>Summary:
You are techpriest Heracor Nahive. You were forcefully implanted a brain chip that made you into little more than a working drone; nullified your emotions and willpower. One day for unknown reasons the chip stopped working and you were returned to your former self. You felt the need of vengeance, right now you are travelling the Galaxy trying to become stronger to return one day and fight the ones that enslaved your mind.

>Main Mission:
- Become stronger and fight the Magus that installed the chip on your brain.
>>Secondary Missions:
- Win the race, reunite with your family.
>>Optional Missions:
- Win the three races. [[ 1 OF 3 WON ]]

>CURRENT LOCATION:
SEGMENTUS OBSCURUS // TRAVELLING THE WARP // INSIDE AN SPACE HULK // EXPLORATOR CRUISER
>>
Right behind you the two heavily armoured and armed Noise Marines followed you. Their augmented vox-casters spouted insults and screams that made all the walls reverberate and even caused some pipes to burst and unleash their content. Each word they regurgitated felt as a burning drill inserting in your eardrums and advancing directly into your cortex. The speedometer of your bike suddenly became wet with some crimson drops; blood started to pour from your ears, nose and mouth.

Incredibly mutated and perfectly augmented muscles let the Chaos Space Marines follow you closely. The exhaust of your bike left behind a trail of toxic smog that would have blinded and asphyxiated anybody but those were not ordinary men; their immune systems were designed by the brightest minds of mankind and their daemonic lifestyles and their many addictions didn’t only nullified the venomous properties of your smoke but also seemed to empower them.

The furthest you went the more excited and ecstatic they seemed to be. The two pursuing Marines even started to crash against each other and threw insults. Their great frames made them pluck and rip of the walls and floors of whenever they ran. With their sole presence they were desecrating and destroying the Explorator Cruiser.

ROLL1d100
> Try to continue running. Their rage and excitation is increasing as time passes, they might reach a critical point were they lose their minds and start fighting at each other.
> Use the bike’s nitrous boost to try to leave them behind, drive around and shoot them from behind.
>Use the bike’s nitrous boost and close yourself in the control room. Weld the door and try to use the door controls to seal them on some room. This might delay them for a while; at best they won’t be able to open the doors never again and will die of hunger or the withdrawal once their drugs run dry.

As you press the red blinking light of the Nitro a Marine manages to reach the back of your bike with his claw, a monstrosity made from the fusion of adamantium and his own flesh and sinew. A blue jetlike flame flew from the exhaust of the backs and managed to expel the traitor marine with his force.

Still, the damage was done, the claw had made its way into the metal, tearing a small part of it. Luckily for you he only crippled the outer shell of the bike, there was no damage done to the back tire and ultimately you became able to make a notorious distance between you two.

They had damaged you, this deserved a payback. You continued straight until they were out of the visual reach; after a quick analysis of the damages Promethia had received you started driving again in an attempt to catch them from behind and shoot them before they can react.

>Attack right now! The sooner the better! For the Omnissiah!!

>Head into the Control room and try to make the Rak'Gol and the Marines fight together. Hell, you could rejoin the skirmish once they are weakened and kill them all at once.

There were two Hereteks, two Corrupted Marines and three Rak'Gols roaming around this sacred ship. Those vile xenos were surely strong enough to finish off the Hereteks but honestly you doubted that they would be able to kill the Marin es. That couple of Angels of Ecstasy would be almost unbeatable, like a tumor that cannot be erased no matter how much you blast it with chemotherapy.

Driving with haste you managed to reach in a room that was becoming familiar for all the time you had spent. With a kick you closed the door and pressing yourself against the door you used your flamer dendrites to weld it as best as you could.

There was no time to waste, you simple chosen a particular area that was pretty much at the same distance for the two groups and placed a visual and sonorous alarm on there. A siren blasted shortly after, as if they were insects they came towards the noise. It was only a matter of time until the fight between them erupted.

You checked the cameras and looked around trying to search them to keep up with their movements. The two Corrupted Astartes and the trio of Aliens were running towards your trap...there was no sign of the other two Hereteks, whatever they were up to was surely diabolical at least.

As the combat started and the first blows started to land on their bodies the welded door started to shake violently. Something was trying to open it, to expose you to the dangers.

>Continue observing the fight and the positions of the enemies. Stay inside as longer as you can.
>Abandon your bike and try to escape the room using a vent or prying open one of the ferric wall tiles and heading in the narrow space between walls.
>Turn off all the lights and unweld the door, try to escape on the darkness using your somewhat damaged night vision.

>Ready our plasma gun towards the door for the first enemy. Prepare the chainsword for the next.

For the Emperor's sake. You are a goddamm Skitarii. All this time you have been acting as if you were a mighty warrior but trying to avoid direct combat as much as you could. For all you knew you were already dead, you better go to the other side with a glorious death.

The shaking on the door becomes more noticeable. The hydraulics are trying to open the door harder and harder but it still manages to continue sealed. Your weld was good and steady and unless they used brute force they wouldn't be able to open the door.

Luckily for you this made them leave the door's panel and try to open it by using a plasma torch and a power weapon to quickly cut the metal. It will only last for a few more seconds.

You jumped from the chair and placed yourself in front of the soon to be breached door. With some tables and furniture you managed to create a small barricade and a support point to place the cannon. You unconnected several power cables from the computers and decided to go big. With those cables you would be able to overcharge the the plasma cannon by connecting Promethia's battery to it. Whatever lied on the other side, be it a Heretek, an Alien or a tainted Demigod would be completely obliterated by the blast.

Your right bionic hand held the trigger of the cannon, the other was resting on the handle of your chainsword, just in case. Sweat fell from your pores, your vision was blurry and tunnel like, a small headache formed on the back side of your brain...

Your weak and shaky hands fail you. The plasma blast is deviated by several degrees and ended blasting part of the door and the wall next to it. Such a massive hole will be the perfect breach to enter from.

Shortly after the two Hereteks made their appearance, one of them was the one that was on the Rogue Trader ship and was covered in chains and spikes. His old robes had disappeared almost completely, the few expression that you could notice from his obscure face was one that could only be described as pure and absolute despair.

The other one was smaller and had a strange inhuman frame on himself, he was completely covered by a patched up robe that was filled with jewels and golden accessories that depicted symbols or strange figures and were sparsely divided.

"YOU! YOU KILLED MY LOVE!!!!"

It seemed that he had been able to find the deceased body of the daemonhost he used as a companion and still somehow escape the doom the ship was heading into. He didn't doubted for a second and jumped towards your direction, his chains and blades creating a cacophony of noise, sparks and blood as he flew in the air.

You jumped back and readied your chainsword. You would saw every one of his chains if that meant reaching his heart and chopping it.

>Jump and slash him. Counter his attacks as best as you can.
>Retreat and use your arc gun to shoot the plasma cannon and possibly kill both at the same time.
>Jump back to your bike and accelerate while pressing the brake, the power surge might be able to make the plasma cannon shoot remotely and kill the hooded Heretek. This will disable both the gun and the bike but not destroy them.

His movements were powerful but clunky. He was a slave of his emotions and own flesh limitations, his sadness and gaunt frame made him attack you directly without ever analyzing or thinking. He had truly abandoned the true path of the Omnissiah.

It doesn't takes you long to land a punch on his heavily armoured face. It doesn't manages to damage him but its enough to stunt him momentarily and give you a chance to slash him diagonally.

The chains protected his jugular and instead of a stream of blood only a shower of sparks rained. During the next entire minute you were able to saw him several times but in all occasions your chain blades were unable to cut flesh.

He even seemed to enjoy your frustration and laughed hysterically. The other heretek, the robed one, completely disappeared. Angered you retreated back and dashed in his direction, the chain covered Heretek didn't even tried to move away or act in retaliation. You jumped and placed yourself horizontally with your feet pointed towards, just when there were a few inches separating your soles from his chain covered body you used your mental link to issue an order to the magnetic soles and attract yourself towards him.

As soon as you made contact you reversed the magnetic poles and sent him flying away. His armor became his death trap. While he was airbone his bladed chains started spinning and snaring him from the magnetic resonance, as he flew backwards he left behind a great trail of red thick blood. He was surely dead before reaching the ground but the time it violently impacted the floor he exploded into a gory mess. His chains rested on the floor as an amorphous mass.

>Try to find the other Heretek

You equipped the Phospex Pistol on your free hand and started roaming the area in the search of the other enemy. Your instinct told you that even the smallest foe could posse the biggest threat. Frantically you searched for the oddly shaped and robed Heretek but there was no sign of it... Until you noticed a trail of saliva falling from the ceiling and landing on your left shoulder.

Looking upwards you saw a being formed by several bodies, it was made from at least seven different persons but at the same time it looked as if none of them was the one in full control, for example, he had two heads placed together and each had one side of their faces bitten and ripped off, surely as an act from the other head.

It looked as if it hated itself and tried to end its own life more than once, maybe there were just several souls all cramped inside that body trying to fight for the control of it. Whatever was in control now had completely dominated the others and had a near perfect possession over its limbs. With a scream that the other heads repeated and turned into an echoing madness it stopped hanging and dropped his heavy weight under you.
>>
>>42440770

You raised your chainsword and Phospex Pistol but but several hands and feet violently pushed them away as it landed. With its myriad of limbs it overpowered and threw you to the ground, a second later it was biting, punching and kicking you with erratic and dissonant movements.

Luckily for you only a small fraction of those hits landed on your torso, one of the few non-bionic parts of your body and thus the most unprotected one. Still your fragmented yet somewhat usable power armor managed to protect you from them to some degree.

>Grab it back and use your warpsteel mask to show it what a real nightmare looks like. If your theory of it being created by several souls its true then the nightmare it will see will be amplified.

"FEAR ME, FOR I AM A MIRROR OF YOUR TRUE SELF!"

With a quick and agile movement the mask placed over your fractured helmet and created a skeletal gaze that returned a clear non distorted image that didn't truly reflected our universe but a glimpse of the Inmaterium. That foul man-creature was now able to see its own corrupted and rotten soul. Since there were several bodies inhabiting that body they surely didn't saw their only soul, but also the other ones that were clustered on that amalgam of bodies.

All the faces looked at the same time and shrieked in a horror that you had never seen before. In an instant all its hair follicles became as white as the snow, their pupils dilated until their broke and completely covered the entire eyeball, surely blinding it, shortly after that came the blood crying and the lamentations and profound apologies to the Emperor that came in several different voices and tones.
>>
>>42441363

On your ears a small voice formed and urged you to kill it now. Your conscience and you once more agreed and you unsheathed your powerblade. It's glowing electrical aura illuminated its face even more, revealing its shock and making it look even more traumatizing. Without a doubt you swung it and bisected the entire creature. To your surprise it continued alive, its several hearts made it survive to some degree. The following minute you proceeded to slash and stomp it until it became as gory as its now deceased companion.

Great pools of blood, drugs and other fluids tainted now the walls of that room. The cogitators seemed to be broken but not completely unusable, you didn't knew what caused it but seemed to be a collateral damage from the combat. The two lied now on the ground, maybe their sole presence might be able to corrupt this ship. You better incinerate them and all the bodies you find around to not offend the Ship's Machine Spirit with those cadavers.

>Rest on the room for a while and use your Flamer dendrites to burn them. This could go out of control and completely destroy the cogitators.
>Grab the rests of those bodies as best as you can and use the bike to head into the waste incinerator of the ship. This will safely purify it but you aren't sure if you are alone on the ship, you might find some nasty enemies lurking those corridors.

Is there any way we can check on the status of the marines?
>>

Sorry, when I said that the cogitators are broken I meant that we cannot access the cameras. My fault If I didn't explained myself properly.

>Grab the rests of those bodies as best as you can and use the bike to head into the waste incinerator of the ship. This will safely purify it but you aren't sure if you are alone on the ship, you might find some nasty enemies lurking those corridors.

You go first towards the Heretek that was once covered in chains and searched through them trying to see in what kind of shape his rests are. Luckily for you it hasn't been completely chopped in several pieces, the blades on his chains were designed to cut and rip skin. His body, with the exception of his right leg, is in one piece, only almost completely devoid of skin and muscle. The rest of his flesh is scattered around but it hasn't reached a very far area.

The other one is divided in several pieces, since more than one mind inhabited that body killing it once wasn't enough, you had to kill them all. Honestly, if somebody else looked at the gory mess that you had done and saw all the body parts and how different they were and looked it would logically think that this was some kind of multiple assassination...

You tried to find a way of pack them up without directly having contact. Some kind of sack or container would be perfect. After searching for a while without result you even thought about ragging your already damaged robes and repurposing it as a bag to carry all the bodies. Luckily for you at the end you managed to find an empty plasteel box that while bulky, would be perfect for your mission.

It took you longer than expected, you didn't wanted to touch those bodies directly and you had to transport them using two large metallic rulers that you had found around, turning the entire process into something slow, unnefficient and even somewhat ridicule.
>>
>>42441883

When it was over you placed it on the somewhat broken back of the ship and once again seated yourself in to drive away. In this occasion towards the massive waste incinerator and posterior chute.

Those rests wouldn't only suffer a hellish demise by the incinerator but would also be launched into the void, and at some point leave the Geller Field and enter inside the warp, the true hell.

You didn't truly comprehended the nature of the Warp but you knew that in such place 1+1 could perfectly mean 3. You hoped that those rests returned to life and suffered for eternity on the impossible landscapes of the Empyrean.

It didn't took you long to do so. The ship was in a peaceful silence, there weren't any creepy footsteps, breathing or distant gunshots. Hopefully, you were alone now. You couldn't be able to make a full use of the machines and facilities that the Cruiser hosted due to the lack of manpower and knowledge but still you were the only and sole acceptable presence on its interior.

With a proud nod you looked at the rests be burned until they were little more than charred bones and how by looking across a window you were able to perceive those same bones flying by until they got lost. You rested with a sigh and then noticed something reflected on the same window you were looking at.

You turned around and saw a monstrosity formed by what once was an Astartes and a Rak'Gol. It had the lower body of the xenos and the upper chest of the Marine, still clad in power armor and now wearing a jump pack with a couple of bat wing like flaps that let him steer in the air.

Such fusion was impossible and apparently he had gotten that equipment out of nowhere, surely there were some daemonic origin on all that... Proof of that was that the meeting point was apparently fused instead of stiched together, besides nobody, not even the most skilled chirurgeons of the Imperium could remove their lower part and inject themselves on another body, less it be an alien organism.

This aberrant centaur like abomination tapped the floor with his heavy feet before addressing you.

"So so! You are the one who has invited us to your house and now wants to kick us out!?"

He punched one of the thick walls, bending it severely.

"Don't you learn manners on your forges? If you open a door everybody should be able to cross it. And this one was fully opened!"

The Jump Pack of his back illuminated and the turbines of his back howled with the sound of thousand tortured souls. To your surprise he didn't jumped but instead used the pack to give him a boost into his dash.

Advancing like a bullet it started running towards your direction with his claws spewing electrical arcs and foam going out of his vox-grill.

"Promethia, you were born from mud and junk. You were going to be a temporal tool but on this short amount of time you have became way more. You have taught me what the way of the Omnissiah is. You had potential but were the mechanical augmentation the ones that let you truly become what you are today. Same happens with humans, same happened to me. You were one of those mechanical reminders of how great machines are and how great can they make us..."

As you pressed the accelerator and felt the push of the engine you started to thought to yourself

+Still...you are not a sanctioned machine. This sacrifice will be the greatest destiny you could suffer...Omnissiah Vult!+

You drove faster and faster towards the hybrid while he did the same with his Jumpack. The collision would be a matter of seconds. Just as you were about to crash you got on top of your bike and used your wings to fly upwards, the explosion engulfed you but your flame resistant robes protected you whole. After that you tried to land some feet away, the pieces you had found to repair them weren't perfect and thus the landing was somewhat rough but it was overall an acceptable flight.

Your entire body was spewing smoke but it would soon cease; you turned around to look at the aftermath and saw the Marine somewhat dazed and clawing its way out of the debris. The bike hadn't been able to kill it as most of the impact force had been absorbed by the power armor, there were still some shrapnel and strange metallic bodies lodged on his body; they all bleed a thick and sugary smelly black ichor that denounced its taint.

Without a doubt you once again grabbed your Plasma Cannon and aimed at your enemy. It was now or never, you wouldn't have another chance to parry his attacks. As you pressed the trigger the hydrogen coils started to charge and illuminate and soon a small vibration engulfed the entire weapon. You looked at the ammo account and noticed that you only had two more shoots; reloading would simply take too many time...

The Cannon spew a heavy amount of smoke and steam from its exhausts, a small spark flew from its coils and playfully landed on the metallic floor. Not needing stealth anymore you yelled the prayer at the top of your augmented lungs and released the trigger as soon as it was sufficiently charged. A superheated plasma column flew and impacted directly on your target, the largest shrapnel fragments melted and became completely fused with its armor or his exposed body parts. This made him yell in pain in such a volume that it even muffled your prayers and made the triple sealed airlock windows crack severely.

>Spend the last shoot of your Plasma Cannon.
>Use the arc gun to pierce the window and create an atmospheric breach. Since he isn't completely sealed he will asphyxiate sooner or later.
>Now that he is somewhat confused try to push him into the incinerator system and see how he's burned alive and then threw into the warp.
>Write in.

Trow into the incinerator, purify by fire

Well I considered instakilling him but that would have made the fight way too easy. I planned this to be some kind of mini-boss fight.

>>42443740
Offscreen death. It was a 3 Rak'Gols vs 2 CSM fight. I know some people might believe that one CSM would be able to kill more than once but still fights can go in many ways.

We need to save the last shot for him, throw this guy into the imaterium

Oh btw. After the quest is over ( I have planned that the next Arc will be the biggest and last one ) I have considered creating something called "Novice Heretek Quest: The Lost Chapters: Oihan"

Basically mini quests that would detail what the characters that we have left behind have been doing.

Oihan, Liwet, Juliannus and other characters could have them. You guys think its a good idea?

It's an interesting one. How good it is depends on how this turns out.

I would be down, I have consistantly loved this quest.

(It's the one that pulled me from lurking in the archives and reading to actually trying to participate)
