You could not use the button, nor did it show more than that. Upon further inspection, you found that your servant creation pane had also been scrubbed from the system. This new induct button must have something to do about it, but you had stored away that thought for a later time, for you found that your treasury’s interface had also changed slightly. First, a number of the mundane items are now being counted in the treasury gold total. Second, there are is a new item revealed that you hadn’t been aware of before. A Chest, capital C. It’s an item from YGGDRASSIL bought with real money.

And that’s where you are today. The chest has two options. First, you may select a boon from a number of lesser options, you can roll the dice and let the chest generate a random reward. The chest has no monetary value, so you have decided to use this now, to help you venture into this new world.

Within is a pile of gold coins too high to be contained within it! After a period of work you and Soren manage to get the coins out. It’d take hours to count all of this gold, but luckily you have a tool to do so for you! Returning to the throne room, you pull up the treasury screen.

You order Karis to keep the Guild Hall in order while you, Soren, and Resik make an expedition to find some mineral veins. Primarily it will be Resik prospecting for a few hours while you and Soren protect him from dangers of the cavern and… of the liquid variety.

First, however, you three decide to map out a few tunnels that make their way to the surface. It pays to plan and have a proper map. Resik knows most locations in the area, but he never made a proper map. You decide to have them mapped out roughly to distribute among your minions. You don’t trust all of your servants to have the same sterling sense of direction as Resik. You manage to get a few of the tunnels mapped out, but find that a fair number of them have caved in or have been otherwise blocked.

On your way back to begin surveying deeper within the mountain, something happens!

Thinking quickly, you pull the mana from within yourself to produce two familiar spells. First you summon a simple shield upon Resik. He needs the defense as he isn’t suited for combat, despite his hardy demeanor. The shield settles over him and he nods at you.

Quickly drawing another batch forward, you bring forth the simple summoning spell Summon Angel I. It goes off well enough, the cherub popping into existence, shooting an arrow off even as it pops into existence. You punctuate your spells by flying up a few feet to get out the reach of the little buggers. A few arrows fly up after you, but your natural agility lets you dodge them without issue.

Soren draws up under you, his shield raising as he yells. “STAT BOOST. SHIELD GUARDIAN.” He begins to emit the intense pressure that you had felt last fight. Resik draw close to Soren, clubbing a kobold who got too close. He focuses on evading attacks and clearing out any kobolds who come near Soren’s blind spot. When he takes a shallow cut from a kobold blade, you notice Soren spin around supernaturally fast and strike down the kobold.

Combat rages on!
