While Evangeline fumbles around with her feelings and trying to block you out of her mind, you look over the power armor that your laser nearly destroyed. The cockpit will be unable to close from the damage but otherwise the suit still works.

“Are you going to destroy the armor every time you use it?” Hestia asks you as her avatar flickers in and out of existence in the remains of the ruined HUD, “The scan of your attack has indicated that it is not a laser at all but rather it is more similar to the luminous drive fusion attack that you discovered while training with the power armor.”

“Is that why it bypasses the immunity to fire discovered from the dragon scales?” You ask her.

“I does appear that mana particle fusion does not create heat, but still interacts with the world similarly, I will research the matter more. You may be interested in the mobilization currently occurring; something big is taking place in the far west.”

Completed Research

>Enchantment resonance – Hestia has completed her study into linking sets of objects with enchantments to create a connection between them that further empowers the enchantments. Unfortunately the final result may be unexpected, but with the number of reactors you have it is possible to brute force the desired outcome.

>Neural scanning – While not true mind reading neural scanning allows the active thoughts and intentions of organic life to be easily gathered. Hestia has determined after a full scan of all life in the cities that no one is currently suspected of being an internal security member, like the one that caused the prison incident.

(1/3)
>>
(2/3)

>Biocomputers – Through careful genetic modification the researchers have developed brains that primarily focus on rapid computation, their overall ability is dwarfed by your advances into superluminal computation but the researchers have been able to graft the biocomputers into existing weapon parasites which has vastly improved their effectiveness. As a side project the researchers also modified the infestation parasite to launch tick like organisms that rapidly drain a target’s blood, use it as fuel to swell with acid and then burst.

>Complete study of goblins and their abilities – Hestia has determined that how most of the goblins’ abilities work are undecipherable by her sensors. The data regarding their ability to change size has been forwarded to the bio lab researchers and they are working on implanting the ability into other creatures.

>Cyber interface – An improved fusion of the cyber security suite and the data jack. The interface uses taychons to enable a real time connection. The security protections are significantly better than before as well.

Ongoing Research

Communal mind implants
Genetic memories research
Hellfire – Requires more knowledge of hell.

Research items that currently require your direct help

Divine abilities
Holy aura
Hellish abilities
Psychic abilities study
Optimal ai components

Important note

>Administration activity – A massive amount of armed forces have mobilized in the city above. The only rumors about the troop movement are that they are headed west.
>>

“It that army going to be a problem for us?” You ask Hestia.

“From all the data I can gather they appear to be headed west, there should be no attempts to intervene with our operation,” She tells you.

Evangeline has calmed down and is waiting to see if there is going to be more action.

Tslah still remains watching you from afar while the other demons slowly return to whatever it is they do inside the outpost.

After some thinking, I’m going to alter how your soul charge works, when you hit 1000 I’ll add *’s to the character sheet to spend later as per experience and star points. This way we won’t clutter the thread with a million votes mid plot should you decide to attack the fifth level of hell. The more *’s spent at a time will make for better gains.

Due to this change you get three free *’s right now for blowing up that insect army, enjoy.

Right and lewd stuff, I'm not particularly good or fast at writing it, but here it is the second link again for whoever wanted it.

hmm somthing must be happening on the western front, where Max is. Maybe they're getting invaded.

I'm not super worried about it, what with the city up there having the DIrector's and such to help them, though we could take advantage of the distraction to infiltrate the city more deeply.

This could be the void avatar making his move

>Repair the power armor and go deeper into hell
Would it be faster if we just downgraded it to medium armor?

What exactly can we use * for, it it just raw experience/ level up an ability?
>>
>>42718241
>Have the armor get repaired
>Have evangeline work with hestia to try to deliver a letter to Director Burgess asking about the recent activity - if there's a serious threat, we should probably help on some level.

going to be honest with you OP, I don't really read these, I'm not here for smut, though I know other anons enjoy it. Thanks for the hard work.
>>
>>42718299
I have a random list to pull upgrades from, you are very likely to see health, mana, stat points and experience boosts.

A few ranks in a ability is also probable.

New abilities are a bit more unlikely.

Ability upgrades and alterations are the most rare.

Damage, DR, and other such things increasing is also possible.

>>42718330
Is cool man, I don't even know why I write them I'm terrible at it.
>>
>>42718363
oh so it's like we can use the maxed out reaper ability three times to upgrade ourself?
>>
>>42718363
I, for one don't think their terrible, they are a good read. Thanks, your side work is appreciated!
>>
>>42718384
Yes, but you can also stack them up to use all at once for a much larger boost.

So let’s say spending one * gets you foo resistance 3, then spending 5 * could possibly give it to you maxed out from the start.
>>
>>42718421
can one * take an ability from level 9 to 10?
How much would it increase our stats if we dumped one into strength or something?

I'm leaning towards keeping them for now until we're done with combat in hell.

Also you forgot to add we have sonic resistance under our fighting power quick stats
>>
“Evangeline, there are reports of a large troop movement going on above, do you want to contact your father to see if it is a serious problem that we could help with?” You ask.

Evangeline laughs. She thinks that is funny, she eventually opens the cockpit to speak with you.

“No, that is a bad idea, I could ask about what is going on but if the problem is big enough to send troops out he is already mad enough,” Evangeline tells you, “he would want to fight whatever it is alone, so right now he is probably complaining about useless wastes of space being in his way.”

“Still, you can speak with Hestia about contacting him, she may be able to work something out.”

“Sure I’ll so that later, but now we are going to do more with the suits right?” She asks you. Evangeline really likes the power armor Hestia made, it is the best and most advanced model she has ever heard of.

“We should repair the units first, no reason to try to go deeper while this damaged.”

Evangeline nods in agreement and climbs out of the armor to allow Hestia to pilot them back for repairs. As the suits depart she wonders what there is to do here in this level of hell, she didn’t see any shops or an arena here.

“We can talk with Tslah while we wait,” you say.

“Gah! Stop reading my mind!” Evangeline says, “it’s not right to do that!”

“It is sort of passive now, I just pick up on whatever everyone is thinking.”

“Yea! You can’t just stop that, how is it our fault that everyone just leaves their mind open?” Ayla interjects and scoops up Evangeline into a princess carry, “There now no one can read your mind cause you’re too busy being embarrassed about master watching us.”

Evangeline blushes hard and struggles against Ayla’s grip, Ayla’s comment certainly did put some interesting thoughts into her head.

Ayla floats alongside you with an angry and embarrassed Evangeline in her arms as you go to see what Tslah wanted to speak with you about. Her mind is focused and clear, revealing nothing as she intercepts you when you reenter the outpost.

“Most impressive king of goblins, your power continues to be most formidable,” Tslah comments yet her mind remains clear.

“You must want something, you seem very focused,” you tell her.

“Think about something at least, this is weird,” Ayla says.

“My body has fully recovered thanks to your assistance, no longer do I suffer from the illness that has plagued me for my entire life,” Tslah starts to pitch something, “and so I desire to ask perhaps one more thing of you.”

“And that is?” You ask. Even Ayla and Evangeline have stopped squirming around to listen.

“You have proven yourself to be the strongest male, I want to have your children,” Tslah drops on you suddenly, no wonder she kept her mind clear, “I am queen of demons, you are king of goblins, marriage can unite our people as one and we can forge an invincible empire across all the hells.”

That is a rather large development, just how are you going to respond to this?

The political implications of her suggestion would cement your control over the demons within your domain, but on the other hand you don’t really even know her at all.

Ayla drops Evangeline to the ground in shock at Tslah’s sudden confession

“No way! Master is mine I get to marry him!” Ayla shouts out.

Evangeline stands up rubbing her backside, “it doesn’t really seem to be my problem, but you should think this through a bit better, you can’t just find someone strong and then marry them. At least fall in love first.” She is back to a full blush when she finishes, she desperately tries counting to block mind reading.

“I am fine with sharing,” Tslah responds, “is it not right for the strongest to take many mates?”

“Ooooh! Good idea, we can get the twins and Aurora too then,” Ayla instantly changes her mind and agrees.

Evangeline just opens and closes her mouth, her mind unable to process this right now.

All this talk of marriage has you thinking about your past.

You remember a man with black hair saying something to you, then picking you up out of bed and hiding you away in a closet.

A few moments later there is gunfire.

Then the hard clack of heels against the wood floor as someone walks towards the room you are hidden in.

Cursing and the sound of stuff being throw and scattered about.

The closet door is suddenly jerked open.

Your mother stands there covered in blood eyes crazed and mouth twisted into a facsimile of a smile. Her own flows from an open gunshot wound on her left arm.

“There there, mama isn’t going to let some asshole take you away,” She says and drops a knife to scoop you up. From over her shoulder you see the man’s body torn apart by the knife as your mother takes you away from the house.

Soon after your mother took you to a business and forced you to train, the training that formed the basis for being a secret agent later in your life. Any failures were met with her beating you and telling you that she doesn’t love you and wishes you would die already. And things only got worse from there on out.

You shake the memories off, you still don’t know if that man was your father or just someone worried about your mother’s deteriorating condition, any time you would ask about him got you tortured. Cigarette burns, flogging, simulated drowning, you’ve been through it all before you even were ten years old. Afterwards your mother would always tell you she loves you and that people with scars or other identifying marks are suspicious while she took you to receive medical attention.

Tears roll down Ayla’s face as she relives your past with you. She has never experienced something like this before. For a moment you consider wiping her memory of what just happened, it’s bad enough you have to live with it she shouldn’t have to.

“Uh, hello? Are you there?” Evangeline asks waving her hand in front of you face.

“I’m fine, take the power armor we are going to level three,” you say shakily, trying to recover.

“Was my suggestion that undesirable?” Tslah asks, she is confused by what just happened.

“It’s me, don’t worry about it, I need time to think,” you briskly brush her off.

You seal yourself back into the armor Hestia has brought back and carefully scoop up Ayla, and take off to find the point from which she can planar shit you.

“Hey wait up!” Evangeline scrambles back into her armor and gives chase.

“Would you like to talk about what happened just now?” Hestia’s avatar appears on your HUD.

“No, I want to kill something,” you tell her.

Evangeline tries her best to keep up with your speed, but only catches up when Ayla stops crying and indicates that you are in position to make the transition to level three.

“Sorry master, I think I understand why Evangeline says not to pry into other people’s minds now,” Ayla sniffles, “I’m ready to move us to the next place.”

“Why did you disable communications, what is going on?” Evangeline demands.

“Get close, Ayla is going to transport us now,” is all you tell her.

Ayla grabs the two armor suits tightly and channels the needed power to transport you both to the next level of hell.

Rather suddenly the scenery shifts, no longer are you in an empty barren wasteland. The armor splashes down into an endless stormy ocean. You pick up life below you, some of it very large, large enough to swallow even Evangeline’s heavy armor whole.

Ayla forces the water to form a bubble around her head so she can breathe, you never really thought about it before, but does she even need to breathe or is she just doing this to look cool.

“It looks cool? Plan, successful!” Ayla flashes you a V for victory.

“Are these suits even good for underwater combat?” Evangeline asks.

“They are fully functional in any conditions,” Hestia states through static, “the storm is slightly disrupting communications, avoiding the center of it is advised.”

The large things swimming below don’t seem like the lord, there are too many of them. Instead you rise back to the surface and fly around trying to find something.

>Double 58

There is a screeching howl and massive creatures swarm about a ship sailing the endless ocean. They switch between flying into to the storm above and diving under the water as they circle about the vessel.

Leaving Ayla behind to float on her own, you fly into the middle of the pack of demon creatures.

“What are you doing?” Evangeline asks.

“Just try to keep Ayla and the ship safe,” you tell her.

When one of the demons notices you it whips its spiked tail around to thrash you, it slams against your power armor’s force field breaking it instantly. In response you trigger the spell mechanism the suit has and draw the monofilament blade.

>53 vs dc 50

The rolling seas and thunderous skies are torn asunder by the sudden blast of intense wind. A vortex forms around your suit sucking in the demons and whipping them about in a chaotic circle. The clouds above are blasted away, and yet they still seem to go on endlessly. The ship is pulled into the whirlpool formed in the ocean from the spell’s wind. You hear a cackling laughter as the sails bellow in the wind you’ve created.

As the demons are forced to circle around you helplessly Evangeline fires her holographic blade launcher into them, slicing apart wings and tails. Alya also tries to help by lobbing a volley of mana arrows at the demons.

When your spell ends the crippled forms of the demons are thrown far away into the ocean. When you go to see if the creatures had soul orbs, a feeding frenzy starts. More aquatic demons breach the surface of the seas and tear the injured flying demons apart.

The ship continues to sail along uncaring about the giant waves or hungry demons.

It looks like a regular old sailing vessel at first glance, but you see that there are holes for oars and no cannon ports.

When you close on the ship you see that the crew is made up of undead creatures, skeletons and zombies shuffle around the deck hauling supplies or handling the ropes.

“Yo ho ho ho, yaarr a good shot fer a landlubber,” one of the skeletons calls out to you, “If yer be wishing to see the cap’an, then yarr must answer our questions three!”

“This is completely ridicules, why is there a ghost ship in hell asking passersby questions,” Evangeline comments over the comms.

“Master, you HAVE to answer, this is too cool to pass up,” Ayla says, “skeleton ghost pirates!”

“Cheetah has no spots on t' belly!” The crowd jeers at you.

“You didn’t specifiy the cheetah’s coat, the inside of the cheetah also has no spot,” you argue with them.

“Brin' up t' beast!” The skeleton yells.

A zombie drags a live cheetah up to the deck, and they butcher it and examine the insides.

“Well I'll be me mothers uncle, t' cheetah be having no spots on t' insides either,” the skeleton grumbles.

“But ye still got t' last one wrong, sailin' on this ship be t' most radical thin' ya've done. Now go and meet t' captain in his quarters.”

The undead crew part and allow you to walk to the captain’s quarters. Opening the door you see a skeleton sitting at a table checking over some charts.

“Oh thank god, you have to help me!” The skeleton cries out when it notices you.

“What? Why?” You ask the captain.

“Anyone who dies at sea apparently has a chance to get drafted to these sorts of vessels; you can never pass on until the ship’s goal is completed,” the captain complains to you, “I have been stuck as captain of this pirate ship for thirty years, sailing the endless ocean forever.”

“Well what is it that you have to do?”

“Sail under clear skies, but it is always a damn storm!” The captain shouts, “some sort of creature is generating the storm but if we get close other things attack us.”

“Everyone is already dead does that really matter?”

“Even if the ship gets sunk, a few hours later we pop back up to sail again, we can’t ever die.”

“You’ve been sailing for a long time, do your charts show where the lord is?”

“The what?”

“This is hell, in your time here you must have encountered the lord.”

“Of course this is hell, what else would make you sail forever as a damn skeleton.”

“You have no idea what is going on do you?” You ask the skeleton captain.

“Have you seen those guys outside, I gave up long ago and just stay in here.”

“Well I’ll try to help you then, I may be able to clear the skies.”

“Here you can have this thing that I found drifting in the ocean as payment,” The skeleton digs around in a chest, he pulls out a bow and gives it to you, “I could never figure out how to use it.”

>Mysterious bow acquired, it constantly is changing color and material.

“Good luck trying, but I will not be holding my breath, I’ve been trapped for much too long,” the captain says as you leave.

How are you going to help them get their freedom from sailing? This stop does seem similar to how the second lord was causing the winds before you ate him.

Returning to the deck to enter your power armor, you ignore the jeers of the pirate skeletons.

You ignore them and climb back up into your armor.

“So, do you at least learn something useful?” Evangeline asks, she is a bit bored waiting around for pirates.

“The ship is cursed to sail forever, and they don’t know anything that can help us,” you tell her.

“How can pirate skeleton ghost crews be that useless?” Ayla asks, she is a bit let down.

“They can be free of the curse if they sail under clear skies, so let’s fly upwards to see what sort of storm we are dealing with.”

“Sensors indicate the storm is limitless,” Hestia’s avatar appears on your HUD, “the ocean also appears to have no bottom.”

“Let’s just try anyways, we may learn something.”

Flying straight up into the clouds you find that the storm does in fact never end, there is streaks of lightning all around you as you continue to climb ever higher.

Several minutes into your flight so sense a massive life source, and the storm continues to grow stronger.

The lightning scatters around you constantly, one flash illuminates a huge form closing on your position.

A giant bird emerges from the storm clouds, lighting crackles about it as it flies in circles around you. It squawks at you angrily.

"That thing is huge!" Evangeline says, she also thinks its pretty.

“Uh, master I think it wants us to leave,” Ayla says.

You can feel the beast’s anger at you intruding into its stormy home, but it doesn’t seem to be smart enough to actually communicate with.

Your armor's sensors still indicate the storm continues above without breaking.

They're different, but pretty similar in premise. The idea behind both is to get it to help us deal with the hell lord, I think.

You are stumped on how to respond to this giant bird for a moment, you could kill it and try to take its soul before it falls into the ocean, no too risky. Instead you reach out with your mind and try to implant the thoughts of friendship and happiness into the bird.

>13+11+10=34 +? VS unknown DC pass

The bird shoots lightning out of its mouth trying to kill you all, but the suits and Ayla are all immune to electricity so it can’t harm you at all. You push this fact into its mind to build up the idea of friendship into it. Eventually it buys into it and stops trying to kill you, so you try to do something new. You activate a power you’ve been saving and try to bind the bird to you. You push the birds mind to think that it’s a good idea, so it naturally accepts.

>Thunderbird gained as familiar

“Friend? Master? Friend?” A newly formed mind thinks, it seems a bit confused at its sudden sapience.

Ayla floats off your power armor and hugs the thunder bird around its neck, “Master you just got a giant bird!”

“Wait Ayla, it was just attacking us,” Evangeline is alarmed that Ayla just ran off to hug the bird

“It is now on our side don’t worry,” You tell her.

“Have you seen a big strong demon before?” You think across the familiar bond, trying to get information about the lord.

“Big? Strong? Demon? No hunt? In water,” the thunderbird is still having trouble adjusting to language.

“Yup, a demon too big for you to hunt!” Ayla cheers the bird on.

“Middle strong storm. Big no hunt demon,” the thunderbird tries to explain to you.

“Can you show us the way to the storms origin?” You ask your familiar.

“Show middle storm? Yes,” The bird alters course and flies towards to center of the storm, Ayla holds on tight and is having loads of fun riding the thunderbird through the storm.

“Is that even safe?” Evangeline asks, she is jealous right now, the bird is so pretty she wants to pet it.

“Ayla is immune to lightning so it should be fine,” you tell her.

As you travel closer to the middle of the storm there is a sudden increase in lightning. One of the bolts suddenly strikes right at Evangeline.

>40

Evangeline suddenly jerks her power armor and a bolt of lightning strikes through where she just was, the lighting leaves behind a trail of hellfire.

“What was that?” She asks.

More hellfire lightning strikes streak through the air, thanks to your skill in piloting both you and Evangeline twist and turn around the bolts avoiding them without being hit.

Ayla doesn’t even notice, as she is too busy enjoying the thunderbird’s evasive maneuvers as it spirals and dives through unharmed as well.

“It appears that this area of hell is reacting to your presence,” Hestia’s avatar flickers in and out, “I would suggest avoiding being pulled under the ocean from now on.”

Once things calm down a bit you make better time and locate the storm’s origin. A massive waterspout rises from the ocean funneling water upwards at incredible speed. You can sense a single point of life deep below the middle of the waterspout.

“Stay back, I’m going to try to counter to waterspout’s flow,” You tell everyone.

“That spell again?” Evangeline asks worried about the thunderbird, “We won’t get hurt right?”

“Spell?” The bird asks.

“Whaaaaaaat?” Ayla is astounded, “How can you not know magic you have lots of mana.”

“Evangeline your suit’s sensors should be able to read a safe distance, help them stay back,” you tell her.

“Ok I’ll open fire if anything tries to attack as well.”

You fly your suit towards the waterspout, the shields that have been recharged are torn asunder by the current as you plunge in.

>53 vs dc 50

Changing your direction to flow with the water you manage to maintain the armor’s integrity. Once dead center you unleash the tornado spell configured to oppose the waterspouts spin.

A bubble of air forms around the suit and wind picks up, soon the water spout is torn in half. The water stops flowing upwards and falls back down into the ocean causing a massive disturbance.

The life sign rises up to the surface.

A massive swell of water heralds the lords arrival, the creature is truly gargantuan in size. It would easily be able to swallow something the size of the entire swarm of aquatic demons from before. Evangeline’s suit is smaller than one of its teeth.

Massive sickly green orbs dot its head. It blasts a torrent of water out of its mouth at you trying to force you down into the ocean. But you are able to move out of the rushing water before it’s too late. This creature either is shielding its mind or doesn’t have one, you sense nothing from it. Ayla directs the thunderbird to fly higher to try and avoid any future blasts of water.

“How are we going to fight something this huge?” Evangeline asks, she is thinking about attacking the eyes, those orbs are eyes right?

Evangeline opens fire, missiles scatter about blasting the lord and her holographic blades slice into the creature’s flesh. It doesn’t even seem to notice or care, the attacks overall do nothing to it. She tries aiming for the orbs, but the creature easily avoids the attack.

“I can’t even hurt it!” Evangeline calls over the comms, “it dodged when I tried to shoot the eyes, they could be more sensitive!”

Ayla and the thunderbird swoop down next, a blast of magma hurls towards the lord. It burns through flesh but the lord still doesn’t notice. The thunderbird builds up a charge of mana and unleashes a blast of lighting breath. The lighting crackles and dances over the surface of the water, the blast pops several of the orbs on the lords head.

The lord unleashes smaller jets of water at the thunderbird who darts and weaves through the air avoiding them. With the lord distracted you think you can pull off a clear shot.

>48

You’ve never tried to focus mana outside yourself this far before, but you pull on the mana around you and add your own in to craft a giant orb of pure destruction. It is significantly harder to control than you expected, so you barely manage to lob it towards the lord before it slips from your grasp.

The lord twists back around to see what you are doing just in time to catch the orb right with its head.

The creature isn’t too deep so you swoop down closer to the surface and grab at the demon lord with your mind. Even against your telekinesis it feels slippery and tries to thrash loose, it starts rippling and its body starts to change. You strain and pull as hard as you possibly can.

>double 49 bonus

Against all odds, the lord is slowly but surely lifted free from the ocean. Unfortunately your telekinesis was too weak and slow to lift it up fast enough to attack it before its transformation finishes. Where was once the remnants of its exploded head is now a maw of teeth, open and thrashing trying to find something to consume. Its lower half, splits into tentacles which wave about in the air trying to smash anything they can.

Evangeline focuses fire at the base of the tentacles trying to sever them, while Ayla and the thunderbird fly around trying to avoid being caught while blasting the massive creature with more lightning and magma.

You break your way into some sort of fluid sack between the creature’s organs. Swimming away from the wall of flesh you find yourself inside an ecosystem inside the demon lord. Fish like demons swim about chasing and eating each other. In the distance you see a large demon get speared by something, then pulled towards a fleshy wall, a mouth opens and consumes the captured demon. Things that are too big get eaten by the lord, you estimate that your power armor is about the size of the demon that just got eaten, so you’ll need to stay clear of those mouths.

The sense of life is too intense to locate anything important, strangely enough you don’t feel the rhythmic pulse of a heart either. Looking around briefly you find a swarm of beetle like demons covering something, a large sack that glows orange slightly and feels like more life, and the glint of something metallic.

Your suit stays far from the walls and you look at the lightly glowing orange sack more closely. You are now positive that it contains more life, it doesn’t appear to be an organ for digesting things. Which means it must be the lord’s eggs? You can’t tell for sure from the outside, but the walls are much thinner here so you could probably blow it up fairly easily with the rocket launcher.

Even though all the other attacks have no been very effective so far the lord should at least feel it if you attack this.

Meanwhile outside, Evangeline has switched weapons yet again, she flutters about just inside the range of the tentacles to keep the demon’s attention while shooting. She is starting to get frustrated that nothing seems to be working.

Ayla keeps blasting the lord with magic, she is now directing the thunderbird to focus their attacks on a single point, repeated dive bombing is slowly tearing open a large hole, but they too can’t seem to do significant damage.

If hitting this sack does cause the demon pain you could be putting your allies outside in danger of facing an enraged demon lord.

You back away from the orange sack and float over to the metallic glint that you spotted before.

Partially embedded into the side of the fleshy wall protecting some organ you find what looks to be the side of an old cargo ship. It looks to be an old American vessel, but any identifying markings have long been worn away. A hole further down the vessel shows that whatever the cargo was it has been plundered, leaving behind only questions of why and how did it get here.

Outside Evangeline is about ready to give up, nothing is working what is she supposed to do shoot it until it is cut in half?

“How are you doing inside this thing, out here there is no progress,” She contacts you over the comms.

“I’m working on finding a solution, just keep it busy,” you tell her.

The thunderbird and Ayla are surprised, their latest attack him something different. A mass of smaller demons swarm out of the hole they have been making. They blast them with magic and lighting to try and clear their hole back open again.

Your senses tingle for a moment; you thought you felt a soul orb.

There it is again. Just a brief flash, you look around trying to pinpoint it.

The beetles are swarming about and when a small gap appears, there it is again, coming from the direction of the beetles.

You are positive that the beetles are being draw to the soul orb because of the power that leaks out from it.

>44

Floating over towards the beetles you draw the rocket launcher again then you take aim and fire. The demons that don’t die are scattered by the blast and you feel the unmistakable sensation of a soul orb.
Ayla guides the thunderbird up and away from the demon lord as it begins thrashing. They fly high enough away that the demon can’t reach them. Evangeline isn’t so lucky, the enraged demon catches her with its wild thrashing, the shield breaks and the armor is damaged, but she manages to slip farther away before anything serious happens.

“I hope you just did something, we can’t cake much more out here I was hit,” Evangeline tells you.

“I found its soul, this fight is as good as over,” you say.

“Hunt souls?” the thunderbird asks.

“Master can eat them,” Ayla explains to it.

The soul orb is still partially buried inside a fleshy mass, and you sense a large swarm of demons starting to swim towards you. There isn’t going to be much time to grab the orb and get away, and once you take it, the lord’s body is going to die and start sinking. You don’t know how much pressure these suits can handle but if the ocean really is endless you’ll be crushed eventually if you can’t escape.

You open the cockpit, the lord’s fluid floods inside. You swim quickly to where the orb is while simultaneously using telekinesis to break it the rest of the way free. The orbs power no longer fuels the body around you and you sense the feeling of life being to quickly fade. You grab the orb and consume it, the large milky white orb distorts as you drawn it into your body.

>New abilities
Weather control: Rank 5
You have gained the ability to create and control weather patterns. You can control the weather within a number of miles equal to five times your rank in this ability. The types of weather you can create are limited to standard earth like conditions. Higher ranks in this ability may have additional effects.

Water ki: Rank 8
By consuming the third lord of hell your energy has become linked to the water. This ability retypes all spells to inflict water damage in addition to their standard effects. This ability allows for you to have masterful control over water. You can freely create water. Higher ranks in this ability may have additional effects.

>Ability modification
Hellfire immunity: Rank 3
You have developed complete immunity to hellfire’s damaging effects

You let the power from the soul orb settle inside you and draw your mana into a laser. You try firing it from your hand just to see what it’s like. The water vaporizes around you as the laser cuts a hole through the lord’s corpse. You hold it for a second or two until you feel the demons being to get closer to you. You swim towards the power armor and pull it towards yourself with telekinesis.

(1/2)
>>
>>42729968
Any gene slice would probably count as an implant anyway.
>>
(2/2)

Once inside you seal the cockpit and begin to flee from the sinking body. The hole from the laser provides a clear exit, allowing your escape before you fall too low into the depths. By the time you surface the armor has completed draining the cockpit.

“Master!” Ayla and the thunderbird call out to you when you breach the surface of the water, they swoop down to greet you.

“You killed it from the inside then?” Evangeline asks you, she is very relieved to see you safe, no! That the thing is dead.

“Yes it is dead, now we need to get to work building a portal for Hestia,” you say and open the cockpit once again.

A bolt of lightning strikes your hand when the cockpit is fully open. There is a slight tingling, you look down to see that you are now holding another deed to hell. Eventually you’ll need to do something with all these things.
