. You heard on your back the words of the Captain asking you what in the warp were you doing but still you didn't flinched and continued advancing, they were aliens, they had to die.
>>
>>42868270

On the air you flew on an arching way and ended descending onto the front side of his bike with your chainsword already revving hard. With your hard landing you used the own force of your impact to sink the chain weapon onto the engine of the bike. You almost slipped as it wasn't a metallic surface and the rounded and small surface made moving and staying on top pretty hard, still you managed to stay still and activated the chains with devastating effect; as if it were an eggshell the armor broke into several pieces and left a big enough crack for you to enter your weapon and start sawing away the alien mechanism, the impact was so big that several sparks and strange fluids started spilling from the impact point, splashing against your body during the process.

The Eldar biker screamed on top of his lungs.

"CRAZY MON'KEIGH! YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SURVIVE NOW!"

You tried to remove the sword but it was stuck on the bike, the alien took advantage and grabbed his own powersword, getting on top of the bike too and trying to slash you as it continued to fly in a straight line at a ever increasing speed.

Unsheathing your powerblade you became able to somewhat deflect his attacks but he was in a clear advantage. He was faster, more agile, had a bigger weapon and unlike your metallic feet his soles didn't seemed to slip on the sleek surface of his bike.

>You are stronger, fight him and show him the superiority of the human genes over his filthy alien DNA.

The combat was on, you looked around for a second to see your surroundings and noticed that in the few seconds you had spent on top of the Jetpack the vehicle had already taken you far away from your original position. The Eldar noticed you were distracted and spinning over his own axis made a circular slash that cut your chest and left a perfectly straight cut on your armor but luckily for you wasn't deep enough to reach your chest.

You attacked back by slashing with your own blade, since his weapon was way longer he managed to block it easily, you were counting on it thought and before he had time to parry you tried to land a punch on his head. This took him by surprise but still his keen senses made him back a few inches and avoid being hit. The combat was somewhat awkward and hazardous as between you and him there was a chainsword that was still activated and would be able to saw and kill us if we weren't careful enough.

He laughed and pushed you with his blade. If it weren't fixed to your body it would have flew away several meters. You tried to not fall to your death and stumbled slightly; as if he was possessed by an unseen force he once again raised his blade to land a finishing blow.

It was then when your claw dendrite grabbed him by his thin ankle and made him clumsily fall, his face ended only a couple of inches away from the spinning blades of your chain weapon. You grabbed him by the arms and used your flamer dendrites to burn his face while you slowly pushed his face against the spinning blades.

He screamed in pain but it ceased shortly after the blade reached his alien brain and completely severed his grey matter. His blood had sprayed your face, armor and robes that didn't mattered, you were victorious.

You kicked him out and then tried to grab the sword but it was way to deep to be removed. You tried with all your strength but it wouldn't bulge even a mere inch. Its destructive force was starting to severely affect the bike and the vehicle started loosing control and power. Before it crash landed you jumped away and flied towards the Tank, feeling guilty about losing your trusty chainsword.

During your return you thought seeing a massive humanoid figure on the further distance but you couldn't move to investigate it, returning towards your vehicle was the top priority now. The tank was on the move again, this wasn't surprising, you had surely spent several minutes between your displacement and return, they had surely thought you had died and went on the move to avoid being an easy objective.

The Astartes managed to see you in the distance and made the cog symbol with his hands as a sign of gratitude and respect, you heavy landed and alerted everybody inside of your presence, the Captain went out to inspect what that noise was with his Bolt Pistol on one hand and seemed to be pretty surprised to seeing you. The Eldar blood that now stained your body was a clear proof of your victory and he gladfully let you get inside once again.

"We thought you were dead or a cowardly traitor." He commented once inside.

"He had attacked this tank, it was a personal matter."

The Captain tilted his head in respect.

"So, is it the first Eldar that you have killed?" He asked.

"Well -"

You couldn't end your phrase. A mechanically augmented and vitriol filled voice roared on the distance, it didn't sounded artificial but melodic. Whatever was augmenting it wasn't human technology.

"Heracor! You killed my brother and you want to kill my world! I'll eradicate you like the cancer that you are!"

You looked outside and saw the massive giant that you had seen before, it was a Wraithknight piloted by Esciallan.

"Remember the Ranger that you had killed back in the Hive? The one that your team burned alive? It was my twin brother!! But I have had enough! I have been way too good with your kind, you all deserve to die for the good of my own race!"

The Bone, Black, Lime and Red colored walker strode towards your direction with graceful steps that made it look incredibly lightweight for its size. On its arms it had what looked like a great sized cannon, comparable in dimensions to your StormBlade's Plasma Blaster and a shield of some short.

With a blinding light the coils of your tank's titan killing weapon started activating, surely eager to take down an enemy so big and so powerful. To everybody's surprise instants before the plasma beam formed and was launched the giant leaped into the air and managed to avoid its destruction by mere inches; the Astartes threw all his Krak grenades at it and used its Bolter but he managed to shrug it off as if it were little more than an annoyance with the use of the shield.

It landed on its feet with the same agility and grace and with a quick movement used the back of its hand to slap the Astartes out of the Tank. Our morale dropped to minimum levels when we all saw the heavy and mighty demigod flying backwards as if he were a mere ragdoll.
>>
>>42869640

The driver desperately accelerated while the Main Gunner tried to reload and spin his turret 180 degrees, the captain was yelling at everybody to shoot and also screaming conflicting orders to the driver, he was urging himself to drive them out of there but also to not abandon the Astartes.

Calmly the Wraithknight raised its cannon and aimed towards our direction, not even caring about our retreat

"XENOS! Know that I do what I do now and have done in the past so I might see my family again! AVE OMNISIAH! "

This comment that was blasted over the Tank's vox caster seemed to shake the walker, as it made it flinch and sent the projectile of his cannon too far away, making it miss completely. The projectile created a strange warping explosion that left behind a twisted empty hole.

"AND WHAT ABOUT MY FAMILY? I HAD TO ABANDON THEM TO PROTECT THEM AND NOW I AM WITNESSING HOW THEY ARE ALL BEING SLAIN! I AM INSIDE THE CORPSE OF MY OWN TWIN BROTHER!"

By that time the turret had managed to aim at him again. The combat wasn't over.

>Try once again to shoot him down. If he tries to jump again get out and throw several grenades to sabotage his landing.

Once again the weapon charged and launched its destructive load towards the foul enemy. As if this were a mere dance or some kind of theater play it once again tried to jump above us, this time the Gunner was ready and elevated the cannon as much as he could while the energy beam was still active.

The impact wasn't enough to completely cripple him but it destroyed part of its left thigh. You opened the top hatch and raised out of it, on the air the Wraithknight protected with his shield once again, surely thinking that you had planned a direct offensive actions. Instead you launched your grenades with the pin and asked to the crew for their own grenades.

With great strength and calculation you threw it all to the place were it would land, they ended somewhat sparse between each other but that didn't mattered, on the last instant you grabbed your arc gun and aimed at the closest grenade. The Wraithknight stopped blocking his view with the shield and looked in horror how he was about to land into a improvised minefield.

When it landed he tried to jump again but the stress ended fracturing and shattering the leg that the Tank had damaged beforehand. Less than a second after that you pulled the trigger and saw an electrical arc fly towards the grenades, making it explode, its radius reached the rest and soon it all turned into a massive fiery ball that engulfed half of the giant.
>>
>>42870188

Once the explosion was over you saw that the combined effect of the grenades hadn't been enough to destroy it completely but that it was so damaged and fractured that it couldn't stay on its feet anymore.

You looked down at them all.

"This is personal, I have to do it alone."

There was a silence and after some time the Captain answered with a weak nod. You left the tank and walked towards the downed WraithKnight, it tried to raise its arms to desperately shoot at you but Esciallan only managed to make them tremble at most.

Angrily he opened the chamber he was in with a kick, he had on his arms a jewel, similar to the one that the Warboss wanted. He looked at you spitefully with several leaking wounds that crossed his face and body and made him be completely bloodied.

"You...you don't get it do you?"

"The only thing that I get is that we had a truce that ended, that we are now foes and that I have to kill you to fulfill my mission."

"Don't be so vain! I am not talking about you!...This is my the soul of my brother!" He showed you the jewel, the hand that held it so full of rage that was even trembling.

"My kin is born cursed, our souls are cursed. We have to store them to preserve them...I...this is all I have, my family."
>>
>>42870212

"Stop your nonsense."

"WHAT THE WARBOSS WANTS IS MY CRAFTWORLD'S INFINITY CIRCUIT IF IT IS DESTROYED IT WILL SEND MILLIONS OF SOULS DIRECTED TOWARDS SHE WHO THIRST! THE DARK GOD OF THOSE CHAOS SPACE MARINES! WHY DO YOU THINK THEY WERE PLANNING ON ATTACKING US!"

All that seemed like nonsense to you. You pointed your arc Gun towards his forehead, he simply looked down, defeated.

"Humans are condemned; Eldars are condemned. They have already won."

You had no other option but to kill him, sparing him was heresy. You pressed the trigger and saw how the electric arc involved his cranium and made it explode, oddly part of that same energy went to the same arm that was holding that jewel and made it explode too.

Feeling incredibly confused you returned to the Tank, only to be received by the loud cheers of the Scions.

>Rest and checkup the Tank.
>Search for the Astartes, even if he is dead he should be returned.

Feeling way more relaxed now that the danger was over you sat on the chair and relaxed for a couple of minutes while the Tank scouted the area in the search of the Marine. It had to drive very slowly because as it was a superheavy vehicle it wasn't fitted for scouting duties and the risk of inadvertently driving over the Astartes was constant.

After resting you started looking for damage around and other repairable assets. It was all correct, if only the crewsmen inside were starting to get somewhat exhausted of being in such a hot and enclosed area, both the Supercharged engine and the Plasma cannon generated a massive heat that made the inside reach temperatures of 55º ( 131 F ).

Every time one opened the top hatch the hot air was expelled and exchanged with the cold one that were present on the snowy biome of the Craftworld. This was pleasant but the constant exchange between hot and cold ended tiring and affecting them so some degree.

We technically didn't succeed in our mission of finding the Ultramarine, as it was in fact him the one who found us. We crossed next to him without noticing and he had to contact us via vox-channel. The Tactical Marine had his right arm bent in an impossible way and it would surely have become way more twisted if it weren't for the durability and rigidness of his Power Armor.

After a quick examination by the medic she diagnosed a dislocated shoulder. This was an apparently easy fix, we only had to grab his arm and pull the shoulder into the correct position. Still it wasn't as easy as it sounded, the medic was a strong woman herself but she alone couldn't even flinch the Marine's arm, less place its bone. The mechanic considered chaining the arm to the tank and using it to pull but I completely rejected the idea as it could rip his arm or maybe break the chain and anger its machine spirit.
>>
>>42870805

At the end we all had to team up and pull together but we ended succeeding, with a great sharp sound and if it were a greatly oiled piece the bone connected with the rest of the body and let him use once again both arms at full control.

The medic seemed somewhat confused after that.

"All the times that I did this procedure the patient screamed in pain...are you sure we did it correctly?" She asked.

Before the Astartes could answer she continued talking.

"Well of course It has been correct, it is just that you Adeptus Astartes feel no pain right?"

The Ultramarine shook his head.

"We do in fact feel pain as much as you do, it is just that I have learned to accept it within me. If I had let myself out and screamed I would have revealed our position. You have done an excellent job, my most sincere Gratitude, Doctor."

After that you all drove towards the main objective, at first the Captain permitted some chitchatting about the events and praises to both the Medic and you but as soon as we reached the limits and were about to enter he ordered us to stay silent and focus.

We were entering a city of ample and clean streets and sleek looking buildings that seemed to have no fixtures or different parts and instead looked as if they were a solid object that was more of an artpiece than a building.

The enemy had already reached those streets and the bodies of Eldar, Orks and Traitor Marines could be found from time to time, still those outskirts seemed to be pretty untouched and safe, it was in the core of the city where the carnage was developing.

Its kinda redundant to attack just one faction unless they gain too much of an advantage and threaten to reach the infinity circuit first. We don't know any of that right now. Something tells me any eldar would have a hard time betraying their people, even then it might take some time. And just rushing in risks death by a thousand cuts. If we're engaged by airborne units the marine and stormtroopers can provide cover for us assuming we just go high and not far.

Before the Driver can get its tired feet on the accelerator you place your metallic hand over his shoulder and stop him.

"Wait, I have a plan..."

You leave the safety of the tank for a second to head out and tinker with the small transmission dish that its installed on the back part. After connecting to it you manage to get a hold of most vox channels. With that done you expand your six wings and fly upwards, using the zoom in your eyes to try to find the best route to take.

There are several points in which the Orks and the Angels of Ecstasy have ended their truce and proceeded to attack at each other, surely both are so backstabbing souls that they decided to betray each other when they found that they were so close to their common objective, the destruction of the Infinity Circuit. You cannot truly find where the Circuit is but you manage to find a ring of Wraithknigths, Tanks and Gun Emplacements that surrounds the biggest tower that there is. If it is in some building it is surely inside of that Tower.
>>
>>42871686

After doing your scouting you grab your Phospex pistol and shoot at a close spire, making it slowly burn with its green and ghastly looking flames. With a heavy landing you grab the transmitter and play with your own vox-caster to give yourself a roughly sounding Orkoid voice, before starting to speak you mentally ready yourself to sound like an ork.

"OI YOU PANSY GITS I HAZ FOUND DA ROK! IT IS IN DA GREEN FIRE TOWAH! IT EZ GUNNAH BE MINE YOU 'EAR!? WAAAAGH!!!"

With a jump you entered into the Tank and instantly felt the cold barrel of the Captain's Bolt pistol on your forehead.

"What in the Warp have you done? Have you betrayed us!?"

"I have diverted them from our objective by setting a trap and making them come here. We have to move now!"

The Captain seemed to doubt and with an irritated nod he ordered the Driver to take them out of there.

"I know you aren't one of my boys son but as long as you are in my tank you will do what I say and not act independently."

"Your Tank?" I say somewhat defiantly.

The captain seemed to suddenly remember that this particular part wasn't a possession of the Imperial Guard or the Inquisition, but the Adeptus Mechanicus.
>>
>>42871700
After driving for a few feet and leaving the danger perimeter we saw a scared Eldar, since it was an alien it was hard to say its real age but it looked like a teenager. The moment she spotted us she tried to run but her wounded legs were no match for our powerful engine, we passed and cut her path, the Space Marine jumped and blocked her exit paths and seconds later she was surrounded by the barrels of several Hellguns and a two Bolt weapons.

The girl hold a jewel tightly as she cried in fear.

"Where is the Infinity Circuit. NOW!" Said the Astartes, who was by far the biggest and most intimidating of us all.

Surprisingly the girl didn't spoke, knowing that doing so could mean the complete obliteration of the souls of her ancestors and everybody she knew.

The Ultramarine grabbed her by the wrist and with a mere movement snapped it, twisting her hand in an impossible angle and making it dangle like a dead weight.

She screamed in pain, but continued silent.

"This pain...is nothing with what Slaanesh would do to me..."

The Marine continued breaking her body, he continued with her other wrist, then her ankles, later arms and knees...and even when she was little more and a limpy and shivering body that bleed from all her limbs she continued silent. She was getting paler and paler, the stress and blood loss were slowly killing her. On her last moments of life she inadvertently looked at a general direction and smiled, surely thinking that she had been brave and not betrayed her race; still she unknowingly did it, by looking there and smiling she gave the Ultramarine all the information that he need.

None of us was able to see all the torture, sooner or later we all retracted into the safety and tried to ignore the sounds of her bones breaking. The last thing we saw when we looked from the windows was the Black Power armor covered in fresh bloodstains.

"Seven degrees to your left." Was the only thing he told us once he got on top of the tank.
>>
>>42871738

We all continued in silence, avoiding to looking at each other and trying to excuse ourselves for what we had experienced. To try to busy your mind and mute your own conscience you connected with the Tank and searched inside its small computer several registers and information. There was one that was called "True_StormBlade" that caught your attention, it talked about how this Tank wasn't a regular StormBlade and had a modification in its Plasma Blaster and Turret.

According to the Magii that did the modification it was designed to be used in case the Tank found itself close to an enemy Titan, so close that it couldn't use its Main weapon due to the haphazard of causing splash damage and the following auto-destruction. This Modification could create a stable magnetization of the coils that would trap the plasma load instead of shooting it. There was a small video attached to the file. You opened it and saw what it was:

If activated it spent as much as three regular shoots but it would allow for several features would unlock in the weapon, for starters four additional rotor engines would let the turret spin indefinitely at about sixty kilometers per hour. The Plasma Blaster would create a Blade of Plasma that would remain stable and atomize everything in its path for about an entire minute.

In the video it was shown of the Tank Drove past several walls of Adamantium and was able to cut them as it advanced. It was then placed between two walls and the turret started spinning as the "Blade" activated, in an instant an energy disc formed and destroyed everything on its path, leaving those two walls completely destroyed.

They had pretty much turned the StormBlade...into a true Blade of Storm.

"This tank...This isn't a normal StormBlade."

You weren't truly connected to the real world as your eyes and senses were completely devoted to the Machine you were connected at, you couldn't hear, see or sense the rest of the crew but you knew they were there.

"It can create a Magnetoplasmatic blade that can maintain its stability for about sixty seconds at the spend of three charges."

There was a distant buzzing out there, someone was talking and making questions in the real world, somewhat angry at having to disconnect you logged out and returned.

"Hey, care to explain that? How does it affect us?"

"Imagine a Power Sword of about 130 feet that is about twenty times more powerful than a regular powerword and that can be spung at about four revolutions per second."

You hoped that it now got the basic idea of it.
>>
>>42872240

"Still no idea, said the medic."

Somewhat apathetically you answered her.

"It isn't your duty to understand it, when the time comes just use it."

You went back to the machine and searched for other differences between a regular StormBlade and the one you were driving. You weren't lucky thought, beside small changes like containers for the storage of incense and oils or the possibility of using servitors instead of gunners you didn't noticed anything as big as the True StormBlade.

By the time you returned to reality you saw the Tank stopped and hid between some rubble. There were several Eldar Troops and vehicles pretty close to your position and the ground was paved with the deceased bodies of Orks and Traitor Marines.

"Well..." Said the Captain. "Aren't you the rightful ruler of this tank? Very well, I leave our lives at your hand."

"Maths are our friends and the numbers don't lie, we cannot succeed a direct confrontation against so many enemies. I suggest creating another fake vox contact to direct as many orks and traitor marines as we can towards this focal point and weaken the Eldar as much as we can."

The Captain simply shrug off, somewhat angry at you for telling him that this was your tank and not his.

"How is the situation out there?" You said to the Marine across the private vox channel.

"I have covered the Tank with some rubble, debris and dead bodies. It is invisible to the naked eye. "

Knowing that it was safe to leave you once back returned to the dish placed on the back and tried to send your message to the most frequencies as possible.

"HAF YOU SEEN DAT PANSY TOWAH IN DA CENTER? I BET DA JEWEL ROK EZ IN DERE AIGHT?! IT IS GUNNA BE MINE NOW! WAAAAGH!!"

Most Eldars also caught the message and got ready, not bothering to study it and see if it was real or fake.

Soon the first green hordes appeared, the stronger and bigger ones now ported on their bodies looted parts of Corrupted Astartes armor, apparently they ended being the final winners of the war between the two warriors.
>>
>>42873083

The clash erupted and at first it seemed that the refined Eldar had the winning stake since they were better equipped and had a real military doctrine, still the Orks seemed to be neverending and the Eldar started die, first it was a couple of them but then it went by the dozens. The Alien warriors used their strange rune sorcery to completely destroy many of those Orks but nonetheless more kept appearing.

Among the Battle the duel between an Ork and an Eldar psyker duo was the most shocking one. Their powers were incredibly dangerous and they seemed to be on a similar level of mastery over the powers of the warp. They ended killing several Ork Boyz and Eldar guardians while trying to kill each other and their sole presence seemed to make the world tremble.

That was the Ork Psyker that you had to capture and now that you were able to see them vomiting a greenish fire and making Eldar heads explode you felt both a desire to run and to kill it.

The Apparent leader of the Eldar backed into the Interior of the Tower, it wasn't a cowardly retreat as she had several warriors to protect her and she was entering inside a building without any other apparent exit.

Shortly after the sound of a massive set of horns and engines roared, it was so noisy and loud that it shattered several windows and fractured buildings as it passed. Its origin was a massive rig driven by the Warboss, it was the biggest vehicle that you had seen so far and behind carried a trailer full of at least sixty orks.
>>
In its chassis it had six linked engines that were somehow backed up by an even bigger engine that was between them. On its grill it had an airscrew that had a couple of crude blades attached instead of proper propellers, instead of front wheels it had a massive cylinder full of spikes that gored everything on its path.

Anything that was able to survive being crushed by the Deffrolla was launched against the blade propellers and turned into a fine meaty pulp that was then absorbed by the engines and cremated for further propulsion.

The crazy Warboss was completely mad and desired to break the Infinity Circuit more than anything. He drove over Chaos Space Marines, Orks and Eldar alike but then he meet a foe that he could crush.

From the entrance door a massive being of pure molten metal appeared and used its sword to slash and cut the incoming vehicle in two. The Warboss was able to jump before being bisected but most of the Orks that were on the trailer behind weren't so lucky and suffered a quick yet painful death, the few ones that survived died when the two separate parts of the War Rig exploded, the fire covered completely the tall figure without apparently damaging it at all.

"An Avatar..." Said the Ultramarine.

The Warboss stood up and started fighting the Avatar with ferocity, happy to find an enemy bigger and badder than himself.

>How big is the tower? Could we cut it down entirely?

Humanity is well known for looking at something and thinking "How can I do X" instead of "I cannot do X"

The tower is massive. I think I described the Infinity Circuit as a Jewel that is at least 3 stories tall. That's like at least 9 meters tall. Imagine something that is designed to protect something so big and precious.

Of course we can cut it down, but we would need a lot of time and effort. Way more time that we can afford it seems.

Thanks for running! Any decisions we could have made that would have been better or alternatively screw us over? Without spoiling too much of course. So how does it look for us on our return if we bring back both the mechanicus cruiser and the weird boy? Would we want to be (if other options present themselves)? Heracor would probably consider any and everything if it involved his daughter being ok.

Well I gotta admit that recovering the Explorator Cruiser was something that I didn't had planned. That was something awesome!

About the decisions you guys take you all seem to be pretty darn intelligent and try not to head into the trap options. It's hard to be nasty with players like you.

>So how does it look for us on our return if we bring back both the mechanicus cruiser and the weird boy?

Well...the Explorator Cruiser entered into the Warp with only some coordinates, it didn't had any Navigator on itself. Non Navigator travel is possible with the use of superadvanced cogitators but they are incredibly slow and less safe. Who says that they have made their return safely?

The weird boy was enough to get the pardon. The Techmarine also said that if we were successful we would be reinstated as a full member of the Mechanicus and even be rewarded due to our sacrifice. I have a pleasant surprise for when that happens unless you guys screw it up

>I imagine some things will be strained, and I doubt everything is going perfectly in the skitarii either.

Heracor was pretty accepted and somewhat famous among his Skitarii as he ended the reign of abuse and bullying that the last leader had created. Surely they have asked the Inquisitor where he is and she has told them the truth; still there is surely a majority of them who still stand by his side and think that this is just a misunderstanding.

>Would we be accepted back on the ship?

Unless the Inquisitress says the contrary I don't see why not.

>Would we want to be (if other options present themselves)?

The Inquisitress is the closest link we have with Liwet. If he still thinks she's in love with her he should deal with the crazy antics of the Inquisitress.

just about 10, and im only messaging you now because the boss let me take the day off so i could go do a family gathering thing. Just letting you know, you're awesome, and i hope you dont get hit with no players like you were a couple of threads back, that was painful

Yeah, I have had the urge of deleting the quest more than once because of how slow it was. I was just thinking that it sucked and that people weren't into it.

Hell, running this is pretty hard for me. I only do it twice a week because I have to start and end it pretty late and having only a few hours to rest kills me.

I wanted to end the quest before the school year started but I wasn't able to. I love to quest and in most of my free time I dedicate some time for how the next thread will develop. Still, it sometimes takes way too much time.

I'm just glad to know that some people enjoy my work and that I have been able to improve my english with it.

Admittedly, i did try to get into it a lot earlier, but those first threads really were pretty unreadable. I finally got a bunch of painkillers and booze and read through them a few weeks back when i had my wisdom teeth pulled, and when you binge-read you can really see how much you've improved. You used to have functional, basic english with little knowledge of grammar, but you've become a storyteller worthy of praise. I only hope you'll keep at it, even after you finish with heretek

Yeah, my first threads were pretty hard to read and even cringeful, and yet somehow they are the ones who have the highest scores on sup/tg. I doubt Black Library is going to help me but if by some chance they are interested in turning the Quest into a novel or series of novels I would have to edit the hell out of those first threads.

After I finish with this Quest I might take some time to rest and focus on my education. When I'm done with that I have two possible quest projects, one would be MexiFallout Quest, which would tell the story of the post apocalyptic Mexico in the Fallout universe.

The other would be original and based on a half written novel that I started but never became able to end. I guess that if turned into a quest I might be able to surpass my writter's block.

Shit, I had no idea this was up. I was watching the game.
Personally, I'm more interested in that novel.
What's it about?
