>Here are the last thread's questions. I couldn't answer them because I fell asleep. Sorry about that.

>Did we replace our wraithbone ribs?
We didn’t; like the rest of our body they are somewhat damaged due to having some warpcrystals attached to them and the rough operation that we had to make to remove them. Still, unless they are looked upon a potent scanner or by some specialist they are completely indistinguishable from
>how bad is Alaria panicking?
First her original parents die, then she is told that his adoptive father has died too, surely the Inquisitress Karelia isn’t letting her daughter to go near her because of the crime of her parent…She’s suffering.
>are they stopping the adoption?
The warriors have better things to do than worry about that. They might have made contact with the HQ and commented about Heracor’s survival but nothing else. Still since that place is a military area and most personnel are either Scions or Astartes they haven’t found a parent for her yet, there still might be time to recover her.

>How upset was Karelia over her "friend" getting a useful tool killed?
She’s conflicted; she despised Heracor but still kept him close due to how useful he could be and over the years she somewhat started trusting and liking him. When she discovered about Heracor’s past crimes she felt betrayed, he had saved her from a world full of criminals when he was a criminal itself.

Karelia laments both his death and that he wasn’t able to succeed in his mission as she believes. She had true hope on him.

>Did Liwet get notified?
She hasn’t been notified yet but surely she will, sooner or later she will send another Astropathic message and then she will receive another message back saying that the person that should have received it is now dead.

>Do we recognize the chapter of the marine? Can you at least tell us the color?
Heracor was pretty surprised and enraged about the sudden development of things. Besides by the time he had somewhat calmed the Marine was busy with Arandano. We will discover his chapter and how he looks in this thread.
>>
>>42796131
>Take the Cruiser out of the Hulk towards safety. It will have to shoot its way out and to safety, this will also need the presence of a techpriest and some personnel to endure survivality. Half of the team and Arandano would abandon.
>Stay on the ship. Use its forges to create a Magnus Opus that will be fast and deadly. The Ultimate race vehicle.

You looked at the cameras and outside and saw how the violet warpfire continued covering the surface of the Space Hulk with its supernatural veil and made it glow as if it were the illuminating lamp that Death itself carried. There wasn’t much time left.

“Arandano, how many people would you need to start the engines and take the ship out of this ferric monstrosity?”

“U-uh. Well I could do it on my own, but the help of another three people would make the process even faster, even if it requires telling them of secrets about the Omnissiah…”

“The holy Astartes, Captain, Mechanic, Demoman, one of the Drivers and one of the Medics stay with me and the rest go with Arandano and help her turning on the engines and activating all the weapon systems!”

“Why should I obey you!?”

Screamed the Captain, surprised and enraged at the fact that someone that wasn’t his superior dared to issue him an order. The Astartes stepped in, making his heavy boots reverberate against the floor and creating an intimidating silence with his presence. His body was covered in many purity seals and gold accessories along with other decorations that contrasted heavily against the jet black paint that covered the rest of his armor; on his right shoulder rested an ultramarine colored surface in whose center laid the great symbol of Guilliam’s primogenitors; the Ultramarines.
>>
>>42796175

“Maybe because we are in a Cruiser of his pertaining and he has been able to survive for weeks on his own. This voidship isn’t only a mere vehicle for him but a shelter and a relic at the same time, a priceless treasure. He’s the one who right now has more intelligence about our surrounding areas and the foes that plague it. We should do what he says, at least for now.”

There was an awkward silence caused by the internal conflict and tension formed. It lasted long thought, we were in a hurry and the Captain soon swallowed his own pride and started obeying you, albeit begrudgingly.

Your team and you rushed into one of the Trains towards the Alpha Wing to head directly into the Garages; there you would work on your next vehicle. Arandano went towards the Engines to awaken them with the remaining driver, medic and sniper.

By the time you reached your destination they were already starting with their mission, from time to time an automated message warning about engine activations could be heard and in a few occasions you saw entire corridors going dark from sudden power outages that were created to feed the massive cogitators that were necessary to calculate even the minimum detail that was needed to make those engines work properly.

The Garage seemed to be an open area full of vehicles that were covered in red loin cloths filled with prayers and holy cog symbols that had been embroiled with fine copper wire. While not all of those vehicles were covered the great majority of them were, forcing your group to raise them in the search of a working vehicle that could be useful. Most of the times the vehicles weren’t on a working condition, their chassis opened and showing their inner mechanisms and cables as if they were butchered bodies with their intestines out. Having the Astartes on our side was of a great help, his augmented muscles and long legs let him stride and cross the different aisles with ease and speed, for every vehicle we inspected he was able to uncover and study three.

It was him the one who discovered the vehicle that would become our next war chariot.

“Over here! Servant of the Gilded Cog!”

We all ran towards the source of his voice, he was far enough to make us pant from the exercise. When we reached him he was standing over the hull of a massive StormBlade Tank that was armed with a Plasma Blastgun that was as long and wide as the Marine itself.

“W-we have been blessed by his holy magnificence.”

It seemed to be on a pretty good state, if only abandoned but not in a condemned state. After a quick inspection you saw that it was on a working condition but lacked fuel. You sent the mechanic and the pilot after them.

“We need to fill its gut with holy distilled promethium. Can you two go to find it? I think your skills and accustom to fuels will make you two the idea binary group to find the necessary Promethium.”

“Guzzolene? Sure do sparkhead, high Octane innit? Got it!”

Like a thunder the Mechanic/Driver duo ran towards the search of the vital liquid. The upper hatch was stuck after centuries, its hinges cracked with the sound of rusty metal grinding; nothing that some sacred oil and unguents couldn’t solve. With the help of the grease and the combined strength of the Marine and other two Scions they became able to open it, there wasn’t anybody inside. You issued some simple orders to the rest of the group like cleaning the dust of the lights or oiling some fixtures; meanwhile you entered into its interior and started the necessary recitals to awaken the machine spirit that inhabited its dormant chassis.

It awakened and all the lights turned on, still its battery wouldn't last long without the necessary fuel to keep it running. Quickly you grabbed a coaxial connector and plugged yourself into the cogitator of the machine, you needed to download as much information as you could from this vehicle before it went to sleep again. You were lucky and soon an entire document was downloaded onto your brain and visualized on your many eyes.

Only 25 km/h at most. It wasn't the fastest option but surely the safest one you would find around, besides this last race will surely be less of a race and more like a genocide. Aliens and Heretics killing each other, at least this massacre won't affect the Imperium at large.

With a jump you leave the vehicle and surprising everybody around make your way towards a series of crystal bottles and other containers that lie around, then you grab some shelves and arrange them together by dragging their heavy metallic surfaces and generating a lot of sparks and noise along the way. Nobody but you knows what you are doing so they just continue doing the chores you have ordered with one eyebrow raised under their skull shaped helmets and muttering across the private vox-channel if you have gotten mad.

By the time the two other Scions arrive with a barrel full of fuel each you ask them for their help once again. They are tired and even their war and train hardened bodies make them huff in exhaustion but nevertheless their military discipline makes them obey your order without a question.

You end sacrificing all your incendiary grenades and using some other chemicals lying around to overcharge the promethium they have carried. After the process was done it had a slightly orange hue on its thick and toxic smelling interior, as a last touch you dropped a spic of Phospex dust, making it look even more deadlier than before.
>>
>>42796758

As you were pouring it all inside you noticed a great rumble all across the ship. The engines were awakened and they were starting to tear the Space Hulk as they were moving away from its core.

"Everybody inside!"

Once awakened the engines roared and spitted, from the exhausts a cerulean flame flew and charred the chrome pipes with their intense heat as they left a wake of shiny green sparkles that burned intensely.

First Set of Options
>A: Let the pilot drive, stay inside to make repairs and other maintenance when necessary.
>B: Be the one who drives, this is your machine and you are his servant. Nobody like you will be able to control and understand the Tank.

Second Set of Options ( Roll 1d100 )
>1: The Tank is airtight sealed, take the tank out and drive across the outer hull. This will let you see exactly where you are at all times but if the Hulk starts firing at the Cruiser you will need to avoid the shelling.
>2: Drive across the corridors until you reach one of the Hangar doors that connects with the Hulk. If this works you will be able to reach the interior of the Hulk with ease but it will surely be the most time consuming option as you will have to turn several time across the labyrinthine corridors that form the Ship.

Everybody immediately got inside with the exception of the Ultramarine.

"I will be outside and fend off any possible attackers!"

With a push he closed the upper hatch and using his perfect muscles sealed it tight. Before you could react the Scion driver had already got his bottom on the driver's seat. He noticed your intention of being the driver at first and he looked at you with some snark.

"Have you driven any Tank before, sparky?"

"Well, I did not."

"Then let the expert do his duty. Feel free to guide me thought, you are supposed to know those corridors better than I do after all."

You were used to be around crowded machinery but the insides of that place made you feel somewhat squatted. It was then when you truly understood why the Astartes decided to stay outside. He wouldn't have the necessary space to fight and act and his sole huge presence would have turned the small interior into an even more crowded space.

Following your orders the pilot drove towards a great elevator that sealed after your entrance. It was designed to elevate entire groups of people or specialized repair vehicles towards the hull but it was surely the first time it had to lift a tank.

After the long ascending was over an electrical charge electrocuted the floor of the elevator, magnetizing the treads of the Superheavy tank and making it stay tighter against the outer surface.
>>
>>42797358

Across the small slits the outside was near impossible to see or interpret. The energies of the warp created a veiling aurora borealis of strange lights and forms. Somehow the Driver was able to know where he was and after the elevator's door opened he proceeded to drive with haste.

With each sudden acceleration the exhausts left a trail of chemical fire that burnt the void for a few seconds before extinguishing. You connected with the vehicle once again to be able to read its status in real time but nothing but an static image was able to come from its readers, the warp had affected its targeters and auspex.

After about two minutes you became able to distinguish more and understand what was going on. Far away there was a great blue torch that was cremating a a small part of the Hulk with its fire; it was the rear end of the Cruiser who was stuck on the Hulk and was using its massive strenght to tear itself out. Whoever was unlucky enough to be close its engines was now an atomized dust.

The Warp Fire had covered a great part of the Hulk but it hand't reached the Explorator Cruiser yet, its holy symbols dedicated to the Omnissiah and the Emperor had surely kept the toxic blaze away.

Several gun emplacements started to turn around and aim at your direction, some were of Ork design, others were a fusion of metal and flesh, an abominable creation of the Traitor Marines...the greatest of them all was a nightmare inducing mix of both.

Just before they shoot the driver sharply turned around and started to drive towards an area that wasn't connected to the Hulk, the time he reached the limits of the Cruiser he would plunge the Tank into the Warp and condemn us all. You grabbed your Arc Pistol and aimed at the Driver on the side of its head. He had turned crazy!

"On my mark!!" Yelled the Captain.
>>
>>42797393

You tried to stop that madness but everybody stopped by using force and subduing you against your chair.

As the Tank was about to reach the limits the Cruiser managed to completely dislodge itself from the main Hulk, completely separating them. It didn't lasted long thought as mere seconds later the StormBlade was flying away and drifting towards its doom.

The strong magnetism created several electrical arcs between the Tank's treads and the Cruiser's surface. You struggled for a second and then noticed a loud vibration. Somehow the Tank started descending instead of advancing straight towards the nothingness.

Could it be that the Hulk was so massive that it generated some kind of gravity by itself? Whatever it was you noticed how it started to change its course until it aligned in the direction of a massive stained glass panel that showed the magnificence of some unknown Saint.

The Tank completely wrecked the glass, in the other side lied a group of Traitor Marines that was about to make some kind of dark ritual that suddenly became interrupted by your tank's dynamic entrance. The Driver's actions made those marines suffer a rain of crystals that were as thick as a brick and as large as a Land Crawler; not even their armors were able to resist and several became sliced open, there were some others that died when the atmospheric seal became broken and ended being sucked away. Finally your crash land and the following drifting made the Tank run over several Angels of Ecstasy, maiming and killing them instantly.

Still, they were Astartes, the great majority had survived and were now full of rage for your interruption.

Everybody got on her respective seats and soon the Tank's true self was unleashed. Meanwhile you crawled as best as you could and made the few necessary repairs, mostly readjust the few screws that had became loose after the heavy landing.

The heavy weapons on the tank's sides made started piercing and destroying everybody at their reach, anybody who managed to get too close was killed by a combination of Laser and Bolter fire.

The Astartes on top became a living banner that boosted the crew's morale and also gave intel about the enemy's position and fire support.

The driver did his job too, keeping the tank moving at all times to make it a harder objective and running over the wounded enemies to completely finish them off. The only one who was apparently not doing anything was the Main Gunner, who hadn't shoot so far.

A couple of Slaaneshi Sorcerers launched some strange spheres that unleashed into a strange tangle of barbed wire and attached itself to the wounded and the survivors, as if they were puppetters they started using those barbes to control and force them to stay upright and fight even if their arms and legs were completely obliterated. It wasn't until the Astartes was completely destroyed that they lost control of it, making the battle last longer and turning the Traitor into little more than slaves of their ruthless and evil sorcerers.

"Shoot at the Mark!"
>>
>>42798037

Screamed the Ultramarine over the Tank's radio. Suspended on the arcs of the ceiling by many dead bodies that were entangled and fused with a spiked chain lied a massive pendulum like unholy symbol that radiated strange lights and seemed to have some humanoid like phantoms orbiting around it. The Gunner tried to aim but it was way too elevated, he decided instead on destroying the columns that hold it all in place.

With each shoot a great sphere of blue fire and the consistency of a sun flew towards it objective, after the fourth column was destroyed the entire place trembled and the Symbol screamed in orgasmic terror. Its own weight became way too much to bear and it ended falling down.

The sorcerers had been way too busy controlling all the traitor marines to notice what was going on, when they noticed that their holy symbol was about to fall they ceased and open their arms while looking upwards, praising their dark god's name. Now that their majyyks were done the traitor marines became liberated from their suffering, still their demigod resistance made most of them continue alive, suffering a hell but alive. Then, with a single snap the symbol fell.

The driver put the gear on reverse and kicked the accelerator, trying to avoid being crushed by it, he was so desperate that he almost went too far and ended falling from the same fragmented glass panel that he had destroyed. He didn't had nowhere to run nor the time to do it.
>>
>>42798048

With a great crash the Symbol fell and made a great crater on the floor, killing all the sorcerers and suffering marines. Its fall was so massive that it ended fragmenting everything around it and making your tank fell across the floor.

The Tank ended on freefall for a couple of seconds before landing, it was such a heavy land that all the systems had to reset, turning everything black for a second. After the land several pounds of rock and dust fell against the hull, obscuring all the slits and making looking outside nigh impossible.

>Get the engine started, tell the driver to contact the Astartes while we do so. Speaking from experience it sucks be stranded in here. After the engines are up, repair.

You opened a floor panel and accessed the engines to start working hard on repairing whatever had broken and connecting all the cables that got off.

Meanwhile the Driver tried to contact the Astartes and the rest tried to move their side cannons as much as they could in a vain attempt to remove dust and rubble that had accumulated.

It took the Astartes five minutes to respond but at the end he did. He descended from the tank as the ground started to collapse and managed to reach and grab a rebar bar that was poking out of the floor pan. The next minutes he shoot down and killed the few survivors before descending with an agile jump.

Once he was on the lower floor he repeated the process and then, he finally answered the call of the Driver. He left his Chainsword and Bolter away and started removing the rubble.

At the same time you ended your restart rituals and chanted a prayer of correct function the engine. After that you started your repairs by observing what was damaged and immediately fixing it up.

The Astartes and you pretty much ended your respective tasks at the same time, completely liberating and repairing the StormBlade.

After knowing that the outside was safe you opened the outer hatch and moved towards the outside of the Tank to connect yourself to a small satellite dish that lied on the outside and worked as a long relay distance communicator. There was still some faint air currents created by the sucking that the breach had caused but the Hulk was so big that it somehow created its own atmosphere and at the current distance it was safe to go out without any voidsuit.

The Space Marine was covered in blood and dust, a mix that stained its colors and made his enemies find him even more terrifying, if that was possible.

When the connection was done you tried to make contact with them, it took you a while but you ended being successful to some degree. The sound was kind of glitchy and there was a lot of background noise and interference but still, it was the best you could manage without any other specialized equipment.

The Captain asked for reports of their status. Apparently they had suffered some damage on one side of the ship but they managed to return fire with the few macrocannons bateries that still had shells inside of them. It wasn't enough to cripple or truly damage the Hulk but at least they gave them enough time.

There was a very faint countdown on the the background. They were about to leave the Hulk and enter into another Warpstream to cross its flows all the way towards the Deathwatch's HQ. There they would inform of Heracor's survival and how he saved the Cruiser.

Everybody, including the Astartes shared a praising message for their good work and their good wills. Then the count reached zero and the distance between the two ships became too big for the range of your dish. After that only white noise came from the speaker.
>>
>>42798853

Back on the Tank you sunk on the seat somewhat down. It was good to be with another humans again but so far those were pretty strict and you couldn't seen their faces. In fact they gave you the sensation of being surrounded by servitors instead of pure humans.

"So, is there any special direction you want to lead me?"

Said the Driver with a cheerful tone.

"This is a labyrinth of Metal in whose corners lie xenos and heretics, anywhere you decide to go you will find one of the two or maybe even both at the same time. It doesn't matters were to go because we will find enemies of the Empire in all directions. Just keep advancing and shooting, its what we humans do best."

Your words seemed to boost his morale as he whistled under his helmet and drove faster.

Well, you guys want to fight now that you have a Tank so no matter how high the roll is there will be somebody to fight. Of all the possible outcomes a nat 100 would end with a great chamber full of unattended Ork tanks and walkers next to a refueling deposit.

Just a single shoot would send them all to smithereens. I guess that the 94 roll will lead to something similar.

>>42798957

>Rolled 94: Orks

Not far away from our starting point we started to see several totem poles and other strange furniture or devices made from scrap metal and bones among other crude materials. The more your vehicle advanced the more common those sightings became until you were completely surrounded by them.

All around you the sound of high pitched murmurs could be heard and if you looked closely you could see some shadows moving.

"Gretchings." Said the Astartes who was still looking from outside.

"Don't get confident, their Ork masters might use them as live bombs or send them in waves until our threads clog with their guts. Stay sharp."

After another few feet you all could see a shiny neon sign that was bright green and read as it follows:

"MISTAH BLAKKFINGAH'S GULF 'N GULP RECHARGIN STATION"

Inside lied a massive chamber full of Orks vehicles of all kinds and sizes: Tanks, Walkers, Bikes... and a mix of them all.

Most of the Orks in there were either drivers or stormboyz who needed for fuel their rocket backpacks. Surprisingly they all got the fuel from the same shared deposit and most of them even dared to drank from it when their deposits were full. Worst of all was that there were even some of them that dared to drink and smoke some thick cigars at the same time.
>>
>>42799315
It was a miracle that they hand't blown up yet. Still, humanity was here to break that miracle. After your entrance the Marine and the Gunners started shooting everybody to create a distraction while the main gunner aimed its cannon at the massive promethium deposit.

Those orks were so soaked and their guts so full of fuel that some of them violently exploded when they were pierced by a laser blast. Chaos erupted in a second, something that they seemed to enjoy.

About twenty Stormboys ascended into the air, leaving a trail of sparks and toxic smog on their wake, they were ready to descend and impact. Their crude guns and swords were surely no match for the tank but in such large quantities they might be able to overpower the Astartes. At the same time most of the Orks started jumping into their vehicles.

>Order the Gunner to explode the Deposit with the Plasma Blaster.

>Roll: 30...FAILED.

"Go back!"

You screamed while looking outside.

"Nonono!"

Yelled the Main Gunner as the coils in his Plasma Blaster continued charging, they were already too late in the process to stop it.

The Tank went backwards and turned a little bit towards the left to avoid the suicide landing of a frenetic Stormboy.

Just as the Ork reached the ground and exploded into a shower of guts the Blaster released its charge, a great ball of blue light started flying without any objective in mind. On its wake it killed a couple of Orks but their masses weren't great enough to destabilize it and make the sphere explode.

Once it reached the upper ceiling it exploded, making a massive hole on the impact point and creating a small shipquake due to structural damage. Several plasteel walls fell down and crushed a couple of tanks but nothing else.

During those mere nanoseconds in which the sphere aimlessly advanced the Marine took his chance to shoot down as many orks as he could. Turning the air into a show of pyrotechnics and gore.

The Tank continued advancing backwards as best as it could. It was then when it crashed with something...or better said someone. Somehow the Tank became tilted frontwards, there was somebody on the rear who was lifting it and turning the strength and push of the treads moot.

The rest of the Gunners tried to aim at this unseen foe but their limited ranges couldn't reach into him. The front Gunner couldn't shoot its Plasma Blaster either because now that the Tank was Tilted it would have made it shoot at the floor and indirectly hit the Tank itself.
>>

From the outside two voices became clearly audible. One was the Ultramarine, the other was the Ork that was raising our Tank.

"WAAAGH! WHAT A NOICE TANK YOU HAVE GOTTEN IN THERE SPIKY GIT!"

"I am no Traitor, Ork! I am Domi-"

"I DON'T CARE HUMIE! I WANT YER TANK AND I EZ GUNNA GET IT! WAAAAGH!!!"

You pressed your head against one of the slits and looked outside. The Orks had stopped fighting and gathered to see the fight instead.

The Massive Ork that was holding the Tank was in a disadvantage, he couldn't fight as he was using both hands to raise the vehicle. Judging by the noise the Ultramarine proceeded to saw the Ork's face with his chainsaw while he at the same time used his Bolter to shoot at the weak points of his armor. From such close distance he could aim the sacred Bolter with only one hand and still be accurate.
>>
>>42800023

At first the Ork didn't seemed to mind having the diamantine tipped blades chewing his flesh and skull, for him this was just another battle scar to show off. Still after some time one of the saws seemed to have severed enough of his brain to kick in his atrophied self conservation instincts.

"ZOG YOU MARINE! HEY YOU ALL PANSY GITS! WHOEVER KILLS DIS PEST WILL GET MY KUSTOM SNAZZ GUN!"

In a second everybody seemed to be rushing towards the marine, there wasn't much time left.

>Make a quick adjustment at the fuel feeding system and overcharged it. Once it is done order the Driver to kick the accelerator. If this works the exhausts fire will burn the Orks and liberate the Tank.

You push people away and head into the guts of the StormBlade, after quickly opening the grill you reach the engine feeding tubes that are full of promethium. There is a red valve in whose handle is inscribed a warning in form of litany, this valve is usually turned to the left to cease the fuel feeding and be able to repair the engine or avoid an explosion in case the Tank catches fire, in this occasion you will turn it to the right instead, feeding even more fuel to the M507 V18 Multi Fuel engine and overcharging it to unseen levels.

"Omnissiah forgive me for not following your doctrines and overexceeding the Engine of this Sacred StormBlade, the Tank and I are your servants and it is why we ask you to forgive us for the sin we are about to commit. Salve Omnissiah. Praise be your Cog Anima. Holy are your doctrines, Holy are your teachings."

There was a small silence afterwards.

"Pilot, stomp the accelerator as much as you can. Show no mercy."

With a gulp he did as you ordered. Meanwhile outside the Ork continued heavily dragging the StormBlade while the Marine continued on top shooting at its incoming enemies and running short of ammunition as the seconds passed. It was then when two fiery columns formed and raised for several feet. They were formed by a blue fire in whose core burned a white flame and were surrounded by an aura of shiny green and yellow sparks.

This fire melted both hands of the Ork, turning his Power Klaw and Big Shoota into little more than slags of metals that could maybe work as clumsy hammers. The force and intensity of the fire was so big that its light was seen from even a mile away.
>>
>>42800619

Blinded and maimed the Ork stumbled until it fell backwards, he lied inert for some seconds until his eyes recovered from the damage, the first and last thing that he was able to see once his eyes healed were how the Ultramarine jumped and landed on his open mouth with the tip of his chainsword, decapitating him shortly after.

After that you returned to the valved and spun it into the correct level of fuel dosage. The interior of the Tank had become an oven of some short as the engines had radiated a lot of heat and most of it ended being captured in there. The smell of sweat soon filled the small and confined interior.

"Don't use the Plasma Blaster, we are way too hot. It's machine spirit wouldn't resist it."

"But look at the orks! They are all so disoriented!" Remarked the Captain.

It was true, the light had made most of them go blind in the same fashion as the other Ork. They were all stumbling against each other and throwing punches every time they tripped against another Ork.

Yeah. I'm not prepared to argue this point of contention any more, especially since the votes are tallied and it's utterly irrelevant at this stage.

It's not like any argument would sway his opinion since it's founded on the 'lel orks believe something it instantly happens no matter what cos psychic resonance'. Doesn't matter how utterly trashed we would leave the vehicles after detonating the entire place, orks would just fix it magically. Far more sensible to just kill every ork around, amirite? They only infest the hulk enough to go toe to toe with chaos in the warp.

You were really excited, your improvised solution had saved the Astartes and the Tank from such dire situation.

"As long as we have vehicular advantage we will have our victory assured! Drive towards their machine abominations and lets crush them all in the name of the Emperor and the Omnissiah!"

With another blue white flame the engines roared and pushed the vehicle towards its objective. The first vehicles that were destroyed were a couple of Bikes that became crushed under the StormBlade's tread wheels and turned into little more than twisted slags of bolted metal. After those came a Trukk, a Buggy and several other vehicles that perished under the salvos of heavy laser fire that in some occasions ignited their fuel deposits with explosive results.

Vehicle after vehicle they all ended being crushed under the might of humanity. The orks shortly after recovered their sight. Some of them started crying and yelling insults as they saw their precious and loved machines being obliterated while others became furious and tried to charge towards the Tank, only to die under its heavy weight.

Meanwhile the Marine killed the few lagging ones that stood behind either because they were too weak or simply because they didn't cared about the vehicles.

After about five minutes the few surviving orks noticed that they were sparse and separated and proceeded to run away, showing once again how cowards can they get. After that the Marine once again hopped in with a jump and aided with the help of his chainsword.
>>
>>42801375

Just as you were about to relax and consider the entire battle as another untold victory for the human race and the Imperium. You noticed a massive tremble followed by a series of distant explosions.

Using your wings you looked across a near glass and what you saw scarred you. The Orks had finally dared to fragment the Hulk into thousands of meteors that carried within them several hundreds of Ork Boyzs or Traitor Angels of Ecstasy.

The Craftworld wasn’t so far away and even some of its interior biosphere were becoming noticeable with a simple glance. It seemed that the interior was covered in snow and icy plains and that its inhabitants used white, red and lime green as their main colors.

“Uuuh…Sparky? We have a problem here.”

You quickly flew back feeling a weird sensation on your gut and having some trouble to fly correctly, it wasn’t until you returned to the combat ground that you noticed that since the Hulk had been fragmented it had lost its Gravity Well and that now all the bodies, debris and even the StormBlade were floating aimlessly. On top on it continued the Astartes, fixed to the metallic chassis thanks to his magnetic boots, you also had a similar equivalent and maybe together you two can make it land somewhere safe.

Well I am not really sure if a Flamer has enough expulsion of gases to impulse us. I mean, If I recall correctly the model of Rocket engines don't use combustion but explosions. Besides we only have two Flamers, one in one dendrite and the other attached to our chainsword.

Still, even if it is a 0G environment there is still air around. He can still use his wings, its just that he won't be as agile and efficient.

We had to rip the sleeves of our robe to make some straps to avoid bleeding out from our chest and stomach. The best we could do with those robes are a rad cape.

It's a Plasma Blaster, not a solid ammunition launcher. I don't think the weapon itself has much recoil. Making this somewhat impossible.

You flew across the many floating Ork corpses and a few surviving gretchins and boyz who were trying to stay upright without any success. With great pleasure you slashed them with your powersword as you quickly flew next to them. Not all of them died at the instant, it didn't mattered thought, they would all soon die from the crash.

Once you reached the upper part of the Tank you fixed yourself against the surface.

"Hold me tight."

You say to the Marine, he seems doubtful but then he firmly places his hands over your shoulders as you raise your feet and use your magnetic soles to reject you at first and then exchange the polarity and quickly send you towards the Tank with a great force.

This pneumatic impact as managed to push the Stormblade but it doesn't seems to be enough. Besides it has left a great stress and pain on both your shoulders and thighs.
>>
>>42802332

"Not a bad idea, if maybe a little bit way too complicated."

The Marine simply grabbed a frag grenade and threw it towards backwards, then curled and protected you with his massive frame. The resulting explosion was quick enough to send the Tank against the ground. Immediately and before it ricocheted he grabbed one of the wheels and then a column, maintaining the Tank steady and close to the floor.

"Worked back on the Cruiser, worked now."

You didn't understood it at first and then it struck you. The sudden vibration and descending of the Tank was caused because the Marine had exploded another grenade back then. The driver and the rest were surely in communication with the Astartes via private vox-link and they were following his instructions.

"45,5 GHz"

"Excuse me?"

"It's the private frequency we use. we didn't trusted you at first. You have survived on your own while surrounded by traitors, you could perfectly have been one of them. We trust you, for now."

You thanked him and went towards the back of the engines.

"We could magnetically attach the Tank's treads to the floor for better grip and stability. The energy strain would leave either the Plasma Blaster or the Laser Cannons inoperable thought."

"Will we able to use either weapon after landing?"

"As soon as they aren't destroyed yes, once I cease the magnetization the energy flow will return to both weapons."

"This is your campus, choose which one to disable."

>The Plasma Blaster, we have barely used this weapon after all.
>The Laser Cannons, they cannot be compared to the strenght of the Plasma.
>Leave both weapons operable but divert the energy from the lights, auspex and targeters. The people inside will be completely darkened and will have to drive and shoot by calculating the trajectories by themselves.
>Do not magnetize it, enter inside and start praying as much and louder as you can.
>Write in.

Turn them both off and be ready to divert power to one or the other as needed.
>>
>>42802352
>The Plasma Blaster, we have barely used this weapon after all.
It's versatility is too limited. We typically have many small targets than single large ones and even then the main turrent might not have sufficient field of view of a target what with the disintegration of the hulk and lack of grav field.
>>
>>42802398
This has to be done from the outside. It says that he does it from the back of the engine. We cannot change them at will so easily.

>>The Plasma Blaster, we have barely used this weapon after all.

Rolled 50 (1d100)

>>42802352
>The Laser Cannons, they cannot be compared to the strength of the Plasma.
Plasma cannons actually use magnets to fire, if I'm not mistaken.
>>
>>42802352
>Turn off the Plasma blaster.
We need the Las-Cannons more then anything else.
>>
>>42802448
So what if they use magnets?
>>
Rolled 1 (1d2)

So it's 50/50

>The Plasma Blaster, we have barely used this weapon after all.

>The Laser Cannons, they cannot be compared to the strength of the Plasma.

>Disable the Plasma Blaster, we have barely used this weapon after all.

"We better have the Plasma Blaster in reserve for when the time comes."

You mutter to yourself, the Astartes hears you thanks to his keen senses and nods in agreement.

"Even the best sword will end chipping and worming out if you use it against anything that crosses your path. Knowing moderation is as necessary as knowing how to fight after all."

You disconnect some power cables and direct them towards the wheels. This process is usually done when transporting or storing superheavy vehicles like this one and always as a safety measure, never as anything else. You are breaking many oaths and rules, it still continues feeling as wrong as the first time but still, it is what has made you continue alive so far.

With a loud hum and a small vibration the Treads stick to the floor, generating a great noise along the way. Everybody gets inside then. Once inside the silence reigns, only the sound of mechanically processed breathing and the soft murmur of several prayers fill the small and illuminated interior. Everybody is so scared of the landing that details like the strong sweat stench and anxiety that such small space forms ended relegated to a second plane and become pretty much forgotten.

Every time there is a rumble somebody looks outside, both hoping that it means that our drifting meteoroid has finally landed but at the same time wishing that our crash isn't happened yet.

It is then with the biggest rumble when we all know, without the need to look out that we have made contact with the Craftworld and we are only mere seconds away from impacting. Then, silence.

Thanks for writing Axsisel!
What's some of your favorite sci-fi movies that you've watched?
>>

>I heard they can be racist against spaniards
I think the spanish is probably somewhere at the very bottom of the list of people the british would be racist about.
Although Francis Drake totally set fire to your armada.

Well since this country is slowly turning into a shithole there is a great number of people who are either going to the UK or Germany. I'm not half bad with English and I even have a few cousins in there who are half brit so I might try to move to the islands to see if the work chances aren't so precarious in there.

Another possibility would be moving to France, idk.

Thanks to you anon!

Well, if you do, try and make sure you've secured something ahead of time. The UK is turning into a shithole too and job security can be a little precarious if your skillset isn't in high demand.

Every country I hear about is turning into a shithole it seems.

Dystopic Cyberpunk future here we go ;_;

Havent seen Ex Machina or Her.
I thought the trailer of Her was pretty depressing. It became funnier when I thought of how he'd sleep with the AI.

Just slapping his dick against the screen yelling "YES, SIRI, YES" at the top of his lungs.
>>
>>42803489
Ex Machina and Her are somewhat oposite yet have common grounds. In Ex Machina the main character interacts with an AI that has a female form and wants to become human; on Her the protagonist falls for an intelligent voice that is never given a form nor truly seen.

Its like the two sides of a coin.
>>
>>42803544
It just never makes sense to me why a machine would want to be a human. I'm a human, I would never want to be a machine.
Even if the flesh is weak.
>>
>>42803544
>>42803652
You have no idea how quickly I'd jump at becoming a machine, I fucking hate this body. But major issues running in your family/affecting you can cause that.
>>
>>42803652
Because people are ambitious and ambition sometimes makes us wish for unattainable things. There are thousands who have wished to be gods yet none have been able to do so.

If one day somebody manages to create a working AI that will be the closest thing to creating life that we will achieve, and thus become gods.

For the robots we might be gods, we have made them at our image, why wouldn't they have some of our ambition?

They want to be us like we want to be Gods.

Sorry for the rant, ultra sleepy by now.

Get some sleep, you got school in a couple hours.
Thanks for the thread axsisel.
