"Shura's probably not too happy to see us anyway." Melee comments.

"Trip..." you turn to the monk woman, producing 3 pairs of sunglasses with your Clothes Beam, handing one to her and one to your brother. "...time to make Demon King Shura..." you put your shades on, "...see the light."

Acer groans. "Maple no."

"Maple yes." You motion your plan quickly to them, making the pose for the Solar Flare, then pointing to Trip and finally at yourself. Reassuring Misa and her family that they'll be safe, the three of you head off to meet Shura face to face. He's with several monsters and other Demons, though none of them seem to be anywhere near his strength.

"Ah, so it is you brats. I thought I smelled your stench on the way here. Still helping those traitors?" Before you can even reply, he then turns his attention to Trip, glaring at her. "...Sanzo."

"Shura." she returns with a glare herself. "You shouldn't have bothered this world again. You could have lived in peace."

He laughs. "We both know that isn't an option."

His eyes lock onto you as an aura of darkness seems to seep out of his body. "So, you're the one who has it. No wonder."

"How did you get out, anyway?" Keep stalling, keep waiting... 'Brobro, on three?'

'Three...' he thinks at you.

"I..." he almost growls out the answer. "...had some assistance. I believe you are familiar with him. I'm surprised how quickly he was willing to turn his back on fellow humans, but I guess Gero has his reasons."

...interesting. "And let me guess, Towa was helping him? Oh, she tell you about our last meeting?" Almost there... 'Two...'

"I haven't heard from her in quite a while. No need, though. My dark power is more than enough to squash the three of you like the insects you are." His aura blazes as he takes a step forward.

'One...' That what he thinks? Well... "You think that 'dark power' will help you? Well, time to help you... SEE THE LIGHT!" You swiftly put your hands to your face, Acer doing the same with a groan. "SOLAR FLARE!"

The brilliant flash blinds Shura and seems to visibly harm the demons and monsters around him. Trip slams her staff into the ground and places her hands forward, you doing the same before they have a chance to recover, the both of you giving a shout of "SAMMA VACA!"

Shura's Power Level plummets down to about 9000, and as he tries to recover, your brother quickly runs at him, delivering a hard, powerful, Kaio-ken boosted downward slash at him, Shura trying to step aside but not moving out of the way in time, a large cut struck down his torso. He howls in pain as your brother prepares to continue his attack, and his Power Level seems to drop again, down to about 6000...

While it might be a problem if they get up, seems like they won't any time soon. You focus on making sure Shura's strength stays drained, he is NOT getting the upper hand like last time. For what it's worth, Shura still seems to be extremely tough, but he can't quite keep up with your brother. Acer goes to town on him, lot letting Shura get a chance to counterattack.

"You... you BASTARD! How DARE you think you can match up to my power, mortal?! I AM THE DEMON KING!" Shura finally manages to get some distance, and uses the opportunity to fly upwards. His aura flares like an inferno, and even with all the weakening going on, his Power Level jumps to 12,000...

"You're an usurper, backed by Towa..." Acer replies, reversing is grip on his blade for... some reason, taking a stance, and... he seems to pouring Ki into it. You and Trip can both feel the magic power of the sword almost exponentially increase. "You threaten our world, try to force a girl into becoming your bride... you're not fit to be ANY sort of King!" With a thunderous roar, your brother slashes forward, a beam enhanced by the magic of the blade and his own Ki and magic jetting out from it. It hits true, and knocks Shura out of the sky. His strength plummets again, his forces finally coming to their senses as they see him fall. Acer motions to you and Trip to let up on the Samma Vaca, and as you both do so, you find that Shura's strength doesn't recover. Acer stands over the Demon King, blade pointed at him. "You get one chance to surrender. I suggest you take it, Shura."

You motion to your brother to move aside first, then CLOTHES BEAM up some restraints, resistant to Demon Magic, lightly healing his wounds so he won't die. You let your brother and Trip interrogate him, while keeping watch over his minions and the other Power Level. The monsters and Demons seem to know when they're outclassed, and keep their distance, while the Power Level... wait, it's coming from SPACE?

"Gero. What did he do?" brobro demands from Shura.

"H-helped open a new portal... in exchange for access to the Demon Realm... he seems to have some assistants helping him..." He seems to know struggling is pointless. "He helped me... I helped him. Fair trade."

"...Towa's schemes, probably." he comments, looking at you. The both of you look upwards, Shura apparently finally noticing it too and... Gods, it's like a maelstrom of Ki. This power, it's almost like Towa's but... even stronger. You notice it finally break atmosphere, and it's... in a pod, of some kind? It crashes down a few hundred meters away.

He seems rather amused by your little introduction. Acer is next, though his is more... reserved. "I'm her brother, Acer Mahogany." He points his blade at Shura. "I'm the one who stopped him here and now. Sorry about that." he says with a bit of a smirk.

"I like you, kids. You're not boring." he responds with a laugh. "I guess you can call me... Demon Prince Beelzebub! ...though I'd prefer just Beelzebub, to be honest."

All the demons seem to kneel at the announcement of his name, from the ones Diavolo's group managed to defeat to the ones sitting on the sidelines of Shura's forces. Gola is the first to speak among them. "Prince, if you don't mind me asking... where have you been, all this time?"

He looks up at the starry sky. "It's a long, long story..."

They all start to shuffle single-file in one direction, grumbling lowly, carrying a still-restrained Shura with them. "...this won't be the end." he growls at the red demon... boy? How old is he, anyway?

"Yes it is. When I get back, there will be some... changes around here." Beelzebub grunts. Melee and Gola seem to start walking back, but the Prince stops them. "Thief told me about your searches. You went everywhere, and I admire that loyalty. You two get to feast as well."

They bow to him. "We're honored, prince." All of you head into the castle, Diavolo and his group celebrating, with Mark apparently doing the best out of all of them. He seems to have gotten a nickname for his accomplishments, "Hercule." While initially a bit frightened by the Prince's appearance, the King and Queen allow it. Beelzebub chows down in a... wow, not even Yajirobe or Goku seem to wolf things down as quickly as he does, in comparison. Once satisfied with his meal, you get a quick question in for him.

He shrugs at you both and continues. Better than having to answer a million questions yourself. "A wizard named Opan tricked me into believing that they were able to be used to help locate my father. He instead used them to open a music box, revealing a warrior boy named Minotia... who was carrying with him a terrible curse. A... 'monster' named..." he glances at Melee and Gola. "Hirudegarn."

They freeze up, the color vanishing from their faces.

Minotia had considered trying to stop the monster at one point by jettisoning himself and it into space. I explained how it's a stupid plan; all it would do is release the monster. We spent many months together, searching many planets, myself having to stay awake and watch over things whenever Minotia fell asleep, his grip on the monster ever so loosened. It wasn't easy, but every night it happened, I managed to become stronger and stronger. We finished this about... 10 years ago, with the demon and the boy sealed, the planet saved, and the wizard vanquished. I'd been trying to return ever since. I managed to hijack a couple space pods from the Planet Trade Organization and sent Thief to Earth first, to try and prepare for my arrival."

Apparently they were a scouting group, trying to learn something about the Earth. Didn't see much of the Galactic Patrol aside from the news reports of them. Not on good terms with the PTO."

Well, useful information, though... something's bothering you. "What... exactly is Hirudegarn?"

Melee and Gola seem to almost sink away, Beelzebub taking another glass of water. "...a mistake. A thousand years ago, Kashvar wizards on the planet Kontas tried to resurrect a being whose power was long sealed away in the Demon Realm. A... Majin. A Demon God." You, Acer, and Trip all give shocked reactions, the Prince noticing. "There are beings far stronger than regular Demons in my realm. Hirudegarn was one of them, sealed there in order to prevent it from causing chaos throughout the universe. The Kashvar found a way to bring it back. It was stopped by the Guardian of Kontas, their Kami, using every last bit of strength to break the creature in two, then seal it in the warrior brothers Tapion and Minotia."

A strike is an all-encompassing term for hitting something with a weapon.

Be it bashing with a club, or slashing with a sword.

A slash is admittedly used to refer to something shallow or otherwise not immediately, or at all fatal.

A cut, on the other hand, is deep, and typically crippling or lethal.

So if you "strike the slash" you're just attacking twice.

Also, a blade generates cutting power by motion, you won't get a good cut in if you put it against something and punch it through, the moment you hit something like bone, it just stops. However, if you get a good hit going, you can cut through bone with a single strike. If you have to attack with two separate "motions" that is stupid.

As it stands, the Avan Strash is just an attack with high cutting power, anyone who says otherwise is silly.

You also take time to head down and help Bulma fix the Gravity Chamber, especially since she's been feeling ill more often.

The morning you start, you're greeted by Bulma. Still feeling under the weather. "Hegh... thanks, Maple. We'd usually have our folks busy with this, but now that construction's going to start at Papaya Island, it'll take longer without-HRK." She runs off, holding her mouth. The sounds you hear are... less than pleasant.

"N-need me to hold your hair back?" you question.

"I'll... be fine..." she groans out. Poor her...

You get to work, and make some good progress in, about 80% of the repairs done by the end of the week, with your camels offering to help, of course. Such a good deal. Still... Bulma seems to have continued illness, mostly nausea, though it seems to fade later in the day. She also mentions that Yamcha was signed on with one of the Baseball teams in West City, the Taitans. The two of you get a bit of a laugh out of that one, bit of irony there, but even with the Baseball practice Yamcha seems to have kept up on his training.

See if Goku would be up for some more training with Popo and Trip. The two of you make a good team, and you both still have a lot you can learn from each other that could help you improve.

Having a long-term training plan set up with those guys is probably our best bet, both for gains between missions, and growing closer to Goku. A chance to regularly train together, then unwind together afterwards? Goku and Maple would be all over that.
